Here is Mr. Burke's mug shot. He is charged with a couple of

Also, there are special circumstances right there,

aggravators that he murdered a witness, somebody who witnessed

his crimes, namely the protracted essay of Celeste

Rivas and that and then he, you know, desecrated A corpse and

So he's facing major charges. He could be facing the death

There's, there's some information that we know about

Deformita's childhood. We know he was born March 28th,

TX. He grew up in Houston, grew up

I've seen both things, but he was, he was raised in a

religious household. He was homeschooled for portions

of his upbringing. I know that there has been some

kind of eyelash or something on my microphone.

I know that there's been some commentary on that.

I grew up in a religious house household and I consider my

upbringing extremely happy. I don't think it has to do with

the amount of observation or the fact that it is you're in a

religious or an, a religious home.

If you're in an unhappy home, that and that crosses all

boundaries, right? And, and homeschooling for me.

I mean, our son-in-law didn't go to public school.

He he did cyber school. We have children that did

homeschool for a couple years of their education.

So to me that's not a red flag either.

There were some other red flags though, as far like there there

But anyway, his childhood was described as spending a lot of

time playing video games, creating Internet content.

He was heavily interested in YouTube and Internet culture,

content creation, gaming, spent much of his free time learning,

editing online media production. I mean he was editing on his

phone and so forth. So around 2019-2020 began

posting gaming related videos online, things like Fortnite,

what am I blinking on, Minecraft, things like that that

are popular on YouTube and TikTok.

And through 2021, he continued building this online audience
12:57
through content creation surrounding gaming.

And according to multiple interviews, he began experience
13:03
experimenting with music after receiving copyright strikes.

Copyright strikes on video games on on content that he created
13:14
surrounding video games. And he needed original audio for
13:17
uploads. So apparently he taught himself
13:20
how to produce music using Bandlab.

It will. I mean, this is all pretty darn

recent. 2022, Burke began releasing songs under the stage
13:31
name Deformada. Early songs gained traction on
13:35
TikTok, YouTube Shorts. And then it was that year,

January 22, that according to prosecutors, this is in in
13:44
documents that have been filed in court, Burke first met
13:50
Celeste Rivas Hernandez. She was at the time 11 now
13:59
throughout 20/22, his audience is growing rapidly, right?

He's got these original songs they're gaining momentum and you
14:08
know, mostly through TikTok reposts and in July of that
14:14
year, he released Romantic homicide.

Now this I I admittedly is the only song that I have actually

listened to from Deforevida. I I mean, I could tell that it
14:27
was I could tell that it was produced with with low quality
14:34
equipment right produced in his closet, but it did it exploded.

It did, it charted on the Billboard Hot 100.

It, it entered the Spotify viral Charts.

I mean, hundreds and hundreds of millions of streams.

And that that got him industry attention very, very quickly.

It was in that same year, 2022, that he signed with Darkroom

Records and the Interscope Records.

And so he started to make his transition from an independent

artist kind of growing up in a I, I don't know, suffocating

home. I don't know if that's fair, but

that's what it seems like to me, suffocating home as an
15:27
independent artist and then transitioning to a major label.

Also late 2022, he secured professional management, right.

Moving into early 2023, he had another breakout success called
15:44
Here With Me. So both Romantic Homicide and
15:49
Here Here With Me were major hits and he had become one of
15:53
the fastest growing young artists online.

What does that mean? That means that he is the shark,

eating all the fish, leaving juicy bits floating in the water

and he is going to be surrounded by so many people that just want
16:10
the tender vittles, right? Want the scraps so he is
16:14
becoming a cash cow he is surrounded by people who want to
16:19
cash in on his fame. This probably includes his
16:23
family members, his friends, certainly professionals in the
16:28
industry. I I honestly think that one of
16:31
the tragedies in all this is that he's certainly in my mind,
16:36
this is my opinion was not alone in his knowledge of the of the
16:42
death of Celeste Rivas for sure. I mean, there's not even a
16:48
question in my mind for that, for that one.

This is my opinion. Early 2023, he began appearing

in major music publications. He kept he started doing
16:58
interviews. Everything around him had to do

with how quickly he was rising. The they talked about how, you
17:08
know, he made his music in his sister's closet at his home and
17:12
becoming famous almost entirely through TikTok.

And by 2023, in the spring, his streaming numbers reportedly
17:21
crossed into the billions across platforms.

So now that cash cow is fat, right?

Mixing lots of metaphors. I tend to do that.

Mid 2023, He's touring larger venues.

He's appearing at major festivals.

He is being widely described in entertainment media as one of

the music industry's fastest rising young artists.

But in November 23, that is when, according to prosecutors,

at the age of 18, Burke began a sexual relationship with

Celeste, age 13. To me, guys, and I think to most

of us, right, I know that there are Romeo and Juliet laws for
18:13
kiddos that are close in age. One of them turns 18 first, you
18:19
know, before the other. And, and I, I totally get that
18:23
And, and I understand those laws, but a five year difference
18:27
in a 13 year old's life, more than 1/3 of her life older than
18:34
her, that is, that's gross. It's creepy.

That is SA is what that is. OK, so we move forward to

February 17th, 2024. Celeste is reported missing.

According to prosecutors, authorities contacted Mr. Burke

after discovering his number in her phone records, and he is

told by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, hey, she's

13. And he goes, I, well, first of
19:17
all, I haven't even seen her. Secondly, 13 what what get out

of town, but I haven't seen her. I haven't seen her.

And magically, 2 days later, Celeste returns home.

Remember, Celeste is from Riverside County.

The Inland Empire is what they call that area down there, 70

miles from Los Angeles, which is where Mr. Burke was now based at
19:43
the time. So prosecutors, obviously, they
19:47
argued that Burke continued that relationship after having been
19:54
warned about her age. Of course, through all this, De
19:59
Forvida is growing more and more commercially viable.

He's touring, he's collaborating, he's streaming

even more. His social media visibility is
20:12
just going through the roof. And then in April, April 5th of

2024, Celeste Rivas is reported missing again by family members.

And this is the final missing persons report before her death.

Prosecutors allege that starting in about April, going through
20:35
the summer of 2024, that Celeste travelled with Burke to Las
20:44
Vegas, to Texas and to London. And I like, it doesn't

specifically say London, England could be London, KY, but I, I
20:55
think it's England, right? And by this point, I, I mean,

not only is there an age difference, there's a power

imbalance, right? And in my opinion, Burke is, I
21:10
mean, he, I think he's a predator at this point.

I, I don't mean I think he's a predator at this point.

I think that he is a practiced predator at this point.

I don't think the Celeste is his only victim.

I think there's probably more, right?

And he's using his celebrity and his rapid rise and his money and

his, you know, his fame and everything that goes living in a

mansion in the Hollywood Hills. All of that creates a huge power

imbalance and creates a, a like a bait, like a lure for for a

person like Celeste who was just lured into all of it.

You know, he's, he's now into the multiple billions of streams

across all of his platforms. By this point, his songs have

become staples on TikTok, on Spotify, you know, all the

different streaming platforms and, and they're starting to be

used as in like emotionally themed, you know, relationship

themed content online. And that summer man, his

visibility just exploded right now.

In late 2024, prosecutors say that relationship tensions

started to develop between Deformada and Celeste.

I hate using the word relationship here, but I I don't

know if there's any other descriptor that we can use.

She thought that it was a relationship.

It was not. It was him taking advantage of

her and assaying her over the course of a long period of time.

But let's say she felt that there was tension in there and

what she believed was her relationship.

And in November, they quote UN quote, broke up, right?

Though according to prosecutors, they continued communicating and

they continued sexually late 2024.

There are alleged text messages discussing this relationship

conflict, pregnancy concerns, abortion, fears about public

exposure of their relationship, which tells me Deformita knew

what he was doing was wrong. He's not some 1819 year old

failure to launch. He knows that what he's doing is

wrong, right? Late 2024 industry expectations

started to intensify around his debut album roll out, future

touring plans and in early 2025 his his career.

Well, let's see. The main viewpoint of his career

was that he's about to break out into the mainstream.

He had billions of cumulative streams.

He had massive TikTok exposure. He had international

recognition. He was touring, he was opening

for big names, and he had a growing industry investment

behind him. And it was at that point,

prosecutors say, that Celeste threatened to expose their, what

she probably believed was a relationship publicly.

That also means to me that she knew that what they were doing

was wrong. I mean, we've seen and I'd love

OK April 11th, 2025, we're getting close to the date that

moments to that point in his career, right?

Coachella Big, big, big stage April 22nd, so 11 days later,

April 22nd. According to prosecutors, Burke

and Celeste exchange a long series of texts.

Celeste allegedly threatened to reveal to the public that they

were in a sexual relationship. Prosecutors say that Burke

feared this would completely derail his career, ruin his

life. And so the following day, on the

23rd, prosecutors say that Burke sent an Uber all the way down to

the well, it was probably already in, but all the way down

to Celeste's house in Lake Elsinore in Riverside County.

And that Uber picks her up and brings her all the way to the

Hollywood Hills. This, according to

investigators, was the last confirmed day that Celeste was

alive. Surveillance and digital

evidence placed her at his residence.

Let's see, prosecutors believe that is the day she died, April

not only is the success building that the, but the pressure for

over to the house where he lay in wait and stabbed her to

The next day, the next day, April 24th, tickets for his

world tour officially go on sale.

Industry Reporting described the tour as a major milestone in his

It was also on this day, also on this day that according to

prosecutors, Deforevida purchased a shovel, some

cleaning supplies and some other suspicious items.

Right, the 25th. So we're two days and then

probably not even completely 48 hours.

We're on the second day past the murder of Celeste Rivas,

according to prosecutors. He releases his debut album

called Withered. And of course, it's heavily

promoted. It's viewed as a defining moment

in his career. It's it's continuing that that

upward trajectory and the following day, according to

prosecutors. So we're now on April 26th.

That was the last day that David Anthony Burke, also known as De

Forvida, tried reaching out to Celeste, like texting her.

So it feels like he's trying to cover up, like she's not

answering anything. She's her her phone stops, all

of her digital everything stops. And and he reaches out, you

know, trying to trying to contact her on the 26th.

Of course, investigators are like, well, she's already dead.

So throughout late April, going into May to July, he continues

his public appearances and prosecutors are alleging that

Celeste's remains are hidden at this point.
