- 0:01Continuation of the Holy Gospel according to Saint Luke At that
- 0:06time, when the multitude pressed upon Jesus to hear the word of
- 0:10God, he stood by the lake of Genesarath, and he saw two ships
- 0:16standing by the lake, But the fishermen were gone out of them,
- 0:21and were washing their Nets and going up into one of the ships
- 0:24that was Simon's. He desired him to draw back a
- 0:28little from the land, and sitting he taught the multitudes
- 0:32out of the ship. Now when he had ceased to speak,
- 0:36he said to Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your
- 0:40Nets for a draught. And Simon answering said to him,
- 0:45Master, we have labored all the night and have taken nothing,
- 0:48but at thy word I will let down the net.
- 0:52When they had done this, they enclosed a very great multitude
- 0:55of fishes, and their net broke, and they beckoned to their
- 0:59partners that were in the other ship, that they should come and
- 1:03help them. And they came and filled both
- 1:06the ships, so that they were almost sinking, which when Simon
- 1:11Peter saw, he fell down at Jesus knees, saying, Depart from me,
- 1:17for I am a sinful man, O Lord. For he was wholly astonished,
- 1:22and all that were with him at the drought of fishes which they
- 1:25had taken. And so were also James and John,
- 1:29the sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners.
- 1:33And Jesus saith to Simon, Fear not, from henceforth thou shalt
- 1:38catch men. And having brought their ships
- 1:42to land, leaving all things, they followed him.
