- 0:00Speaker: Good morning.
- 0:01Speaker: What are your plans for your adventure today?
- 0:04Speaker: What are your prospects?
- 0:06Speaker: Where are you going?
- 0:07Speaker: Physically, and where are we going in our heads?
- 0:11Speaker: And you may have noticed I changed to we, because it is all of us.
- 0:16Speaker: It is not just you or I.
- 0:19Speaker: It is us.
- 0:20Speaker: It is humankind.
- 0:22Speaker: It is our placement in our universe, in our solar system, upon our world, and whatever society we are in in our civilization.
- 0:33Speaker: We have goals, we have responsibilities, cultures, governments, families, interactions of all kinds.
- 0:44Speaker: We have made many mechanisms.
- 0:46Speaker: We have employment, we have means of bartering goods, different values.
- 0:54Speaker: All of these different things we juggle every day.
- 0:58Speaker: How well, how poorly, with what advantage, with what disadvantage.
- 1:04Speaker: And it is this way for everyone, most for sure.
- 1:10Speaker: Being here, aware, more aware, having taken this moment to follow this dialogue, we find ourselves querying all these things.
- 1:25Speaker: What do we mean?
- 1:26Speaker: Where are we going?
- 1:28Speaker: What can we do to improve ourselves?
- 1:34Speaker: To make our momentum a more positive direction.
- 1:42Speaker: And the answer is quite simple.
- 1:45Speaker: We can practice improvement.
- 1:47Speaker: We can take advantage of the propensity of a human being to learn by experience.
- 1:55Speaker: We have this capability.
- 1:57Speaker: With practice, we can gain a new habit.
- 2:01Speaker: Improve ourselves.
- 2:03Speaker: Being here now is a call to such an instance where one becomes more aware of one's physicality.
- 2:12Speaker: Where am I?
- 2:12Speaker: Oh, in time and space.
- 2:14Speaker: Good place.
- 2:15Speaker: And beginning to witness objectively one's being, one's warmth, one's pulse, one's shimmering majesty, one's chest rising and subsiding, one's five senses, all of these things become more poignant in this moment as we scan ourselves.
- 2:35Speaker: We are here now.
- 2:37Speaker: We also have minds.
- 2:40Speaker: Where are our minds in these moments searching and querying?
- 2:45Speaker: What's on our mind?
- 2:47Speaker: In what direction am I going?
- 2:50Speaker: Where do my emotions lie today, right now?
- 2:56Speaker: Being here now, practicing, being calm, allowing oneself to relax, become more tranquil, finding a sense of peace, relaxation, allowing oneself to sink into the forces of gravity pulling us down, anchoring us to our physical state, comfortable, being here now.
- 3:40Speaker: Aware, heightening one's perspective, one's sense of hearing, listening for sounds.
- 3:55Speaker: Not only the voice speaking, the ambient sounds surrounding us, each of us in our own unique environment.
- 4:09Speaker: Listening inside of one's own head, listening with that which is between one's two ears, one's brain, the ends of one's auditory nerves, the sections of our brain that deal specifically with sound.
- 4:26Speaker: Listening.
- 4:28Speaker: Feeling the potential of being is there, just alert.
- 4:34Speaker: Being present in this environment.
- 4:44Speaker: Becoming more aware now of one's body's largest organ, one's skin.
- 4:51Speaker: Feeling there is something going on in the interface between inside of ourselves and outside.
- 5:04Speaker: On this border, on this margin, on this interface, there is some kind of an interplay of energy occurring between what we consider warmth or coolness, textures, a breeze, clothes, all kinds of interfaces and interplays depending upon circumstance.
- 5:40Speaker: Thinking about temperature of one's skin, of the heat, our body emanating out of our chest, carried by our vascular system to the circumference of our being, our skin, disseminated between outside and in.
- 6:02Speaker: This is what's going on all the time.
- 6:05Speaker: When we more elaborate upon the actual physicality of it, changes in scope.
- 6:14Speaker: When we take these thoughts and then add together with one's bodily awareness of just beneath one's skin, being present with one's pulse, one's bodily awareness, being here now, concentrating and focusing as we are on these words, on what we are accomplishing in our hearts and our minds, the advantage we are seeking in having a wider perspective, being more aware, utilizing our greater experiences to make better decisions, to be more clear in our activities, in our responses everywhere.
- 7:30Speaker: Because we are developing new habits, we are changing ourselves and we are reinforcing those changes with practice.
- 7:41Speaker: Why it is said to practice every day all day, changing life in a moment.
- 7:49Speaker: Was your yesterday the same as today, or the day before, or the day after today, tomorrow?
- 7:59Speaker: No, of course not.
- 8:01Speaker: Everything is changing, so we need to keep a pace with the changes in our universe, in our solar system, upon our world, and behind our own individual unique faces.
- 8:17Speaker: We need to be aware, seek improvement, grow.
- 8:25Speaker: This is what the universe is doing.
- 8:31Speaker: It is growing, it is stretching in size, in complexity of its constituent parts.
- 8:40Speaker: How do we fit in?
- 8:44Speaker: How can we make our situation better?
- 8:51Speaker: Within this context or any, one must think, utilizing one's capabilities, and where do our capabilities come from?
- 9:08Speaker: From being aware, experience, determine one step at a time, one small step for improvement.
- 9:23Speaker: It may be the direction is not always positive, because we aren't perfect, we make mistakes.
- 9:32Speaker: Attitude towards it defines where our next step will be.
- 9:38Speaker: This is what we're talking about.
- 9:40Speaker: What do we want our next step to be?
- 9:45Speaker: Socrates, Plato, Seneca, yogis, great saints in all religions, ask the same question.
- 9:54Speaker: Whom am I?
- 9:57Speaker: Seek and ye shall find.
- 9:59Speaker: It is here, even more.
- 10:02Speaker: Each being is different, and the answer is different to maybe similar.
- 10:09Speaker: The music continues for another minute.
- 10:13Speaker: Enjoy your day, finding ways to remember whom you are.
- 10:19Speaker: This is our practice. namaste
