- Jessica Figueroa: Good morning, listeners. Today we're going to explore our creative side here together on the podcast. So the other night, my daughters, they make birthday cards for people. I've bought them just this hundred pack of blank cards on Amazon where it's like a tent-style card, but it's like a nice card stock with an envelope. And they've always created their own cards. What I didn't know was going to happen over the years is they got really good at creating greeting cards. They looked up different designs, they looked on Pinterest. They imitate and now they make these beautiful cards. Well, the other night they were making ones for my nephew, and I sat down and started to make my own, imitating designs I've seen them make over the years. And I it was like coloring. I had such a good time. I took out the colored pencils and I made this card and then I wrote in it. And I was as proud of the design on this card and what I wrote as they were every time they show me. And it was so refreshing to use a creative side of myself. to do something, finish it knowing I was gonna bring joy. So guess what we're doing just for today? We're gonna write a card to someone. And if you don't have card stock, I want you to just take a blank piece of paper, draw something on the outside, thinking of you, get better soon, happy birthday, and really draw something. Try to imitate a greeting card, then write your greeting card in the inside and then give it to that person, mail it to that person, whatever you need to do. But unleashing our creative side requires using it. We have to find ways to continue to use our creativity because creativity is not just drawing a picture, a painting, or acting or dancing. Creativity is required to solve all of life's problems. Any problem requires creativity. So if we're not practicing our creative outlets in different areas, then our problem solving goes down, our decision making goes down because we can't think of many solutions. So just for today, we are going to write a letter or a card to someone, but we're going to design it. Like a greeting card, a picture, a funny word, something like that. Because we practice using our creative sides so that when we need our creative sides to help us solve life's problems, we have them available to us. Do you know what I love? I love getting to do this t here with you guys, where we really change our lives one little thing at a time and committing to doing it over and over and over again. That's it. So just for today. And I will see you guys tomorrow.
