Transcript
- 0:02Well, it has been an incredible week of news within the true
- 0:08crime community. We are going to get started with
- 0:12our very first Friday night wrap up.
- 0:16Stick with me. This video contains mature
- 0:31themes and discussions intended only for adult audiences.
- 0:35Viewer discretion is advised. Hello there my friend and
- 0:40welcome back. So glad that you are here.
- 0:42Thank you very much for joining me this Friday evening.
- 0:45As I take a sip of water, I wow, Gavin has something going on
- 0:54here. How does one do it backwards?
- 0:57I don't know. It doesn't matter, guys.
- 1:00I'm a big, sloppy, hairy mess. That's just what I am right now.
- 1:04And I try to keep it in a ponytail.
- 1:06I try to keep yeah it. I'm just a big sloppy, hairy
- 1:08mess. And we're just all going to have
- 1:11to deal with it a little bit. And welcome back.
- 1:17I am Gavin. This is another true crime
- 1:19conversation. This is the first time that
- 1:20we're going to do what I think we're probably going to do from
- 1:23here on out. If it works, we're going to do a
- 1:25Friday night wrap up kind of the news that's been happening in
- 1:29true crime over the week. Of course, this week has been
- 1:33mostly an Ellen Greenberg week. Because on Monday.
- 1:37We we had. That report that dropped and so
- 1:40we're just going to get into it. We're going to get into that a
- 1:45little bit, but there are other things that I want to share with
- 1:47you. We're going to we're going to
- 1:48talk about baby Emmanuel Harrow. We're going to talk about Donna
- 1:52Adelson. We're going to talk about hidden
- 1:55true crime, Laura and Laura Matthias.
- 2:00Apparently I'm now I'm like second guessing myself.
- 2:03Is it Laura or Lauren? Lauren, of course, you know, you
- 2:08ever have those moments where you just like brain fog brain
- 2:10freeze just doesn't work. So Lauren doing a nine hour live
- 2:18stream about what she says is a stalker and that is actually
- 2:24something that many of us in the YouTube sphere really fear.
- 2:32You know, 11 kind of crazy person can ruin your whole life.
- 2:38So I'm sympathetic to that. We're going to get into just a
- 2:42few details of that. Not, not tons because she, it's
- 2:45her channel, it's her story. She'll be able to tell it.
- 2:47But it is important that that we all know what's going on.
- 2:51I think the best place to start is probably on the Emmanuel
- 2:58Harrow case. So we all remember Emmanuel
- 3:02Harrow was a 7 month old little boy, little baby boy who
- 3:08disappeared sometime between August 5th and August 14th.
- 3:12Her or his mother, Rebecca Harrow.
- 3:20My goodness, now I need to sneeze.
- 3:25Oh I held back the dad sneeze as best as I could.
- 3:28Her his mother Rebecca Harrow claimed that she was knocked
- 3:34unconscious and the baby was taken from her car outside the
- 3:41big 5 side note tangent here we're going to watch a clip here
- 3:48in a little bit of a video that I'm going to put the link in the
- 3:52description down below. I haven't done it yet I just too
- 3:55much going on today, but there is a big 5 reference in that
- 4:00video. The clip we're going to watch
- 4:02tonight is not that, but. But you guys should watch the
- 4:07video. OK, so she claims she.
- 4:11Claims she was knocked unconscious, the baby was taken
- 4:15but both her and her husband Jake Harrow were arrested for
- 4:20the murder of little baby Emmanuel.
- 4:23Though nobody has ever been discovered, which is crazy to
- 4:30me, but we have some good news. Silver lining it, I mean none,
- 4:37none of this is good news, but silver lining and that is that
- 4:42the Riverside County DA's office announced yesterday that Jake
- 4:47Harrow has pleaded guilty to the murder of little Emmanuel.
- 4:53Let's just read this, this press release.
- 4:56The father of seven month old Emmanuel Harrow pled guilty
- 4:59today, October 16th, 2025 to the child's murder.
- 5:03Jake Mitchell Harrow, date of Birth 2/9/93 of Cabazon, entered
- 5:08guilty pleas to 1 count each of murder, child endangerment, and
- 5:12filing a false police report at a felony settlement conference
- 5:16at the Hall of Justice in Riverside.
- 5:18He is scheduled to be sentenced on November 3rd, 2025 in
- 5:23Department 61 at the Hall of Justice.
- 5:26Jay Carl's guilty pleas were to the court and not a plea
- 5:30agreement with the District Attorney's Office.
- 5:32Oh no. OK, now we remember in the case
- 5:38that he had pleaded guilty to terrible crimes involving the CA
- 5:43of his little girl. Little girl that 10 years later
- 5:48suffers physical maladies because of his CA.
- 5:56And if you remember the DA complained that he threw himself
- 6:01upon the mercy of the court and mercy was given.
- 6:07But it and it appears that this is what's happening in this
- 6:10case. He is pleading guilty to the
- 6:12court and not it's not a plea agreement with the DA's office
- 6:16and a plea to the court. A defendant enters guilty pleas
- 6:19to all charged counts and the judge in the case determines the
- 6:23sentence a defendant will serve. Harrow faces a potential
- 6:26sentence of 25 years to life in prison.
- 6:30On that same date, November 3rd, his wife, Rebecca Renee Harrow,
- 6:34date of birth 23840. My goodness, she is rocking the
- 6:39cradle, is she not? Billy Idol Doesn't matter.
- 6:46Is scheduled to have her. I bet Moni has seen Billy Idol
- 6:50in concert. Moni, have you seen Billy Idol
- 6:53in concert? OK, Anyway, Haro Rebecca is
- 6:58scheduled to have her preliminary hearing and
- 7:01Department 61 on charges of murder and filing a false police
- 7:04report. The false report charges stem
- 7:07from the defendants falsified report of Emanuel's abduction on
- 7:11August 14th and Yucaipa when Rebecca Haro claimed she was
- 7:15attacked in a parking lot while changing the baby's diaper and
- 7:18Emanuel was then kidnapped. Authorities in San Bernardino
- 7:22County investigating that report found it to be false and the
- 7:26couple was later arrested and charged by the Riverside County
- 7:30DA's office with Emanuel's murder.
- 7:32As of this news release again yesterday, the boy's remains
- 7:35have not been recovered. Because there are still active
- 7:38criminal proceedings involving Rebecca Harrow, the District
- 7:42Attorney's Office will be making no additional comments regarding
- 7:45the case or the guilty pleas of Jay Caro.
- 7:48And while that printed off as A2 pager, it really is just A1
- 7:51pager. So we've got some good news
- 7:54here. Got some good news that we have
- 7:58got a guilty plea. Let's just see.
- 8:01Let's just see if Mooney has responded yet.
- 8:04I want to know. Mooney has seen Billy Idol in in
- 8:11concert because of course she has.
- 8:14Of course she has. You know, yesterday we had a fun
- 8:17little conversation about cars and Mooney talked about the car
- 8:23that she had with the 8 track and all that stuff.
- 8:26I, I have identified my, my dream classic car.
- 8:34I would like, I just want to make sure that this is the right
- 8:37one. Hold on.
- 8:42Yes, I would like a 1963 Lincoln Continental convertible.
- 8:48I think rolling in one like black with big white wall tires.
- 8:53I think I would look good. I think it would look terrific
- 8:58and I think I hope someday that that is going to be mine.
- 9:01It will not have an 8 track Mooney.
- 9:04It will have some sort of something that will allow me to
- 9:09Bluetooth. But anyway, OK, glad that you've
- 9:13seen Billy Idol in concert. All right, so that's that's the
- 9:18good news in on the Jake Harrow front.
- 9:22Quick, quickly rolling back around to Ellen Greenberg.
- 9:28This is a case that we've covered all week.
- 9:30Obviously, this is a case that matters a lot to me and these
- 9:33two fine folks and I don't want to skip over the fine folks
- 9:38part. These are some of the best
- 9:40people I've ever met. Josh and Sandy Greenberg here,
- 9:44we see them here. This was written this morning.
- 9:48Philadelphia officials offer update in Ellen Greenberg case,
- 9:51which we all know, but I'm just going to quickly cover it.
- 9:53Over 14 years after Ellen Greenberg, 27 year old teacher,
- 9:56was found dead in her apartment with over 20 stab wounds, City
- 10:00of Philadelphia has again ruled her death as a suicide in an
- 10:03autopsy report released this week.
- 10:07Wasn't really an autopsy report. The case, which has generated
- 10:11intense controversy and accusations of a police cover
- 10:14up, reentered the national conversation after the City of
- 10:17Philadelphia entered a settle agree settlement agreement with
- 10:20Greenberg's parents earlier this year.
- 10:22That was on February 4th. I don't think it was signed till
- 10:25April, but that's when it happened.
- 10:27Part of the settlement agreement was a review of Greenberg's
- 10:30death. The family has been attempting
- 10:31to get the ruling of a suicide change for over a decade.
- 10:36The official cause of death in the case has been changed
- 10:39multiple times, switching from suicide to homicide before
- 10:42returning to a determination of suicide.
- 10:45Now that is incorrect. Now that is incorrect.
- 10:48It was. There was never a determination
- 10:51of suicide prior to homicide. What there was was a bunch of
- 10:57cops saying this is not a homicide.
- 11:00That's what happened when Doctor Osborne looked at Ellen, he
- 11:06found her to have died by homicide.
- 11:11So this, this isn't correct, but, and it's not even close
- 11:16enough, but we'll go on returning to a determination of
- 11:19suicide that was upheld by the city's independent review, which
- 11:23I quibble with that word performed by the city's chief
- 11:28medical examiner, Dr. Simon. Dr. Simon, by the way, I found
- 11:31out, is married to a lawyer, a man who worked in the
- 11:36Philadelphia District Attorney's office at about the same time
- 11:41that all of this happened, Simon wrote her 32 page report.
- 11:46Released the 13th, that again, I don't think it was released the
- 11:5213th. It was the 10th.
- 11:55This is not correct. The green bird's death is best
- 12:00classified as suicide. Simon added Greenberg was
- 12:03suffering from anxiety mostly stemming from her work as a
- 12:05teacher, and the Greenberg would have been capable of causing all
- 12:0923 stab wounds on her body. I say nay, and I've been trying
- 12:13to reach out to Joseph Scott Morgan to see if he can come on,
- 12:17but I think just based on his social media posts, he and his
- 12:21lovely wife Kim are preoccupied by beautiful little
- 12:27grandchildren, so we're not going to be able to get Joseph
- 12:29on anytime soon. She also discussed 31
- 12:33contusions, which I contend are 59, not 31 were found on Ellen's
- 12:39body. Says it was her opinion that the
- 12:43contusions were not intentional infliction, but rather were
- 12:47consistent with incidental contact sustained during
- 12:49activities of daily living. That part killed me.
- 12:51That part killed me because again, my wife is a is a very
- 12:59good avatar of Ellen Greenberg. Height, weight, you know,
- 13:04strength, the whole thing. I'm telling you, if she had that
- 13:10many bruises on her body, I would be so concerned.
- 13:14So yeah, I'm calling BS on that, Joe Pedraza said.
- 13:19Anybody who has looked at this case knows it's not a suicide.
- 13:24And what does this medical examiner says?
- 13:26Well, she says, well, she was a first grade teacher and those
- 13:29are bruises that happened during normal course of daily activity.
- 13:33What is this full contact first grade?
- 13:35They're doing essentially the Philadelphia Eagle scrimmages
- 13:38without pads on. The bruises exist.
- 13:40The explanation is silly. It's what Joe said.
- 13:44Pedraza said the family was done with Philadelphia and the only
- 13:47way for Greenberg to get justice was from outside the city.
- 13:50The findings were released one day before a scheduled hearing
- 13:53about the results. Again, incorrect.
- 13:56It was 3 days before. Well, OK, all right, so there's
- 14:03our obligatory talking about the stupid 32 page report that came
- 14:08from Alan Greenberg's case. Let's check in, see what you
- 14:12guys, what you guys are saying here.
- 14:20Real quick, Robin with a rebel yell.
- 14:27That's funny, Shay says. Gavin, I'm in love with you, but
- 14:30I respect your marriage, so I'll back off.
- 14:34Love your channel. So smart.
- 14:36Listen, Shay, I deeply appreciate it.
- 14:39Thank you so much. I've been told my whole life
- 14:44that I was smart and I've never felt, I've always felt like
- 14:49average, just kind of an average guy.
- 14:53But my oldest sister, my oldest sister, who is the smartest
- 14:57person that I know, she, she insists, she insists that I am
- 15:07above average. And I, I don't know, I think we
- 15:12all have our interests, right? There are things that we have
- 15:14interests in. And so because we're so
- 15:17interested in this thing, we tend to apply ourselves more.
- 15:20And because we attend, because we tend to apply ourselves more,
- 15:26we come off as overly knowledgeable or, or something
- 15:32about about the thing. And I think that's what happened
- 15:35in my case. I remember when I worked for LH
- 15:38Labs, it was so amazing because I was around engineers all day.
- 15:43Larry and Henry were engineers and then others were added as we
- 15:49started to grow that company. And I just loved sitting in a
- 15:54room going I am not following a single thing y'all are saying I
- 16:00loved it just Ducky says why couldn't they have the
- 16:05independent in quotes autopsy done outside of Philly.
- 16:08Indeed, the the reason it was done by Philadelphia is because
- 16:18that was the that was the settlement that they reached.
- 16:24What color? Canary yellow for me.
- 16:26No, I want, we're talking about my dream 63 Continental.
- 16:32I want it to be black. I want it to be, I want it to
- 16:37look like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
- 16:40So I don't want anything to be done to it as far as like making
- 16:47it cool or making it modern or hip or anything.
- 16:51I am all about just a black Lincoln Continental right off
- 16:57the showroom floor. However, I will say the Canary
- 17:01yellow. I had a a 66 Beetle that I
- 17:06painted Canary yellow with white walls on the doors.
- 17:13It was an amazing car. Oh, let's go back up.
- 17:20Let's see about Emmanuel, Robin said.
- 17:25Told me wrong about the BMW that my that her sister has.
- 17:28It's a 750X drive. Yeah, that's cool.
- 17:32Now 750 is a their big luxury car.
- 17:35X drive means it's all-wheel drive.
- 17:37That is a great car. I have had a 740 and a 750.
- 17:42I have not had a 750. At the time, it would have been
- 17:47an XI. They they then started branding
- 17:50them X drives. Our our current BMW is an X
- 17:54drive. OK, Nobody's saying anything
- 17:58about the horrors to me anyway, so I will just move on.
- 18:07Debbie. Yeah.
- 18:08You and the Greenbergs had the report on the 10th, but
- 18:10everybody else got it on the 13th.
- 18:12Yeah. OK.
- 18:13OK. I take your comment.
- 18:19I have the gift of discernment. You're going to look like a pimp
- 18:22daddy. Those white walls.
- 18:24Yeah. And I promised myself I would
- 18:26never have another convertible because I I had one convertible.
- 18:32It was my daily driver, and it was so loud.
- 18:34But in this case, where it's one where I would just drive every
- 18:37once in a while. Yeah, I had a Forest Green Hemi.
- 18:44Awesome, awesome. OK, let's give me a second.
- 18:53Let's move on to the next case. And I'm going to save the clip
- 19:02for the end. OK, from tallahassee.com pushing
- 19:11the right buttons here. So did you guys see Donna
- 19:16Adelson sentencing hearing? Her comment to the court was so,
- 19:27so unbelievable to me. I think the case was made rather
- 19:34easily that she was the mastermind of it all.
- 19:37But her, her comment to the court was like the the dastardly
- 19:43villains that did this to Danny. They have rightly paid a price.
- 19:49But I had nothing to do with this.
- 19:51You got the right people in jail the first time, But I am an
- 19:54innocent woman. Uh huh.
- 19:56Yeah. OK, so you can't make it up.
- 19:59Key takeaways from Donna Adelson's defiant sentencing
- 20:02hearing. And this was published
- 20:04yesterday. Donna Adelson gave one last
- 20:06defiant speech before the curtain came down on her for
- 20:09good during her October 13th sentencing hearing, which saw
- 20:12her try to rewrite reality of her involvement in the murder
- 20:15for hire of Dan Markel in a brazen display that stunned even
- 20:19seasoned courthouse observers. The 75 year old grandmother
- 20:23claimed during the 13 minute tirade that she had nothing to
- 20:27do with the killing, that she was devastated by the loss of
- 20:30her former son-in-law. I'm sure she was, and that
- 20:33prosecutors had gone after an innocent woman.
- 20:37Clutched my pearls. Her comments flew in the face of
- 20:40vindictive emails and texts obtained during the more than a
- 20:44decade long investigation into the murder, in which she
- 20:47expressed hatred for Markell and suggested dressing his son's up
- 20:53in Nazi uniforms just to get back him.
- 20:56Can you imagine? They ran contrary to wiretapped
- 21:00conversations between her and her son, Charlie Adelson, in
- 21:03which she talked in code about the murder, referring to it as
- 21:07something that involved probably the two of us.
- 21:10Charlie Adelson, who was found guilty in 23 and Markel's
- 21:13murder, is serving a life sentence in a South Dakota
- 21:15prison. And they did nothing to impress
- 21:20Leon Circuit Judge Steven Everett, who sentenced Adelson
- 21:23to a mandatory sentence of life in prison for the for first
- 21:26degree murder plus 30 years for conspiracy and solicitation.
- 21:31A stern Everett even told Adelson her comments could be
- 21:34viewed as an utter lack of remorse.
- 21:38Assistant State Attorney Georgia Kaplan, who let Adelson drone on
- 21:42about her trial and conviction, later called the hearing a goat
- 21:46rope. I have never heard that phrase
- 21:51before or a situation gone horribly awry.
- 21:53Thank you, tallahassee.com, for telling me what a goat rope is.
- 21:58I don't think anybody's ever seen anything like this Adelson
- 22:01circus, said Fred Conrad, a Tallahassee criminal defense
- 22:05attorney who watched the hearing over live stream.
- 22:07You can't make it up. I guess you could.
- 22:10You'd win an Academy Award if you did.
- 22:15Yeah, I hear the takeaways from Donna Adelson's hearing.
- 22:19She wanted to clear her name in the eyes of her family.
- 22:22OK. Yeah.
- 22:23Could Donna Adelson's statement impact her or her son Charlie
- 22:27Adelson's appear appeal mean. Yeah.
- 22:30OK. That hearing turned into a
- 22:33Saturday Night Live skit a day after the sentencing, Assistant
- 22:37State Attorney Georgia Kaplan told a Democrat reporter.
- 22:41The Tallahassee Democrat, Donna Adelson, only helped the
- 22:44prosecution when she shot arrows all over the courtroom in court,
- 22:47including to the judge. Judge Jansen said both Kaplan
- 22:51and Everett handled the situation professionally, even
- 22:54as Donna Adelson made ludicrous assertions, including that she
- 22:58loved Markell, she hated Danny, Jansen said.
- 23:01All of her writing said she hated Danny, and it was just
- 23:04horrible. The whole thing reminded me of a
- 23:07Saturday Night Live skit. It was a spoof on the Adelson
- 23:10sentence. Yeah, blah, blah, blah.
- 23:15I think that's all I really wanted to read.
- 23:16So fortunately for us, we don't have to listen to Donna Adelson
- 23:22ever again. And I hope that ends up being
- 23:28true because, well, I just don't want to hear from her ever
- 23:35again. So on appeal, I guess maybe
- 23:37we'll hear from her. But yeah, hopefully not.
- 23:40Hopefully not. All right, on to the Celeste
- 23:48Rivas Hernandez case. This one isn't much of an
- 23:51update, but it came out a couple days ago so.
- 23:55The. Update is basically that
- 23:57officers responded to a 911 call because of a noise complaint a
- 24:01couple months before Celeste died.
- 24:05But excuse me. And this is from the US Sun.
- 24:08It does have a little bit of rumor, but I'm going to read it.
- 24:10OK. Oh, but I am moving forward.
- 24:14Hang on just a second. Let's see what you guys are
- 24:15saying about. Well, First off, snap.
- 24:22Happy the 63 does have the suicide doors.
- 24:26Thank you very much. O Contreras says.
- 24:32Love your calm voice. It's like gentle rain on a tin
- 24:35roof. That's funny.
- 24:36Too many creators think loud is better.
- 24:39Don't ever change, guys. I think I think it's universal
- 24:44that everybody hates the sound of their own voice, right?
- 24:47I don't want to listen to myself speak.
- 24:51It's nobody likes their own voice.
- 24:54But apparently thank you to my dad's baritone pipes and my
- 25:01mom's richly tambered vocal folds.
- 25:06I got a good voice. So I I've been thinking about
- 25:10changing the like the tagline on the site to something like the
- 25:19crime is Dark but the voice is velvet.
- 25:22But it feels a little too self congratulatory.
- 25:25You know what I mean? OK, in the shape of a heart.
- 25:33I think Donna and Javi both gave those speeches to get back at
- 25:36both Denmark Markel's parents for what they said in their
- 25:39victim statements. However, Mr. and Misses Adelson
- 25:43twisted it as usual. Meredith made Donna testify.
- 25:47If Wendy goes to trial, I doubt it because I doubt that she will
- 25:51ever admit that she was part of it in the shape of a heart.
- 25:59Adelson's did not want grandsons to think I'll of them help,
- 26:02hence their comments at sentencing and the fact that
- 26:04Dan's parents said the opposite and call the Adelson's out.
- 26:07OK, au contraire, she should have got punished.
- 26:12Her influence on her family was the catalyst.
- 26:16Robin saying kind of Campy. Yeah, it is.
- 26:18It is. It very much would be if I said
- 26:23Velvet voice. I don't know.
- 26:27Maybe Campy is on brand. I don't know.
- 26:30Let's do a poll. Let's do a poll.
- 26:34Give me a second. We're going to need to go over
- 26:39to here. I need to mute the tab and then
- 26:43we will make we'll start a poll. Should I change my tagline to
- 26:53something that references my voice?
- 26:59Yes or no? Or please, for the love of all
- 27:08holy, no. All right, so your choices are
- 27:15going to be yes, no, and please, for the love of all holy no.
- 27:19Because that's how many characters I have.
- 27:21Let's see what you guys think. Let's see what you guys think.
- 27:24All right, while that is going on, let us go over to where am I
- 27:32going to? Ah, the mansion.
- 27:33Yes. OK police paid a visit to singer
- 27:37David, the Los David's Los Angeles rental mansion, after a
- 27:40430 AM 911 call 2 months before a 15 year old was found dead in
- 27:44the trunk of his car. The police investigation into
- 27:47Celeste Rivas Hernandez's death has been dragging on for six
- 27:51weeks and no arrests have been made.
- 27:53They have confirmed she was a teen runaway and was reported
- 27:56missing a year before her tragic death.
- 27:58While sources claim to the US son, her family felt helpless.
- 28:02David's manager at Interscope records, John Marshall, had been
- 28:05renting the $4.7 million home in the Hollywood Hills with four
- 28:09bedrooms and four bathrooms for the star, priced at 20 grand a
- 28:13month. Man, I thought, I thought my
- 28:18mortgage, taxes and insurance were a lot. 20 G's OK.
- 28:26The US Sun obtained information through a Freedom of Information
- 28:30request showing a neighbor called 911 on Sunday, July 20th,
- 28:332025. The call was made around 4:38 AM
- 28:37regarding a public nuisance complaint, but police didn't
- 28:40arrive at the home until 8:57 AM.
- 28:42And great, great response time, fellas.
- 28:46A spokesperson for the LAPD said the noise problem was regarding
- 28:49loud music playing, but when the police eventually got to the
- 28:52house, the situation was resolved.
- 28:55There were no other 911 calls made from February 2024, when
- 28:59David reportedly moved in, until September 25, when his manager
- 29:04got out of the lease and the star moved out of the home.
- 29:07Revis's decomposing body was found in a Hollywood tow yard on
- 29:10September 8th after a Tesla registered to the singer was
- 29:13reported as an abandoned vehicle.
- 29:16The Los Angeles Medical Examiner has yet to release A cause of
- 29:18death and she was laid to rest earlier this month at a private
- 29:21funeral. We don't need to go through,
- 29:28Let's see, Oh. David's former neighbor claimed
- 29:32in a chat with the US son that he saw the singer and Revis all
- 29:36the time and believed they lived together at the home.
- 29:40I didn't know he was a singer, but I knew he had a Tesla as it
- 29:43was always parked outside, he said.
- 29:45He said he was with the girl regularly, all the time
- 29:49recognizing Revis from photographs.
- 29:52I'd be in my car and we'd acknowledge each other, say hi.
- 29:55That was about it. When they were heading to the
- 29:58store or wherever. I did ask him about his Tesla as
- 30:01his car was hit and he never fixed it.
- 30:03He didn't really say what happened.
- 30:06A neighbor added. Any time I tried to talk to
- 30:08them, they weren't very engaging.
- 30:10They kept to themselves. They friends told me they found
- 30:14a girl in a car, but I didn't realize it was her at first.
- 30:17The owner of the rental said news of Revis's death came as a
- 30:21shock, and he's now hired his own investigator, as reported by
- 30:24TMZ. So that I really don't care,
- 30:29yeah. So yeah, that is the update on
- 30:35Celeste O Contraire says I think he did it too many individuals
- 30:46had access to her and the vehicle to assume that I think
- 30:52he did it too many had access to her and the vehicle.
- 30:55So didn't I'm I'm not following it contrary easy listening
- 30:59crime. There we go.
- 31:00I'm the Delilah of true crime Mooney. 19 months, our first
- 31:07fanatic. There are very few bands that I
- 31:10haven't seen over the decades. I still frequent concerts. 19
- 31:13months. Woo Hoo.
- 31:14Yeah. Thank you very much.
- 31:15One man's trash. Member for 10.
- 31:18Let's see. It says new member, but it then
- 31:20it says member for 10 months on the other side.
- 31:22So I'm not sure which one it is. Yeah.
- 31:29But OK. So let's, let's see.
- 31:33The result of the poll here have to have to come over here.
- 31:40Should. So the question again was should
- 31:43I change my tagline to something that references my voice?
- 31:4652% say yes, 37 say no, and 12% say please.
- 31:54For the love of all holy, no. So we've got it's a 52 to 4951
- 32:01to 49 is what we got there. So who kind of split down the
- 32:07middle? Guys kind of split down the
- 32:08middle. I'm I don't know what I'm going
- 32:10to do. I don't know what I'm going to
- 32:14do. Bulldog Mom says everyone,
- 32:19please don't come for me. But when I first found you, I
- 32:22thought you were a religious channel because the stained
- 32:25glass windows behind you, but stayed for the content.
- 32:30That's funny. That is fun.
- 32:32No, I just live in in an historic house that has old
- 32:37Tiffany windows. It's really funny fact.
- 32:40I posted a picture. I think I already shared this
- 32:42with you guys, but I did post a picture in the tank of my new
- 32:50skeptic hat. And let's bring this up here
- 32:54real quick. That is that's the main stained
- 33:00glass window. But we've got we've got Tiffany
- 33:03glass throughout the whole house.
- 33:04That's pretty funny. I love it.
- 33:07And we won't come for you, Bulldog mom.
- 33:09That's pretty. It's pretty great.
- 33:11Meredith, Why haven't they charged David yet?
- 33:16That is an excellent question. I do.
- 33:18I have, I, I don't have a picture of him and her that I
- 33:24can bring up for you yet. I, I think they probably just
- 33:26don't have the case yet. I I'm sure that, one, there's no
- 33:33ruling of a homicide yet, and two, I bet the DA's officer
- 33:38like, Nope, give us more, get us more.
- 33:43Which is good. True crime is harsh.
- 33:46The voice isn't. Yeah.
- 33:50Keep them coming. Keep them coming.
- 33:53I yeah, windows are. They are.
- 33:58And you know what? You know what's funny?
- 34:00When we moved into the the house, I was like, I'm never
- 34:03going to get used to this. And now I hardly even give them
- 34:11any attention. Isn't that horrible?
- 34:16It's horrible. It just becomes a, it just
- 34:22becomes part of the house. All of the historic windows just
- 34:25become part of the house. What we're working on next,
- 34:28we've got two things that we're working on.
- 34:30The house. We have to finish up the front
- 34:31porch. We have to get columns replaced.
- 34:34We have to get a whole bunch of stuff done on the front porch.
- 34:37And then we are thinking about converting our third floor,
- 34:42which originally was a ballroom but is now a, it's like an
- 34:48apartment up there. It's a 3 bedroom apartment up
- 34:51there. We're thinking about turning
- 34:53that into two separate 2 bedroom apartments.
- 34:56The whole idea of having this house was so that everybody
- 34:59could come and visit and and that's what we want to do.
- 35:04Mooney wants to know if we hey at the right price.
- 35:07Mooney, it's for sale. You, you just name the price and
- 35:12I'll, I'll give you a yes or no Bulldog Mom, welcome to fanatic.
- 35:16Thank you very much for for joining.
- 35:19And Robin wants. Oh, yeah.
- 35:24So just Ducky wants me to read bedtime stories.
- 35:28Robin says I want Gavin to read Junie B Jones.
- 35:34It's funny. Nathan Fillion does have a
- 35:38voice. He does.
- 35:40Yeah. I just like maybe a month and a
- 35:44half ago did my obligatory yearly rewatch of Firefly and
- 35:53what it what it was the movie called?
- 35:57No, the movie, What was the movie called?
- 36:01Why am I blanking on that right now?
- 36:04Firefly movie Serenity. That's right, I do that every
- 36:10year. I watch every episode of
- 36:12Firefly, then I watch Serenity and I can't get enough of it.
- 36:17I love it. I know what's going to happen.
- 36:19I know the order of everything. I know when the different guests
- 36:23are going to appear. I know it all.
- 36:27And yet I watch it every year. Watch it every year.
- 36:32BMX Darko new BMX Darko, new Donna.
- 36:37Love Serenity too. OK, last one, last one that we
- 36:42want to talk about before I get you on to the clip that I want
- 36:48to share with you for my buddy Kenny.
- 36:50OK, what happened is Lauren Matias on Hidden True Crime
- 36:58posted a nine hour video. I have not watched a minute of
- 37:02it in fact. Well, it might be part of the
- 37:08clip. Doesn't matter.
- 37:10I I do watch other creators channels, but if I see 9 hours,
- 37:16I'm probably not going to watch it.
- 37:17So I didn't, but the headline sure did give me a, a, a bit of
- 37:24a, a wake up call and the head. Basically the headline is that
- 37:34Lauren Matthias has a stalker. So this is from a Reddit.
- 37:38I I just, I just did a couple of the replies here.
- 37:41It's we're not going to go over that whole thread.
- 37:43It was huge, but this redditor writes Lauren had a nine hour
- 37:49Long live last night. I was only able to watch one
- 37:51hour so I really don't understand what was going on.
- 37:54It seemed like a regular spat to me, but considering the fact
- 37:56that I missed out on an additional 8 hours, I am missing
- 38:00something. Does anyone have any information
- 38:05on what's going on? I'm surprised nobody has
- 38:07discussed this yet. I'm also not surprised that Law
- 38:10and Crime is under fire for bringing cameras into the
- 38:13courtroom. Their channel is always felt so
- 38:15icky to me. OK the stalker is Christina on
- 38:19TikTok. Says this redditor Dark haired
- 38:22Martian and her entire feed consists of only bullying crazy
- 38:28veiled threats aimed at Lauren. That's it.
- 38:30She only post junior high mean girl crap about Lauren of whom
- 38:33she was friends with for a year or less.
- 38:36That was really poorly written, but we're following.
- 38:39Can you imagine a grown woman with kids spending her time
- 38:42posting only about a person that hurt her feelings?
- 38:44Her goal is to spread awareness. She's manic, unhinged.
- 38:48I'd be fearful too. Happy, stable people don't ever
- 38:51do this kind of stuff. Ever, ever, ever.
- 38:56By the way, she says be kind to everyone, often as she posts
- 38:59disturbing content about one person.
- 39:00It's beyond crazy. The chick needs help.
- 39:03Lauren is right to watch out for this disturbed let's say person.
- 39:07And then another person responds.
- 39:08Agreed. This behavior is wild.
- 39:10I accidentally cut off the name of the redditor and way beyond
- 39:14normal. I don't care who hurt or
- 39:15feelings. This person is fixated to be so
- 39:17obsessive that you violate and no contact order multiple times,
- 39:21create and run a social media account that you post daily to,
- 39:24and have the audacity to reach out to professional contacts
- 39:27seems more serious than someone who's just immature, butthurt
- 39:30and has a little too much time on their hands.
- 39:32It seems like this person has some serious mental health
- 39:34issues that could make her a danger to herself and others.
- 39:38And that is the scary thing. I I'm not going to put myself in
- 39:42Lauren's position like I've never this is beyond.
- 39:46But there have been a couple times where with with with some
- 39:52people, viewers of the show that I have felt like, oh, is this
- 39:57about to turn really ugly? And yeah, fortunately for me,
- 40:03it, it hasn't yet. But that's one of the reasons
- 40:06why I, you know, don't want to give too many details about me.
- 40:12I'd probably give way too many. But that's one of the reasons
- 40:17why most of us who create content give very few details.
- 40:21About ourselves, where we live, you know, that's where we work,
- 40:25that sort of stuff. So I am thinking of Lauren and
- 40:29hoping that she stays safe and that if indeed this is as
- 40:33serious as it appears to be that that there can be some kind of
- 40:41police or legal action. OK, last thing that I want to
- 40:45share with you guys today. Oh, before I keep going keep
- 40:49going on without getting your comments Alexander, it was
- 40:55Lauren who did the 9 hour live on hidden true crime.
- 41:01Do you think her coming public in this way will help her
- 41:03legally? Yeah, I do.
- 41:08O contrary. Is your hair driving you insane?
- 41:10Yes, yes it is. And as I told Josh, well, I
- 41:15don't know. I think I, I was talking to Josh
- 41:17Ritter. I've got like this Carol Brady
- 41:20thing going. I just feel like Carol Brady,
- 41:24like in the early years of the Brady Bunch where it's just
- 41:27like, it just drives me nuts. And I was talking with my little
- 41:33niece today and Kimberly yesterday.
- 41:36I think I might, even though I've got a goal to just grow it
- 41:40out, to donate it. I think I might have to go to a
- 41:42professional and have it styled somehow because it actually
- 41:46looks longer than it really is. Right.
- 41:49I haven't had anything cut. Well, I've had the edges, you
- 41:53know, kept trim. I haven't had anything cut
- 41:56though, So it's all the same length.
- 41:58So I might, I might do that because it is driving me nuts.
- 42:09Oh, I see. Kathy with Grace Law and Crime
- 42:12wanted to have cameras in courtroom to film her protective
- 42:15order. Wow, I didn't know that.
- 42:21It is ridiculous that the stalker has to make an
- 42:23actionable move before lock and intervene.
- 42:25Yeah. Oh, Contra.
- 42:29Oh, yes, she needs to stop. That poor woman spent a whole
- 42:31day explaining her case. So yeah, I'm.
- 42:34I'm not feeling good for Lauren. I am hoping that all is well
- 42:39with her. OK, now the last thing that I
- 42:43want to share with you guys on this Friday night.
- 42:45Oh my goodness, it's been 42 minutes already is Let's see.
- 42:51I think I can bring it up here. OK, While I was in California
- 42:58visiting my folks, going on a little mental health holiday, my
- 43:04wife having. Let's see.
- 43:08I want to. Yeah, it's going to work.
- 43:11I hope. I hope this audio is going to
- 43:13work. But my wife gave me the gift of
- 43:16you need a break. You need to go see your mom and
- 43:18dad, go back to California and spend some time with your folks.
- 43:23Go see some friends. And I did.
- 43:26Now, one of my absolute best friends is the guy you're
- 43:31looking at right here. His name is Kenny Ballantine.
- 43:33Kenny is 193,000 different kinds of awesome.
- 43:38I just love him to death. One of the things that he's
- 43:41really good at is he is a documentary filmmaker and he's
- 43:46made, I mean you guys can look up Estamosaki, which is one that
- 43:49he did Estamosaki by Kenny Ballantine.
- 43:52Look up Nature Kids by Kenny Ballantine.
- 43:53He's done what is look up Healing us by Kenny Ballantine.
- 44:00He is incredibly talented and a person that I just deeply love.
- 44:06He and I are very different people in but but you know what
- 44:12with very different people, I think most of the time there's
- 44:19there's more that you have in common than you have than you
- 44:22have differences in with for dangling participle whatever.
- 44:29So Kenny, he just likes to make content and he has created an
- 44:33account called Quantum Mixtape. I will put a link in the
- 44:37description below. I will also share these episodes
- 44:41on on the tank in the tank. In fact, I might even write, I
- 44:47might even write A blog post about this because I just love.
- 44:51I've watched part one of two so far and of course I was there
- 44:54for the interview. But he's what he likes to do on
- 44:57Quantum Mixtape is he just likes to interview people that he
- 45:01finds interesting. And when I told him I was coming
- 45:04to California, I'd love to see him.
- 45:05He's like, I would love to see you.
- 45:07And by the way, you have to sit down for Quantum mix tape.
- 45:09So we did. OK, I'm going to show you about
- 45:13a how long is this? It's about a 5 minute clip of
- 45:22Kenny interviewing me, which seems rather self-serving, but
- 45:30he did such a good job that I'm just going to, I'm just going to
- 45:33go for it And then I will put the link to Quantum mix tape in
- 45:39the I'll put it in the live chat too for both parts while we're
- 45:43watching this. Was there a moment with with
- 45:46this particular thing where somewhere it's sort of like
- 45:50transcended being a thing I'm trying to do to to, to be my
- 45:55thing to like make an income and be a job to Oh my God, this
- 46:02actually like matters. It happened very early, very
- 46:07early. So I am not a true crime fan.
- 46:10I don't watch the true crime doc series on Netflix.
- 46:14I don't. I didn't grow up watching
- 46:17whatever Court TV or America's Most Wanted or Cops or whatever.
- 46:20You wouldn't be subscribed to your own channel.
- 46:22I would not. No.
- 46:23To this day I don't. Yeah, I and you know, a lot of
- 46:28my viewers, they're surprised the first time.
- 46:30Sometimes they're turned off, they go away, they come back,
- 46:33you know, when they realize I'm really not one of one of you.
- 46:37My friend Rick, he was the one, it was COVID and our business,
- 46:42he, he had a business where he, his service was the restaurant
- 46:46industry. My service was the electronics
- 46:49industry. And dealerships had to close.
- 46:52Restaurants had to close. That meant distributors didn't
- 46:55have anybody to sell to. Manufacturers couldn't sell
- 46:57anything like out of work. And he was out of work too,
- 47:01because nobody could go to a restaurant.
- 47:03So he had no clients. He said, why don't we do a
- 47:07YouTube channel there? I mean, there are a lot of
- 47:09people on YouTube that can't be as smart as us, and they're
- 47:12doing OK. And I went, yeah, I mean, we're,
- 47:17we're smart people, I guess, right?
- 47:20What, what would we do? And he said, how about true
- 47:23crime? And I was like, I mean, it's as
- 47:26good as ideas any that's OK. But you weren't drawn into it
- 47:30out of passion. No, he was, he was what I the
- 47:33opposite of what I described myself as.
- 47:35He loved America's Most Wanted. He he grew up on the story of
- 47:39Adam Walsh and Jonbenet Ramsey and, you know, all that stuff.
- 47:44And I was like, OK, well, do you think there are enough cases?
- 47:47I mean, what would we do? His idea was why don't we try to
- 47:53solve crimes? Which is I.
- 47:56Mean that requires a lot of chutzpah, right?
- 47:57It's like we're. Going to help solve crimes, but
- 48:01I was like, yeah, yeah. We're going to solve crimes,
- 48:03right? And so we gave each other a like
- 48:09a homework to try to find a case.
- 48:12And he found a case in Sacramento.
- 48:14And it was Judith Ann Hawkery. She was a nurse that worked at
- 48:21Sutter Memorial and it was 1970 and she was working the late
- 48:29shift and she was planning on going home to her apartment
- 48:32where her boyfriend had gone to meet with her to have a a late
- 48:37dinner, right Tina? And she never showed up.
- 48:41He goes out looking for her 'cause it's the 70s and finds
- 48:45her car in the in the parking lot and there is evidence of a
- 48:50struggle. Anyway, when we started looking
- 48:54at photos like Judy Hockery looks like my mom and her
- 49:01engagement ring from her boy. Well, fiance is almost exact.
- 49:06It's I never saw a picture of it, but there's a description of
- 49:09it in the police reports and it is my mother's wedding set and
- 49:15it was just like we've got we have to solve this for Judy like
- 49:19I I never met her. I don't know any of her family.
- 49:22I. But what can we do connection
- 49:25after? Yeah, I think the other thing
- 49:27was she, the apartment complex was my when my sister got
- 49:30married, that was her first apartment complex.
- 49:33Or just these little. Things and we ended up being in
- 49:38touch with a young man who was her paper delivery driver who
- 49:47testified to us that he saw it happen and it wasn't at 1:00 in
- 49:52the morning. He had all these different
- 49:53things, right. So we were like, I, I don't know
- 49:55if he was crazy person or not. Like in back then.
- 49:58It was hard to, I was, I feel like I've got crazy radar these
- 50:02days. But you know, we talked to, we
- 50:04talked to witnesses and then the, the capstone of that was a
- 50:10young man reached out to us who would have been like, would have
- 50:16been her son. DNA doesn't work that way, but
- 50:18you know, his father was the fiance and, you know, took
- 50:24forever to I, I don't think he ever got over it, but married,
- 50:29you know, later in life and had children and everything.
- 50:32So we, we started making these connections with people very
- 50:35early on. That's what sucked me in.
- 50:37What sucked me in isn't the like the horrifying nature of, of
- 50:43crime. It's the you know, how does how
- 50:46does this affect? Children and their parents.
- 50:51So yeah, let me just let me bring that up to right there.
- 50:56So I just want to share that with you.
- 50:59I think many of us don't many of you guys don't know why I even
- 51:04started in true crime and many of you may not not even know
- 51:07that I'm not really a fan of true crime.
- 51:10I just have been sucked into it and yeah, I mean, I love the
- 51:15comments about it. Looks like the Death Star.
