- 0:01Guys, it has been far too long, way too long since we have just
- 0:05had a sit back, relax and hang out with friends kind of live
- 0:10stream. I don't even have a case that I
- 0:12want to talk about today. I just have a person I want to
- 0:15talk with today. That person is Elizabeth Jones
- 0:19from Hillbilly Crime. We are going to we're, we're
- 0:24crumpling up the script. We're crumpling up the agenda
- 0:28that I have. We're not going to be doing 3
- 0:29questions. We're not going to be doing
- 0:31headlines. We're not going to be question
- 0:33hobby take two. We're not going to be doing
- 0:36question of the day. We're just going to hang out
- 0:40with Elizabeth and talk about true crime.
- 0:42If you're into that. Then we're going to have fun.
- 0:46Stick with me. This video contains mature
- 1:00themes and discussions intended only for adult audiences.
- 1:04Viewer discretion is advised. Hello there, my friend.
- 1:09Welcome back to another true crime conversation with me,
- 1:11Gavin Fish. This is going to be just a
- 1:16conversation and we're going to be taking a look at your
- 1:18comments and your questions. Nothing is off limits today.
- 1:22This is like an extended three questions.
- 1:24We can just talk about anything. When I did this with Cheryl and
- 1:27Dale, we just called it Bestie Babble today.
- 1:30We're calling it Friday Fun Day and we're going to welcome back
- 1:34to the channel. Wait a minute, wait a minute.
- 1:37She's going to take a seat. Hold on.
- 1:39She's going to take a seat. Get everything ready to go.
- 1:42And there she is. Elizabeth Jones, how are you?
- 1:51Hi Gavin. It has been.
- 1:54I am so happy to be here tonight.
- 1:56Thank you. It has been a long time, too
- 1:58long. Yeah, man.
- 2:01I think I I should look back. I don't know that you have seen
- 2:07Gavin. That's not super fat.
- 2:09Gavin, I don't think you've been on since I decided to take my
- 2:13weight seriously. Well, I have talked to you a
- 2:17couple times behind the scenes, but I don't think I've been on
- 2:21the show, no. Yeah, well, it's been.
- 2:23Too great. Thank you.
- 2:26Thank you. That wasn't me fishing for a
- 2:27compliment, but I will take it. I, I was, I was at our local
- 2:32courthouse today. There was a portrait unveiling
- 2:37in our county when the president judge retires, that judge has a
- 2:42portrait done and then comes back for the portrait unveiling.
- 2:46It's kind of cool because we've had president judges since 18 O
- 2:515 in our county, right. So, you know, I think the county
- 2:57was established in 1799, something like that, But but we
- 3:04were part of a different judicial district until eighteen
- 3:07O 5 S Anywho, I went to that and nobody recognized me until I
- 3:14pulled out my camera and started taking pictures like oh, Gavin,
- 3:17haven't seen you in a while. Pretty funny.
- 3:23What have you been up to? Working, working, working,
- 3:29working. That's all I do.
- 3:30I sit right here at my little research desk.
- 3:33Yeah. And that's all I do all the
- 3:36time. You still live streaming pretty
- 3:38much every day. Yeah, yeah.
- 3:41You know, that's one of the things that every time I talk to
- 3:46you behind the scenes, actually, if you think about it, I'm
- 3:50always telling you about how I'm on to something else and on to
- 3:54something else and just got my hands in so many different
- 3:57things. Trying to adapt and keep up with
- 4:02this true crime content creation or content creator business.
- 4:12You know, the media business that we're into.
- 4:15It's just really. YouTube changed things up like a
- 4:19few months ago where this is a little inside baseball.
- 4:23I don't know if anybody who's watching the cares, but I care.
- 4:26So I'll talk about it with you. But man, my, my viewership
- 4:31crashed. Like crashed 30% is where I'm at
- 4:36now. What?
- 4:37Everybody's did. It's and I don't, I don't know
- 4:42it's not keep. It's not.
- 4:44So did my revenue. Don't take it personal, mine did
- 4:47too. That's why I've been working.
- 4:49You know, I went from being so happy, you know, I was finally
- 4:55doing it, and I know you were too.
- 4:57That was right at the time that you quit your job.
- 5:01So this was affecting, you know, people didn't see what was going
- 5:05on behind the scenes. I think a lot of people kind of
- 5:10thought that that stuff was happening due to other reasons.
- 5:16And it wasn't just the I think the landscape of social media
- 5:23has changed before our very eyes.
- 5:27And, you know, we're right in the middle of it.
- 5:30And when you're only on one platform, it's not gonna work.
- 5:35And so I kinda had to see the bigger picture and that vision
- 5:40of multi platform to where each one, cause each one has a
- 5:44different audience, each one has a completely different workflow
- 5:49that you have to do. I mean, I am working every job
- 5:54of a newsroom all by myself. So what platforms are you doing
- 5:59right now? Well, I've got 3 monetized pages
- 6:05on Facebook that I'm trying my best to get them working, but so
- 6:14those, and we got the Spotify which I, I'm not making anything
- 6:20off of it yet, but I'm building that foundation.
- 6:23The Patreon, YouTube and Apple Podcasts.
- 6:29I I'm not making anything off that either yet, but I'm getting
- 6:32the foundation built and I think that there's several more that
- 6:38we as forgive me and please don't be offended, but but we as
- 6:43old people, we don't understand and we weren't part of the
- 6:51Snapchat generation. That was true.
- 6:55We weren't part of the TikTok generation.
- 7:00Actually, we, we were older than that.
- 7:03And so, you know, that's been kind of some people were, were
- 7:08doing really well on TikTok. I had made it.
- 7:12I mean, I had just gotten to the point to where I was getting
- 7:15ready to get monetized and some hater, you know, we, we won't
- 7:21say no names, but got upset with me and called and called and
- 7:25called and mass reported my thing and it was banned.
- 7:29All that work that I'd put into my TikTok right before it became
- 7:33a a money stream for me, it got banned.
- 7:37But I was glad that that happened because it showed me
- 7:40and it happened before it was monetized.
- 7:43So that showed me how volatile it was.
- 7:48And you cannot put all your eggs in that one basket.
- 7:52You know, if we're going to do this and we're actually going to
- 7:55make a living doing it, you know, we're not just a what's
- 8:00that? Yeah, an amateur hobbyist or
- 8:03whatever. Yeah.
- 8:04Or one hit wonder. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:06You know, when I set out to do this, this, I didn't do this by
- 8:10accident. You know, I researched it and
- 8:12planned it for two years before I started.
- 8:14My goal was to make this long term and make it successful.
- 8:19And, you know, I don't know you. That's what you want to do too
- 8:22with yours. Yeah, I, yeah, I mean, I didn't,
- 8:26I didn't full on quit my day job, but I cut it way, way back.
- 8:30I'm just writing features now. So as opposed to like the daily
- 8:34grind of reporting what's going on.
- 8:37It used to be that in my publication, you would see six
- 8:39or seven articles with my byline on it.
- 8:41And these days it's like 2-3 a week, you know, it's but so I'm
- 8:47grateful that and, and I talked with my employers like this is,
- 8:50this is really what it is that I want to do that they've been
- 8:53extremely supportive and, and plus I love that job.
- 8:58It's such a such a cool job that yeah, when, when whatever
- 9:02happened to the YouTube algorithm happened, it it hurt,
- 9:08it hurt pretty darn bad. You know the other thing though,
- 9:11I made some critical errors. Like I made some actual errors
- 9:14that kind of, well, they they coincidentally happened at the
- 9:21same time. Me too, man, Me too.
- 9:25I lost all my metadata and I, I had the whole time I was going
- 9:31in before my shows and manually putting it in and I came across
- 9:36that monetize button and I was like, Oh, well, I can just turn
- 9:40that on and I don't have to go in before every show anymore.
- 9:44Well, whenever I did that and I didn't go in, it was
- 9:48automatically, it took me out of the category I had done built,
- 9:53put me into entertainment. I didn't have any tags, I didn't
- 9:57have any playlist set or anything.
- 10:00So I lost everything. And it just so happened to
- 10:04coincidentally come in time with that same exact thing and like
- 10:12going crazy, all of it happened at one time.
- 10:16Yeah, that's what I did was like, hey, I want to improve my
- 10:20thumbnail. So so I did.
- 10:23I like I full on improved it, but then nobody knew.
- 10:27Like they didn't recognize when I was they didn't recognize me.
- 10:31Yep. And it it would as soon as I
- 10:34switched it back, it was like, oh man, I can breathe again.
- 10:37I can buy groceries again. This is, this is good.
- 10:39You know, it's it, it's it, it's a, it's a fickle business.
- 10:45I never got mine back but oh really I have to rebuild it all.
- 10:50I went back and set all of the shows that, you know, had lost
- 10:56their metadata, but I did that on the back end.
- 11:00So, you know, it didn't really help.
- 11:02And so now all of that success that we had had in that first
- 11:08year, year and a half is gone. Like it's all gone.
- 11:13So now resetting all of that metadata and stuff, it's like
- 11:18I'm a completely different or a completely new channel all over
- 11:22again. Only we don't have that news
- 11:26cycle, you know, of the sheriff and the judge case.
- 11:32So what cases are you working on these days?
- 11:36Well, you know, we are always following the Steins and Mullins
- 11:41case and any of the updates with that, but the Doug Harless case
- 11:46out of London, KY. So that has been a huge case.
- 11:51And I'm kind of making that my signature case now as an
- 11:56investigator and as an independent investigator, you
- 12:00know, just me, myself going through it.
- 12:03The KSP released the entire case file.
- 12:06Tell me what the case is what? What is the case?
- 12:09It's the weed eater. The stolen weed eater.
- 12:12Where? I know nothing about this.
- 12:14Like, give me the pitch. All right, so man, cops go in
- 12:22two nights before Christmas to a home and they kick the door in
- 12:28with a search warrant. They holler in search warrant,
- 12:31kick the door in, and they shoot the homeowner and kill him.
- 12:36And it happens to be the wrong address.
- 12:39It wasn't even the address that they had got the search warrant
- 12:43for. No, they went.
- 12:46To the wrong house. Went to the wrong house and
- 12:49there's no way, like there's like 10 of them.
- 12:52They were a gang of city police officers who left the city
- 12:57jurisdiction and went out into the county where it's Sheriff's
- 13:02Department job to even be doing that in the 1st place.
- 13:06They didn't have any depart Sheriff's Department deputies
- 13:09with them. The Sheriff's Department was not
- 13:12even aware that they had done this and it was all over a
- 13:16stolen weed weed eater report that they had gotten earlier
- 13:21that day. But the property where the weed
- 13:26eater was allegedly stolen from belong to the judge executive of
- 13:32that county. And so it has been just a huge
- 13:37thing when. The weed eater, the stolen item
- 13:40belong to the judge executive. Well the property where it was
- 13:44stolen from was the judge executive.
- 13:48The the lawn equipment that they're saying was gone actually
- 13:53belonged to his nephew who he had allowed store some items on
- 14:00his property, like in an outbuilding or something.
- 14:04It's a mess. Like, no way.
- 14:07The police, their little gang of guys were like, you don't mess
- 14:10with us and we're going to go out into the county and we're
- 14:12going to and then they go to the wrong house.
- 14:17What was the homeowner like? Holy crap, I'm getting invaded.
- 14:20And then like drew a gun or something like that, like
- 14:23self-defense. It was midnight.
- 14:25He was in bed asleep. He was 60 some years old.
- 14:29According to his daughter, he had just purchased a pistol not
- 14:33long before this happened. He was in bed asleep and the
- 14:37police roll up and they walk up to his trailer.
- 14:42He's the double wide trailer. Now, they didn't know this, I
- 14:45don't think, but the way that his trailer was set up, his
- 14:47bedroom was on the other side. So as they come up to the
- 14:51driveway to his house, they beat on the side of the house and
- 14:55you've got a security camera on the neighbor's house, so you see
- 14:59every bit of it. They're beat on the door, the
- 15:02wall a couple times, police search warrant, open the door,
- 15:08something like that. You can barely hear it.
- 15:10He says it may be two or three times and you can hear the
- 15:16homeowner like what you know, you can hear something you can't
- 15:21understand exactly what he says, but you can hear that he
- 15:25responds to them. But like I said, it's midnight.
- 15:28He ain't even got his teeth in. His teeth are in a cup and he's
- 15:31bed in his bathroom, you know, and he's got, he's pissed.
- 15:35He had gotten his pistol out of the drawer of his bed, but you
- 15:39know his night stand. And as he walked through the
- 15:42house, they kicked the door in the door.
- 15:46I don't know. They say the door hits him, but
- 15:50one of the other witnesses say that they said that he was
- 15:54coming as they kicked the door in.
- 15:56He was coming through the house looking like he was trying to
- 16:01chamber a round. Well, if you were coming through
- 16:05your house and you see your door get kicked in, you know, and
- 16:09you've got a gun in your hand, wouldn't you be, you know, like
- 16:12trying to And they shot him 5 * 3 times in the head and the neck
- 16:17then. And he had nothing to do with
- 16:20it. They went to the wrong house.
- 16:22Nothing went to the wrong house and the prosecutor presents this
- 16:27to a grand jury and they come back with a no bill.
- 16:33No bill against whom? Against the police.
- 16:37No, the prosecutor wanted to. Well, did.
- 16:41Well, did the prosecutor want they sent a?
- 16:46Spiritual prosecutor, I want, I would love to be able to know
- 16:51what that grand jury presentation looked like.
- 16:55What did that grand jury hear? Yeah, unfortunately, you won't
- 16:58ever get that. It's very unlikely.
- 17:03The KSP put out everything they had for transparency, so they
- 17:09released the whole file is 22.23 gigabytes.
- 17:15I downloaded it all baby and I've been going through it.
- 17:19You know how I told you I was doing with the the power the
- 17:23electric company documents and how I we're not going to say
- 17:27what I'm doing, but you know how I told you what my secret sauce
- 17:31is? So I've been doing that with
- 17:35these and it's just, it's consuming me honestly, because
- 17:42there's so much and there's so much incompetence and there's
- 17:46just so much like smoking. There's so many smoking guns
- 17:52here. So, you know, I'm going to do my
- 17:54very best to reveal what we can through that case file as a real
- 18:00investigator. The The grand jury comes back
- 18:03with without a bill, no indictment.
- 18:07Yep, two of them I think even got promotions.
- 18:14Yeah, that's one of those things where it should be disqualifying
- 18:18for the rest of your career whoever made that choice, right?
- 18:23I mean, let me ask you this was that homeowner a known, you
- 18:28know, known to the justice system in that county?
- 18:33Never had a criminal record. He was a maintenance man for the
- 18:37low for a local apartment complex.
- 18:40He had just been divorced a few years before that.
- 18:46And but through the comments, you know, cause I've been
- 18:49following this case for a while, ever since it happened.
- 18:53And so through several of the comments, people are saying that
- 18:56he was dating a policeman's ex-wife, girlfriend, ex
- 19:03relation, lover or whatever. I haven't confirmed that or
- 19:07tracked that down yet, but it seems like, you know, the way
- 19:13this went down and the level of just, I mean, it had the address
- 19:20right next to the front door. You know, as they walk up the
- 19:24driveway, the motion light comes on and it says 511, you know,
- 19:30right on the side of the house. There's.
- 19:32What was the number there? 489.
- 19:36Oh, couple houses down. Several houses down, probably.
- 19:40It was a trailer. It was kind of like a a small
- 19:44little community, a rental community, you know, some his
- 19:47daughter kept calling it a trailer park, but it wasn't
- 19:50necessarily set up like a there was some single wide trailers.
- 19:55There were some houses, there were some double wides, you
- 19:58know, but all their mailboxes then were on the side of the
- 20:04road, you know, like in a little lung and but.
- 20:11You know, he had two vehicles in the driveway after the shooting,
- 20:14after they killed him, they run the tech.
- 20:17They decide to run the tags in the driveway that come back to
- 20:21Doug Harless, who had nothing to do with any of this.
- 20:24His name was not even in any of this.
- 20:27Like this was screw a royal screw up.
- 20:31And when you've got ten officers and then it in every single one
- 20:36of their interviews at the end, they ask them, could you have
- 20:39done anything differently? And they everyone say no,
- 20:44that's. I have an idea.
- 20:46You could have gone to the right house.
- 20:48You could have done that differently.
- 20:51How about going earlier in the day?
- 20:54Yeah, and like they do those nighttime raids on purpose, but
- 20:59when they do those, they should be.
- 21:01I mean, I, I think that there's a good reason to do nighttime
- 21:05raids. It's safer for the police
- 21:07typically, right? Let me ask you.
- 21:09But, but at the same time, you got to have, well, and you got
- 21:15to have checks on it, right? There's got to be some kind of
- 21:18procedure. I mean, there was a, there was a
- 21:21famous case, I can't remember the name of the family.
- 21:23I think it was in Virginia where fortunately nobody died.
- 21:29Fortunately, nobody died. It was one of those things where
- 21:31the police went to the wrong house middle of the night,
- 21:35busted down the door, you know, put this family into custody and
- 21:41it was the wrong house, right? And they did all this damage to
- 21:46the house. But ultimately, they're like,
- 21:50well, you know, immunity. So I'm so sorry that you have to
- 21:55pay thousands of dollars to repair your home and your
- 21:59children are, you know, wet the wet the bed and and have to
- 22:03sleep in your room for the next three years.
- 22:05So sorry about that. Adios right.
- 22:08And that and there was AI mean that went all the way to the
- 22:12Supreme Court and the Supreme Court came down on the side of
- 22:14the family like no, immunity does not apply here.
- 22:17You guys hosed up right. And gosh, I, I wonder if that's,
- 22:24there's probably nothing that can take that case to the
- 22:27federal court. I think this is happening a lot.
- 22:32In I think. So in our country, because you
- 22:36don't have the leadership, you know, that's going to step up
- 22:40and say, you know, who's going to discipline all of those
- 22:45people? You know, somebody has to.
- 22:48You would think, you know, you would think if I was going to
- 22:52run for an elected office, I would not run for anything less
- 22:56than governor. And you know what I would do if
- 22:58I ran for governor, my entire campaign would be I would run on
- 23:04cleaning house. I would clean it from the top to
- 23:09the bottom. There's a case that we talked
- 23:13about on the channel yesterday that has a it.
- 23:16I mean, it's a different case altogether, but it's got a
- 23:19similar vein running through it. And it's the case of Doctor
- 23:23Ebony Parker. Doctor Parker was on trial for
- 23:28child for CA, for 8 counts of CA in the shooting of Abby's
- 23:36Werner. She was a first grade teacher
- 23:38that got shot by her six year old student and Doctor Parker
- 23:44did nothing right. But the judge kicked it
- 23:47yesterday. And I actually think on the law
- 23:49she she kicked it correctly. But in, in looking at everything
- 23:55that Doctor Parker did and everything that the school
- 23:57district did, everything that all the administrators did,
- 24:01every decision that they made the entire time was just a cover
- 24:06your butt decision, everything. And, and I think that that's
- 24:11like in, in these kinds of things where, hey, look, I'm
- 24:17willing to extend a little grace.
- 24:19Accidents happen, accidents happen, right?
- 24:24And accidents can happen where people die and, and it sucks,
- 24:30but there still has to be accountability for those things.
- 24:34You can't just circle the wagons and, and I'm not even saying
- 24:37like burn anybody at the stake. I'm saying like the, the people
- 24:42that were affected should be remunerated for millions of
- 24:48dollars because, because they should they, they are deserving
- 24:52of that. But what always happens here is
- 24:55everybody circles the wagons. Everybody covers their own hind
- 24:59end. And justice is never, ever, not
- 25:03even anything close to justice has ever done.
- 25:05That's exactly right that. Kills me and you know the, the
- 25:09part that also kills me because I was just at the courthouse and
- 25:12you know, we, we live in a county where in coming up into
- 25:17COVID, both of our county judges, the president judge and,
- 25:22and another judge that had been on the bench forever.
- 25:25They both retired at the same time, one for medical reasons
- 25:28and one because it was time for him to retire.
- 25:31So we were without a judge and a former DA who had who is beloved
- 25:39and had been retired for like 7 years was asked, will you come
- 25:43out of retirement for two years and and be the judge?
- 25:48And she did and she was appointed by the governor and
- 25:51then she was made the president judge and it just kept going and
- 25:55going and going till she finally was like guys, I gotta retire
- 26:00and and finally did. So anyway, I'm at the courthouse
- 26:04and I'm watching this unveiling and I'm sitting in the room
- 26:06where I'm like, I know so many of these lawyers.
- 26:09I know so many of the prosecutors.
- 26:11She was ADA again for like 24 years in our county.
- 26:15She's like all of these people are conscientious, community
- 26:23minded, loving people. Of course they're people.
- 26:25So they will also be complicated and some, some of them will act
- 26:29like jerks sometimes, but for the most part, everybody is, you
- 26:36know, working on behalf of the of their office that they're all
- 26:40pretty darn good people. So those people got to be pissed
- 26:46off when something like this happens, right?
- 26:50What is a Police Department going out into the middle of the
- 26:52county in the middle of the night doing anyway?
- 26:58Well, the sheriff has come out and he, I think there were
- 27:04several other elected officials who signed on to it too, but
- 27:10they had requested the FBI come in and go over this case.
- 27:17And so I think the FBI, I think the feds are actually
- 27:21investigating it. I think that, you know, I, what
- 27:26have I been saying ever since you've known me, organized crime
- 27:31is everywhere in Appalachia, especially around here.
- 27:37You know, this case didn't happen in Letcher County, but it
- 27:40didn't happen very far from here, just a couple hours from
- 27:43here. And it's very similar in how the
- 27:50the local governments are run. The elections are popularity
- 27:56contests. These people that are elected
- 28:00are sheriff's are elected. So that means no, they don't
- 28:06have to have one bit of education in the criminal
- 28:09justice system. All they have to do is just, I
- 28:14don't know, I think they go to a a weekend training or something
- 28:19after they get elected. Some of them might have some law
- 28:23enforcement experience from before.
- 28:26But you know, again, we're looking at untrained people that
- 28:31were trained on the job by somebody else that was an
- 28:35untrained person. Yeah, well, I mean, we look at
- 28:38Mickey Stein's. Yeah, science is a perfect
- 28:42example of that, right? Never went to any Academy at any
- 28:46time. And you know what, correct me if
- 28:49I'm wrong, but Mickey was like, kind of, he was a beloved member
- 28:52of the community. He was.
- 28:54He was well thought of, right. Oh.
- 28:57Yeah, You couldn't have gotten nobody to have said anything bad
- 29:01about him except for a few people who who did have things
- 29:07against him. You know, it wasn't like they
- 29:10just didn't like him 'cause he was a bad guy.
- 29:13They didn't like him because he had done something to them.
- 29:16So they had a reason, you know, that they didn't like him.
- 29:21But yeah, most people just thought he was.
- 29:24But you know what I think it was?
- 29:26It was because he was because, you know, he, he was uneducated
- 29:33and so he didn't speak to people like he was above them, you
- 29:39know, like a lot. I can't tell you every lawyer
- 29:41I've ever known except for my friend Jenny.
- 29:46She was the only one that never talked to down to me when we had
- 29:51a conversation. Every lawyer that I've ever had
- 29:55any contact with except well, I can't say that these ones that
- 29:58I've had recent contact with, they're pretty cool too.
- 30:03But most of them I've had really bad experiences.
- 30:07They just talk down to you like you're too stupid to see what's
- 30:12going on. But then again, it's also a
- 30:14little bit of that used car salesman stuff in there since
- 30:19I've realized exactly. You know, I've also, because
- 30:23I've had a friend who was an attorney recently, I also
- 30:30watched what she just went through.
- 30:32You know, she has went through a very, very difficult personal
- 30:36time, professional time. She, I don't know if you know,
- 30:42courts took her off my case. They banned her from practicing
- 30:45law in the east in the Eastern District of Kentucky federal
- 30:50court. So she can't even practice law.
- 30:53And they took her off my case because she, you know, she had
- 30:58cancer and she was, she went through chemo 4 times and she
- 31:05had had a double mastectomy. She really went through a really
- 31:09hard personal time. Yeah.
- 31:11She was dying. You know, she was fighting for
- 31:14her life. Don't be a woman with breast
- 31:18cancer in Letcher County, Kentucky.
- 31:21I can tell you because they sure nobody ever did anything to help
- 31:26her. I mean, not if they prayed for,
- 31:29you know, I, I want to have a hard time even believing that.
- 31:34I mean, nobody did no walk for, you know, nobody put a post out,
- 31:39you know, I mean, you know, you'd expect if you went through
- 31:44something like that, you'd expect your coworkers.
- 31:48Yeah, your colleagues. Your colleagues exactly to at
- 31:52least acknowledge what you were going through.
- 31:55And I don't think anybody ever did that.
- 31:58But so she survives, she fights back, you know, and and she
- 32:03still wasn't even completely there whenever I met her was
- 32:07right after I started my show. And after she had done it, she
- 32:15lost all her hair, she lost her teeth.
- 32:18It all kind of came back when she got got done with the chemo.
- 32:21And then she read she somebody ran her off the road and she
- 32:26broke her hip, broke three ribs, broke her hand.
- 32:30And she was trying to recover at her mother's house and they were
- 32:33out in the middle of nowhere. So they didn't have any kind of
- 32:37phone service or anything except for the house phone.
- 32:40But she's still in an attorney. She's still a licensed attorney.
- 32:45And she missed People's Court dates.
- 32:48She nobody could get a hold of her.
- 32:50The court couldn't even get a hold of her.
- 32:53And, you know, a lot of people's cases were harmed because of
- 33:02things that, you know, were going on that she was going on
- 33:05or, you know, deal with whatever by missing those court cases,
- 33:09they're missing those court dates.
- 33:11Sorry. And so I got a real, you know,
- 33:17personal, up close look at, you know, the damage.
- 33:22And I've never been very a big fan of attorney discretion and
- 33:32just the freedom and stuff, all the the way that attorneys can
- 33:38absolutely destroy people's lives.
- 33:42Hey, I was like that on I was this is on a different case.
- 33:47It's something that I'm covering.
- 33:49It's out in the state of Utah and it's a civil matter that I'm
- 33:54that I'm covering and I, I reached out to both both sides
- 34:02of the civil case for comment. Like a, like a reporter.
- 34:06I'm going, I'm writing about this case, right.
- 34:10So I contacted the one side because back in December there
- 34:15was a, there was a hearing and at the hearing, the plaintiffs
- 34:25counsel agreed that he would write up the, the order that the
- 34:28judge gave verbally. So like in January, early
- 34:34January, I got the audio recording, I listened to it.
- 34:38I so like by January 9th, I know that there should be an order
- 34:44coming on this case, right? So in February, I think it was
- 34:49the 20th, I call the plaintiffs council and said I haven't seen
- 34:53anything, any order. And he goes, you know, in the
- 34:57state of Utah, we're supposed to go back and forth with the
- 34:59defendant with the defense and and write it up so that we both
- 35:03agree with the order. And that usually takes four to
- 35:07six weeks. I was like, why the the verbal
- 35:11order is the order. You don't have to agree any
- 35:14neither side needs. You just need the judge just
- 35:17told you to write it up. No, that's not the way it works
- 35:20out here. Gavin, We're going to we got to
- 35:22we got to go back and forth with the defense.
- 35:24OK, All right. So like my BS sniffer is, is
- 35:29detecting, you know, a foul odor and but I'm I'm going to go, OK,
- 35:34I'll go, I'll go along with that.
- 35:36Call the defense. I get a no comment.
- 35:38OK, fair enough. So this week, 2 days ago, I, I
- 35:46go in, there's no order. So I called to see if I could
- 35:51talk to plaintiff's counsel. They made an appointment for the
- 35:55next day. They, they, they wouldn't, you
- 35:57know, let me talk to him then. That's fine.
- 35:59So the next day I called back. I talked to him.
- 36:01Yeah. Yeah, I think that we're, I
- 36:03think my colleague was working on that just a couple days ago.
- 36:06Again, just going back forth with defense.
- 36:08We that should be filed here in the next few days.
- 36:11And all it is, is an order. Like it's two sentences.
- 36:16The judge told you what the order is, right?
- 36:19That's not the way it works out here, Gavin.
- 36:21OK, So I call, I call defense counsel and they're like, we
- 36:27have been asking for this for months.
- 36:30He has not talked to us. He's not answered any questions,
- 36:33everything. So like you talk about the used
- 36:36car salesman, right? The the attorneys that act like
- 36:40used car salesman, that guy is just a terrible attorney and a
- 36:45terrible person, right? He's just I.
- 36:51I wonder what law school he went to.
- 36:55That way, Gavin, they are around here.
- 36:59That hasn't been my experience. Really.
- 37:03Yeah. Well, they're normal people,
- 37:06typically. I think the more that you get
- 37:09out of these mountains is what I said the other night on my show.
- 37:13When you get like in Lexington and Louisville and you get more
- 37:18into the cities, you have more of a professional standard,
- 37:25right that that every attorney is supposed to live by.
- 37:31But when you get and so the the exception to the rule is the
- 37:38out, you know the outlier. But here it's just the opposite.
- 37:43It's just the opposite. If you come in here and you have
- 37:47any kind of ethics, morals, or, you know, gumption about you,
- 37:52you ain't gonna stay very long 'cause they're gonna make it so
- 37:56uncomfortable for you in some way, shape or form.
- 38:00They run you out of here. Yeah, that's, I mean it.
- 38:05It becomes like organized crime, right?
- 38:08Hey guys, real quick, just want to, oh, maybe my thing just
- 38:12hasn't refreshed. If you have questions, go ahead
- 38:18and and put them in the live chat, put AGF in there so that I
- 38:21can see them. But I'd love to if you have
- 38:25questions for for me or for Elizabeth, love to love to see
- 38:29him. Cabling says look at Nancy
- 38:31Guthrie with Nanos, a complete fraud with his experience.
- 38:36Oh, that's a great point. Have you been watching the Nancy
- 38:40Guthrie thing? OK, all right, look, and I
- 38:45totally get it. I, I, I respect the devil Audia
- 38:49for focusing on Appalachia, right?
- 38:52Focusing on where you are, your hillbilly crime.
- 38:54That's that's awesome. But the Nancy Guthrie case, man,
- 38:59the Nancy Guthrie case has been a roller coaster of emotions for
- 39:04me. Not only.
- 39:04Well, first of all, an 84 year old woman was full on kidnapped
- 39:09from her home. Well, I started to cover it at
- 39:13the beginning and I covered it for about two or three weeks,
- 39:17yeah. But then I saw that it's.
- 39:19It started snowballing into this like I didn't know what the heck
- 39:24to. Believe it kind of becomes a
- 39:26circus right it just. So I just stepped away from.
- 39:29It and I and I totally respect that but one of the things that
- 39:32came out that this is talking this is along the same lines of
- 39:36what you said this is an elected sheriff.
- 39:40His name is Chris Nanos and he kind like he started out.
- 39:46When he started out, I was like, I like this guy.
- 39:49He's kind of a no nonsense kind of an Andy Griffith kind of guy.
- 39:52He's just going to tell you how he feels and like, OK, so this
- 39:56is going to be good for us and it's going to be good for the
- 39:58case. But it became apparent very
- 40:01quickly, this guy is out of his depth, way out of his depth,
- 40:06right? And he, he had law enforcement
- 40:10experience, but on his resume that he published, that he went,
- 40:16you know, that he filed. He had like serious problems
- 40:22with discipline in his past when he was when he was a police
- 40:25officer, he had serious disciplinary problems.
- 40:29And yeah, I know, right? And so I like it is funny it
- 40:37like if you don't laugh, you would cry about it, right?
- 40:41But ultimately we got the freaking Marx Brothers doing an
- 40:46investigation into the kidnapping of an 84 year old
- 40:51heart patient, right? We can't have that.
- 40:54We need, we need people that know how to do the job.
- 40:57Man, that cabling. That is a great comment.
- 41:00That's exactly that's exactly right.
- 41:03Oh, dude, Sheriff Nanos. Well, I think that's how I think
- 41:07that's happening in every small town across America.
- 41:12Gavin Guthrie is a perfect example of a serious crime that
- 41:19deserved a serious crime scene analysis, a serious crime scene
- 41:25collection. But when you don't have the
- 41:28personnel, when you don't have the employees.
- 41:32I mean, one of the employees I heard that was on that case
- 41:37ended up getting arrested. He was a deputy or something
- 41:40getting arrested for R wording or?
- 41:44Or something. I don't know that he was on the
- 41:46case, but he was a member of that.
- 41:47He was. It was a sheriff's deputy.
- 41:50Yeah, he was a member of that department.
- 41:52Yeah. You know, And it's just
- 41:55incompetence. And it's the level of training.
- 41:58None of these people are hiring competent people.
- 42:02And somebody said this to me the other day.
- 42:05Well, it was a while back, but it really stuck with me.
- 42:08You know, I was kind of poor, poor, pitiful me.
- 42:10You know, they would never hire me.
- 42:12And they were like, Elizabeth. Think about it.
- 42:17Vicky Steins didn't have no education or training himself.
- 42:21What would he have looked like? Acknowledging yours and hiring
- 42:26you? If he would have hired you, you
- 42:29would have came in and showed him up bigger than you know.
- 42:32And you, you have a bachelor's and a master's degree in
- 42:36criminal justice, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 42:39And I've been able to thought those things and you know.
- 42:44Like. That.
- 42:45The, the, the thing about that particular case with Guthrie is
- 42:51that, like, I, I don't personally believe that just
- 42:56because you're a federal agent, you are a better investigator or
- 42:59more experienced than a state agent or even a community agent.
- 43:03I mean, one of the best investigators I've ever met was
- 43:07a Pennsylvania State Police officer in Little Podunk County,
- 43:12PA Yeah, he was really good. But but he was podunk.
- 43:17And so. So just because you're federal
- 43:21doesn't mean you're better. However, if you're federal, you
- 43:24have the resources. You you just have more
- 43:27resources. And so why the FBI on a case
- 43:30like that where it's kidnapping, it is federal.
- 43:33It will always be federal. There will be, there will be
- 43:37Interstate commerce, there will be communications.
- 43:39They probably are crossing state lines.
- 43:42It's almost certainly from moment one federal get the feds
- 43:48in now, right? And what's that?
- 43:54What did you see on that first couple of days right after she
- 43:59was kidnapped? You saw the the FBI agents
- 44:04standing behind Sheriff Podunk. He was up at the podium and you
- 44:11saw, I saw watched the eyes of those feds as he, Podunk was
- 44:17speaking and. They were just like, dude.
- 44:21Yeah, but exactly. And so the point being to your
- 44:25point, what you just said right there, why were they not?
- 44:29It was they had jurisdiction. This was kidnapping.
- 44:33They didn't his, they didn't need him to say will you please
- 44:38help me? What I saw was a bunch of men
- 44:42standing around not wanting to step on each others toes.
- 44:47Nobody really knew who who was gonna be in charge.
- 44:50You know, you didn't have nobody that just took charge and said,
- 44:53OK, look, this is what we need to do and delegate that
- 44:57authority, delegate those responsibilities.
- 45:00You didn't have anybody doing that, or at least nobody that
- 45:03was competent, that knew what they was doing.
- 45:07Yeah, yeah. The the the other thing about
- 45:14the Guthrie case is that it became a a circus.
- 45:16It it became a YouTube circus. Outside, it sure did.
- 45:24And that was one of those things where like, listen, if I had if
- 45:29I had the financial wherewithal to go, I will go out to where
- 45:34this is happening and I will talk to people and I will try to
- 45:39get information. I will responsibly report it
- 45:42kind of Bryan Enton style, right?
- 45:44I would totally do that. What I would not do is like
- 45:48harass neighbors. And I saw some live streams
- 45:52going out on that just boggled my mind where a live streamer on
- 45:58YouTube had his phone pointed at Nancy Guthrie's house on a
- 46:02tripod. Literally nothing is happening.
- 46:06He's not saying a word occasionally, like a, a media
- 46:11person will walk through or somebody walking their dog will
- 46:13walk through and 30,000 people are watching it.
- 46:17It's like what, what value are you bringing?
- 46:21But but people were consuming that crap.
- 46:25Yep, it it. It's kind of frustrating right
- 46:27where you're like, I want to be, I want to provide some some good
- 46:31content. I want to provide education.
- 46:34I want to I want to learn stuff myself too.
- 46:38And and that dill hole is getting 30,000 people watch.
- 46:43He's printing money just standing outside of a desert
- 46:46home, pointing a camera at it. That hurt that case.
- 46:51All of the people that that set up out in front of that house,
- 46:57they contaminated the crime scene.
- 47:00They should have those off. Those police should have roped
- 47:03that off for blocks and blocks. They should have.
- 47:08I mean, I don't even know what the radius they should have, you
- 47:13know, marked that crime scene. But they should have made it
- 47:15much bigger than what they did. And nobody should have been able
- 47:19to get through there. They should have been able to
- 47:22look for tire prints or tire tracks.
- 47:24They should have been able to look for footprints.
- 47:26They should have been able to track that man from that house.
- 47:32And if they had done their job right from the beginning, I
- 47:38think they probably would have found her.
- 47:40But they didn't. They screwed it up so bad.
- 47:44But you know, I, I thought as as soon as I saw Anton on the front
- 47:50porch video on the blood splatter on the I, I thought,
- 47:55what the hell is going on? Why are them cops letting them
- 48:02do that? That's part of the case.
- 48:04That's part of the crime scene. They're trampling all through
- 48:09the blood and. And as much as it's like, hey,
- 48:12we've got content to talk about, we shouldn't know that there's
- 48:16blood on the front porch. We shouldn't know that That's
- 48:23yeah, yeah. It's crazy.
- 48:27Even if they found her now, if they found some, that whole
- 48:31investigation shot, they ain't nobody going to be convicted of
- 48:35that, I don't think. Well, yeah, I mean, it's one of
- 48:41those things where we don't know what they have until they tell
- 48:43us what they have. But I.
- 48:46But so much time has passed, right.
- 48:49That's like. What do you think?
- 48:53What do I think? Yeah, As far as who done it and
- 48:58why, I think that she was likely targeted because she was known
- 49:03to be Savannah Guthrie's mom and and they probably thought that
- 49:08they could get millions of dollars.
- 49:10I think that's probably the case.
- 49:12And you know, there was a there's a bunch of bunch of
- 49:16sideshows, bunch of impersonators, I think.
- 49:22But yeah, the guy cased the place.
- 49:23He was there multiple nights. You think he accidentally killed
- 49:28her and then it? Yeah, I think she's dead.
- 49:32And I'm like, I don't want to think that.
- 49:34I just think that, yeah, that's that's probably the deal.
- 49:38She's in a shallow grave in the desert.
- 49:41And I bring this up all the time.
- 49:42I've got a I've got a buddy who's a who's a judge.
- 49:45And she tells me all the time when she when she's driving
- 49:49through the woods, she wonders how many bodies are in those
- 49:51woods. And when she's driving through
- 49:52the desert, she wonders how many bodies are out in that desert.
- 49:56When she's in the field, she wonders how many bodies are in
- 49:58the field. It's just, you know, we, we only
- 50:04know about the crimes that stupid people commit.
- 50:07That's true. They're still really smart
- 50:09people. That is so, so true.
- 50:15Yeah, yeah, yeah. There's another.
- 50:17There's a What do you think about Murdoch?
- 50:22Is conviction being thrown out? That oh, OK, It it's it's one
- 50:29where I have mixed feelings because it absolutely should
- 50:33have been thrown out. But Becky Hill shouldn't have
- 50:38been doing all that crap, right? If she just would've again, an
- 50:42elected official, an elected official, she was the court
- 50:47clerk, right? So elected official of
- 50:50Podunksville, South Carolina is full on talking about, you know,
- 50:57influencing the jury. Yeah, of course, of course,
- 51:03kicked that case, right. But dude, the slap on the wrist
- 51:09that she got was she should have gotten 20 years, as far as I'm
- 51:14concerned, 20 years. He killed his wife and son.
- 51:21Yeah. Obviously, and he'll get a new
- 51:26trial. I watched every bit of that
- 51:29trial, that first one, I was glued to it.
- 51:33I mean, it was it just had me and I learned so much watching
- 51:39that trial. I learned so much about how
- 51:42they, the, the different kinds of things that they can get from
- 51:46our cell phones, like whenever he threw it out the window and,
- 51:52and all of the data that they can get from your car from the
- 51:55motor or whatever it is. They, they had him slowing down
- 52:01at that one point where he threw the phone out the window, her
- 52:05phone, his wife's phone as he was leaving the, the crime
- 52:09scene. And they even had his car
- 52:11speeding up. You know, he hit the gas as soon
- 52:14as he threw the phone out and you had the phone data and the
- 52:19car data, you know, to to confirm and go side by side so
- 52:24you could see every step that he took.
- 52:27And it just really showed me. Elizabeth out here in Crawford
- 52:34County, Pennsylvania, a couple years ago, a young Amish woman
- 52:37who is pregnant with her third child was murdered by having her
- 52:43throat, well, basically she was nearly decapitated.
- 52:47He, he sliced all the way to the bone and killed her and her
- 52:51unborn child. OK, there's a guy named Sean
- 52:54Cranston and the victim, her name was Rebecca Byler.
- 52:59She was like a 26 year old Amish mom of two and she was several
- 53:05months along like she was well along in her pregnancy.
- 53:10OK, so I go to the I go to the preliminary hearing and the
- 53:16amount of digital data, and this is in the middle of
- 53:20Spartansburg, Pennsylvania. It is in the middle of nowhere.
- 53:24It is there are more horses and buggies than cars, right?
- 53:29Like it is it that entire place is designed to be off the grid
- 53:36and the amount of digital data that they had.
- 53:40Like when he bought his car, he financed it and so the finance
- 53:46company put GPS tracking even though it was an old car.
- 53:48So there was the GPS tracking. There was a hunt club in the
- 53:53middle of nowheresville, right? But that hunt club had cameras
- 53:56and it was always pointed where he travelled and stuff like his
- 54:01cell phone data. He tried turning it off and I
- 54:05mean it was crazy. And then like, so I reported on
- 54:10it as the local reporter Crawford County's near us.
- 54:14And I went out there that, that day I got photography of, of the
- 54:17crime scene tape and you know, all the, the whole thing.
- 54:22So the Amish people started reaching out to me for
- 54:25information and like, you know, just good salt to the earth
- 54:30folks. They just, they just want to
- 54:32know what's happening with all the English.
- 54:34They're disconnected, right? They, that's what they call us.
- 54:37We are English, they are Amish, even though I hey, I'm Welsh
- 54:42Scottish, thank you very much. But it doesn't.
- 54:48Matter, Yeah. But anyway, so I'm talking, I'm
- 54:52talking with, with these Amish folks and a lot of it is just
- 54:55rumor. I heard this, I heard that.
- 54:57And then I go out to Sparty and I'm in like a like a hardware
- 55:01store and I'm talking with this Amish guy and he goes, you know,
- 55:04there were a bunch of robberies that were happening, like
- 55:08burglaries. Like we would be out to work and
- 55:10then we'd come back and our money would be stolen.
- 55:13Like, how many are we talking about?
- 55:16And he's like, oh, I don't know, 20, something like that.
- 55:21I was able to find a dozen in, in the police reporting that
- 55:24were unsolved, that all were tight.
- 55:28Like once I reported these 12 looked like Cranston did them
- 55:34and, and I like interviewed his lawyer who said no comment.
- 55:37I interviewed the DA who said no comment.
- 55:40You know, all that stuff. But I published here are 12
- 55:44burglaries that look exactly like Rebecca Byler's burglary.
- 55:48And of course his family was like, it's so irresponsible for
- 55:51you to to report this. And I can't believe, you know,
- 55:55that sort of thing. They were all angry with me and
- 55:58my publication. He ended up pleading guilty to
- 56:02not only the murder, but to burglaries.
- 56:05All those burglaries. Yeah, not every single one that
- 56:08I published, but yeah, they were able because of the digital
- 56:11data. Once they were like, what are
- 56:12you doing? I don't know if they if they
- 56:15were like 3 steps ahead of me or three steps behind me, but but
- 56:20he got, he pleaded guilty to those burglaries.
- 56:24I feel safe in assume, in speculating that they were three
- 56:29steps behind you because that's the way that it is here.
- 56:33You know, they, they just don't even know, you know, we know
- 56:41because we're trained, we're educated in this stuff, you
- 56:47know, even just by the, the nature of what we are drawn to,
- 56:56we educate ourselves, let alone the academic education and the
- 57:02knowledge and the stuff that we go out and, and dig up.
- 57:06So I put in a public records request for our county's grant
- 57:11projects and all of them flood funding that came in, all those
- 57:17millions of dollars. I put it in several months ago
- 57:20and they told me it would be ready in two months.
- 57:23And so I requested every grant project from 2020 to the present
- 57:30and I got it back a few weeks ago.
- 57:33And so I've been working on that too, taking going through it,
- 57:38doing my special sauce, you know, to it and going through,
- 57:43and this is very interesting. So one thing that I've done is I
- 57:49opened up a project on Google Earth and then I took every bit
- 57:54of the data that came in from each project, the invoices, the
- 58:02latitude and longitude, the scope of the work, everything.
- 58:07I've taken it all and put it all into each project and I've met
- 58:12and that's what I'm, I've only got like one that I'm working on
- 58:16right now because it it'll take me years probably to do it, but
- 58:20to do every one of them. But that way we can go in and
- 58:26actually follow the money because and.
- 58:30See what actually happened, see like what was built and stuff
- 58:33like that. Yeah, well, they're saying that
- 58:36this is damaged. OK, So the biggest one that I've
- 58:39that I've found I went through the 1st 35 everywhere it says
- 58:46$4995 invoice, a $49.95 invoice, $49.95 invoice until you get to
- 58:55the payment column payout was $39,916 for that project for
- 59:07that. So that's a big.
- 59:12Question. Big difference.
- 59:15Let's see, Cindy says. Cindy says Elizabeth was the
- 59:19only person that loved statistics in college.
- 59:23Yeah. That's funny.
- 59:26That's funny. My mommy taught it.
- 59:30Your mom taught it. She teaches statistics, yes.
- 59:34No. She's been the math professor at
- 59:38our local college for the last 40 years.
- 59:41I didn't know that sweet Tater has.
- 59:44Yeah. Oh man, I didn't know that.
- 59:47I I guess I don't watch enough. I'm, I'm too busy producing my
- 59:50own stuff. I don't get to watch everybody
- 59:52else's stuff. I'm the same way.
- 59:57That's funny. I I was talking I was talking
- 1:00:00with a friend today. So I've been travelling back to
- 1:00:05California a lot lately. My my my, my dad has been
- 1:00:10fighting cancer for like 6 years now.
- 1:00:12And any opportunity to go back is, is, is a good thing.
- 1:00:16And anyway, so we're getting ready to go back and I'm setting
- 1:00:20up this thing for friends to get together while while I'm in
- 1:00:23town. That that's, that's why I was
- 1:00:26talking to my friend. But as we were talking about,
- 1:00:29hey, why don't we go shoot pool? We'll, we'll go and shoot pool.
- 1:00:32Everybody get together, you know, bring your spouse or your
- 1:00:34kids or whatever, we'll go, we'll go shoot pool.
- 1:00:37We start talking about pool and, and I was like, yeah, I take my
- 1:00:40boys to shoot pool and they did. The poor guys just just don't
- 1:00:44understand how many hours I spent in a pool hall in the 90s.
- 1:00:48They will never catch up. And, and my friend goes, you
- 1:00:52know, my son, my son came home trying to teach me about math.
- 1:00:56He's got a postgraduate degree in statistics, right?
- 1:00:59That's what he's got. And he's like, someday you will
- 1:01:03best me in math. But today is not that day.
- 1:01:11I'm still waiting for my boys to catch up to me on the on the
- 1:01:14pool table. I I I don't know.
- 1:01:16I don't know when it'll happen. It'll happen eventually.
- 1:01:20Yeah. Pretty.
- 1:01:21One thing about I've noticed, you know, the world's just
- 1:01:25changed and the kids today, they are not, they'll never, they
- 1:01:32will never get the world that we grew up in, whether you were
- 1:01:36wealthy or poor, still the world before the Internet was a
- 1:01:42completely different world, you know, you had, but the world
- 1:01:46before bones. And I try not to be a curmudgeon
- 1:01:49about it, but I do think it was probably better without the
- 1:01:52Internet. I think we were better off
- 1:01:53without the Internet. I I say as I am live streaming
- 1:01:58on the Internet. Well, everything's just changed,
- 1:02:03you know, And it's, it's changing so fast and it's not
- 1:02:07going to stop. It's going to keep evolving, you
- 1:02:11know, and if so, we don't keep up right now.
- 1:02:14It's going to take off and leave us behind.
- 1:02:17You're going to have, we will just have been a little blip in
- 1:02:22the moment of time, you know, the hillbilly crime, the Gavin
- 1:02:27Fish show, YouTube show, you know, but if we don't try and
- 1:02:32adapt and, and go along with it while it's going, I, I feel like
- 1:02:38it's going to leave us behind. And, and because man, oh man,
- 1:02:42you see some of the stuff that they're coming out with now.
- 1:02:45I watched something today where they put out.
- 1:02:49It was the stupidest joke you ever heard in your life.
- 1:02:52It was like 3 little sentences didn't even make sense.
- 1:02:57But they had put a like a cartoon but with it.
- 1:03:04And I mean they had 150,000 views on it and it was just a, a
- 1:03:10three sentence joke that didn't even make sense.
- 1:03:14So you know, and these long form educational things, I don't know
- 1:03:20about your audience, but most of my audience are older females.
- 1:03:27Yeah, Hang. On.
- 1:03:29Yeah, no worries. Now that's the way it is.
- 1:03:32My audience is 75% / 45 and 90% female.
- 1:03:40Yeah, that's my audience. Too.
- 1:03:45That is. My audience.
- 1:03:47I just wondered if old ladies just really like bearded fat
- 1:03:51guys. Maybe that maybe that was it,
- 1:03:53right? But I don't know.
- 1:03:56Well, I have some men too, but it's usually but it's it's all
- 1:04:01that the don't don't anybody get upset with me using that word.
- 1:04:06I say older but. Yeah, I say it lovingly.
- 1:04:10Sure. Yeah, 45 and older, and I
- 1:04:14didn't. Most of my audience are like 55
- 1:04:17and older. Yeah, they're older than me.
- 1:04:20And I think that that's the demographic of people who are
- 1:04:26actually listening and paying attention.
- 1:04:29Beyond just the 62nd or the even like the 10 second stupid joke.
- 1:04:35Yeah. No, there is something about the
- 1:04:37true crime audience and this isn't me, just like lobbying to
- 1:04:41the people who are watching us. But if you ever go to a like a
- 1:04:45crime con and I, I have not gone to any crime con in the US.
- 1:04:51I've only gone to crime con UK. But I think it, it's reflective
- 1:04:58of everywhere in the world. Like the, the amount of, I guess
- 1:05:06the quality of the person is high, the quality of the person,
- 1:05:10you would kind of expect them to be kind of like horror porn
- 1:05:16addicts kind of thing. That, that's kind of what I
- 1:05:18thought in the beginning. But no, they're like
- 1:05:20conscientious people that want to help solve crimes, right.
- 1:05:25It's it's not just people that like to listen to horrible,
- 1:05:29scary books. Yeah.
- 1:05:32The. Comic Con is what you're it kind
- 1:05:35of Comic Con. Yeah, well, and I didn't grow up
- 1:05:39being a true crime person. I used to make fun of my little
- 1:05:44sister who, you know, would watch court TV and stuff like
- 1:05:48that and cops stuff like what are you doing?
- 1:05:51America's Most Wanted, What are you doing?
- 1:05:53That is the most I was about to say.
- 1:05:56That's the most mind numbing stupid stuff you can watch.
- 1:06:00Of course I was watching Animaniacs at the same time so
- 1:06:03that you know, but I didn't grow up doing this.
- 1:06:06I was kind of roped into true crime by my buddy Rick when we
- 1:06:10decided to start YouTube and then was like, this is awesome.
- 1:06:12I, I love it here. So I didn't know what to expect.
- 1:06:17I go to a crime con. No, these are people that want
- 1:06:20to know how to how to solve crimes.
- 1:06:23And many of them do. You know, they're pretty
- 1:06:27amazing. Yeah, I didn't grow up with it
- 1:06:30either. You know, I just threw a, a Roku
- 1:06:35TV up on my wall about five years ago and did away with
- 1:06:39cable and I watched YouTube app and I'm just more drawn to the
- 1:06:45true crime because that's my, my hobby, that's my education.
- 1:06:50That's just my thing. And so I, I didn't even know
- 1:06:53that they existed. I knew that like I could watch
- 1:06:57stuff on cable, like the ID discovery or discovery ID that
- 1:07:03Channel loved that. And me and my mommy always
- 1:07:06watched Law and Order SVU. That was our show.
- 1:07:14My. Wife loves that one.
- 1:07:16Yeah. And so I would just watch true
- 1:07:19crime stuff and I was like, man, I can do what they're doing.
- 1:07:26I can do that. And I know a lot more about it
- 1:07:29than most of these people I'm watching.
- 1:07:31And so I just started watching and but I was like I said, I was
- 1:07:35doing my insurance at the time and I was working 70 hours a
- 1:07:38week. And so I just had it in the back
- 1:07:40of my mind and was just paying attention while I was working
- 1:07:44until the the Lord opened the door one day and said here.
- 1:07:49When Mickey Stein's gunned down Kevin Mullen's in his office.
- 1:07:53Now remember, you might not remember I started my show one
- 1:07:58week before he shot you. Tell me that.
- 1:08:04What is happening with that case, by the way?
- 1:08:06I saw that, of course, the judge is staying on.
- 1:08:09And let's see, Mickey Stein's was ordered to a hearing, right?
- 1:08:15Yeah, it's coming up. I'm glad that you said that.
- 1:08:19That's coming up this week maybe or next week and.
- 1:08:24Soon. They didn't do it and they
- 1:08:27didn't order it for Ledger County, which is what they had
- 1:08:30been doing it. They ordered it for Leslie
- 1:08:32County, where he's being housed. He's in the Leslie County Jail,
- 1:08:36right? So what do you think that's
- 1:08:38about? I hadn't caught it.
- 1:08:42Might just be that there it, it might just be remote.
- 1:08:46Do you think they're going to transfer him to court?
- 1:08:49Well, he's he's, that's where he's at.
- 1:08:51So they're having court in Leslie County.
- 1:08:55Oh. You see what I mean?
- 1:08:57Instead of them him from the Leslie County Jail to the Ledger
- 1:09:01County Court, they're having court in Leslie County Court
- 1:09:05where he's being housed. Maybe it's just easier that way.
- 1:09:10I don't know. Because the judge isn't in
- 1:09:13Letcher or Leslie County. What?
- 1:09:14What county is he in? He's all the way on the other
- 1:09:17side of the state. He's in Warren County.
- 1:09:20Huh. Yeah, the, the great hiatus, the
- 1:09:25great news hiatus that happens in every case, right?
- 1:09:27We're, we're like for a month, you can focus, focus, focus,
- 1:09:30focus on the case if you're lucky.
- 1:09:33And then, and then you wait for like 3 years before you might be
- 1:09:37able to work on it again, you know?
- 1:09:39And that's what's happening with Mickey.
- 1:09:42Yes, with Mickey Stein's, I think they're going to end up
- 1:09:47offering him a plea. Oh, I'm sure.
- 1:09:49Yeah, he shot Kevin Mullins on camera.
- 1:09:56It's just a matter of was he legally responsible for it?
- 1:09:59And if he wasn't, then he's going to spend the rest of his
- 1:10:02days in a in a hospital. And if he was, then he spends
- 1:10:09the rest of his days in prison. So pick your poison.
- 1:10:14Can't imagine he's getting out. No way.
- 1:10:18I I don't think any jury would would acquit him.
- 1:10:22I don't think so either. But you know, there's been
- 1:10:24stranger things that have happened.
- 1:10:26Could you imagine if we went to trial and you actually got a
- 1:10:31jury that turned him? Loose dude, if we go to trial,
- 1:10:36I'm going down there to let your county, but they better freaking
- 1:10:39have metal detectors at that courthouse.
- 1:10:42They do now. I guess it wouldn't it, it
- 1:10:49wouldn't have helped Kevin Mullins.
- 1:10:50He was the sheriff that done it. But let's see, let's see.
- 1:10:56Cooler by the Lakes says. At the risk of sounding like a
- 1:10:59curmudgeon and speaking as an old lady, I'm glad there's
- 1:11:02dedicated content geared to our demographic, people with an
- 1:11:06attention span. That's right, that's right.
- 1:11:10And Robin is one of my moderator says old ladies have more time
- 1:11:15then while we are raising our kids and husband raising our
- 1:11:18kids. And you know what I am I would
- 1:11:21be offended by that comment but I understand it.
- 1:11:25Finally our family is potty trained and achieved
- 1:11:27independence free time. Is your husband potty trained
- 1:11:31though? Is he?
- 1:11:33I promise you he's out peeing on a fence right now.
- 1:11:38Sweet taters. Barely.
- 1:11:42She's barely potty trained. It's funny.
- 1:11:50Yeah. Mickey Stein's that that's a
- 1:11:51case that I'm always I'm always looking for.
- 1:11:54Hey, have you been watching the whole Luigi Mangioni stuff at
- 1:11:57all? No.
- 1:11:59OK. First off, while recognizing
- 1:12:04that the healthcare system is broken in our country and
- 1:12:09sympathizing with with people with real problems working with
- 1:12:13the healthcare industry, you can't go out assassinating
- 1:12:17folks. And I don't understand this,
- 1:12:21Elizabeth, Maybe, maybe you with your education, you can
- 1:12:24enlighten me on this one. But there are sick people that
- 1:12:28for some reason are supporters of a man that would go out and
- 1:12:33assassinate another man. It feels like it's the same kind
- 1:12:38of thing when people fall in love with serial killers.
- 1:12:40They send them like love letters and stuff like that, right?
- 1:12:44It's just like a weird psychosis.
- 1:12:46Mickey Steins Look how many have said Free Mickey.
- 1:12:52Is is that a thing everybody wants or, well, not everybody?
- 1:12:5685%, 85% comments on my stuff say free Mickey and I bet you
- 1:13:04that's quote and you could probably that's probably right
- 1:13:09accurate. No joke.
- 1:13:14So maybe a maybe a jury would acquit him, maybe going back to
- 1:13:19your favorite person, Ned Pillarsdorf, and his idea of
- 1:13:24this is a time to kill what, maybe that defense would work.
- 1:13:29But he did. But they're wanting to make this
- 1:13:35in a time to kill the the now. This ain't happening in the
- 1:13:40courts. His attorney ain't doing it.
- 1:13:42This is happening out here in the court of public opinion.
- 1:13:46They've got him in this time to kill defense, but he's never
- 1:13:52even said, you know, like this is not over the daughter.
- 1:13:57The judge did not do nothing to his daughter.
- 1:14:01He's the one that's done this to his daughter.
- 1:14:04If anybody has hurt his daughter, it's been him.
- 1:14:08It's him, you know, it's Speaking of her.
- 1:14:12I have not checked on her in quite a while.
- 1:14:16Have you looked at her TikTok? I I never even looked at it back
- 1:14:23then until somebody sent it to me or I had about 100 people
- 1:14:27send it to me. I'm like, I work so much on my
- 1:14:31own stuff. I don't hardly.
- 1:14:32My TV has not been turned on in probably two months.
- 1:14:38And that's like my TV stayed on 24 hours a day for the last 10
- 1:14:44years. That's funny, let me let me see
- 1:14:48if I can see if she's been posting anything.
- 1:14:53I haven't looked in forever. Well, I'll give you a little
- 1:14:58inside scoop on her. OK.
- 1:15:01Somebody I know went to the doctor not long ago and she's
- 1:15:05working at a local medical clinic as like a host or
- 1:15:12something. She may take like whenever you
- 1:15:14go in and you check in for your appointment, whenever she works
- 1:15:18the desk or something. She's working, you know, she's
- 1:15:21posting, she's posting on, on Tiktok like every couple of
- 1:15:26days. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:15:29Well, that said that she looked really, really frail and she
- 1:15:33looked really pale and that she just didn't look very well.
- 1:15:38But I'm sorry to hear that because she's a victim in this,
- 1:15:42right? Yes, she is.
- 1:15:45But you know, that's her daddy. She's going to, she's going to
- 1:15:48defend him. I wonder what I would do in a
- 1:15:53situation like that. Like I feel like I would have.
- 1:16:00I think I would have the mental fortitude to be able to say my
- 1:16:04dad's a murderer and I still love him, but he's got to face
- 1:16:09the consequences of what he did. I feel like I would do that for
- 1:16:13my children like. Like, well, she can't really say
- 1:16:17anything at all because, you know, her dad still got a trial.
- 1:16:24Yeah. You know, she's really kind of
- 1:16:27in a place where she can't really she can't say anything
- 1:16:29about that other than she's come out and said the judge did
- 1:16:35nothing to me. You know, that is not true.
- 1:16:39She has come out and said that. But you know, it would be really
- 1:16:43hard to be in this situation. But you know, they there's kind
- 1:16:50of like this big thing focus on her.
- 1:16:56And I think that that's kind of gotten focus off the judge and
- 1:17:03the judge's family. They're the victims.
- 1:17:06Like I see and I see how she is a victim, but her her own father
- 1:17:13did that to her. You know, that's nobody else did
- 1:17:17that to her. And they come out kind of
- 1:17:19attacking everybody else. You know, it wasn't directed at
- 1:17:24any specific people, but it's kind of like they if you talk
- 1:17:29about this case at all, you're in the wrong.
- 1:17:34You know, that's the kind of at the attitude that comes with
- 1:17:40and. That's not.
- 1:17:41It's not exactly how reality works.
- 1:17:45Do you think that the stuff that people are talking about, as far
- 1:17:50as what Kevin Mullins had been doing or allegedly had been
- 1:17:54doing, what people are saying had been doing, do you think
- 1:17:57that would come out in a trial, do you think?
- 1:18:02And if it did, would that be enough for a jury to go?
- 1:18:05I'm not convicting this guy. He killed a scumbag.
- 1:18:08That's a very good possibility because Mickey's attorney has
- 1:18:14said the reason why they wanted this judge off the case was
- 1:18:19because he knew Mullins. He had a specific perspective of
- 1:18:27Mullins just like the rest of the world did, and that whatever
- 1:18:32they're getting ready to bring out at trial is going to
- 1:18:37conflict with that perspective. The way that they have always
- 1:18:42seen the judge, whatever coming out, it's gonna go against that.
- 1:18:48And that's they used that in their reason to have him taken
- 1:18:53off the case. So that leads me to believe
- 1:18:57they're going to be bringing something.
- 1:19:00But what's going to be relevant? You know, like, you know how
- 1:19:04these things work. There's no surprises.
- 1:19:08They have to tell before they the Kate the the trial even
- 1:19:13starts. Don't they have to?
- 1:19:14Kind of? Tell mostly litigated by the
- 1:19:16time the trial starts. Right.
- 1:19:19Like they know they know exactly what each side is going to
- 1:19:23present to the jury and each side knows exactly what their
- 1:19:27strategy is to counter what the other says to the jury.
- 1:19:31It's not like we got Mickey Holler out there doing like
- 1:19:35these amazing or Alan Shore, these fictitious, you know,
- 1:19:38super lawyers that, you know, drop drop Dimes on people in
- 1:19:43open court. That doesn't happen, never
- 1:19:45happens. So the the question is, does
- 1:19:49Judge, what's his name? I can't remember his name right
- 1:19:51now. Will, what is it, Corin?
- 1:19:55That's right. Does Judge Corin have the is he
- 1:20:01unbiased enough to judge correctly on the law?
- 1:20:05He doesn't have to judge on the facts at all.
- 1:20:07He doesn't have to judge on any of that.
- 1:20:10That's up to the jury, right? But will he be unbiased enough
- 1:20:14to judge on the law? And it it looks like right now,
- 1:20:16at least, the state Supreme Court agrees that he can.
- 1:20:20I think that the the devil that you know that saying I don't
- 1:20:26ever get right. Better than the devil.
- 1:20:28You don't. Yeah.
- 1:20:30Yeah, he is where he was on that mental health board.
- 1:20:34I think that he would probably be a better judge to have
- 1:20:38understand mental illness and mental health defense.
- 1:20:44I think he would be a better judge to understand an expert
- 1:20:47and the kind of expert testimony that they will have.
- 1:20:50I think that he has a really good reputation for being a fair
- 1:20:55judge. He doesn't have any kind of, you
- 1:20:58know, nasty stuff popping up, you know, about his past cases
- 1:21:03or anything that I've seen so far anyway.
- 1:21:07I've seen childhood friends of his comment on my stuff and say
- 1:21:12I've known him since the 5th grade and he's been an ace all
- 1:21:17through life, you know, So I, I tend to believe those comments,
- 1:21:23you know, but I think that he will be better than somebody
- 1:21:30that maybe you don't know what their understanding of mental
- 1:21:36health is, even as a judge. Yeah, and it's all going to boil
- 1:21:40down to what his understanding the law is, right?
- 1:21:43That's is. And of course, to your point, as
- 1:21:47it applies to mental health law, so yeah.
- 1:21:53Yeah. It's fun to have you on.
- 1:21:57I love these conversations. I wish, I wish we'd do this more
- 1:22:00often. We can.
- 1:22:03We should. Anytime you just hollered at.
- 1:22:08Me, it makes Friday so much easier guys continuing and and
- 1:22:13we're going to wrap this up. We've been at it for an hour and
- 1:22:14a half, but just for those of you watching inside baseball
- 1:22:18just a little bit here, preparing for a live stream
- 1:22:22takes about 5 hours for me. That that's what it takes.
- 1:22:26Like I, it, it's not just, hey, let's, let's just, let's do a
- 1:22:32live stream, right? It's, it's about 5 hours that,
- 1:22:35that it usually may maybe a little less some days.
- 1:22:40But today, because I had the event at the courthouse, I just,
- 1:22:46I, I didn't want to, I couldn't. And I was like, Elizabeth, let's
- 1:22:50just chat. And it, it's just, it's actually
- 1:22:55relaxing. I'm so grateful.
- 1:22:57It's just a couple old friends chatting about crime.
- 1:23:01I love it. Yeah, man, this is how we do our
- 1:23:04show all the time. I can't handle that anxiety,
- 1:23:09man. You're a little more relaxed
- 1:23:13than I am, right? That's.
- 1:23:16Yeah, this one producer that that I worked with one time, she
- 1:23:23was like, Oh my God. She said you sat there and did
- 1:23:28that whole show without no script or anything, right off
- 1:23:31the top of your head. And I was like, yeah, I do every
- 1:23:34show that way. This is before I started
- 1:23:37scripting them. And I was like, I take a shower
- 1:23:43or 10 minutes before Showtime. Are you serious?
- 1:23:47Yeah, the only. Thing I have.
- 1:23:50Is a little island or in mascara and.
- 1:23:52I have full like, here's my agenda.
- 1:23:56Here are the things that I want to cover.
- 1:23:58Here are the articles that we're going to reading or the
- 1:24:01documents we're going to read. There's the videos we're going
- 1:24:03to watch. Like I have it all like planned
- 1:24:07because I and maybe I maybe I should be a little more laid
- 1:24:11back. Well, I do a lot of that now.
- 1:24:16At first, though, I didn't have. I didn't do any of that.
- 1:24:19I just tried. I didn't know what I was doing.
- 1:24:22I've had to learn. Just screw it.
- 1:24:26I still don't know what I'm doing but like, but then I
- 1:24:30watched Dilholio Mcdilholl get 30,000 views of just like people
- 1:24:36walking in front of a house. I'm obviously doing something
- 1:24:38wrong and I don't know what I'm going to do because next month
- 1:24:43for two weeks out of the month, I'm going to be in California.
- 1:24:47So I won't be able to do any of this.
- 1:24:49I've tried three Times Now to take my system on the road.
- 1:24:55It does not does not ever want to work.
- 1:24:58You have to adapt. You have to change.
- 1:25:03You have to. You're not going to change this.
- 1:25:05You're just going to, in addition to whenever you go out
- 1:25:10there, just open your YouTube app on your phone, Gavin.
- 1:25:14And go. Live on your phone, just from
- 1:25:18your phone and that's going I I guarantee you if you will do
- 1:25:23that and do that just once a day every night, you know, around
- 1:25:28your time or whatever time, you know, adapt it this you're the
- 1:25:32boss, you're the boss. This is your show.
- 1:25:36Maybe what I do is I just go on a walk like and with my phone.
- 1:25:40There you go. Maybe I get like one of those
- 1:25:43little like sticks that you can put your phone on.
- 1:25:47Yeah, so you don't even need that, honey.
- 1:25:50Just put it in your hand and hold it in front of your face as
- 1:25:54you walk. And you can walk and you can see
- 1:25:57the comments. They'll be right there.
- 1:26:00It'll be different and you'll have to adjust, you know,
- 1:26:04adjust. But your audience loves you.
- 1:26:06They're your family, they're your friends.
- 1:26:09They are going to show up for you that, you know, they're used
- 1:26:13to coming every night at 6:00 for your show.
- 1:26:16Whether you have the fish bowl up here, you know, with your
- 1:26:20thing or you are on your phone, your show is your show.
- 1:26:26And instead of you being here, you're just going to be in
- 1:26:28California and, you know, just talk about your day, talk about
- 1:26:32whatever. I guess that's what I'll do.
- 1:26:34I guess that's what I'll do because I think I hurt you guys.
- 1:26:42Elizabeth May may have saved my channel because I didn't know
- 1:26:45what I was going to do. Like I've I've tried twice and
- 1:26:49it doesn't help that like we stay at my parents house when
- 1:26:53when we go to California or or my in law's house and both of
- 1:26:57them have the crappiest Internet.
- 1:26:59I'm like, you guys are in a big city, what the crap is the
- 1:27:05matter with the Internet in your house?
- 1:27:08Well, I'll tell you what I'm going to do whenever I start
- 1:27:10tracking. We bought a bus.
- 1:27:12I've got an old bus, an old school bus, and we're going to
- 1:27:15yeah. And we are going to start
- 1:27:18working on it and hopefully by the end of the summer.
- 1:27:21I'm maybe not till next year. It may not, it may take me a
- 1:27:25while to get it worked on. But I want to make it a merch
- 1:27:28bus, you know, and start traveling.
- 1:27:30But whenever I do that, what is it?
- 1:27:34Link, that new hyperlink or Starlink?
- 1:27:38So whenever I checked into it before, I figured out what was
- 1:27:41causing all my stuff freezing. They have two different options
- 1:27:47of that star link. You can do it, buy it where it
- 1:27:51goes on your house and you just have it there.
- 1:27:53Or you can buy a mobile version where it's a little thing and
- 1:27:58you take it with you everywhere. So when you go to your parents
- 1:28:02house, you're not going to have to worry about their Internet.
- 1:28:05You're going to have that Musk Internet baby.
- 1:28:08It's going to work. Caitlin and Sharky agree with
- 1:28:12you that I should, I should do that.
- 1:28:15The by the way, the whole school bus thing, converting a school
- 1:28:18bus that has been a dream of mine for like 10 years.
- 1:28:22When we moved to Pennsylvania, we almost bought 1 and we almost
- 1:28:26like moved our family. I, I have, I'm a little more
- 1:28:30bougie. I now want like a, like a, like
- 1:28:34a bus, like a, like a greyhound, you know, like a bus.
- 1:28:40That's what I said. I want a tour bus.
- 1:28:42Yes, that's what I want. And like, I want to 'cause we're
- 1:28:46in the, we're in the time of our life where in the next, in the
- 1:28:50next 10 years, grandchildren will be here, right?
- 1:28:54And and I want to be able to go to 'cause we're, we, we are a
- 1:28:59family that spreads out. We don't, we're not like a tight
- 1:29:03family that everybody lives close to one another.
- 1:29:06Our one daughter who is married, lives in lives states away and
- 1:29:11and I live 2600 miles away from my closest, you know, family.
- 1:29:16So it's the well, that's not true.
- 1:29:18Our my older sister moved out to this area.
- 1:29:20But I, I, I've had this idea where we get like a tour bus and
- 1:29:26instead of setting it up like a motorhome, set it up like a full
- 1:29:31on tour bus with bunks. So you can like you can have
- 1:29:34like 10 bunks. Yes, I'm going to have so many
- 1:29:38teenagers. That's what I want.
- 1:29:42Bunks I, I've wanted to do that for like 10 years and I came so
- 1:29:48close to buying an MCI. It was called an MC6.
- 1:29:51It was a, it was a tour bus. So you're doing it.
- 1:29:55You're doing it the schooly style.
- 1:29:59It's my first attempt. We'll see how it goes.
- 1:30:03Listen, I am completely convinced.
- 1:30:06Gavin, don't you give up, honey. We are in, we are in this phase
- 1:30:12right now where we are building, we're building our empires and
- 1:30:18it's, you know, we just got to have faith and we have to put
- 1:30:22the work in, in, in building this foundation.
- 1:30:26And then whenever it comes, whenever that that blessing
- 1:30:29comes, if we didn't have this foundation built, we wouldn't be
- 1:30:34able to receive that blessing. Yeah.
- 1:30:37We give up before our blessing comes.
- 1:30:40Could you imagine giving up and then find out later?
- 1:30:44Man, if I had just waited, it was right around the corner.
- 1:30:47Yeah, I already gave up once on YouTube and it was Autumn and
- 1:30:52Jamie who Autumns my lead moderator and Jamie who handled
- 1:30:58well, she she established the the fish tank on on Facebook.
- 1:31:02She she administers that. That convinced me to come back.
- 1:31:05I took like many months off because I was like, this isn't
- 1:31:08working and I'm glad that I listened to him because because
- 1:31:11right now most of my income is coming from YouTube.
- 1:31:16I still have my day job and and I still do, I still hustle.
- 1:31:21But but you know, I'm we're at the point now where we pay our
- 1:31:25bills and everything on YouTube, even with the like, like if the
- 1:31:29downturn didn't happen, the YouTube, whatever YouTube did to
- 1:31:32itself, if that hadn't happened, I, yeah, I I would be making the
- 1:31:39same amount of money that I did when I was an executive in high
- 1:31:42end audio. I, I was, I was at that point.
- 1:31:48I know. And now it's just like.
- 1:31:53Listen, I'm figuring it out and see you've got, you've got, you
- 1:31:58got me over here. So once I get it figured out,
- 1:32:01then you ain't even go. You can just skip that whole
- 1:32:04thing. I'm just going to give it right.
- 1:32:05Just going to pass it over to me.
- 1:32:07Well, listen, let's see. Caitlin is like, maybe I should
- 1:32:10push Lolli by a little bit more. Have you seen my commercial for
- 1:32:13my hair? My hair shampoo.
- 1:32:15Yes, I loved. It it's amazing.
- 1:32:18We're getting to the point we're getting to the point where I'm
- 1:32:21going to be able to cut it off, though I'm I'm close to cutting
- 1:32:25it off and boy, am I looking forward to that day.
- 1:32:32Ladies, with your long hair, I, I didn't appreciate it.
- 1:32:37I did. I, yeah.
- 1:32:39I did not appreciate the care that you have to put into having
- 1:32:45long hair. I didn't, I didn't understand
- 1:32:47it. I didn't appreciate it.
- 1:32:49I I always was like, you know, there's that joke by Jeff
- 1:32:52Foxworthy that you can have as a heterosexual man, you can have a
- 1:32:59significant other, my case, a wife with beautiful, long,
- 1:33:05glorious, luxurious hair, or you can be on time to stuff.
- 1:33:10You can't have both right And that, and that is absolutely
- 1:33:15true. We're always late because it it
- 1:33:18takes her forever. But I didn't get it.
- 1:33:20I didn't get it until I grew out my hair and now I'm just like
- 1:33:26take as long as you need 'cause it sucks.
- 1:33:31Well, man, I'm I'm a different breed, honey.
- 1:33:36I don't do nothing to it. Absolutely nothing.
- 1:33:40I every once in awhile. Well, you saw me right before we
- 1:33:44started. I was a brushing it out of the
- 1:33:46shower. Let's go.
- 1:33:50So funny. Menopause has make my hair like,
- 1:33:57that's all the hair I've got. That's it, that's it.
- 1:34:02It's all gone. There ain't nothing.
- 1:34:05It's just like, like little scraggles on my head and I'm
- 1:34:10terrified. Honey, I want Dolly Parton week.
- 1:34:17I want a hair piece. You think I'd you think I'd look
- 1:34:22good with a hair piece? I I do, yeah.
- 1:34:26You, you be you. You know, I've been joking with
- 1:34:29cause having long hair has accentuated the fact that I've
- 1:34:34got like a receding hairline. It's just like, and it's just
- 1:34:38accentuated it. And I've been joking with
- 1:34:42Kimberly. I want to take the Turkish
- 1:34:44Airways. I want to go to Istanbul and I
- 1:34:48want to get plugs, man. I want to, I want to do a full
- 1:34:51Sylvester Stallone. I want my hairline to be like
- 1:34:53right here. My 15 year old son has my
- 1:35:01hairline and so he says the exact same thing.
- 1:35:06He's going bald his hairline. Oh my God, he spends 45 minutes
- 1:35:11in the morning on his hair. He's late for school every time.
- 1:35:15He's hair 'cause he's hairline, 'cause he's got a receding
- 1:35:18hairline at 15 years old, he says.
- 1:35:22Well, listen, I had the just, I had the best hair like and I
- 1:35:27grew up in the right decade for my hair.
- 1:35:30I, I started high school in 8990.
- 1:35:33In fact, I am the, I am the same graduating class as the Beverly
- 1:35:39Hills 9-O21-O kids, right? That we, we graduated in 93, so
- 1:35:44from 89 to 93. So that 90s like full on, like
- 1:35:48Brandon Walsh, Dylan, you know, thing that that was me.
- 1:35:52I had it going on, man. I was, I was raised in the
- 1:35:56perfect decade for my glorious hair.
- 1:36:01And now it, it's super thin. Like, like, yeah, I, I don't
- 1:36:05have, I don't have a lot of hair.
- 1:36:07And it's like it's just, it's marching backwards.
- 1:36:12Well, Gregory keeps his hair long, and I thought, I thought,
- 1:36:17man, I bet you if you cut your hair short, it won't make it
- 1:36:21look like that. So.
- 1:36:23And that's what you just said, ain't it?
- 1:36:25Yeah, because it kind of it can, you can bring it forward.
- 1:36:28It's not like a full coma or anything, but it lays like on
- 1:36:32your forehead and it it covers up.
- 1:36:36Maybe I need to try, You know what I need?
- 1:36:38I need a sponsorship from like a from like a hair regrowth.
- 1:36:45Have you done your branding thing on your YouTube to where
- 1:36:50you ought to do that? You ought to go in there and do
- 1:36:53all that. We've got to have us a little.
- 1:36:55OK, we're going to do that right after this, if you got time.
- 1:36:58OK, I'm, we're going to call it. Thank you so much for being
- 1:37:01here. I appreciate it.
- 1:37:02Caitlin's like saying Gavin tried wearing makeup.
- 1:37:05I know, I know. Well, first of all, I am a
- 1:37:07theater kid. I know a little bit about
- 1:37:09wearing makeup. I I grew up doing that, but
- 1:37:14doing it everyday. No, thank you.
- 1:37:16I I definitely don't want to do that.
