- 0:00SPEAKER_01: What is holding you back as a realtor from growing your business at the speed and the rate that you want to grow it at may not be what you think.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go over today.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna break down why so many agents are letting a lack of commitment hold them back.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: A lack of commitment is what's keeping you where you're currently at.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: I'll explain right now.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: I'd love to buy houses, I'd like to sell houses.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: What is up, everybody?
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Welcome to episode 186 of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Kind of got tongue-tied there.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: I forgot what episode we're on.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: 186 of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Welcome.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: So glad you're here today.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: This is going to be a shorter episode, but we're going to dive deep on some fundamentals, some basic concepts that a lot of us look past because we're looking for tactics.
- 1:10SPEAKER_01: We're looking for the strategy, the thing, the how-to, that just tell me which things to do, and I'll my business will explode.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I know that so many of you are there because I was there.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I was there looking for the strategic or tactical thing, the informational thing that I could implement, and it would take me from 20 sales to 100.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: But what I found is that that's usually not the case.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, you do need some tactics.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: You absolutely need to do some sp some specific things.
- 1:42SPEAKER_01: But if your brain is broken, if there's a hole in the bottom of the bucket, so to speak, if the foundation is weak, then it's just not going to, you're not going to see the growth that you should if you had the foundation solid.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: So we're going to go over what that foundation is today.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: If you are brand new to the Massive Agent Podcast or have a horrible short-term memory, which, you know, might might be the case.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: I don't remember what I had for breakfast.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: So who am I to judge?
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: Welcome.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: I'm Dustin Brome, your host.
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: I am an agent in Salt Lake City, Utah, and I am the co-founder of the Industry Syndicate Podcast Network.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: I am a speaker and trainer on all things real estate marketing, social media, lead generation, podcasting.
- 2:24SPEAKER_01: Ultimately, I'm a marketer who sells homes, and I now run a team of about 180 agents around the country and in Canada.
- 2:31SPEAKER_01: And uh, and that's a lot of fun.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Um I love helping other agents and um you know sharing the path that I've been on, the journey that I've been on over the last 11 or so years as an agent, because I know a lot of you guys are maybe a step or two or three behind where I'm currently at.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: And you know, you don't you don't know what you don't know.
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: So I'm here today in this episode to kind of shine light on some on some mental shit, some some stuff that like some basic concepts that you're not thinking about because when I was where you're at, I wasn't thinking about them either.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: So I'm so glad you guys are here today.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Um, real quick before I jump into the bulk of that, make sure that you guys jump over to massive agentbootcamp.com.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: Here's what's super cool.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: It's been all females.
- 3:20SPEAKER_01: You females are badasses, and you are jumping in, you're like, I'm doing this thing.
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: So you heard me talk about that a little bit last week and then the intro to the podcast.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: So just make sure you go over there.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: There are still some spots available.
- 3:31SPEAKER_01: So go grab yours today.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: The reason why some of you guys aren't jumping on the boot camp when you want to and need to is what I'm gonna be talking about today.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I'm gonna back up to when I first started as an agent.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: It was uh January 2011, short sales and bank-owned properties all over the place.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: Like that was the market.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: It was a very buyer-friendly market, and buyers could just make offers and sit back and wait and be choosy, and they didn't have to worry about competing offers, usually.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: And you know, this is back when you can pick up a single family house in Salt Lake City's boundaries for$60 or$70,000.
- 4:11SPEAKER_01: Just mind-boggling shit.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Mind-boggling shit.
- 4:14SPEAKER_01: I didn't know anything about the real estate business, and I certainly didn't know anything about marketing.
- 4:19SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I was relying on my mentor, who is a great person, great agent, uh, but just a different personality than me.
- 4:25SPEAKER_01: You've heard me talk about him quite a bit.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: We just have different personalities, and which is fine.
- 4:30SPEAKER_01: I relied on him and because I didn't know any better.
- 4:33SPEAKER_01: I had no, I had no uh concept or perspective of what other agents did, especially super successful agents.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: I my mentor in my eyes was super successful because he made six figures a year.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: I'm like, holy shit, you could you can make six figures a year in this business.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: And I just didn't know that you can make multiple seven figures every year in this business and and work not that many hours.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: Um, I didn't understand.
- 5:00SPEAKER_01: So I I started following him, and I was, you know, I didn't have a network, I didn't have credibility with my contacts.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: I I had a couple friends from high school, they're like, Oh, you got your license?
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: That's cool.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Johnny got his and Susie got hers, and Amanda got theirs, and they're like, Cool.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: So, you know, they weren't jumping out of their seats to hire me, you know, which which I understand.
- 5:24SPEAKER_01: I had to build credibility and I had to grow my network, and they had to get new people to know that I existed.
- 5:30SPEAKER_01: So, how did I do that?
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: Well, at the time, I followed my mentor, and his thing was talk to everybody you see.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: Talk everywhere, like the coffee shop when you're standing in line waiting at Starbucks, chat somebody up about whether or not they own a home and the state of the market, and hit them up in the produce section and the checkout line, and you know, cool.
- 5:49SPEAKER_01: I just nobody likes to be approached like that.
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: I sure as hell don't.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: When it's disingenuous, if it if it's part of a natural conversation with somebody, absolutely.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: But I didn't interpret it that way.
- 6:01SPEAKER_01: I interpreted it as I need to engage people in conversations and as quickly as possible start talking about real estate and that I'd get leads that way.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: Well, I didn't.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: I didn't.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: I just had a lot of awkward con uh conversations, a lot of awkward they weren't even conversations because people are like, all right, done with you.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: See ya, have a good day.
- 6:19SPEAKER_01: You know, like they knew I was just trying to pitch some shit because I was wearing my stupid name tag.
- 6:23SPEAKER_01: My stupid name tag that I was told to wear.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: And then it was calling people on the phone with a script.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: Then it was door knocking and asking, have you thought about selling your house?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: We just sold one down the street.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: And it was just so interesting.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: I didn't have any real results doing that.
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: I sold, I think I got one sale.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: I got one listing from door knocking, and I did door knocking for about a year and a half or so.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: And because of that, I was constantly searching for the next thing.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: Like, what else tactically can I do?
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: And so um, I remember seeing seeing some Facebook ads for something called listing funnels, and it was the whole premise was they have these magical letters that you send to property owners, and they'll just call you and you'll list 10 homes a month.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, that's amazing because I'm listing like zero homes a month, so 10 is better.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: And they looked pretty good.
- 7:14SPEAKER_01: I'm like, that's cool.
- 7:15SPEAKER_01: So I jumped in there and you know, sent some letters, and the way it was sold to me was that it would they just work so damn well.
- 7:21SPEAKER_01: And so I interpreted that as they'll work right away.
- 7:25SPEAKER_01: Well, once I spent a few hundred bucks, first off, to get the program, to dive in, to print all the letters, to get the green envelopes that stuck out in a stack of mail, to get actual stamps and um an actual personalized return address thing so that it looks like it's uh not bulk mail, right?
- 7:45SPEAKER_01: Um once I did all that, and I was doing it all manually, by the way, before I understood the power of leverage.
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: Um it took hours and hours and hours, and then I'd get a few phone calls, and most of those people, uh a few phone calls from the letters that went out, I'd get only a few calls.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: Let's say I sent out 500 and I'd get five calls, and three of them were pissed off that they got a letter in the mail and they wanted to yell at me, which which I've always thought is so weird.
- 8:14SPEAKER_01: Like on Tuesdays, when I go out to the mailbox and there's a stack of coupons from KFC and Dell Taco and RC Willie Home Furnishings and Ashley Furniture and all this bullshit.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Do I get pissed off at KFC?
- 8:27SPEAKER_01: Do I call KFC?
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Like, what are you sending me coupons for?
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: I didn't ask for those.
- 8:31SPEAKER_01: I've always thought it was weird, but people are weird.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: And in this business, we we uncover the weird people, don't we?
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: We just do.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: Um, and so I was super bummed and I'm like, damn it, these letters were supposed to be magical.
- 8:43SPEAKER_01: So what else can I do?
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, there's got to be something else.
- 8:46SPEAKER_01: So then I'm like, well, I need to um sponsor like anytime a salesperson reached out to me, like I was one of those realtors that I'd just be like, okay, you know what they say?
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: If you want to get rich, sell something to a realtor, right?
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: So these people were were selling advertising space on scorecards at certain golf courses, supposedly.
- 9:06SPEAKER_01: So I jumped in on that.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: I'm like, yes, that makes sense.
- 9:08SPEAKER_01: I'll be seen by thousands of golfers every year.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: You know, they did a great job of selling it, and I was an idiot and didn't really think much about it, and I just bought whatever they whatever they were telling me.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, cool, as soon as those are printed, as soon as those hit the golf courses, I'm gonna start getting calls.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: And it didn't get any calls.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: And in fact, that company didn't even like the golf scorecards didn't even exist.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Never even saw one.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: They don't even they don't even know about the company, total scam, bullshit.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I would I kept looking for something else, all the while skipping from one to another, to another, to another.
- 9:42SPEAKER_01: And it wasn't until I went to Google and I searched how to get real estate leads because I needed them because I was starving to death.
- 9:50SPEAKER_01: I don't believe I ever thought about quitting the business, but I knew something just had to happen.
- 9:57SPEAKER_01: I had to make something happen.
- 9:58SPEAKER_01: So I Googled how to get real estate leads.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: And when I did, it it brought me to Easy Agent Pro's website, and I started to learn about content marketing and how there's actually a group of agents out there that are writing articles that people find helpful on topics that are being searched for each day or each month, and they're being found through Google.
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: Consumers are finding these realtors through their articles on Google, going to their websites, and then they're getting business from these consumers.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, holy shit, that's different.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: That's attracting people to you, attracting customers rather than trying to chase people down like I had been.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: And it was very interesting, but I'm like, um, you know what?
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: I don't know.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: And again, I was like, is this just the next thing that I'm jumping to?
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: I had never committed to anything, not really, because I would I kept jumping from one to another to another.
- 10:52SPEAKER_01: Now, in fairness, part of that was because I was trying to find something that I really enjoyed long enough to actually get good at, you know, so that's part of it.
- 11:02SPEAKER_01: Um, so jumping around is not always a bad thing if you are like, oh, that sucks.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: I can't do that forever.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: Oh, that sucks.
- 11:09SPEAKER_01: Can't but if you're honest with yourself, we give up way too easy.
- 11:14SPEAKER_01: I know I did.
- 11:15SPEAKER_01: So then I came across content marketing.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: I'm like, that's great.
- 11:17SPEAKER_01: So what do I need?
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, I need a website.
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: Shit.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, how much is a good website?
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: So I started with the one that my my current my brokerage at the time, uh flat fee brokerage, uh, I went with their website, pro agent websites, absolute garbage, but they provided it and the premium version was like$40 a month extra.
- 11:37SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, hell yes, I'm gonna start that, I'm gonna start blogging on that website.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: Well, absolute garbage because the the founder uh didn't even believe blogging worked, and that um bizarre, absolutely bizarre.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: I'm trying to find the emails from him, but he's like, You blogging doesn't work.
- 11:53SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, a blog is just another website, you know, another page on the website.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: Very weird, but I'm like, this is obviously not the right fit.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: This is really outdated platform, and uh, and so I'm like, well, what's a good one?
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: Like, if I'm gonna do this, I want the best.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: What's the best?
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: And then I find out real estate webmasters and Sierra that a lot of the real estate bloggers that I looked up to, those were$500 to$1,000 a month.
- 12:16SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, can't do that.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: Well, how about Easy Agent Pro?
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: Because I've been learning so much about content marketing from them.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Their websites seem pretty great.
- 12:24SPEAKER_01: What's that?
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, oh, that's only$160 a month.
- 12:28SPEAKER_01: Is I think now it's a little bit more, but at the time it was$160, but it was$500 to start.
- 12:34SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I think I could pull off the$160 a month, but the$500 to start, I don't know how I'm gonna do that.
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: It was this huge hurdle for me, this huge mental hurdle.
- 12:44SPEAKER_01: And so I ended up borrowing the money from my parents.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: And so it was like six six sixty to start the first month plus the startup fee.
- 12:54SPEAKER_01: Something really interesting happened then.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: Um I I thought that hey, this is this is it, but there was something different about this next thing.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: Because to everyone else on the outside, I was just jumping from one thing to another, not committing to anything, but there was something different.
- 13:09SPEAKER_01: A financial commitment that stretched me.
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: It stretched me.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: I had to borrow the money.
- 13:15SPEAKER_01: And because where I was at, that to me then was a lot of money that I thought was a huge investment in my business.
- 13:23SPEAKER_01: And because I thought and felt it was a huge investment, and then I figured out how to make it work, and I did it, and it stretched me, I took it so dead serious.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: That financial commitment that I made, that investment that I made that stretched me, meant everything.
- 13:40SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 13:41SPEAKER_01: I could have gone, you know, there's so many other things I could have done, but I chose blogging and starting a website and picking that website to do it with, and I didn't even go for the most expensive, like not even close.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Not even close.
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: I would have needed thousands and thousands and thousands just to go with one of these fancier sites, which honestly, you don't necessarily need for 98% of you guys.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: But either way, the difference for me was the financial commitment, the commitment that I made, the skin in the game that I had, more than just a you know a couple hundred bucks for letters here or there.
- 14:17SPEAKER_01: I committed, I borrowed the money.
- 14:20SPEAKER_01: I so in my mind, I'm like, this is it.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: I must make this happen.
- 14:26SPEAKER_01: I have what I need now.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: I just have to get my ass to work.
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: And so I took it dead serious.
- 14:30SPEAKER_01: I spent time every single day learning how to blog correctly, how SEO works, uh, what it even meant, you know, like how to how to get your articles seen, how to get other websites linking back to yours so you can pick up link, uh, you know, backlinks and how to build your domain authority and all this stuff, and then also how to actually write an article that people are searching for and that people will actually want to read.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: And so I I firmly believe that because of the financial commitment that stretched me at the time, I made it work.
- 15:04SPEAKER_01: I made it top priority.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: And I wonder if if if it was just if it had been been given to me for free, if I was given free access to some website or whatever, or you know, it was fifty dollars, I wouldn't have taken it that seriously because I, you know, like I if that doesn't work, it's only 50 bucks I can miss out, or it's only 300 bucks a month, I can, you know, whatever.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: I'll just cancel that and move on to the next thing.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: But no, to me it was a big deal.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: So once that happened, like I knew this was it.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: I I'm gonna learn how to blog, I'm gonna do it the right way.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: I committed to it because I had made that commitment and investment.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: From there on, like, everything changed.
- 15:47SPEAKER_01: I I learned how to write great articles, I learned the difference between articles you want to rank in a search engine and articles you want to perform well on social media.
- 15:56SPEAKER_01: Very different things, very different topics.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And I learned the difference and I started to do well with it, and I started to actually get clients, and my business grew, my business exploded.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: And and I look back and I'm like, it was the commitment that I made.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: And every everything that I have not been successful with in my life, it's because I haven't really truly committed, and usually it's because I didn't have skin in the game.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: If you're given something for free, like look, free content, free coaching programs, free workshops and seminars, like cool, that's great.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: You can get a lot from it, but it's all they're also easy to blow off.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: They're also easy to put on the back burner.
- 16:33SPEAKER_01: If you have, if you paid 20 bucks for a virtual mastermind or a your it's a free mastermind and you know you're gonna get the recording from it, how easy is it to blow off and go get coffee, right?
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: Or to go do something or or even anything, right?
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: When you've when you've invested$10,000 or$40,000 into something, you're not gonna blow that shit off.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: You're just not.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: Now make sure it's the right thing that you're investing in, but you're there's no value in free.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Not really, because you have to take whatever you're being given for free serious, and the way to do that is to have skin in the game.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: I firmly believe that so many of you guys listening, what's holding you back the most in your business is not informational, it's not tactical, it's not, you know, doing this this way or doing this strategy or doing this.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: It's not that.
- 17:26SPEAKER_01: You guys know this shit.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: If you've been listening to this show for any period of time, you know what to do, but for some reason, you're not doing it.
- 17:35SPEAKER_01: And maybe, maybe it's just, you know, you've been looking on you this is what I did.
- 17:39SPEAKER_01: I would, when I was learning Facebook ads, I'd watch YouTube videos, I'd read articles, and then trial and error.
- 17:47SPEAKER_01: Well, I what I learned was that was one of the most expensive things that I ever could have done.
- 17:52SPEAKER_01: Not taking the course, not hiring the coach, not uh you know, condensing time, like you know, taking what I what took me over a year to learn, I could have learned in two months, three months, or something if I had just hired somebody or taking a course, how expensive was that decision?
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: Now eventually I learned, but if it takes an extra 10 months to get good at something or to be able to implement something that you know you're trying to go it alone to save money, if it takes an extra 10 months, what about the homes that you would have sold over those 10 months?
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: By missing out on that, isn't that an expense?
- 18:32SPEAKER_01: See, we see we see taking the course, hiring the coach, getting the website, um, you know, hiring an assistant, hiring a transaction coordinator, outsourcing somebody mowing your damn lawns.
- 18:44SPEAKER_01: We see that as an expense.
- 18:45SPEAKER_01: But is it really is it really an expense?
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Because the time that you're spending doing that, what if you were doing income-producing activities and you sold an extra five homes every single month in the meantime?
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: So you could be making literally a multimillion dollar mistake by not making an investment in something, in a in a a coach, a system, uh, a boot camp, um uh a course, going to a mastermind, going to a training, going to a conference for your brokerage, any of those things, uh, you know, something that can help you condense how long it's gonna take you to get the results that you need.
- 19:26SPEAKER_01: You need to not pay for information, you need to pay for implementation.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: And sometimes when you go to a mastermind or go to a conference and you're, you know, you're at dinner one night or you're sitting at the bar and you you're sitting next to somebody that sells 300 homes a year, and you're like, huh, how do you do this?
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: What was the first hire you made?
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: How do you compensate them?
- 19:45SPEAKER_01: How do you do this, that, and the other?
- 19:47SPEAKER_01: And and they tell you, and you're like, I haven't seen that in any YouTube video.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: I haven't heard that shit in any podcast before.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: And now I know these few things, and I believe I can do it because I just talked to someone who did.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: Maybe it takes maybe it cost you 3,000 bucks to go to the conference with all the ticket and the travel and everything, but you go back home, implement it now, and uh pretty soon you start selling more homes.
- 20:10SPEAKER_01: Was that an expense?
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: I think you know the answer to that.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: It is absolutely not an expense, it was an investment and a wise one.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: This is why I harp on you guys so much about investing in yourself.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: I've never lost money investing in myself.
- 20:28SPEAKER_01: I've had certain things that maybe didn't work out the way that I thought they would, but I sh look, you you either win or you learn.
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: It either works or you learn.
- 20:41SPEAKER_01: If it doesn't work, you learn something.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Investing in yourself is so important because you learn maybe the way not to do something, or that something doesn't work for you, or you're not interested in doing that way, or you didn't know that this other way existed, but you just spent money over here.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, that's part of the process.
- 20:59SPEAKER_01: You're investing in yourself.
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: If you can invest in yourself and and find someone who can hold your hand and help you implement what it is that you want to build, whether that's growing a team, starting your own brokerage, or just a sales process to help you go from three sales a month to 10.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: You know, find someone who's done it and then hire them.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: Hire them and then do the shit.
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: It usually will take a financial commitment to hire somebody because anyone who's worth a damn, anyone who's worth hiring, who's who's at the level that you want to get to, their time is extremely valuable.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: So why would they give up hours of their time without being compensated for it?
- 21:46SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: They may want to.
- 21:48SPEAKER_01: It's not that they don't want to help you, and it's not that they don't want to mentor you for free, but they they still have their business.
- 21:57SPEAKER_01: They know what the highest to best use of their time is.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: So So, if you if you have some skin in the game, not only are they going to be excited to help you because they're being compensated for it, and they don't see it as a distraction anymore.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: They see it as, okay, this is just part of what I'm doing to help.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: But also you've made a commitment and you're going to take it very damn seriously.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: The lack of commitment in among real estate agents, skipping from one thing to another, to another, to another, thinking that it's informational or a strategy, that is why your business is not growing.
- 22:27SPEAKER_01: Your foundation's broken.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: You need to commit.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: You need to invest in yourself.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: And I promise you, that right there is most likely the catalyst for seeing the kind of growth that you want in the time frame you want it to happen.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: I've seen absolute magic happen physically for me and my wife since we hired our fitness coach and nutrition coach.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: Uh, in three months, I cut my body fat in half.
- 22:53SPEAKER_01: I got a six-pack in three months.
- 22:55SPEAKER_01: I I got to a weight.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: Uh I think the lowest I weighed, right now I weigh like 165.
- 23:02SPEAKER_01: I weighed 155.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: I had no fat, and it happened in three months.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: Nuts.
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: I never would have known that that was possible.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: But I hired the most expensive coach in the fitness industry, one of them.
- 23:14SPEAKER_01: At the time I thought it was insane, but I'm like, something tells me I need to do this.
- 23:18SPEAKER_01: I did it, and I'm like, wow, my investment made me take it very, very seriously, top priority, and I did it.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: I followed it to a T, and not just some of it.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: When you're making a large investment, you follow all of it to a T and you ask for help when you need it because you know that that's what they're there for.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: And then after that experience, my fitness coach told me that he had a mindset coach that helped his business go from$20,000 a month to now$400,000 in revenue every month.
- 23:47SPEAKER_01: And that coach cost him$40,000.
- 23:49SPEAKER_01: When he told me that, I'm like, holy shit, a coach for$40,000.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: That's nuts.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: Well, guess what my wife and I just did?
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: We both hired the coach and went to one of his events in Scottsdale.
- 23:58SPEAKER_01: Absolutely mind-blowing how fast results can happen when you make a financial commitment.
- 24:05SPEAKER_01: That has been what I've been missing for so long because I was looking for the free option, the free workshop, the free seminar, the$10 ebook, whatever, when I needed the$40,000 coach or this the$6,000 fitness program.
- 24:20SPEAKER_01: You guys see where I'm going with this?
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: You need to make financial investments in yourself.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: That investment is a commitment that you're making, and something inside your brain clicks, and you just start to get the results because you're doing it, you're taking it seriously.
- 24:37SPEAKER_01: A lot of it's subconscious, guys.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: But the subconscious is extremely powerful.
- 24:42SPEAKER_01: Your conscious thinking is like the tip of the iceberg.
- 24:45SPEAKER_01: Then there's the iceberg under the water, that's your subconscious.
- 24:49SPEAKER_01: Most of us don't even think about what's happening subconsciously, but that's the vast majority of our brains.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: Kind of important.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: So if you can send signals to your subconscious, like investing in yourself and making a commitment, crazy shit happens crazy fast.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: I hope this has been helpful for you guys.
- 25:08SPEAKER_01: Uh this has been absolutely life-changing for me.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: And um I really want to see you guys succeed.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: I a handful of you guys that that I know and that I speak to regularly through social media, and I see you from afar, you know, you're you're growing, but it's like you're going from two homes to three, three homes to four.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: And then there's others out there going from 10 homes sold to a hundred within a year or two.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: And they're just making bigger commitments.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: Those that are winning fast and seeing results super fast are making bigger commitments.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: They're being more decisive, they're making bigger commitments, and they're investing in themselves.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: Every single freaking one of them, you go talk to one of them, ask them what they've been doing, they've been investing in themselves in one way, shape, or form.
- 25:51SPEAKER_01: I guarantee them to you.
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: So if you aspire to be one of those people, if you want to run a team, if you want to do a hundred sales a year, if you want to sell a thousand homes, whatever it is, then you better be doing what those that do that stuff already are doing.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Commitment, guys.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: Make financial commitments, commit to a strategy, commit to a way of moving forward, because the one that chases two rabbits catches none.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: The one that chases four rabbits is just a fool.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: It's just an idiot.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: You look like an idiot running around trying to chase four different rabbits.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: Chase one so you can catch it.
- 26:29SPEAKER_01: Thank you guys for tuning in this week to the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: Um, make sure if you haven't, go listen to last week's episode, episode 185 with Todd Duncan.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I don't do this very often with my own podcast, but I've gone back and listened three times.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: I've listened to my own show, my own interview with Todd Duncan three different times because it's that good.
- 26:51SPEAKER_01: Uh, it's along the lines of what we're talking about today, and then some.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: But uh I challenge you guys, if you haven't heard that yet, please do.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: And also hire a transaction coordinator.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: It's such a minimal expense.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: A few hundred bucks per transaction paid upon closing.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: Hire somebody to put your signs up and take them down.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Okay, it's don't be driving an hour this way, an hour that way, just to take down a sign that costs you 50 bucks.
- 27:14SPEAKER_01: It's ridiculous.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: It's ridiculous.
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: Stop cutting your own grass, okay?
- 27:19SPEAKER_01: Hire house cleaners when prudent.
- 27:23SPEAKER_01: You guys need to focus on income-producing activities.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: I'm just gonna keep saying it till I'm blue in the face, because doing that stuff, as simple as it sounds, or as much of it as an I know what you guys are thinking, well, it's an expense, I can't afford that.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: I promise you, if you do it incrementally and start doing certain things to free up your time to focus on income-producing activities, you're gonna look back and be like, what an idiot.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: I couldn't I cannot afford not to do this stuff.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: You hear that all the time.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: It's expensive, I can't afford it.
- 27:51SPEAKER_01: Well, you can't afford not to.
- 27:53SPEAKER_01: You probably don't understand that yet.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: If you're in the if you're in the place that I think you are, if you're listening to this still at this point in the podcast, and this is resonating with you, just trust me and trust everyone else that says it, everyone else that you're looking up to that's trying to bring you with, just trust that you can't afford not to.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: I want nothing but the best for you guys.
- 28:18SPEAKER_01: Part of the reason um I did this show is I really wanted you guys before it sells out to understand how impactful the Massive Agent Social Boot Camp can be.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: It's what you're paying for is implementation.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: We limited it to only 20 people because you're gonna have I've never done this before, never never done this before, but you're gonna have direct access to me through Voxer between sessions.
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: So if you have questions, if you run into issues with implementing something, you're gonna have access.
- 28:46SPEAKER_01: You're not gonna have to wait for the next session to ask a question.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: Um, I can't do that for very many people.
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: It's a$10,000 value in and of itself over a two-month period.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: So um that's being thrown in for every attendee.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: This is one of those things for a very small financial commitment, you can have a very big impact and actually implement the stuff.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: So go get all the details over at massiveagentbootcamp.com.
- 29:11SPEAKER_01: Watch the video over there if you're looking for some more of the details.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: But uh we focus on helping you implement four main pillars that are gonna help you absolutely crush it.
- 29:20SPEAKER_01: Guys, if you're not getting 50% of your deals from social media, you're doing it wrong.
- 29:24SPEAKER_01: You're doing it wrong.
- 29:25SPEAKER_01: So we're gonna show you exactly how to do it right, among other things, how to get 10 times more reviews so that people hire you when they search for a local realtor.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Are you being found on Google when people search for a local realtor right now?
- 29:37SPEAKER_01: Probably not.
- 29:39SPEAKER_01: Probably one of your giant competitors is.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: Well, you can show up there.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: We'll show you how.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: We'll walk your hands through setting it up and other things.
- 29:46SPEAKER_01: So MastiffAgentbootcamp.com, check it out, guys.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: There's only uh there's not that many spots left.
- 29:50SPEAKER_01: So go check it out at the website and uh hope to see you guys there.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: But thank you for listening.
- 29:56SPEAKER_01: Please take what I talked about today to heart.
- 29:59SPEAKER_01: And if you do, I promise you, you'll be one of the success stories.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: You'll be one of those people telling their own success stories in the next six months or a year, or even the next 60 days.
- 30:09SPEAKER_01: Crazy stuff, guys.
- 30:10SPEAKER_01: Crazy stuff.
- 30:11SPEAKER_01: The stuff that we overlook because we're looking for tactics.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: You need to think differently, and you need you need to make a financial commitment.
- 30:21SPEAKER_01: Appreciate it, guys.
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: See you back next week for another episode of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: Have a great weekend.
