- 1:03Speaker 1: for the show. Okay, We're gonna do this live on
- 1:05Speaker 1: the internet. Wait ya though, that's song sing all sing along?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Is that the TikTok song?
- 1:16Speaker 1: Yes, that's the tick. Everyone does it in a weird accent.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Now I gotta do it over again? Wait ya oh?
- 1:24Speaker 1: Where said that song? Singing all alone? Singing all along?
- 1:29Speaker 1: I'm don't you just get the one?
- 1:33Speaker 2: I'm I'm leaving on a jet, playing leave even on
- 1:40Speaker 2: a jet, play don't know.
- 1:46Speaker 1: I This was the first time I realized on Armageddon
- 1:49Speaker 1: that Ben Affleck didn't know the words to the song
- 1:51Speaker 1: and he was just making up other articles. I was like,
- 1:54Speaker 1: that's not how it goes back, you know, I love
- 1:56Speaker 1: to yell at Ben Affleck.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Yeah, well I was like, that's not how it goes Ben. Everyone.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Welcome to Still Company. My name is Nathley Catona, the
- 2:05Speaker 1: host in producer of the weekly podcast To All the
- 2:09Speaker 1: Men I've Tolerated Before. Tonight, I'm joined by my lovely
- 2:12Speaker 1: Still Company co host.
- 2:15Speaker 2: I'm Julia Washington, your host of Pop Culture Makes Me
- 2:17Speaker 2: Jealous and Jelly Pop's book Club.
- 2:20Speaker 1: And tonight we'll be covering the two and a half
- 2:23Speaker 1: hour long movie Armageddon.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Did not need to be that long.
- 2:26Speaker 1: No I. I have a request for anyone who has
- 2:30Speaker 1: a movie in their heart that has to do with storms,
- 2:34Speaker 1: space asteroids, space men climbing big buildings, men being trapped
- 2:42Speaker 1: in big buildings against dinosaurs dinosaur sharks. Your movies can
- 2:51Speaker 1: and should only be an hour and fifteen minutes long.
- 2:56Speaker 1: There's I don't need an emotional arc.
- 2:58Speaker 3: No.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Number one, there's an emotional arc in this movie for
- 3:02Speaker 1: how long that it is?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Well, and the emotional arc is kind of gross, uh huh,
- 3:08Speaker 2: because I it was just it's such a savior complex situation. Yes,
- 3:15Speaker 2: And every time they were like, take care of my
- 3:17Speaker 2: little girl. I was like, she's a grown ass fucking woman.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Which is something she's been trying to scream at you.
- 3:23Speaker 2: The whole movie, the whole movie. Can I tell you
- 3:28Speaker 2: what Roger Ebert had to say? I was dying. We
- 3:32Speaker 2: don't normally do that for still comfies, but I was curious.
- 3:35Speaker 1: We do do it for still companies. We do it
- 3:37Speaker 1: for your still cuppies and not my still cumpies. Because
- 3:40Speaker 1: he is my enemy. But sure you've already looked up
- 3:42Speaker 1: the article.
- 3:43Speaker 2: I think I was dying to know because but I
- 3:45Speaker 2: think you're gonna. I think you might appreciate it. Okay,
- 3:48Speaker 2: he's my sworn enemy. His opening paragraph is this. Here
- 3:53Speaker 2: it is, at last, the first one hundred and fifty
- 3:55Speaker 2: movie minute trailer. Armageddon is cut together like its own
- 3:59Speaker 2: high lights. Take almost any thirty seconds at random, and
- 4:03Speaker 2: you'd have a TV ad that the movie is an
- 4:07Speaker 2: assault on the eyes, the ears, the brain, common sense,
- 4:10Speaker 2: and the human desire to be entertained. No matter what
- 4:14Speaker 2: they're charging to get in, it's worth more to get out.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Guess how many stars he gave it? Two? One?
- 4:22Speaker 1: Oh. Here's the thing. I to make my TikTok instead
- 4:29Speaker 1: because I forgot to film the opening credits to try
- 4:32Speaker 1: and get people to guess what movie.
- 4:33Speaker 2: We were doing.
- 4:33Speaker 1: Yeah, I rememb where that was this week, So I
- 4:35Speaker 1: did the good old bead affleck, smoking and cigarette because
- 4:38Speaker 1: I had regrets because I had to watch it too
- 4:40Speaker 1: and a half hour movie and I did not start
- 4:42Speaker 1: it last night, like my entire body told me that
- 4:45Speaker 1: I should, but I couldn't.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Well, it's two half hours.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Correct, and I think by the time I was like,
- 4:52Speaker 1: maybe I could get her to change her mind since
- 4:54Speaker 1: this was my pick. You told me you had watched it,
- 4:56Speaker 1: and I was like, now I'm a Now you're stuck, right.
- 5:00Speaker 1: So because I have a TikTok shop, I can no
- 5:03Speaker 1: longer just use any sound on TikTok.
- 5:06Speaker 2: Oh.
- 5:06Speaker 1: Oh, I couldn't just use don't want to close my eyes,
- 5:11Speaker 1: So I had to search, am I God in movie
- 5:14Speaker 1: clips to see like who just left the sound on
- 5:17Speaker 1: their TV?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Yeah, And there were so many men just crying, Like
- 5:24Speaker 1: you watch these movies from your childhood and you think
- 5:28Speaker 1: that they were maybe exciting when you were a kid,
- 5:32Speaker 1: but you just you just don't know until you're a
- 5:36Speaker 1: grown man.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Watching Bruce Willis on a rocket, and I'm like, oh
- 5:42Speaker 2: my god, space and war, space and war.
- 5:47Speaker 1: They all believe that one day Billy Bob Thornton will
- 5:51Speaker 1: be gonn to be like, it's time you get to
- 5:57Speaker 1: go to the space war.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Yeah. I literally wrote down basic white guy Savior shit,
- 6:03Speaker 2: just a movie about a simple yet brilliant oil rig
- 6:06Speaker 2: driller who is the only one who can save the world.
- 6:12Speaker 1: NASA, NASA needs you, NASA before the Internet found his patent.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't even know where they put paper patents, but
- 6:23Speaker 1: NASA did. They found his patent for a drill and
- 6:28Speaker 1: were like, Bruce Willis Harry, we need you and your
- 6:34Speaker 1: crew of Motley pirates to learn how to be in
- 6:39Speaker 1: a spaceship. And I was like they were I was like,
- 6:42Speaker 1: they wouldn't even let land Spas go into space for real, Like.
- 6:46Speaker 2: There were so many flaws just in that alone, right,
- 6:49Speaker 2: because then they were doing all the testing and stuff.
- 6:51Speaker 2: First of all, they spent way too much time focus
- 6:54Speaker 2: like telling us how they're completely unfit health wise to
- 6:59Speaker 2: go into space.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, we.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Know, we know that this isn't even plausible. Just fucking
- 7:07Speaker 2: get to the.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Point, right, I would like to go to the first
- 7:11Speaker 1: couple of minutes of Bruce Willis, Jewels dropped a comment
- 7:14Speaker 1: in the comment so that you can find the pop
- 7:16Speaker 1: culture makes Me Jealous YouTube channel since we bounced between
- 7:21Speaker 1: the two. But also this is your friendly reminder that
- 7:23Speaker 1: while I can see the eyes are watching, I do
- 7:26Speaker 1: not know who the eyes belong to because of our
- 7:28Speaker 1: third party system with YouTube. So if you're here comment,
- 7:33Speaker 1: tell us your favorite song from the Armageddon soundtrack, tell
- 7:37Speaker 1: us a movie that you wish we would have covered
- 7:39Speaker 1: instead of this one, and any question I ask for
- 7:46Speaker 1: any asshat thing that I say. If you're watching the replay,
- 7:51Speaker 1: just tell me. I'll find it. Gmail emails me every
- 7:56Speaker 1: time someone leaves a comment on any.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Of our stuff. That's trump. After watching this for two
- 8:01Speaker 2: and a half hours, I finished the movie and I thought,
- 8:04Speaker 2: cannot wait for Natalie to tell me everything about this
- 8:08Speaker 2: film because it was her pick.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Because it was my pick, and two weeks ago I
- 8:13Speaker 1: told you. I was like, why do why have I
- 8:15Speaker 1: got back down on Armageddon because I backed down on
- 8:19Speaker 1: Army of Darkness? Yeah you did, And I was like,
- 8:22Speaker 1: I would rather watch it ever after, way better pick, such.
- 8:25Speaker 2: A better choice.
- 8:26Speaker 1: And then I thought, why haven't I backed down on
- 8:29Speaker 1: Armageddon to do writing in cars with boys, and for
- 8:32Speaker 1: that I have to blame Drew Barrymore for betraying the
- 8:36Speaker 1: writers and the writer's strike. It's her fault. It's her
- 8:39Speaker 1: fault that I had to watch bed affleck on a
- 8:41Speaker 1: rocket ship for two and a half hours.
- 8:44Speaker 2: I mean, this is like every little boy's dream, right,
- 8:47Speaker 2: or at least this is what they're told their dream
- 8:49Speaker 2: should be. Like, You're just some dude, just live in
- 8:52Speaker 2: your life, and then you get plucked out of obscurity,
- 8:58Speaker 2: yea nave the world.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And then I think, because we have of Cinderella, is
- 9:03Speaker 1: there version of Cinderella? And we have our version of
- 9:06Speaker 1: it too, where it's like a relative dies and you
- 9:10Speaker 1: realize that you were a princess. Or you're walking down
- 9:14Speaker 1: the street and a man thinks that you're you're so
- 9:17Speaker 1: pretty that you get to be the next pop star.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh, I mean I have had that happen to
- 9:24Speaker 2: me several times.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Were they predators though? Or were no?
- 9:28Speaker 2: No? And it wasn't necessarily men. It was like legitimate
- 9:31Speaker 2: like uh, like scouts and stuff. But because I was
- 9:35Speaker 2: a jaded punk rock girl, I was like, fuck you,
- 9:38Speaker 2: all right, Well we wouldn't I mean, Natalie, we wouldn't
- 9:40Speaker 2: have met each other had I got taken the leap
- 9:44Speaker 2: and joined that modeling agency in nineteen ninety eight.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Actually, oh, in the year of our Lord Savior Bruce Willis. Yes, okay,
- 9:53Speaker 1: I would like to go to the first scene that
- 9:54Speaker 1: we see Bruce Willis where and I would like to
- 9:57Speaker 1: give a moment of silence Harry and his oil rig
- 10:02Speaker 1: because as of twenty twenty three, we have lost them
- 10:06Speaker 1: to the Orca Oceanic War. Because Harry is a climate
- 10:11Speaker 1: change denial I was so mad.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I was like, this is why men don't believe in
- 10:16Speaker 2: climate change, because Bruce Willis was knocking golf balls at
- 10:20Speaker 2: the fucking climate activists in this movie.
- 10:23Speaker 1: So while other people might think, damn, it's too bad
- 10:25Speaker 1: that there wasn't a sequel so we could have seen
- 10:27Speaker 1: all of the good things aj Slash Ben Affleck did
- 10:30Speaker 1: with Harry's legacy, It's too bad the Orcas got him.
- 10:34Speaker 2: The Orcas. Also in the beginning, we have some very
- 10:38Speaker 2: unfortunate representation of my community with the very caricaturey and
- 10:45Speaker 2: not just black people, but the I think they're supposed
- 10:48Speaker 2: to be from Japan. The tourists. Yeah, I want to
- 10:51Speaker 2: go shopping, and it was just like, why would you
- 10:55Speaker 2: do that? In those actors?
- 10:58Speaker 1: Right? And then the black man with the good job
- 11:01Speaker 1: uses the R word.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Yeah yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I was like, oh damn, it is ninety eight. We're
- 11:08Speaker 1: still using the R words right.
- 11:10Speaker 2: That threw me too. I was like, what, yeah, I'm.
- 11:14Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, it was definitely ninety eight and it
- 11:19Speaker 1: made me. I don't know if I've actually watched an
- 11:23Speaker 1: entire rush Hour with Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, but I.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Don't think i've ever seen one.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Actually, yeah, I don't think I've watched an entire rush Hour.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I think I've watched clips of a rush Hour. I
- 11:37Speaker 1: have to believe that all Rush Hour movies are just extended,
- 11:42Speaker 1: like really horrific scenes.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Of Armageddon. I was a little bummed too, because mister
- 11:52Speaker 2: Cooper is the taxi driver, and I was like, he
- 11:55Speaker 2: deserved better.
- 11:56Speaker 1: What's the name of mister Cooper? Mark? Were is mister Cooper?
- 12:05Speaker 2: I'm trying to remember his name. His first name is Mark,
- 12:07Speaker 2: for sure, I do Mark Curry. I was gonna say
- 12:09Speaker 2: Mark Curry, but I wasn't confident. I wasn't confident.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I love mister Cooper and he does deserve better, and
- 12:15Speaker 1: what the hell was this? And then like the the
- 12:19Speaker 1: like class the class clash, where like all of these
- 12:23Speaker 1: white men and then Michael Duncan Clark are are like
- 12:29Speaker 1: we're the same, but we're different NASA, and I was like,
- 12:35Speaker 1: I need Steve Bushev to spell me NASA. And then
- 12:38Speaker 1: it turns out he's the smartest one on the rocket ship.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I know, right, He's got all these degrees and like
- 12:44Speaker 2: the actual science that they need to know the other
- 12:47Speaker 2: thing that really kind of got to me too was
- 12:49Speaker 2: this whole like concept of like, thereose meteors that are
- 12:53Speaker 2: gonna hit China. Do we warn them?
- 12:54Speaker 3: No?
- 12:55Speaker 2: No, what are they gonna do? There's it's gonna cause
- 12:58Speaker 2: mass hysteria. We can't let any know. And I was like,
- 13:01Speaker 2: I can we you can listen, Natalie, you can draw
- 13:06Speaker 2: a direct line of American arrogance from movies like this. Yeah,
- 13:11Speaker 2: because that's what we still do, real life American arrogance
- 13:14Speaker 2: is what I should have said.
- 13:15Speaker 1: That's why Stevie Nicks had to give me an update
- 13:17Speaker 1: on the war in Ukraine via Kentucky. Yeah and so on. Oh,
- 13:24Speaker 1: because that's what we still do. We're just like what
- 13:27Speaker 1: global news uh huh, not for US dumb Americans, but
- 13:32Speaker 1: not even just that, it's like, well, we don't need
- 13:34Speaker 1: to tell China because how we shouldn't give them time
- 13:38Speaker 1: to evacuate the city and save as many lives as possible.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And I was like, I need Billy Bob Thorton to
- 13:44Speaker 1: say a time reference. I need him to say, what
- 13:47Speaker 1: are they going to do in the next fifteen minutes?
- 13:49Speaker 1: Right like, because then I'm like, I mean, yeah, what
- 13:54Speaker 1: are they going to do in the next fifteen minutes?
- 13:57Speaker 2: But then also the like to believe that you could
- 14:01Speaker 2: land on a meteor.
- 14:06Speaker 1: I believe at the Russian character, the Russian character in
- 14:10Speaker 1: space space Russian. I believe that that's why Russia treats
- 14:14Speaker 1: us the way that it does. Still, I'm like, this
- 14:16Speaker 1: just restarted the Cold War. And then they're like Leve's
- 14:22Speaker 1: a hero and I'm like, that's not how you wrote him.
- 14:27Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, I it is.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It's just comical. And I'd like to talk about Grace.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I'd like to talk about what if. Grace's very first
- 14:40Speaker 1: lines after they find her naked in ben Affleck's bedroom,
- 14:44Speaker 1: where she looks at Bruce Willis, her father, Harry to go.
- 14:49Speaker 1: You raised me on an oil rig my entire life.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Who else was I going to meet but a roughneck?
- 14:54Speaker 1: And I was like, live, you just said the problem.
- 14:57Speaker 1: You have no other options. What if you went to
- 14:59Speaker 1: the mainland, right, go to go to land, take your
- 15:04Speaker 1: little suit, get on that helicopter, meet a nice astronaut
- 15:09Speaker 1: at NASA.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And she's like, I love him.
- 15:13Speaker 2: I'm like, he's the only band you know, He's the
- 15:16Speaker 2: only attractive one on the fucking rig.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I mean, Owen Wilson was on the ridge.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's cute, but he was kind of like
- 15:24Speaker 2: he wasn't charming in the way that they played up
- 15:28Speaker 2: Ben affleck to be charming.
- 15:29Speaker 1: No, and the true truly. I remember having big feelings
- 15:33Speaker 1: about this movie as a kid, Like, do you remember
- 15:35Speaker 1: having like big feelings about this movie?
- 15:37Speaker 2: The soundtrack was my personality for the rest of the year.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yeah, just every day stinging leaving on a jetplane to.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Myself and that main Aerosmith song. I loved that music video.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I loved how they took out Bruce Willis's face in
- 15:52Speaker 2: the screen and put in Steven Tyler's for the music video.
- 15:56Speaker 1: That music video is a fucking banger m h. But
- 16:01Speaker 1: the only time I had strong feelings rewatching it is
- 16:05Speaker 1: when Owen Wilson had been optimistic and positive one too
- 16:09Speaker 1: many times and I screamed, Penelope, does Owen Wilson die
- 16:15Speaker 1: in this movie? And he does?
- 16:17Speaker 2: He sure does.
- 16:18Speaker 1: He doesn't make it back.
- 16:20Speaker 2: It does not make it back.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And you know that his entire purpose of the movie
- 16:24Speaker 1: is to be the overly energetic like I can't wait
- 16:27Speaker 1: to be in Space Guy because he's not coming home.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I loved Space Owen Wilson, because you're not coming back.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I hope it was worth it. Mean well, then Afflick
- 16:38Speaker 1: almost died four times in this.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Movie, right? Can I just also point out we've had
- 16:43Speaker 2: this conversation privately. I grew up in a private religious
- 16:49Speaker 2: environment academically, which proved to be really beneficial in some
- 16:54Speaker 2: areas of education, but where it failed was science. What
- 17:01Speaker 2: the Christians not teaching science? So there was a lot
- 17:06Speaker 2: of stuff that I was just like, wait, what don't
- 17:10Speaker 2: I know about science? And why did I believe armagednon?
- 17:14Speaker 1: No, now we have to watch the meg because if
- 17:17Speaker 1: you can't tell movie disaster science from real science, that's
- 17:21Speaker 1: just fun. That's just personally fun for me because I
- 17:27Speaker 1: can spot fake movie science a mile away, because I'm like,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I just wrote that into the plot to make sure
- 17:33Speaker 1: that we believed that Jason could do that.
- 17:36Speaker 2: I literally wrote down, is space dementia real? And then
- 17:40Speaker 2: it looked up and it's not.
- 17:43Speaker 1: I texted my sister. First off, last night, I looked
- 17:48Speaker 1: up how long Armageddon was and it was two and
- 17:50Speaker 1: a half hours a lot, and my brain immediately went,
- 17:53Speaker 1: we cannot do that today. And then I texted my
- 17:57Speaker 1: sister and I was like, whula arbageded b two and
- 18:01Speaker 1: a half hours long, and she texted me back, Aerosmith
- 18:05Speaker 1: probably so all of it there. Bainns could be in it, truly,
- 18:11Speaker 1: Steven Tyler, so liv Tyler would get her big break.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Well, I mean prior to this movie, she did a
- 18:18Speaker 2: ton of other movies that I love.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Yeah, But but when Steve bus Chevy does what literally,
- 18:31Speaker 1: any one it's Steve b Chevy, any white dude sees
- 18:35Speaker 1: a space gun connected to a space droid, it is like,
- 18:39Speaker 1: I Am going to shoot this space gun. And he's
- 18:43Speaker 1: literally shooting it at the asteroid, at his friends.
- 18:46Speaker 2: At least He's like, this is so fun.
- 18:48Speaker 1: Harry do you see the space gun and Harry tackles
- 18:54Speaker 1: him and then with that astronaut goes, yes, the space dementia. Harry,
- 19:00Speaker 1: I tested my sister and I was like, oh see,
- 19:02Speaker 1: who shall be got that space.
- 19:07Speaker 2: And I was like, because cabin fever is a real thing, yes,
- 19:12Speaker 2: I believe that is true.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Like yeah, so Tim Curry was correct with the song
- 19:17Speaker 1: We've got Cavin Fever and the Muppet Treasure Island. But
- 19:21Speaker 1: space dementia, which I would assume presents itself like cabin fever.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I didn't see the difference between any him and any
- 19:32Speaker 2: other guy. Honestly, It's like he's just playing with a toy.
- 19:35Speaker 2: He's playing with a gun. Yeah, he's got his little
- 19:39Speaker 2: shooter shooter, He's got his little and he's having a
- 19:42Speaker 2: good time.
- 19:43Speaker 1: He's not gonna let something like I don't know, maybe
- 19:46Speaker 1: accidentally shooting Bruce Willis and putting an air hole in
- 19:50Speaker 1: his space suit get between him and a good time.
- 19:53Speaker 1: No laser taed, baby.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Look at all these lasers. I'm hot shit. I was like,
- 20:05Speaker 2: how is this space dementia? And what is space dementia?
- 20:08Speaker 2: And maybe I need to go and take some science classes.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Because I'm sure as a kid, my brain did like riddle.
- 20:14Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, space dementia, because like there's no
- 20:16Speaker 1: air and that's gonna fuck with your head.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I mean there's no air. I mean they they they
- 20:22Speaker 2: tried to present the Russian astronaut at the Russian space
- 20:26Speaker 2: station with space dementia because they said he hasn't he's
- 20:30Speaker 2: been up there twelve years, which I feel like, come home.
- 20:34Speaker 2: I feel like that is unheard of, right, I don't
- 20:38Speaker 2: feel like anybody's lived in a space station that long. Yeah,
- 20:45Speaker 2: like they just send a rocket ship that docs and
- 20:48Speaker 2: then and then he and they're like all those Russians,
- 20:51Speaker 2: watch out. He's gonna be wild and crazy. And he's like, listen,
- 20:55Speaker 2: this space station is old because we're Russia and Americans
- 20:58Speaker 2: seeing Russians are dumb, and or when I feel like
- 21:03Speaker 2: every time anyway, and then they they're like, you're an idiot.
- 21:07Speaker 2: We'll touch all your shit and then blow up the station.
- 21:10Speaker 2: And he's like, I told you, I told you not
- 21:15Speaker 2: to touch my shit. You know.
- 21:19Speaker 1: I recently saw the space station.
- 21:21Speaker 2: The Russian one that blew up in Armageddon, or the
- 21:24Speaker 2: International Space station.
- 21:26Speaker 1: The space X one. Oh yeah, I thought it was
- 21:31Speaker 1: Aliens because It's real startling when you're just looking up
- 21:36Speaker 1: and you're.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Convinced that it's a shooting star.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But then you're like, wait, it's like a shooting star.
- 21:42Speaker 1: But it's all like time lasts, right, it's sundery, and
- 21:46Speaker 1: no one prepares you to be like, this is what
- 21:49Speaker 1: space X looks like. This is what it'll look like
- 21:51Speaker 1: in the sky. And then it looked because you know,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I lived by the Air Force base, then it looked
- 21:57Speaker 1: like the Air Force guys were. I was like, this
- 21:59Speaker 1: is it where to watch aliens get taken down? This
- 22:02Speaker 1: is our independence day?
- 22:07Speaker 2: Speaking of remember how Also in nineteen ninety eight, Deep
- 22:10Speaker 2: Impact released and it was essentially the same movie.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Yeah, but with the ocean, right, No, what was the meteor?
- 22:17Speaker 2: I thought?
- 22:18Speaker 1: But doesn't the meteor hit the ocean? Isn't Keanu in it?
- 22:21Speaker 1: And he like serfs or something?
- 22:23Speaker 2: Morgan Freeman, Leeley Sobieski, Elijah Wood Taloni. Oh, no, Elijah
- 22:31Speaker 2: would discover where that meteor hits. And they're trying to
- 22:35Speaker 2: outrun the tsunami or something. Well, they're build an underground world.
- 22:39Speaker 2: And because Elijah would discover the meteor, he marries Lee
- 22:43Speaker 2: so they could live underground because he gets entrance because
- 22:46Speaker 2: he discovered it, and then there's a lottery to figure
- 22:50Speaker 2: out who else can live in the bunker so that
- 22:54Speaker 2: way they survive when the meteor hits.
- 22:56Speaker 1: I truly don't think I've seen Deep Impact. Okay, Independent Day.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, a comment is hurtling toward Earth and could mean
- 23:04Speaker 2: the end of all human life. The US government keeps
- 23:06Speaker 2: the crisis under wraps, but crack reporter Jenny Lerner Taloni
- 23:10Speaker 2: uncovers the truth, forcing the US President Beck Morgan Freeman
- 23:14Speaker 2: to announce his plan. Grizzled astronaut Spurgeon Fish Tanner, Robert
- 23:19Speaker 2: Duval and his team will land on the Commet and
- 23:22Speaker 2: lay explosives, hopefully deterring the object from its doomsday course.
- 23:27Speaker 2: If not, humanity will have to prepare for the worst.
- 23:30Speaker 1: The nineties really wanted us to believe that space was
- 23:33Speaker 1: a big deal. And you know what's insane to me
- 23:37Speaker 1: being people who watch Deep Impact and Armageddon and Independence
- 23:41Speaker 1: Day and Evolution with David Ducovney. But then hearing every
- 23:45Speaker 1: maybe not you because your school didn't do science. But
- 23:48Speaker 1: when when Haley's comment would come around, my school would
- 23:52Speaker 1: get all the fuck lit up. We'd be like it's
- 23:54Speaker 1: the comet. It's gonna be outside, and I'd feel like,
- 23:58Speaker 1: that's the shit that killed brutal Will. Is that shit
- 24:03Speaker 1: killed Bruce Willis? Why are we going outside?
- 24:08Speaker 2: The nineties were kind of wild for the whole, like
- 24:11Speaker 2: the world is ending, and that definitely led up to
- 24:14Speaker 2: this whole like you know, the Millennia, the Turn of
- 24:20Speaker 2: the Millennium, and everyone was like freaking out about the
- 24:23Speaker 2: world ending there.
- 24:24Speaker 1: So that was the Mayan Calendar.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Yeah, well I was it the Mayan Calendar. I thought
- 24:29Speaker 2: that was twenty twelve.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It might have been all of it. Oh no, why
- 24:34Speaker 1: why two K and like Box were gonna crash?
- 24:36Speaker 2: So like, from like nineteen ninety six to nineteen ninety
- 24:40Speaker 2: nine we had a very interesting variety of action films
- 24:43Speaker 2: that dealt with the world ending, like no wonder we
- 24:46Speaker 2: were freaked out about Y two K.
- 24:48Speaker 1: If Billy Bob Thornton called me right now, it was like, Nadly,
- 24:55Speaker 1: an asteroid is coming. I go, thank fucking God, Really, Billy,
- 25:01Speaker 1: I'm getting topless and I'm just gonna go meet the
- 25:04Speaker 1: meteor in my front yard. Thank God.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I'd be like honeybear to my child, you need to
- 25:11Speaker 2: get your ass home because if we're dying, we're dying together. Mamily.
- 25:15Speaker 1: But Natalie, oh, I forgot Billy Bob was in this movie.
- 25:20Speaker 1: So as you know, I was making Munster in this
- 25:22Speaker 1: movie because I was like, well I have four hours.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Oh yeah, you guys set aside the time.
- 25:26Speaker 1: So I'm at the microwave and I hear Billy and I'm.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Like, Billy Bob, Billy Bob forgot you for this movielaeople like,
- 25:35Speaker 2: who are you talking to?
- 25:37Speaker 1: Is that you Billy? Because I love Ninety's Billy Bob Thornton.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I'm like Billy Bob. And then one of my notes
- 25:46Speaker 2: is like what.
- 25:48Speaker 1: I was like the nineties kept trying to gaslight us
- 25:51Speaker 1: into believe me that Billy Bob Thornton is a very intelligent,
- 25:55Speaker 1: small or smartman. But what if that's the joke. What
- 25:58Speaker 1: if Billy Bob Thorton is a very smart, intelligent man
- 26:01Speaker 1: who just happens to be named Billy Bob. I mean,
- 26:06Speaker 1: the world may ever.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Know, the world may never know.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, I'd be like Billy Bob because I do I
- 26:14Speaker 1: love I love the King Nineties.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Billy Bob, did you do what I did? And look
- 26:18Speaker 2: at him and go did he eventually get his teeth fixed,
- 26:20Speaker 2: because I don't remember them looking like that.
- 26:24Speaker 1: No, I don't look at people's teeth.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I'm obsessed with looking at people's teeth.
- 26:28Speaker 1: I did, however, I had to keep staring at Bill
- 26:33Speaker 1: Pullman's brother, or not Bill Pullman, Bill Paxton's brother, whose
- 26:38Speaker 1: name is Will Paxton, and being like, that's not Bill Paxton,
- 26:44Speaker 1: Will Patton? Oh was it Patten? I read it as
- 26:48Speaker 1: pas did because I was get evinced it was Bill Paxton.
- 26:51Speaker 2: I thought it his name was Will Patten. I don't know.
- 26:54Speaker 1: They look exactly the same, and then my brain went, oh,
- 26:57Speaker 1: they're brothers. I just made up a fail for Bill Paxton.
- 27:01Speaker 1: May he rest in peace. That's so funny because I
- 27:05Speaker 1: also love nineties Bill Paxton. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And honestly,
- 27:10Speaker 1: we should have watched Twister because Twister is a better movie.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Oh that's a great I haven't seen that movie in forever. Yeah,
- 27:17Speaker 2: Will Patton?
- 27:18Speaker 1: Okay, well scratch that everyone, Bill Paxton does it have
- 27:22Speaker 1: a brother who was an Armageddon.
- 27:24Speaker 2: He's our he's our little he's our little cutie from
- 27:27Speaker 2: Remember the Titans.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's why.
- 27:30Speaker 2: That's why he felt like home. Yeah, and you know,
- 27:34Speaker 2: he's the deadbeat who's the salesman. But then the woman
- 27:37Speaker 2: sees that he's on NASA now so they can kiss
- 27:40Speaker 2: when he comes home, and she's like, it's your daddy,
- 27:44Speaker 2: because that's gonna change him from being a deadbeat. Right,
- 27:49Speaker 2: that's your daddy, the astronaut, the astronaut, the deadbeat who
- 27:52Speaker 2: isn't allowed to come around because he's a deadbeat. How
- 27:55Speaker 2: many times can I say dead beat right now?
- 27:57Speaker 1: Honestly though, Like we saw work on One Tree Hill
- 27:59Speaker 1: with Payton dad, because I have to assume that that's
- 28:02Speaker 1: what Peyton's dad did for a living. He did whatever
- 28:04Speaker 1: Bruce Willis is doing on the ocean. Yeah, that's yeah,
- 28:08Speaker 1: because what else are you doing now on the ocean
- 28:10Speaker 1: if it's not like fishing?
- 28:12Speaker 2: I don't think exactly like it unless you're like uber
- 28:15Speaker 2: wealthy and then you're like, hey, I'm I'm on a yacht.
- 28:19Speaker 1: I'm getting riders mad because we shouldn't be here.
- 28:25Speaker 2: So I'm assuming.
- 28:26Speaker 1: So we've seen that work where like you still call
- 28:29Speaker 1: your kid, you still come home for your kid every
- 28:32Speaker 1: once in a while. Your kid is mostly raising yourself
- 28:34Speaker 1: because your mom happened to die.
- 28:37Speaker 2: Dad to get the past. Did she call NASA and
- 28:41Speaker 2: be like, hey, I birthed the child of that guy.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Yeah, please let me have a pass and Billy Bob
- 28:48Speaker 1: and Billy Bob probably was like, I don't know, just
- 28:50Speaker 1: let him all in.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Just let them diet. We have six hours before I
- 28:54Speaker 2: impact anyway. Just let it go.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Live Tyler's already crying. Live Tyler's entire joy in this
- 29:00Speaker 1: movie is just sadly standing somewhere, and to remind them.
- 29:04Speaker 2: That it's her entire family up there, goly.
- 29:10Speaker 1: But also fuck that lady who left Bruce Willis but
- 29:13Speaker 1: didn't take liv Tyler.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I see. This is why I'm like, this is
- 29:18Speaker 2: like menace propaganda.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yes, because he's like, well, and it's also do you
- 29:25Speaker 1: like you know how like when you hate yourself, the
- 29:28Speaker 1: last thing you want to do is to watch someone
- 29:30Speaker 1: else be with someone who is you, So like Bruce
- 29:33Speaker 1: Willis hates himself. Yeah, Steve Boucemi's smarter than him. That
- 29:38Speaker 1: probably makes him feel a whole bunch of different ways,
- 29:40Speaker 1: because no one wants Steve Buchemy to be smarter than them.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Of poor Steve, And and he's watching Live Tyler. And
- 29:49Speaker 1: here's Ben Affleck and he's reckless and he can't listen.
- 29:52Speaker 1: He's almost gotten eight people killed on the oil rig. Well,
- 29:56Speaker 1: let's take him to space.
- 29:58Speaker 2: And the whole time when Bruce Willis is like shooting
- 30:01Speaker 2: at him, I was like, do you do you You're
- 30:05Speaker 2: supposed to be the best oil driller of thirty years
- 30:09Speaker 2: and you're choosing to shoot a firearm on an oil
- 30:13Speaker 2: rag by the oil that is so dangerous?
- 30:17Speaker 1: Like what just throw him overboard?
- 30:21Speaker 2: Problem solved?
- 30:22Speaker 1: Let the sharks have him, Yeah, or let your daughter
- 30:26Speaker 1: get boned. You won't let her go to the mainline.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Person until he finds out that she is getting deed down,
- 30:33Speaker 2: and he's like off the ship, off the ship.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Honestly, I would have thrown myself at Michael Clark Duncan, Duncan, Clark,
- 30:40Speaker 1: Michael Duncan, Clark, Clark Duncan, the order, Yeah, order you
- 30:46Speaker 1: keep talking.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I'll confirm the order. Michael Clark Duncan, you are right the.
- 30:49Speaker 1: First Michael Clark Duncan, I was just like a moment
- 30:52Speaker 1: of appreciation, a moment of silence, if you will, for
- 30:55Speaker 1: Michael Clark Duncan's arms. Yeah, in this movie, Yeah, made
- 31:01Speaker 1: those arms rest in peace because they're huge. I was like,
- 31:06Speaker 1: they were not that big in the Green Mile.
- 31:08Speaker 2: I feel like he didn't get enough screen time.
- 31:11Speaker 1: No, because he's hilarious. He's got a good attitude about him.
- 31:17Speaker 1: I did almost cry when they all started to join
- 31:19Speaker 1: in on leave in on a jet plane. Yeah, and
- 31:22Speaker 1: he starts it. I was like, this is my favorite
- 31:24Speaker 1: part of the movie.
- 31:25Speaker 2: It's cute, but also how awkward because liv Tyler is
- 31:28Speaker 2: clearly taller than everybody in that movie, so like her
- 31:31Speaker 2: long ass legs and they're like steaking out.
- 31:34Speaker 1: I was like, ma'am, she got her legs wrapped around
- 31:38Speaker 1: Ben Affleck and Steve Boujei at the same time. Somehow,
- 31:42Speaker 1: I was.
- 31:43Speaker 2: Like, they did a really good job at convincing us
- 31:45Speaker 2: that she's not taller than Ben Affleck or Bruce Willis.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Do you remember the nineties when I didn't hate Ben Affleck.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yeah. I was looking at this. I was like, man,
- 31:54Speaker 2: I thought he was so goddamn cute, Like he was
- 31:59Speaker 2: so dreamy to me in this film.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And I think because after bet after Armageddon, I assumed
- 32:05Speaker 1: that Ben Affleck was aj off of Armageddon, just a
- 32:09Speaker 1: dumb puppy of a man who just wanted to eat
- 32:12Speaker 1: animal crackers. I was like, who eats animal crackers as
- 32:15Speaker 1: a grown up?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's okay.
- 32:17Speaker 1: I just wanted to eat animal crackers and like listen
- 32:20Speaker 1: to aerospid and be in space. And then I found
- 32:24Speaker 1: out that like Ben Affleck is a menace, It's a
- 32:29Speaker 1: literal menace.
- 32:30Speaker 2: Jennifer Garner deserves better.
- 32:34Speaker 1: You deserve better, and j Lo, do not make me
- 32:40Speaker 1: stand by you a third time when this one time
- 32:44Speaker 1: around goes dark and then you want to try it again.
- 32:50Speaker 2: I mean they're married, So.
- 32:54Speaker 1: They were married the first time.
- 32:55Speaker 2: No, they weren't. Oh they never got married. They just
- 32:58Speaker 2: got engaged. And then I I forget what broke them up.
- 33:02Speaker 2: And then they spent all those years being in relationships
- 33:05Speaker 2: with other people when they should have just been in
- 33:07Speaker 2: relationships with them. It's the Johnny Cash effect all over again.
- 33:10Speaker 2: It makes me so upset. I hate it. Just admit
- 33:12Speaker 2: that you want to be with that person and don't
- 33:14Speaker 2: fuck over other people's lives.
- 33:17Speaker 1: I just hate Ben Affleck because his stories get to
- 33:19Speaker 1: be made and they're not that interesting. Like him and
- 33:22Speaker 1: Matt Damon.
- 33:24Speaker 2: I get it.
- 33:24Speaker 1: They were in a dorm room, they had a lot
- 33:26Speaker 1: of time on their hands. They wrote down some journals.
- 33:30Speaker 2: Like, you know what's a great idea? You know it's
- 33:33Speaker 2: a right idea? What if? Like you're a janitor, but
- 33:38Speaker 2: you can do math? What and you're right? So many
- 33:46Speaker 2: of the movies about.
- 33:48Speaker 1: Centering white men in the nineties were literally like.
- 33:51Speaker 2: Hey, we get it.
- 33:53Speaker 1: You had a shit childhood. No one believed in you,
- 33:57Speaker 1: no one believed in you. You've just been here on
- 34:01Speaker 1: this farm, on this boat, in using a mop as
- 34:05Speaker 1: a janitor. Yeah, but I see something in you. And
- 34:12Speaker 1: your country needs you. Your country, your university, your town.
- 34:20Speaker 2: You're it. You're in need.
- 34:22Speaker 1: We need you to build a base ball diamond in
- 34:28Speaker 1: your farm.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Listen, don't come for Field of Dreams. I love that
- 34:33Speaker 2: movie so hard.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I don't think I've seen all the Field of Dreams either,
- 34:37Speaker 1: Oh my god.
- 34:38Speaker 2: But also though, somebody looked at Ben Affleck when Dan said,
- 34:42Speaker 2: you know what would be a great idea? Batman?
- 34:45Speaker 1: Batman, And that's when I was done. I was number one.
- 34:49Speaker 1: Let me reenact the first photo they released of said
- 34:53Speaker 1: Affleck as Batman, and it's Batman sitting like this.
- 35:01Speaker 2: I want to watch that Batman. I was watching clips
- 35:04Speaker 2: of Christian Bales Batman and I was like, why why
- 35:07Speaker 2: did anybody come in after Christian Bale? This is perfect?
- 35:13Speaker 2: Who wants to watch bandic depressive Batman? I don't know.
- 35:17Speaker 1: He has money and unlimited legal power.
- 35:21Speaker 2: It got them, don't you dare?
- 35:23Speaker 1: Bring me mopey Batman?
- 35:25Speaker 2: Right? If I had money and unlimited legal power, there's
- 35:29Speaker 2: no telling what I would do. Everyone would be literate,
- 35:32Speaker 2: everyone would be fed. Yeah, everyone would have a place
- 35:36Speaker 2: to live.
- 35:38Speaker 1: And what's Bruce Wayne doing? Fucking poudy and.
- 35:42Speaker 2: He's and mad because people are upset that they don't
- 35:44Speaker 2: have a place to live or livable.
- 35:46Speaker 1: Wages, right, just bouting And it's like, sir, you have
- 35:50Speaker 1: to be Batman. You just have to unleash some of
- 35:53Speaker 1: this cash that you have, right, which, again, armigadd and Batman,
- 35:58Speaker 1: they're very like solutions to a problem where.
- 36:04Speaker 3: It's like, okay, the people of Gotham, Alfred, did you
- 36:09Speaker 3: know that the people of Gotham they do not know
- 36:13Speaker 3: where their next meal is coming from? And then Alfred's
- 36:16Speaker 3: so like, oh, yes, good sir, I did know that.
- 36:18Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, okay, I think I'm gonna fight that guy
- 36:21Speaker 1: in the sewer. Could you like build me my third batmobile?
- 36:28Speaker 1: Because this one has to go in the sewer.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Did you know this movie has I'm sorry to change
- 36:34Speaker 2: to knock you off your bed, but did you know
- 36:36Speaker 2: this movie has six credited writers?
- 36:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's Jools. It's our ultimate joke. A
- 36:44Speaker 1: group of white men sat in a room and they're like,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I've always wanted to go to space? What about you,
- 36:50Speaker 1: Steve Troy? You ever want to be in space? I've
- 36:56Speaker 1: always wanted to know what the astronauts did?
- 36:59Speaker 2: What are the astronauts? Wouldn't it be so cool? We
- 37:03Speaker 2: like blow up a comment, Well, well, Steven Tyler rips
- 37:10Speaker 2: on a guitar. Does Steven Tyler play guitar? I think
- 37:13Speaker 2: he just sings.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I don't know that one guy plays the guitar Skiller
- 37:18Speaker 1: Scroller like someone commented the other names of the I
- 37:24Speaker 1: know I known the names of the fan marrows of
- 37:27Speaker 1: Aerosmith because I do love Aerosmith, Like you cannot play
- 37:30Speaker 1: an Aerosmith thod and I'm not horridically excited.
- 37:34Speaker 2: The only Aerosmith factoid that I have retained. We went
- 37:38Speaker 2: to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a cup
- 37:39Speaker 2: I've been a couple of times because my family's from Cleveland,
- 37:43Speaker 2: and so we were visiting family went to the Rock
- 37:44Speaker 2: and Roll Hall of Fame and I just watched the
- 37:46Speaker 2: PBS documentary about the history of music. It was fantastic.
- 37:50Speaker 2: Can't buy it anywhere makes me sad. So we went
- 37:53Speaker 2: because it was in partnership with the Rock and Roll
- 37:55Speaker 2: Hall of Fame and PBS to produce it. And they
- 37:59Speaker 2: had these little clips that you could go into these
- 38:01Speaker 2: like little tiny theaters and watch these video clips. I
- 38:03Speaker 2: don't know what it looks like now, I haven't been
- 38:04Speaker 2: this century. And somebody's interviewing Stephen Tyler and he goes
- 38:10Speaker 2: and the question was like, did you make a lot
- 38:12Speaker 2: of money being in Aerosmith? And he's like yeah, when
- 38:15Speaker 2: all it all went up my nose. Listen, I did
- 38:23Speaker 2: this is the clip you chose to show in the
- 38:28Speaker 2: museum part of the Hall of Fame. Or maybe it
- 38:31Speaker 2: was the Experienced Music Project in Seattle. I'm getting the
- 38:34Speaker 2: too confused, but either way, like that's the factoid that
- 38:37Speaker 2: I remember.
- 38:38Speaker 1: Listen. I am on a very fun and funny episode
- 38:43Speaker 1: of Traversing the Stars podcast.
- 38:45Speaker 2: My friend Jad used to be on it.
- 38:47Speaker 1: It's me, his wife Trina, and I and he made
- 38:50Speaker 1: me watch it's this rock and roll documentary and there's
- 38:54Speaker 1: two parts and one part is like eighties glam met rock,
- 38:58Speaker 1: which is what we watched, and then the other part
- 39:00Speaker 1: with the like second part is.
- 39:04Speaker 2: Punk rock. And it might just.
- 39:06Speaker 1: Literally be called the History of rock or whatever, but
- 39:09Speaker 1: for what they like, GD was like, okay, so Nathley, like,
- 39:12Speaker 1: what did you think, because you know, I'm so hateful
- 39:14Speaker 1: about things, And I was like, I never thought that
- 39:18Speaker 1: I would sit in my couch and for an hour
- 39:22Speaker 1: and a half just be so endeared by a twenty
- 39:26Speaker 1: one year old Brett Michaels passing out flyers to try
- 39:30Speaker 1: and get people to come to his show, knowing one
- 39:33Speaker 1: day he'll be poison and everyone will know poison and
- 39:38Speaker 1: everyone will know every rose has its thorn.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 1: Yeah, Like and they like they had a scene of
- 39:45Speaker 1: like Ozzy Osbourne coherent yeah and making eggs yeah, the.
- 39:51Speaker 2: Early like when they get when they when you see
- 39:53Speaker 2: interviews of like famous groups before they're big, it really
- 39:59Speaker 2: is charming because really, like all these sweet kids who
- 40:02Speaker 2: are talented and really really want to do something love it.
- 40:07Speaker 1: They're so cute. They were all very adorable, even the
- 40:11Speaker 1: one who was so coked out of his mind that
- 40:14Speaker 1: his mom would just like push his pool floating with
- 40:17Speaker 1: like a broomstick to try and get him out of
- 40:20Speaker 1: the pool or to hand him a beer. And I
- 40:23Speaker 1: cannot remember which rock legend it was, but it was
- 40:27Speaker 1: one of them.
- 40:28Speaker 2: It was one of them. That sounds so.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Funny, and I think it's why I love them. And
- 40:32Speaker 1: you know what movie we should have watched instead of
- 40:34Speaker 1: this one? Rock Star? I love the movie rock Star
- 40:38Speaker 1: with Mark Wahlberg. Say that's Marky Mark, right?
- 40:41Speaker 2: Mark?
- 40:42Speaker 1: And honestly, rock Star is my dream every show, any
- 40:46Speaker 1: live show that I'm in. I don't want to go
- 40:48Speaker 1: to space at fucking all? Are you kidding me?
- 40:51Speaker 2: I don't want to leave it. I don't want to
- 40:52Speaker 2: leave gravity. I got it?
- 40:55Speaker 1: Uhh Did you see how many things were flying at
- 40:57Speaker 1: those people in space? Well?
- 40:59Speaker 2: And then how do we know get somebody who's doing
- 41:01Speaker 2: real science or Christian science, right, or or the meg science?
- 41:11Speaker 1: How do we know that this person did just have
- 41:14Speaker 1: a deep love for twenty eight days?
- 41:17Speaker 2: Have you noticed it's always whoever discovers it, it's always
- 41:21Speaker 2: just a hobbyist, right. I just discovered, like, oh my god,
- 41:25Speaker 2: today is asteroid? Right?
- 41:26Speaker 1: I get today after my wife because this fucking bitch.
- 41:32Speaker 1: But every live show I met, it could be Broadway,
- 41:34Speaker 1: it could be comedy, it could be a a a
- 41:41Speaker 1: soda shop quartet on the streets of Disney World.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Every I'm always.
- 41:46Speaker 1: Just primed and ready. Oh my god, I'm going to
- 41:48Speaker 1: drag but runch on Sunday and it's Halloween drag Brunch
- 41:52Speaker 1: and I'm gonna wear my Venus fly Trap costume. I
- 41:54Speaker 1: will just be primed and ready and be like, okay,
- 41:58Speaker 1: just in case, just in case one of the false.
- 42:02Speaker 2: I'm ready.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I'm ready. I am ready to I'm ready. I am
- 42:06Speaker 1: Marky Mark in that movie where he's just like he
- 42:08Speaker 1: has a band, he loves that band, and should someone
- 42:12Speaker 1: die of a heart attack on that stage, he can
- 42:15Speaker 1: fill in.
- 42:16Speaker 2: There's literally three place that I'm like, I know those
- 42:21Speaker 2: characters and all of their lines tap me in Coach
- 42:25Speaker 2: and like, people are like, are you even enjoying this?
- 42:27Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm having a wonderful Top're like okay, They're like,
- 42:34Speaker 1: you're just trying to make dead eye contact with the FC.
- 42:40Speaker 1: I want them to know, tap me in coach, I'm
- 42:43Speaker 1: ready any moment I can and honestly, it's how I
- 42:46Speaker 1: think I'll get I'll drop out TV. I think I'll
- 42:48Speaker 1: be on a tour, someone won't show up.
- 42:52Speaker 2: What are we gonna do?
- 42:53Speaker 1: What are we gonna do? And Sam will just look
- 42:58Speaker 1: at me and it'll be like, you've had some good
- 43:00Speaker 1: jokes today. You want to do up? Actually, And I'll
- 43:04Speaker 1: be like, sure, I'm a dub ass. I'll actually know
- 43:06Speaker 1: trivia and he'll.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Be like, even better, even better, don't meet trap. Oh
- 43:12Speaker 2: my gosh, that's so funny. I feel like a lot
- 43:14Speaker 2: of people have that dream about their lives and there
- 43:19Speaker 2: like not because we are not creatively repressed, but people who.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Are, Yeah, they just feel like at some point, Denzel
- 43:27Speaker 1: Washington's gonna be like, do you play football?
- 43:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 43:30Speaker 1: Did you ever play like football with your dad?
- 43:32Speaker 2: Oh? My god, your arms are so buffed? You do
- 43:34Speaker 2: you never think you're playing football?
- 43:36Speaker 1: Do you ever think about playing football? And that's why
- 43:40Speaker 1: Joe Alwy had to break up with Taylor Swift because
- 43:43Speaker 1: no one ever asked him if he wanted to play football.
- 43:46Speaker 2: I think no one ever asked him if he knew
- 43:48Speaker 2: how to play guitar.
- 43:49Speaker 1: Oh yeah, also that, but yeah, also the rampant nineties.
- 43:57Speaker 1: So we talked about the R word, and we talked
- 43:59Speaker 1: about the rampant racism, but also the rampant sexism.
- 44:02Speaker 2: In this movie.
- 44:03Speaker 1: They had one lady astronaut on their team, and Steve
- 44:07Speaker 1: Muscemi was like, what if I.
- 44:08Speaker 2: Hump her leg?
- 44:09Speaker 1: Yeah, until she loves me. Yeah, and if she hits me,
- 44:14Speaker 1: I'm gonna like it.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Live Tyler didn't get to talk to any women.
- 44:20Speaker 2: And also when Steve Vesemi goes to the strip club
- 44:23Speaker 2: and then like that woman, I don't know what her
- 44:26Speaker 2: accent was supposed to be Eastern European, Yeah, just vague
- 44:31Speaker 2: Eastern European accent. And I was like, oh right, So
- 44:34Speaker 2: we have Daddy's little girl, we have the smart one,
- 44:41Speaker 2: and then we have the stripper. So all of the
- 44:43Speaker 2: male fantasies just in what and it's a smart when
- 44:48Speaker 2: this being a smart one is in a male fantasy.
- 44:50Speaker 1: Whatever that.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Oh, they threw us a bone.
- 44:53Speaker 1: They're like, they won't be mad if the astronaut knows
- 44:56Speaker 1: how to do math.
- 44:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Also, the this movie was very religious? Was it
- 45:03Speaker 2: the amount of times they were like God help us,
- 45:06Speaker 2: and not like in a God help us. It was
- 45:08Speaker 2: like all right, God get me out of this kind
- 45:11Speaker 2: of thing.
- 45:12Speaker 1: I truly believe that the only thing that could actually
- 45:15Speaker 1: turn someone into an atheist is being in fucking space.
- 45:19Speaker 1: What do you think is above space?
- 45:21Speaker 2: I want to know. I don't know, I because again
- 45:26Speaker 2: I wrote down, I'm so confused.
- 45:28Speaker 1: Now, science, Jules, they to like look up a thake
- 45:36Speaker 1: pace on what science was made up? Are we gonna science?
- 45:40Speaker 1: And what science was science? You should have been taught
- 45:42Speaker 1: in the fourth grade, Les Jeueles. Last week, you've never
- 45:49Speaker 1: been to slumber camp. And now we know you've never
- 45:52Speaker 1: been to science camp.
- 45:55Speaker 2: We went to his science camp for a week in
- 45:57Speaker 2: sixth grade. It was but it was like Earth science. Oh,
- 46:03Speaker 2: like look at these plants. Actually, I don't even know
- 46:08Speaker 2: if we did that. All I remember is playing volleyball.
- 46:14Speaker 1: You know, I'm a former astronaut because in the fifth
- 46:19Speaker 1: grade and in the fifth grade I t wit to
- 46:24Speaker 1: space camp and I had to be in the control
- 46:28Speaker 1: room over for our fake challenger, and then people were
- 46:34Speaker 1: in another room. It was like a whole simulator. And
- 46:36Speaker 1: this is probably why I never want to be in space.
- 46:39Speaker 1: Well for help now, yeah, Billy Bob, I'm ready tag
- 46:46Speaker 1: me in, Biden.
- 46:48Speaker 2: I can do it.
- 46:50Speaker 1: So I'm Billy Bob Thornton, which like his job is stressful,
- 46:54Speaker 1: and then like six of my peers are at the
- 46:56Speaker 1: decks rore be like Nady, did we pack rashes? And
- 46:59Speaker 1: I'm like, I don't know, dude, you.
- 47:02Speaker 2: But also Billy Bob is regretful because he is physically
- 47:06Speaker 2: enable to go to space, but I'm pretty confident he
- 47:09Speaker 2: was healthier than everyone they sat in space.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Except for Michael Clark. Don't Nadley, what's the pressure doing?
- 47:19Speaker 1: And I'm like, I actually don't have a good grasp
- 47:21Speaker 1: on numbers. And then by fifth grade gifted and talented
- 47:24Speaker 1: teacher is just overrichel to be like Dady, we prepared
- 47:27Speaker 1: for this for seven weeks and then I was like,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you also gave this whole camp because it was called
- 47:33Speaker 1: Challenger Camp.
- 47:34Speaker 2: And I was like, isn't that the shuttle that blew
- 47:36Speaker 2: the fuck up? But it sounds like by Armageddon standards,
- 47:40Speaker 2: you're a perfect candidate.
- 47:42Speaker 1: I mean, honestly, the whole camp was what if we
- 47:45Speaker 1: fixed what went wrong with the Challenger?
- 47:48Speaker 2: Like the fifth grade, the.
- 47:51Speaker 1: Fifth grade students in northwest Indiana were like, don't worry, Dasa,
- 47:56Speaker 1: I got it. Oh my god, so I am a
- 48:03Speaker 1: former astronaut.
- 48:04Speaker 2: I'm ready. I just feel like I don't feel so
- 48:07Speaker 2: bad now about having Christian school science.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Because I had extreme space science.
- 48:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Not everyone in my class got to go like I
- 48:18Speaker 1: was one of the spark kids and I got.
- 48:21Speaker 2: To go on a special all right, I got to
- 48:23Speaker 2: go on a special trip.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Excuse me, then, year olds can fix Natha And you
- 48:27Speaker 1: haven't been able to tell for my type a personality
- 48:30Speaker 1: and my general bidder and resentment for the world around me.
- 48:33Speaker 1: I was a gifted and talented kid. They did pull
- 48:38Speaker 1: me away from my peers to be like, hey, you
- 48:40Speaker 1: your special hold that off your shoulders for.
- 48:42Speaker 2: The you'll do amazing things. Meanwhile things we're all just
- 48:49Speaker 2: slowly dying inside because we can't cope.
- 48:54Speaker 1: And yes, it did give me adhd it turns out
- 48:57Speaker 1: or I already had it.
- 48:58Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 49:02Speaker 1: And hey, and hey Julia, when it comes to Billy
- 49:05Speaker 1: Bob Thornton in space, why not me?
- 49:09Speaker 2: Why not me? Dad? Why not me? Oh my god,
- 49:16Speaker 2: I'm like overheating because of all the laughing.
- 49:20Speaker 1: Oh, miss, I just want to fall asleep. No, you
- 49:27Speaker 1: don't want to fall asleep.
- 49:29Speaker 2: And says I Miss the song.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Do you know because you would miss my face? Sir,
- 49:37Speaker 1: I don't want to miss a thing because I miss you.
- 49:41Speaker 1: It's brilliant's all right, yes, because.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Miss baby baby, and I don't want to want to
- 49:46Speaker 2: miss a thing, right, which plays into the daddy's girl.
- 49:52Speaker 1: God, I poor what And you know we talked about
- 49:57Speaker 1: the stripper, we talked about the really smart lady, and
- 50:00Speaker 1: you talked about wait, can I just read.
- 50:02Speaker 2: One more thing? Quote? I promised my little girl I'm
- 50:07Speaker 2: coming home.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Yeah, you broke that promise, whether fucker.
- 50:11Speaker 2: But also stop calling her a little girl.
- 50:14Speaker 1: Also that so Armageddon had the trifecta, the virgin, the whore,
- 50:20Speaker 1: and the smart lady, the scientist, you know, the holy trinity,
- 50:25Speaker 1: the holy Trinity. Stephen Tyler recreates that whole dynamic with
- 50:32Speaker 1: Alicia Silverstone. It Live Tyler that won music videos in
- 50:37Speaker 1: for Did I just blow your bocke? You did because
- 50:45Speaker 1: because both of them are all of the they're very smart,
- 50:48Speaker 1: they're at private school, they're virgins look at their skirts.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Yes, but they're also whoorse. Oh my god, there was that.
- 51:05Speaker 2: I don't know why you're gonna clip tonight.
- 51:06Speaker 1: This whole thing is fucking oh God, I may have
- 51:09Speaker 1: this might just be in for the rest of the week.
- 51:11Speaker 1: I won't clip my own show this week, or I'll
- 51:13Speaker 1: save a bunch of clips for the weekend. I I
- 51:17Speaker 1: was a child when someone had to tell me because
- 51:19Speaker 1: that's a that's another that's another music video. That's a
- 51:24Speaker 1: fucking straight bainn.
- 51:26Speaker 2: What song is it?
- 51:29Speaker 1: Oh God, but I was while you're googling, I was
- 51:32Speaker 1: a child when someone had to break it to me.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Oh yes, Steven Tyler, he put his daughter and his
- 51:39Speaker 1: daughter's best friend isn't crazy. It is crazy Cray.
- 51:46Speaker 2: That's a great song.
- 51:49Speaker 1: And there and they're just gyriting in their fucking schoolgirls
- 51:53Speaker 1: skirts and flipping people off, And was like, that's Stephen
- 51:58Speaker 1: Tyler's little girl.
- 51:59Speaker 2: And I'm like, ah, I just really need us to
- 52:02Speaker 2: stop call like grown ass women little girls.
- 52:05Speaker 1: No, I think they were teenagers when they play movie
- 52:09Speaker 1: I need.
- 52:11Speaker 2: I'm trying to find that hold on. I gotta retell.
- 52:15Speaker 1: Wo God, but that music video is a bigger everything three.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, so they were. That song was released in
- 52:26Speaker 2: ninety three, so the music video was.
- 52:30Speaker 1: Ninety four at the latest. Because usually the singles get
- 52:34Speaker 1: the videos right.
- 52:36Speaker 2: So yeah, Okay, so they were children. They were literal children,
- 52:42Speaker 2: just in.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Their fucking horse spurts. Forgot they're Jesus slut skirts.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Is Catholic schoolgirl fantasy.
- 52:52Speaker 1: I have a Catholic schoolgirl skirt because they do Highlander
- 52:56Speaker 1: Weekend at the Renaissance Festival.
- 52:59Speaker 2: I believe it. Okay, So nineteen ninety four, Uh huh,
- 53:06Speaker 2: she's she was seventeen, lived Tyler. She's the same age
- 53:08Speaker 2: as my brother. I didn't realize that.
- 53:11Speaker 1: All right, that's still too young, Natalie, still too Yeah,
- 53:17Speaker 1: I mean, do you not see me dying inside? I
- 53:22Speaker 1: think that gave me. Oh what are my other favorite lines?
- 53:26Speaker 1: Is what are you doing with the gun in space?
- 53:29Speaker 1: And I was like, bro, what are you doing.
- 53:31Speaker 2: With the gun? He doesn't. Again, my brain goes, I
- 53:35Speaker 2: actually know a faara mount about pew pews because I
- 53:39Speaker 2: was raised by a cough. And I'm thinking, I don't
- 53:43Speaker 2: think that's gonna actually work. Holl meol Like those are
- 53:47Speaker 2: the science I did know from the movie.
- 53:49Speaker 1: Actually I don't know how the robot's guns were and
- 53:55Speaker 1: why doesn't the robot have a gun in space? What
- 53:58Speaker 1: could the Mars rover need a robot four or done
- 54:02Speaker 1: for I don't know.
- 54:03Speaker 2: I don't know. I honestly don't know, Like it literally
- 54:06Speaker 2: is like I can't believe, Like I just there's so
- 54:10Speaker 2: many things watching this movie back from just like I
- 54:13Speaker 2: watched this movie multiple times, and because I saw it
- 54:16Speaker 2: in the movie theater a couple of times, and then
- 54:18Speaker 2: of course when it came out on VHS, I bought it, duh,
- 54:21Speaker 2: And like I sat there watching it the other day
- 54:24Speaker 2: and I was just like, how did we not call
- 54:29Speaker 2: so much into question about this film?
- 54:33Speaker 1: Because because the trick was too good?
- 54:36Speaker 2: I was gonna say, is it because we were enamored
- 54:38Speaker 2: by Steven Tyler's vocal stylings? Always always full, Jules?
- 54:44Speaker 1: We are rounded up on that hour? Did we talk
- 54:46Speaker 1: about the movie?
- 54:47Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 54:47Speaker 1: I have no dementia, which apparently looks just like normal
- 54:57Speaker 1: male behavior. Also, you know what else did it happen
- 55:00Speaker 1: with the when their spacesuits exploded and they died, No
- 55:04Speaker 1: one turned into ice? And I thought that that's how
- 55:06Speaker 1: Bruce Willis died. I did think about the nuke. I
- 55:10Speaker 1: thought he froze to death, because that's what I know
- 55:14Speaker 1: happens in space.
- 55:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what guardians are. The galaxy taught us. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 55:20Speaker 2: The nuke thing was interesting too, Like there was just
- 55:22Speaker 2: a lot of like we believe these things can exist
- 55:25Speaker 2: in space because they happen on.
- 55:26Speaker 1: Earth, just like we deserve the dinosaurs deserve to roam
- 55:32Speaker 1: the Earth again, but only in a zoo. Just like
- 55:38Speaker 1: I don't care that that lion is a apex predator
- 55:44Speaker 1: of the savannah and climbs fucking mountains in Africa.
- 55:47Speaker 2: He can't get to you. We put did I tell
- 55:49Speaker 2: you that?
- 55:50Speaker 1: The last time I was at the zoo, I watched
- 55:52Speaker 1: a squirrel just parkour off of the like electrical feds
- 55:56Speaker 1: that they keep around the lions. And I will say it,
- 55:58Speaker 1: I was like, it's not even on. I goel that squirrel.
- 56:02Speaker 1: That squirrel just walked it like a tight rope.
- 56:05Speaker 2: That or he's just so fast it's not gonna get on.
- 56:08Speaker 2: He just parkour. That's how squirrels survive. They are the
- 56:13Speaker 2: inventors of parkour. Oh my god.
- 56:16Speaker 1: One time I had like a whole ass gaggle like
- 56:19Speaker 1: sixteen squirrels of my yard and I was like, I'm
- 56:21Speaker 1: gonna be late to whatever I'm going to because it
- 56:23Speaker 1: was just too fun watching little plays. Butch was how
- 56:27Speaker 1: comfortable where you were with my choice of Armageddon.
- 56:30Speaker 2: I am not comfortable with this movie at all. Everybody,
- 56:36Speaker 2: come on, it's there's and it's like, you know how
- 56:40Speaker 2: like there's some movies when they use the R word
- 56:42Speaker 2: and you're like, okay, like everything else is fine, Like.
- 56:46Speaker 1: What's eating Gilbert grape? What do you mean when the
- 56:50Speaker 1: lewis oh?
- 56:51Speaker 2: Okay? You know, as an example that comes to mind,
- 56:55Speaker 2: here spray yeah, and I feel like ten things I
- 56:59Speaker 2: hate about you and drop it, so like that's what.
- 57:02Speaker 2: But but like this is like this is like it's
- 57:05Speaker 2: not it's not just the R word. It's like it's
- 57:07Speaker 2: like you're you're just watching this and you're like, something's
- 57:10Speaker 2: not right. And then the and then the scene with
- 57:13Speaker 2: you know, Mark Curry and the New York getting blown up,
- 57:16Speaker 2: and then and then and then the R word and
- 57:19Speaker 2: then and then and you're just like, there's no saving
- 57:22Speaker 2: grace for this film in terms of age, and it's
- 57:27Speaker 2: best so uncomfortable. And then when they're showing New York
- 57:32Speaker 2: getting hit by all the asteroids and then they do
- 57:34Speaker 2: a pan of the skyline and the Twin Towers are
- 57:37Speaker 2: on fire, I was like, this is so awkward, like
- 57:44Speaker 2: that the what you're saying, I mean, I get it,
- 57:45Speaker 2: it's like years before nine to eleven, but now we're
- 57:49Speaker 2: in a post nine to eleven world, So like seeing
- 57:51Speaker 2: that imagery is very alarming.
- 57:54Speaker 1: So you're saying that nine to eleven not only took
- 57:56Speaker 1: away country music but also the film Armageddon, I'm leaving
- 58:04Speaker 1: that live on the internet. You can't tell me otherwise
- 58:07Speaker 1: that Toby Keith didn't use a tragedy to ruin country music.
- 58:14Speaker 2: So yeah, so I'm very uncomfortable with this movie. And
- 58:18Speaker 2: so yeah, Natalie, the next movie I pick is gonna
- 58:21Speaker 2: be a fucking sports.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Movie, not another sports movie.
- 58:27Speaker 2: JK.
- 58:28Speaker 1: We picked. Here's the thing everyone, here's a little behind
- 58:31Speaker 1: the scenes behind the curtain, Okay, Beach Jos and I,
- 58:36Speaker 1: Jules and I we sat down on one of our
- 58:39Speaker 1: weekly meetings and we were like, you know what movies
- 58:41Speaker 1: have anniversaries? And we look and I found a list
- 58:46Speaker 1: that took us month through month anniversary films like big
- 58:50Speaker 1: ones like twenty, twenty, fifth, ten, fifteen, like shit that
- 58:53Speaker 1: I was like, surely this will be on the internet
- 58:56Speaker 1: and the hashtags and the algorithm.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 59:00Speaker 1: And then so then we crafted an entire Still Comfy
- 59:05Speaker 1: season around that because it's again twenty five years, right,
- 59:11Speaker 1: So yeah, Notice how no one we're talking eighteen because
- 59:16Speaker 1: it's ninety eight.
- 59:17Speaker 2: It's ninety eight, so twenty five. Notice how no one's
- 59:20Speaker 2: talking about the twenty fifth anniversary of Armageddon or.
- 59:24Speaker 1: Did we miss it because it was in the summer.
- 59:26Speaker 1: I know no one was talking about it. No one
- 59:29Speaker 1: went on Instagram live, because that's how I found out
- 59:31Speaker 1: that Ten Things I Hate About You was having it
- 59:33Speaker 1: or not How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days
- 59:36Speaker 1: was having an anniversary. So Joels and I we played
- 59:39Speaker 1: a whole fucking Still Coffee season, and then you know
- 59:41Speaker 1: what happens. You know what happens. Those Disney executives decided
- 59:45Speaker 1: to get really fucking greedy, and they were like, you know,
- 59:48Speaker 1: who doesn't deserve to eat the writers that we've built
- 59:51Speaker 1: our platform above upon. So the Jewels and I were like, well,
- 59:55Speaker 1: there goes our movie show. And then we had another
- 59:58Speaker 1: one of our meetings and strike stuff was getting lessened,
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: and and we were just like, all right, we got
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: to fucking plan and we literally just took that list
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: and moved it to new dates, not thinking are there
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: other movies you've listed, We've listed like eighteen other movies
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: that we enjoy on this Life. Ten things I hate
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: about you? Clue, are you done? Clueless? Rock Star rock Star,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Field of Dream Field of Dreams, Uh, deep impact?
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: Maybe I probably? I don't know the meg.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: And at no point did we go should we read
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: this list or should we just move it to new dates?
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: We run like two to three shows eat each We
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: write blogs. We are our own copywritersrite.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: Editors, letters, We have newsletter.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: We guest on other shows, guest on other shows.
- 1:01:00Speaker 2: I'm always hustling. I one person partner, well two people,
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: like we have our partnership, but then also our individual
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: we what we do. We should have staff to help,
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: but we don't. Penelope just slowly begins to.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: Resent me every day. She's like Mom's always talking on
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: that microphone, but never be Yeah, the Penelopees live, Tyler.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: I have time to read the list, let alone think
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: about nineties racism, and I guess that's on me as
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: a white member of our team.
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: So go read the.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Other Black Girl.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: It's supported on Ulu.
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: Yes, that's air next book club, pick right to make
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: up for my sins?
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: Make up for your sins?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: My child, Julia, let him know what's what's going on?
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: In are millions of things? Speaking of all the shit
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: that we do this week on pop Culture makes me jealous.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Where we analyze pop culture through the lens of race
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: or gender and sometimes both. We are dropping an episode
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: about Freaky Friday, not the Still Comfy episode that we
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: did a few weeks ago here on Still Comfy, but
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: with special guest Chris DeRosa. He love, I love christ Rosa.
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: He is a fixing famous people fame. He's a TV
- 1:02:18Speaker 2: producer for reality television. He is hilarious.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Is everyone praying at noon for Britney a all of
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Chrysta Rosa's prayer chain?
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: Yeah? All you know about that one I'm talking about.
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: You know, I'll let you talk about that when I'm done.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: And so that's tomorrow. We also have coming up, if
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: I can get it done before tomorrow, is the Jelly
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: Pops book Club. We're taking a look at the Perks
