Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo were Canada’s worst couple, and not in the “we fight in IKEA” way — in the “we commit unspeakable crimes together” way. Between 1990 and 1992, three teenage girls were tortured and murdered while Karla insisted she was just a helpless bystander who happened to participate in everything. Convenient.
