  I'm Lindsay Vernick and today is August 24th, 2026.

  Oh my god, has it been a week?

  I wasn't gonna do a sarcasm, but I'm quote-unquote off today,

  which just means I'm not filming. You know, I'm supposed to not be working, but obviously I have to.

  So I just wanted to like quick update everybody and tell you what my life is
• 1:15
  like right now because it is wild.
• 1:18
  So today we're just gonna take a break from the news and I'm gonna tell you
• 1:22
  all about my first week of working on this crazy dating competition show,
• 1:28
  so you're probably thinking oh my god that's so cool you're a producer on a
• 1:32
  dating show like what does that even mean.
• 1:34
  Let me tell you, it's a lot. I'm essentially a camp counselor.
• 1:39
  I think that's a pretty good way to put it.
• 1:42
  And it's kind of like I'm taking these cast members, like these kids.
• 1:47
  They're actually not even kids. They're literally a few years younger than me.
• 1:50
  But I'm taking them on this trip and it's just managing them and making sure,
• 1:57
  they're doing what they're supposed to be doing and having fun, but,
• 2:01
  also making sure that they're eating and they're taking care of themselves and
• 2:05
  they're getting what they need all that kind of fun stuff,
• 2:08
  and so I'm managing that and then it's also like we're going to a bunch of different
• 2:13
  cities so I'm having to like also prep at the same time of like booking things
• 2:18
  for like the future cities too and like making sure that's in place for when we go there,
• 2:22
  and also just like managing all the little fires throughout the day and all
• 2:25
  the little changes and working with like the director and the camera team to
• 2:30
  making sure everybody's on the same page because it's like a 60-person crew. It's crazy big.

  I've never worked on a show this big before.
• 2:38
  Okay, what else? Okay, now let me tell you about the funny stories that I've had.

  So the first day we had like a photo shoot with them and I was like,
• 2:50
  we asked them all cast members for their favorite songs.
• 2:53
  Like when I was on Sexy Beast, they put, they asked me for my favorite music
• 2:58
  and they played it for me like during the photo shoot, just to like get them
• 3:01
  in the mood, you know, to like hype you up and stuff.
• 3:04
  And every, so I was running the photo shoot the first day and every cast member
• 3:10
  who almost every single cast member who walked into the photo shoot,
• 3:14
  I turned on their playlist and they were like, wow, I love this song.
• 3:18
  This is my favorite. Like, that's so cool that you did that.
• 3:22
  What a coincidence. And I said, well, it's not really coincidence because you gave us these songs.
• 3:28
  I've actually been doing some
• 3:29
  of my standup for some of them and they're getting such a kick out of it.
• 3:36
  It's funny. I had to do like a whole set for the cast the other day.
• 3:40
  So that was fun. Not really. And then go back to that ad, going back to that
• 3:45
  ad from earlier today, I told the other day, I'm like talking to the girl cast
• 3:51
  and telling them like how we're going to go to the club tonight.
• 3:54
  And the girls, you know, it's been a long day, right? Like it's a lot going on.
• 3:59
  And I was like, well, you know what guys, like if you don't want to do,
• 4:03
  if you guys don't want to, you don't have to stay out all night like you guys
• 4:06
  can go home and they were like wait what because literally just an hour before someone got eliminated.
• 4:12
  From the show and I was like what do you mean go home they're like we don't
• 4:15
  want to go home and I was like no no I'm sorry I'm in the hotel room I'm calling
• 4:19
  the hotel room home because I keep now calling because when you live on the
• 4:23
  road like this your hotel rooms literally do become your home.
• 4:28
  Sorry, just one or two other stories because I literally have to get back to
• 4:32
  work and I have no time to do this. I'm so sorry.

  But I will try to update you guys again.

  One other fun one. The other day I was waiting with a couple,
• 4:45
  like literally like a couple of our cast members, a guy and a girl,
• 4:48
  and we were waiting to go to dinner, like a cast dinner.
• 4:52
  And in Vegas, like they had these like cookie shots.
• 4:56
  So it's like a milk literally in a cookie is the biggest gimmick.
• 4:59
  I think they're like not and by the way, vegas is so stupid expensive I didn't
• 5:04
  even drink in vegas Did I no I didn't I didn't even drink or party Or gamble
• 5:10
  actually. No, I did gamble in vegas. Sorry.
• 5:12
  I was so excited I told everybody I wanted to do sorry I'm getting so sidetracked
• 5:17
  But I told everybody I wanted to gamble in vegas and I made it a big thing.
• 5:22
  I'm like, let's go to the tables so I like brought two other producers along
• 5:27
  to the tables and we sit down I was so excited let's play some blackjack I realized my I left my.
• 5:34
  Regular state ID upstairs. I only had my global entry card on me,
• 5:38
  so they wouldn't let me use that. So I couldn't play. I ended up losing $20
• 5:42
  on the slots. Slots are so boring.
• 5:46
  I think they're the most boring thing. And then I played again at the airport.
• 5:50
  I took out $40, but I only spent $20 because I'm like, this is not fun.
• 5:55
  And you just lose money on these things. I don't understand the addiction with it.
• 5:59
  Anyway, back to the original story.

  So I'm sitting with the cast members and in Vegas at the slot machines were
• 6:07
  waiting for like to go into dinner to film that.
• 6:11
  And I was like, guys, do you guys want to do like a cookie shot?
• 6:15
  And the one girl was like, yes. Oh my God, let's do a shot.
• 6:19
  And I was like, no, like it's like a, there's no alcohol in it.
• 6:22
  It's just like a milk and cookie shot.
• 6:24
  She was like, oh. And I was like, did you really just think I was about to go
• 6:28
  take a shot? Like randomly go off and tell you guys I'm going to go do a shot
• 6:32
  and come back to work like we're working right now anyway so that was funny.
• 6:37
  But yeah, that's pretty much that's happening. I spent the weekend at this gorgeous estate in Napa.
• 6:45
  And today I am headed to Chicago, literally for the night. And then I head to New Orleans after.
• 6:53
  So I will try to keep track of more of what's going on.
• 6:58
  But yeah, it's just I've been slammed. I've never been I say this on every show.

  I've never been so busy in my life.
• 7:04
  But what i'm really loving about the show is like i'm finally able to like really
• 7:08
  produce i've never really been able to like Stand in front of a camera and like
• 7:14
  ask, you know interview the contestants
• 7:17
  and really have a say in the show and be kind of looked at as like,
• 7:23
  Even level as all the other producers on the show And now that i've been a producer
• 7:28
  now for a few years, it's really cool to watch You know to be able to finally do this,
• 7:33
  like i was telling my friends this i send my friends these like really long
• 7:38
  voice memos to catch them up so this is just turning into a really long voice
• 7:42
  memo to catch you guys up essentially.
• 7:45
  But like, it's really cool how like the other night I was at dinner and I'm
• 7:49
  always just like, when we're filming these dinners and these other scenes,
• 7:52
  I've always just kind of like been there to help the producers.
• 7:55
  But now to be able to like be at these dinners and actually be able to go up
• 7:59
  to a cast member and like whisper in their ear and be like, hey,
• 8:02
  I see that you're upset and I think that you should say something.
• 8:06
  And being able to have that ability now is really cool. so yeah i'm just like
• 8:09
  a real life producer and everyone's making fun of me because i've been putting
• 8:15
  this like gross green powder in my water bottles and it looks disgusting but also like,
• 8:20
  it's the knockoff version of ag1 but also i left that at vegas in the vegas
• 8:27
  villa on the 69th floor penthouse so,
• 8:31
  i don't think i'm getting that back and i think everyone's gonna make fun of me if i I order more.

  Okay, this was a great update. I seriously have to get back to work now,
