Born with multiple epiphyseal dysplasia, a condition affecting bone development, David went on to become an elite Class 6 para table tennis player, representing Great Britain at three Paralympic Games: Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016.
You may have seen David without even knowing his name. At London 2012, he produced one of the most iconic moments of the Games — an incredible diving table tennis winner while playing with a crutch, a shot that went viral around the world.
