- speaker-0: Workman show and just this is our Thursday show with Well Within, which is our goal for all of ours, our lives and yours, is we really are excited about the idea of helping you move down this journey in life in terms of being well and as a wholeness concept that you have you're internally well, that you're well in your mind, you're well in your attitudes, relationships, all those kind of things. So well within means a lot to us. So we we really want to encourage you with that, and that's really our goal with the show. Kathy and I enjoy doing these. We actually talk about them for most of the week when we come when a Thursday's coming up. So it makes it a lot of fun. So anyway, we're gonna get started here. And I just wanna just welcome Kathy into the show and and you've been really busy with a lot of things. You've been doing a lot of quite a bit of hiking this summer and it's it's really been probably surprisingly joy for you because you we've not really done that as much in the summers the last ten years, but this summer you've been really busy with hiking. So how's that gone for ya? speaker-1: You know what, I have a friend of mine that loves hiking and she loves planning them. So I love joining her adventure and I've been able to I drive a little Volkswagen that doesn't do so well in the big old rocks and the boulders in the woods and she's got a big pickup and she's willing to drive. So it's been really fun. And I I guess I've always had the motto of it's a live it, not a diet, and recognizing that if we stop doing things, how easy it is for them just to go away. So when I have an opportunity To go hiking, I'm gonna go hiking. We did an eight-mile hike last week, and I a lot of times I'll post the photos, but they'd never do justice for being out there and going and living it. So I'm excited about. speaker-0: So how has the the hiking, how does that relate to our show? The well within, this is an off-the-cuff question. You know, when you think of well within and how we've talked about that concept of a wholeness piece of our lives, you know, food, health, muscle, brain, thinking, right? Attitude, you know, person, just joy, you know, all the things that well within could be talking about. How is hiking helping you with that? speaker-1: Well within is, you know, our health is not one layer. It's all these different layers. We're very complex in that way. But I'm also very much about unplugging those are those are my usually my Sundays when I'm away from my phone, which is awesome. I turn that thing off. And just getting back into nature and understanding the power of grounding, being in nature, and it just does something internally to you, at that It is well with my soul sort of feel. And it was funny, we were down by the river and the dog kept jumping in the water and swimming. And I'm like, why is the dog having all the fun? I'm going in there. And you know, you go in and you're like, that's cold. But it's like really when you start focusing on, well, whatever you focus on, you get. But when I really am focusing on live it, you take your opportunities when you have it. So I have really enjoyed being able to go on the hikes and getting more outdoor stuff in. speaker-0: cool. Well, that's good. That's good to hear. That's kind of an off subject the way to start. But let's get into kind of the our repetitive things we do. And I hate to say they're repetitive, but they're important to repeat because even I am reminded of each time we hear this and we hear it a number of times a week. But again, when we share these things, we're not trying to overwhelm you or put you in a situation where you kind of hear the same thing. But a lot of times things don't click unless we hear them two, three, four, five times is the truth. So So anyway, we're gonna start off the show and just go into what we call the problem. And and and we're gonna maybe move a little slower through the wheel, which we've shared with you guys many times. But a lot of times we rapid fire to talk about these things, but we're gonna just talk about them just a little bit slower. And so here we go. let's take a look at the problem, Kathy. speaker-1: You know, just like our health is layers, learning is layers too. And I was in the weight loss industry for over a decade and learning different things and putting pieces together. So I don't ever want to apologize for being repetitive because I needed it over and over and over to connect the dots in a way to where I understand it now. And I'm sure as I continue to repeat it and teach it and learn it, there's more and more dots that will connect for me. And so back to the wheel. we've got a great big problem. And I I really feel like the great big problem is 93% of the population is dealing with this. That means we're operating at 7%. And I keep saying, what could happen if we could get that percentage up? So my goal in my heart is to be able to help the people in my area, my my world, so to speak, if we can bump them up. To get them into the 7%, and we can make the 7%, the 10%, the 20%, the 30%, the 50%, what impact is that gonna have on our, the next generations? And that's the power that we have right now, is the power of choice. And so when we look at the great big problem, we have been marketed into I would say the health of a of our country has been so damaged by our standard American diet, our conveniences, our processed foods, the the big pharma, you know, they own the food company. So all the marketing that we've been given to, we've they've created this addiction for us. And then as you see on the wheel, we go from, you know, the obesity to type two diabetes to Alzheimer's, neuropathy, psoriasis, PCOS, erectile dysfunction, stroke, heart disease. All of these things, they give them a different name and they break us into body parts, and then they give you a specialist. And that specialist knows just about your body part. That particular one, they know what pill to give you to manage the symptoms. They're only telling you they're managing them. They they don't know, they don't tell people that have type 2 diabetes, hey, this is reversible with lifestyle. They just say this is how we're going to manage it. And so With all the different names they're giving it, I guess it excites me to know that there's one core root, insulin resistance. You'll see that in the middle. That insulin resistance is the core. So if we take away all of the other names that they're calling it and we just say insulin resistance, then let's focus on understanding what insulin resistance is. So I always just heard the word insulin resistance. I thought, that's for diabetics. I'm not diabetic. I don't need to worry about it. Well, what I didn't realize, I wasn't diabetic yet, but following the standard American diet and all of the information that we've been given from the food pyramid, which we now know is totally upside down, our foods have been modified, the grains have been modified, what we're calling healthy is been skewed. So coming back to the basics of that, what is insulin? What is it doing for me? So Insulin, I like to say, is the spine hormone. It's the number one hormone of the body. Its job is to get the energy to all the cells in your body so everybody's operating well. If you're dealing with Alzheimer's, your cells aren't getting the proper energy. If you're dealing with neuropathy, your cells aren't getting all the energy. PCOS, erectile dysfunction, all of those things are because the cells aren't getting proper energy, which doesn't mean insulin's not working its little brains out, doing its best. Insulin resistance is when the cells go, okay, we're full, we can't take any more. If we take any more, you're gonna blow up. So if you recognize your body's always trying to keep you alive. So those cells close down. But when that happens, now the pancreas is like, okay, I'm making all this insulin. Insulin, you got to do something with it. Insulin's in a panic. So now it's putting it in your liver. storing that in your liver. That's where fatty liver comes from. It's storing it, you know, in your joints, joint pain. It's storing it wherever it can. You're you're getting more storage units. So if you think about the gas in the car, when you keep clicking it, you know, it clicks and it shuts off and it tells you right on there, do not overfill. We need one of those overfill a tattoo on our hand. Do not overfill. speaker-0: That's a good yeah. Maybe that's a tattoo I'll get. Yeah. There you go. speaker-1: But when that gas overflows, it becomes inflammatory, right? We're very it you same thing in your body. Your body becomes inflamed in areas. now we got to create more storage units. You're so you're you're in this damage storage mode when insulin is high. So if we can focus on that insulin and get that balanced out again, and we do that with our diets. So every time we eat. Particularly if you're eating high carbohydrate and that's what's most available to most Americans. We've been taught that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And Mr. Kellogg said that. He had some cereal to sell. So if you start your day with cereal, and you might not do be doing the sugar cereal, but you're still doing cereal or oatmeal, all of those things we think are healthy, and actually they're spiking that blood sugar. because it it converts it to glucose. So it's just seeing lots of a glucose rush and then insulin has to come in there and go, okay, what are we gonna do with all this energy? How am I gonna get it to the cells? When those cells are resistant, again, we're in trouble. And a lot of these other issues start popping up out of that insulin resistance. Right. speaker-0: Well, then you have orange juice or you you slip out to get a fifteen hundred calorie sugary Starbucks, come back and have your breakfast 'cause you gotta have your Starbucks with your breakfast or whatever, you know, those kind of things. And those are marketing and training things, obviously. speaker-1: But they're also habit and addiction. So when you get that dopamine, when you get that sugar rush, you also get the dopamine rush that poo. And then we have the drop. So now we're we're low, we're drop with a lethargic, and then we like, ooh, we need to go get another one. And when you can stabilize your blood sugar, you can stabilize the cravings, which is a beautiful thing. We stabilize the cravings, we get the insulin low. When insulin is low, fat can go. When insulin is low, your body can heal itself in. inflammation comes down. And that's why we add the intermittent fasting with the protocol is because you're either feasting or fasting. It's not that we're not eating. It just depends on what you're eating. We're designed to be metabolically flexible. So I can, my body can burn the energy that I bring into my system. But also when I'm sleeping, I'm not starving to death because my body is burning what I've put in the pantry, what I've stored up. So when we can do that intermittent fasting and we can start eating more storage up than what we're putting into it, that's where we get that the weight loss. speaker-0: Yeah, I I I've been following a there's a movie coming out, RFK is it RFK? Yeah is putting out. It's called the Maha. speaker-1: Yeah, make America healthy. speaker-0: Make America Healthy Again movie. And I've seen about four or five clips from it. And one in one of the clips, they're interviewing a doctor. when you were in college, were you trained about nutrition? No. Were you trained about exercise? No. Were you trained about, you know, and the simplicity of what you're sharing in terms of the problem is, you know, and going back to how much fuel you're putting in and how the body has to handle that. If we're overeating, you know, you you've shown a number of times on certain meals that when you eat them, this is how much sugar. You just ate right, and it's what 20-30 tables teaspoons of sugar in just one meal, and none of us would sit down and eat 20 and 30 teaspoons of sugar just by right. You know, we wouldn't do it. We'd look at it and be grossed out, most likely, right? But they've made everything so enjoyable, so pleasurable, and marketing, and you gotta have this, and you know, and they've done a great job of getting us off our base baseline of you know, kind of. understanding what we're putting into our mouth and how it affects our body. And I think people are awakening to that. This movie's a big part of that. But even that doctor, he he he'll he say he was honest. He goes, No, no training. No. speaker-1: The pendulum is swinging. And I'd have to say, like, this product that I company that I work for, Unicity, was actually brought out in the eighties. Rexol drug brought it out as a nutraceutical. It was studied through the Cleveland Clinic. They had this as the answer to because they saw the the diabetes all of a sudden. Yes. Okay. speaker-0: Tell you what a nutraceutical speaker-1: A nutraceutical is a natural product that has speaker-0: Clinical. speaker-1: clinical and medicinal benefits. Yeah. And there's the science behind it showing that yes, this actually works. You know, how you do the we have so many different things like, this is supposed to be good for you. Yeah, drink this tea and blah, blah, blah. Well, this has actually been a sty s you know s studied, has the science behind it. They know that it boosts your natural GLP one, which is another big reason. that I got into this business because being in the weight loss business, seeing people that are willing to do some very unhealthy things trying to get healthy, it it's heartbreaking because they don't know there's any other options. And honestly, I remember being in high school or college feeling out of control with my own Diet and you know, I'm exercising all the time, but I'm still bloated and gassy and miserable, and what's going on? And then you hear, hey, if you start smoking cigarettes, that feeds this mouth, you know, sort of thing. And so I remember buying a pack of cigarettes in total shame, you know, and and I'm smoking these cigarettes and I'm thinking, this is never gonna work for me. speaker-0: You know what's interesting is, you know, I I tr I try to when I get in conversations at the club i it and or anywhere with any almost mostly guys. I don't talk to gals much, is you know, I'm mostly hanging out with guys at the club or that kind of thing. But it's interesting when you tell them and this is something I had learned had to learn as well. I always believed that you work out harder to lose weight. You know what I mean? And when I learned it's n you don't lose weight working out, you lose weight eating what you put in. And working out is just a quality of life thing. I can walk high and go hiking. I can whatever I need to do. You know, it puts you in a situation to have a better life, but you don't lose weight working out. And at the club, I don't I can probably say it's a hundred percent of the time, so how you doing? So how's your workout going? Yeah, I'm here to lose weight. And then I'm telling you, they literally walk out and go to the snack bar and buy a thousand calorie drink in one of those little smoothies they sell. Yeah. And I'm just like it's totally our minds are all mixed up speaker-1: Then that's really by design. And when you say that we don't lose weight working out. Here's the truth of that. Muscle is your number one glucose user. So if you're have muscle, using muscle, yes. I always say listen to it. Go. You know, when you actually, and that's why a walk after a meal is one of the top ways to lower your blood sugar levels is because you're getting that glucose distributed into the muscles. It's not just sitting in your insulins having to figure out what to do with it. So muscle is very important and like you said for lifestyle just being able to move as well. But in terms of losing the weight, because we have so much messed up information, like at the club, they have these protein drinks and protein meals. But if you look at the carbohydrates, they're still jacking up the glucose in your system. you do an hour workout and you maybe burn 300 calories and then you go eat a 600 calorie snack. speaker-0: Yeah, I I can remember, you know, obviously the fat free craze is, you know, falling by the wise wayside. Now the all the marketing is protein, protein, coffee, protein, everything, right? Which is not bad in some ways if you're focusing on protein. But I remember the fat free free craze is and I never did look at the carbohydrates, but I'd I'd I'd buy a healthy choice meal, right? Yeah. And it would be, you know, 320 calories, Very low fat, vegetables, a little bit of meat, that kind of thing. And then you look at the carbohydrates and to the side, it's sixty five, forty six. Yeah. You know what I mean? When you're supposed to average around 35 to 40 a day, you know, I'm getting in one meal and doing that two or three times a day. that's that marketing thing. Healthy choice. See how the use of the words and and how deceiving it is. Fat-free. You know, so if I'm eating fat-free, I'll lose fat. That's not true. Your body's doesn't know what to do with that sugar. speaker-1: Even the American Heart Association is promoting horrible information that's horrible for your heart. So look at the Cheerios, heart healthy. Well, if you look at the carbohydrates, it's jacking that up. So again, your insulin is going high, which is creating those blood vessels, are inflamed. Now you've got high blood pressure. So the very very thing that they're marketing a lot of times is what's causing the Yeah. speaker-0: So why do you think that is? Why why do you think we're just simple people that read books and study and have tried to get into this subject matter? You're really on to it. I'm following your lead. But the truth of it is, is how comes we feel like we're right, you know, and and I'm we're right for ourselves. And we always say, You do you, I'll do me. For me, what the the things that I'm reading and studying really strike me as true on terms of how we eat and the the quantities of fat and Sugars and you know, all the things that we're trying to balance out has only made me healthier, stronger, feel better, no inflammation, no joint pain, skin tags gone. I had psoriasis from the my knees to the you know, essentially my halfway up my trunk of my body. I had psoriasis so bad, and all that was from my diet. And I I was taking medications for 14 years, told I was had this, that, and the other. They even diagnosed me wrong. So, how are they getting it so wrong? Is it because they can't admit A we gotta change that we're doing it wrong? Is it arrogance on that side? Is it just there's so much money involved, they can't stop? speaker-1: Yeah, well if you understand how the system works, and I think that's where most of us don't understand it by design. And I always say it's more of that principality when you think of scripturally, it says we wrestle not with flesh and blood. And I used to think, well, yes, I am, because they're an idiot. but it's a principality behind it. And really, when you start seeing the picture, it's so big, it's not one guy's bad idea. the enemy comes to steal. Kill and destroy. And they're doing it in this systematic way of people partnering with this principality, so to speak. So when the system is set up, you've got the food industries owned by the pharmaceutical some cu companies. You have people on the board of the pharmaceuticals coming over on the board and doing and then getting into the legislation on. what we're gonna allow in food and what we're gonna allow in food is based on faulty information, based on we have a lot of grain to sell, based on we have, you know, whatever. And then when the pharmaceuticals know, hey, you know what, if we do this, we cut the fat out, then we can put them on statins for their brain. And it's all about control. It really is a control piece and call me conspiratorial, whatever. But the more we study it, the more we see it clearly and very clearly. So if you're not being an advocate for yourself and you're not learning some things for yourself, then you're just gonna follow the herd and you're gonna get the same results that everybody else is getting. speaker-0: Yeah, well it's fascinating because I always tell you this, I always say, doctors have a lot of power. I know for a fact if I actually had something going on in me and I had to go, you know, have some tests done and they looked at me and said, Hey, yeah, you you're dealing with this, that, or the other, they have power. Even if I wanted to choose a different way for my own treatment, it would be very hard to go against them. You know what I mean? They even when you do these podcasts, I mentioned this this morning. This is an example I just rethought of is like when you even in our world When we're watching stuff about insulin resistance, other doctors that we follow, other guidance we're getting on our own health, you know, they will say up front, hey, this is not medical advice, consult your physician. And then and then I know for a fact that specific person is has a lot of doubts about what physicians and doctors are saying. Right. So they have a lot of power, even over this alternative that people are trying to find for their own health. speaker-1: Right. But that's the legislation that says, because they're trying to protect us from us. So we have to say certain things. We can't make claims. We can't say this is gonna do this or this is gonna do that. But it's all really about protecting the medical field. Right. And you know, when I have people will tell me, Well, my doctor says, and I'm like, Okay, well, your doctor says you're fine, but you're telling me you feel horrible. Your doctor's not living in your body. They have about 15 minutes to spend with you to make a diagnosis, put that in the system, and spit out a pill. Period. Very few doctors are able to go, if they're within a system, are able to do anything else, even if they knew better. The other ones, you know, years ago, the doctor would say, Well, you're having that problem. Well, let's figure out why that problem is there. And they would problem solve. And had a lot of other natural remedies that they would use and recommend. But we've just gotten to this big financial I always call it the wheel of torture or the wheel of fortune. And once that wheel gets spinning, it's really hard to get off because Fear is also very strongly driven, as well as the things we think on. You know, the Bible says think on these things, things that are good, right, pure, and holy. And all the marketing that we get is thinking on these diseases. This could happen to you. You know, so we're so afraid of getting this disease, then we're numb to even what we're doing to propagate it. So speaker-0: And and I think I believe that there there should be a change in the way we're doing marketing on television in the sense of we make jokes about we're gonna watch a program, say it's gonna be an hour long and there'll be three commercial breaks. We'll we'll make a joke in our own home and kind of do an overunder how many pharmaceutical ads will there'll be in these breaks over an hour period. And I always say six to seven. You know, we'll what kind of guess? And we're not wrong. Out of three commercials on every break, two are probably on for pharmaceuticals. And that needs to change because that like you said, focusing on the disease speaker-1: But the other principality behind that is that the pharmaceuticals own the media. So the media only can say what they're allowed to say. And so it's all again another whole nother spinny cycle. And they know that if we tell you something enough times, you're gonna believe it. So if you see this same ad over and over and over, and that's why it's so important to take every thought captive. What are the voices you're letting in your head? That's what probably led me to. My Sunday silence. Woo! Turn it off because you're scrolling through and have millions of images. Even if I'm not reading stuff, it's still filling and filtering your head. Back to going out to nature. It's like, everything you see is in order, and there's something very valuable about that. speaker-0: I th as a man thinketh, so he is, the Bible says. Right. That's another thinking thing. And he also says we have a sound mind if we have related. So I I t I like those promises. But as a man thinketh, so he is. you know, in the way you think about your health, like you used an example one time and you just talked about if a tree your tree in your house on your fell on your house and there was a limb laying down, you wouldn't even hesitate to spend whatever it took to get the limb. Removed and the house repaired. Yeah. But we don't even think about that way for our own bodies. We'll we'll make f up 50 excuses or ask 60 questions on why, you know, this is too expensive. You've used the example, share the example maybe about you know the difference between having your teeth fixed and and and this protocol lifestyle change, you know, of a life of eating sugar essentially from marketing, and you know, just give that example. speaker-1: few year years ago I went to the dentist and he goes, you know, your teeth are rubbing and it's gonna you're gonna be like an elk where you're gonna starve to death as an adult because your teeth are rubbing in a bad way. And so the solution was the Invisalign. Okay, how much is that gonna cost? Well, it's gonna cost you six thousand dollars and it's gonna be a two-year process of wearing these things for 10 hours a day. And I'm like, wow, that's kind of a pretty big commitment, but Put the money down, get my little trays, and I was committed. I'm wearing those little trays for, you know, 10 to 12 hours a day or whatever I had to do them for. And when you think about what I broke that down because that's just for my teeth. And then I sell come in and I say, Hey, we got this amazing product and it's gonna help you lose weight. It's gonna help you get your Cholesterol leveled out, it's gonna help your blood sugars come down, it's gonna give you great energy, it's gonna clear up your skin issues. It could, you know, all the potential, and they're like, that's expensive. Well, it's $159 a month, which if I did the whole $6,000, divided that out by months, that's 37 months or over three years to do your whole body. And so a lot of our perceptions are really off on what we're investing in. You know, I have a friend that's paying $1,300 a month for for health insurance. So then of course she has a hard time spending the money, you know, on the things it takes to take care of herself. But I'm of the mindset if we can invest in our wellness, then we can avoid the illness. speaker-0: Right. it it's it's fascinating to think about the thought processes that people produce to either excuse themselves out of you know, deciding to take care of themselves or whatever, but those excuses are comes from a belief about themselves and a way they think about themselves, right? they don't understand that say you know, this protocol costs a hundred and fifty nine dollars a month and it's you know, you're about five dollars a day. and you are intermittent fasting, so you're sh you're basically losing meal every day which is more than five dollars a day so it's almost a wash financially but then you know I have I have a a buddy of mine who will rave about certain donut shops and certain fast foods that he gets every day and this and that and he's totally dealing with cancer totally dealing with kidney disease totally dealing with and they can't make that connection you know for what for whatever reason with what they're eating and what they're doing and the thinking there is really hard for me to understand. They can't make the connection. speaker-1: But even that even that disconnection has been programmed in us because we've been programmed to think everything is genetic. I got it because of grandma. I got it because of such and such. And so we're always kind of walking around hoping we don't catch something and we don't realize we're consuming something. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and we have a lot more power with our fork than we think we do. And so, yeah. And just even the things that we consider hard. Like I would consider hard sitting in the doctor's office all the time, sitting on phone, waiting to get a doctor's appointment. I think mi opening up three simple packets, shaking it up and enjoying a great drink, that to me is not hard. speaker-0: And with the idea of show what you got in front of you. Yeah. Show speaker-1: So this is this is five pounds of fat. And I'll have people go, I just lost five pounds, or we've all said, I've d I've just gained five pounds. That's not a big deal. Five just five pounds. However, for every pound of weight that you lose, you're taking off five to seven pounds of of pressure off your joints. So five pounds times five, you're talking about 25 pounds of pressure off your joints. So that's just also giving your joints a break. Losing 5% of your body fat lowers your risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancers. So the weight is a big deal. we look at this, we go, it's just five pounds. Well, I wouldn't want it back. And so, and the the unrealistic piece of people will get started on this, and it is a natural, it's a nutraceutical. Yes, some people get some really large numbers and a lot of times that's based on how much inflammation and things they have going on. But there's other people that, hey, they don't lose weight right away. I mean, like for the first month, two months, and then it's like your body's healing whatever's broken on inside, and then then it starts fixing that in that order. So for me to give somebody a guarantee, this is gonna do what you want it to do, I can't do that. Everybody's bodies are different. But the amazing thing about it is this company knows that if you give it a good adult try for 90 days, you're gonna see some measurable results. And they believe in that so much that if you don't, call them. They'll give your money back. speaker-0: Yeah. And and you're you again, we've talked about we use the term blind spots. People have blind spots where they can't even hear themselves talk. Like you know, I do a lot of research. I know my health, as they drink a coke, you know, right. And you're just looking at them, you're like, that's like seventeen teaspoons of sugar, and they do a lot of research. You know, you hear those kind of things. And those those are hedges. People are hedging because they want to know they made good decisions. I do the same thing. I know I do, you know. But the thing of it is those blind spots, one of the biggest blind spots I think we have is that you just kind of mentioned it, the two, three-month process to get to that 90 days to see results. You know, to lose five pounds like you just showed, I always hate that thing you showed. I always hate seeing that thing because I just can't even believe that I had that in me at one point. You know, five pounds on that. But one of the biggest blind spots I think we have is it's an impatience. You know, I always talk about developing the skill of waiting, the ability to, you know, go the distance in terms of finish. and completing something and and we just aren't trained in that. We want instant results. And I really believe that's one of our most powerful blind spots is that we're with this protocol, you're changing Your food choices, you're starting to read labels, you're starting to realize, holy smokes, there's a ton of sugar everywhere I go. Yeah. And I've got to kinda just evaluate how I'm doing that. intermittent fasting, a change in my lifestyle, change in my sleep, change right, you're changing the way you're doing things. And then you know, at the end there, we're changing the way we think and our thoughts, the way we think about ourselves. Am I worth it? Do I have value? Does you know, do you know what I mean? There's million things going on in us in terms of self-worth and And you know, we've talked about the book The Mountain Is You and where the premise of that book is self-sabotage as a coping mechanism. We cope better by sabotaging the very things we say we want. It's a crazy book. speaker-1: It's that familiarity. You we know what we're you know, what what's familiar is what we want. Change can be hard. speaker-0: Yeah, so blind spots, and I think that's the biggest one is the impatience part. Is like I've been doing this for a week and I I'm only down four pounds. You know, we've heard those kind of things, right? I'm like, four pounds in a week is pretty dang good. Yeah. When you you know, and so it's very fascinating those blind spots, you know, and that goes back to the thinking as well. speaker-1: Also, I guess I want to follow up with you know, the GLP ones that are coming out. They find that 40% of the weight that's being lost is muscle mass. So that's a big deal. If you're not being have have a physician that's training you and helping you with get enough protein, be using your muscles to per preserve that, they're losing that. The top reasons that people go to the emergency room are diarrhea and heart palpitations. Both are side effects from the Ozempic and the Metformin, the two top r top drugs that people are taking in the US. And so, but yet we're willing to tolerate those things. Like the doctor said, well just keep going. It'll get better. And they're like, well, yeah, just yeah. I mean, it's just crazy to me what we'll tolerate. And when we have a a natural product, and if this natural product is is upsetting your stomach, then you've got to Probably it's telling you there's a big problem and it's doing something. Because if something natural is causing you to, you know, gassy, bloaty, burping, it's working. That's what I always say. If you can feel it's do it, it's doing something. It's like Drano in a plugged thing, sink. If you put Draeno down there, you would expect it to bubble, gurgle, and stink because it's working. And that's where a lot of times we're just not willing to let it work. But I also feel like we're holding on to our own addictions. There is that self-sabotage because subconsciously it you know it's gonna require you giving something up. And it feels overwhelming. So we sabotage it, so we don't have it give anything up. And I would say from my personal experience, the things I've given up, it's been a slow, gradual, you know, thing. And you get this aha of like, I'm not giving up anything. I'm gaining so much more. I'm not interested in that anymore. But it's hard mindset and you know, we are in an addictive mode. speaker-0: We are and and that addictive mode is not only physical. Like I I really believe the body does crave things, obviously it does. And you know, but I can think of my dad who would on Monday think about the day old sale coming up at Entomints Bakery on Thursday. He's he's psychologically thinking about getting a really good deal on a bunch of cakes, cupcakes, pies, all that stuff is gonna be on really markdown. Yep. And he's a week ahead of time planning that. You know, speaker-1: Well, when I was in college, the hostess fruit pies, that was the thing. But what I would find I would do is I would get this okay, you'd eat one, it's like, that was amazing. and you can't stop because the dopamine hits that leptin and the l and the sugar does that. And that leptin is what tells you you're full. So now you're not full. All I can think about is those stupid fruit pies in the freezer. You know, and I would go actually do I would go work out abusively, like Almost as a okay, you fat hog, go run. You know what I mean? Or there would be times like, okay, you fat hog, you need to go eat the whole thing, get it out of the room. And it was just this really sick mindset of thinking about food. And I didn't understand. speaker-0: Almost punishing yourself. speaker-1: Yeah. It was it was a chemistry that was happening. So I thought I was broken. I had no self-control. So you're beating yourself up when really it's this physiology. Your blood sugar is high and when it crashes, you want more. It is a real loud voice. And that's what I've loved about this is the food noise is gone. I know what to do. And it's just so much easier to do it when you're not hearing woo, there's you know, this and this over here and this and this over there and look at that sign and the pizza and all the marketing that we're marketed to to constantly keep us in this place of either eating. If we're not eating, we're thinking about eating, just like you're saying with your dad. He if he didn't have it, he was thinking about when he was going to get it. And that's addiction. That's an addiction. We can point our fingers at every alcoholic, but it's no different. speaker-0: Okay. Well as as we kinda get ready to wrap up. We we don't want to go always go too far with these things and respect everyone's time as we talk about these subjects, but why don't you go over the solution in terms of the products and and and how they work and and and how it looks to be operating within you know the protocol because it really is super simple and it and and your box there says it does it does make you feel great. So speaker-1: Yeah, I always say it's the unicity simplicity. And when I found this, I just felt like I could help more people outside of the office. When I saw that spinning wheel and all the different things that we're dealing with, I want people to at least know there's another option. And I also want you to know that if you use my referral link, you're gonna get like $76 off for life and free shipping. I also offer extra support of just coaching in terms of whatever you need. I can help you with menus, I can help you with web. Whatever you need help, be that accountability person, whatever, but I'm there to support you. But the company itself, if you can see, I don't know if you can see the lid, okay, of the box, it's got an app on there. And this app is a super great tool to keep you accountable and get those habits into place. There's a body scan on there. You can do the body scan to keep track of your weight and your percentage of body fat, recipes, menus. It's really All inclusive. And you're just simply going to drink a couple of these teas. It's a natural herbal tea, herba mate, but the way they process it is 375 times stronger. so that that chlorogenic acid is actually softening those resistant cells that you have in your body so insulin can do its job. So I'm drinking two of these a day, and then the balance. The balance is the fiber, and this is seven to nine. grams of or seven to nine different fibers, soluble and insoluble, it's actually healing and feeding the gut. So it's not just pushing things through, but it's actually healing. It's keeping your blood sugars lower, keeping them level. And that's the whole idea. This is if we get your blood sugars level, your body then is in healing mode, fat can go, your body can start doing what it needs to do to heal. These simple little packets, shake it. It's delicious. It tastes amazing. You can have it hot or cold. you should already be drinking fluids. and if you're replacing the fluids, you're already drinking. I always say this is cost neutral, honestly. And with a 90-day money-back guarantee, if it doesn't work for you, like I don't know why anybody, everybody wouldn't at least try it and see what it would do for them. speaker-0: Yeah, we can't we can't overemphasize the idea of a good adult try. You know, we you we really encourage you to, you know, the ninety days is there. If you're not in ninety days not feeling like that's the case, the company wouldn't even think twice. They're great about it, you know. So it's not an issue that way. But we really encourage you to think about what you're thinking. Think about start reading labels, start check looking at your lifestyle. Do you after a meal, can you go for a little walk? You know, just simple changes and all of a sudden you're gonna go, wow, this is you know, it really does make a difference. speaker-1: Well, we know that what you think on is what you get. Think on these things. And that's why when you can think about and get some of these habits in place and thinking health instead of fearing illness, those are powerful because just fearing illness opens the door for illness to come in. And I think we're marketed for that fear and we create some of our very own things. And we can create good health as well by focusing on good health, focusing on good habits, and just learning and growing in a in a positive way. speaker-0: Yep.
