- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40Hi, it's Adam here and in this episode of the.
- 0:43Hypnotist, you're. Going to be listening to a short
- 0:46hypnosis session created at the end of a client session where I
- 0:51was working with a client that. Was addicted to a.
- 0:54Particular substance. I'm not going to name what the
- 0:56substance was because I think this recording would.
- 1:01Be useful. For anyone.
- 1:03But wants. To make a different decision in
- 1:07a social situation than maybe they would.
- 1:11If they. Didn't mentally prepare how they
- 1:14wanted to be. So it.
- 1:15Could be something like alcohol, it could be cigarettes, it could
- 1:19be weed, it could be cocaine, it could be.
- 1:21Any. Substance that an individual.
- 1:24Would. Normally use around certain
- 1:27people, but. They can.
- 1:29Frame that future event as. A battle that.
- 1:33If they are victorious in that battle, then the war is
- 1:37winnable. And I appreciate military
- 1:39metaphors aren't ideal for every situation, but it was relevant
- 1:43for. This particular.
- 1:44Client and. There was. 2 events in quite
- 1:49close proximity. That.
- 1:52It would be unheard. Of.
- 1:54For them not to do a particular recreational drug and therefore
- 2:01that's why. It would be such.
- 2:03A powerful statement of intent for them to do something
- 2:07different. So.
- 2:08If you want to change your future behavior and there's
- 2:12something coming up in your diary, then I think this very
- 2:15short hypnosis session could be useful.
- 2:17Obviously it was created for an individual.
- 2:19Some of the references might not really resonate with you, so if
- 2:21you like the idea of a. Bespoke.
- 2:24Session customized to you and your needs.
- 2:26There will be a link in the show notes where you can schedule
- 2:28that free consultation call. For now though, find a quiet,
- 2:32comfortable place where you won't be disturbed.
- 2:34Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 3:09you breathe in, breathe in a resourceful feeling of calm and
- 3:14relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 3:22yourself to let go of any feelings of tension around your
- 3:27eyelids, in your jaw, around your neck or your shoulders.
- 3:32Just feel that tension leaving your body in your outward
- 3:36breath. And as you breathe in, breathe
- 3:41in a deeper, longer feeling of resourceful relaxation.
- 3:47And as you exhale, either allow your eyelids to close, or if
- 3:55they're already closed, just allow them to feel even more
- 3:59relaxed, enabling you to focus more on the sound of my voice.
- 4:08Notice your breathing. Start to slow down, breathing in
- 4:14for longer, exhaling slow, long outward breath as you feel that
- 4:24you're drifting into a place where it becomes easier to
- 4:30imagine a future that you do want.
- 4:37I want you to get a sense that sometimes changing something
- 4:43forever feels like a monumental task.
- 4:50But what if the way you change something forever is just
- 4:55winning two or three significant victories?
- 5:04Things in your life that could go one way, but when they go a
- 5:07different way feels like a victory?
- 5:12And what if one victory leads to another victory, and before long
- 5:21it feels like you have so much more choice?
- 5:28I want you to get a sense that when the why is strong enough,
- 5:37the how becomes secondary. When something is so important,
- 5:46you'll always find a way. I want you to create an image in
- 5:54your mind of those people that are most important to you.
- 6:04Picture their faces, feel that, love that connection with those,
- 6:13and get a sense that these people are more important than
- 6:19anything else. If you had to choose between one
- 6:26thing and them, they would win every time and just entertain a
- 6:36thought. Not because it's real, just
- 6:39because it's useful. But if the next time you were to
- 6:44do one thing, you would lose the people you love the most, get a
- 6:51sense of how easy it would be to not do that thing.
- 7:02I want you to recall a recent victory, a time when you could
- 7:07have done something but made the decision not to.
- 7:12Maybe that was last night or maybe a different time, but
- 7:16recall that victory as you feel it's easier to be victorious
- 7:25when you're coming off the back of a previous victory.
- 7:33And I want you to think of something in your future.
- 7:39Maybe it's tonight or in the very near future, and I want you
- 7:45to treat this not as a challenge, but as an
- 7:51opportunity. An opportunity to win a
- 7:56significant battle. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 8:04a version of you like you're watching someone else handle
- 8:09that occasion, in the way that would represent you winning a
- 8:15battle in a way that would mean you're victorious.
- 8:22An epic statement of intent. Maybe you can see yourself
- 8:29getting ready for the evening, messaging certain people in
- 8:34advance to manage expectations. Maybe see yourself arriving
- 8:39somewhere. Maybe see yourself enjoying food
- 8:44or something else and notice that you're drinking any alcohol
- 8:49slower. See how much water you're
- 8:57drinking, see that you're enjoying yourself.
- 9:03But there is an element of vigilance, responsibility,
- 9:12confidence. And I want you to see that
- 9:15version of you navigating situations that in the past
- 9:21would have gone a different way. But in this future, they go
- 9:26exactly the way you would want them to see yourself,
- 9:33communicating clearly, confidently what you're willing
- 9:40to do and not willing to do, with a very clear reason for it.
- 9:44And perhaps later on there is an invitation to join people
- 9:55somewhere else and maybe see yourself politely declining yet
- 10:03another statement of intent, a statement that you're taking
- 10:13your life in a different direction, a different
- 10:21trajectory. And when you've seen that
- 10:30evening go the way you would want it to, just rewind it to
- 10:36before the evening started and then step into that version of
- 10:39you feel like you're experiencing it from a first
- 10:44person perspective. Fearless sense of confidence,
- 10:56relaxation. This feels like an opportunity
- 11:05to take control of something that has been haunting you,
- 11:11holding you for a while. And maybe you.
- 11:15Imagine communicating with people in advance.
- 11:23Imagine being offered something and politely, confidently
- 11:29declining because of a clear reason, making a choice to spend
- 11:36time with one person rather than others.
- 11:44And as the evening comes to an end, feel that this has been an
- 11:50epic victory, a statement of intent.
- 11:57You've won. And then imagine going forwards
- 12:02in time to whatever the next challenge would be, and imagine
- 12:11where you would be and see yourself handling that situation
- 12:16the way you would want to and notice it's easier coming off a
- 12:22big victory. See yourself clearly,
- 12:28confidently communicating, maybe drinking less alcohol but not
- 12:38having a worse experience. See yourself enjoying it more
- 12:42because there's a feeling of being in control, enjoying the
- 12:46food, enjoying the conversations, enjoying the
- 12:51connection with other people without the need for anything
- 12:55else. See it going exactly as you
- 13:01would want it to. And with certain people, the
- 13:05more tenacious or the more influence they try and exert,
- 13:11the more it makes you more adamant, more determined to be
- 13:19the version of you you want to be.
- 13:24See yourself having a great evening, a nine out of 10, a 10
- 13:30out of 10 evening without the need for anything else.
- 13:38I want you to get a sense that it's happening the way you would
- 13:42want it to happen. See yourself like someone else
- 13:46and feeling a sense of respect, admiration for that version of
- 13:51you handling it in that way, and then rewind it.
- 13:55Jump into that version of you feel that you're experiencing it
- 14:00in advance from a first person perspective.
- 14:03You're in your own body, enjoying the evening and not
- 14:08needing anything else that could risk risk the future that you're
- 14:17steering your life towards. Feel you're getting the upside
- 14:23without the downside. Feel a sense of pride in your
- 14:27discernment that you're prioritizing things that you
- 14:34value the most. And just get a sense of feeling
- 14:39proud of yourself. As you imagine experiencing
- 14:49these futures in advance, feel a sense of victory.
- 14:53Feel a sense that if you can handle these situations, you
- 14:58could handle many more similar situations.
- 15:02That it feels like to change your life is like winning the
- 15:06war, and to win the war, all it takes is to feel like you can
- 15:12win a few battles in a row and then everything changes.
- 15:23I want you to feel like you're returning to the here and now,
- 15:26the present, but with the sense that you've got this, you can
- 15:30handle this. You are prioritizing what is
- 15:35most important to you, increasing the quality of your
- 15:40life and losing very little. So take a deep breath in through
- 15:45your nose, bend out through your nose, just wiggle your fingers
- 15:51and wiggle your toes. Connect fully into the here and
- 15:53now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 16:00Starting to count 123, waking up 456, more alert 7-8.
- 16:11Open your eyes. Open your eyes 9:10.
- 16:15Wide awake. Wide awake.
