  Today I wanna have a little fun and share my first ghost story.

  So this is my first experience of an encounter with a spirit that
• 0:24
  I'm very consciously aware of.
• 0:27
  Now, I sit here today as a channeler and an energetic healer.
• 0:32
  I'm very connected to my intuition and I have the skillset to
• 0:36
  communicate with lost souls.
• 0:39
  But that always wasn't the case.
• 0:41
  This is not something that I experienced at a very young age,
• 0:46
  or I knew that was something that was a part of me when I was young
• 0:50
  absolutely not.
• 0:51
  This is really a skillset that I grew into after having an
• 0:57
  emotional breakdown in 2017.

  And that experience sparked a personal healing and transformation journey that
• 1:07
  led me to developing my skillset as a channeler and an energetic healer.

  'cause that really is my story as I have grown into the person that I am today.

  I wanna just give you a little bit of insight into my world, and I said, this
• 1:31
  is gonna be a ghost story, but you might have recognized that I say I have the
• 1:37
  ability to communicate with lost souls.
• 1:41
  So that is the term that I use and others in my industry use as well, when we're
• 1:48
  referring to ghosts, I don't say ghosts.
• 1:51
  That's not what I say.
• 1:53
  I say lost souls because these souls are not ones that have fully
• 1:58
  crossed over into the astral realm.
• 2:01
  They are stuck.
• 2:03
  They are lost.
• 2:05
  They're kind of hanging around and that gives them a very distinct
• 2:09
  energy signature that can be felt.
• 2:13
  And so then that's how they can be detected and they can feel different from
• 2:18
  a spirit guide or another supportive soul.
• 2:21
  They just have a very distinct energetic signature and that
• 2:27
  energy can also impact us.
• 2:31
  So some of the work that I do with others is helping to identify if there maybe
• 2:37
  is a lost soul within their presence or maybe in their property, and then
• 2:42
  helping to cross that lost soul over.
• 2:46
  So essentially clearing that energy from them or their surroundings.
• 2:52
  And I wanna just put your mind at ease because if I was on the other
• 2:57
  side of this podcast 15 years ago, my mind would be freaking out and
• 3:03
  being like, oh my goodness, is there lost souls attached to me?
• 3:06
  Are they in my home?
• 3:07
  And just go on a bit of, a bit of a spin and so I just wanna take the time
• 3:12
  to acknowledge that lost souls aren't something that I come across often.
• 3:20
  It's not like every client that I work with, I am needing to clear a lost
• 3:25
  soul from them or their environment.
• 3:27
  Absolutely not.
• 3:28
  That's not necessarily the case.
• 3:30
  And when I do work with people and we do crossing over of lost souls, they
• 3:37
  are often coming to me because they are aware to some degree that there is
• 3:42
  an external energy that is affecting them or they're home and so they're
• 3:50
  kind of ready to step into that work and to have those conversations.
• 3:54
  Not saying that it doesn't come out of the blue with a client, but if you are
• 3:59
  a part of my world or have heard me talk or listened to some of my other
• 4:04
  podcasts, you'll know that I truly believe that we only get what we're ready for.
• 4:10
  So I am checking to see if some of that work or that conversation is something
• 4:17
  that you can support, that your psyche can handle before we maybe dive into that.
• 4:22
  Sometimes I'm just doing a clearing for you and that's maybe just
• 4:27
  doesn't need to be part of the conversation at that moment in time.
• 4:30
  It doesn't mean that it doesn't become part of the conversation maybe a
• 4:33
  few weeks or a month down the road.
• 4:36
  Um, it just absolutely, maybe just doesn't serve right at that present moment.
• 4:42
  So let's dive into my story.
• 4:46
  So this story begins with a house that my now husband purchased back
• 4:55
  when I was still a student in college.
• 4:58
  So he lived in that space and I would come visit on the weekends.
• 5:02
  One day in the afternoon, my husband was away working and I
• 5:08
  was working on some homework.
• 5:09
  So I was sitting at the kitchen table and I can remember feeling like there
• 5:14
  was somebody standing behind me.
• 5:17
  Someone was watching me almost like they were looking over my shoulder.
• 5:21
  I didn't think a whole lot about it.
• 5:24
  You just you just shake it off, refocus, and go back to your work.
• 5:28
  Fast forward to another weekend where I was home visiting my husband and we
• 5:35
  had chose to go to a hockey game that night, I think he was even coaching,
• 5:39
  so he needed to be at the hockey arena early to support the team, and I stayed
• 5:43
  back, to have a shower and get ready and would come to the hockey arena later.
• 5:48
  So I was downstairs having a shower, and then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, just
• 5:53
  bang, bang, bang on the bathroom door.
• 5:59
  I called out.
• 6:00
  No answer.
• 6:01
  I was spooked, so I hurried up, finished my shower.
• 6:05
  I got out and I started to just kind of search the house, hoping to find that
• 6:10
  there was just somebody who was maybe playing a prank on me, but I found no one.
• 6:18
  I was a little shaken.
• 6:20
  So I quickly, tried to blow dry my hair, and even as I was blow drying
• 6:24
  my hair, I still had this feeling that someone was like very close
• 6:28
  to me over my shoulder watching me.
• 6:31
  I quickly finished up, got ready, went over to the arena, and I can remember just
• 6:35
  coming into contact with some family and I just asked, Hey did you happen to stop
• 6:39
  at the house before you come to the game?
• 6:43
  And it was no.
• 6:44
  And I went through the whole list of family members?
• 6:46
  Nope.
• 6:47
  No one stopped.
• 6:50
  Okay.
• 6:52
  And I can remember, like when I told my husband this story, he didn't
• 6:57
  really have a lot of reaction.
• 6:59
  Just kind of like brushed it off.
• 7:02
  But then fast forward a few weekends later, we were in the bathroom
• 7:07
  downstairs, and it happened again, bang, bang, bang on the bathroom door.
• 7:14
  I looked at my husband like we called out and nothing, and I could
• 7:18
  just remember the look on his face.
• 7:21
  And it was kind of like, see, I told you I didn't make it up.
• 7:26
  This actually happened.
• 7:27
  It.
• 7:28
  I can remember moving through the house again, just like checking
• 7:32
  that there was no one there like this actually legitimately happened
• 7:36
  Eventually the energy in the house changed.
• 7:40
  No more feeling like someone was looking over my shoulder and watching me.
• 7:46
  No more weird noises.
• 7:48
  Definitely no more bangs on the bathroom door.
• 7:52
  So you might be asking Lynette, what changed?
• 7:55
  The gentleman that my husband had bought the house from had passed and
• 8:01
  in conversations with family members, I learned that our property had history.
• 8:07
  many years prior to us having ownership, the gentleman's wife
• 8:11
  had died by suicide on the property
• 8:14
  so over the years, this story has kind of come up a few times, and
• 8:19
  as I have deepened my channeling skillset, I've gotten a little
• 8:24
  curious and I've leaned in.
• 8:27
  Communicating with the soul.
• 8:29
  I get the message that she couldn't leave.
• 8:32
  She kind of didn't want to leave and not going when she was called, left
• 8:37
  her stuck, and a little disoriented.
• 8:40
  And when her husband had passed, he called her home, gave her direction and pull.
• 8:47
  So that was my first very conscious experience with a ghost.
• 8:53
  And since stepping into this role as a channeler and energetic healer, there
• 8:58
  has been various different experiences with lost souls, and it still continues
• 9:05
  to be the work that I do today.
• 9:07
  So there you have it.

  My story of my first conscious experience with a ghost, or as I say, as a channeler,
• 9:15
  an energetic healer, a lost soul.
• 9:18
  I do find these stories, absolutely curious.
• 9:23
  Even before I was ever a channeler, an energetic healer, I loved hearing these
• 9:28
  stories, even though they freaked me out, I still absolutely loved hearing them.
• 9:33
  And so I hope there is a little bit of enjoyment and curiosity
• 9:39
