- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:13issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, Demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox. These recordings took place live
- 0:22from Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Adam here and if you're.
- 0:41Listening to this, it might be because you have.
- 0:44Either a compulsion or you impulse eat.
- 0:47And this particular session is really designed to help.
- 0:51With two key things, one, releasing the emotions that
- 0:54might be linked to impulsive eating and secondly, to
- 0:59introduce friction and behavioral techniques.
- 1:02That can actually make that. Compulsive eating less.
- 1:06Impactful. This is mainly about weight loss
- 1:10and certain kind of processed foods or hyper processed foods
- 1:13which can be very. Addictive, but it also has.
- 1:17Links to other compulsions that the client that I was working
- 1:19with had they would occasionally compulsively pick.
- 1:22At their skin or. Do compulsive shopping and
- 1:26that's why. There is time.
- 1:28Friction introduced. As a key.
- 1:30Suggestion in this hypnosis session that becomes very
- 1:34helpful, very useful for people that can relate to them.
- 1:38So if you can relate to the idea of eating certain foods not
- 1:41because you even like them, but it just feels.
- 1:43Like an impulse. Or a compulsion that you have to
- 1:47you should get some value from this session.
- 1:49The session itself was created. For an individual.
- 1:51That had recently gone through a bereavement of a close family
- 1:55member, which is why there is. The release.
- 1:57Of a particular emotion there at the beginning that might not be
- 2:01relevant for you and some of the compulsions that this.
- 2:04Client had might not. Relate to you either, so ignore
- 2:06any suggestions that aren't quite right, hone into the ones
- 2:09that are, and if you like the idea of working with me directly
- 2:13so we can actually do a session specific to you, there will be a
- 2:16link in the description where you.
- 2:18Can schedule. A completely free consultation
- 2:20call over Zoom. We'll have a chat and who knows,
- 2:22I might end up working with you directly.
- 2:25For now though. Find a quiet.
- 2:26Comfortable place where? You won't be disturbed.
- 2:29Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 2:59you breathe in, breathe in quiet feeling of calm confidence, and
- 3:11as you exhale, feel that wonderful feeling of release.
- 3:19Any tension around your eyelids, your jaw, your neck or
- 3:23shoulders. Just allow that feeling of
- 3:27tension to leave your body on the next inward breath.
- 3:39Breathe in. Just a little bit.
- 3:42Deeper than the last, and as you exhale, allow the breath to keep
- 3:53on going outwards long after you'd normally finish activating
- 4:02that diaphragm. So you breathe in deeper and
- 4:10exhale for longer. Each breath takes you deeper and
- 4:21deeper, relaxed. And I want you to feel that
- 4:30you're about to be transported. I want you to imagine.
- 4:40Imagine a bridge high above a valley, and at the bottom of the
- 4:48valley is a winding river. And imagine being right in the
- 4:56central part of that bridge and looking down, seeing the the
- 5:01valley, the ravine, the river beneath, maybe far down.
- 5:08And I know you've been holding on to things for longer than
- 5:13you've needed. For some people, it's shame or
- 5:20blame, guilt or tiredness. For others, it's sadness or
- 5:27grief. But I want you to feel there on
- 5:32the bridge. This is the place to release.
- 5:39Because sometimes certain compulsions, certain habits, are
- 5:47not the problem, but the symptom, a symptom of a
- 5:51suppressed emotion that comes out in strange or unusual ways.
- 6:00But if we release the emotion that's suppressed, those
- 6:05compulsions, those habits can disappear quickly.
- 6:12Because why do you need a coping strategy if you don't?
- 6:18Need to cope? In the same way that if you
- 6:24needed to open the window of a room because the room is so hot,
- 6:30but then the room is no longer so hot, there is no need to open
- 6:35the window. And I want you to imagine seeing
- 6:42a trapdoor there, the top of that bridge.
- 6:48And you can look down from the safety of the bridge through
- 6:51that trapdoor, seeing all of the distance down to that valley and
- 6:58river below. And I want you to scan your body
- 7:07for any emotions that have been suppressed.
- 7:14It doesn't matter what they are. It could be a regret.
- 7:17It could be some sadness, frustration, even anger or hate.
- 7:24But I want you to grip your right hand into a clenched fist.
- 7:33And I want you to imagine that your body is taking any emotion
- 7:39that is suppressed from wherever it may be lurking in your body
- 7:46and transferring it into your clenched fist.
- 7:53Scan your body for any sadness. Move it into that hand.
- 8:01Scan your body for any anger and move it into that hand.
- 8:07And I want you to imagine a rock forming inside your clenched
- 8:15fist, a rock of emotion. Look for any regrets, even
- 8:25embarrassment, any judgement, any pain.
- 8:34Move it from you into that hand. Clench it.
- 8:40Feel the rock forming, feel it growing, like you're distilling
- 8:47the emotions there into the rock in that hand.
- 8:58Any blame, any shame, move it from you into the hand that's
- 9:06in. And as you do it, feel the
- 9:13weight of that rock, maybe even the size of a Pebble in that
- 9:19hand. And then search for anything
- 9:23else, any echoes of emotions suppressed, bottled up, hidden
- 9:32deep within, and just allow it to transfer from that location
- 9:39through your body, down your arm into that hand.
- 9:44And then imagine opening the palm of your hand and seeing the
- 9:49shape, weight, and size of that rock.
- 9:57And if you could imagine that rock of emotion there in the
- 10:01palm of your hand, you know, by nodding your head, that's it.
- 10:06And you retain all of the wisdom, all of the inside, all
- 10:12of the learning, but no longer the emotions.
- 10:18And then imagine throwing it, throwing it down the trapdoor,
- 10:24seeing it hurtling all the way down, and notice how much
- 10:29lighter you feel because these emotions have been carrying a
- 10:37weight, and now you've released the weight.
- 10:43Don't be surprised if your body recalibrates because emotions
- 10:51are heavier than materials. All of those emotions in that
- 10:58rock might be 5101520 kilograms worth of physical weight there
- 11:08in all of that emotion. And now you've let that go, Your
- 11:13brain, your body, your unconscious can start to
- 11:18recalibrate. Disempowering emotions need to
- 11:24be fed with disempowering foods. Now you've released those
- 11:31disempowering emotions, don't be surprised if you crave real
- 11:38natural foods, the kind of foods powered by sunshine and
- 11:47rainwater. I want you to imagine what it
- 11:53would be like to crave real vegetables, real fruits, real
- 12:01meats, real fish, or real eggs, knowing that there are infinite
- 12:08ways that you're able to prepare them.
- 12:14Even just three or four different ingredients can make
- 12:19over 100 combinations of meals, and I want you to remind
- 12:25yourself of just how much you like real food.
- 12:37I want you to get a feeling that processed foods act more like a
- 12:43drug to the body than a food, a feeling of pleasure that comes
- 12:51at a price. But I want you to imagine what
- 12:55it would be like to crave something real.
- 13:01Real fruit, real vegetables, real food.
- 13:09And I want you to imagine that any digestive problems wasn't
- 13:14the problem, but the symptom. The Canary and the coal mine.
- 13:21What if things that happen in the gut are a side effect of the
- 13:29food that you put in your mouth? And when the food that you chew
- 13:34changes, don't be surprised if your whole body reacts
- 13:40differently. I want you to get a feeling.
- 13:46Then compulsions can come and compulsions can grow into
- 13:56evolutions that enable you to realise that compulsions weren't
- 14:03that compulsive all along. I want you to get a feeling that
- 14:10when it comes to food, what if you have an agreement with
- 14:16yourself that with processed foods you have to wait an hour
- 14:27to see if you still want them. Imagine setting a timer, maybe a
- 14:36glass sand timer, maybe an alarm on your phone.
- 14:43And just imagine that after an hour, 9 times out of 10, the
- 14:52desire to have that same food isn't there anymore.
- 15:00You are an hour away from being free of food compulsions, but
- 15:09you are seconds away from any compulsion to pick at your skin
- 15:18when there's an itch or a desire to scratch or pick last seconds.
- 15:28So just imagine wiggling your fingers or clicking your fingers
- 15:33before any urge turns into reality, and realise that that's
- 15:39all it takes for that fleeting feeling to pass.
- 15:48Seconds with your skin, an hour with food.
- 15:53And imagine with shopping, you give yourself A1 day rule, but
- 16:00if it's something that feels like an impulse or compulsive
- 16:04buy, you come back the next day and see if you still want it.
- 16:11And if you do, you buy it. And if you don't, you don't.
- 16:19And I want you to feel that by introducing time and friction,
- 16:28don't be surprised if more than 90% of impulsive and compulsive
- 16:35behaviours disappear rapidly. Because if the feeling goes
- 16:42away, why do you need to do the thing?
- 16:50I want you to imagine now seeing a large screen from that bridge
- 16:54over the valley showing your future.
- 17:00And I want you to see your future where more than 80% of
- 17:05what you eat is natural foods, living by a helpful code, not a
- 17:17rule, but a standard. And that is?
- 17:23Natural Foods. First processed foods after and
- 17:29ultra high processed foods rarely.
- 17:33And I want you to imagine that the first few days are the
- 17:36hardest as you're teaching your body what to like, what to want
- 17:42and what to crave. But notice that even after a few
- 17:47days, it gets easier after a. Week see yourself.
- 17:52With more clarity, more energy. The hardest week is the first
- 17:59week. The second week is easier
- 18:04because you've already built momentum.
- 18:09And I want you to imagine in this future, it isn't just that.
- 18:14It's natural foods first, processed foods after.
- 18:19We would also see in this future that anything impulsive you
- 18:25delay. Almost like if there was a
- 18:31nagging child throwing a tantrum and got whatever it wanted after
- 18:37the tantrum, you would know that you would expect more tantrums.
- 18:44These impulsive thoughts, whenever you reward them, ensure
- 18:48you get more impulsive thoughts. So you delay the impulsive
- 18:55thoughts, but mindful conscious decisions that empower you, you
- 19:02reward that with instant action. And I want you to see how the
- 19:08weeks turn into months and the months turn into a year.
- 19:13A year of natural foods, first processed foods after more
- 19:22natural vegetables, fruits, real meats, fish and egg.
- 19:27And just see how your. Body changes.
- 19:30How your confidence increases, but I want you to see in that
- 19:34future because the impulse is gone.
- 19:40You don't need to avoid certain foods, you simply don't want
- 19:45them in that. Future you can.
- 19:48See perhaps certain types of food they're available, and see
- 19:59yourself absolutely ambivalent to it, like it doesn't exist
- 20:08because you simply don't want it.
- 20:10And if you could imagine that future?
- 20:16Let me know by nodding your head and then imagine floating into
- 20:21the future and feeling what it would feel like one year from
- 20:23now. Looking at yourself in a full
- 20:26length mirror, seeing how your body shape has changed, Your
- 20:33eyes seem brighter, skin fresher, glowing, smiling more,
- 20:40wearing clothes that you like. And I want you to feel that
- 20:46there is no desire to have ultra high processed foods, but also
- 20:53knowing that if you do have them, maybe on a special
- 20:57occasion in the time that follows, you will prioritise
- 21:06natural foods much more so that you're training your body and
- 21:11your brain to like real food with real nutrients, giving you
- 21:17real energy. And then imagine drifting back
- 21:24there to the bridge. And then imagine from the bridge
- 21:28drifting back back to your reality feeling then.
- 21:38You're simply days. Away from a healthier stomach,
- 21:42healthier gut. In technology, they say garbage
- 21:49in, garbage out. When writing code, I want you to
- 21:53feel that the more natural foods you eat, the more natural your
- 21:58health, energy and vitality, and the more natural your digestive
- 22:05system feels. It's time to return to the
- 22:09present now. So take a deep breath in through
- 22:11your nose and out through your nose.
- 22:16Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle your toes.
- 22:21Connect and calibrate. Into the here and the now as I
- 22:25now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 22:30Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert 7-8 open your
- 22:39eyes. Open your eyes 910 Wide awake,
- 22:43Wide awake. Wide awake.
