- Sheena: Okay. Welcome back to Sweat Community Podcast, where we talk with people, businesses, and leaders shaping health, wellness, fitness, and community here in Colorado. Today we're staying right in Highlands Ranch I'm sitting down with Stacey Brantley. Who's opening Body Bar Pilates Highlands Ranch? We're talking about what it actually takes to open a studio and what she hopes to bring to the local fitness community. I also asked Sweat Community to send me their questions for Stacy. So we're answering some of the things that you actually want to know. So Stacey, welcome to Sweat Community. Stacey Brantley: Hi, thank you. to be here. Sheena: Thank you. I'm so my gosh, I am so excited that you're here. we met at one of your events at Max Taps and I I think that was way back in early summer and then we planned this out and it seemed like forever away and now I can't believe we're already here. Stacey Brantley: It did. It came fast. Sheena: It really did. I'm so excited to get into your story. So, for people who don't know you, can you tell us a little bit about you and what brought you here to Highlands Ranch? Stacey Brantley: yeah, so I started out in Highlands Ranch as a teacher in 2003. I taught at Fox Creek Elementary for eight years as a learning specialist. and I love that I'm now coming back with a Pilates studio, Sheena: That is incredible. love your ties back with Highlands Ranch that you were teaching for so many years here and that you decided to bring wellness to the community. So what was your relationship with Pilates before this? Stacey Brantley: honestly, not as much as most people. I've been in fitness for 13 years. working as a personal trainer and I've done a few private Pilates sessions, a few classes. Always, always love the workout, but found it just not easily accessible. There aren't a ton of Pilates studios around and then the ones that do exist, it's hard to get into the classes. I never belonged to a studio but loved the workout I just couldn't get it in like I wanted to. Sheena: Mm-hmm. Well, I love that you are trying to make it more accessible to the community here. so as far as A Pilates studio, what made you want to own one? Like that's a big leap from loving the workout and loving Pilates. What made you decide that you wanted to jump into studio ownership? Stacey Brantley: It has always been a dream of mine. I've always wanted a studio and Pilates has been around for a hundred years. Like I knew that Pilates was a safe bet. it's a great workout and it stood the test of time. So it just it made a lot of sense to me to go with a Pilates studio Sheena: For sure. And people might be saying, well, isn't Pilates just really trending right now? But like you said, it has been around for over a hundred years. And there's a reason behind that because the workout actually works. training not Stacey Brantley: Exactly. Sheena: yeah, so what made you choose body bar? I know there's other concepts out there. Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I mean I looked at a lot of the different concepts when deciding on which franchise I wanted to invest in. and I really love the business model that Body Bar offers. I love that the classes are taught by real instructors. You're not following a workout on a TV. they're based out of Fort Worth, Texas. when I went down there and met the whole body bar team. I feel like everyone there really cares about the franchisee. They're constantly looking at ways to make the franchise better. The owners themselves actually own three studios. so they they know what we as studio owners are going through. They're a bit in the trenches as well, And it's a lot of fun. They embrace the spirit of cheers, which means it's just all about celebrating each other, motivating each other and lifting each other up every day from headquarters down to the member going to the studio. Sheena: very cool. I also love that the owners had three businesses of their own before branching out. So like you said, they really know what it's like to be in the trenches, and able to support you where you need. Very Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I mean she even teaches at her own studio, so I think that's so cool. Sheena: my gosh. Yeah, that's absolutely Very cool. since I found you, I've been paying more attention to Body Bar and I realized like there are there are actually quite a few of them around. around here too. Stacey Brantley: Yeah, yeah, we'll be the third studio in Colorado to open. there will be a fourth opening up probably January or February, and then three of the other owners all have second locations, but I don't think anyone is actually in the process of opening a second location yet. Sheena: that's a cool goal for down the road. So Stacey Brantley: Yeah, yeah. Sheena: yeah, So I kind of want to go behind the scenes a little bit. What does opening a studio actually look like day to day right now? What are you spending time on that nobody would guess from the coming soon sign. Stacey Brantley: yeah, right now you can probably find Sheena: He Stacey Brantley: me in the studio sometime between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. putting furniture together, Sheena: wow. Stacey Brantley: shelves. yeah, I feel like that's kind of been my life I do the normal work all day and then I head over there at night and you'll see my puppy in the window hanging out with me and I'm just putting stuff together having meltdowns on the bathroom floor because I knocked the soap dispenser over and broke it before I hung it on the wall and you know, that kind of fun stuff. Sheena: Yeah, you have like so many different roles at this point so many things that you are probably juggling right now. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Finances and scrubbing toilets. Sheena: quite a range. Stacey Brantley: Yes. Sheena: so what's been the hardest part? Stacey Brantley: I would say, like you just said, wearing all the hats. and honestly learning it or maybe just making it up as I go. I'm all of a sudden a retail buyer and a sales and marketing expert, and I have zero experience in any of this. I know fitness. and all of a sudden I'm like just flung into business ownership. and I'm loving learning all of this, but I am 100% learning it by the seat of my pants right now. Sheena: my I I commend you. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: have you ever had a what did I get myself into moment? Or probably many of those like in this process? Stacey Brantley: my gosh, I think like probably every night. every night when it's like ten o'clock and I'm like, my gosh, I need to stop. I need to go to bed and I only got half the things I needed to get done, done, and what did I do? But it will Sheena: Yeah. Stacey Brantley: pay off. Sheena: It will. It will. I think too, like we have a goal or this idea, this timeline. But from what I've heard from other people, deadlines are are very liquid. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Yeah. And just prioritizing what's the biggest fire that needs to get put out at this moment and that's where I go. Sheena: yeah. There's only so much you can do. Stacey Brantley: I'm learning that. Sheena: I know. I feel like that's a big challenge that a lot of us, especially you going into opening a studio, you have a lot of weight on your shoulders with this. And you're like, I need to get XYZ done and I need to get it done by this certain point. But it's like I'm only one person. If this has to get pushed back, it gets pushed back, you know, like I can't do all Stacey Brantley: Right. Sheena: the things all the time. Stacey Brantley: Yeah, yeah. I mean, I'm that kind of person that I just like I want everything to be perfect. Sheena: Mm. Stacey Brantley: and I'm having to realize, like, you know what, no lives will be lost if all the Sheena: Mm-hmm. Stacey Brantley: retail isn't steamed by the time our instructors come in to take a, sample class. Like everything Sheena: Yeah. Stacey Brantley: will be fine. They will understand that there are gonna be wrinkles in the clothes. Like, it's fine. Sheena: Yes. exactly. I'm also a perfectionist and I feel like this is what I was expecting. And if it's not here, it's all ruined, but it's like, you know what, nobody else will notice. Like no one else will know. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Exactly, yeah. Sheena: So was there anything you wish you knew before you signed that franchise agreement? Stacey Brantley: gosh. I mean I would say this whole process has been full of surprises. mostly good, but I mean the cost of things are shocking sometimes. my electric bill was shocking this last month. don't know why commercial electricity costs more than residential, but apparently it does. so Sheena: my gosh. Stacey Brantley: it's just those kinds of things. But Other than that, I mean it's been it's been a fun process. It it has been full of surprises. I don't think I ever really knew fully what I was getting myself into until I got myself into it. it just sounds glamorous, right? Like I'm gonna own a Pilates studio and then it's like, Sheena: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Stacey Brantley: yeah, I'm just gonna scrub toilets really. Sheena: Yeah. No, it sounds like a dream, You're like, I have a Pilates studio. But then like you said, Stacey Brantley: Right. Sheena: things that just pop up as you go, there's Stacey Brantley: Mm-hmm. Sheena: so much more to it. And holy cow. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. It's fun though. I feel like I'm becoming a business expert overnight. Yeah. Sheena: Yeah. quickly. Quickly. Yes. So one of the many reasons I was excited to have you on here is not just because you are opening a body bar, but it's that you're also here in Highlands Ranch. but Highlands Ranch already does have a pretty strong fitness scene. What do you think you're adding? Stacey Brantley: yes, Highlands Ranch does have very strong fitness scene. and the rec centers and everything like that, but there's nothing like body bar that exists in Highlands Ranch. I know there's a few more classical Pilates studios, but we're a more modern spin-on Pilates, a little bit more intense. So we're bringing that, which doesn't exist there. Plus, Pilates really is a good complement to a lot of other fitness programs. I mean, if you're a runner or a golfer or if you're into pickleball, doing Pilates is gonna help with all of those things. Plus, it's a really great workout if you're not doing anything. Because you always want to start with strengthening the core. where you should start if you're not working out, and it's what you should add if you are. Sheena: Yes, yes. since adding Pilates, and I'm I'm regular at Matt Pilates, not reformer Pilates, but since adding Pilates, it just helps with literally everything, even walking. I Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: noticed like my core strength and my posture. It's helped with strength training. It truly complements everything Stacey Brantley: Mm-hmm. Yeah, and there Sheena: So Stacey Brantley: really aren't a lot of studios in Highlands Ranch. Compared to other areas the size of Highlands Ranch, there's not much there for, you know, Pilates wise for people to do. So I'm excited to give Sheena: Mm. Mm. Stacey Brantley: everybody an option for it. Sheena: Yes. so speaking of the Highlands Range community, this is a question that came into me from a listener. she says that you've been doing so many events different Matt Pilates classes throughout the different parks and whatnot before opening your studio. so her question was, do you still plan on doing events like this in the community after you open? Stacey Brantley: Yes, we do. We're actually really excited to keep going after we open. the timing of everything works out really well because we are wrapping up our park events and the weather is cooling off. Although a little bit cooler weather might be nice than some of those hot matte Pilates in the park events that we did do. We had some toasty days. and people still showed up and I love them for that. Sheena: That was so cool. Stacey Brantley: yeah, but we have one more coming up, and then we're gonna focus on getting the studio open, being in the studio for a little bit, and then we do wanna start getting out into the community again and doing some more community events because that's been a really fun way to get to know everybody Sheena: Yes. And I have been to one of your park events and it was such a blast. I feel like just being out with people and then you had fun vendors and drinks and all the things and those are like my favorite. So I love that you're gonna continue that. Stacey Brantley: yeah. We love doing those. Sheena: A min. it's so good. a little bit earlier, you were saying that body bar is different as far as like some of the other more classical style Pilates studios that are here. so Stacey Brantley: Mm-hmm. Sheena: let's talk about the actual workout because I think there's a lot of curiosity What is a body bar class actually like? Stacey Brantley: Yeah. So when we first open, we're only going to have two class formats. It'll be a class called precision and a class called performance. And precision is a little bit slower and more along the lines of classical Pilates that people are used to. And then performance is the more athletic class that we're going to offer. And it just moves a little faster, it has fast transitions. And one of the things that makes Body Bar different is that we use what's called a block system. So we will do all the lower body moves together. so you're really getting that strength endurance in your low body, and you are burning out your low body before you move on upper body or core, we chunk all of those exercises together as well. you're getting a lot of strength training by doing all of those moves. together in one block before moving on to the other, which is different from classical Pilates. but once we get rolling and our instructors get trained in all the formats, we will have a class called reset. it'll be a gentle restorative. Reformer Pilates class. so we're gonna offer that full range, everything from reset to classes called sculpt and performance that are a little more intense. but they say we're between classic Pilates because we're still using an actual Pilates reformer, and we're using signature Pilates moves and Legris, which is Different than Pilates and known for being a little more intense and body bar kind of falls in the middle of those two things. Sheena: thank you for explaining that. Pilates in general, you follow an order So it sounds like you do incorporate that, but in a Stacey Brantley: Mm-hmm. Sheena: different way, but it's also kind of cool because it mixes it up. And our c Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I would say like if you really like Pilates and you like those classic moves but you want a little more of an intense workout, then we're a perfect fit for that. Sheena: Yeah. I have not taken a Ligree class, but I have heard that it's not Pilates, but it's, you know, people think it is Stacey Brantley: Right. Sheena: because it has a reformer type of equipment, But I love Stacey Brantley: Yep. Sheena: that you're kind of in the between both of them and that that you say that, that you're like, we're not necessarily right at that Pilates, we're not at that Ligree, we're a mix, we're kind of in between, which is helpful to to think of it that way. Stacey Brantley: Yeah, we're kind of bridging the gap between those two workouts. Sheena: Yeah, there are a lot of people who do take that classical and then they're like, I want a little bit more, but they don't really want Legris. So I think this is really cool and I'm excited to try. Stacey Brantley: I can't wait to get you in the studio. Sheena: this sounds amazing. So you were kind of mentioning Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: that there is an athletic type of Pilates. What does that actually mean? as far as like safety goes? Because when you're standing or moving and it's a little faster, how do you make sure that someone's being safe? Stacey Brantley: yes, because we do stand on the reformer. most workouts will incorporate that, but not always in the precision class. But we will have options. So if somebody is not comfortable standing on the reformer, if they're not comfortable with their balance, we have a weighted bar that you can hold on to to just help with your balance a little bit, or we'll always give that person an option to do on the floor. so it's never required to stand on the reformer if you're not feeling safe with that. Sheena: Awesome. And then you said you have a weighted bar. Do you use other props as well, Stacey Brantley: Yep, We have weights, we have fabric mini bands, the ball, the magic circle, and then we also incorporate a power tower on our reformers as well. Sheena: awesome. That sounds so cool. Wow. I Stacey Brantley: Yeah. It's a good setup. Sheena: Yeah. I love props. So I feel like that you've got all of that plus a chair and the tower. Like it's not just that reformer. That is so cool. Stacey Brantley: Yeah, yeah. The workouts will not feel stale because there are a lot of options of things to use. so it'll always feel a little different every time you come to class. Sheena: Yeah, And then with the weights and resistance with the reformer, would you consider this strength training? for those who would like to add more strength training, but maybe not actually doing it? Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I would consider this a full body strength training workout. you can work every muscle and you can work every muscle till failure if you're putting the right springs on. Sheena: yeah, absolutely. If you're working those, muscles to failure, you are strength training. which both of those, like strength training and Pilates are big time trending right now, and you're just combining Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: it both. So you've like have the ultimate workout right here. Stacey Brantley: Yes, yes. You should be able to age pretty gracefully if you're doing this workout. Sheena: So I know that there are people listening and they're thinking, okay, this sounds incredible, but I've never been on a reformer. So let's talk about that first experience. I think I've read somewhere that you might have up to 14 reformers. How does a beginner Stacey Brantley: Yes. Sheena: come in and not get overwhelmed or lost? Stacey Brantley: I've talked to a lot of people who have joined and are nervous to come in for their first class for that exact reason. And first of all, when we first open everyone's gonna be a beginner. Like you Sheena: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Stacey Brantley: know, other than a few people who have maybe tried the other body bar locations, this is gonna be new for everybody. so I think it's important to realize that, you're in the same boat as everybody else. so there's no reason to feel intimidated. But once we're rolling for anyone taking their first class, they're gonna get greeted by the sales associate when they walk through the door. Sales associate's gonna know that they're in for their first class and they're gonna take them in and introduce them to the instructor The instructor is gonna give them a quick rundown of how the reformer works, and then if possible, put them next to a more experienced member who knows what they're doing and can help. them out if they get stuck. we'll have the number of classes that person has taken and their name written on a card that they'll put on their reformer. And so, the instructor is gonna know if this is somebody's first, second, tenth class versus their thirtieth, fortieth, fiftieth class, and pay a little closer attention to that person and make sure that their form is looking good and their transitions are good and if they need help moving their foot bar, anything like that. that's what we're here for and that's what we want to do is we wanna make sure everyone has a good experience from their first time on. Sheena: I think that is fantastic. How you are very conscious of who you put people next to because people do that. They look around, especially if you can't see the instructor or maybe the instructor is walking around and you you need that more visual learning. So I think that is really, really smart to do. And then I love how you said that everybody has been a beginner once and starting at the beginning right now, So because I think somebody might be intimidated, like, my gosh, is everybody gonna be better than me? I might not want to go because of that, but you're making it less intimidating. And that is so great. That is literally why I do this podcast is to let people know, like, hey. This might not be as intimidating as you think it is. and you guys are very aware that it can't be, you know, a lot for somebody brand new. So I love that you're thinking Stacey Brantley: yeah. Sheena: about all that. Stacey Brantley: I mean, I still get lost sometimes doing things. our instructors were just going through training and I was doing one of their practice classes and we were doing a stretch that I had never done before and I'm sitting there looking around like, all right, what do I do? But yeah, I think Sheena: Ha ha Stacey Brantley: it's important to remember none of us were born doing Pilates and we all had to start at some point. no one's there to judge anyone else. Like we we were all in that Sheena: Yeah. Stacey Brantley: boat at one point. Sheena: Absolutely. So yeah, Stacey Brantley: I still am most of the time, so Sheena: if the owner still feels like she's there at some point, all, it's okay if you feel like that too. Yes. There Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Exactly. Just fake it till you make it. It's fine. Sheena: you go. So this is another community question. if somebody in their forties, in their sixties, or older and they've never done exercise or reformer Pilates before, how would you tell them to get started? Like how do you support somebody who has never done a workout like this or maybe even worked out at all? Like is this an okay place to come into, even though it might be considered more athletic Stacey Brantley: we would definitely guide someone on which classes to take. I would not take a seventy year old who's never worked out before and advise them to take our performance class. we would get them into one of our slower moving classes. and then everything is at their own pace. we do everything for time you can move at your own pace and you can rest when needed. And as long as you're comfortable with that and willing to listen to your own body and not feel pressured to, keep up with the person next to you who's taking their hundred and seventeenth class, you can absolutely be there and do the workout and get what you need to get out of it. Sheena: that is so great. And also for like a newer one, you have modifications, you know, for the different fitness levels Stacey Brantley: Yes. Yeah, with every exercise the instructor is gonna give a modification to, take a little of that pressure off of it or to, turn it up a notch so that everybody gets what they need in that class. Sheena: Yeah, that's great. So on the flip side of that, somebody who they're like, I want to work out five days seven days a week, I would just want to really go the max. is there a a recommendation that you would say coming This many days a week is where you will really feel or notice or see that difference and benefit. Stacey Brantley: Ooh. That's good question. I mean, I think that just depends on the person and what else they're doing. But because we will have seven different class formats, you really could come four or five times a week. you could do the reset one day where it's more stretching and restorative, and then you could do the performance with the jump board, you know, you can change it up every day so that you're still getting completely different workout each day, even though We are still doing body bar Pilates four or five days a week. Sheena: Yeah. did you say that there's seven formats or seven class types? That will eventually Stacey Brantley: Yeah, we have seven different class formats. Sheena: Wow, wow. So you're starting with the two, and then how Stacey Brantley: Mm-hmm. Sheena: Soon before you start adding on, or do you think that you'll be at that full seven? Stacey Brantley: our instructors will be trained in the other apparatus in November. So won't be till after that that we have them on the schedule. we won't be able to add in the chair or the power tower or the jump board until everyone gets trained on all of that. Yeah. Sheena: it makes total sense. And then I think it's cool too knowing like you go in and then you get comfortable with those first two formats and then you feel more ready in a few months, to add on, I Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I think it's great for both the instructors and the members. I mean, everyone gets to get comfortable with our two signature formats because the other five formats are really just variations of those two. Sheena: Mm. Stacey Brantley: and then we can change it up and keep everyone interested. Sheena: that's really cool. So you're talking about instructors and their training. that leads me right into the last question from the community, where she was saying that there is a lot of conversation, I'll say, like around Pilates instructor training in general and what different certifications mean. some are like, it needs to be XYZ training, otherwise it doesn't count. It's not Pilates. how does Body Bar train its instructors Stacey Brantley: Yeah, so all of our instructors do a two-week online training prior to their in-person training. And then we have a master trainer come out here and they do four full eight hour days of training in the studio with a master trainer. and then after that they have to film themselves teaching a class to test out, it has to be submitted to Body Bar. and before they're actually fully certified, they have, I think it's around 200 hours that have to be completed in order to be fully certified. is it a Pretty big certification. I went through it because I want to teach at the studio. but also I'm able to get my NASM recertification hours for my personal training through doing this. So it's an accredited program. and everyone has to do all the practice hours, the teaching hours, the observation hours to get fully certified. Sheena: Great. Okay. That's awesome. so beyond knowing the exercises, what do you think makes a great instructor? Like how do you find instructors to teach at your studio? Stacey Brantley: We were super lucky. we had a lot of people just from the community reach out and tell us they wanted to be an instructor. But what we really looked for was obviously someone who's knowledgeable but personality. I mean, you can't teach personality. So we wanted people who were just genuinely good people, and just being able to connect to the members and have fun in there and not take things too seriously Sheena: For sure. Because I think people taking the class will feel that. So is there anything that you've experienced in a fitness studio that you knew you wanted to do differently with Body Bar? Stacey Brantley: Yes. I mean I I've always been a gym rat and I know I've gone to plenty of gyms and studios where, I'm there a couple of days a week and I'm there at the same time and I'm checking in with the same person every time and they never look up. They have no idea who I am after I've been there for two years. and I want to make sure that that's not the vibe people are getting at Body Bar. Like we're gonna know you by name. We're going to, know your dog's name and your grandkids names and you know, like we Sheena: Well. Stacey Brantley: we really want to get to know our members. our members are not just a number to us. They are People who are investing their time and their energy and their money with us and we want to get to know them. Sheena: that is beautiful. Yeah, because you want it to be at, you know, its own community. like a third space for people, somewhere that people want to be at. So I love that. that yeah. Stacey Brantley: That's that's exactly it. You know, you've got home, you've got work, and then you need that third space and we wanna be that for everybody. Sheena: Yeah. really cool. is there anything that you want Highlands Ranch to know that they might not see by looking at your website? Stacey Brantley: Yeah, I want everyone to know that my whole staff is just we're so excited. To get our doors open We've had so much fun at all of the free Pilates in the park events that we've done, meeting everybody. we just genuinely cannot wait to welcome everybody into the studio, start putting faces to all the names and just get to know our people. I just I can't Wait for it. I'm so excited. Sheena: Yes. Yeah, I could hear it in your voice. That excitement. so speaking of opening doors, when is that happening? Do you have a date picked out or set Stacey Brantley: We have all the dates picked out. Sheena: Ha ha ha Stacey Brantley: we are gonna have our soft opening called Founders Week, and that'll be the week of October 5th. And during that week, we are bringing all of our members in to try out a class then we are gonna fill those classes with everyone else who wants to come try a class and wants to test us out. October 7th, we will be having our grand opening ribbon cutting celebration. That'll be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. then on October 12th, we're just officially open for business, just normal everyday life, or at least what it's gonna start looking like at that point. Sheena: Yes. Holy cow, so exciting. That is so soon. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: it's here. Like that's amazing. Wow. It is here. Stacey Brantley: It is here and the clothes still aren't steamed, but it's fine. Sheena: It'll be fine. Nobody except for the people who listen to this episode will even notice. Stacey Brantley: Right. I outed myself. Sheena: No, that is amazing. when you say members or founding members, what does that mean? Stacey Brantley: Our founding members are everyone who, you know, believed in us from the beginning and have taken a chance and purchased a membership before getting to even walk through our doors. they got to secure a discounted rate for that reason. Sheena: Is founding membership still open? Stacey Brantley: Yes, we'll be doing founding memberships until we open our doors. On the twelfth, Sheena: Well, awesome. one year out from now, what does success look like to you? Stacey Brantley: gosh. I think success would look like me purchasing another territory and looking into opening up a second location for myself. Sheena: Very cool. I hope that happens. That will be super cool. Stacey Brantley: Me too. Sheena: So we've covered the serious questions, and now I always like to go into a section called Rapid Fire where it's just a few little fun, silly questions before we wrap up. So are you ready? Stacey Brantley: Okay. Sheena: Okay, Rapid fire, reformer or mat? Stacey Brantley: Reformer. Sheena: Favorite body bar move. Stacey Brantley: Ooh, I like a plank to pike. Sheena: Ooh, yeah, full body. What about Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: favorite body bar class format? Stacey Brantley: I am definitely a performance girl. I like the intensity. Sheena: that's one of the signature the Least favorite body bar move. Stacey Brantley: Ooh, least favorite move. We have a burpee. and I just always feel like I'm gonna fall over when I'm doing it. plus I hate burpees anyway. Sheena: Yeah. Yeah. You hear that being called out and you're like, no, here we go. Or or is it a good time for a bathroom break? Stacey Brantley: yeah. Exactly. I gotta go. Sheena: Yeah. Right. Music blasting or quiet and focused. Stacey Brantley: Definitely music blasting. Sheena: yes. I need that distraction. I hear you. Stacey Brantley: Mm. Sheena: Socks or barefoot? Stacey Brantley: we have so many cute grip socks in the studio, so a hundred percent socks. Sheena: Luckily those don't need to be seamed. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Sheena: describe Body Bar Highlands Ranch in three words. Stacey Brantley: Ooh how about welcoming athletic and Unintimidating. Sheena: yeah, what's one thing you'll always find in your gym bag? Stacey Brantley: Deodorant. Sheena: Actually that's so smart because I find I have a natural deodorant and if I take a class I'm like, my gosh, I need more. Like doesn't last very well. Yeah. Stacey Brantley: Yeah. Keep it in my car, keep it everywhere. I'm always always moving. Sheena: So smart. And then what's harder? Opening a business or taking a body bar class? Stacey Brantley: gosh. that depends on the day, but probably opening a business. Sheena: Yeah. All right. And then last rapid fire question that I ask every single person on this podcast. What made you, Stacy, sweat this week?
