- 0:03access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:07issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:10hypnotherapist, demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:14royalty. Adam Cox.
- 0:16These recordings took place live from Adam's clinic in London's
- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:46Hi, it's Adam here. And you're about to listen to a
- 0:48weight loss hypnosis session that was actually created for a
- 0:52client that had this particular belief system, which I've seen
- 0:57many, many times within weight loss clients.
- 1:00And that is this element of feeling that they're between a
- 1:04rock and a hard place when it comes to weight, particularly if
- 1:08they have certain beliefs about attractiveness and weight.
- 1:13And more common in women, but not exclusively, is this idea
- 1:18that if they had interest in them, romantic interest in them,
- 1:23when they were slim, and now they're not slim, then there is
- 1:27a feeling that either they have to be slim in order to be.
- 1:30Attractive. But then that comes with an
- 1:33element of resentment in advance that why should they have to
- 1:38lose weight in order to be attractive?
- 1:40And that even if someone is interested when they lose
- 1:43weight, does that then mean that there there's something shallow
- 1:47about that person, that they're only interested in them because
- 1:50of their body shape and not because of who they are?
- 1:53And what this hypnosis session does is it puts all of that to
- 1:57the side and says, right, you are worthy and you can be
- 2:02confident irrespective of the weight loss.
- 2:05And therefore it breaks that connection of what can feel like
- 2:09a negative double bind. Because just imagine if you felt
- 2:13like you had to do something to be worthy, then there'd be a
- 2:17part of you that says, well, why should I?
- 2:19And that quite often is the block that can get in the way of
- 2:22making progress. So this hypnosis session was
- 2:27created for someone that was overweight, wanted to lose
- 2:29weight, wanted to do it for their reasons and not anyone
- 2:33else's. And that becomes quite a
- 2:35powerful metaphor. It also uses an element of
- 2:38regression to go back to a time when they did feel confident and
- 2:44they could see that version of themselves and to see that
- 2:47actually quite often the weight element of being linked to
- 2:50confidence has more to do with the beliefs of the individual
- 2:53than it does with objective or subjective perceptions of other
- 2:58people. Put simply, if you think you are
- 3:01confident and attractive, then you project that across
- 3:04irrespective of actually what's going on, confidence itself is a
- 3:08very attractive quality. So there's quite a bit going on
- 3:11here. If you are overweight and you
- 3:15would like hypnosis to help you, then there's a couple of things.
- 3:18One, this hypnosis session may help even though it was created
- 3:21for someone else. You can book a free consultation
- 3:24call to explore working with me. But also in the description
- 3:27there's also some free downloads, some of which are
- 3:30weight loss related, so feel free to check them out.
- 3:33For now, though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 3:37won't be. Disturbed, relax and.
- 3:39Enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 4:21you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 4:29And as you exhale, just allow any feelings of stress, worry,
- 4:35or tension to feel like it's leaving your body in your
- 4:43outward breath. That's it taking you deeper and
- 4:52deeper. Relaxed eyelids feeling heavier,
- 4:58jaw feeling looser, Breathing in.
- 5:03Not just relaxation, but a profound feeling of confidence
- 5:11and worthiness. I want you to get a sense that
- 5:17sometimes it's possible to feel not good enough, but that is
- 5:27just a judgement. And I want you to feel that
- 5:34you're breathing in that worthiness, that confidence and
- 5:40exhaling feelings of insecurities, trepidations and
- 5:49fears. Just allow them to leave your
- 5:51body in your outward breath. That's in.
- 6:03And the deeper you breathe, the more relaxed you become.
- 6:07And the more relaxed you become, the deeper you breathe.
- 6:12And as your body relaxes, arms and legs feeling limp, loose and
- 6:17heavy, breathing longer and deeper there from the diaphragm,
- 6:24that's it. Your imagination awakens.
- 6:28And I wonder if you could imagine, imagine a screen that
- 6:37shows all of your memories, childhood memories, memories in
- 6:45a different country, different part of the world.
- 6:48But I want you to flip through these photos, these pictures,
- 6:56and I want you to see a picture of you at a party brimming with
- 7:07confidence. I want you to see yourself and
- 7:14maybe you can recall the kind of clothes you were wearing, the
- 7:22style you had, maybe who else was there at that party.
- 7:34And I want you to imagine what it would feel like to step into
- 7:43the photo as an invisible entity, like you're going back
- 7:50in time. I want you to get a sense that
- 7:58you are there in the party. Nobody can see you, but you can
- 8:06see that younger version of you, and I want you to get a sense
- 8:16that that version of you felt very comfortable in their own
- 8:22skin. I want you to see how they move,
- 8:30how they walk, perhaps how they dance.
- 8:37I want you to see that version of you getting attention, maybe
- 8:46conversations, maybe flirting. But I want you to see that that
- 8:52version of you was very comfortable with that attention
- 9:00because that version of you knew that the attention didn't mean
- 9:09that they were obligated to do anything.
- 9:15I want you to see that version of you was discerning.
- 9:22That version of you knew what you liked and what you didn't.
- 9:26I want you to see that version of you with standards and
- 9:31preferences. I want you to see that version
- 9:34of you with boundaries and ways, strategies of dealing with
- 9:43undesirable, unwanted attention that simply didn't align with
- 9:51you. And if you can see that version
- 9:56of you with those qualities, let me know by nodding your head.
- 10:03That's it. And I want you to imagine how it
- 10:07would feel as that invisible entity to step into that version
- 10:15of you, to breathe the way they were breathing, to feel how they
- 10:25feel. And I want you to feel how your
- 10:32body feels being that weight again.
- 10:40I want you to feel that sense of confidence, that comfort.
- 10:50I want you to notice the kind of attention you're getting.
- 10:56And maybe it's eye contact and smiles.
- 11:01Maybe it's conversations and interactions.
- 11:07Just remember what you remember and get a sense that you feel
- 11:15comfortable with this attention and you can respond or not
- 11:23respond, interact or not interact.
- 11:29I want you to feel that you have all of the options and no
- 11:34obligations. And I want you to imagine how
- 11:42you would feel teleporting that version of you into your future
- 11:49six months from now, not six months from then, six months
- 11:57from now when you're a little bit older.
- 12:02But I want you to imagine you have the same body shape as you
- 12:06did back then, the same confidence.
- 12:11And I want you to imagine how you would feel being in the kind
- 12:16of place that it would be natural to get similar types of
- 12:22attention, maybe a different party, maybe a different place,
- 12:29maybe it's the daytime or the evening.
- 12:31But just imagine it's six months from now and you're that body
- 12:36shape. But I want you to feel just as
- 12:40comfortable, just as confident. But I want you to feel how good
- 12:46it feels to be able to choose to be in a relationship if you
- 12:54desire, but not need one. To still have those high
- 13:02standards, to be discerning, not to be immune from anything that
- 13:15can happen while dating or in a relationship, but that version
- 13:22of you in your future feels like you can handle it.
- 13:30That it isn't about you. And if you feel that you can
- 13:41handle it, you can handle the attention, that you can feel
- 13:49more comfortable with your body shape, to feel that you have
- 13:55choices without expectations or obligations, let me know by
- 13:58nodding your head. I want you to get a sense then
- 14:13your worthiness is not linked to your weight, and your worthiness
- 14:21is not linked to whether or not you're in a relationship.
- 14:29I want you to amplify the belief that is already there that your
- 14:38value is irrefutable. It is immune from any of those
- 14:48other variables. You are worthy if you are single
- 14:53or in a relationship, and you are worthy and have value at any
- 14:58weight. And the more you think about
- 15:03that, the truer it becomes. And I want you to come to a
- 15:11conclusion. You are not losing weight to be
- 15:17worthy or desirable. And you don't need to lose
- 15:23weight to be in a relationship. I want you to think of a reason
- 15:35to lose weight. That is simply because you want
- 15:40to. A reason that makes sense for
- 15:43you not to please someone else or validate anyone else, Not to
- 15:49meet a standard that isn't yours.
- 15:53And if you can think of a powerful reason that is your
- 15:58reason to make you feel good, let me know by nodding your head
- 16:03and whenever that voice start saying what's the point, you
- 16:13will think of that reason. I want you to feel that you are
- 16:19cutting a core, disconnecting any idea of weight loss and
- 16:24relationships. Consider them two separate
- 16:28things. You can be your current weight
- 16:32in a relationship or single, and you can be single and slim or
- 16:39single and your current weight. The two are no longer connected
- 16:48so now you get to lose weight for your reason and no one
- 16:53else's. Imagine it is 6 months from now
- 16:57and you are at that slimmer weight.
- 17:00I want you to think backwards as to what you did to get there.
- 17:09And maybe it was simple things that when you had a craving for
- 17:15some chocolate, you had something just as convenient,
- 17:20like a piece of fruit, like a banana.
- 17:24Or maybe if there was a desire for some starchy carbohydrates,
- 17:33you would choose to order or prepare a meal of lots of fresh
- 17:39vegetables, but cooked exactly as you like them.
- 17:46I want you to get a sense that you are not losing weight to be
- 17:52slim. You are losing weight while
- 17:58becoming slim. And some people lose weight to
- 18:04become happy while others happily lose weight.
- 18:12I want you to get a sense that all of the hassle, all of the
- 18:17struggle linked to choices related to weight whenever real,
- 18:25just perceptions. And you are forming new
- 18:28perceptions that the most convenient foods are natural
- 18:34foods. That if you prepare foods when
- 18:41you have time, then you can eat them when you're busy.
- 18:49There are healthy foods that are delicious and healthy foods that
- 18:53are disgusting, and there are unhealthy foods that are
- 18:59delicious and unhealthy foods that are disgusting.
- 19:07So given that there are so many different foods in the world,
- 19:11doesn't it make sense to have those delicious foods that are
- 19:15also healthy, also help you to lose weight and enjoy the
- 19:23process? You don't have to lose weight to
- 19:29be worthy. You're already worthy.
- 19:33You don't have to lose weight to be desirable.
- 19:37You are already desirable. I want you to get a sense you're
- 19:43just losing weight for your reason and your reason only.
- 19:50And the more you do those simple, pleasurable, regular
- 19:56things to lose weight, the easier it becomes.
- 20:04Becomes automatic, effortless. What once was a challenge gets
- 20:10easier and easier the more that you do it.
- 20:17And I want you to feel that with these habits of the past, you
- 20:26are voting on the kind of future you want for yourself.
- 20:32The unhealthy habits will keep your future similar to your
- 20:37present, but every time you make a change, you are changing the
- 20:45future version of you. You are becoming closer to the
- 20:52version of you that you want to be for your reasons and your
- 20:58reasons alone. And I want you to feel that two
- 21:03big blocks that have been impeding your progress are now
- 21:09melting away. Where there was resistance
- 21:15before will now feel easier. And what previously felt like a
- 21:21struggle will now feel more manageable.
- 21:27And this journey doesn't have to be easy, it just has to be
- 21:35important and worthwhile for you.
- 21:40So if your unconscious believes that it is important, it is
- 21:46worthwhile. Let me know.
- 21:48By nodding your head and in doing so, you are unlocking all
- 21:59of the resources to steer your life toward that future.
- 22:07And whether it's six months or 12 months from now, you will
- 22:11feel like you're making steady progress.
- 22:17Like a snowball, it may require effort to begin with, but it
- 22:23reaches a point where it starts rolling in that same direction
- 22:28all by itself. Maybe that takes a few weeks or
- 22:35a few months, but sooner or later, these healthy habits
- 22:41become automatic, effortless, and losing weight becomes a side
- 22:46effect, a natural reaction to these healthy habits that you've
- 22:53formed. So even in busy, stressful
- 22:58periods, you continue to maintain those healthy habits.
- 23:08It's time to leave this place in your imagination but taking all
- 23:11of these new thoughts, beliefs, and ideas with you.
- 23:16So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 23:20nose. Just wiggle your fingers and
- 23:23wiggle your toes. That's it.
- 23:24Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 23:28from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 23:33Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8.
- 23:41Open your eyes. Open your eyes, 910.
- 23:44Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
