I am actually preparing a few of the podcasts ahead of time because I'm about to head out on a trip and our retreat with Empower. We're starting the trip off. Mom and I are headed to Boston and a couple of friends. and I've never been to Boston. I'm excited. I'm going to go check it out. ⁓ spend a few days there. If you're on Instagram or Facebook, follow me so that, ⁓ you can watch the, the fun travels unfold. I'm praying for good weather. ⁓ it's been definitely a little chilly. over there, of course. And we're also going to Azores, which I am so excited about you guys. We've been planning this retreat for the past year. We have an amazing group of women that are going to be joining us. I think there's like 25 of us that are gonna be going to these beautiful islands off the coast of Portugal. And it's just gonna be such a special time. And I'm also going to be a podcast all about retreats soon. So look for that. ⁓ going to talk about my experience in retreats and as well as some of the ⁓ just that I love doing retreats. But let's dive into today to today's topic. The ⁓ top that I love and recommend to my clients. ⁓ really no particular order to this except for this first book is the most recommended book ⁓ I share clients. is the book that ⁓ really expands your and it helps you ⁓ see your own And this book is ⁓ Loving What Is. By Byron Katie. I found this book, actually my mother gave it to me, was funny, I don't even know if she read it, ⁓ it was given to her by an old family friend. If ever hear this, Pat Elliot, thank you for sending this to my mother. This book has definitely changed my life. Byron Katie's teachings phenomenal. They really open your mind as to who you're being in your life and takes you out of the victim mentality and really has you looking hard at how you're contributing to your experiences. And what I love about loving what is, is she has four questions that can really change your life. And it's in the beginning of the book, she describes, you know, this these four questions, this process, inquiry ⁓ yourself. And basically, the four questions are, it true? That thing I'm thinking about in my head, is it true? Number can it? Can I absolutely know it's true? Number three, how do I react when I think these thoughts? And number four, who would I be without that thought? Those questions alone, mean, they are so self-reflective on any situation that you may be finding yourself bumping up against that you're continuing to. you feel stuck in a cycle of some sort. And when you stop and you pause and you ask yourself those questions, you can really find some clarity and there's some opportunities to shift when you ask yourself those. ⁓ And the rest of the book is really just her actually... going through a, I think it's like a workshop she did or something like that where she's describing the dialogue of the questions that people asked during the workshop. So this is definitely by far of the best books that I would highly recommend. Next book I have ⁓ on my stack, my list here is Manifest. Your Desires by Esther and Jerry Hicks. This is a fun little read. Each is just a ⁓ ⁓ a different topic, a different perspective, ⁓ a way of understanding yourself and the world around you and how to manifest more of what you want. I love Esther and Jerry Hicks, Abraham Hicks, if you've ever heard of that. Abraham is the collective that Esther channels. You can look them up on YouTube if you've never heard of them. It's pretty fun stuff. ⁓ Next is, my goodness, someone I love, ⁓ I got to go see him speak actually before he passed the late ⁓ Dr. Dyer. He is ⁓ just phenomenal speaker author. And ⁓ this one of ⁓ the books that read by him, The Power of Intention. but he has several books that are really great. one is super fun because again, it makes you kind of look at it that you're intending in your and how powerful you setting your intention, you focusing ⁓ on your intention really help shape your life. So I highly, highly recommend The Power of Intention by Dr. Wayne Dyer. And then, my goodness, everyone gets ⁓ better better, right? Eckhart Tolle. so, once another person I got to see speak ⁓ and I am ⁓ ⁓ love Eckhart. I him in this book. Years ago, maybe some of you remember, Oprah had him do a special book club, like weekly. my goodness, this had to be at I don't know, maybe 15 years ago. I don't ⁓ really but it's called A New Earth, Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, ⁓ and it phenomenal. really ⁓ helping understand consciousness. If you've ever wondered what are we about when we're talking about consciousness, ⁓ he really describes and ego-based ⁓ and how we kind of have these pain bodies, these these traumas that we live over and over again that are kind of our reactive part of ourselves. And this is such a great book, anything by Eckhart Tolle. I listen to him weekly. I listen to his podcast. That's the one of the podcasts I never miss. And it's basically on his podcast, he's sharing his spiritual teachings. They're usually like retreats that he's done and they've taken out excerpts of that. of the retreats, but yes, I love love love Eckhart Tolle. The next fun read is A Happy Pocketful of Money. This was such a fun, I'm trying to remember who recommended this book to me, but was just such a different take on money. If you're feeling ⁓ burnt out money or by money advice, go. pick up this book. This book is so good. It talks about money in a different way than I've ever heard. It's by David Cameron Gikanti. I'm going to mess up some of these names. I apologize. Everyone always messes up my name as well. So it is such a fun book. I've given it to clients before that are struggling with money and they really have loved So Go grab a happy pocket full of money. Some of the other books here, Brené my goodness. If you haven't heard Brené Brown speak, you have to go listen to her Ted Talks first of all. She's phenomenal. Most of us have heard of Brené Brown unless, I ⁓ don't know, maybe just haven't had her in your sphere. I also have her Atlas, this is I think one of the newer ones, Atlas of the Heart, but I actually think she's written something else since then. I loved The Gifts of Imperfection. This was one of the first books I read by her and this was such a great read to just start to accept yourself more. If you're struggling with not accepting yourself, This is a perfect small read to pick up and really stop that habit of not yourself. I would highly, highly recommend. And this is, I'm see looking back, I'm already picking out more books for you. Conscious Parent is such a great book. ⁓ When I was a younger parent, I grabbed this book and this like my Bible. I love, love, love her teachings on parenting. They're so empowering. And then there's a few others that I have. The Artist's Way. If you're a creative or if you are a business owner or you're just wanting to be more creative in your life or more expressive, The Artist's Way is such a great book by Julia Cameron. It's been around forever and it's such a wonderful way to ⁓ your creativity again. Let's ⁓ I have a few on my audibles. to share with you, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, Joe Dispenza. my goodness, again, another one that's just like, Joe Dispenza ⁓ is ⁓ really great. You can find him again on YouTube ⁓ He talks about really understanding biologically what's happening in our body, why we kind of get stuck in the same cycles and the same emotions. He talks a lot about the chemicals that happen in our body ⁓ and to just break out ⁓ of habits that we get stuck in. And then, ⁓ ooh, forgot about... This is another one. I don't have the book right here. I think it's actually probably in my daughter's room in her bookshelf, but it's the Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. this is such a read and it's so, so great. I'm always quoting and talking about the Four Agreements that he writes about in his book. These are fun. These are actually just a deck of cards that I have that someone gave me and I love reading these cards. So maybe we'll just for fun, pull some of these cards here. And then see what is our message today on this podcast. Here we go. and let go of the past. ⁓ is that for? ⁓ my goodness. Surrender and let go of the past. Always do your best. And when he ⁓ that chapter, always do your best, that's one of my favorite chapters, he's about how our best changes day to day, right? And so not holding yourself up to some perfection, some expectation of your best should look like something, but really being more compassionate with yourself that your best will change day to day. the back of this card reads, whatever life takes away from you, let it go. When you surrender and let go of the past, you allow yourself to be fully alive in the moment. Letting go of the past means that you can enjoy the dream that is happening right now. That is so good. So good. Oh, how fun. All right. So last few books, again, on the audible, I have Ooh, The Courage to Be Disliked, such a great book. Rejection Proof, both of those phenomenal reads if you're someone who's been struggling with that fear of looking dumb or that fear of what other people think of you. Take Back Your Brain by Kara Lowenthal, ⁓ is ⁓ a good read. She actually is a life coach that studied at the same coaching school that I did. And so a lot of what she talks about in the book are things that I coach about ⁓ and very aligned with my teachings and coaching. So you may wanna check that out too. It's really great. ⁓ Radical Acceptance by Tara Brock. long time ago, I read this one. This one was really good. Great book. It really started me on that path of just taking radical for yourself and really accepting what is. then The Having. I actually just recommended this to a friend the other day. The Having is such an awesome book. is about ⁓ happy with what you have, being content with what you have. So often we are always looking for next or searching for more, which is a ⁓ you know, growth of our humankind. ⁓ But The Having a way of really creating and manifesting abundance from what you have already. So if you're struggling and dissatisfaction, always feeling like you want more and not there, go read The Having. The Having is awesome. My final book recommendation is something I haven't finished yet, ⁓ but am obsessed with her book and I'm about a little more than halfway so far. And it's Abundant Ever After Tools for Creating a Life of Prosperity and Ease by Kathy Heller. Such a fun read. I'm loving, loving, loving this book. So that is it for my book recommendations. I'm sure there's more but because I just ⁓ love reading you know, development books. you have a favorite, please send it to me. Send it to me either DM me or email me. Send me whatever your favorites are. I also recently ⁓ got reading a lot of fantasy fiction. I'm really into Romanticie if you've ever heard of it. ⁓ so if you are someone that actually prefers fiction, let me know. have another whole list of amazing books that I've read in Romanticie genre. So if that's your vibe, hit me up. ⁓ would love to share some of those amazing books as well. Big thanks for tuning in this week, friends. I hope these books will inspire you and that you will find the same comfort and growth they've given me. ⁓ As always, have a beautiful week and remember you are enough and you are evolving.
