- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning. Welcome to the Just For Today podcast. My name is Cindy Marlar, and I love getting to spend a couple minutes with you every single day, just doing our thing, just doing things just for today. So, just for today, there is a motto I learned from my longtime business coach, Mike Ferry. He is an incredible, incredible business coach in the real estate world. I encourage you to look him up and get to his website, especially if you're in sales or real estate. But Mike Very used to say we start on time and we end on time at his conferences. And that really resonated with me all of the years I spent with him. And I have adopted that in my professional life and in my businesses. And I say we start on time and we end on time. And what I love about that is it's not just about being a stickler or being, you know, so tight and regimented. It's about respecting the existence of time. The existence of time, that time exists and it's a resource and it's fleeting and it goes. So when you start on time and when you end on time, it has this magical component of you respecting this invisible thing called time. And the more you respect this invisible thing called time, the more it respects you. It's fascinating. So today I want you to start on time and end on time. What does that mean? Well, it means that if you work until 315, I want you to leave work at 315. If you work until 5 30, I want you to leave at 5 30. If you're supposed to leave the house at 645 to be on time for work, I want you to leave the house at 645. Today I want you to start on time and I want you to end on time. Do you even know how long it takes you to take a shower? Maybe you don't. Set a stopwatch and know my shower takes 10 minutes so that in the future you could start on time and end on time. Time is something worth. studying. So today we start on time and we end on time and it'll be two minutes now.
