- 0:00Welcome to Frontline static, we will get to hear interviews with
- 0:02some of my clients journeys of getting into flight and how they
- 0:05utilize coaching to help them create success of getting hired
- 0:08with less confusion and more ease.
- 0:10Make your dream a reality of getting into flight.
- 0:12Listen in as you hear some of the stories of the people
- 0:14getting there and come join the flight prep group.
- 0:17Hey you guys, welcome to episode 129 of how to become a flight
- 0:21nurse podcast. This episode is not going to be
- 0:24anything about flight nursing. I'm going to be talking to you
- 0:26about my new coaching group called the Shift Coaching Group,
- 0:30and I think to talk about it fully, I want to start at the
- 0:36beginning on how it's been something in the making for the
- 0:38last four years. So I'm going to take you back to
- 0:42Episode 1. If you haven't listened to it,
- 0:44I'm kind of going to recap it and let you know a little bit of
- 0:47my about my story. And then we're going to go into
- 0:49why I created it and what's included in it and when you can
- 0:53get enrolled in it. So I found coaching at a time in
- 0:56my life where I deeply, deeply needed it.
- 0:59I have been a nurse now for almost 15 years, which is kind
- 1:03of crazy to think about. And during that time, I've spent
- 1:08all my time in critical care with high acuity patients.
- 1:11I spent about 6 years of that in no four years, I'm sorry, and a
- 1:18medical surgical ICU. And then I went on to flight for
- 1:23about 6 1/2, seven years flight nursing.
- 1:27And then I've been retired, fully retired now for the last
- 1:30three years. So I'm going to tell you a
- 1:33little bit about my story of how I found coaching and how it's
- 1:35been so pivotal for me because I think it's good to have an
- 1:40understanding of my background and what it has really done for
- 1:45me and how it has created so many good things for me in my
- 1:51life life. And so this is going to be a raw
- 1:54episode. I'm going to get pretty
- 1:56vulnerable. I'm going to tell you about some
- 1:57personal things. And I just hope that something
- 2:01that I say resonates with one of you guys out there that's
- 2:05listening. So I found coaching after I'd
- 2:08been a flight nurse maybe for two or three years.
- 2:12I know it was early on in my flight nursing career.
- 2:15I was really, really, really good at compartmentalizing what
- 2:19happened on shift and not bringing it home.
- 2:25I was able to like shift really well in and out of the job and
- 2:29the intensity of what I did and then be home with my four small
- 2:33children at the time. I remember my three older kids
- 2:36'cause they're really close in age, They're only my twins are
- 2:41two years apart from my oldest and then my youngest is five
- 2:44years difference between my twins.
- 2:46But my three older kids had to have been, I think they were
- 2:49just all turning teenage age and I was struggling with the weight
- 2:54of having three teenagers at the same time and really navigating
- 2:58a high intensity job. And I know a lot of you guys can
- 3:01relate to this, especially mothers who have full time jobs.
- 3:07Working has always been something that I deeply, deeply
- 3:10desired. And I struggled with a lot of
- 3:13mom guilt over the years of really desiring to not be a stay
- 3:18at home mom, but still have a family, have a big family and
- 3:22and raise children at the same time.
- 3:25And so it was a conversation that I had had earlier on with
- 3:28my husband before we got married, before we had kids,
- 3:31that that was always is my deep desire.
- 3:35Well, at this time, I was kind of struggling with the mom
- 3:38guilt. I was struggling with having 33
- 3:40kids that were teenage age. And I also remember really,
- 3:46really struggling with the weight of patient losses.
- 3:49Now, I had patient losses leading up to this, but in in
- 3:54flight they were they were really intense.
- 3:57And there were some shifts where you could have multiple patients
- 4:03where things didn't necessarily go as planned or, you know, you
- 4:07didn't have good patient outcomes.
- 4:09And I remember this particular poignant moment after a couple
- 4:14years of flying and my kids were all becoming teenage your age
- 4:17when I had lost, I think 4 patients in the span of five
- 4:21weeks. And I remember being so affected
- 4:26by it. I remember coming home and not
- 4:31wanting to have conversations with my kids, my family.
- 4:36I remember isolating myself. I remember thinking, the thought
- 4:41that no one understands what I've been through.
- 4:43So how can I go to my kids school and pick them up and talk
- 4:47to the other moms about what they made for their kids for
- 4:50lunch and how so and so their teacher wasn't treating them
- 4:55right. And I just remember thinking
- 4:56like all of these things don't matter and replaying in my mind
- 5:02the weight of the loss of these patients.
- 5:05And I was able to recognize that something felt off.
- 5:11And that's when I hired my first coach.
- 5:15And my first coach really helped me name the motion that I was
- 5:20feeling, process the sadness I was feeling from the weight of
- 5:25the patient loss, take responsibility for what the
- 5:29isolation was creating for me. And my life helped me with my
- 5:33mom guilt of of wanting a job and also parenting three
- 5:39teenagers at the time. My life changed.
- 5:44I developed better relationships, not only with
- 5:49myself and how I was feeling, but with my family, with my
- 5:53kids, with my teenagers, with my community.
- 5:57I loved my job more. I had more confidence in what I
- 6:00was doing. I had more confidence at home.
- 6:04I remember thinking also, this was a time where I was super
- 6:07confident at work. And then it was like I came home
- 6:10and it was like how how I had so much doubt about parenting and
- 6:15how to be a Good Wife and how to be a good friend and all of
- 6:18these things and coaching opened up my world of possibility and
- 6:24it gave me confidence in every single aspect of my life.
- 6:28And when I started gain the confidence, when I started to
- 6:31learn the tools of how to shift in and out of my calls and my
- 6:36job and my life confidently in every aspect, I knew I wanted to
- 6:42teach these tools that I had learned to other healthcare
- 6:45workers and 1st responders. So this is where the spark
- 6:48started. But as most of you guys feel and
- 6:51know, same as me, when your identity is caught so much up in
- 6:56the job that you do, it's hard to think beyond that.
- 6:59You could be something else. You know, you wear this uniform,
- 7:02you go in and out of your shift and you think like your identity
- 7:06is so tied to it that you you don't realize like you can be
- 7:13multiple, you can have multiple professions at one time and
- 7:18that's okay. And it's definitely possible for
- 7:21you. And so after working with my
- 7:24coach for some time, I had decided that I wanted to become
- 7:27certified and I got certified at the life coach school.
- 7:30I did an accelerated program that I think was only three
- 7:33months. We met twice a week and I
- 7:36rearranged my 24 hour shift so that I could always be on the 2
- 7:39calls. And I got my coaching
- 7:43certification. And when I first started out,
- 7:45you know, my goal was always to just put the tools that I had
- 7:49learned to change other people's lives in healthcare and ones
- 7:54that were first responders because I felt like every person
- 7:59needed these tools. My life had changed.
- 8:02It had made me so confident in every aspect that I just wanted
- 8:06to share this with everybody else.
- 8:07And so I started it. It was so funny because I
- 8:10started my Instagram page and I really didn't know anything
- 8:14about Instagram. I hadn't been on social media
- 8:16very much. And I had my kids and some of
- 8:20the people that I worked with teach me how to do it.
- 8:24And I started just posting like fun videos and things from work
- 8:28and thoughts that I was having and how to really process your
- 8:31emotions and how you're feeling. And it really, it took off.
- 8:36It did something that surprised me.
- 8:37It took off. And I realized not only that I
- 8:41want to put these tools in, in, in the hands of these people
- 8:46that I cared so much about in this industry, but I also
- 8:50realized they needed it so much. And I never, ever, ever expected
- 8:56it to go beyond me retiring in such a short amount of time.
- 9:02I thought this was a service that, that, that I'm going to be
- 9:05able to give to people who are in this industry because I love
- 9:08it so much. And then people came to me and
- 9:11they started asking me, how do you get into flight?
- 9:13And I realized like, because I've been so many, many
- 9:15interviews, I had precepted so many new people.
- 9:18I knew the process because I've been through it myself and I
- 9:20helped a lot of other people through it.
- 9:23That's when I created the process of the Flight Prep
- 9:25Academy and have this program and that took off.
- 9:28And simultaneously, if you were with me earlier on, I was
- 9:31running groups for healthcare workers and 1st responders.
- 9:34But I realized at some point I really wanted to pour into the
- 9:38Flight Prep Academy. And so I stopped those groups, I
- 9:42think about two years in and really put everything into the
- 9:46Flight Prep Academy. And since then, I have almost
- 9:49about 100 people inside the Flight Prep Academy, medics and
- 9:52nurses, various people, nursing students, EMT, various people,
- 9:56all in this process over wanting to get to flight, running this
- 9:59program and created a lot of success of helping people get
- 10:02there even before their three-year mark of being a nurse
- 10:06or being a medic. And I found so much joy in that.
- 10:10And that program is going to for sure keep continuing on.
- 10:14I'm not getting rid of that. But since I've let go of the
- 10:19healthcare worker and 1st responder groups, that desire
- 10:22has continued to grow for me. And I feel that you guys as a
- 10:31group of people are so special. We don't do it for the money,
- 10:41and maybe some people do, but we do it because we deeply love
- 10:46serving people. We deeply love helping people on
- 10:51the worst day of their lives. And I think sometimes what we
- 10:55can forget is to take care of ourselves.
- 10:58And I remember moments. I never really, really
- 11:01experienced burnout, and I know some of you guys have, but I
- 11:04remember moments where it's just like you forget to take care of
- 11:08you. And what I really want to do, as
- 11:13this deep desire has been to bring this program and this
- 11:17coaching back to this subset of people, is again, I want to put
- 11:23in the hands of every healthcare worker and 1st responder a
- 11:26confidence and capability both on the shift and off the shift.
- 11:31To be that person that not only serves at the highest level
- 11:35professionally, but can serve themselves and serve people
- 11:40outside, including your family, including your friends,
- 11:43including your deep desires. Because anything is possible for
- 11:48us. And I want you guys to know I
- 11:51believe this 100%. We are our own breed of people,
- 11:56meaning we do things that most people will never see or have to
- 12:01see in their lifetime. We are such good multitaskers.
- 12:06We know when we're faced against or we're backs are against a
- 12:11wall when chaos is happening. When we get into the fight or
- 12:15flight mode, we always fight. And because we are capable of so
- 12:21much at work, I just want you guys to know you are capable of
- 12:25creating anything that you want in your life.
- 12:29And so I created this program because I want to speak to the
- 12:32people who not only want to create confidence both on the
- 12:35shift and off the shift because I hear from people say, oh, I'm
- 12:39really, really confident at work.
- 12:41But then I get home and it's like, I have so much self doubt
- 12:43and imposter syndrome and I can't get off the couch or I
- 12:47hear the opposite of at home. I'm really, really confident in
- 12:50my family life as a parent, as a friend.
- 12:52And then I get to work and it's like, I have so much doubt in
- 12:55imposter syndrome. So I just want to offer you, if
- 12:58you are, if you are confident in one area of your life, it's
- 13:02definitely, you definitely are capable of being confident in
- 13:05both. And so This is why I created
- 13:07this program. I want to help you get that
- 13:09confidence. But secondly, I want to help the
- 13:12people who desire something other than just identity of
- 13:16being in the uniform. I remember this poignant moment
- 13:19when I was hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends and some of
- 13:23them work, some of them didn't. And I remember them saying, what
- 13:26are you, you do for fun? What are your hobbies?
- 13:29And I remember deeply being so stopped being like, I don't
- 13:35know, other than work. I mean, I, I really don't know.
- 13:38And I know some of you guys feel that way too, where you do you
- 13:42have the deep desire for the work that you do, but you really
- 13:45don't know who you are outside of the uniform.
- 13:48You haven't explored what hobbies are.
- 13:51And I just want to offer you guys, we are so capable of
- 13:55creating whatever we want in this world because of the things
- 13:59that we do in our job, because of the capability that we have
- 14:03to be calm in the chaos, to have multiple things going on, to
- 14:07serve at the highest level. And so this group is also for
- 14:10those people, those people who want to go beyond the identity
- 14:14of the work that they do and create really big things for
- 14:17themselves, Create 8 identities outside of it.
- 14:20Create businesses, create hobbies, serve people in
- 14:25different ways. I, I think we are the best
- 14:29entrepreneurs. I think healthcare workers.
- 14:31And 1st, Okay, so I had some technical difficulties and I'm
- 14:35back on with the recording. But like I was saying before, I
- 14:40believe healthcare workers and 1st responders make the best
- 14:43entrepreneurs because we are so used to having lots of things
- 14:48going on, lots of chaos and we're capable of of doing
- 14:54multiple things at one time and also being calm and grounded in
- 14:58the process. So This is why I am creating
- 15:02this group. I'm also creating this group
- 15:04because I really believe it's important to be able to express
- 15:08how you're feeling to people who understand, who have seen what
- 15:12you've gone through and be surrounded by people who know
- 15:15exactly what you're going through and can also support you
- 15:21and have a community of people that can help you move through
- 15:23it and maybe show you it in a way that that you haven't been
- 15:28able to find by yourself. And so I really feel like the
- 15:31community aspect portion of this group is really important for me
- 15:35to bring to healthcare workers and 1st responders.
- 15:39And I also created this group for the people who leave their
- 15:45shifts and then play what happens with their patient or on
- 15:48shift over and over and over again.
- 15:51And it takes up so much spinning of their life that they miss out
- 15:56on creating other things or doing other things on their day
- 15:59off and get so super tight into their shifts and went wrong.
- 16:03And then have this spiraling thought I'm not good enough.
- 16:06I don't know enough. And then really take that in
- 16:08both it to their professional life and their personal life.
- 16:13And so I am really excited to teach you how to tap into
- 16:19capability and confidence inside this group.
- 16:22When we feel capable, it replaces the overwhelm and lots
- 16:27of effort. Something that I've really
- 16:29learned with coaching is that lots of effort does not equal
- 16:31success. But slowing down, thinking
- 16:34methodically, allowing negative emotions to be there instead of
- 16:38trying to push them away and to come with us makes us really
- 16:41good at what we do. And so I'm going to teach you
- 16:43the tools, how to tap inside this inside the shift.
- 16:47I love the name. I titled it to the shift because
- 16:50I really want to help people shift in and out of their job
- 16:54confidently, both personally and professionally.
- 16:56And excuse me, make the shift into becoming who they're really
- 17:03meant to be. I know for myself, I've always
- 17:07had this fire burning in me that I'm meant for something more.
- 17:10Meaning I'm meant for more than just the job that I do.
- 17:13I meant to, I think really, I believe this now, deliver this
- 17:18message to healthcare workers and 1st responders and be that
- 17:21person for them, be that coach for them, be that life coach for
- 17:25them. And so if you've had that
- 17:26burning in you, that you're meant for something more, you
- 17:30are in the right place. This is a group.
- 17:32We're going to tap into it and we're going to find it.
- 17:34So what is the shift? The shift is going to be a 12
- 17:39weekly live coaching program, meaning for 12 weeks on every
- 17:43Thursday at the same time with the same Zoom link, we are going
- 17:47to be delivering a different tools that you're going to learn
- 17:49about inside of the script. And I'm going to go over what
- 17:52these different subjects are going to be.
- 17:54We're going to move pretty quickly in this three-week or
- 17:57three month span in 12 weeks and we're going to talk about
- 18:01different topics every week and I'm going to give you the tools
- 18:04for each of these topics to really help you and build that
- 18:06confidence. There's going to be a mix of
- 18:09teaching real time coaching, meaning I'm going to be coaching
- 18:13people individually in the group.
- 18:15Coaching just means, and I want to explain coaching here for a
- 18:18second. This is not therapy.
- 18:20Therapy really focuses on what happened to the in the past and
- 18:23why you are the way you are now. My coaching really focuses on
- 18:26who you are right now and where you want to go.
- 18:29And I do this by really asking you questions to find out what
- 18:32are some of the thoughts that are you having?
- 18:34What are some of the thought errors you're having?
- 18:36What are some of the beliefs you have about yourself?
- 18:38What are some of the feelings you're experiencing so that you
- 18:41can get clarity on how to move forward and build new thoughts
- 18:45and beliefs about yourself to propel you to the future.
- 18:48And so it doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be the one
- 18:52coached to get something out of it.
- 18:55In fact, watching someone else talk about how imposter syndrome
- 18:59feels for them and working through that or how burnout
- 19:02feels for them and working through that will deeply, deeply
- 19:06help you because you'll be able to be like, Oh yeah, that
- 19:09happens to me. I have that same thought too.
- 19:12And what I help them give them coaching in.
- 19:15And as they're getting clarity from the coaching, you're going
- 19:18to be able to see how you can move forward even if you are not
- 19:20the one being coached. So I love the group aspect.
- 19:23I love the community aspect. You're going to see other people
- 19:25are having same thoughts and feelings as you and experience
- 19:28the breakthroughs real time. This program is going to we're
- 19:34going to talk about 12 different topics.
- 19:36I'm going to talk to you about them now so you kind of know
- 19:39ahead of time what to expect. One, the first topic we're going
- 19:42to talk about is down regulation and boredom.
- 19:45This is something that I've really struggled with and
- 19:47something that I think I'm on the other side of now.
- 19:50How do you work in a job where your adrenaline is pumping all
- 19:53the time and then you come home and it's so hard to allow
- 19:58yourself to down regulate and be bored?
- 20:01And sometimes I'm like, OK, I need AI, need to drink a bunch
- 20:04of caffeine or I need to create a little bit of drama with my
- 20:06spouse because I'm so bored. And I've realized that doesn't
- 20:10serve me now. And I've really learned the
- 20:12tools of how do I down regulate? How do I be OK with being a
- 20:18little bit bored and not having that go, go, go adrenaline rush.
- 20:22So we're going to talk about that.
- 20:24The second thing we're going to talk about is imposter syndrome
- 20:27and self trust. I'm going to really teach you
- 20:29instead of how to get rid of imposter syndrome, how to
- 20:31befriend it, how to invite it in.
- 20:33We're going to talk about confidence in the unknown.
- 20:36How can we be confident about something that we've never done
- 20:39before? Because we have this thought era
- 20:41that we have to be able to know by a matter of fact that we can
- 20:46do it before we can feel confident about it.
- 20:47But that's simply not true. So I'm going to teach you how to
- 20:49have confidence before you even do something.
- 20:52We're going to talk about really taking care of yourself, both
- 20:55mentally, physically, and your well-being.
- 20:58We're going to talk about relationships and connection.
- 21:01I know for me for sure, relationships is really hard
- 21:05beyond the job. I don't know about you guys, but
- 21:07I really liked working holidays because sometimes it felt like I
- 21:11had more of a connection with people at work than sometimes I
- 21:14did with my family. And so we're going to talk about
- 21:17relationships and building connection both with yourself
- 21:19and with other people. We're going to also talk about
- 21:23work life balance. This is really big.
- 21:26Sometimes it's as overachievers. I know it because I did it too.
- 21:30You guys work 234 jobs and you really want to be the person
- 21:34who's like constantly working. But we're going to talk about
- 21:37work life balance here and how we can create that for
- 21:39ourselves, even if it feels unnatural.
- 21:40Because for most of us who are overachievers and doers, it
- 21:43feels unnatural. We almost tell ourselves that we
- 21:46are lazy if we're not working 2 jobs or we're not on the go all
- 21:51the time. So we're going to talk about
- 21:52that. We're going to talk about
- 21:54navigating off the clock pressure and big life changes.
- 21:58Sometimes even though we're used to chaos at work, we don't know
- 22:03how to deal with chaos at home and sometimes we avoid that by
- 22:07just going to work. So we're going to talk about
- 22:09that. We're going to talk about a big
- 22:10thing of people pleasing and boundaries.
- 22:13This is huge. How do we get out of people
- 22:16pleasing and how do we create boundaries in our life, both for
- 22:19other people and for ourselves? We're going to talk about belief
- 22:22work versus doing more. Everybody I work with usually
- 22:25likes to have a long checklist of things to do, and we believe
- 22:29the longer our checklist, the more effort we put in, the
- 22:32bigger results we're going to create.
- 22:33We believe that if we do more than we'll get there faster.
- 22:36But I really want to change that story for us.
- 22:39I really am going to teach you inside this program how we can
- 22:43slow down, create 8 beliefs, and make a shorter checklist to
- 22:47really achieve bigger things than if we had a longer
- 22:49checklist. We're going to talk about
- 22:51growing confidence. This is a big thing.
- 22:54I want to teach you how to grow confidence in the face of doubt,
- 22:59how to take doubt, nervousness and posture syndrome with you
- 23:03and still continue to grow your confidence at levels that you've
- 23:06never experienced before. I'm going to teach you how to
- 23:10create big goals and then follow through with them again.
- 23:13I really believe or a special breed of people.
- 23:16I feel like as healthcare workers and 1st responders, we
- 23:20are the best people to create the biggest goals because I know
- 23:24that we can achieve them because we've done things in our life.
- 23:27We're superhuman and most people don't have that subset of tools.
- 23:33And then the last thing that we're going to talk about is
- 23:35living boldly and possibility, creating possibility for
- 23:38ourselves. You know, we have one life to
- 23:41live and I really believe and think it's possible to live
- 23:45multiple lifetimes in this one life.
- 23:47This is my 4th career change and I have felt confident about
- 23:52every career change that I've made and I really do want to
- 23:55teach my kids because I've given myself permission to change
- 23:59careers four times. They have permission to do that
- 24:01too. I don't want them to ever feel
- 24:03stuck and I want them to know whatever they want to do is
- 24:07possible for them. So we're going to really dive
- 24:09into possibility. The other thing that we're going
- 24:12to have in this group besides the 12 weekly calls, and I do
- 24:15want to mention that if you can't make it to every call,
- 24:18that's OK. You're going to have a member
- 24:20portal inside where you can go back and watch all of the
- 24:22replays. And I, I often time get asked
- 24:26how much time do you want to dedicated to this?
- 24:29And I say one hour, whether you can come live to the calls,
- 24:32weekly calls or whether you spend the one hour watching the
- 24:35replays. I promise you, you will see such
- 24:38a transformation in your life. You won't even be able to
- 24:40recognize yourself after the end of these 12 weeks if you really
- 24:43dedicate that one hour. But we're going to have a
- 24:45private community group chat and WhatsApp where you can bring
- 24:47questions, support, anything in between the calls there, you're
- 24:51going to be able to walk with other first responders and
- 24:53healthcare workers and just have the space to connect to other
- 24:56people. My community group chats are my
- 24:59favorite part because you're going to connect with everybody
- 25:01all over the United States, maybe in different countries to
- 25:04the Flight Prep Academy has been everybody in the US.
- 25:06But I'm opening this up to everybody in the world.
- 25:08So you're going to be able to connect with people who are
- 25:12walking in the same space as you, ask questions, celebrate
- 25:15wins, and give ongoing support in and calls to to other people
- 25:18as well as get it for yourself. You're also going to have this
- 25:21member portal that I spoke of before when you first join,
- 25:23there's a welcome call in there. So you can watch the welcome
- 25:26call, see what to expect. And then that's where our
- 25:29replays will be housed every week.
- 25:31I'm going to have questions for you in there and other tools
- 25:33that you can access and videos and calls that you can access in
- 25:36between 2:00. And if I think that there's any
- 25:38trainings or webinars that I've done previously, those will be
- 25:40in there as well. And you'll be able to access
- 25:43that throughout our whole time together until March when we're
- 25:46finished with it. The replays again will be
- 25:49available if you can't make the session live.
- 25:51And that's OK. I know everybody works shift
- 25:53work, so you might not be able to have all those particular
- 25:55Thursdays off. So every call will be recorded,
- 25:58uploaded inside that member portal, and then it will be
- 26:02uploaded the same day. So you can go back and watch
- 26:04that for that one hour call anytime that you want as well.
- 26:08And over and over again, I go back and I watch a lot of
- 26:11replays with my coach because sometimes what I get out of it
- 26:15one week will be totally something different as I go back
- 26:17the next week or the next month or three months later and watch
- 26:20it. You are going to be able to
- 26:23learn these coaching tools and have reflection prompts with
- 26:26each of the sessions. There's going to be a just a
- 26:28short teaching portion where I'm going to offer you some
- 26:30questions for you to think about.
- 26:32And in those questions and in each coaching call, I'm going to
- 26:36give you a subset of tools that you can work on for each of
- 26:38these subjects that I talked about before.
- 26:40The biggest thing with this group is accountability.
- 26:42So not only you're going to get the support, but each week we're
- 26:45going to celebrate the wins and also we know what your guys's
- 26:48goals are. So we're going to hold you
- 26:50accountable inside this group. This program is going to start
- 26:54Thursday, December 4th and run all the way till March 5th.
- 26:57It's another Thursday, 12 sessions in between.
- 27:00I'm taking a couple weeks off in the month of December, so you
- 27:02have a couple weeks off there, but otherwise, we're going to
- 27:05meet for 12 weeks every Thursday at the same time, noon Pacific
- 27:09Standard Time. I wanted this to be a heck yes
- 27:13to anybody who wants to do it. So I made this at a low, low
- 27:16price price, introductory group price.
- 27:18I don't know if I'm going to keep offering at this, but I
- 27:20just want people to be like, yes, this is what I want and not
- 27:23think twice about the price. So because of that, I'm making
- 27:26this maybe just for this time only introductory group price at
- 27:29497, I have a painful option or I have two monthly payment plans
- 27:34of 260. I wanted to make this super
- 27:36affordable so that everybody could get in and have this
- 27:39experience and learn all of these tools.
- 27:41Enrollment is going to be opening Monday, November 10th
- 27:45through Monday, November 24. So just for two weeks.
- 27:49So if you're listening to this when it comes out, it's it's
- 27:52coming out the Thursday before November 10th.
- 27:55So I want to offer for you guys join my e-mail list.
- 27:58The people for my e-mail list are getting early access to this
- 28:02program. So come join my e-mail list.
- 28:04If you're listening to this after and in between November
- 28:0710th through November 24th, join us inside.
- 28:10I will post the link for you to be able to look at the website
- 28:15and join us there. And you can also click on the
- 28:18link to join the e-mail list and get early access into this
- 28:22group. Who is this group for?
- 28:25This group is for any healthcare worker first responder that
- 28:28wants to grow their level of confidence bone both on and off
- 28:31the shift and create really big things for themselves.
- 28:35It's for the person who's ready to find out what they're capable
- 28:37of and achieve what they've really envisioned for their
- 28:40life. It's for the person who feels
- 28:42the burning inside them, just like me, that they're meant for
- 28:45something more and that they want to create more.
- 28:47This group is for you if you're an overachiever and you feel
- 28:50like you're meant for something besides just the job that you're
- 28:53currently working and, and the shift work that you're doing.
- 28:56You deeply want to serve people. And I know that you guys are
- 29:00just like me and you want to be doing something that's other
- 29:04than your job, but you lack the confidence and clarity of like
- 29:07where it really how to get started.
- 29:10This group is for the person. If you come home from a shift
- 29:13and you keep replaying the patient or the code or what
- 29:16happened over and over and over again and it leaves you not
- 29:19being able to do anything else on your days off, this group is
- 29:22for you. If you're so tired on your days
- 29:24off that you and you make a whole To Do List and you can't
- 29:27get to one of those because you just don't know where to get
- 29:30started and you're overwhelmed, this group is for you.
- 29:33If often times after your shift and the adrenaline rush has gone
- 29:37down that you're bored at home and so you just pick up overtime
- 29:41because sometimes it feels more comfortable to be with your
- 29:43coworkers than your family at home or people outside of the
- 29:46work you do. This group is for you if you
- 29:49have isolated yourself, just like I said about me at the
- 29:52beginning of the story, because you thought that people who
- 29:54don't do this work don't understand what we see and do.
- 29:57This group is for you. If you feel like you are capable
- 30:00of doing new things and you want to go grow personally and
- 30:04professionally but lack the confidence to know where to
- 30:06start and how to start, This is what we are going to tackle
- 30:09inside this group. If any of those people resonate
- 30:13for you, come join us. And if you just don't even know
- 30:16where to start or if you just are feeling a pull to this
- 30:19group, this is where you will watch yourself transform into a
- 30:23different person. Again, enrollment is going to
- 30:26open November 10th through November 4th for the shift
- 30:28coaching group introductory price 497 or two monthly
- 30:32payments of 260. And I really encourage you guys
- 30:35to join my e-mail list because you guys are going to be the
- 30:37first to know when the enrollment opens.
- 30:39You're going to get early access bonuses and all the details
- 30:41delivered right to your inbox every day.
- 30:44I wanted to go over some common questions that I've already had
- 30:46people ask me so that I can give you some answers for those.
- 30:51And then at any time if you guys have any questions, just DM me
- 30:55or e-mail me. I answer each and every single
- 30:57question and response back on Instagram or TikTok myself.
- 31:01So first question is what if I can't make it live to the
- 31:04sessions? I kind of went over that All
- 31:06sessions are recorded so you'll have access to every replay
- 31:08inside your private member portal and you'll also know in
- 31:10the community group chat when those have been uploaded.
- 31:12It's usually going to be a couple hours after the call.
- 31:15Do I have to be a flight nurse to join?
- 31:16No, I do have the flight prep Academy.
- 31:19So as long as you're a first healthcare worker or first
- 31:22responder, no matter where what specialty you're in, this group
- 31:25is for you. If you are currently in the
- 31:27flight prep Academy or currently a flight nurse, you welcome to
- 31:31join this group. You guys are getting a special
- 31:34bonus and a special rate to join if you're already currently
- 31:37working with me. And I do want to let you guys
- 31:40know that if you are wanting flight or if you are already in
- 31:44flight, this, this group will propel you quicker because how
- 31:48you do one thing is how you do everything.
- 31:49So if flight is your goal, working on this personal stuff
- 31:52is going to propel your time of getting to flight quicker.
- 31:55You're going to get there in a shorter amount of time because
- 31:57you're not only working on the professional piece, but you're
- 31:59working on the personal side too as well.
- 32:02So I want to make a special plug for the people who are currently
- 32:06in the flight Prep Academy. If you're listening to this,
- 32:08join us inside this group because you're going to watch
- 32:10your goal just accelerate in flight once you start this group
- 32:14and once you start working on some of these things, because we
- 32:16do talk about these things inside the flight prep Academy.
- 32:20But being able to work on this goal separately will, you're
- 32:23going to see a transformation now quickly.
- 32:25It's going to move along for you for flight.
- 32:27Another common thing I get is like, what is coaching and is
- 32:30this like therapy? And I explained this a little
- 32:32earlier, but therapy really focuses on the past and coaching
- 32:35really focuses on who you are now and where you want to be.
- 32:38So because of this, I actually work with a lot of people who
- 32:41are in therapy and they really focus with their therapist on
- 32:44what happened in the past and why.
- 32:46And I'm then I'm really taking that focus and talking about,
- 32:49OK, where are we going? How do we achieve this?
- 32:51What beliefs do we need to have about ourselves and how do we
- 32:54dial up our confidence and capability in that?
- 32:58Another question I get is what if I'm unsure of what I really
- 33:02want and how I want to answer that is that's exactly why you
- 33:06want to join. We want you to be confident and
- 33:09clear about how you can go out there and create what you really
- 33:12want. And we're going to give you the
- 33:14clarity if you're are confused about what that is and if maybe
- 33:17you just have that burning like me and you're like, I know I
- 33:19meant for something more. I just don't know what it is.
- 33:21This is the reason why you want to join this group, even if you
- 33:24don't feel ready. And then I want to offer you
- 33:27guys if you were truly on the fence, if you're unsure about
- 33:31should I do this group? Should I not do this group?
- 33:33You can DM me or e-mail me back like I said, and we can chat
- 33:35through it that way. Or I am offering a 20 minute on
- 33:39the fence call to help you get an answer.
- 33:41Either way, maybe it's going to be a no, but maybe it will be a
- 33:44yes. And so I'm going to just help
- 33:46you kind of work through what are some of the objections that
- 33:48are coming up your mind? What are some of the obstacles
- 33:50that you think you're facing? Why?
- 33:52Why do you think that you're on the fence?
- 33:54And so you can go to my website, right, Janessa Dean coaching
- 33:58back slash the shift and you'll be able to see where you can
- 34:01book a 20 minute on the fence call with me.
- 34:03And I'm only going to be doing that for the two weeks that it's
- 34:05open, November 10th through November 24th.
- 34:07So make sure you book that spot if you're on the fence.
- 34:09We're going to help you get to an answer either way, even if
- 34:12it's a no, but I want you to feel good about if it's a no or
- 34:15it's a yes. This program is for the go
- 34:19getter. It's for the overachiever.
- 34:21It's for the person who's tired of surviving and really ready to
- 34:24live and play big in their life. This is for the person who's
- 34:27ready to stretch their capability and find out really
- 34:30what they're made of and create that life that they've always
- 34:33dreamed about. I have gotten that from coaching
- 34:36and I want to give that to you. I want to give all the tools to
- 34:39you. I want to also give you the tool
- 34:42of confidence that when you walk into every shift or you are
- 34:45sorry I got cut off again, or if you are a flight nurse or a
- 34:49flight medic, I want you to be able to create the confidence so
- 34:52that you show up to every call and confidently know that thank
- 34:56goodness you and your team are the ones there because you're
- 34:59going to get it done. And so that's what we're really
- 35:02going to create in this group. I want to offer for you guys,
- 35:05Come join my e-mail list. Be the first to know when
- 35:07enrollment opens November 10th through 24th.
- 35:10And let's make this the moment that you finally learn and to
- 35:13tap into the confidence whenever that you want and create the
- 35:17life that you have always wanted.
- 35:19I can't wait to get this group started and I can't wait to have
- 35:23the first iteration of the shift coaching group.
- 35:26And I hope you guys all join us inside.
- 35:28That's it for this week and enrollment is opening next week.
- 35:32I'm so excited to have all you guys and welcome you in.
- 35:35And if anything in this episode resonates with you, reach out to
- 35:40me, let me know what you think. Let me know if you've joined.
- 35:44Keep me informed. And I can't wait to coach you
- 35:46guys all inside the shift coaching group.
- 35:49We'll see you guys there. Anything in this episode sparked
- 35:52your interest into getting into flight?
- 35:53Come join my flight pet group. We are an entire community that
- 35:57meets together on a weekly basis with an ongoing group chat.
- 36:00And if you are already flying and you are currently a flight
- 36:02nurse or flight medic, you can join my all flight clinician
- 36:05group as well. You can click on the link to
- 36:07join in the show notes or you can DM me on Instagram.
- 36:09I hope to see all of you guys inside.
