- 0:00Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:40It's Adam here, and in this episode of The Hypnotist, you're
- 0:44going to be listening to a weight loss hypnosis session
- 0:48with a difference in the sense. That I was.
- 0:51Working with a client that had previously been a very keen long
- 0:57distance runner and they would do marathons for fun and they
- 1:01would do very long distances and.
- 1:05They'd. Started training again, but
- 1:07certainly they weren't back to where they were before, but they
- 1:11were getting a consistency and enthusiasm for it.
- 1:16But they felt hindered by the fact that they were carrying
- 1:19around about 30 lbs of excess body fat that was making it more
- 1:23challenging to do the training runs than if they didn't have
- 1:28that excess weight. So what you're going to hear in
- 1:30this hypnosis session is a way of framing that as a way of
- 1:34enhancing the challenge of the training.
- 1:39That leads to. The very melting away of that
- 1:43excess body fat. So there are principles here.
- 1:46Of. Ketogenics or and and ketogenics
- 1:50if you're not familiar with ketosis, is the process by which
- 1:54the human body turns fat into energy.
- 2:00Lots of framing of the things that put people off training.
- 2:05So wet weather, wind. Let's say the.
- 2:10Coldness, darkness, hills as. A way of.
- 2:15Making it give them resilience that the adversity is what
- 2:21actually gives them the ability to handle future challenges.
- 2:26And there's, there's truth to all of these things.
- 2:28It's not just kind of hypnotic affirmations.
- 2:32If you train when you've got more body fat, your body is
- 2:34going to burn more calories than if you've got less because
- 2:37you're carrying excess weight. It's no different from if you
- 2:42voluntarily did a two mile run or a five mile run and carried
- 2:47around big heavy weights. Around with you.
- 2:50That's going to be more challenging than if you didn't,
- 2:52you're going to burn more calories.
- 2:54So there's lots of very powerful principles in this.
- 2:57And the client knew that they'd already booked 1/2 marathon,
- 3:02they were planning a full marathon, and they wanted to
- 3:05feel like they were losing the body fat in preparation for
- 3:09them. So at this time of year, and I
- 3:12appreciate the point where I'm probably going to publish this
- 3:16probably is going to be between Christmas and New Year.
- 3:18And a lot of people are making resolutions, resolutions to get
- 3:22fit, resolutions to lose body fat, to become slimmer, become
- 3:27healthier. And if any of those things apply
- 3:30to you, then I think you will benefit from this session.
- 3:33But equally, bear in mind it was created for a client that had a
- 3:37lot of experience doing very long runs and therefore they're
- 3:41going to perceive this session may be different from how you
- 3:45would if you like the idea of working with me directly and
- 3:49then we can actually build the sessions bespoke to you and your
- 3:53circumstances. Check out the link in the show
- 3:56notes where you can book a free 30 minute consultation call with
- 3:59me over Zoom or check out my website whichisadamcox.co.uk and
- 4:05you can book that consultation call there.
- 4:07We can have a chat and just figure out if I'm the right
- 4:09person to work with you or not when it comes to whatever your
- 4:13goals are for 2025. For now, though, find a quiet,
- 4:17comfortable place where you won't be.
- 4:18Disturbed. Relax.
- 4:21And enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:54you breathe in, just imagine breathing in a wonderful feeling
- 5:00of calm relaxation, and as you exhale, feel a sense of release
- 5:17that you're letting go. Of any.
- 5:20Feelings of tension, stress, any echoes of any thoughts, emotions
- 5:32or feelings that no longer serve you.
- 5:36Feel the melting away and leaving your body in that
- 5:42outward breath. And as you breathe in, just
- 5:49imagine. Breathing in.
- 5:52Slightly deeper, activating that diaphragm feel not just your
- 6:01chest expanding, but your abdomen too, as you breathe in
- 6:08more of that resourceful relaxation.
- 6:13And as you exhale, imagine breathing out slower and longer,
- 6:25and with that elongated breath, feel a wonderful sense of
- 6:36letting go. And as you breathe in and then
- 6:48exhale, notice. Where in your.
- 6:52Body is relaxing more. Perhaps the tiny muscles around
- 7:00your eyes, Maybe you notice relaxation in your shoulder,
- 7:09Maybe there's a feeling of lightness or heaviness in your
- 7:15arms or legs. Or perhaps you can notice a
- 7:23pulse in one finger in particular, and as you breathe
- 7:34in and breathe out and notice that rhythm.
- 7:40I want you to think. Back to a time where you were
- 7:46fit, healthy, that you would run for fun, feel vibrant, full of
- 8:01vitality, and maybe you can recall a particular running
- 8:08route, a training run, or even a competition where everything
- 8:17felt wonderful. So with each breath, just
- 8:25imagine a wave of relaxation flowing through your body,
- 8:33starting at the top of your head and just rippling all the way
- 8:38down to the tips of your toes and with every inhale.
- 8:46Feel like you're. Breathing in energy and focus,
- 8:54and with every exhale feel that you're letting go of any
- 9:00tension, but also distractions and hesitations as you feel
- 9:08yourself sinking deeper and deeper into this wonderful state
- 9:18of calm. A place.
- 9:21Where your mind is clear, your body relaxed, and your focus
- 9:28sharp. And I want you to imagine
- 9:34yourself right at the beginning of a beautiful running trail.
- 9:44It could be a running trail from the past, the present, or just
- 9:50something your mind creates purely in your imagination.
- 9:58And imagine it stretching out in front of you, inviting you to
- 10:05begin your journey. And maybe you can imagine the
- 10:11air being fresh and you feeling strong, feeling confident,
- 10:18feeling ready. And then imagine starting that
- 10:26run. And with each step, each bounce,
- 10:31each rhythm, imagine feeling lighter, as though you're
- 10:37leaving behind anything that no longer serves you.
- 10:44Every step takes you deeper into this relaxed yet focused state,
- 10:54preparing your mind and body for a transformation ahead.
- 11:06And I wonder if you can imagine your body as a finely tuned
- 11:12machine, where every mile you run is like flipping a switch,
- 11:23sending a signal to your body to burn fat as its primary fuel.
- 11:34Maybe you could imagine becoming more efficient with every step.
- 11:40Your muscles, your metabolism, and even your mind are adapting
- 11:48to use stored fat as a powerful source of energy.
- 11:58You don't have 30 lbs of body fat to lose, you have 30 lbs of
- 12:06fuel to put to use. And maybe you could imagine, to
- 12:15make the math simple, for every mile you run, your body burns
- 12:22100 calories of unwanted fat. And maybe you can visualize it
- 12:30now, those parts of your body that you feel that unwanted fat
- 12:38is being stored. And maybe you could imagine,
- 12:43while you're on that run, your body dipping into those
- 12:51reserves, melting away excess fat and using it to fuel your
- 13:02runs. Each step makes you leaner,
- 13:09stronger, and more efficient. And as you reduce the amount of
- 13:17carbs you eat, your body learns quickly that it needs to become
- 13:26even better at burning fat, because you're teaching your
- 13:32body to see fat as a friend of fuel, a reliable, powerful
- 13:43source of energy. For every stride you take, every
- 13:48mile, every hill, feel a wonderful sense of burning that
- 13:56unwanted body fat. And maybe you could imagine that
- 14:08by eating quality protein and healthy fats, you're rebuilding
- 14:16your muscles, strengthening your body, and giving your body that
- 14:22steady energy to continue burning the unwanted body fat.
- 14:34Imagine how quickly your body will adapt so that carbs are
- 14:38simply becoming less necessary because your body knows exactly
- 14:47how to turn that fat into usable, powerful fuel.
- 14:57I want you to imagine perhaps a series of runs may be a route
- 15:04you know well, but this time imagine yourself wearing a
- 15:08rucksack and inside are 60 packs of butter, each pack half a
- 15:21pound. And you know exactly what that
- 15:29butter represents. But feel the weight of those 60
- 15:35packs of butter on a rucksack on your back, just as you're
- 15:43imagining taking that training run.
- 15:51And maybe you can imagine there is a way of feeling empowered by
- 16:02this, like you're training at altitude then instead of running
- 16:10with ankle weights, this excess weight of all of those blocks of
- 16:18butter means that your body wants to burn that fuel.
- 16:29We're burning more calories by running with the excess weight.
- 16:33But also with every run, some of that butter is melting away,
- 16:42meaning the runs get easier and lighter as the days turn into
- 16:51weeks. There's no longer 60 packs of
- 16:56butter in the rucksack. Maybe there's 50 or 40 or even
- 17:02less. The more you run, the more of
- 17:06that butter melts away, and the more of that butter melts away.
- 17:12Running gets easier, the weather gets warmer, the days get
- 17:19longer. The hardest it will ever be is
- 17:25now, and the easier it becomes, the longer and more enjoyable
- 17:35your runs become, creating a wonderful cycle of ever
- 17:42increasing fitness vitality as you imagine more of those packs
- 17:50of butter simply melting away. Perhaps you could imagine a few
- 18:02months from now, the rucksack is so light you realize there's
- 18:10nothing left, nothing to hold you back, nothing to weigh you
- 18:15down. And the same run now happens
- 18:24quicker without you even trying. Your body feels free, light and
- 18:34powerful. I want you to imagine that
- 18:45adversity builds resilience, calluses for the mind.
- 18:53From this point onwards, every time you run in the rain or face
- 18:58cold, wet or windy weather, you're preparing yourself for
- 19:08future adversity. Nothing can phase you.
- 19:15Every hilly run builds your strength and endurance.
- 19:21You are training for every possible condition.
- 19:26There will be no surprises and nothing will phase you.
- 19:33The harder the runs, the more you are becoming unstoppable.
- 19:42Feel the confidence that comes from knowing you are becoming
- 19:47ready for anything. So imagine the coldest, wettest,
- 19:54windiest day while going up a hill and imagine smiling this.
- 20:03Is giving you the gift of resilience from this moment
- 20:14forward. Whenever you run, you'll feel a
- 20:17sense of pride and determination.
- 20:22You'll know that every step, every run, every mile is
- 20:26bringing you closer to your goal.
- 20:31There will be clues. Body fat melting away, runs
- 20:37getting quicker, Clues to improving fitness levels, Extra
- 20:49confidence ideas. A state of flow that you find
- 20:54yourself in. Know that you are already on the
- 21:00path to success. We'll see it as simple cause and
- 21:06effect. The more you run, the more of
- 21:11those packs of butter are melting away, and the less carbs
- 21:18you eat, the more you're training your body to learn how
- 21:25to use fat as fuel. And maybe you can imagine a
- 21:36future half marathon and field the training runs that you did
- 21:41before gave you the gift of running that half marathon.
- 21:49Well, the more you train, the more prepared you are.
- 21:58The more prepared you are, the more you get to enjoy those
- 22:03competitive runs. Almost like it's awakening the
- 22:11version of you from your past like a phoenix from the flames.
- 22:17And as you hold on to that thorn, it's time to bring your
- 22:22attention and focus back to the present.
- 22:26So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 22:31nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 22:34wiggle your toes. Start to calibrate with the here
- 22:37and now as I now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 22:42You will awaken with a sense of clarity, motivation and
- 22:48eagerness for the next step in your personal evolution.
- 22:54Starting to count 123 Waking up 456.
