- 0:29Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Love Your Love Muscle, our
- 0:33bi-weekly podcast, produced by the Transformational Meditation
- 0:37Group, a group of people and meditation teachers, self-regulation
- 0:41teachers that, work for better health,
- 0:45stress management. Living from the heart is what we are all
- 0:48about. Uh, yeah, you know the drill.
- 0:51And as you can see, I'm not outside today.
- 0:54I'm at the office, which often means that we have a guest, and
- 0:58today we have Christina here from, Health for Life,
- 1:02and, we're going to talk about her organization very soon.
- 1:05I will let you, let her introduce herself also very
- 1:09soon. But first, before we get started, and out of respect for our
- 1:13guest, we're going to do a little self-regulation
- 1:16session. As you might know, I am not very fond of
- 1:20how short people's attention span is nowadays.
- 1:23And again, out of respect for our guest, I want to do a little self-regulation
- 1:28technique with you that teaches you how to focus and
- 1:32gives you better focus as well, because our guest has lots of
- 1:36information, good information that you don't want to miss out
- 1:39on. Uh, and it will be a shame if you, like, after one minute
- 1:43already go to another website or another social,
- 1:47social, media
- 1:50platform to check out on other things.
- 1:52So you go, you miss out on so many useful
- 1:55information. So I want you all to just sit down and
- 1:59relax,
- 2:00and just start by taking a nice deep inhale through your nose
- 2:05and exhale through your mouth. And then you lower your shoulders, you
- 2:09loosen your jaw, and just let the day go. Be more present.
- 2:13Settle down with us. Settle down with Christina and
- 2:15me. Breathe calmly
- 2:20and deeply. And if you want to close your eyes for a moment, you
- 2:24can do that.
- 2:30And on the next out breath, relax even more.
- 2:34Let more of the day go and become more present in this
- 2:37moment.
- 2:40And I want to invite you to put a hand on your heart space, on your chest
- 2:44right there where your heart is,
- 2:46and just set the intention for yourself that
- 2:50this time you're going to focus and sit down with us and
- 2:54absorb all the useful and wonderful information
- 2:58our guest today, Christina, has to offer to
- 3:00us.
- 3:04And just breathe
- 3:07calmly and deeply.
- 3:18All right. Beautiful. So get back again.
- 3:21Open your eyes if you had them closed, and just notice how that feels,
- 3:27right? Just notice how that short self-regulation
- 3:30technique just hijacked you from going to
- 3:34another social media site and
- 3:37checking on other things. And if you notice, if you, if you don't
- 3:40have time for the whole episode, know that we also have the
- 3:44recording. If you are a paying Patreon member of our,
- 3:48our website, you'll get, the video
- 3:51recording. You can always watch the video recording,
- 3:54afterwards. And if you're watching live, you of course, you already see the
- 3:58video. Uh, but we also release the recording as an
- 4:02audio podcast on all the platforms, a week
- 4:05later from now. So don't worry. But,
- 4:09yeah, I hope you'll
- 4:12sit this through and, enjoy all the wonderful information
- 4:16Christina has to offer. Uh, like I said, Christina,
- 4:20has an organization or a business called Health for
- 4:23Life, but she's also the founder of an organization
- 4:27called, Way to Yourself,
- 4:30which was very interesting. We just talked about it, but I want
- 4:34to, I want you to, to listen to how she explains it herself.
- 4:37What is this organization, Christina?
- 4:40And welcome, of course.
- 4:42Yeah. First of all, thank you so much for welcoming me here
- 4:46today. I'm very glad to, to be there.
- 4:49And, of course, I can give some insight in, the
- 4:52organization, in the work what we are doing.
- 4:56Um, so already many years back, there was the idea
- 5:00to, to establish something which, can
- 5:04be the help for many people, which brings
- 5:08me, which brings, like a lot of effect,
- 5:12in the life of each, person who is open for
- 5:15this. And so we started the found- the foundation,
- 5:19the organization, to share the ancient
- 5:22knowledge. The name of the organization is called Way to
- 5:26Yourself,
- 5:27because we are living right now in a very special time,
- 5:31people facing a lot of challenges, and,
- 5:35as well asking them- themselves, "So what I have to do
- 5:39basically in my life? What is my purpose?
- 5:42Uh, where I really can find, my, my
- 5:46purpose, my mission? Where I can find, my
- 5:51knowledge for health? What I have to do to be successful
- 5:55in life? What I have to do to find the right
- 5:58partner, to be able to have a good
- 6:01relationship, to have a good family, to raise up happy,
- 6:05healthy children?" Um, we are living in a quite
- 6:09modern time, but it looks like that we lost a lot of the
- 6:12knowledge which, which we need for our
- 6:16life.And, as well, very
- 6:20often right now comes in, like, people,
- 6:23to, to my life who asking about the, the topic,
- 6:28"You know, I don't know what I have to believe," or, "What is the
- 6:32faith about?" And, more and more there comes
- 6:36also the question, what do we believe in?
- 6:39Because we are surrounded from social media, we have the
- 6:42technology, we are developing very
- 6:46fast, but somehow we are losing the connection to
- 6:49ourself, and that's why Way to Yourself was
- 6:53established, and, with the purpose to share the ancient
- 6:57knowledge that people can really use, for their, for their own
- 7:01life, to have a big, benefit from it.
- 7:04When they really understand the knowledge and can use it, the
- 7:08life will change. Immediately the things are changing,
- 7:12and not only life will change, you also feel this, inner
- 7:16satisfaction. I don't know, maybe you understand what I'm talking
- 7:20about, when I talk about this, like, inner
- 7:24feeling. This is something
- 7:26you cannot find from your social media, you cannot fri- find from
- 7:30computers. Uh, you really have to go outside maybe
- 7:34to nature, to,
- 7:37to, to a natural place without all the technical things.
- 7:42And when you have the knowledge, when you really understand what to do,
- 7:46you feel this deep inner feeling, and this is something
- 7:49amazing. It touched me long time ago very
- 7:53deeply, and I like it so much to share.
- 7:57That's why Way to Yourself was, founded, and,
- 8:01we are sharing in the workshops and seminars,
- 8:05and, even have now another, big topic
- 8:09which is also coming to, yeah, to the
- 8:12organization. I don't know if you want to tell
- 8:15something in between or if I just continue.
- 8:19I wa- I want to say one thing before you continue.
- 8:22Yeah.
- 8:22Like, because this resonates so enormously with me and,
- 8:26and, and my life experience, and I think many of the listeners
- 8:30and watch- viewers as well. Because, as you know,
- 8:34my, from, we talked before a long time ago about
- 8:37what we do. Um, my mission is
- 8:42making people whole again, connecting people's heart to their
- 8:45brains-
- 8:46Mm-hmm
- 8:46... and thereby getting that, finding that way to
- 8:51yourself, basically. Because
- 8:53the moment I started doing that, the moment I dist- I, I
- 8:57connected my heart to my brain again, I felt
- 9:00whole. I felt like n- okay, so this is what it is
- 9:04about to be a human being, and things came more natural.
- 9:08And like you said, you don't need the computer or anything.
- 9:11Like, it becomes irrelevant because you are satisfied and happy with yourself
- 9:15and who you are. Uh, and that c- for me, that came
- 9:19from h- heart-brain coherence techniques, basically.
- 9:23This is also something, we teach in the Transformational Meditation
- 9:26Group. And
- 9:28the, the, the focus is mainly with, with, with my work and our work
- 9:32is connecting the heart to the brain, and in that way
- 9:35feeling and becoming more acquainted with themselves.
- 9:38Finding the Way to Yourself is, is beautiful name for that organization
- 9:42when it comes to that. And,
- 9:47yeah, really getting flow in
- 9:48life as well. Like, just be in nature.
- 9:52We do nature meditations in the summer with our organization in
- 9:56Norway. Uh, I have my podcast recordings
- 10:00recently actually moved completely to nature, which we, we record everything
- 10:04outside in, in Norwegian nature. Uh, and it
- 10:08is, the whole thing becomes so much
- 10:11better. The, the, the, the people are,
- 10:15love it. I make spatial videos,
- 10:19of the record, of the, of the situation we are in, so people can
- 10:22watch in 3D glasses and have surround sound as well, and really be
- 10:26observed in nature if they haven't the possibility to be there.
- 10:30Uh, but yeah. D- does, does, Way to,
- 10:34Way to Yourself focus on heart as well, on the
- 10:38heart-brain connection, or do the, do you use other techniques and
- 10:42other knowledge, ancient knowledge?
- 10:46Thank you so much for this questions.
- 10:48Basically, it's a very, very important question.
- 10:51Uh, we are focusing a lot about the heart-
- 10:53Mm-hmm
- 10:53... because, when you work with the heart, you really find
- 10:57a connection to yourself. And not only this, because when you are able
- 11:01to open your heart, your life is much more
- 11:04easy. And, I just was thinking now when you
- 11:08explained, you help, like, to connect the heart to the
- 11:11brain. I was thinking Way to Yourself probably is now,
- 11:16the, the second part what you are doing, because we try to
- 11:19connect people from the heart to some higher power.
- 11:23Mm.
- 11:24Uh, as, as I told before, people ask a lot about
- 11:27belief, about faith, and, we cannot
- 11:31find belief and faith in our technical things, not in the
- 11:35computer, not in the mobile phone.
- 11:39And, sometimes it's really question,
- 11:43yeah, what, what matters really in life.
- 11:46And, some people, they believe in the, the force, in the
- 11:50guidance of the universe, some talking even
- 11:54about, other higher power. And so
- 11:57maybe we have, have to find a connection from our heart to this
- 12:01higher powers again, because then truly our life
- 12:05change. Then really everything is possible and,
- 12:09this is a very, very beautiful feeling, and
- 12:13our life starts to blossom. So this is, I think,
- 12:17the effect what happens automatically in our work when we
- 12:21are sharing this ancient teachings, this ancient
- 12:24knowledge, and, people find this connection
- 12:28again.When you are really truly connected, then you, you
- 12:32see how, the things are start
- 12:36moving in your life. Maybe you know often we have
- 12:39situations in our life,
- 12:43it's like, you want to move with the car, you want to drive with your car,
- 12:47but, somehow it's d- difficult because, there
- 12:51are still the, the brake, like, which is not
- 12:55released.
- 12:56Mm-hmm.
- 12:56And so you try to, to drive, but the brake is,
- 13:00holding the car. And sometimes we have situations in our life like
- 13:04this, and really when you find this connection and when you
- 13:07have the ancient knowledge, then it's changing.
- 13:10You are releasing immediately the brake, and you feel that things are
- 13:14moving in the right direction. So basically this is something
- 13:18what we are doing. And,
- 13:22yeah. Uh, we, we are there, we are
- 13:25here.
- 13:26Mm-hmm.
- 13:26And, even,
- 13:29as well, we are ready to,
- 13:35to spread it a- around,
- 13:38not only in our country, but we are ready to spread it
- 13:41where people are open for this, where people are
- 13:45searching for it. Uh, after some time,
- 13:49basically not, not even two years ago, there came a-
- 13:53another big part, to our
- 13:55organization. Um, it's the help of
- 13:59orphans, the, the children without parents.
- 14:03And, it's a big topic because in reality
- 14:07we have a lot of children without parents, and really who
- 14:11are in a big need in other countries that we cannot even
- 14:15imagine that, such things exist.
- 14:18Uh, but we started, to support them, to, to give
- 14:22them a future, to help them with the basic
- 14:26needs, with food, with education, with
- 14:29medical care. And moreover, there is now
- 14:33the, the goal and the vision, to help,
- 14:37to build up a school or even some,
- 14:41some whole village of children. We need to see what the future brings
- 14:45because we need a lot of helping hands, a lot of people who
- 14:49are following this, this idea as well.
- 14:52And, yeah, I, I have
- 14:56a vision that when we are working together, like
- 15:00hand-in-hand, we can achieve a lot of,
- 15:03positive changes in our world, and,
- 15:07not only in the world of course, also in our families and in our
- 15:11life.
- 15:14Is, is there a, um... Because that came forward out of
- 15:18that, out of your org- out of the Way to Your Self
- 15:21organization. Do you, you
- 15:25set up schools? Do you also educate with the ancient
- 15:29knowledge
- 15:31to the Ugandan people?
- 15:33Yes.
- 15:33Yeah?
- 15:33It's a good question. Thank you so much. I started already.
- 15:37Mm-hmm.
- 15:37Um, and not only about ancient knowledge.
- 15:40Basically these people, they are lacking a lot because,
- 15:43education is, some,
- 15:47very precious,
- 15:50lu- luxury tool I would say. Um, it's not,
- 15:55possible for everybody to get education.
- 15:58There existing a lot of people, without,
- 16:02without knowledge, without
- 16:04school. Uh, they are not able to read, not eba- not
- 16:07even able to write,
- 16:10the grown-ups. And, this is very
- 16:13difficult situation in reality. And so we started to
- 16:17teach them, like, very simple things for their daily
- 16:20life, but of course as well the ancient
- 16:23knowledge, which helps of course even
- 16:26more. Yeah. We started spreading it in the
- 16:30country and, in different congresses
- 16:33even, which is very, very nice and beautiful.
- 16:39You talked about, the brakes of a car, like people going through
- 16:42life
- 16:44driving their car basically, but having the, their one foot on the
- 16:47brake. What, what do you s- what do you
- 16:51see is an analogy for that, for that brake?
- 16:54Is it, people not trust- trusting
- 16:57themselves or is it basically lack of
- 17:01knowledge? Is it not wanting to let go of something?
- 17:04Uh, not, not able to,
- 17:09to accept that you don't have control over things?
- 17:11What, what, what does the brake stand for, stand for in, in your
- 17:14eyes?
- 17:17Thank you so much for this question.
- 17:19It's a very wise question basically,
- 17:22and, it's not so easy to answer because we have a different,
- 17:26like, a lot of different influences.
- 17:29Uh, sometimes really comes from our, in modern
- 17:33language we talk about the mindset,
- 17:36what we have, the program in our mind.
- 17:39Uh, a lot is coming from our childhood, from education,
- 17:43like from parents,
- 17:45after from kindergarten, from schools,
- 17:50like, wherever you are learning, from
- 17:53university, from your, working
- 17:57place. And, of course, as well
- 18:01we have influence from
- 18:03the society.
- 18:04Mm-hmm.
- 18:05The society have a own program and most of the people
- 18:09follow this, program and the rules.
- 18:12And as well we have a lot of influence coming from our own
- 18:16ancestors, from our family
- 18:18lineage.
- 18:20Mm-hmm.
- 18:20And, sometimes even we carry, the
- 18:24problems in our relationships, we carry the problems
- 18:27in our own health which is coming from our ancestor
- 18:31lineage. And so we can-See it, we can
- 18:35start working with this and using, of course, the knowledge as
- 18:39well, and then our life starts slowly,
- 18:43slowly by slowly to change.
- 18:46It resonates a lot with what we do with the transformational meditation
- 18:50group as well. It's the whole package basically what you say.
- 18:53Uh, in my courses, I call it for the confirmistic filter, which basically
- 18:57is some place in our brain that says, "This is the world according to
- 19:01me," but that according to me is based on, for example, like you
- 19:05mentioned, genetic memory even, like from
- 19:08generations, passed from, from, from our
- 19:11ancestors, but also our culture, our society, our religion, our belief
- 19:15system, things that we are being told f- at
- 19:19school, like the w- the world is like this, which doesn't have to
- 19:23be correct at all and, and, and is
- 19:25basically, it, it colors
- 19:29our, our perception
- 19:32and, our belief system, and especially what we
- 19:36think is possible and not possible.
- 19:39And when you remove those, when you put your foot off the
- 19:42brake and let go, what you can, for example, do with
- 19:46ancient knowledge and what we do with deep meditation is just peel
- 19:50away all those layers that the brake con- the, the,
- 19:54con- that the brake, consists of, and,
- 19:58and that freedom
- 20:00that you get
- 20:02and the results that you experience afterwards,
- 20:05like, well, what, what I often hear f-
- 20:09I, I hope you hear the same from your clients or, or, or course members
- 20:13or... That, that they say, "Oi, all of a sudden life
- 20:17flows more. I have-- I can think about
- 20:20something, and I've naturally things
- 20:24happen," or, "What I focus on, I
- 20:28get... The, the area I focus on, I get more possibilities to actually make
- 20:32that, that dream or that wish or whatever I want to have
- 20:36as a goal, make that come true." Do you experience
- 20:40the same things with yourself and your clients?
- 20:44Yeah, sure. Sure. We have, like the
- 20:47starting, point really in our mind,
- 20:51because, we only see the things are very, very
- 20:54limited because-
- 20:56Mm-hmm
- 20:56... different reasons. And, when we are able to,
- 21:00break through these, limitations, a lot more is
- 21:04possible. Uh, you, you attract different things to your
- 21:08life, different situations can immediately
- 21:11change, and you come really to the point when you feel this
- 21:15inner harmony, like the state which, you cannot find
- 21:19nowhere. It's really something very, very deep inside of
- 21:22ourself. And,
- 21:26yeah, so this is a
- 21:28recommendation from me coming really to, to
- 21:32use ancient knowledge, for their own life and
- 21:36to, to break, through these limitations because,
- 21:41then really our life change.
- 21:43Mm-hmm.
- 21:45That's the beautiful part of our work, like we use ancient
- 21:47knowledge, and we refer to it a lot and also
- 21:51package it in, in a more modern language so it's more
- 21:54understandable. Um, th- there's one thing that is
- 21:59often bothers me, people coming to me like, "Yeah, I'm
- 22:02changing, but it's affecting my
- 22:04relationship."
- 22:06Yeah.
- 22:06What do you say-- What, yeah, what do you say to that?
- 22:08Because, like, I always, I'm like, "Why doesn't your
- 22:12partner come along with you and experience the same benefits as
- 22:16you have?" But yeah, how do you, how do you, deal with that when somebody
- 22:20comes to you and says, "Yeah, this is affecting my relationship," and,
- 22:24maybe that's something that therefore they want to quit doing the work.
- 22:28Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. It's a good question.
- 22:31I know the situations basically also a lot,
- 22:35moreover because, women are very open for the ancient knowledge.
- 22:39They start to develop themselves, they get new
- 22:41experiences, and so they bringing it home.
- 22:45And of course, the husband, the partner reacts on it.
- 22:48And, some, they experience it as a very,
- 22:53a good, how to say, like a good moment in
- 22:56their life, because they get more harmony.
- 23:00Even the partner starts to develop, to get interested, to do
- 23:04something. And so both are changing, which really
- 23:08gives, gives a good, impact in their relationship.
- 23:12But of course, there existing also the couples, when women, for
- 23:15example, they develop and the partner is not interested at
- 23:19all. And then of course, there can be coming
- 23:22some, like, difficult moment, maybe even some
- 23:25conflicts. And, you were telling it with
- 23:29a, with good words already. So when, when it's giving
- 23:33something positive in your life, why your partner don't want to use it
- 23:37and, don't, don't want to change things for the better?
- 23:41This is a first question. But, really there
- 23:45existing, people and
- 23:48relationships, they are not open.
- 23:50They are not ready for, changes, for good changes.
- 23:54They already so used to their everyday life.
- 23:58Uh, they are okay with it, and they, they don't want to
- 24:01change. But of course, it can be a big,
- 24:05topic when one person is changing, another person not.
- 24:09And, for the future, the couple need to see if they
- 24:13can, yeah, can,
- 24:16consist or not. Maybe they, get separated
- 24:20even.
- 24:21We never know what will be the, the, the end.
- 24:25Uh, but in reality, our relationships are
- 24:28alive. Alive means, every day is
- 24:32different. Um, nothing is, should be stuck.
- 24:35We always develop, because we are learning a lot from
- 24:39each other.Each person is different.
- 24:42Um, we, we can improve the relationship.
- 24:45Basically, it's something like flower.
- 24:48When you have a flower, you have to take care about it, right?
- 24:52You have to, to bring the water, to, to take care,
- 24:56to give this flow- flower even the love,
- 25:00to nourish it,
- 25:02and sometimes, people forget that the relationship is
- 25:05basically the same. Every day you need to work on
- 25:08it. Otherwise, it's not blossoming,
- 25:12and, when it's getting stuck, some people, they
- 25:16try to escape, like they really want to get out because they
- 25:20feel, "I'm not comfortable anymore.
- 25:23Uh, I'm moving in a circle. Um, I need to do something
- 25:27different," and that's why they want to, yeah, to get
- 25:30out. But, when both are in harmony, then,
- 25:35they develop themselves together.
- 25:39Ba-
- 25:39I agree.
- 25:40Uh-huh.
- 25:40It, it's also, like,
- 25:43it's also part of you have to give each other the room to grow-
- 25:47Mm-hmm
- 25:47... and actually be excited. Why, why aren't you
- 25:51excited about your partner,
- 25:55growing, getting more involved,
- 25:58getting more, getting to know herself or himself
- 26:01better
- 26:03and, and
- 26:04succeed in life? I mean, that, that must be...
- 26:07I think this, it's mostly a beautiful thing to, to, to be a part of,
- 26:11right? But somehow some people don't accept it.
- 26:15It's... I always find interesting, like, oh, my partner
- 26:19is, is, is embracing the ancient knowledge, and I
- 26:23see it has effect. She's more positive, or he's more
- 26:26positive, and, op- opportunities
- 26:30come, without, any,
- 26:36strangles or stre- what I want to call it, and,
- 26:41and, and you, you should be happy about that, right?
- 26:43If you see your partner, being, experience so
- 26:47much positivity and, and, and so much, good stuff in
- 26:51life, and somehow some people don't accept it, and I've always
- 26:54think, "Hmm, is that a, is that a, is that a good
- 26:58relationship then?" And like you say, sometimes it ends up in a
- 27:02divorce or anything like that, a breakup. Yeah.
- 27:05Unfortunately, but maybe also, maybe also a good thing
- 27:08sometimes, like, to, in order to-
- 27:12Mm
- 27:12... to, to, to become
- 27:15even more whole, and you have to let go
- 27:18of people that aren't,
- 27:21yeah, that don't fit in, in that picture anymore, or are
- 27:25maybe, are maybe becoming the brake.
- 27:29Mm.
- 27:29Hmm.
- 27:30It's, it's really true. I agree with this,
- 27:34totally. That's why one of my favorite teachings
- 27:37really is, the, the situation and the
- 27:41understanding that we truly lost, the knowledge
- 27:45about how to choose the right partner.
- 27:48Hmm.
- 27:48How can I understand, like, what partner I need for my
- 27:52life to have a good and harmonious
- 27:55relationship? Our modern world is
- 27:58based, I think, even
- 28:01in a lot of other countries, too, I'm just, know now,
- 28:05like, a lot of, things from my own country.
- 28:08I don't know about other European countries or even outside who are
- 28:12looking maybe now. Um, we are living in a
- 28:16time when people, they choose a partner from the outside.
- 28:19Like, they want to have a partner who looks good, who is
- 28:23nice-looking. I don't know. I want a partner with brown
- 28:26hair, with blue eyes, whatever, and, need to
- 28:30be slim and tall, and a lot, a lot of different
- 28:34marks. Uh, but then they have a partner like this, and the
- 28:38trouble starts. Because in reality, they, they don't, do not
- 28:42fit together. They do, they do not understand really
- 28:45what, they need in a partner that the
- 28:49relationship really, really wants, like, to, to develop
- 28:53and to bring a benefit, and the partner is not
- 28:57really, um... Sometimes I have this picture in my
- 29:00mind, people think the partner is like a
- 29:04furniture. You bring it home, and you put it somewhere.
- 29:08Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 29:10But it, it's not like this.
- 29:12No.
- 29:12Uh, the partner is life. Every day the situation's
- 29:15changing.
- 29:17The mood is changing. And so
- 29:21sometimes people forget about this, but we need to work with
- 29:25it, right?
- 29:26Yeah.
- 29:27Yeah.
- 29:28It, it's, it's, it's one of the things I see as well as a, as an
- 29:32issue or challenge in Western society, especially where
- 29:35people and, and, and living beings become objects-
- 29:40Yeah.
- 29:41... instead of, instead of, an, an energy, an
- 29:44emotion, a, a human being, a living
- 29:48thing, right? I, I don't want to call it a thing even.
- 29:50A living human being-
- 29:52Yeah
- 29:52... with all their, all their, all their beautiful
- 29:56aspects. I mean, and ever-changing, which is, I think,
- 30:00which is the,
- 30:03the most important thing, like, having a partner that, that grows
- 30:07with you
- 30:08together.
- 30:09Mm-hmm. Yeah.
- 30:10Uh, that's the... A- and, and
- 30:12can... Um, and it, it's absolutely true.
- 30:15We, we, we have... It's, it's our upbringing, and one of
- 30:19those elements of the brake, I like to call...
- 30:21Get back to the, the, the car brakes.
- 30:23One of the elements in the, in the brake, I guess, as well, where we have been
- 30:27conditioned to think,
- 30:30exterior. To think how things look,
- 30:34right? Especially, oh, this looks good, or this sounds good,
- 30:37or whatever like that, but we never go deeper inside.
- 30:40What's under, what's behind that exterior?
- 30:42What's in that exterior? Uh,
- 30:46because-And that's also a thing I find interesting
- 30:50because the, the people that are
- 30:54beautiful on the inside, that have find themselves in a hole, that have,
- 30:59found their way to theirself, to themselves, they are often
- 31:03radiant and beautiful
- 31:05automatically in nature. Their confidence, they radiate.
- 31:09That's confidence outside.
- 31:12Um, often tend to be more compassionate,
- 31:16more caring, undest- understanding, more
- 31:20balanced. Um, and
- 31:23that should naturally attract people who are the same,
- 31:27right? And that's also maybe why some relationships
- 31:30where one of the partners becomes that better
- 31:34version of themselves, becomes more radiant, more
- 31:38holistic, more everything, more a human being,
- 31:42why, why some relationships stop because the other, the other
- 31:45partner, doesn't resonate with that
- 31:49quite yet.
- 31:51Mm-hmm.
- 31:51Yeah. But yeah, absolutely, it's,
- 31:55the, the, those are the challenges.
- 31:57Can we, can we... We, we were talking about, schools
- 32:01in Uganda, but can we learn something from the, the culture in
- 32:05Uganda as well, which would, benefit the
- 32:09Western society especially?
- 32:12We can learn a lot. Really, really a lot.
- 32:15And, every time when I come back to my, home country,
- 32:19immediately I want to go back to Uganda because, I'm
- 32:23missing it here a lot.
- 32:25Uh, this is, the topic of, um...
- 32:28Basically, there are different topics. I need to start with one point.
- 32:32Um, the people there, they have a lot of needs because, in
- 32:36reality this country is very poor.
- 32:39Mm.
- 32:39It means, people, they suffer a lot in one point, but in
- 32:43the other point they are laughing a lot.
- 32:46They are just happy. They are happy even they have the biggest
- 32:50disasters in their life, they are deeply happy
- 32:53from, from the inside. And, moreover, they are very,
- 32:57very grateful for everything they have.
- 33:00Even if it is only very, very little, they are very
- 33:03grateful. And,
- 33:06what, impressed me a lot was when I came to the orphanage
- 33:11and, people ask me, "Ah, you, you can help
- 33:15now to share the food with children.
- 33:18You can, like, sit down and, give the children also some
- 33:22food." And I just, like, did like this other helper
- 33:25did. Uh, we were working together hand-in-hand,
- 33:30and then each child came, took the plate, and was
- 33:34kneeling down. And I thought, "Oh, my God. What is this?
- 33:38Why these children are kneeling down?" And then after
- 33:41I, I was asking, basically I
- 33:45realized now when they ate their food, the plate was
- 33:48empty, and before they go to clean their plate, they come
- 33:52back, like, to the person who gave the food, and
- 33:56kneeling down again and, thanking for the food and for the
- 34:00cooking.
- 34:02And then I ask, "Please let me know," because I'm not used for
- 34:06this, that children comes and really kneeling down.
- 34:10Uh, for me it's something completely new.
- 34:12And they told, "You know, this is really African tradition.
- 34:16This is a sign of respect, and,
- 34:19gratitude." They coming back thanking that, they
- 34:23got the food, and it's a deep respect to the person who
- 34:27helps them, to, yeah, to ta- to care.
- 34:31And I realized this even, when you're moving in the
- 34:34village, when you go to a city, when people in
- 34:38our age, so our... I think we are maybe the,
- 34:42the very similar age.
- 34:44Uh, when you're on the streets meeting people who are older, the
- 34:48generation of our parents, for example,
- 34:52we would even kneel down to give them the hand and to greet.
- 34:56I saw this, and I was also very deeply impressed.
- 34:59And I told, "What are you doing? What is this about?" And they
- 35:03told, "You know, this is a sign of, respect, especially for
- 35:07the age."
- 35:08Mm.
- 35:08All the, the older people, they have deep respect
- 35:12because they, they living more years.
- 35:15They have more experience.
- 35:17Mm.
- 35:17They always can share something. They can, teach you
- 35:21different things
- 35:23maybe you never experienced in your life.
- 35:26And, this was something really it impressed me a lot.
- 35:30And when I come back here to the European countries,
- 35:34I'm missing it a lot.
- 35:36Yeah.
- 35:37Um, more, like, first of all, the people in my
- 35:40country, they are not so joyful. They are not
- 35:44laughing so, so often. I don't know about
- 35:47Norway, how it's there. Um.
- 35:49Mm.
- 35:50Uh, and, so I'm missing this joy, this,
- 35:54really, this deep happiness inside, and as well
- 35:58how people communicate with each other, like, with this big
- 36:01respect. And even when they have some
- 36:05meeting, like physical meeting or online
- 36:08not so much existing because, still internet is difficult there.
- 36:12But, they have a lot of physical meetings.
- 36:16They have a lot of respect for the people who organizing
- 36:19it, who really is the leader, who can,
- 36:23share something, who can teach something.
- 36:27It's very, very diff- different, than to the most of the
- 36:31European countries here. And, I think it's
- 36:35a big, big difference from the Western
- 36:39to some- somehow, like Western countries to other countries,
- 36:43let's say, where we really can learn a lot.
- 36:46Yeah.
- 36:48I think that's so important. And also one of the-Most wonderful
- 36:52things of living on this planet and with the way we are able to
- 36:56travel all over the place now instead of,
- 37:01like I often think like especially the Western world and I've
- 37:05talked about it often as well, like it's almost like
- 37:08we, want to dominate
- 37:13other countries that we see as lesser than us.
- 37:17And we have seen that through history with colonization, et cetera.
- 37:20And there's so much
- 37:23we could have and still can learn
- 37:26from those other cultures that, that
- 37:30if we just had integrated that in our life and, and
- 37:34instead of dominating other people with our race, but integrated their
- 37:38ways into our race as well, that we would become a more
- 37:42coherent, human society as a
- 37:46whole on this planet. Because everybody, like you
- 37:50say, with respect for the elders especially, they have so much life
- 37:54knowledge, so much knowledge from life, from their own
- 37:57experiences. Uh, it's, it's a shame that we,
- 38:01when people get elderly, that we put them away in an elderly home
- 38:05and, and go and visit them once a month.
- 38:07You know, that's like
- 38:09all that knowledge, all those, all the things you can learn from
- 38:12our, our senior m- citizens,
- 38:17that, that basically can, can stop us from
- 38:20going into the same, er- doing the same errors over and
- 38:24over again, right? We can learn from, from their mistakes and not, don't,
- 38:28don't repeat them. I mean, there's so much we, yeah, we
- 38:32can learn from, from like you say, from the people from
- 38:35Uganda, with, okay, show respect to your
- 38:38elders and, and learn from them, learn from their, their
- 38:42experiences
- 38:44and be grateful. Gratitude is so important.
- 38:47Gra- gratitude, universal key to manifestation.
- 38:49If you're grateful for something, you get more.
- 38:52And I guess the Ugandan people understand that as, as,
- 38:56as no other. Like the more gratitude you show, the more
- 39:00you, you be in a, you are in a state of gratitude.
- 39:03The, the opportunities to become more grateful open
- 39:07up. Uh, so yeah, absolutely.
- 39:10Beautiful. Very important. All
- 39:13right. Um-
- 39:17I, I have an example if I can share.
- 39:19Yeah. Yeah.
- 39:21Yeah. I, was today in a school, as well, like teaching
- 39:25the children in my country about, the schools in other
- 39:29countries, about like bringing some connection
- 39:33even like from one country to another country, like different
- 39:36topics. And really, I love children so much.
- 39:40It's so amazing to work with them, but I see so much the
- 39:43differences.
- 39:45Mm-hmm.
- 39:45Like when you look to the different countries, how children
- 39:48behave, how when they are already like more in the
- 39:52teenager age, how they behave.
- 39:56And sometimes I'm even,
- 40:00surprised that the children, they, they lost the
- 40:04respect, in front of their teachers.
- 40:07Mm.
- 40:07Like I see the teacher in the class, in the school, and how they, they
- 40:11behave towards them. Uh, I feel, I feel sad
- 40:15myself. Uh, I, I'm always thinking about the children in
- 40:18Africa, how they behave, because even like when you,
- 40:23see them, when they are studying in school,
- 40:26it's very different. Really, they have, so much,
- 40:29uh... Oh yeah, it's a deep respect
- 40:33and, like a good behavior. Good behavior.
- 40:37They are getting teach from, the childhood like this.
- 40:41Even me, I remember I was also teach like this, but
- 40:45somehow, through the generation it got, got
- 40:48somehow maybe lost or they are looking
- 40:52for other values maybe now. I don't know.
- 40:56But, it's something what, what is like touching me very,
- 41:00very deeply.
- 41:03Uh,
- 41:04I think that's a subtopic we can talk about another time, but I want to tie
- 41:07into that a bit, the schools and education.
- 41:10Mm-hmm.
- 41:10Because there's huge differences, in, in Norway as well,
- 41:14and in the type of school. Um, like,
- 41:19in Norway we have, something called the Steiner School, which
- 41:22is the equivalent to Waldorf schools.
- 41:24I guess you know that in Germany especially.
- 41:28Uh, and when you see the difference in how, the
- 41:32education is in Waldorf schools and in public
- 41:35schools, it's, it's, it's a world of difference.
- 41:39Uh, in Waldorf schools, they, they,
- 41:44they greet the teacher in the morning, and that is a form
- 41:48of respect, right?
- 41:50Mm-hmm.
- 41:50And, at, at the schools my kids go to, my kids went to a Steiner
- 41:54school,
- 41:56they eat together, they make food together.
- 41:59Mm-hmm.
- 42:00Uh, so they have, lunch together with the whole class.
- 42:03They share things. Uh, and their education
- 42:07form is more practical, which, which makes it also that
- 42:11the kids are more interested because they're doing more.
- 42:14They, they're learning, but they're also doing more. Kids want to play.
- 42:17Kids want to make things, right? They want to, to work
- 42:21with their hands. They want to run around,
- 42:25and they want to also see the theory of, for example,
- 42:28mathematics. Yeah, what, what does this do in practice?
- 42:31What can I do with it? Well, you use it in the kitchen to measure how
- 42:35many liters of milk you have to use for this cake, for
- 42:38example, and they learn to calculate and use mathematics in a
- 42:42practical way. And it, it inspires kids much more
- 42:46than sitting in a school bench listening to some dumb teacher just
- 42:50reading from a book, right? And, and you have to try to, to
- 42:54remember everything for your next exam.So you did, the evening
- 42:58before your exam, you're sitting and thinking, "Okay," trying to remember
- 43:01everything, and when your exam is done, you forget everything right away because
- 43:05sh- yeah, you never use it again.
- 43:09Mm-hmm.
- 43:09So that's, that's, I think, I think for the, it would be,
- 43:13beneficial for very often public schools
- 43:16to look at the private schools, like Waldorf schools,
- 43:21and see, hey,
- 43:23even though they,
- 43:25they say
- 43:27their educational system is, like, already over 100 years
- 43:30old, it doesn't matter. There's still a lot
- 43:33to, to learn from it and the way they teach chi-
- 43:37children. And at the school my kids went
- 43:40to, they got problem kids from the public schools. Ki- ...
- 43:44Oh, this kid has a problem, you know?
- 43:47The kid didn't have a problem. That kid had a problem with the system, the
- 43:51school system, the public school, because the moment they started at the, at the
- 43:55Waldorf school,
- 43:56that wasn't, that wasn't a problem kid at all.
- 43:59Mm.
- 43:59It was the most fun kid to hang out with, right?
- 44:02And just because the system is different around them.
- 44:06Mm.
- 44:06Mm.
- 44:07Understand very good, very clearly. Yeah.
- 44:10Mm-hmm.
- 44:11But that's a topic for another
- 44:14another-
- 44:15It's true
- 44:15... episode maybe. Yeah.
- 44:17We could-
- 44:17So
- 44:17... continue probably many hours more.
- 44:20Oh, yeah. Uh-
- 44:22Okay
- 44:22... I would like to wrap, to wrap it up because, and though we, we did an
- 44:26exercise with our listeners to stay focused-
- 44:29Uh-huh
- 44:29... I don't expect them to stay focused for over an hour,
- 44:32so.
- 44:34I understand. I'm sur-
- 44:36No, this is, this is ... Yeah, go ahead.
- 44:39I'm surprised to hear that you have in Norway, Waldorf
- 44:42schools.
- 44:43Yeah.
- 44:43Basically, we have them also here in Germany, and I'm really
- 44:47surprised to hear that you also have them.
- 44:50That probably you are adop- adopted the system or the, yeah, the
- 44:54schools itself. Yeah.
- 44:56They're, they're all over Europe.
- 44:57Uh-
- 44:58Okay.
- 44:59Yeah, many countries have them.
- 45:00Mm-hmm.
- 45:01So, for those that are in Europe and listening in, if you're, if you have kids
- 45:04that are, and you're planning to send them to school,
- 45:08try, try to see if you have a Waldorf-type school or a
- 45:12Steiner school, Rudolf Steiner school in your area.
- 45:15Mm-hmm.
- 45:16And, and, go and visit them and, and learn,
- 45:20maybe something
- 45:22that, your kids can benefit from. It's not for everybody.
- 45:25I mean, and that's the beautiful thing, that we have private schools and different
- 45:28education systems.
- 45:30Yeah.
- 45:30There's always, there's always a, a fit for something.
- 45:33But I always want to, want
- 45:37to say to people, don't always go with what everybody else do.
- 45:41Think for yourself and listen to your heart what feels
- 45:45good when you are exploring, right?
- 45:48It's true.
- 45:48Okay. Uh, Christina, thank you so much for this
- 45:52conversation.
- 45:53Mm-hmm.
- 45:54Uh, learned so much, and, I want to know,
- 45:58the websites and links to especially,
- 46:02your project in Uganda.
- 46:04Mm-hmm.
- 46:04How can, how can our listeners and viewers contribute to that and, and
- 46:08follow along with it, help out with it?
- 46:10But I guess you take donations as well.
- 46:13Uh, haven't talked about that, but I guess you, you, you take
- 46:17donations and everything like that as well.
- 46:19And of course,
- 46:21the, the, the, the rest of the organization, w- A Way to
- 46:24Life.
- 46:26Mm-hmm.
- 46:26Uh, would love to, to get more information on that so I can put it in the
- 46:29description underneath this, this podcast and
- 46:32video.
- 46:33Mm.
- 46:33Okay.
- 46:35Yeah. Thank you so much, yeah, for being a part today.
- 46:38Uh-
