- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay production.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We begin today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the
- 0:13Speaker 2: land on which we gather today and pay our respects
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Welcome to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:29Speaker 3: This is a podcast where we learn, laugh, and level
- 0:31Speaker 3: up together. Let's go deep, let the emotions flow, and
- 0:34Speaker 3: find the lessons to grow and Glow.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Nothing is off the table with Grow and Glow, and
- 0:38Speaker 1: we're here to be your expander. Alrighty, Welcome back to
- 0:44Speaker 1: Growing Glow everybody.
- 0:46Speaker 3: We are so excited for today's guests.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I have never listened to a podcast about this. I
- 0:51Speaker 1: feel like there's nothing on YouTube.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Like I tried searching because Ashley and I've been talking
- 0:55Speaker 3: about doing this and we were like, we want to
- 0:57Speaker 3: get a bit more information. Tried searching. I was like,
- 0:59Speaker 3: there's nothing out there to hear about people's experiences, what
- 1:03Speaker 3: to expect.
- 1:04Speaker 1: There's only one I know that's actually even had this done,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and it's called a Yoni massage. So we have a
- 1:11Speaker 1: lot of questions. We're going to unpack it all. We've
- 1:12Speaker 1: got a beautiful guest on today to help us understand it. Also,
- 1:16Speaker 1: welcome to the podcast. Thanks for joining us.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Thank you so much for inviting me. It's really important
- 1:22Speaker 4: to get this information out there because it's a really
- 1:25Speaker 4: amazing experience.
- 1:26Speaker 1: We're just going to dive straight in, but before we do.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Every single Monday, when we do a new episode, we
- 1:30Speaker 1: ask our guests to share something that they're loving at
- 1:33Speaker 1: the moment. It could be a restaurant, it could be
- 1:35Speaker 1: a product, it could be an experience, anything that you're
- 1:39Speaker 1: wanting to share with the world.
- 1:40Speaker 4: Ye oh, my gosh, oh so many things. However, in
- 1:47Speaker 4: terms of a product, I've just found out about a
- 1:51Speaker 4: company called alf They're based in New Zealand and they're
- 1:56Speaker 4: all natural like makeup and beauty products, and they're serum.
- 2:00Speaker 4: There's serum that I'm using at the moment. Is absolutely amazing.
- 2:04Speaker 4: I don't know I'm allowed to say like brand names
- 2:07Speaker 4: and stuff. Yeah, but yeah, I'm not an affiliate. I
- 2:10Speaker 4: just went, oh, that looks really good and it's really incredible.
- 2:13Speaker 4: So that's one of my favorite things.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So, yeah, is it like a hydrating serum or something.
- 2:18Speaker 4: It's a serum oil, and it's almost like a primer
- 2:21Speaker 4: at the same time, so you put it on underneath
- 2:23Speaker 4: your makeup. Yeah, but it's all completely natural, there's no chemicals.
- 2:27Speaker 4: They've kind of blended science and nature and just made
- 2:30Speaker 4: this really high quality serum primer thing. Yeah, amazing.
- 2:33Speaker 1: First things first, what is a Yoni massage?
- 2:37Speaker 4: Well, first of all, we probably need to explain what
- 2:40Speaker 4: yoni is. So yoni is the Sanskrit word for the
- 2:45Speaker 4: entire female reproductive and sexual anatomy, so that includes the ovaries,
- 2:51Speaker 4: the fallopian tubes, the womb, the cervix, the vaginal canal,
- 2:56Speaker 4: and all the different parts of the vulva, so it's
- 2:59Speaker 4: not just the vagina. So there's still a lot of
- 3:03Speaker 4: miseducation and incorrec information about the female anatomy, which is
- 3:09Speaker 4: sad considering it's twenty twenty four. And then when it
- 3:13Speaker 4: comes to Yoni massage, there's the only massage and then
- 3:16Speaker 4: there's only mapping, and they're very, very different. Every practitioner
- 3:21Speaker 4: actually has a different focus and a different style. So
- 3:24Speaker 4: what I was trained in was Yoni mapping therapy, which
- 3:30Speaker 4: is an holistic pelvic wellness modality, so that's quite different.
- 3:35Speaker 4: Like I have a lot of clients coming to me
- 3:38Speaker 4: who are trying to reconnect with their body and their
- 3:40Speaker 4: yoni after birth, after boundary violations, or just to educate themselves.
- 3:46Speaker 4: So unfortunately, it's still an unregulated industry, so people can
- 3:50Speaker 4: go and do a very short course and go on
- 3:53Speaker 4: offer yoni massage, or not even do a course at all,
- 3:56Speaker 4: not even do any training at all, and go on
- 3:59Speaker 4: offer yoni massage. I really encourage people to do your research,
- 4:04Speaker 4: do a lot of investigation, find out who your practitioner is,
- 4:08Speaker 4: have a conversation with them, and make sure that you
- 4:10Speaker 4: feel very very safe with them, and make sure they're
- 4:13Speaker 4: highly trained and highly experienced, because it's such a vulnerable
- 4:17Speaker 4: and intimate experience that can have an amazing transformational positive
- 4:23Speaker 4: impact on the whole being. But when it's not that,
- 4:27Speaker 4: it's actually very damaging. So yeah, mapping and a yearni
- 4:31Speaker 4: massage is a session that you should be a longer session.
- 4:36Speaker 4: It should include some talking and connecting and finding out
- 4:39Speaker 4: where you're at with your body, and it should include
- 4:43Speaker 4: a full body massage which would also include an external
- 4:47Speaker 4: and internal volver and vaginal massage or mapping.
- 4:52Speaker 3: What's the difference between mapping and the massage.
- 4:55Speaker 4: Massage is like you would have a massage over the
- 4:58Speaker 4: rest of your body, but it's external and internal vaginal massage.
- 5:03Speaker 4: Whereas a mapping, there's a a lot of communication and
- 5:07Speaker 4: education in a mapping, and what we do is we
- 5:10Speaker 4: take a person on like a guided tour of their
- 5:14Speaker 4: volvera and of their internal world. So there's a lot
- 5:18Speaker 4: of communication happening where we're telling the person where we are,
- 5:23Speaker 4: what we're doing. So this bit is here, this is
- 5:26Speaker 4: how I'm touching, what do you feel? And what happens
- 5:30Speaker 4: is we create a map from the yoni and the pelvis,
- 5:36Speaker 4: through the nervous system and up to the brain. So
- 5:40Speaker 4: the brain then has a tangible map of what's going
- 5:44Speaker 4: on and where everything sits in their internal world, in
- 5:48Speaker 4: their vulva and their vagina, in their yoni. So that's
- 5:51Speaker 4: the mapping, rather than it being this mysterious zone that
- 5:55Speaker 4: you know, we kind of know a bit about and
- 5:57Speaker 4: it feels good sometimes and then it doesn't feel good
- 6:00Speaker 4: at other times, and like don't even know, you know,
- 6:02Speaker 4: doing all sorts of stuff with it. We actually the
- 6:05Speaker 4: brain and map.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I'm blown away, Yes, so much more in depth than
- 6:09Speaker 3: I kind of expected to be honest. That's really cool.
- 6:11Speaker 1: So do you have women that book in just for
- 6:14Speaker 1: a only massage for pleasure or just for mapping to
- 6:17Speaker 1: understand or do Most of the time you always do
- 6:20Speaker 1: both in one session, all.
- 6:22Speaker 4: Of the above, all of the above. So there's still
- 6:25Speaker 4: a real lack of just basic anatomy education out there,
- 6:29Speaker 4: So a lot of women don't know their anatomy, let
- 6:32Speaker 4: alone their pleasure anatomy. For what I offer, and as
- 6:36Speaker 4: I said, all therapists have a different focus. So some
- 6:39Speaker 4: people just focus on the sexual element, the orgasm element,
- 6:43Speaker 4: the pleasure element, whereas, because this is holistic, that is included,
- 6:48Speaker 4: but it's not the focus. So it's very much about
- 6:52Speaker 4: reconnecting a person to their body. And once we know
- 6:55Speaker 4: how our body works and where everything sits, then we
- 6:58Speaker 4: are more empowered to be able to know the health
- 7:02Speaker 4: of our bodies and to be able to find the
- 7:05Speaker 4: pleasure in our bodies. So pleasure is definitely an element
- 7:09Speaker 4: of it, but it's not the focus.
- 7:11Speaker 1: That's really cool. I love that it's a whole experience,
- 7:13Speaker 1: not just one or the other. Yeah, and I like
- 7:15Speaker 1: the holistic approach because I assume a lot of women
- 7:19Speaker 1: would have stored trauma and just tightness or fears that
- 7:24Speaker 1: come up that affect not only their sexual intimate life,
- 7:28Speaker 1: but other areas of their feminine essence as well.
- 7:31Speaker 4: Absolutely, one of the most common issues and health issues
- 7:37Speaker 4: that GPS see in women coming through their practices is
- 7:42Speaker 4: pelvic pain and pelvic discomfort. And there's so many different
- 7:46Speaker 4: reasons for that, but a lot of it comes down
- 7:49Speaker 4: to just disconnection and lack of education and lack of
- 7:52Speaker 4: knowledge of how the body works. So a lot of
- 7:55Speaker 4: women have volvidinia, which is pain in the volver for
- 8:01Speaker 4: no apparent reason, vaginismus, which is a tightness of the
- 8:05Speaker 4: vagina when we try to place something inside, it automatically
- 8:09Speaker 4: just closes up. So there's a lot of women who
- 8:11Speaker 4: have that. There's a lot of women who have different
- 8:13Speaker 4: kinds of menstrual issues. So let alone pregnancy, birth, and
- 8:18Speaker 4: then the boundary violations, and then there's pleasure, So our
- 8:22Speaker 4: bodies are designed for pleasure. We have an amazing amount
- 8:26Speaker 4: of orogyena zones over the whole body, but the female
- 8:30Speaker 4: anatomy has a lot of them in the volver and
- 8:34Speaker 4: inside the vagina as well. We need to know about that,
- 8:37Speaker 4: so we can access these parts of ourselves that it's
- 8:40Speaker 4: not just about better sex, it's about our intuition. You know.
- 8:44Speaker 4: The pelvis is our power center. We create life in
- 8:47Speaker 4: our wombs. So it's so important for us to have
- 8:52Speaker 4: knowledge and be able to access these aspects of ourselves
- 8:56Speaker 4: and just to be able to feel the pleasure that's
- 8:59Speaker 4: available in our bodies, so we can walk around in
- 9:01Speaker 4: the world feeling empowered, confident, good, yummy, juicy alive.
- 9:09Speaker 3: That is so amazing, so freaking so cool. So how
- 9:12Speaker 3: long does an actual session go for? So you said
- 9:14Speaker 3: at the start, you do a bit of talking then
- 9:16Speaker 3: getting to the massage. How long does somebody usually come
- 9:19Speaker 3: for a typical session.
- 9:20Speaker 4: My sessions are three hours.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 4: So we start by talking about where they are at and
- 9:27Speaker 4: why they're there and their connection to their bodies, and
- 9:30Speaker 4: then there is a full body massage which includes the
- 9:34Speaker 4: breasts and the belly and the pelvis before I touch
- 9:38Speaker 4: the yoni, and then I ask permission before I touch
- 9:42Speaker 4: the yoni on the externally and internally. So many women
- 9:47Speaker 4: have not been asked permission and for lots of different reasons,
- 9:50Speaker 4: even with pregnancy, birth perhaps me, you know, and even
- 9:53Speaker 4: with sexual experiences as well, So the permission piece is
- 9:57Speaker 4: very very important. And in a massage, I don't talk
- 10:01Speaker 4: very much. That's just for the person to really get relaxed,
- 10:05Speaker 4: feel connected in their bodies, and to feel the connection
- 10:08Speaker 4: of my contact, my touch. But then when we get
- 10:12Speaker 4: to the yoni, then we start communicating and I'll tell
- 10:15Speaker 4: a woman where I am, what I'm doing, and I'll say,
- 10:19Speaker 4: what do you notice, what do you feel? What's your experience?
- 10:23Speaker 4: And everything is welcome. So many women feel very relaxed.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Many women sometimes feel pleasure and arousal. Sometimes people feel
- 10:33Speaker 4: pain and discomfort, awkwardness. We just work with that. Everything's welcome,
- 10:38Speaker 4: and often things can shift and move and change very
- 10:41Speaker 4: quickly through a session.
- 10:43Speaker 1: So interesting, how so much can happen depending on where
- 10:45Speaker 1: you're at. Do you find a lot of women have
- 10:48Speaker 1: a lot of emotional releases and orgasm or one or
- 10:52Speaker 1: the other.
- 10:53Speaker 4: There's usually a lot of feeling, which is good. Some
- 10:57Speaker 4: people cry, yes, very very very few women actually orgasm.
- 11:03Speaker 4: Most people feel really connected and safe and expanded and blissful.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Women don't usually orgasm. I think I've had two people
- 11:12Speaker 4: that have gotten to that point in the whole time
- 11:15Speaker 4: and that's because it's not the focus. And this is
- 11:19Speaker 4: the thing about pleasure is that we often have this
- 11:22Speaker 4: very narrow idea of what it means, and even intimacy
- 11:26Speaker 4: and sexuality, you have this very narrow ideas like that
- 11:29Speaker 4: we're very goal orientated. It's like can we have all
- 11:33Speaker 4: of these different kinds of orgasms and can we squirt?
- 11:36Speaker 4: And there's a lot of pressure, whereas actually female pleasure
- 11:40Speaker 4: is extremely expansive and we need a lot longer to
- 11:46Speaker 4: get into this full state of high arousal. We need
- 11:49Speaker 4: a lot of foreplay, and we need trust, and we
- 11:51Speaker 4: need touch, and we need other kinds of emotional connection
- 11:55Speaker 4: and lots of different things for these channels of pleasure
- 11:59Speaker 4: and arousal to open up in us. And that's often
- 12:02Speaker 4: where a person will go, just to these expanded states
- 12:05Speaker 4: of opening.
- 12:08Speaker 1: So beautiful, because I did have a girlfriend that yeah,
- 12:10Speaker 1: went to you and that's how I found you. And
- 12:12Speaker 1: she said, like, at least for a month afterwards, she
- 12:15Speaker 1: just felt like she was on a high, just so light,
- 12:18Speaker 1: so ground and so connected, so peaceful, so patient with
- 12:22Speaker 1: her daughter, Like it's like she was just literally on
- 12:25Speaker 1: a high. That was where she described it, and that's
- 12:27Speaker 1: just such a nice feeling to be able to access
- 12:29Speaker 1: it through this. It's just such a cool concept. Why
- 12:32Speaker 1: are we not talking about this moral Why is it's
- 12:34Speaker 1: not more of a common thing.
- 12:36Speaker 4: It really should be. It should be something that's very
- 12:39Speaker 4: easily accessible. The problem is is that we're still coming
- 12:43Speaker 4: out of centuries of taboo. You know, we're still on
- 12:47Speaker 4: the tail end of our bodies and our pleasure being
- 12:50Speaker 4: sinful and dirty and disgusting and wrong and being punished
- 12:54Speaker 4: for it. That's actually still happening in a lot of places,
- 12:57Speaker 4: which is really sad. And then there's the over sexualization
- 13:02Speaker 4: of the normal functions of our body. We forget that
- 13:06Speaker 4: our bodies have been designed for pleasure. Some of these
- 13:11Speaker 4: arogyena zones are only there for pleasure and orgasm. They
- 13:15Speaker 4: don't serve any other function. Our culture sexualizes everything. People
- 13:20Speaker 4: automatically think, oh, a vaginal massage, Oh okay, it's the genitals,
- 13:24Speaker 4: Oh okay, so it's definitely sexual. So I've had people
- 13:27Speaker 4: come along, they've done their research, We've had a lot
- 13:30Speaker 4: of conversation. They know exactly what they're stepping into. And
- 13:33Speaker 4: they arrive and they say, my friends, my partner, my family,
- 13:38Speaker 4: are freaking out at me because they think I'm hiring
- 13:41Speaker 4: an escort, I'm going to have some kind of sexual service,
- 13:45Speaker 4: and it's like, no, that is not what's happening. It
- 13:48Speaker 4: is another part of your body that we need to
- 13:50Speaker 4: have a healthy, natural connection with, not to just automatically
- 13:54Speaker 4: think that it's sexual.
- 13:55Speaker 1: That actually came up with my partner. I've heard about
- 13:58Speaker 1: you only massages for probably like the last three years,
- 14:00Speaker 1: and there's two reasons I haven't got it done yet.
- 14:02Speaker 1: The first one was my husband not understand it, and
- 14:05Speaker 1: he was just like, so you're going to have another
- 14:09Speaker 1: female almost get you off, and he was like, why
- 14:12Speaker 1: can't I come? Yeah, it's not like that. And now
- 14:16Speaker 1: he fully gets in and he's like, oh, book it, obabe.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Why have you not pooked it in? And I was like,
- 14:19Speaker 1: now I'm scared. It's just not something everyone's talking about.
- 14:22Speaker 1: It's not often you have anyone else being down there
- 14:26Speaker 1: apart from you know, we've been their husbands for sixteen years.
- 14:29Speaker 1: It's just very taboo, I supose and out of the norm.
- 14:32Speaker 1: But I'm sure there's a lot of other women that
- 14:34Speaker 1: are listening that are so curious. Now, but like, what
- 14:37Speaker 1: do you say to me, I don't know if yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: like I'm scared. What do you say to us that
- 14:41Speaker 1: want to come and experiences with you? But we're just
- 14:43Speaker 1: really scared.
- 14:45Speaker 4: It's actually very normal and that's very healthy. And being
- 14:48Speaker 4: scared is because of all these things that we're just
- 14:51Speaker 4: talking about. We are not properly educated on our anatomy
- 14:57Speaker 4: or intimacy or pleasure. We are still coming out of
- 15:02Speaker 4: this idea that it's wrong and dirty and you know,
- 15:04Speaker 4: you only do with a certain person at a certain
- 15:06Speaker 4: time in a certain way. And because of the disconnection
- 15:10Speaker 4: from our bodies that our culture has been perpetuating on
- 15:15Speaker 4: us for so long, that's why we're like, oh, I
- 15:18Speaker 4: don't know how to touch my body. I don't know
- 15:19Speaker 4: how my body works.
- 15:21Speaker 2: What the heck?
- 15:22Speaker 4: Why am I going to someone else to do that
- 15:24Speaker 4: for me? But we actually do need a guide. We
- 15:27Speaker 4: do need to learn about this. And that's one of
- 15:30Speaker 4: the problems as well, is that we hit puberty and
- 15:34Speaker 4: we're given this really basic education and then we're just
- 15:37Speaker 4: kind of sent out to the world as like good luck,
- 15:39Speaker 4: have fun, don't get pregnant, don't get an sed don't die.
- 15:42Speaker 4: We need to learn it, and we need to learn
- 15:44Speaker 4: the nuances of it. So most women who come along
- 15:48Speaker 4: to me are anywhere on the spectrum of a little
- 15:51Speaker 4: bit nervous to absolutely terrified. It is really knowing exactly
- 15:56Speaker 4: what is going to happen in the session. I always
- 15:59Speaker 4: explain to a person before we actually do the massage
- 16:05Speaker 4: exactly what is going to happen every step of the way,
- 16:08Speaker 4: and then they can fully just relax and be in it.
- 16:12Speaker 4: And really it's not about me. I'm just a guide.
- 16:16Speaker 4: It is about the person getting to know their bodies
- 16:20Speaker 4: more deeply and themselves. That's really what it's about. And
- 16:24Speaker 4: the most common thing I have people saying to me is, wow,
- 16:27Speaker 4: I finally feel at home in my body. I finally
- 16:30Speaker 4: feel like I feel connected and at home in my body.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Beautiful.
- 16:34Speaker 3: I've actually had a couple of healers telling me that
- 16:37Speaker 3: I've got some generational trauma stored in my womb and
- 16:41Speaker 3: I've been having things popping up. That's kind of showing
- 16:43Speaker 3: me that like heavy periods and things that have started happening.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Do you find doing things like this can really help
- 16:48Speaker 3: healing things like that as well?
- 16:50Speaker 4: Yes, yes, absolutely, the womb is and the vagina and
- 16:56Speaker 4: the Pelvis. It is a place where we do store
- 17:00Speaker 4: our history and our ancestral lineages. It's also the place
- 17:05Speaker 4: for the females. For women, it's our intuition, it's our
- 17:09Speaker 4: inner guidance. It's not our gut instincts. It's our yoni
- 17:12Speaker 4: instincts that guide us through the world. And a lot
- 17:16Speaker 4: of women do come along to heal from generational trauma
- 17:21Speaker 4: for fertility as well. So people will come along because
- 17:25Speaker 4: they want to make sure that their womb is in
- 17:28Speaker 4: the optimal kind of energetic place to be able to
- 17:32Speaker 4: bring in new life, and also so that they're not
- 17:35Speaker 4: passing down at least as amount of generational trauma as
- 17:38Speaker 4: possible that might be stored in the womb.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Damn, I wish I knew about that before. Kid, You're
- 17:45Speaker 1: so right. There just isn't enough education, because even with
- 17:47Speaker 1: self pleasure, I feel like it's only something in the
- 17:51Speaker 1: last couple of years that I've really started to explore.
- 17:53Speaker 1: And I don't know why I didn't do it beforehand.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I suppose just the unknown society. Society I've got my
- 18:00Speaker 1: partner like that, his part I just I don't know
- 18:03Speaker 1: that I didn't know. I don't know, and it's not
- 18:05Speaker 1: until I started being around you know, other girlfriends that
- 18:08Speaker 1: had learned about this, and we're just having more open
- 18:10Speaker 1: conversations and researching more. But it's really cool that our
- 18:13Speaker 1: listeners get to heal all of this because I wish
- 18:15Speaker 1: this was taught in school about our body is about pleasure.
- 18:19Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the next step.
- 18:21Speaker 3: How often has someone come to you? Do you have
- 18:22Speaker 3: repeat customers that come in so frequently?
- 18:25Speaker 4: Yeah, most people only need one session, unless you're dealing
- 18:29Speaker 4: with trauma where there's been boundary violations and there's a
- 18:33Speaker 4: lot of layers and a lot of healing that is required,
- 18:36Speaker 4: or there's been birth trauma, so it takes a lot
- 18:38Speaker 4: of time to really get back to feeling a deep
- 18:41Speaker 4: connection and safety in the body. Those clients usually need
- 18:46Speaker 4: only about two or three sessions, but to kind of
- 18:49Speaker 4: move them on the path of reconnection and healing. But
- 18:52Speaker 4: most people who don't have a trauma background the need
- 18:55Speaker 4: one session because the wiring is all there, the wiring,
- 19:00Speaker 4: the inner knowledge and the wisdom is just waiting there
- 19:03Speaker 4: for those connections to happen, and then when that happens,
- 19:06Speaker 4: it's like, oh my God. Of course, of course, once
- 19:09Speaker 4: we rewire and recalibrate and reconnect that map. All the
- 19:13Speaker 4: information is there. And I always encourage people to start
- 19:17Speaker 4: a self connection and a self pleasure practice. And I
- 19:21Speaker 4: say self connection because we kind of get this idea
- 19:24Speaker 4: that a self pleasure practice is about sexy lingerie and
- 19:28Speaker 4: all the wild crazy toys that we can get now,
- 19:31Speaker 4: and it's about giving ourselves orgasms and making ourselves work.
- 19:35Speaker 4: And it's like no, no, no, no, no, no, back up,
- 19:37Speaker 4: back up. It's about knowing your body, being able to touch
- 19:41Speaker 4: your body, being able to understand the needs and desires
- 19:44Speaker 4: of your body. And a lot of the time when
- 19:46Speaker 4: women first connect with themselves and look at their YEARNI
- 19:50Speaker 4: and connect with their YEARNI, there's often a lot of
- 19:52Speaker 4: tears because it's like, oh my gosh, how have I
- 19:56Speaker 4: not known about this?
- 19:58Speaker 1: Not only for yourself, but I feel like if you
- 20:00Speaker 1: are in an intimate relationship as well, because I definitely
- 20:02Speaker 1: agree with you with like women needing longer for play,
- 20:05Speaker 1: more touch, more connection, and not just like in the bedroom,
- 20:08Speaker 1: but outside of the bedroom to then open up and
- 20:10Speaker 1: feel feel safe and feel connected and to really enjoy
- 20:13Speaker 1: that experience. Yeah, So the more that we self pleasure
- 20:17Speaker 1: that we get to know our bodies. It then helps
- 20:19Speaker 1: guide our partners as well. Otherwise they're kind of going
- 20:21Speaker 1: and blind and like getting to the end goal. So
- 20:25Speaker 1: the more that we are our bodies, it's got to help.
- 20:28Speaker 4: And it's good to understand that our bodies work differently
- 20:31Speaker 4: and that they require different things, and the female arousal
- 20:35Speaker 4: system is different to the male arousal systems, and so
- 20:38Speaker 4: it's educating our partners as well of how their bodies work,
- 20:42Speaker 4: because there is an assumption still that women should just
- 20:45Speaker 4: operate like men and only need a few minutes of
- 20:49Speaker 4: stimulation and then bang, you're ready to go, and we
- 20:52Speaker 4: need twenty to forty five minutes of warm up, and
- 20:56Speaker 4: that's just for play when we're being actually intimate. I
- 21:01Speaker 4: do feel for the guys as well and for other partners,
- 21:04Speaker 4: because once again there is an assumption without the correct education,
- 21:08Speaker 4: like you should just know what to do. You should
- 21:10Speaker 4: be able to know how to do this for her
- 21:12Speaker 4: and get her to this point and give her all
- 21:15Speaker 4: these orgasms, and so everyone's kind of faking it and
- 21:18Speaker 4: being like yeah, sure I know what to do, and like, no,
- 21:20Speaker 4: you need to learn.
- 21:22Speaker 1: I'm thinking ahead now. But like we've both got daughters,
- 21:24Speaker 1: my little girls too. You've got a seven year old
- 21:27Speaker 1: and a three year old. Is this something that you
- 21:30Speaker 1: would recommend when they start to be sexually active when
- 21:33Speaker 1: they turn eighteen? Like, this is something you would recommend
- 21:35Speaker 1: us bringing our daughters to so they can learn about
- 21:38Speaker 1: their bodies or us learn about it and then teach them.
- 21:41Speaker 4: And that's the other thing that everyone says once they've
- 21:44Speaker 4: had a session, is I wish I knew this when
- 21:46Speaker 4: I was a teenager. I wish I'd had this experience
- 21:49Speaker 4: before I started on the sexual journey. It is really important,
- 21:53Speaker 4: first of all, for us to do this work on
- 21:57Speaker 4: ourselves and for us to feel comfortable and knowledgeable in
- 22:00Speaker 4: our bodies, and then to be able to impart the
- 22:04Speaker 4: inform onto our young people in the way that's that's
- 22:09Speaker 4: okay for them, because it's still very awkward for them.
- 22:12Speaker 4: So teenagers are still finding it very awkward, and you
- 22:15Speaker 4: know parents are just like, ooh, shut up, don't talk
- 22:18Speaker 4: to me about this. Rows you know, they're still luck
- 22:21Speaker 4: that there's some really great Instagram accounts. I'll give you
- 22:26Speaker 4: them to put in the notes to start directing your
- 22:29Speaker 4: young people to when it's appropriate that they can just
- 22:32Speaker 4: start to learn about it in a really holistic way themselves.
- 22:36Speaker 4: Something that is missing from our culture is our rights
- 22:39Speaker 4: of passage. So back in the day, one of the
- 22:42Speaker 4: rights of passage was menstruation. So you find this way
- 22:47Speaker 4: to celebrate stepping into a new level of development into
- 22:51Speaker 4: menstruation and then a new level of development into the
- 22:55Speaker 4: person as a sexual being. And we've stripped all that
- 22:58Speaker 4: away in our culture, and so to find a way
- 23:01Speaker 4: to bring it back to acknowledge these points of development
- 23:05Speaker 4: would be really an amazing experience for our young people
- 23:08Speaker 4: as well, and they probably wouldn't feel so lost and lonely.
- 23:12Speaker 3: I wouldn't make as many like potentially bad decisions as well,
- 23:15Speaker 3: because I've got more knowledge about this stuff.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Or they're empowered to say no, I don't want this. Yeah, well, hey,
- 23:22Speaker 4: I thought I wanted this, but I don't want that.
- 23:26Speaker 4: You know, I never agreed to that. There is a
- 23:28Speaker 4: whole reform in our education system which is really great
- 23:31Speaker 4: around consent. So that is actually starting to filter into
- 23:36Speaker 4: our education system, which is a really important element. Like
- 23:40Speaker 4: it's a little clunky at the moment, but at least
- 23:43Speaker 4: we're getting there, and that's teaching young people what consent
- 23:48Speaker 4: actually means, and how to say yes, no, maybe, and
- 23:51Speaker 4: how to start communicating in this way. So that's one
- 23:54Speaker 4: of the really important things too, because even if we're educated,
- 23:57Speaker 4: those first few sexual experiences are really fumbly, we make
- 24:01Speaker 4: lots of mistakes. At least with more education and information
- 24:05Speaker 4: it won't be super damaging and wounding. And for adults,
- 24:10Speaker 4: knowing that our bodies are built for pleasure and that
- 24:13Speaker 4: we can access that pleasure, that should be a foundation
- 24:16Speaker 4: of health and well being. Just like going to the gym,
- 24:19Speaker 4: eating well, you know, getting enough sleep, we should also
- 24:23Speaker 4: be able to connect with the pleasure that's available in
- 24:26Speaker 4: our bodies in an unobjectified, unsexualized, but really normal, healthy way.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Do you mind me asking you how much a session is?
- 24:33Speaker 4: So a three hour session with me is four hundred
- 24:37Speaker 4: and twenty five dollars because I want to make it
- 24:39Speaker 4: accessible for everyone.
- 24:41Speaker 1: I think when you think about it, you're getting the massage,
- 24:43Speaker 1: you're getting education, you're getting almost like like sounds like
- 24:45Speaker 1: a counseling session as well. Like it's kind of a
- 24:47Speaker 1: lot of different things all combined in one. So I
- 24:49Speaker 1: think that's great val it and.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Most people only need to go once as well, So
- 24:53Speaker 3: it's not something like, you know, you have to go
- 24:54Speaker 3: back there, it's busier every month or whatever. It's like
- 24:57Speaker 3: if you haven't had much trauma, you only literally have
- 24:59Speaker 3: to go once and then you've got that beautiful concession investment.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Yeah, when you break it down, it's the same a
- 25:05Speaker 4: normal massage that you go, you know, on your body.
- 25:07Speaker 1: So true, so true?
- 25:09Speaker 2: And where are you based?
- 25:10Speaker 3: For anyone who wants to come and see you, where
- 25:13Speaker 3: can they find you?
- 25:14Speaker 4: I live in Tasmania, but I do come up and
- 25:17Speaker 4: visit to see clients two or three times a year.
- 25:21Speaker 4: So my next visit to northern New South Wales is
- 25:24Speaker 4: in October, so late October I have availability for sessions.
- 25:28Speaker 3: Awesome. And how do people get in contact with you
- 25:30Speaker 3: if they want to book this? C in when you're up.
- 25:32Speaker 4: My Instagram account is the Erotic Alchemist and through my
- 25:37Speaker 4: website is Sacred Alchemy dot com dot au. So through
- 25:41Speaker 4: those channels that's how to get in touch with me,
- 25:44Speaker 4: ask questions and book in with me. I'm the traveling Yonimappa.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Amazing, I love it. You still come back.
- 25:51Speaker 4: I'll be there from the twenty fifth to the twenty eighth.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Awesome how cool.
- 25:58Speaker 4: I think the big things for me to share was
- 26:00Speaker 4: that it's not a sexual service, it's a holistic pelvic
- 26:05Speaker 4: wellness modality. So it really does include and encompass the
- 26:09Speaker 4: full spectrum of the human being psychologically, emotionally, physically, and
- 26:14Speaker 4: sexually and spiritually. So I'm not a religious person, but
- 26:19Speaker 4: I am a spiritual person, and this experience really helps
- 26:23Speaker 4: to kind of for people to connect with themselves on
- 26:26Speaker 4: that deeper level. And it's not a new age woo
- 26:28Speaker 4: woo thing. It's just about feeling connected to yourself, to
- 26:32Speaker 4: your family, to your friends, to your community, to your environment.
- 26:36Speaker 4: And when we have more connected and empowered and integrated
- 26:41Speaker 4: people in our society, society just runs better and even
- 26:45Speaker 4: better when that is women who are operating from that place.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Oh, thank you so much of your time.
- 26:50Speaker 1: That's been so amazing, so informative way that you articulate everything,
- 26:54Speaker 1: it just normalizes it makes it seem not so scary
- 26:56Speaker 1: and actually like more exciting.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Yeah, and I even think a lot of people think
- 27:00Speaker 3: that your orgasm, so to know that it's very unlikely
- 27:03Speaker 3: for that to happen might make people feel a little
- 27:04Speaker 3: bit different going into it as well.
- 27:06Speaker 4: There's a lot of women who think that they can't
- 27:09Speaker 4: orgasm or they struggle to orgasm. Again, there's assumption that
- 27:13Speaker 4: penetration equals orgasm, and that is so not true. And
- 27:17Speaker 4: we really need to take this pressure off having to
- 27:20Speaker 4: orgasm and for orgasm to be this big mysterious thing
- 27:23Speaker 4: and really come back to just getting to experience pleasure
- 27:28Speaker 4: and from there then you know, we make those steps
- 27:31Speaker 4: and those moves towards more deeper arousal and more orgasmic experiences.
- 27:36Speaker 4: That's a good thing to educate people on too.
- 27:38Speaker 1: We thank you so much for joining us. I really
- 27:40Speaker 1: really appreciate it. And we'll see you in October.
- 27:44Speaker 4: Yes, I hope so. Thank you for inviting me.
- 27:48Speaker 1: Thank you so much. All our show notes below so
- 27:51Speaker 1: everyone can get in contact with you or ask you
- 27:52Speaker 1: any other question.
- 27:53Speaker 4: It's an incredible, beautiful experience. It's actually not scary once
- 27:58Speaker 4: you get there. It does give you that inner reference
- 28:01Speaker 4: point in your body to just normalize the healthy back
- 28:05Speaker 4: intivation of pleasure and just connection in your body. You know,
- 28:08Speaker 4: everyone knowing how it works.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Everyone wants connection. Yeah, weld you not want that.
- 28:12Speaker 4: Thank you so much, so good to talk to you.
- 28:14Speaker 4: I'll talk to you more soon Bye, bye,
