- Ben: Morning, welcome to your short term rental bulletin on the 25th of August. So I thought this was super interesting today. So Verbo basically will now sell you to be at the top of its search page, but it only charges you when you guess books. So what's going on here? Expedia published the full partner guide on the 6th of August. And what I want to dig into is kind of a mechanics of that. because some of the June coverage described a different model. Verbo calls it paid per booked night. So essentially you set a bid and if you win the auction, your listing can appear at the top of the results page when a traveler filters match your property. Nothing for the impressions, nothing for the click. You only play when the guest books. Minimum bid is $5 per booked night, no maximum. And you cannot see what anybody else has bid. So working on the master of this, $5 on 150 a night is 3.3 % of your rate on top of a commission you already pay. So on a hundred a night, that's 5%. That's the floor, not the price. So it's a blind auction. So... in a peak week for clearing big raises and everybody's bidding against you in your comp set. So set that beside a premier host. Verbo asked for a 4.6 review score and a 99 % acceptance rate with zero partner cancellations, reassessed quarterly. The first benefit of it lists for clearing that the bar is improved search position. that position is now purchasable. Now, the guide runs in the UK and European editions with bids into the pounds and euros, but Expedia publishes no market list. So check your own dashboard. When visibility goes on sale, the operators who own their demand never have to bid for it. So that's your Tuesday bulletin. Thank you for watching and I'll see you tomorrow.
