- 4:05SPEAKER_01: We're part of the same team.
- 4:06SPEAKER_01: So if you're part of our team, you get Neil, you get me as as partners.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: It's kind of cool.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: But uh this is this is just a really impactful episode.

- 4:59SPEAKER_01: This is a group that you need to be a part of.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: Rather than dropping 10 grand or 30 grand or more on a mastermind to be around agents who are going to better you and uh pull you forward, you can just join the society.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Much more cost effective and equally, if not more so, powerful.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: This is a group you need to be a part of.
- 5:20SPEAKER_01: If you are a longtime listener of the show, if you are a fan of this show, if you like the way I train, if you like the way that I deliver information and teach, this is this is an extension of that.

- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Um, and lastly, I'm actually giving away a uh a free membership for a whole year to the Massive Agent Society.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: I am giving away a free month of one-on-one private coaching, which is three thousand bucks, uh giving that away for free, and a Zoom training with my mentor, Clayton Gitz, that sells 800 homes a year, 40 or no, he has like 50 agents and staff now.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: I can't keep track anymore.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: Uh, but he works two hours a month.
- 6:15SPEAKER_01: He's built an actual real estate business that spits off seven figures in income, and he is one of he's one of the the greatest mentors I've ever had, and he's gonna be on this Zoom training we're gonna do.
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: My good friend Phil Treadwell is gonna be on this call as well.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: He's had an incredible physical and mental transformation himself.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: He's gonna be part of this call.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Um, and I'm giving all this away because I need your help to raise a hundred thousand dollars for LLS, the lymphoma.
- 6:45SPEAKER_01: God, I should probably make sure I get this right.
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: The the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society I have teamed up with to raise a hundred thousand dollars.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: That's that's a goal that I set.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: That's that's a bar that I set.
- 6:55SPEAKER_01: I'm it scares the shit out of me because it seems so it's such a high bar.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: But I know that I know the caliber of you, the people, the agents who listen to the show, I need your help.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: I need your donation.
- 7:09SPEAKER_01: I need you to please contribute uh as much as you possibly can.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: Maybe that's$20, maybe it's$2,000.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: I don't know what that is.
- 7:16SPEAKER_01: But I ask you to please help me to raise money for this amazing organization because they are funding the research to end childhood blood cancer, leukemia, lymphoma.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: If you've ever had someone you've that you're close to or know someone who's had a type of blood cancer, incredibly tough.
- 7:35SPEAKER_01: And for kids, a lot of the kids that pass away from blood cancer do so because of how harsh the treatment is.
- 7:43SPEAKER_01: They don't have treatments for kids.
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: There is no treatment for kids.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: So they're giving adult doses, adult treatment to kids, and that is that's what's killing them.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Uh not all of them, but you know, it it's a problem.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: And only 4% of the budget from the National Cancer Institute is devoted to finding a cure for childhood blood cancer.
- 8:05SPEAKER_01: That's where we're stepping in.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: I heard that and it freaking pissed me off.
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: It just pissed me off.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: I am the father of two young kids that I love very, very much.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Uh I cannot imagine.

- 11:28SPEAKER_01: You had sold your house, sold all your shit, and and were living a pretty cool lifestyle, and so much has changed since then.
- 11:34SPEAKER_01: So uh, and you've done some pretty big upgrades, if you will, uh, on yourself since you've been on the show last.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: So, Neil Methwig, one of my favorite people in real estate, one of my favorite people on the planet.
- 11:48SPEAKER_01: Welcome back to the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 11:50unknown: Welcome back to the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's so great to be here, my friend.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: Thank you for having me.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: And boy, has things ever changed.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: And I I can't wait to share it all today.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: And the things that have changed in my life, I think are going to be an impact for those that are listening today.
- 12:04SPEAKER_00: Agree a thousand percent.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: You posted on Facebook earlier today some photos.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: One of them was from August 2021, and one of them was from just now, right?
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: You've lost a hundred pounds.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: You've lost a hundred pounds.
- 12:21SPEAKER_01: And without dieting, is that right?
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, yes.
- 12:25SPEAKER_00: See, see, I so I've lost I've lost a hundred pounds before.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: I've in fact I've done it two, three different times in my life.
- 12:31SPEAKER_00: I think this is my fourth time I've done it.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: But are you serious?
- 12:34SPEAKER_00: But here's the thing.
- 12:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: And because I because I because I've always had that that self-determination, right?
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: I always realized that there was something that I needed to like this isn't good, right?
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Like I I know, I know this isn't good.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I look in the mirror and I see it.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: I know this isn't good, right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_00: And in and and the weight that I was getting to almost 400 pounds.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: And and here's the thing is is all the other times that I lost weight, I did it by subscribing to a diet.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: I did it by uh, you know, grabbing a hold of Weight Watchers or Atkins or, you know, whatever the trend was, right?
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: Or keto or whatever it was, right?
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I would grab a hold of that diet, I would grab a hold of a trainer, and I would, I would force myself into it, right?
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: And I would just do everything that I could um to to I I gotta I gotta do this.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: And it would annoy me when people would say it's a lifestyle change.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: I'm like, no, it's not, it's a diet.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: I don't care how you say it, it's a diet.
- 13:25SPEAKER_00: And I hated dieting and I hated it.
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: And and so it got to this place too in my life where I hated it so much and talking about it so much, it just drove me crazy because I had I I'd done it all.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: Oh, you gotta try this, you gotta do this, you gotta do that, right?
- 13:39SPEAKER_00: I tried it all.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: And it and it I would lose the weight, it would always work, but then I'd always gain it back.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: And it was just a constant battle in my life.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: So it was it was in January of 20, let's see, January of 2022.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: I I just was I I had this thought of I was studying confirmation biases.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: And what this is, is just whenever you uh whenever you you have a bias around something, you're gonna do everything you can to confirm that bias.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And that's what I was doing with my weight.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: I I I I I I looked back on it and I thought every time uh like I just believed that I was big boned.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: I believed that, you know, some people in my family are big, therefore I'm gonna be big.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: I believe that I lost weight before and I gained it back.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: Somebody told me that I had a thyroid issue.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: I had all these limiting beliefs, I had all these things that that were standing in my way to make me believe that I couldn't lose weight.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: And I was I was trapped in there.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: That that was the bias that I kept confirming.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: And I said, well, what if I were to change that bias?
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: What if I were to look at this a little bit differently?
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: What would that look like if I were to if I were to change that?
- 14:42SPEAKER_00: And and so then I started writing down, I just asked myself the simple question, what do healthy people do?
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: What do healthy people do?
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: And I just started writing down all of the attributes that I that I've seen in my life or I see when I think of a healthy person.
- 14:57SPEAKER_00: And I and I and I was at the time I was in the RV park and I was just sitting around, I was thinking about healthy people.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: And Brandon and Melissa is a couple that were right next to me in the RV park, and they're very, very healthy, outgoing.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: So I just started thinking about what do they do?
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: And I noticed that they're always carrying water bottles with them and they always got their Fitbit on, and they're keeping track of their steps, and they're either jogging or running or lifting weights, and they're always moving.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: And one night, one thing really stood out at me.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: We were sitting around a campfire and it was eight o'clock, and he looked at his watch and he goes, Oh, it's bedtime, gotta go to bed.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, bro, it's eight o'clock.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: You're what?
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: What you just woke up from a nap, right?
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I'm like, we're just getting started.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: But that's what healthy people do, right?
- 15:41SPEAKER_00: He has a he has a bedtime, he doesn't need in a morning alarm because he sets a dead a bedtime alarm.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: And that's what healthy people do.
- 15:48SPEAKER_00: He cherishes his sleep, he knows the sleep is important.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: So again, I just started coming up with a list of all the things that I think healthy people do.
- 15:56SPEAKER_00: And, you know, some of them have beliefs in themselves, whatever, but but I come up with this list of all the things that healthy people do.
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: And then I just started saying, I'm gonna be what I want to become.
- 16:07SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna be who I want to become.
- 16:08SPEAKER_00: I want to be a healthy person, I'm gonna start being a healthy person.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: And I started everything that I do, I everything I look at.
- 16:14SPEAKER_00: Is this what healthy people do?
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Yep, healthy people do it.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: That's what I do.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: I noticed that healthy people eat small portions.
- 16:19SPEAKER_00: I noticed healthy people, they don't go to a restaurant and just pig out.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: They they they select healthy foods, they think about it, they ask questions.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: They are always asking the server questions.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: Does the food have this in it?
- 16:31SPEAKER_00: How is this made?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: They're they're caught, they're they're thinking about it, right?
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: And so I'm like, how can I do what healthy people do?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So I'm not on a diet.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: I don't diet, I just do what healthy people do.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Every time I sit down at a for a meal, I think about it.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: What does a healthy person do?
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: And I must say it a hundred times a day now.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: What does a healthy person do?
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: Because in order for me to be who I want to become, I got I gotta start being healthy.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: And and and you can take this and you can go into uh being healthy.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And that's why I say this works for business as well, right?
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Being who you want to become.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: If you want to be more of a confident person, think about think about that confident person that you really know.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: What are the attributes?
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: What do you really respect about them?
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: What are the how do they how do they function?
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: When they have when they have something tragic going on in their life, how do they how do they respond?
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: When they when they are met with adversity, how do they respond?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: Like what is it?
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: How do they function?
- 17:26SPEAKER_00: And just become aware of that and start writing all that down.
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: And the best thing with all of this, and and this is this is you know one of the things we're gonna do at the Agent Rice Summit, is is when you do this in a group setting and you have a list of of everybody's opinion, when they think of let's say a confident person and you got everybody piling ideas onto that, you come up with the recipe of who you need to start becoming.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Now, now the challenge with it though, that becomes is then is then how do I how do I do that?
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Now that sounds really too simple, right?
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Like that's too simple.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: That's the thing, is it is really simple.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: And you just simply just ask yourself, right?
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: I just start being who I want to become.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: And you you might have to get out of your comfort zone a little bit too, you know?
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: Of course.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Oh, of course.
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: I think when people hear simple, they they equate that with easy.
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: It's not necessarily easy, at least in the moment it may not be.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: Overall, some of these actions that you talked about probably become easy, but they're simple.
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: It it's really free.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Losing weight is simple.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: You burn more calories than you consume.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 18:34SPEAKER_01: Like that's how you burn fat.
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Now, there's a trillion different ways to go about that, but there doesn't have to be, right?
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: And and same with business.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: I love how you how you thought about your neighbors who are super fit, and you're like, what would they do in this situation?
- 18:50SPEAKER_01: This is so timely, Neil, because in in the society calls, the last couple weeks we've talked about asking yourself a question in business settings, what would the CEO do?
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: Because so many agents want to have a business, yet they are owning their own jobs.
- 19:07SPEAKER_01: They're running around like the employee within their own company, and they don't have a business.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And if you're by the way, if you're listening and you don't know if you have a business or not, think of it this way: if you removed yourself from your business for a month, what would happen?
- 19:23SPEAKER_01: Would it continue chugging along and closings would happen and revenue would would be created, or would everything just fall apart?
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: That's how you know if you have a business or not.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: So what would a CEO do?
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: You know, what what would a healthy person do?
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: What would a confident person do?
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: I love that, man.
- 19:41SPEAKER_01: And and so just by making that simple shift, which has taken some, you know, I'm sure there's been some uncomfortable moments, some hard decisions.
- 19:51SPEAKER_01: Maybe you're hungry and you're like, fuck, I r I really want to eat, but I know that I shouldn't in this situation.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: So you're making a a it's one of those decisions, right?
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: The slight edge.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: Easy to do, easy not to do.
- 20:05SPEAKER_01: And it's just it's discipline, it's willpower.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: How much of this is driven by desire?
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: How what where does desire factor into this?
- 20:13SPEAKER_01: Because discipline's not everything, right?
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: If you if you don't have a desire to be a certain way or to do a certain thing or to reach a certain level, you're never gonna freaking get there.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: So talk about your desire and how you've wired that.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you gotta you you gotta have that desire and you gotta have that that being who you want to become, and you gotta see that.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And I think well, uh like I'll get to a point here in a second around the desire, but real quick, I think one thing that leads to it is when you uh it was the moment for me I was at a gas station.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: I was driving up to Kentucky for the real estate distilled conference, and healthy people fast, right?
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: So I'm fasting in the morning, and now I'm on the road for seven hours and I'm getting hungry.
- 20:53SPEAKER_00: It's like three, four o'clock in the afternoon, and I'm like, okay, enough of this fasting.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm hungry, right?
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: And I'm now I'm at a gas station filling up the cuck, the truck, and I'm in the in the in the convenience store now looking for what something healthy, right?
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: What would healthy people eat?
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: And so I'm in the gas station and I'm starving, right?
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: I haven't eaten all day and I'm like, what do healthy people eat?
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: And as I'm looking, this big burly guy with like greasy overalls and just just the big massive guy with a 64-ounce big gulp comes walking by me with whatever was in his cup, you know, sugar, water, whatever it was.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: And he comes walking by me, and that's when it dawned on me.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Healthy people don't eat at gas stations.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: And I just said it.
- 21:33SPEAKER_00: I said it, I think I may have even said it out loud.
- 21:35SPEAKER_00: I'm like, healthy people don't eat here.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: I don't see any marathon runners in the in the snack aisle, or you know, I mean, healthy people don't eat here.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: And it dawned on me, and I and I that's when it I it snapped in, right?
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: So, so your desire becomes part of like who you're you're you're who you're designing, right?
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Who you know, like in what what we're teaching is is is you gotta design your new you, right?
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: Like who is the newest version of you and who are you stepping into?
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Into and you got to have that vision, and that's what leads with the desire.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: But but but but in order to get there, you got to dream with the lid off, right?
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Because you've got this vision, and but then you're gonna put this this upper limit on it, right?
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: And this self-sabotage.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: So step number two is to dream with the lid off, and then you got these limiting beliefs that are just gonna pull you down and pull you back.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: So you got to get rid of these limiting beliefs.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Well, how do you get rid of these limiting beliefs?
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Well, every belief that you have is attached to a past memory, and once you understand that, and once you see that every bit of behavior that you have, or uh when you when somebody when somebody says something to you and you get offended by it, or when you have a belief that just man, I just don't I just don't look at it the same way as them, and you have that belief, all of that is from a from a past memory.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: It's data that's been stored on your subconscious, and you can go back to that data and you can rewrite it, and that's the powerful thing.
- 22:55SPEAKER_00: So when you have that desire that we're talking about, right, and you got this and you and and and you know what you're where you want to go, but then there's all these beliefs that are preventing you from getting there, those are the beliefs that you got to rewire.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: And then once you get rid of those limiting beliefs, and and to to talk more about these limiting beliefs, too, a lot of people don't think that they can rewrite them.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: And and the and the the the amazing thing is is that you can.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: These past memories are only yours, you know, nobody else has access to them.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: You have all of the information, and you can go back to those memories and you can rewrite them, and you can you can go back to that memory that you know, let's just say it's the first time you were rejected, right?
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Like let's say, let's say, Dustin, let's say you're rejected on the playground.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: You know, you were 12 years old and you went up to this cute girl and you were excited and and you went up to her and said you like you liked her and she made fun of you and ran off, right?
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: And and that was the first time you were rejected, right?
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Now, you know, you still have that memory, right?
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: And that that memory still is there.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: You still remember that that time being rejected, but I bet you you haven't rewritten that.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: You haven't gone back and said, Dustin, 12 years old, man, don't worry about it.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: You're gonna go on, you're gonna meet the most amazing woman ever, you're gonna get married, you're gonna have two beautiful kids, you're gonna live with a white house, picket fence, whatever you want to say, right?
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Like you would rewrite that memory, wouldn't you?
- 24:16SPEAKER_00: And then that that you start to look at that rejection a little bit differently.
- 24:19SPEAKER_00: And and see, when you do this, when you go back and you rewrite these past memories, it unlocks you so that that desire just comes alive in you.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: And that's what happened for me.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: Like, I I'm I'm a guy that has struggled with weight loss weight his entire life.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: My entire life.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: I was I was the chubby kid, I was always the big boy, right?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: Like I went to the husky section, right?
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: I I lived in that life my entire life, it's all I know.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: So it's uncomfortable for me.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: So what I would do is I would cover it up with humor.
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: I would cover it like I can do a Chris Farley, right?
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: I I would just turn it into Chris Farley.
- 24:55SPEAKER_00: I'd be with the doctor, the best.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: There you go.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: Yes, yes.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: Yep, but see, I cover all that up.
- 25:01SPEAKER_00: I cover all those wounds up, right?
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: And and now I'm going back and I'm rewriting all of those.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: And instead of beating myself up, I'm building myself up.
- 25:11SPEAKER_00: And I'm looking, I'm looking, I'm looking at the the opportunities and I'm looking for areas that you know, like is this what healthy people do?
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: Is this what healthy people do?
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: And if healthy people do it, then I'm doing it, right?
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: Like I'm I'm there's so many things that I haven't done physically that I'm so excited to do.
- 25:27SPEAKER_00: I'm envisioning it and I'm I'm stepping, like I want to surf someday, I want to kay someday.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: I'm a little top heavy, so the kayaking has never worked for me.
- 25:35SPEAKER_00: I've never mountain bike when and I mean, Dustin, that time we were in Atlanta together, um, you guys climbed up a big hill.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: I didn't participate at all.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: Like all of those things, man.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: That's all things that have gotten in my way, and they're not getting in my way anymore.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Hell yeah, man.
- 25:49SPEAKER_01: And so yeah, uh we we hear all the time, you know, fake it till you make it.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: I think we have I think we interpret that all fucked up.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: So I I think what it really means is exactly what you're describing, right?
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Act as if, fake it till you make it.
- 26:06SPEAKER_01: So do the things that the type of person you want to become would do.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: That that's faking it till you make it.
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: But not just pretending or renting a Lambo and posting it on Instagram and saying, look, I'm successful.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: That's stupid.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: That's it's insane, actually.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: Um but what you're describing is faking it till you make it.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: It's acting as if.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: And it's not when I was starting in in uh on my personal development journey, I thought that just affirmations in the mirror would I I thought that was it.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: No, they're helpful.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: I'm not against saying positive things about yourself in the mirror saying, I am this, I am that, I am powerful, I am confident, I am wealthy, or whatever.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: But when you say things that are not currently true, you know, you know you're full of shit.
- 26:54SPEAKER_01: So part of it can also sabotage you a little bit because you're like, I'm lying to myself, I'm lying to myself.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Whereas it's not really it's not so much that you have to convince yourself you are that person, you just need to start doing the things that that person would do.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: If you want to be wealthy, what would a wealthy person do?
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: Right now, if you have$10,000 sitting in front of you, what would a wealthy person do with it?
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: When you when you ask yourself that questions like that, first off, your brain actually works instead of shutting down, right?
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: Like Rich Dad, poor dad taught me, when you say you can't afford it, that is the lazy way out.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: That just shuts off all thinking, and you're just like, oh, done.
- 27:38SPEAKER_01: Instead of instead of saying I can't afford it, you say, How can I afford it?
- 27:42SPEAKER_01: And that's when you start to think, and then you make shit happen.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: You spoke um earlier before we started recording, you we were talking about an event you went to that you in hindsight you couldn't really afford, but you did it anyways, right?
- 27:57SPEAKER_01: Um I've done that before too, more than once.
- 28:01SPEAKER_01: And it's that's just it's what's required, right?
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: When you have all these people that are successful saying you need to you need a coach, you need to get to events, you need to do this, you need to be healthy, you need to exercise.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: It's really not difficult to do those things when you you break it down to like the micro moments, the micro decisions.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: If you're looking at the entire journey, like and I'm really curious, how much of this respond to this however you want, but when you when you were like, hey, I need to lose weight or I want to become healthy, were you looking at like here's I need to drop 100 pounds?
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: Like that's the goal, or were you just like, let's take one decision at a time, compound it over time, and then eventually you got the results that you were seeking because the actions fueled them.
- 28:50SPEAKER_01: Is that kind of how it worked for you?
- 28:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, in in a way, really it started with be just because I realized the lie that I've been living.
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: I realized the the the confirmation bias, the biases that I've been confirming over and over and over about myself and just how much I believed that lie.
- 29:07SPEAKER_00: And like I really believed that I was meant to be big, that God designed me to be big, and that I was just a big, I was just gonna be big, and I was gonna accept that and and I was gonna I was just gonna be big.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: I I don't know why I accepted that in my brain, but I just got to the place where I was so tired and so exhausted that I I just had gotten there.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: And when I realized the lie, and I realized that I could get myself out of that prison just by changing my thoughts, just by looking at who I wanted to become and by being what I wanted to become.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: And I just started stepping into that.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: And I don't even know how I how I saw it, other than I just thought I saw the lie.
- 29:45SPEAKER_00: Like once you see the lie, you you you you want to go from it, right?
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: And so I went from the lie, but in order to run away from the lie, I had to remove the limiting beliefs, and that's where I had to go back and rewrite memories, and I had to go back to to reasons to why do I believe that about myself?
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: And what is it that I'm pushing up against?
- 30:05SPEAKER_00: And then once I started to unlock that, man, I was just unstoppable.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: And you really you do you do become unstoppable.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: And here's the thing is we control our thoughts.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: So we we sometimes think that thoughts get a hold of us, and and see right now in a challenging times like we're in right now, the challenges are getting really loud.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: And so it's really hard to focus on the opportunities.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: It's hard to focus on who you want to become when you got this whole mess over here that you're dealing with, right?
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: And it's hard to have that mindset of being what I want to become and seeing where I want to go and taking the risk.
- 30:37SPEAKER_00: We talked about, you know, about going to events and and taking the risk, right?
- 30:41SPEAKER_00: Like it's scary to jump out and go to that event, right?
- 30:45SPEAKER_00: And and and and and with that, you have all of these challenges that are so loud that you can't focus on the opportunities.
- 30:52SPEAKER_00: You can't see the opportunities.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: And so once you begin to turn your head away from the challenges and put your attention on the opportunities, and you can quiet your mind long enough to see the opportunities.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: That's the other thing.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: A lot of us, man, we got so much noise going on inside our heads.
- 31:09SPEAKER_00: We got so much stuff that we're worrying about.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: Real estate agents, it's the worst because you're always one step ahead of your client and you're always overthinking every every bit of scenarios, everything, right?
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And so you're always, you're never, you're never in this place where you feel like um like you're in control, you're always out of control, you're scattered all over the place.
- 31:29SPEAKER_00: So, how do you quiet your mind when that's going on, right?
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: And so once you begin to practice this, and this is where the affirmations come in, because you gotta you gotta say things that you've got to affirm, right?
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: That's what an affirmation is.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: So you got to believe it when you say it.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: And a lot of affirmations people don't believe right away, right?
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: That's why it hurts.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: That's why, because it's your subconscious, like this is bullshit.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: I'm broke.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Why am I saying that I'm rich?
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: I'm broke, right?
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And so the subconscious just overpowers you and takes over.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: Well, we got to rewrite that subconscious.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: We gotta, we gotta, we gotta rewrite that.
- 32:02SPEAKER_00: And so affirmations helps rewrite that.
- 32:05SPEAKER_00: But I think the best thing to rewrite it is to go back and and actually rewrite it.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: Go back to and talk to that 12-year-old boy and go back and and rewrite that memory and say, Man, you're fine, and build yourself up instead of beat yourself up.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 32:20SPEAKER_01: It so identifying root causes of limiting beliefs or beliefs that don't serve you, that's that's tricky, right?
- 32:30SPEAKER_01: Um something that I've learned through doing some of this work, or a technique that I've learned through doing some of this work is it once you once you catch yourself with saying something or thinking something that isn't serving you, a limiting belief or something else.
- 32:47SPEAKER_01: Well, they're all limiting.
- 32:48SPEAKER_01: If it doesn't serve you, it's limiting.
- 32:50SPEAKER_01: So you you ask, when did I decide that?
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: When did I decide that it's a struggle?
- 32:56SPEAKER_01: When did I decide that it was hard to be a real estate agent?
- 32:59SPEAKER_01: When did I decide that I could only sell three homes a month?
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: And when you ask, when did you decide, you you start to think, okay, what could be at the root of this?
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: The key is that people start instead of seeing their uh the limiting beliefs as the problems, you have to see that those are symptoms of a deeper problem, of a deeper belief, of a deeper story, of a deeper programming that could be from when you were four years old or ten years old or fourteen or whatever.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: They're symptoms.
- 33:30SPEAKER_01: Procrastination is not a problem, it is the symptom of a deeper one.
- 33:36SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 33:37SPEAKER_01: Oh, so good.
- 33:38SPEAKER_01: What else have you what else have you had to deal with, man?
- 33:41SPEAKER_01: Like through this journey, well, let's let's go here.
- 33:46SPEAKER_01: I imagine I'm going out on a limb, and you and I have not discussed this prior.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: I imagine your your income is now greater than it was a year ago or whatever when you had when you did not have these habits, when you did not have the discipline.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Is that true?
- 34:03SPEAKER_00: Yes, for sure.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: And I can tell you exactly how to.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Please do.
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: I can tell you exactly how, because it all comes down to focusing on opportunities instead of challenges.
- 34:13SPEAKER_00: And for the most of my life, and I and I'm gonna go back to the recession, all right.
- 34:18SPEAKER_00: 2007, 2008, my wife and I lost$264,000.
- 34:23SPEAKER_00: I leveraged to the hilt, and I had 11 properties, and all of them collapsed, and I had a downsize.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: I should have done short sales and foreclosures and all that and bankruptcy, and I didn't.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: I just sold it all and stacked all the debt up and agreed to pay$264,000 back plus interest over a long time.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: So we got this paid off, right?
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: So with all of this, the debt went away.
- 34:44SPEAKER_00: All of that went away.
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: But the the thing that didn't go away is the wound and the challenge from the recession.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: I kept myself in a prison for years over this.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: I didn't take any chances.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: I didn't, I didn't go on vacations, I didn't, I didn't live.
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: I lived in a prison trying to pay all this debt back.
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: And I had all these people watching me, right?
- 35:03SPEAKER_00: And I and I and I wanted to pay it all back.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: And it and it's exhausting.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: It's exhausting and it's traumatic.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: I didn't realize the trauma that the recession caused on me.
- 35:12SPEAKER_00: That I didn't realize all that.
- 35:14SPEAKER_00: So I went back and I started rewriting all of those, all of those memories and really digging myself out of that that junk that was there, right?
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: And and um and and with that, I started to realize that my all of my energy was going to my challenges and my income was gonna stay the same because I'm just I'm doing what I'm doing, but then I'm focusing on my challenges, right?
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm not I'm not focusing on opportunities, I'm not focusing on growth.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: I was too afraid of growth.
- 35:45SPEAKER_00: I didn't want to invest anymore, I didn't want to take any more risk.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: I was wounded, right?
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: So it it it and so when I began to unlock that, that's when I started to see that my my my thinking really has to has has everything to do with this.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: And if you're if you're somebody that like me that worries a lot, like you, you know, you just have these worry thoughts, and you just you you you just you know, then the day is over and you're replaying the day and you're just rethinking and you're thinking and you're thinking, um, the emotional guidance scale is what turned this around for me.
- 36:18SPEAKER_00: Because the emotional guidance scale is all the negative, it's got a list of negative emotions and a list of positive emotions.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: And what a lot of us do is our thoughts that fire together, wire together.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: So if we have this negative thought, now all of a sudden we got more negative thoughts and more negative thoughts.
- 36:33SPEAKER_00: And in order to turn that around, you have to quiet the mind and you have to balance out and get into neutral, and then you you go up positive and you start to think of positive things.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: And so, with all of this, if if you're in this spot, like the day-to-day, like like overall arching, you should think positively.
- 36:50SPEAKER_00: We all know that, right?
- 36:51SPEAKER_00: But how do we do that?
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: How do we do that in the individual moments?
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: And so what I started practicing, and I learned this from Joel Dispenza and a few others, is just your thoughts that fire together, wire together, right?
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: And so I thought, man, if I got a negative thought, I'm gonna have a negative thought, another negative thought, and another negative thought, and another negative thought.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: So I got to turn that around.
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: I gotta quiet my mind.
- 37:11SPEAKER_00: How do I quiet my mind?
- 37:12SPEAKER_00: That's why I tried to quiet my mind, I really couldn't do it.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: And then I found this Louise Hay affirmation.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: She's an old uh Luis Hay, she's amazing.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: If you haven't heard her, check her out.
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: She um she passed away when she was 93 years old and taught up to the day she died.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: She's just an amazing woman.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: Um, and Luise Hay has an affirmation that says, All is well, everything is working out for my greater good from this situation, only good is gonna come and I am safe.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: So, what I started practicing is when I have these, like these, these things thrown at me that would otherwise throw me off and give me all these negative thoughts, I said, How can I quiet my mind?
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: So I just started saying, All is well, everything is working out for my greater good from the situation, only good is gonna come.
- 37:52SPEAKER_00: And it quiets my mind.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: And I also realized that if I said the word thank you and isn't it wonderful, was a couple others that would quiet my mind.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: So I just sometimes say, thank you, isn't it wonderful?
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: And like I'm worried about something, you know, like whatever happened, what you know, something's going on, and I'm worried about it.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: If I quiet my mind, thank you, isn't it wonderful?
- 38:11SPEAKER_00: And see, the word thank you is that positive upflow, it's that positive, right?
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: So it's a it's in a positive gratitude, is one of the words in the positive flow in the emotional guidance scale.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: So if I can quiet my mind long enough to say thank you and think of gratitude and quiet my mind, think it and think it and think it, and all of a sudden I'm back in that positive flow.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: And when you're in that positive flow, you're unstoppable, you're unstoppable.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: And it's what every Tony Robbins, Mel Robbins, it's what they all teach it.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: They all teach the same thing.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: It's all the same exact thing.
- 38:41SPEAKER_00: And all it is, and it and it's free.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: This is free.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: Like you just gotta practice it.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: You gotta just practice it.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: But a lot of people that practice it can't quiet their mind long enough because their subconscious tells them it's silly.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: This doesn't work.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: You've tried this before and it doesn't work.
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: You're a fool, right?
- 38:57SPEAKER_00: And you beat yourself up instead of build yourself up, and then you're right back into the same routine.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: And they're doing the same shit with the same people, they're stuck in the same environment, you know?
- 39:06SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 39:07SPEAKER_01: Uh, right.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: I invest$30,000 a year to be part of a mastermind with people who are way ahead of me in the journey of business and finance.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: Way ahead.
- 39:17SPEAKER_01: There, there's a couple billionaires in there, and there's there's a handful of people worth hundreds of millions.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: And like I I'm one of the poorest people in the room, and I love it.
- 39:29SPEAKER_01: Because, well, here's why I thought of that too.
- 39:32SPEAKER_01: All the stuff you're talking about, if you're listening and you're thinking, we're kind of getting out there now, like this is getting a little woo-woo.
- 39:39SPEAKER_01: I promise you, the people that you're trying to be do this shit.
- 39:45SPEAKER_01: I also, when I was the most broke, when I was struggling the most, when I was the most unhappy, when I was filled with scarcity the most, when my relationships were the weakest, I was too worried about what I thought was cool.
- 40:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, I can't say that shit out loud to myself in the mirror because I'd feel weird.
- 40:06SPEAKER_01: That's you know, that's you're just worried about looking hokey or you know, whatever.
- 40:12SPEAKER_01: When I pay when I invest 30 grand a year to go to these masterminds, you know what these super wealthy people in the room are talking about?
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: This shit.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: This exact stuff, meditating, your ment your thoughts, what you think about all day long is what you become.
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Uh, yes, there's some strategy and some tactics and you know, uh, you know, talking shop, but the foundation they all understand that the foundation of any success that you want to have, any success that's possible, starts with your mind, starts with your thinking.
- 40:44SPEAKER_01: And and fitness is a big part of it too, which has to do with your thinking, of course.
- 40:50SPEAKER_01: Uh so it it's so important that as you are going down this journey, that you get around other people who are further ahead than you.
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: If you're stuck trying to do this by yourself and everyone around you in your environment, whether that's your family or your friends or your coworkers, your neighbors, whoever, if they are all not further ahead, they're like it's like crabs in a bucket.
- 41:14SPEAKER_01: Consciously or not, they're gonna pull you back to where they're at.
- 41:18SPEAKER_01: They just are.
- 41:19SPEAKER_01: So you have to put yourself in a better situation, whether that's joining a coaching group where you're around others, hiring a coach, going to masterminds, moving.
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: We we bought a house that uh really pushed some of my limiting beliefs.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: We bought we bought a house this last year, and the neighborhood we're in, the neighborhood before, not a great place.
- 41:41SPEAKER_01: Not a great place.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: The one we're in now, our neighbors have McLaren's and Lamborghinis and run businesses and make millions of dollars a year.
- 41:48SPEAKER_01: Um, and it's not just about the material things, they are present with their kids, they are doing cool shit.
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: They when when when I'm out there talking to the neighbors, we're talking about like productive stuff like exercise, nutrition.
- 42:06SPEAKER_01: Um these are the types of conversations that I now have with my neighbors.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: Do you think that that's gonna benefit me financially?
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: Well, guess what?
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: Since I since I basically I bought a million-dollar house um when I didn't think that I could do that, my income has gone up dramatically because of the environment and because of the investment, because of the uh if you want to kill scarcity, make a large investment that you know is gonna benefit you.
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: That kills scarcity pretty quick, but it stretches you, right?
- 42:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and the feeling of wealth produces wealth, right?
- 42:40SPEAKER_00: Yes, the feeling of wealth produces wealth.
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: So you're in you're just gonna produce more and more because you're focused on it, right?
- 42:46SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's where your attention is, and and that's what expands.
- 42:49SPEAKER_00: So it just keeps going that way.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: And if you want more challenges, then just keep focusing on your challenges, you'll get more challenges.
- 42:56SPEAKER_00: You're only magnifying your misery, right?
- 42:58SPEAKER_00: So just keep focusing on your challenges, you're gonna get more of them.
- 43:02SPEAKER_00: And and I and I know so, Neil, I'm I'm I'm not supposed to focus on my challenges.
- 43:06SPEAKER_00: Well, focus on what you can control and then let the rest of it go.
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: And and that's what most of us don't do.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: We focus on what we control and then we focus on everything else that we think we can control, and it doesn't lead us to anywhere other than focusing on the problem for way too long.
- 43:21SPEAKER_00: Shift your attention away from that as quick as you possibly can and get it back on the opportunities, and that's what wealthy people do.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: Yes, wealthy, successful, healthy, happy people are in control, they take responsibility and they're in control.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: So just the other night, like this is something that I'm I'm consciously aware of, right?
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: The other night, my wife and I started watching a new show.
- 43:46SPEAKER_01: We're watching The Last of Us on HBO, this end of the world shit, where like this pandemic ends uh like destroys the world.
- 43:53SPEAKER_01: Um, and the beginning of it is one of those like collapse of society scenes.
- 44:00SPEAKER_01: That shit makes me so anxious.
- 44:01SPEAKER_01: First off, because I think it's just I know that how feasible that that is, that that could happen, and it would probably look like that.
- 44:08SPEAKER_01: It gives me anxiety.
- 44:10SPEAKER_01: And part of that is I know that I'm not as prepared as I should be if something like that were to happen.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: So, you know, that is manifesting.
- 44:16SPEAKER_01: So what did I do?
- 44:17SPEAKER_01: Instead of just like, well, let's just keep watching, I turned it off.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: I turned it off.
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: Which went and did something else that was positive that got me back on track.
- 44:27SPEAKER_01: Otherwise, I would just continue to spiral into this anxiety and worst case scenario and bullshit.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Uh so but I consciously noticed what was happening and removed myself from it.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: Talk about some situations where over the last year or so, during this journey of yours, where you caught yourself doing something that was not serving you and then corrected it.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is so good too, because you know, our I learned this from Gay Hendricks from the book The Big Leap.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: And he talks about um how how we think we have our our thoughts have a control on us, but we have a control on our thoughts, right?
- 45:05SPEAKER_00: So somebody that struggles with uh anxiety or worry, they'll just say, Oh, I just can't stop thinking about this.
- 45:10SPEAKER_00: And it it just it has a hold of me.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: Well, the truth is, is you have a hold on it.
- 45:16SPEAKER_00: And if I were to bounce a tennis ball to you and you were to grab a hold of that tennis ball, Dustin, you could hold that tennis ball or you could bounce it right back to me, right?
- 45:24SPEAKER_00: And that's tennis ball represents our thoughts.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: So when you have a thought, you could sit and hold on to it all you want and think about it more and more and more, or you can release it.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: And so that's what I look at my thoughts now.
- 45:36SPEAKER_00: When I have a when I have a negative thought, and I call we call it no stinking thinking, right?
- 45:39SPEAKER_00: So I don't want any stinking thinking.
- 45:41SPEAKER_00: So I have this thought that comes at me, and I'm like, that's a negative thought because that negative thought's gonna wire into another negative thought.
- 45:48SPEAKER_00: And the next thing you know, I'm down in the spiral.
- 45:50SPEAKER_00: I'm down in the negative, I'm out of the zone, I've clicked out, I'm negative, I'm stinking, thinking, nothing's working, everything's frustrating.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: If my wife says something to me wrong, I'm gonna fight with her, like you know, like right, like it's this, it's this nonstop.
- 46:03SPEAKER_00: So if you can click out of that and and you can get back into the positive zone, what when that when that when that happens, like you're you're um, you're able to like you realize how in control of your thoughts you are.
- 46:17SPEAKER_00: You you realize it.
- 46:19SPEAKER_00: And these thoughts don't have a hold of you anymore.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: And then and then and then you can click out and you can change these thoughts.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: And and I never realized that before.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: I thought I had an anxiety issue, I thought I had problems, I thought, I thought these negative issues, these negative thoughts that I have going through my head, these are mine.
- 46:35SPEAKER_00: You know, I got these wounds, I got these things that happened to me.
- 46:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're gonna have these thoughts from all of that, right?
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: And I didn't realize that I could just release them, that I could say goodbye to them, that I and and in the moment, in the moment, right?
- 46:47SPEAKER_00: Like in when I'm alone and I and it's just me and my thoughts, what am I doing with my thoughts?
- 46:52SPEAKER_00: See, and if you go to if you're bored, the first negative emotion on the emotional guidance scale is boredom.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: So if you're bored, if you're just sitting there in the end of the day and you're bored and you pick up your phone, uh that's the one thing I do when I'm bored.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: I pick up my phone and I start scrolling social media.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: Well, do you think being bored, that's gonna pull you into the negative?
- 47:12SPEAKER_00: And then when you come out of social media, I know for me, I usually come out feeling defeated, feeling that I'm not enough.
- 47:17SPEAKER_00: I didn't do enough, right?
- 47:19SPEAKER_00: So now I'm bored and now I'm full of shame and full of guilt and full of all these, you know, I'm just beating myself up, right?
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: And then a lot of us do this right before we go to bed.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: So we're just pulling ourselves down into the negative, and it's all a distraction.
- 47:33SPEAKER_00: And the world wants us to be distracted, right?
- 47:36SPEAKER_00: Like they they want us to be distracted, so so that we can't work on ourselves, that we can't better ourselves.
- 47:41SPEAKER_00: They want us to part of the system, right?
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: So, so get out of that, change that.
- 47:45SPEAKER_00: I love how you just turn that show off, right?
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: I don't need this.
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: What am I feeding my brain with?
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: I don't need it.
- 47:51SPEAKER_00: Just like you choose not to eat the pizza, it's the same way.
- 47:54SPEAKER_00: What are you putting in your head?
- 47:56SPEAKER_00: And that's gonna live on in your head and program your subconscious brain.
- 48:00SPEAKER_00: So be aware of it.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: Like I have completely pulled off of social media as much as I possibly can with still being in business, but I'm not a consumer anymore.
- 48:09SPEAKER_00: I've gotten away from that.
- 48:10SPEAKER_00: I I I've pulled back.
- 48:11SPEAKER_00: I used to be a huge baseball fan and watch every baseball game.
- 48:15SPEAKER_00: I didn't, I forgot opening day was the other day.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: Like I completely don't even care anymore.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Um, I you know, and and uh like some of the other crazy things is I don't drink coffee anymore because healthy people drink water first in the morning.
- 48:27SPEAKER_00: They don't drink coffee, and I used to drink coffee the first thing, and I'm like, healthy people don't do this.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: What am I doing?
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: I need to drink co I need to drink water, and then I started drinking water.
- 48:35SPEAKER_00: That coffee just didn't even sound good to me anymore.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: So I stopped drinking coffee just by doing what healthy people do, right?
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: So a lot of this, you got to change your beliefs, change your thoughts, change your uh just there's just so much that you can rewrite, and you're in control of it all.
- 48:50SPEAKER_01: You really are.
- 48:51SPEAKER_01: What's crazy to me, here's what I've seen happen in my life.
- 48:54SPEAKER_01: Once you take control and you take responsibility, you start to attract certain information that serves you, right?
- 49:02SPEAKER_01: You you attract things that serve you instead of the opposite.
- 49:05SPEAKER_01: So part of like you know, anxiety and stress and all that, part of it is uh physiological, right?
- 49:13SPEAKER_01: Some of it is um certain deficiencies of raw materials in our bodies, um, certain gene mutations.
- 49:21SPEAKER_01: I didn't know any of this shit until I started to consciously want to learn this stuff.
- 49:27SPEAKER_01: And one of the things I put myself in the room at the build conference uh was that last summer with Tony Robbins and Gary Breca from 10X Health, and I learned about gene mutations and how 40% of the population has a gene mutation that makes uh that makes you unable to process uh folic acid.
- 49:46SPEAKER_01: And there's folic acid and pretty much all non-organic crap.
- 49:51SPEAKER_01: And uh that can cause brain fog, it can cause ADHD, it can cause anxiety, it can cause all this stuff, right?
- 49:59SPEAKER_01: And so I'm like, huh.
- 50:02SPEAKER_01: Blood test.
- 50:03SPEAKER_01: I should probably find this out.
- 50:04SPEAKER_01: So I invested, it was like 600 bucks, had this blood test done, found out I have all these genetic mutations, and to solve that genetic break, it's like a$20 a month supplement from Amazon called methylfolate.
- 50:18SPEAKER_01: And I cannot tell you how different I feel just by having come across that.
- 50:26SPEAKER_01: Like I invested to go to a business conference, I learned about genetic mutations, I invest in a blood test.
- 50:32SPEAKER_01: I now know that my kids have at least half of that, and my wife she's had a blood test as well, so like we know the kids need methyl folate, so that their vitamins have that now.
- 50:42SPEAKER_01: My son used to be super like all over the place, and now he's much more focused, uh, just because of a vitamin, and you attract that stuff, right?
- 50:51SPEAKER_01: Uh I um viome.
- 50:53SPEAKER_01: I take these monthly supplements through Viome that um like probiotics and all this stuff that I used to not really think about.
- 51:02SPEAKER_01: And what you just when you decide and you take responsibility, I just want to be healthy, I want to be optimized, I want to be functioning at my highest and best self.
- 51:14SPEAKER_01: So now I look for and I attract different things that can help me.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: So it's not all I'm just gonna convince myself, like no, you you start the journey and then you attract information and people and resources, and you're like, oh my gosh, this blood test and this thing and these vitamins and these supplements.
- 51:30SPEAKER_01: And pretty soon you're just a completely different person.
- 51:34SPEAKER_01: You're you're an upgraded version of yourself.
- 51:36SPEAKER_01: So that works in business as well.
- 51:39SPEAKER_01: You decide that you're gonna take responsibility for where you're at financially, and you start to attract the right people, you start to attract the right clients, the right information.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: That's just how it works.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's so true.
- 51:52SPEAKER_00: And I've I've seen this too.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: I've just seen this in like all of the agents that I've coached.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: I I just completed my 10,000 hour of coaching one-on-one.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
- 52:01SPEAKER_00: I know that's I know it sounds crazy.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: It's a lot, but I know.
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: But in that, I I I get to see the agents that break through, right?
- 52:10SPEAKER_00: And I see the agents, I if I get them a clear plan that's congruent to them and then help them stay consistent, that's a that's the biggest part of it.
- 52:17SPEAKER_00: Or that's that's a big part of it.
- 52:19SPEAKER_00: But the biggest part of it is their mindset.
- 52:22SPEAKER_00: If I can keep them in a positive flow where they're constantly looking for the opportunities and and they're constantly on the front and they're not focusing on their challenges and they're looking for the opportunities, I I get them to break through.
- 52:34SPEAKER_00: And then if I can get them to quiet their mind and control their thoughts, I can get them even to break through even more.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: And the and what I kept constantly would see is the agents that not only have a clear plan that's congruent to them and they stay consistent, but the agents that have the mindset to constantly be looking for the opportunities and staying away from the challenges.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: Like they have challenges.
- 52:56SPEAKER_00: When they when the challenges come, they address the challenge, they do what they need to do, and then they move on.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: And they stay in that positive flow and they don't overthink.
- 53:04SPEAKER_00: That's our biggest problem as agents, is we got so many things to think about, and we overthink all the time, and we drive ourselves crazy.
- 53:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:13SPEAKER_01: Uh and it can be a complex business, right?
- 53:17SPEAKER_01: But this is another reason why it makes I think it makes a lot of sense to start acting like a business owner and make business decisions rather than trying to do literally everything your damn self.
- 53:29SPEAKER_01: But dude, I didn't I didn't know that I could do it any other way until I started to be around people who did.
- 53:36SPEAKER_01: Simple as that.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 53:38SPEAKER_01: Um, and I yeah, I know that so I believe going to events has helped me a lot.
- 53:43SPEAKER_01: Networking with other agents helped me a lot.
- 53:45SPEAKER_01: Every time I go to a like a live in-person mastermind training, whatever, it's it's just so beneficial in so many ways.
- 53:56SPEAKER_01: The ROI is infinite, and I I I wish more agents would do that stuff.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: Like the anyone who's listening, if they've been listening this deep into the podcast, they're obviously committed to growth.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: This is not ent this is not super entertaining stuff here, at least not this episode.
- 54:16SPEAKER_01: It's it's wildly beneficial.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: So anyone who's still listening is obviously committed to growth, but their actions also are only they're coming up short, right?
- 54:28SPEAKER_01: So, Neil, you've actually I because you've been going through this journey, I know that you've been working on a way to facilitate this kind of growth, to facilitate this work for other agents.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: And when you first told me about your agent rise summit, I I was like, yes, because look, I would have no matter what you're doing, I'm in.
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: You can always count on me to speak, you can always count on me to be there and support, no matter what.
- 54:53SPEAKER_01: But when you told me that this is not just like uh, hey, you should post on social, hey, it's a good idea to do video, hey, here's you know, some more tactics, and it was like we'd be working, we'd be doing some deep work, like reprogramming thoughts.
- 55:08SPEAKER_01: It that really spoke to me because I know how powerful that's been for me, and I want more of it, and I know that that's the missing piece for so many agents.
- 55:17SPEAKER_01: And so talk about Agent Rice Summit and how anyone who's in that room, how are they gonna change?
- 55:24SPEAKER_01: What what what's gonna happen as a result of coming to Fort Myers, Florida in May?
- 55:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll uh the the vision that I had with it is that when you go to a conference, you know, the the speakers are up on the stage and they give you all the amazing great advice and you know they they tell you all the things that you should be doing, and you write down this huge list of all the things you should be doing, and then you go home and you shit all over yourself, right?
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: And you don't get them done because you don't really have a clear plan.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: And and I thought, what if the conference focuses on you instead of you focusing on the conference?
- 55:57SPEAKER_00: And what if the conference helps you develop that clear plan that's congruent to you, that feels right, it's it's your plan.
- 56:04SPEAKER_00: Like I'm excited about this plan, and then shows you the steps to actually be able to go do that.
- 56:10SPEAKER_00: And if we just work on our businesses and not work on our minds, then we're gonna be lopsided because I can teach people how to crush it in this business all day long.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: And a lot of them, if I if I did that and I didn't work on their mind, they're gonna they're gonna be burnt out in no time.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: And they're not gonna build a business that they love.
- 56:26SPEAKER_00: And my whole thing is to help agents build a business that they love.
- 56:30SPEAKER_00: And I think in order to do that, you've got to be well in the mind.
- 56:33SPEAKER_00: You've got to have a peace of mind about you because when you have peace of mind, you have peace in your heart, your peace in your business, peace in your relationships, your your family, everything changes.
- 56:44SPEAKER_00: And and you mentioned earlier too that you know they're present with their kids.
- 56:49SPEAKER_00: That's peace of mind.
- 56:50SPEAKER_00: That's peace of mind.
- 56:52SPEAKER_00: You've got to find that, you've got to have peace of mind.
- 56:54SPEAKER_00: And so, so I'm gonna really focus on this summit.
- 56:57SPEAKER_00: Is my my heart is behind this is to help agents, you know, dream with the lid off so that they can they can just dream with the lid off.
- 57:06SPEAKER_00: Like, what is it that that that like for me, like the biggest thing with dreaming the lid off is according to what I want it, what what my life, what what's the new you?
- 57:15SPEAKER_00: Who do I want to be?
- 57:16SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of us are dreaming according to false ideals.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: But if you start to dream, like Louise Hicks calls it her inner ding.
- 57:23SPEAKER_00: Like, what is it that excites you?
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: The gap in the game calls it your your success criteria, your self-determined success criteria.
- 57:31SPEAKER_00: Uh, some call it your life's compass, right?
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Like, what is that?
- 57:35SPEAKER_00: What is it that you're going for?
- 57:37SPEAKER_00: And we're gonna do that on day number one.
- 57:39SPEAKER_00: We're gonna design our new use, and then we're gonna remove the limiting beliefs because we all have these limiting beliefs that just tell us we can't we can't do that.
- 57:46SPEAKER_00: Like I remember the first time I heard somebody said that they were gonna live a life by design.
- 57:51SPEAKER_00: And I thought, good, that sounds really good for you, but man, that doesn't work for me because you don't know what I've got, you don't know my my challenges.
- 57:58SPEAKER_00: I got this, this, and this.
- 57:59SPEAKER_00: I I can't live a life by design, right?
- 58:02SPEAKER_00: And then I started doing it, and now I've been doing it for eight years, and I'm telling you, you can live a life by design.
- 58:08SPEAKER_01: Damn right, can you not?
- 58:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 58:10SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 58:11SPEAKER_01: I I'd say that the life I'm living is is by design.
- 58:14SPEAKER_01: Now I had to take a pay cut for a for a period of time.
- 58:17SPEAKER_01: Um you did the same, right?
- 58:19SPEAKER_01: When because you used to be the CEO of your brokerage, and then you stepped down, you left, you sold all your shit, you you went driving around the country.
- 58:29SPEAKER_01: I imagine you made a little bit less money for a period of time, right?
- 58:32SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 58:33SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 58:34SPEAKER_00: We we were talking about that too.
- 58:35SPEAKER_00: Remember in 2017, we did that Salt Lake Mastermind or uh Park City.
- 58:40SPEAKER_00: Yes, we we got up uh in Park City, and I was sh I was scared out of my mind to go to that because I I was scraping by.
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: I had just I had just stepped down from the role and I had just gotten back into selling real estate.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: I was launching agent rise.
- 58:55SPEAKER_00: I was I was a mess, man.
- 58:56SPEAKER_00: And I was just churning dollars, just trying to make it happen, you know.
- 59:00SPEAKER_00: And then, hey, let's all get together in Park City.
- 59:02SPEAKER_00: This sounds great.
- 59:03SPEAKER_00: I'm like, uh no, I no, there's no way.
- 59:06SPEAKER_00: And I and I don't remember, but I remember you helped me in some way, and I got there, and I and it was a turning point in my career.
- 59:12SPEAKER_00: It it opened my eyes to at the time we were talking so much about media, and it opened my eyes in so many different ways, and it gave me clarity getting in community, and here's a guy that coaches this, right?
- 59:24SPEAKER_00: I'm a I'm a coach, and I getting in community and letting myself get outside of the bottle, right?
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: Because in in our lives, we're inside the bottle all day long, right?
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: We we don't see it any other way, but when you get in a community, you can get outside the bottle and you can start to see it in another way because you're with people that see it another way, right?
- 59:43SPEAKER_00: And they unlock you, and that's what I got when I went to when I went to Salt Lake, and that's I haven't stopped going to events since then because I receive that power, and that's what I want at this Agent Rise Summit.
- 59:54SPEAKER_00: And I know that there's people that I I mean I'm hearing from people, they want to come, but they're scared, they don't have it.
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: It's hard right now.
- 1:00:00SPEAKER_00: Too many challenges.
- 1:00:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know how I'm gonna get there, but but but I'm telling you, if you make it, it it it's gonna be it's the life-changing things that happen at events, and the way I'm setting this event up, we're gonna have a lot of it, and I cannot wait.
- 1:00:12SPEAKER_01: I believe it, man.
- 1:00:13SPEAKER_01: I'm so damn excited.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to participate myself and to to go through this myself because I know how impactful it can be, and um I'm committed to make that happen.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_01: So give us the dates real quick, give us the the website, where can people find it?
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_01: And then I want to talk a little bit more before we wrap up.
- 1:00:33SPEAKER_01: Um, because man, I could I could talk to you for another hour, but where can people go get tickets?
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_01: I love it, brother.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_01: You it's there's not like 800 people that are going, right?
- 1:00:40SPEAKER_01: This isn't a conference.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_01: Oh 50.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_00: No, 50, 50, 50 agents.
- 1:00:46SPEAKER_00: Uh 50 agents.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: We're and I and I've got a room that's called the workshop, um, and it's a perfect room for this.
- 1:00:52SPEAKER_00: Day number one is gonna be focusing on the new you.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_00: Day number two, I didn't even mention this.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: Day number two, we're gonna focus on your businesses.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: And I see three big opportunities right now in today's market.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_00: Like one of them is a game changer, and I see these three opportunities, and the whole second day is focusing on these opportunities and how we infiltrate these into your business.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: And it it's it's it's it's amazing, and it really, really is.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_00: And so uh again, it's gonna be May 21st to the 23rd, downtown Fort Myers.
- 1:01:23SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be uh all of the and all of the details on it are gonna be at agentrisecoaching.com slash summit.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_00: Again, agentrisecoaching.com slash summit.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_00: And yeah, we only have 50 tickets.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_00: We already have, I think it's 28 or 29 are accounted for already.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: Uh so we have uh a little bit over 20 tickets available.
- 1:01:44SPEAKER_00: And once they're gone, they're gone.
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: We can't fit any more into the room.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: I love this so much.
- 1:01:48SPEAKER_01: I love that it's a smaller, intimate setting because that's where you can really have an impact.
- 1:01:53SPEAKER_01: You can really get to know everyone else that's there.
- 1:01:55SPEAKER_01: It this isn't one of those things, just by the nature of the size of the room, this isn't one of those things where you go, you sit down in the back, and you're just spoken to.
- 1:02:04SPEAKER_01: You're you're trained to the whole time and you take notes and bounce.
- 1:02:08SPEAKER_01: This isn't that.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_01: You're gonna work.
- 1:02:11SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna work.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_01: So come join me.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_01: Come hang out with me and Neil in Fort Myers.
- 1:02:17SPEAKER_01: I've never been there before, so I'm stoked about that.
- 1:02:19SPEAKER_01: But come work with us on this together.
- 1:02:24SPEAKER_01: Uh I'm I'm so excited.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_01: And uh knowing you, you probably dramatically underpriced it, but go to the website and and check that out.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_01: You always underprice your you're you're an acronic underpricer.
- 1:02:34SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_00: TJ calls me the people's coach.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_00: I just for some reason I just uh I if I hang around you long enough though, I'm gonna change that and I I gotta keep doing that.
- 1:02:45SPEAKER_00: That's good, man.
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 1:02:46SPEAKER_00: That's community, right?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_01: You're you're here's what's cool.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_01: Because of choices we've made, we've aligned ourselves in business, where now I, a coach with a coaching program, am having another great coach with a great coaching program on my podcast, and I'm promoting the shit out of him.
- 1:03:04SPEAKER_01: Because, first off, I know how good you are as a coach, Neil.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_01: I know how impactful you are.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_01: Uh, you're also a business partner, and and so anyone that's like, oh my god, just join our team for the like just become a business partner of ours for God's sakes, and then you get both of us as coaches and mentors and partners.
- 1:03:21SPEAKER_01: So there's an option just to plant a seed there.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_01: Yes, but um more about more about the event.
- 1:03:28SPEAKER_01: Uh I I for man, I could go in a trillion different directions right now because I'm fired up.
- 1:03:33SPEAKER_01: But I love the structure of the summit.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_01: So day one, you're working on the foundation, and then day two, you're getting a little bit more tactical.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_01: Here's why that's brilliant.
- 1:03:46SPEAKER_01: As a coach through through the Massive Agent Society, which we've been doing for about five years now, I've learned over the years that even with this the same information, so you we have all these members of the group that have access to the exact same information, the same coaching calls, the same tactics, the same information, some of them go and make a million dollars in a year.
- 1:04:09SPEAKER_01: Some of them say it doesn't work and quit.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_01: And then everything in between.
- 1:04:15SPEAKER_01: Why does that happen?
- 1:04:17SPEAKER_01: It it really confused me for a while, and then I realized the missing piece was their mind.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_01: They they as people were in different places.
- 1:04:27SPEAKER_01: They as people set different expectations for themselves.
- 1:04:30SPEAKER_01: They as people just thought differently.
- 1:04:33SPEAKER_01: So uh like Wayne in Charlotte that made a million dollars his first year in the society, he's just like, oh, cool, like this is amazing.
- 1:04:40SPEAKER_01: I'm just like he was he was so close, he was closer to the goal line than someone who was maybe a brand new agent, or they're like, I'm gonna dip my toes in and see if this works.
- 1:04:51SPEAKER_01: And then they're like, Well, I'm gonna tweak what you say to do a little bit.
- 1:04:54SPEAKER_01: Totally different approaches, same information.
- 1:04:57SPEAKER_01: They had access to the same program.
- 1:04:59SPEAKER_01: One of them makes a million bucks in a year, the others make nothing and quit and say it doesn't work.
- 1:05:05SPEAKER_01: So you've got to focus on the roots before you can expect any fruits.
- 1:05:11SPEAKER_01: And it's brilliant that you are you have that focus from day one.
- 1:05:15SPEAKER_01: We're gonna get uncomfortable, we're gonna get busy, we're gonna dive deep and do the deep work, and then here's some tactics versus the other way around.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_01: I freaking love it.
- 1:05:24SPEAKER_01: That's genius.
- 1:05:25SPEAKER_00: Yes, and I think I think a lot of people they they they they they beat themselves up so much that they blame themselves and they feel like there's something wrong with them.
- 1:05:35SPEAKER_00: And and they they just they they think they need more motivation and they need more excitement and they need more tactics and they need they don't.
- 1:05:43SPEAKER_00: They just gotta rewrite their past and they just gotta look at their the their thoughts differently, and they gotta be focusing on opportunities in their thoughts, positive thoughts, have those positive thoughts, and it just leads.
- 1:05:54SPEAKER_00: It even if you can just stop with the negative thoughts, just stop there.
- 1:05:57SPEAKER_00: How can I?
- 1:05:58SPEAKER_00: Because before you put the car.
- 1:06:00SPEAKER_00: And drive, you got to put it in neutral, right?
- 1:06:02SPEAKER_00: If it's going in reverse and you're going backwards, you can't go from reverse to drive, otherwise, you'll drop the transmission, right?
- 1:06:08SPEAKER_00: And I'm no car guy, but I know that much, right?
- 1:06:10SPEAKER_00: So, so in order for that car to stop going in reverse, you got to get into the neutral.
- 1:06:15SPEAKER_00: So, focus that.
- 1:06:16SPEAKER_00: Get your thoughts into neutral.
- 1:06:17SPEAKER_00: Just get out of that negative.
- 1:06:19SPEAKER_00: And then and then watch what you say.
- 1:06:21SPEAKER_00: I mean, a lot of us, if we just watch our words, the way we a lot of us condemn money.
- 1:06:26SPEAKER_00: A lot of us condemn the the the bills that we have to pay.
- 1:06:29SPEAKER_00: And the, you know, you're condemning the same money you want.
- 1:06:32SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 1:06:33SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:06:34SPEAKER_00: And how can you be poor when when God's just made us so rich and there's so much abundance?
- 1:06:38SPEAKER_00: And a lot of us just are so wrapped up in our negative thoughts and our challenges that we we don't even see it.
- 1:06:45SPEAKER_00: And that's why, to me, you can take the same person, the same information, and and and one man can go make a million with it, and another man can be broke with it.
- 1:06:54SPEAKER_00: And it's really like, what are you what are you deciding?
- 1:06:56SPEAKER_00: What are you deciding?
- 1:06:57SPEAKER_00: And you can do it.
- 1:06:58SPEAKER_00: And it I think the other thing too is I thought all of this was hard work.
- 1:07:02SPEAKER_00: I want to speak to the person that doesn't do anything for their mindset right now.
- 1:07:06SPEAKER_00: I I and I and I I don't know if you'd be listening this late in the podcast, but but if you are, like it does matter and you are in control.
- 1:07:15SPEAKER_00: And I thought for years that I wasn't, and I'm a positive guy.
- 1:07:18SPEAKER_00: I mean, I say be the reason somebody smiles at the end of every one of my episodes.
- 1:07:21SPEAKER_00: I'm always talking about being positive.
- 1:07:24SPEAKER_00: But I'm telling you, I that was a show.
- 1:07:26SPEAKER_00: That was that I just would say that because I knew that's what would impact people, and I and I needed to I needed to put that good energy out there, right?
- 1:07:33SPEAKER_00: But deep down, man, inside my thoughts, my thoughts were not the same.
- 1:07:37SPEAKER_00: They're too negative.
- 1:07:38SPEAKER_00: And but what and and and if I look back at my years and my growth years, where I mean as a real estate agent where I was selling 90, you know, 75 to 100 homes a year, I was always focused on the opportunities.
- 1:07:48SPEAKER_00: Always.
- 1:07:49SPEAKER_00: Where's the next opportunity?
- 1:07:50SPEAKER_00: What's where where you know, like right now, I'm excited where this market's at.
- 1:07:54SPEAKER_00: There's there's opportunities, and most people don't see the opportunities, and we do.
- 1:07:57SPEAKER_00: And so we we're seeing them, and I'm excited about it, and there's growth behind it.
- 1:08:01SPEAKER_00: And then as soon as this shifts, there's gonna be another opportunity.
- 1:08:04SPEAKER_00: And so I'm I'm busy all day long looking for opportunities.
- 1:08:08SPEAKER_00: Meanwhile, there's a lot of people are out there fighting all their challenges.
- 1:08:12SPEAKER_00: And so I and I know I've said that a hundred times in the show, but I mean, that's the difference maker for that that agent.
- 1:08:18SPEAKER_00: That come on, let's go.
- 1:08:20SPEAKER_00: It's in your it's in your thoughts.
- 1:08:21SPEAKER_00: You can do it.
- 1:08:22SPEAKER_00: You're in control, you're the only one in control of your thoughts.
- 1:08:25SPEAKER_01: Nobody else is, and they just need someone to coach them, they just need someone who will hold them accountable, or that they feel accountable too.
- 1:08:33SPEAKER_01: That's another beautiful thing that just makes having a coach so necessary for everybody.
- 1:08:40SPEAKER_01: Tiger Woods has a coach, Michael Jordan had a coach, like the best have coaches.
- 1:08:45SPEAKER_01: You need one, and it's because you feel accountable to them.
- 1:08:48SPEAKER_01: When you know that you're gonna be meeting with your coach at 3 p.m.
- 1:08:51SPEAKER_01: and you need to have X, Y, and Z done because you said you would, you're gonna do that shit.
- 1:08:55SPEAKER_01: But if it's just on you, it's very easy to be like, oh, I can do it tomorrow.
- 1:08:59SPEAKER_01: And it's it's crazy.
- 1:09:01SPEAKER_01: Neil, I'm so stoked to see your new digs, Fort Myers, and uh check out the west coast of Florida.
- 1:09:09SPEAKER_01: That's that's pretty cool.
- 1:09:10SPEAKER_01: I've been to Tampa, but that that's that's it on the West Coast.
- 1:09:14SPEAKER_01: Um I'm really excited, man.
- 1:09:16SPEAKER_01: So I would again, I invite everyone listening to grab one of those last few tickets, the couple dozen or so that's left, and join us.
- 1:09:25SPEAKER_01: Come work with us in Fort Myers in May.
- 1:09:28SPEAKER_01: Thank you for putting the event together.
- 1:09:29SPEAKER_00: I think it's badass.
- 1:09:30SPEAKER_00: I appreciate it, brother.
- 1:09:31SPEAKER_00: Um it's a it's a big leap for me too, because you know, you when you put it a big put an event on, it's a little scary.
- 1:09:37SPEAKER_00: But again, it's that it's that upper limit.
- 1:09:39SPEAKER_00: You run into that upper limit and you bump into it, and I'm breaking through that.
- 1:09:42SPEAKER_00: I'm designing my life, and this is part of it.
- 1:09:44SPEAKER_00: And and bringing agents together, this is a vision that was put on my heart two years ago, bringing agents together into Fort Myers.
- 1:09:50SPEAKER_00: And it's and wait a minute, we survived a hurricane here and and rebuilding from that, and it's it's just like keep evolving, keep going.
- 1:09:57SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing too, is uh when you're when you quiet your mind, you'll you'll start to see how you're always advancing, right?
- 1:10:04SPEAKER_00: And even when you don't feel like you're advancing, you are.
- 1:10:07SPEAKER_00: And and that's you quiet the mind to be able to see that.
- 1:10:10SPEAKER_00: And uh, I feel like in my own journey getting to the summit is is I'm advancing.
- 1:10:14SPEAKER_00: I'm just I'm just slowly advancing, and I I want to see that same thing for everybody that comes.
- 1:10:19SPEAKER_01: You are the man.
