- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing
- 0:12genuine. Issues.
- 0:13Brought to you by The Hypnotherapist, demanded by
- 0:16celebrities CE OS and even royalty Adam Cox, these
- 0:21recordings took place live from Evans Clinic in London's world
- 0:24famous Harley Street. So get yourself comfortable and
- 0:31enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:38Hi, it's. Adam here.
- 0:40Now, if you're listening to this hypnosis session, it might be
- 0:43that you're either currently or recently experiencing a lot of
- 0:48really intense anxiety. And for many people, anxiety can
- 0:52be linked to a future event that hasn't happened yet.
- 0:55But for many people, it's just this ongoing sense of dread or
- 0:59feeling unsettled quite often in the lower chest or the gut just
- 1:04feels like turmoil. And it can affect sleeping, it
- 1:07can affect energy levels it. Can make.
- 1:09People aggravated so intense anxiety is not useful at all.
- 1:14It's often linked to hyper vigilance and overactive nervous
- 1:17system that is currently almost constantly on guard or being
- 1:22vigilant to see what's going to happen next.
- 1:25Now, the client that I was working with really felt that
- 1:27way. When they were in situations the
- 1:30other people were around, they'd get very fidgety and it's
- 1:33because their body was producing a lot of cortisol and a lot of
- 1:36adrenaline in a place where they couldn't really move that much.
- 1:40Normally, movement is how you dissipate excess adrenaline and
- 1:45cortisol, and they couldn't do that because they would be in
- 1:48the audience watching someone they cared about perform.
- 1:52Now. This is a rapid anxiety
- 1:55reduction. It's based on 2.
- 1:57Key things. One, accessing a resource state
- 2:00and secondly, using deep diaphragmatic breathing.
- 2:03Diaphragmatic breathing is just brewing from low down in your
- 2:07belly rather than up in your chest.
- 2:09Most people, when they're anxious, they breathe up here in
- 2:11the chest. And.
- 2:12When people are feeling really relaxed.
- 2:14And and. Kind of very comfortable and
- 2:16calm in the situation. They tend to breathe down there
- 2:20in the belly, so it uses those two things and this client felt
- 2:24very relaxed in nature around water.
- 2:28And streams. And lakes and that kind of
- 2:30stuff. And we take that feeling and
- 2:33apply it to a situation that should feel very anxious.
- 2:36So being in the audience watching someone perform.
- 2:39And it has this idea of the long breaths.
- 2:42Now, this is rapid anxiety relief.
- 2:44So the actual session itself is about 10 minutes because in the
- 2:48actual client session, we did all this stuff in real time.
- 2:52But I wanted to give a recording for them so that they could just
- 2:55listen and then fire off all of these techniques in just 10
- 3:00minutes to, you know, immediately and rapidly reduce
- 3:03their anxiety levels. So I would encourage you to
- 3:06think of a context that you feel very relaxed in and start
- 3:11thinking of those kind of places at the beginning of the session
- 3:14and start to bring in the circumstances that you normally
- 3:16feel anxious. So if you feel anxious public
- 3:20speaking, but you feel really relaxed on a beach, imagine
- 3:22yourself in a beach and then your public speaking on the
- 3:25beach. We're fusing two different
- 3:28contexts together. And it's based on
- 3:30neuropsychology. So there's a great saying which
- 3:34is neurons or neural pathways that fire together, wire
- 3:38together. So we want to link a resource
- 3:40state with a context that currently feels anxious so that
- 3:44the resource state is then linked to the context that
- 3:49currently feel anxious in. So there's a bit going on here,
- 3:52but at its core, it's just 10 minutes to help relax your
- 3:55nervous system. And there will be a subscriber
- 3:58only version of this so you don't have to listen to my
- 4:00preamble and the intros and the outros and you just get the 10
- 4:06minutes of rapid anxiety relief. So feel free to get the free
- 4:10version. And just.
- 4:11Skip to this part, but if you do want the subscriber only
- 4:15versions, I think I've got about 130 episodes now where it's just
- 4:20the hypnosis. So if you'd rather not hear me
- 4:22talk beforehand, look for the link.
- 4:25And it works out in pounds. I think it's £5 a month.
- 4:29That's the equivalent of about 30 pence a day or something like
- 4:32that, and about $0.35 a day if you're in the US.
- 4:36So not a lot for you to be able to get the kind of hypnosis
- 4:40sessions that the original client spent hundreds of dollars
- 4:42on and you get it completely free and you get hundreds of
- 4:46different hypnosis versions. So if that's of interest, check
- 4:49out the description to find the subscriber link.
- 4:52Like I say, it's about £5 a month.
- 4:55It's about $6 a month, not very much.
- 4:58And you can get access to over 100 hypnosis sessions without
- 5:02any intro outro or explanation or ads at all, just the
- 5:06hypnosis. So if that's of interest, check
- 5:08that out. For now though, find a quiet,
- 5:10comfortable place where you you might be distracted or
- 5:12disturbed. Relax and enjoy the session.
- 5:36Take a deep breath in, and as you breathe in, breathe in that
- 5:45feeling of calm tranquility. And as you exhale, just allow
- 5:54that outward breath to continue longer than it normally would.
- 6:04Place one hand there on your belly, and as you breathe in
- 6:10that feeling of relaxation, feel the hand rise.
- 6:17And as you exhale, feel that you're releasing any tension,
- 6:24any stress, any worries, and I'd like you to imagine them leaving
- 6:32your body in your outward breath.
- 6:38Most of the time, tension is just echoes.
- 6:44And as you release that tension, your body can recalibrate.
- 6:51Eyelids feeling heavier, breathing in deeper and longer,
- 6:59and as you exhale, feel a wonderful sense of release.
- 7:09The deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you feel, and the more
- 7:14relaxed you feel, the deeper you breathe.
- 7:20And as your body relaxes, your imagination awakens, and I
- 7:28wonder if you could imagine a beautiful, picturesque forest
- 7:37with a winding stream, something that looks straight from an old
- 7:48book. And I want you to imagine that
- 7:52stream is filled with rocks, so it trickles as those currents.
- 8:00Tiny whirlpools. And imagine the forest the
- 8:07forest happens to be on a sunny day, but the canopy means that
- 8:14only beams of light can breakthrough the canopy.
- 8:21Imagine there's a breeze on your skin, the smell of tree bark,
- 8:30perhaps leaves. Maybe it's musty, maybe it's
- 8:35fresh, and some of the. Leaves.
- 8:39Have ascent and I want you to connect without feeling a
- 8:47feeling that there's nothing you need to do.
- 8:52Being there is enough to just take it all in.
- 9:01That's it. And I want you to imagine there,
- 9:09there by the stream, under the shadow, with those leaves of the
- 9:17trees. Imagine a plastic or perhaps
- 9:26folding chair, knowing that it won't be comfortable and it
- 9:32doesn't need to be. And just imagine sitting on that
- 9:37chair and just allow your body to feel that the chair is taking
- 9:48your weight, distributing it, and transferring it straight to
- 9:53the floor. So it doesn't need to be
- 9:58comfortable to be useful. And then I want you to use the
- 10:07power of your imagination to imagine that you're there in the
- 10:12forest by the stream. And I'd like you to imagine one
- 10:20specific situation from your past where you felt anxious, and
- 10:25recreate that there in the forest, keeping the feeling of
- 10:32calm tranquility while imagining what it would be like to be in
- 10:39that place where in the past you felt stressed, anxious, or
- 10:45fidgety. And notice that when you're
- 10:50primed for relaxation, you get to feel relaxed even by
- 10:59imagining being in a different situation.
- 11:04And it doesn't matter if it's a waiting room or the audience of
- 11:08a performance, an important appointment or something else.
- 11:16All that matters is is that your brain knows how to feel calm,
- 11:23relaxed and present and there is nothing you need to do.
- 11:33And each time you listen to this, you will imagine a
- 11:37different situation where in the past the anxiety was real, that
- 11:43you are training your brain to feel relaxed in exactly the same
- 11:48situation. And don't be surprised if on the
- 11:5410th or 15th or 17th time of listening to this that you've
- 12:03run out of things to think of. Because now all of those things,
- 12:11you feel just as relaxed as if you're in a forest next to a
- 12:17stream out in nature with the breeze and smells of the forest.
- 12:27And imagine a year from now what it would feel like.
- 12:31A year of experiencing feeling relaxed and calm in the very
- 12:34situations that in the past you felt anxious doing.
- 12:42Maybe that would feel liberating, like the world is
- 12:47opening up. Freeing.
- 12:54Anxiety builds walls, but feeling relaxed, calm and
- 13:01confident breaks those walls down.
- 13:05And I want you to think of something, something that could
- 13:11happen in the future that in the past was daunting but now would
- 13:18be exciting. And just imagine seeing yourself
- 13:26like you're someone else doing that thing.
- 13:29Calm, confidently looking relaxed, not needing to fidget
- 13:36or look uncomfortable. And if you could imagine that
- 13:42future version of you doing something that Once Upon a time
- 13:49would have seemed impossible. And now it seems, if not
- 13:56possible or probable, consider it just the kind of thing that
- 14:06is a good intention. And if that feels like a
- 14:11desirable future, let me know. By nodding your head and each
- 14:19time you do something that previously made you feel anxious
- 14:24and you feel calm and relaxed, you're getting closer to that
- 14:31future becoming not a possibility for the destiny.
- 14:40It's time to leave the forest. Imagine leaving that
- 14:46uncomfortable plastic chair. But as you leave the forest,
- 14:51feel a sense of new found hope and a belief that the best way
- 15:04to bring anxiety down to A2 or below, or just long outward
- 15:11breaths from your diaphragm. And sometimes you'll be
- 15:16surprised at just how few breaths it takes to get to that
- 15:22manageable level. And as you hold that thought,
- 15:27take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 15:31nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 15:36wiggle your toes. Connect and calibrate into the
- 15:40here and the now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken
- 15:46you. Starting to count. 123 waking up
- 15:52456, more alert. 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 15:56Open your eyes 910. Wide awake, Wide awake by the
- 16:02week. Thank.
