- 3:56SPEAKER_00: All right, uh, jumping into the show, Neil Mathweg's with us.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: He is uh we you'll hear me affectionately refer to him as the godfather of the snap pack.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Back on his onion juice podcast at the time, it was like episode 20 or 30 or something, like back in the day.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: This was like three years ago, four years ago.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: I'm a realtor, I can't do math.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Uh, but he had a few of us on who were using Snapchat, and the the term snap the Snap Pack was was coined.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: And and ever since then it led to the Snappack real estate marketing Facebook group.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: And if you're not a member of that and you're an agent, you really should be a member of that.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: It's just a great group of like-minded agents.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Or if you're looking for another Facebook group that does not have all the the drama and the high and mighty bullshit uh that nine out of ten other industry groups do, you should be joining the snap pack.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: So uh let's bring let's bring Neil on and sh I mean this guy does so many local events for for his I Love Madison brand, for his real estate company.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Uh he he's and he's doing one that you'll hear about in October um that I'm gonna be speaking at actually.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: So he is when I when I'm thinking, okay, what haven't I talked about on the show?
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: And events was one of them, being that I I'm going to Inman this week, or when you're listening to this, I'm at Inman, and Neil's doing one in October.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: There's no one better to talk about local events.
- 5:13SPEAKER_00: So this could open your eyes to some new ways of getting business, growing your brand, but just no, just no going into it.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: It's not a quick fix.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: It's not a quick fix.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: It's gonna take a little bit of work, but this will focus you on doing specific things long enough to win.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: I think you'll be surprised it's not gonna take as long as you might think.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: What's up, guys?
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: I'm here today with Neil Mathweg, as I affectionately call the Godfather, the godfather of the Snappack.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: He is the host of the Agent Rise podcast and founder of the Agent Rise coaching program.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: And he just released a few days ago episode 200 of his Agent Rise podcast, which is incredible.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: If you guys uh maybe you know it by its former name, the Onion Juice Podcast.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Uh, I I've been a guest a few times on his show.
- 5:59SPEAKER_00: I've had that honor.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: And Neil, you, my friend, have the honor of being the first repeat guest on the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Welcome.
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: That's big.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: That is big.
- 6:09SPEAKER_01: And I I can't believe Fraser didn't get that before me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, see, I I want the show to actually do well and and to grow and uh and not go down in flames.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: So so there's some strategy.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 6:22SPEAKER_00: And to why he hasn't been.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: That's great.
- 6:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: So, anyways, about about Fraser and uh what a terrible human being he is.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: Let's just let's just start with that.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: I'm still laughing about the agent 21 or uh 2061 photo from that was on the Snappack.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: That just cracked me up.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Oh, you with with the face app.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: You guys are listening.
- 6:48SPEAKER_01: Oh, absolutely.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Dude, uh, it's so funny because uh when I did the the face app of my um my profile photo, the one that I have everywhere, of me, you know, looking all cool sitting on a bench.
- 6:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Um or when you make the background transparent, it's like I'm squatting in the air.
- 7:04SPEAKER_00: It's very interesting.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: And Housing Wire actually published that for a minute.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: It looked like me just squatting and uh and pooping all down their down their article naturally.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: Anyways, uh so I used the face app on my profile photo, and people kept saying I looked like Kevin Costner.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And I'd never heard that before.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: My my wife saw it, she's like, Oh my god, yeah, you look like Kevin Costner.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: I'll take it.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: He's he's a handsome dude.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: I mean, if you could age into that, that'd you'd be all right.
- 7:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 7:39SPEAKER_00: Neil, man, thank thank you so much for being on the show.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And the reason I wanted to have you on today, first off, kudos for episode 200.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: That I mean, this is episode 83.
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: It takes insane commitment and consistency.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: And I know, because this happens to me, you have those days, you have those weeks where you just do not want to deal with it.
- 7:58SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh, I just don't want to freaking do it.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: And but you do it anyways, consistently.
- 8:04SPEAKER_00: And so, congratulations on that.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: That that's definitely a testament to you and your your work ethic and determination.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: And uh, you know, I know why you do the show, and and so I I think it's awesome that you, you know, you keep putting out such great content for our industry.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: I wanted to have you on to talk about doing local events, talk about how agents and loan officers can can be doing local events themselves and how to put it on, how to organize it, what to focus on, what is important, what isn't important.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: So, how can the average real estate agent or loan officer start organizing their own local events to grow their business, to get more buyers, to get more sellers, or just take care of their clients?
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: What are you seeing that's working?
- 8:47SPEAKER_00: And what are some of the first steps that someone should take if they want to explore doing their own event?
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I the first thing, and this is gonna be your first takeaway, that you should go implement right away, and that is meetups.
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: And we started uh I Love Madison meetup.
- 9:04SPEAKER_01: Our team name is I Love Madison Home Team.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: We have the I Love Madison show, and then based off of that, we started the I Love Madison uh meetups.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: And we've got our we've got another one this Thursday.
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: We've got over 100 people RSVP'd for it.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: We do it at the AC Hotel, the same hotel that we're gonna be doing the Agent Rice Summit at.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: And uh we do it on the first floor, and it's a uh it's it's free.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: Come, come, anybody can come.
- 9:30SPEAKER_01: Uh there is a no agenda, it is just cool people hanging out.
- 9:35SPEAKER_01: It is uh got we we have a uh grocery store, Metcalf's Market, that sponsors us, and they lay out this amazing food spread.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: Uh, and then we have, and you don't need food.
- 9:47SPEAKER_01: We we did our first one without, uh, but now we've got the sponsorship with Metcalf's, they lay out uh a nice food spread, uh, and then it's a cash bar, and we just you know, it's from five to eight, and we'll have over a hundred people show up.
- 9:59SPEAKER_01: We do uh a toast at six, and then we do a photo after the toast.
- 10:04SPEAKER_01: So we do a big group photo of everyone, and then uh and it's just you know, there's no agenda, and it's just cool people hanging out.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: We meet tons of people, and it it just it works.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: It's so easy to set up.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: And for so long I complicated it where I was trying to do too much, and and and somebody, a friend of mine just said, You're you're being an idiot.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: Like you're you're you're making this more difficult than it needs to be.
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Just call a place, set it up, advertise it, and see who shows up.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: And the first one we had 30, the second one we had 60, and now we're up over 100.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: And and and and again, it's no cost to me.
- 10:40SPEAKER_01: And I put it in my newsletter, I put it in on Facebook, we do a vlog for it, so we advertise it afterwards, um, and and that helps us fill it up for the next time.
- 10:50SPEAKER_01: Um, and but we just keep it super simple.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And that's that's the first takeaway right there.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: I love that because I feel like this this feeling that so much of us have, and we see with open houses, you feel like you have to have this big spread, uh, you know, like Thanksgiving dinner is is waiting for people when they step into your open house.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: But usually just cookies, bottled water, you know, something simple.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Um so I like that you're giving giving people permission right now to not pay for food, to not have this big catered thing, to not have uh, you know, a thousand dollar expense just to do your first your first event.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: So that's big.
- 11:28SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: And well how we promote it too is we we say that you know one of one of our goals as as real estate agents is to help people live their best life in Madison.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: It starts with their home, but it goes way beyond that.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And so one of in in today's world, we're the most connected online, we're the most connected we've ever been, and because of online, but we are the least connected in in human race, right?
- 11:56SPEAKER_01: And so we're connected online, but we have a hard time getting connected offline.
- 12:01SPEAKER_01: And this does that.
- 12:02SPEAKER_01: This brings people together with no agenda, it's not a business networking event.
- 12:07SPEAKER_01: We have people that have come looking for love.
- 12:09SPEAKER_01: We've had people that are coming and looking for business.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: We even had a homeless man join us last time, and I thought it was the best thing ever.
- 12:17SPEAKER_01: He got in the middle of the photo, it was it was it was great, and and it was like anybody can come, and that's and you never know what's gonna happen when you do that.
- 12:26SPEAKER_01: And I know relationships beyond relationships are happening all because of us starting this meetup.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: And so when you're when you're first promoting it, how are you promoting it?
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Like what's the what's the draw to get people to come?
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, because not everyone is as uh is is such a big personality like the godfather of the snap pack, like you are now.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: It really just starts with storytelling.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: It starts with doing a Facebook post that says, I have an idea.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: Would anybody else come to this if I started it?
- 13:00SPEAKER_01: And and if you get 10 people that say, Yeah, I'd be there, you start with those 10 people.
- 13:06SPEAKER_01: And and then it then you go to LinkedIn, you do the same thing on LinkedIn, then you talk about it in your Instagram stories, you talk about it on on every social media platform that you can you can talk about it on.
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: Then when you you get the tribe that says, yes, I would do this if you did it, then you do it, right?
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: And then you put the post out there that says, hey, this next Thursday, we're doing our first meetup.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: Everybody wants to join.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: You know, I had eight of you say that you want to come.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Here you go.
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: Eight, we're gonna do this.
- 13:34SPEAKER_01: Let's see what happens.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: And then you get those eight people or those ten people, whoever said yes, you get them to share it, you get them to promote it, you get them to be involved, and then you you grow it from there.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: So all you have to do is storytell.
- 13:47SPEAKER_01: You just have to say, I have an idea because I feel like you got to have your why.
- 13:52SPEAKER_01: Your why, your aha moment type thing is that we're the most connected we've ever been online, but we're not connected.
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: There's people are lonely out there, and so I want to do something about that.
- 14:05SPEAKER_01: I love the city and I love getting people together.
- 14:08SPEAKER_01: And so we're gonna do our first meetup.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: Who's in?
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: I like that approach because I know what that's like.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: What when we first did the the Park City mastermind, the real estate marketing mastermind a few years ago, the big thing was meeting people in person that you've built a relationship with online and we're friends with online.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Let's go do it in person.
- 14:26SPEAKER_00: And and and that was that brought everyone across the country to Park City, and you're doing basically the same thing locally.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: So are you it sounds like you rather than doing like a first-time home buyer seminar or trying to advertise to people that don't know you, you recommend at least in the beginning, just do meetups of people that you already know that are already part of your sphere, just get them in person in one central location and have fun, right?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: And then and I think I think from there you you know, like if we were to talk about the uh first-time homebuyer seminars, right?
- 15:05SPEAKER_01: Let's just go there for a second.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: To me, that is something that should just be done online.
- 15:11SPEAKER_01: People don't like to get together, um, especially to get together to talk about homebuying.
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: And so to me, it's it's like you could do you could you could do those in person, you could do those online, but you could also just form a group, a first-time homebuying group, that would have all of that same information inside of that group.
- 15:31SPEAKER_01: And um and and so like I try to keep the real estate out of it.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: I just try to bring so that there's not an agenda.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: And and the people that come to the meetup, what I hear so much is they love how laid back it is, they love how there's no agenda, they love how they can show up at any time and they're gonna have a great conversation with somebody, and they love that they never know what to expect, they never know who's gonna be there, and and but they just feel comfortable showing up.
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: And so that that sense of um offering how comfortable it is with no agenda and being laid back is the draw.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: And so, removing that draw, you're gonna get three people to show up to your home buyer webinar, right?
- 16:14SPEAKER_01: Or your home buyer seminar, right?
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: And so I I wanna I wanna remove it goes back to that whole cheese and whiskers concept, right?
- 16:22SPEAKER_01: So, you know, the mic what cheese and whiskers concept.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: So so you make it sound like everyone knows the cheese and whiskers concept.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: I don't know the cheese and whiskers concept.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: Um, but I'm about to get educated, so I'm excited about this.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: So so consumers are just like mice.
- 16:38SPEAKER_01: They do one of two things all day.
- 16:40SPEAKER_01: Mice either look for cheese or they run from whiskers of a cat.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: And consumers are the same way.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: They're looking for cheese, they're looking for value, they're looking for a place that's comfortable, they're looking for a place to belong, they want to be there.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: But as soon as there's a sales pitch that goes with it, they go the other way.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: So the sales pitch is the whiskers, right?
- 17:00SPEAKER_01: And so so bringing people together is is you have to remove all of the whiskers.
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: And you have to provide nothing but cheese for them.
- 17:09SPEAKER_01: And and we do provide here in Wisconsin, we do provide amazing cheese.
- 17:14SPEAKER_01: And so it it you know it's a good idea.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Naturally, naturally, right, right.
- 17:18SPEAKER_01: It draws people in, and and and if you can remove the sales pitch, um that's what that's what forms the community.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: And I'm telling you, man, over the I mean, I added 200 new people to my database last year, all from the Isle of Madison meetups.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: So it it's yeah, it's like the number of people that I'm meeting in my community and where it's taking me and the opportunities it's giving me is is phenomenal.
- 17:43SPEAKER_01: Um, as far as sales go, like what is this driving to our bottom line?
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: Not much yet.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Um we we you know we're working with a few buyers that we've met from the meetups and stuff like that.
- 17:54SPEAKER_01: Um, but but I know that that's just this is just the beginning.
- 17:57SPEAKER_01: It's gonna take time.
- 17:58SPEAKER_01: Um, and you know, and I you know, last year we didn't sell any houses from it.
- 18:03SPEAKER_01: I think this year we'll sell three to five.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: Next year I bet you five to ten.
- 18:06SPEAKER_01: And from there, I think it'll be fifteen to twenty a year if we keep doing what we're doing and the relationships that we're building.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: That sounds right to me.
- 18:15SPEAKER_00: And what I love about what you're saying and and how you recommend people set this up and and you know how to promote it.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: It's it's the same thing that I talk about all the time till I'm blue in the face.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Stop fricking talking about real estate all the time.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: Start talking about the community.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: Just be a human being, show your personality, talk, you know, be the local expert by showing off the community and and cool stuff going on within it.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: And naturally, people know that you are a real estate agent, and when they are ready, they'll hire you or they'll recommend you to someone, someone else that they know who is ready.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: And and that's how you get a much wider uh network and people actually being interested.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: So I love that.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: It's just you're doing you're doing everything we talk about with, you know, becoming a uh media company that happens to sell real estate.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: The same concept behind that, you're just doing it locally with an event where you don't make it about Neil the realtor and you know, come meet Neil the realtor where I'm gonna have my lender passing out flyers to everybody.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: You're just like, hey, let's you know, come meet some other like-minded people within the community and let's have fun.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Yep, that's it.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: And then we document it, you know, we we we got the video cameras rolling the whole time and we're we're documented, we put a vlog together and we promote, you know, the vlog.
- 19:31SPEAKER_01: We promote the photo that we take.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: So right after right after the meetup, we post the photo and tag everybody that was in it, and uh, and then that kind of helps spread the social word and then conversation gets going, like, oh, love talking with you last night, or you know, whatever else gets the comments going, and then uh and then we just rinse and repeat and we do it again, you know, two, three months later.
- 19:53SPEAKER_01: We're gonna get more uh we're gonna up the frequency with it now, um, where we were a little afraid to up the frequency before because we didn't want it to become um I I guess too frequent.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: And so so we wanted to we wanted to keep it like probably every three months, and now we're gonna go uh every other month or maybe even even every month and have it like the third Thursday of every month.
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: See, by doing by being consistent with it like that, and you make it fun, and I love I love how you have the photos and the video and and you you make that fun.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: People love sharing photos and videos that they are in when when they're at events, like at weddings, at parties, at whatever, you know, like photo booth stuff.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: People love sharing that and it prov it promotes the event.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: And it it when people start sharing it, then they uh you know it gives a perception that hey, there's fun going on here.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: So then the next time you do it, people more people want to join and it snowballs.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I I assume you're you're right there where you're feeling that snowball effect happen.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: Um are you trying to switch it up at all so each each one's different, or is it are you just still laser focused on just come meet cool people?
- 21:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, just come meet cool people, and and it's really you know, staying true to what what why we started it, right?
- 21:08SPEAKER_01: Like staying true to that and and letting it's it's so cool to see now where when we put the announcement out that the next meetup is coming, how how others will tag others in it.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, I went to this last time, it was great.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: John, I think you'd love this as well.
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: Um, and they they start tagging people in the posts.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Um and and they are I mean we we are at capacity every time.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: Like the the tickets just go flying and then and we sell out, and then we gotta have a waiting list of of of our SVPs.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: So we always just tell people to come anyways because it it just works that way.
- 21:45SPEAKER_01: But um but it's like it's it's so um it just keeps growing and it just keeps becoming i because because we're s we're true to it, right?
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: And we can't we we just don't want to ruin it at this point.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: You know, for sure.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: I like that.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: And then it's easier to keep doing when you don't have to keep doing extra work and and create new uh new stuff, like new promotional materials, and like you know, you're keeping it simple, which which not only like helps it grow and and people want to look if you if you've done something that's fun and then you do something completely different, it's harder to get people to want to come because they wanted to go to the one that was fun, that they already know is fun.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: So I love that.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Uh what are you doing to promote when you when you're doing one of these?
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: I know you you said you do a post just to gauge interest.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: What else do you do specifically, some tactics to promote these events?
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, we do one video.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Caleb and I go to the AC Hotel.
- 22:47SPEAKER_01: Caleb's my co-host of the Isle of Madison show, and we just record a video kind of in selfie mode and kind of in vlog format, just saying, hey, the next meetups happen in July 25th, uh, 5 to 8.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: And uh we're, you know, again, right here at the AC Hotel, and we do some B-roll of the AC Hotel, and uh, you know, the link is below to sign up.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: It's a one-minute 130 video, something like that.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: Uh, we post that on on our Facebook page on our on all of the different pages.
- 23:16SPEAKER_01: Uh we will uh create a Facebook ad or Facebook event.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: We'll also create an Everbrite event, and that's what we use for the RSVPs for the tickets.
- 23:27SPEAKER_01: And uh, and then we do a lot on LinkedIn.
- 23:30SPEAKER_01: I mean, just kind of repurpose everything for LinkedIn.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Um, we have a really good LinkedIn following going here, and and so a lot of a lot of my lot of the community that comes comes from LinkedIn.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: I would say probably 60% of the people come from LinkedIn.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: I don't know that for clear, but I mean just knowing knowing my followers on LinkedIn and and those that R SVP, um, I'd say it's around 60%.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Um, in fact, the first one that we ever did, we didn't even advertise it on Facebook.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: We did it all on LinkedIn.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: And then afterwards, we're like, why did we do that?
- 24:04SPEAKER_01: Like, what why are we promoting this on Facebook?
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: Um, so um, but now you know now we do it on both.
- 24:11SPEAKER_01: And then um and then the other thing that happens too is the the when we do that video, when we do the the blog video from the event, that will get so many people that will say, Hey, I want to know about the next one.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: And so then we created an email list, and now we've got a uh a growing email list that we send out emails to um and and announce the next meetup, and then we we kind of we have an email campaign, you know, a three or four email drip campaign to go to those people.
- 24:43SPEAKER_00: Cool.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Um what are for someone who's never done an event, what would you what are some of those misconceptions that hold people back from doing them?
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: And what are what's in what's important that they know that you haven't already mentioned, and what isn't important that you haven't already mentioned?
- 25:00SPEAKER_01: So I think I think with this meetups right here, you you you know, you notice that it's it's laid back, it's easy, there's no money involved, it's it's really simple.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: But if you're gonna do client events, and I think that's what the listener might be thinking here, too, is like the meetup is one idea, but how do I do client events?
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: Because you know, I I hear that client events works well for a business, and and in my coaching program, we it's it's step number seven in building the business is to uh we do sphere of influence 2.0, and in that we talk about doing client events.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: And I I strongly encourage my students to do four client events a year.
- 25:35SPEAKER_01: And with that, there are the two biggest fears that come from doing client events is that nobody's gonna show up and that it's gonna cost me too much money.
- 25:45SPEAKER_01: And so we always have that fear whenever we do a client event, and the way to overcome that is to partner with others and to co-op your event.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: And the company that I was the CEO of for the last four years before I got back into sales and started the Island Madison home team and the and the Neil Mathwick Coaching Company was that we we formed this co-op between other agents in the company.
- 26:13SPEAKER_01: And at one time we had 12 other agents that were all doing a big summer event together.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: We called it Summer Jam.
- 26:21SPEAKER_01: And so that that model works so well.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: And if you're in a company that is active and you have other agents in your company that you could go to and say, hey, let's put on a summer party together, our all of our first event ever, and let's all invite our clients and let's all share the cost, then you're you're you're knocking down both of those dominoes, right?
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: You're you're co-oping, you're gonna divide the expenses, and you're co-oping, and if your five people show up, and the three other agents that you're co-oping all have five or ten people show up, now you've got 15 to 50 people, right, that are there, and your five people don't know that those other people are not yours, right?
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: So when they show up and there's 50 people there, they're like, wow, this is great.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Um, and and they have no idea that these clients aren't yours.
- 27:13SPEAKER_01: And so, and also you're not gonna get stuck with a big bill.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: If you've got you know three or four other agents that you're sharing this with, and the bill is a thousand dollars, well, you you know, you each pitch in 250 and you got it done.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: Um, and so so it's just it's it's uh you know that that's how you can overcome that.
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: And then and then there's a list of different events that you can do.
- 27:36SPEAKER_01: And for me, what works best, what we focus on in our events, is to do stuff that people are already doing.
- 27:44SPEAKER_01: So if they're already gonna go to a baseball game, do the baseball game.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: If they're already gonna go to the latest, greatest movie that just came out, do a movie event.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: So meet them where they're already going and what they're already doing, and and and meet them there.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: And that's the best way to find what works.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Um last year we we did, or earlier this year, uh, we did a house concert, and it went over great.
- 28:12SPEAKER_01: We had about 50 people show up.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: We Airbnb'd a really nice house, and we had a musician from the Twin Cities come down, he's an amazing, awesome storyteller.
- 28:22SPEAKER_01: Make sure you get a storyteller.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: Um and he he told awesome stories around his songs, and people were laughing and crying, and it was it was amazing.
- 28:31SPEAKER_01: And then we gave them all a couple of CDs and a gift basket uh a little gift bag on the way out, and uh it went over great.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: Um and so now we're gonna do we're gonna do four of those a year.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: We're gonna do I Love Madison concert series uh where we get different musicians.
- 28:48SPEAKER_01: Some of them are gonna be house concerts, some of them are gonna be barn concerts, um, some of them are gonna be countryside, just depending on like the time of the year and what we can what we can get set up.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: But we're gonna focus on these concerts because it's um when you bring people together around music and they get inspired by the music and get emotional about the music, and then you send them home with a CD, every time they listen to that music, they're gonna think of you.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: And so if if we hit on that emotion and bring them together for a great exclusive event, um, I think we're gonna we're gonna it just it just it just helps solidify our relationships with these people.
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: And uh and it goes back to our our original why, which is you know, we want to help people live their best life in Madison.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: And I feel like music is is a part of that.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: And who doesn't love going to a free concert in you know when the weather's nice, you can bring the family, have a little picnic, and and just meet other cool people?
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 29:51SPEAKER_00: Uh last question though.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: So going back to uh I know that some people listening, they heard you recommend doing an event with other agents and they they freaked out.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: The fear got to them.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: They're like, well, wait a minute, I I can't invite my clients because then what if what if the other agent takes them?
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: What if they like the other agents more than me and I lose my client?
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: Or so and so uh says, hey, you gotta work with my agent, not not that schmuck.
- 30:16SPEAKER_00: Um what do you say to the people that are worried about about that dynamic?
- 30:22SPEAKER_01: You need to you need to change your mindset.
- 30:25SPEAKER_01: You need to you need to believe in abundance and and you've got a fixed mindset, and with that fixed mindset, you're you're not gonna grow.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: And so you need to let go of that and and just just trust that it's all gonna work out and that you're going to, you know, you're you're gonna win some and lose some, but there's so much out there to go around, and you're not a one agent or not a one client agent.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Um, you need to have a lot of clients, and a way to do that is to continue to grow raving fans that are gonna continue to bring people to you.
- 31:02SPEAKER_01: And uh and so just just focus on your client count.
- 31:06SPEAKER_01: Don't worry about uh, you know, if you if you if if that were to happen, that would be horrible.
- 31:12SPEAKER_01: Um, but just believe that it's not going to and that it's all gonna work out if it does.
- 31:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, it's gonna hold you back, and then nothing good will happen if you don't do an event at all, or you do one and three people show up, or you could have 35, you know, just I agree.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: Just freaking get over it.
- 31:30SPEAKER_00: Uh, sure, might happen.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Probably won't.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: But you know, abundance.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: There's a million other clients out there.
- 31:36SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 31:37SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: The other thing, too, that comes from this is you know, you're gonna invite, let's say you've got a database of 100 people.
- 31:44SPEAKER_01: All right, let's just keep let's keep it simple.
- 31:45SPEAKER_01: So you got 100 people in your database, you're gonna invite 100, about 10 of those are gonna show up.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: Um, 10 households, so maybe 20 total, all right.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: So about 10% are gonna respond, which is which is about great.
- 31:59SPEAKER_01: It's great because if all 100 of them responded, you'd have a very expensive event.
- 32:03SPEAKER_01: So you're gonna, it's great that 10 of them show up.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: You're gonna keep your cost within reason.
- 32:09SPEAKER_01: And then the other benefit that comes from all of this is you had great touch points with those hundred households.
- 32:17SPEAKER_01: So you you if you did if you did it right, you would have mailed to them twice, you would have called or texted them, and maybe you would have had a conversation that you otherwise wouldn't have otherwise had with them, right?
- 32:29SPEAKER_01: And so by having those um by having those events, it gives you a reason to call them when you have no reason to call them at all.
- 32:38SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 32:39SPEAKER_01: And so there's so much fruit that comes from having events.
- 32:43SPEAKER_01: It's not just about the people that show up to them, it's about you being in touch with your sphere of influence.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Every time I've done an event, a client appreciation event, uh, people show up, and when you meet them in person or when you see them again in person, they're like, hey, you know, I've been meaning to talk to you.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: We're actually thinking about you know, selling our place, or we're actually thinking about buying a rental property or whatever.
- 33:05SPEAKER_00: And it's amazing what just a face-to-face interaction will inspire to happen.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: And it just every time I've done it, that happens with at least one client.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: And had I not done the event, maybe maybe they would have reached out, maybe not.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Uh I don't know, but that's all I know.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: So I can do it.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: Yep, yep, yep.
- 33:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they're they're powerful.
- 33:28SPEAKER_01: And if you get them in a routine too, or you do, you know, one a quarter and you come up with some different seasonal ones, uh, you know, different different times of year, you know, you can do it, you can do Easter egg hunt, you can do uh pumpkin patch, you can do Christmas tree farm, you can do family photos, fall family photos, you know, there's just a list of different events that you can do.
- 33:50SPEAKER_01: Um and if you if you put them on a calendar and just do them quarterly, uh that's that's the trick.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: And you just gotta you gotta focus on them.
- 33:57SPEAKER_01: Um and because like for us, we kind of got derailed this year because we had some new ideas, and now we're busy trying to implement those new ideas and where we should have just stuck to our calendar.
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: So speaking of events, you are organizing a big event in October.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: This is your chance to plug the big event happening in October up in Madison, Wisconsin.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Plug the shit out of it, my friend.
- 34:22SPEAKER_01: So Agent Rise Summit is gonna happen October 24th and 25th in Madison.
- 34:27SPEAKER_01: Everybody will arrive on the 23rd.
- 34:29SPEAKER_01: We'll have a reception party that night, and then the 24th and 25th will be packed full of amazing content.
- 34:36SPEAKER_01: And uh, you know, you'll you can come there and we'll be talking about events and learning a lot more than what we're gonna share on the on the show today, but uh, because we only got a little bit of time to share it.
- 34:46SPEAKER_01: But there's there's so much that we've done with our local events that have really helped grow our real estate team.
- 34:52SPEAKER_01: And you know, we're gonna be talking about that, and I want agents to come and get a have a clear plan when they leave.
- 34:58SPEAKER_01: And I I truly believe in that agents need to have a clear plan that's congruent to them and then stay consistent with that plan.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: And that's what we're gonna focus on in the summit is is bringing clarity to your business.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: Uh, we're gonna have a lot of ideas, a lot of shiny objects, and a lot of uh you know new things that we're doing and that are working.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Um, but we want you to leave with that clear plan.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: So um it's gonna be an opportunity for that.
- 35:23SPEAKER_01: It's also gonna be an opportunity that's gonna remind up me of when we went to Salt Lake or Park City, and we were together in this beautiful mountainside home for for two days, and and like family was other people.
- 35:39SPEAKER_00: It wasn't just us, Neil.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: It wasn't just you and me.
- 35:42SPEAKER_01: 22 or 23 of us.
- 35:44SPEAKER_00: Yes, you made it sound very romantic, but there were others.
- 35:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 35:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, Rome and I on a never mind, let's move on.
- 35:53SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, it was it was uh it was a it was a time where like you know, it felt like we were getting together with college buddies, you know, like it was it was so cool because you you know you know everybody online and then you get to meet them in person for the first time, and then you get to mastermind with them, and you I left with like renewed hope for my business.
- 36:15SPEAKER_01: I left with um you know a lot of ideas, a lot of things that I need to do, and and and and I left with clarity.
- 36:21SPEAKER_01: And I feel like that was we hit the mark there, and I really want to have that happen again, and I want more to experience it.
- 36:29SPEAKER_01: And so that's that's the reason why I'm putting on the summit.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: It's a dream of mine for you know five years now.
- 36:34SPEAKER_01: I've dreamed of of putting on something like this, and uh, it's finally happening.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: So you you need to you need to get your ticket, you need to get to Madison, Wisconsin.
- 36:43SPEAKER_01: Fall is absolutely gorgeous here in Madison in the fall, and I've got um a spot, the hotel is downtown Madison overlooking the Capitol.
- 36:52SPEAKER_01: It's absolutely gorgeous, and we're gonna be on the top floor, uh, so it's gonna have that summit feel to it.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: And yeah, I just can't, I cannot wait.
- 37:01SPEAKER_01: So uh go to neilmatwick coaching.com slash summit to get your tickets.
- 37:07SPEAKER_00: Awesome.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: And I saw the photo of the hotel, like of the venue on that website, and I was like, oh my god, because your state capital's right there.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: And it's so cool.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: I've never been to Madison before, super excited, and just I'm happy to announce I will be there.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: I will be at the Agent Rise Summit, I'll be speaking on something, whatever Neil's like, eh, we'll throw him a bone and let him talk about you know my space or something.
- 37:33SPEAKER_00: So I'll do that.
- 37:35SPEAKER_00: But uh I'm I'm proud to be part of it because uh I know how impactful that that mastermind we we did in Park City was, not just on us, the organizers, but everyone who came.
- 37:46SPEAKER_00: Like it having an intimate group is so much more powerful than uh you know 4,000 plus people at Inman or you know NAR or some of these major conferences.
- 37:58SPEAKER_00: It it's all about the people you meet and being able to just talk shop and build relationships.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: And so uh how many people uh how many how many tickets are there even?
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: We've got room for 50, and that's that's capacity of the room, so we can't go beyond that.
- 38:12SPEAKER_00: And there's less than that now, right?
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yes, definitely.
- 38:15SPEAKER_00: Yep, yep.
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: So so hop on it, peeps.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: Hop on it.
- 38:18SPEAKER_00: I'll be there in October, super stoked.
- 38:20SPEAKER_00: Uh, I mean, outside of Inman and Housing Wires conferences, uh this is this is something I'd absolutely do if you really want to spend spend time sitting down with myself, Jason Frazier, Neil Mathweg, uh, you know, some other amazing speakers that are going to be there as well, and and we can just talk shop and help you personal, you know, personalizing uh our conversations with you to help you accomplish what you're trying to do.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: And that's what I loved about Salt Lake was like when we, you know, it was like, hey, this is what I'm this is what my challenge is, this is what I'm working on.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: How would you, you know, based off of what we learned today, how would you implement that?
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 39:00SPEAKER_01: Like that's something that you can't do at Invent.
- 39:03SPEAKER_01: Like you get you get all those notes, you get everything, and then you go back and you try to figure it out all on your own.
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: And what we want is like figure it out now, figure it out at the summit, and let's go back with a clear plan and ready to execute.
- 39:15SPEAKER_01: And uh yeah, and again, you don't get that when you're at this mega conference.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: You get it when you're you're amongst your your peeps and amongst the mastermind.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: For sure.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm excited for it.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: All right, Neil.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: So to wrap up the show, every time we have a guest on, uh, and I don't think we did this the first time you were on the show, so this this may be new to you.
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: I'm a little nervous, I ain't gonna lie.
- 39:36SPEAKER_00: Well, you should be because it's very intimidating and um lots of gotcha questions thrown in here for sure.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: Um my goal is to become the CNN of the real estate industry.
- 39:48SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: So just some either-or questions uh to let people get to know you a little bit.
- 39:56SPEAKER_00: And I don't remember what I said last time.
- 39:58SPEAKER_00: Um so yeah, these so these rapid fire questions are just to let people get to know you a little bit better.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: They're either or, pick one or the other.
- 40:06SPEAKER_00: You don't need to expand on the answer, just uh pick one or the other, and it's kind of fun.
- 40:11SPEAKER_00: So, and and jokes aside, no gotcha questions.
- 40:15SPEAKER_00: Um, unless I think of one.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: If I think of a good one, then you're in trouble.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 40:20SPEAKER_01: The hot seat.
- 40:21SPEAKER_00: Here we go.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: Uh Facebook or Instagram?
- 40:26SPEAKER_01: Facebook.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: Instagram or Snapchat?
- 40:29SPEAKER_01: Instagram.
- 40:31SPEAKER_00: Book or podcast.
- 40:33SPEAKER_01: Podcast.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah, of course.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: iPhone or Android.
- 40:37SPEAKER_01: iPhone.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: Love it.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: That is correct.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: Alexa or Google Home.
- 40:43SPEAKER_01: I don't use either one.
- 40:45SPEAKER_00: I thought you had a flash briefing.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: No?
- 40:47SPEAKER_01: I stopped because nobody was listening.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: I see.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: I see.
- 40:51SPEAKER_00: So let's talk about how you qu you regularly quit uh quit at life, Neil.
- 40:56SPEAKER_00: There's the gotcha question.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: No, I'm just kidding.
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: How do you quit at life?
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: A flash briefing's a totally different beast.
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's a lot, a lot harder to grow an audience with a flash briefing.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 41:06SPEAKER_01: And that's what I just felt like.
- 41:08SPEAKER_01: It was like uh when I I wanted to launch the flash briefing and I wanted to launch a YouTube channel, and and so I'm like, well, I'll just do both of them because I couldn't decide.
- 41:17SPEAKER_01: And um, and so I I decided to drop the flash briefing and go all in on the YouTube channel.
- 41:23SPEAKER_01: Love it.
- 41:24SPEAKER_01: Can't fault you for that.
- 41:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Burgers or pizza?
- 41:28SPEAKER_01: Oh my.
- 41:29SPEAKER_01: I gotta go burgers.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: New York or LA.
- 41:34SPEAKER_01: Never been to either one, but I really want to go to New York, so it's gotta be New York.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: What you've never been to New York or LA?
- 41:40SPEAKER_01: No, dude, I'm a Midwest boy.
- 41:42SPEAKER_01: I don't get out much.
- 41:43SPEAKER_01: I I gotta get on it.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: Seriously?
- 41:46SPEAKER_00: Well, I didn't go to New York.
- 41:47SPEAKER_00: Uh my first time in New York City was what, 2017?
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, uh was it May?
- 41:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, May of 2017, or was it 18?
- 41:55SPEAKER_00: Maybe it was 2018 for uh Gary Vee's VoiceCon.
- 41:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 41:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was last year.
- 42:00SPEAKER_00: So shit, dude.
- 42:02SPEAKER_00: Wow, a lot's happened since uh been back twice since, but uh New York, man.
- 42:09SPEAKER_00: Love that city.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: I know, I want to get there.
- 42:12SPEAKER_00: We'll get you there.
- 42:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: The twins or the brewers?
- 42:17SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, baby.
- 42:18SPEAKER_01: Brew crew all the way.
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, wait, the twins aren't even in Wisconsin, are they?
- 42:23SPEAKER_01: No, they're in Minnesota, and and really it's like we we kind of like Minnesota too, because they're in they're in the AL and we're in the NL.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: But if it would have been like the question would have been like brewers or Cubs, oh that would throw you off the rails.
- 42:38SPEAKER_01: Oh man, I could I could I don't hate much in the world, but I could officially say that I hate the Cubs.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, I thought you were I thought you were saying that you like both of them and and you'd have a hard time picking.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: No, I just there's this like yeah, like my my sister's dating a Cubs fan right now, and I just you know he's a great guy, but man, I just don't look at him the same.
- 42:59SPEAKER_00: But he has an obvious mental flaw.
- 43:03SPEAKER_00: So you were you were just sitting back cringing and like gritting your teeth and swearing under your breath when the when the Cubs were were uh winning the World Series then, weren't you?
- 43:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that was a hard, that was a hard time in my life.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Just the bitter asshole that could not celebrate someone else's success.
- 43:19SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 43:20SPEAKER_01: And I have some and you know, there's a lot of Cubs fans in our area, and so I have a lot of really good, good friends of mine that are Cubs fans, and it was a really hard time.
- 43:30SPEAKER_01: Like I was happy for them, but I was so pissed inside.
- 43:35SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 43:36SPEAKER_00: So baseball or football?
- 43:38SPEAKER_01: Baseball.
- 43:39SPEAKER_01: I can't believe I said that, but yeah, I'm a huge baseball fan.
- 43:43SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 43:46SPEAKER_00: Mountains or beach.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: Beach.
- 43:51SPEAKER_00: I like it.
- 43:52SPEAKER_00: We need a good mountain beach.
- 43:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Jackson Hole has a a decent, you know, beach on Jackson Lake.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: Kind of.
- 44:01SPEAKER_00: Freezing cold, but are we in a real estate bubble or no bubble?
- 44:09SPEAKER_01: Oh we are in a real estate bubble.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: Podcast or vlog?
- 44:19SPEAKER_01: This this is a tough one for me because I believe in both of them.
- 44:22SPEAKER_01: Um but I'm gonna have to go with podcast.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: Love it.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: YouTube or Facebook Live.
- 44:30SPEAKER_01: Facebook L well, okay, here I got a rule around this.
- 44:34SPEAKER_01: Are you going for social engagement or are you going for searchable?
- 44:39SPEAKER_00: Whatever the hell you feel like.
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 44:41SPEAKER_01: So if you're going for so it's got can I can I say both?
- 44:44SPEAKER_01: Because if I'm going for social social engagement, I want Facebook Live.
- 44:48SPEAKER_01: But if I'm going for searchable, I want to go do YouTube.
- 44:51SPEAKER_00: Yes, and great distinction because you're you know you need to know what your strategy is and what you're trying to accomplish, and and that's very important.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: Yes, very important.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: Uber or Lyft?
- 45:04SPEAKER_01: Uber, because I I don't I've never used Lyft.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: A little pink mustache?
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: I don't even know if they have those anymore, but Gary V or Grant Cardone?
- 45:14SPEAKER_01: Gary V.
- 45:16SPEAKER_01: I respect them both, but I like Gary V.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Easy.
- 45:19SPEAKER_00: Frasier or Brome?
- 45:23SPEAKER_01: Well, because I'm on your show.
- 45:25SPEAKER_01: It's Brome.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: You're a smart, smart man, Neil.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: Love it.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: And all right, so anyone listening that maybe is not familiar with you yet, where could they find you?
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: How can they connect with you, uh, link up with you on social, and find out more about how they can download your wisdom into their brain?
- 45:43SPEAKER_01: I think the best way, I mean, obviously you can listen to the Agent Rise podcast, but I'm I've just begun doing a masterclass every Thursday night, and you can find that at AgentOnTherise.com.
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: Um, and and join me every Thursday night.

- 48:11SPEAKER_00: For me, do it.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: Put an action plan together and start moving towards making it happen.
- 48:19SPEAKER_00: Okay, that is what differentiates the agents that win and the agents that have to leave the business and can't survive for more than a year or two.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: It's the ones that really put in a crap load of work and keep keep rolling with the punches and making adjustments and making it happen.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: They take action and do it.
- 48:38SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 48:39SPEAKER_00: So please, for me, take action on what you learned today, if it resonated with you and you want to add it to your strategy or to start doing events yourself, please do it.
