- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:42Hi, it's Adam here. And in today's episode of The
- 0:45Hypnotist, you can be listening to a weight loss hypnosis
- 0:48session that utilizes A paleo approach.
- 0:53Now the paleo diet or paleo way of eating actually is connected
- 0:59to this idea of the Paleolithic period.
- 1:02So for a very long period of time, humans were hunter
- 1:06gatherers before we collected in groups in towns and villages and
- 1:14made farms. Actually, we spent a lot of time
- 1:18roaming and looking for food where we can find it.
- 1:21And that way of eating actually is a very healthy way of eating
- 1:26because you've got lots of movement requires energy to.
- 1:29Hunt. Or forage or pick fruit off
- 1:33trees. And there wasn't that much fruit
- 1:34back then. Going fishing, you know, and
- 1:38finding vegetables were quite difficult.
- 1:41You would find them randomly. That way of eating meant that
- 1:45food was nutritionally dense, there would be lots of gaps
- 1:49between eating, there would be lots of movements, and the
- 1:53client I was working with liked that way of eating when.
- 1:57They. 'D lost weight in the past they
- 1:58had that approach. So there is an element in this.
- 2:01Of imagining going. Back to that period, we're
- 2:05talking period, you know, 1520 thousand years ago, but with
- 2:11them carrying now in in the UK, we have this phrase lard, I
- 2:15don't know if it's. Exist in the.
- 2:17States but lard is kind of 100% animal fat and some people use
- 2:22that as a substitute for things like vegetable oil or olive oil
- 2:25for cooking, for example, particularly frying things.
- 2:30So lard is this 100% fat and you can think of your body fat as.
- 2:36Being like. Lard.
- 2:38So we calculated they had about 20 kilos, that's the equivalent
- 2:43of about 44 lbs of excess body weight they wanted to lose.
- 2:47But they imagine that in packets of lard actually on their body,
- 2:52but they they could see them, they could visibly see them.
- 2:55And then thinking if they were going back in time to that
- 2:57period, then actually by eating less but better quality, these
- 3:05blocks of lard would be melting away and it would lead to this
- 3:09very healthy body shape. And what was wonderful is I
- 3:13actually did the session a couple of weeks ago and while I
- 3:16was in a conference in Ireland, the Irish Hypnotherapy
- 3:20Conference, I got a message from the client saying that they'd
- 3:22already lost 6 lbs within about a week of kind of following this
- 3:28kind of approach backed up by the hypnosis.
- 3:31So what I look for is a combination of hypnosis plus a
- 3:36weight loss strategy. Just a weight loss strategy that
- 3:40you're not sure if it's going to work means you're probably not
- 3:42going to stick to it. And just hypnotherapy without
- 3:45following a a proven weight loss strategy isn't helpful anyway.
- 3:49You need to be doing something different to get to a certain
- 3:52level of result. I love paleo and intermittent
- 3:57fasting. Those are the 2 weight loss
- 3:58strategies I tend to go to if I want to reduce body fat and
- 4:02Paleo was the approach that this client also wanted to utilize.
- 4:07So if you like the idea of eating like your ancestors.
- 4:12As a way of losing weight and. Looking at your excess body fat
- 4:16simply as fuel that your body can learn how to use so that
- 4:20when you feel hungry it's not a big deal, it's just training
- 4:23your body to burn more fat, you might get a lot out.
- 4:26Of this session. It was created for an
- 4:28individual. Not all of the suggestions are
- 4:29going to resonate with you, That's fine.
- 4:32You can just cherry pick the ones that feel like they would
- 4:35be more useful for you. But if you do like the idea of a
- 4:38bespoke customized session just for you, and we work together to
- 4:43achieve whatever your goals are, that could be to lose weight,
- 4:45change body shape, break an addiction, whatever it might be.
- 4:49There will be a link in the show notes where you can schedule
- 4:51that free consultation call over Zoom.
- 4:54For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 4:57won't be disturbed. Relax.
- 4:59And enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in and as you
- 5:43breathe in, breathe in a resourceful feeling of calm and
- 5:48relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 5:55any feelings of stress and tension to leave your body.
- 5:59And on that outward breath, just allow your.
- 6:01Eyelids to close. Allow allow yourself to position
- 6:05your body in a way where you can feel comfortable and relaxed.
- 6:11Breathing in relaxation, that's it.
- 6:15And exhaling tension enabling you to feel deeper and deeper
- 6:25relaxed. That's it.
- 6:31I want you to imagine a colour that represents pure relaxation,
- 6:41a bright colour. Just imagine as you're breathing
- 6:45in, you're breathing in that bright colour of pure
- 6:51relaxation. And as you exhale, just imagine
- 6:59a dark grey colour leaving your body in your outward breath,
- 7:05representing any stress, any tension, any worries.
- 7:12Allow that to leave your body before breathing in another deep
- 7:19breath of that vibrant colour, breathing in that distilled
- 7:26relaxation, exhaling tension. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 7:32relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 7:38the deeper you breathe. That's it.
- 7:44As your body relaxes, your imagination awakens.
- 7:49And I want you to imagine a luxurious pool there by the
- 7:57coast in Cyprus. I want you to imagine not just
- 8:04enjoying the sunshine, but worshipping the sunshine.
- 8:12I want you to imagine how good it would feel to feel like
- 8:18you're relaxing on a lounger, already having lost weight that
- 8:26you're intending to lose. I want you to imagine this is a
- 8:31future version of you. I want you to imagine yourself
- 8:37at a particular dress size, wearing a swimming costume in
- 8:42that size, and imagine lounging right by the.
- 8:49Side of the. Pool Feeling that your muscles
- 8:53are toned. Feeling a lightness in your
- 8:58body. I want you to feel what you've
- 9:03lost in weight, you've gained in confidence, you've gained in
- 9:09energy, vitality and well-being. You've not lost anything, you've
- 9:15just done a swap. You've swapped excess stored
- 9:21energy for wonderful feelings. Feelings that enrich your life,
- 9:29make you healthier, make you proud.
- 9:33Whenever you see your reflection in a mirror or a window,
- 9:40remember this is a future version of you.
- 9:42By this pool, your unconscious mind knows how far in the future
- 9:50and I want you to imagine thinking about the journey you
- 9:55went on to get to this desirable weight.
- 10:03I want you to think of a journey that wasn't going on a diet, it
- 10:11was just eating good quality foods, real foods, real foods
- 10:21and real movement. That's what it took.
- 10:28As you imagine feeling more and more relaxed, perhaps in the
- 10:33distance, hearing waves breaking on the shore, feeling the sun on
- 10:41your skin, melting away any tension.
- 10:46I want you to imagine floating back in time, floating back to
- 10:55when you were seeing someone in particular growing their own
- 11:00foods. Perhaps you could imagine a
- 11:05vegetable patch there in a garden.
- 11:11I want you to see that that person took pride in what they
- 11:20were growing. It wasn't just sunshine and
- 11:25rainwater that powered those vegetables and salads.
- 11:32It was also care, attention. I want you to get a sense then
- 11:43this is real food. Real food is powered by
- 11:49sunshine, rainwater and the nutrition of the earth, either
- 11:56the soil or the sea. I want you to get a sense then
- 12:04eating this way gives your body real energy, real nutrition, but
- 12:14it does it in a way where you can't overindulge.
- 12:24In the history of mankind, nobody has binged on a salad,
- 12:31and even if they did, all that would happen is they go to the
- 12:37toilet more often. When you have foods high in
- 12:43fibre, filled with distilled water, filled with
- 12:49micronutrients, the side effect of eating too much isn't more
- 12:56weight, it's simply more digestion.
- 13:04I want you to imagine back then seeing that house without
- 13:10vegetable patch and imagine next door there was a family that
- 13:17only only consumed pastries and cakes and crisps, only consumed
- 13:27processed foods. Just imagine over time the
- 13:34difference in body shape and health and sickness in those two
- 13:40houses. I want you to get a sense that
- 13:44if you are what you eat when you eat natural, real foods bursting
- 13:52with vitality, you become healthier and more vital when
- 14:02you eat foods filled with white poisons of flour and sugar and
- 14:11salt. That leads to all kinds of
- 14:18deadly diseases, diseases that attack the heart or the liver or
- 14:29the whole body. With diabetes, I want you to
- 14:34feel that a key is turning a lock inside your mind.
- 14:42You don't just want to lose weight, you want to unleash a
- 14:47new level of health, Wellness and vitality.
- 14:55But let's seek inspiration from further back in time.
- 15:03I want to imagine how you would feel going back in time 20,000
- 15:11years. Back to the Paleolithic period,
- 15:17there were no shops and farms, windmills to turn grain into
- 15:24bread. Back then the food that was
- 15:28eaten was caught or foraged, picked or plucked.
- 15:38This was a time of hunting for food, fishing for food, not a
- 15:45time of buying pastries and cakes or crisps in supermarkets.
- 15:53I want you to imagine going back to that point in history and
- 15:58just observing long lost ancestors.
- 16:06These people were like you, but back then.
- 16:11No TV commercials filling their brain with the need to have
- 16:17sugary drinks. These were people that needed
- 16:22food for survival and the only food around was food they worked
- 16:28to find, hunt, cook and eat. But I want you to imagine being
- 16:38back there at this time with a difference.
- 16:42You're taking one thing from the present all the way back then to
- 16:47the past. I want you to imagine strapped
- 16:53to your body in all different locations are 80 packets of
- 16:59lard. Each packet of lard is 250 grams
- 17:05of pure animal fat. I want you to imagine that this
- 17:13is heavy. The combined weight of these 80
- 17:18packets of lard is 20 kilograms, 3 stone of fat you're carrying
- 17:24around on your body. It feels like a burden.
- 17:31I want you to get a sense. It feels uncomfortable to walk,
- 17:35to move, carrying around these 80 packets of lard.
- 17:43I want you to get a sense then to begin with, it feels like
- 17:47such a big task, but I want you to imagine you just eat like
- 17:53your ancestors used to eat. To catch a fish would be a
- 17:58celebration. To eat a few vegetables in a
- 18:02meal feels wonderful. Imagine their stomach being
- 18:08small Back then, because meals were one or two a day and small.
- 18:14Nutritionally impactful, but small in quantity.
- 18:20They would move every day to hunt, to fish, to forage for
- 18:25food. Imagine doing those things with
- 18:29them, and after just a few days, that first packet of 80 packets
- 18:36of lard disappears. It's just melted away.
- 18:41And that gives you a sense of belief that this body fat is not
- 18:47fixed. It can change that.
- 18:51When you eat healthy, nutritious food, when you move, your body
- 18:58can use that body fat as a source of energy, like a power
- 19:06bank, a generator of stored energy.
- 19:12Imagine a few more days and your stomach has shrunk even smaller.
- 19:17Now just even the equivalent of a small plate is enough to feel
- 19:23you're no longer hungry. Notice a sense of gratitude for
- 19:29whatever food you eat, and whatever you eat seems like it's
- 19:34enough. But unlike your ancestors,
- 19:40you've got all of this stored energy ready to use.
- 19:44As the days turn into weeks, there are less and less of these
- 19:51packets of lard. They seem to be melting away,
- 19:55slowly but surely. I want you to imagine.
- 20:03As weeks turn into months, they get less and less, which means
- 20:07you feel lighter, you feel with more energy.
- 20:12And the more energy you have, the more you can move.
- 20:15And the more you move, the faster these packets of lard
- 20:20also melt away. I want you to imagine eating
- 20:27grilled fish, fish that was cooked on a fire.
- 20:33Tastes incredible, feels filling, maybe just having the
- 20:42odd piece of fruit, and it just seems to satisfy and satiate any
- 20:48hunger that living this way. You feel healthier, you sleep
- 20:56better with more energy, and week after week these packets of
- 21:04lard melt away and just speed up time until it's been a few
- 21:10months. Just imagine there is only one
- 21:15packet of lard left. I wonder how motivated you would
- 21:20be to continue to only eat when you're hungry.
- 21:26Just two meals a day. Small but nutritionally
- 21:31impactful. I want you to get a sense then
- 21:38there is no need to eat for energy if you've already got
- 21:42energy in your body, your body fat is your energy.
- 21:48You only need to eat for nutrition.
- 21:52Imagine eating berries. Imagine eating lean proteins or
- 22:02eggs cooked in a particular way. This is more than enough to
- 22:07satiate your hunger, to give your body the nutrients it needs
- 22:13to train your body to continue burning fat.
- 22:18And just imagine that very last packet of lard is now melted
- 22:23away. And I want you to imagine back
- 22:27then, 20,000 years ago, there are no mirrors.
- 22:33But imagine a lake and looking at yourself in the lake and
- 22:38seeing your reflection, seeing that you've lost 3 stone of body
- 22:43fat. But what you've lost in body
- 22:46fat, you've gained in health, vitality, confidence and energy.
- 22:54And if this feels like a winnable strategy, let me know
- 22:57by nodding your head. That's it.
- 23:01So just imagine taking that thought back with you back there
- 23:07to that lounger by a pool in a hotel in Cyprus.
- 23:12And as you leave the lounge, just imagine walking barefoot on
- 23:17the sandy beach, feeling comfortable in your own skin,
- 23:24feeling light, feeling energetic, feeling inspired to
- 23:31do this not for anyone else, but you unlock all of the
- 23:37determination and tenacity you need, not to be perfect, but to
- 23:43make slow and steady progress. You are not on a diet.
- 23:50You are changing the food you eat when you're not on a diet.
- 23:55The everyday foods, They get smaller, but more nutritional.
- 24:02No need for breakfast if you don't feel like it.
- 24:05You are training your body to be underfed and overnourished,
- 24:13giving your body what it needs to use that excess energy stored
- 24:19in your cells as the very fuel to reduce your hunger even more.
- 24:29I want you to get a sense then. What you're imagining right now
- 24:34is a statement of intent that you will be there by that pool
- 24:42and on that beach at this weight that you're imagining right now
- 24:46at some point in your future. This.
- 24:53This is not a possibility. This is your destiny.
- 25:00These are now the coordinates of a destination that your
- 25:04unconscious is guiding you towards.
- 25:09Through your hunger levels, through your cravings, through
- 25:12your choices. It is guiding you to this place.
- 25:19With that destination in mind, it's time to return to the
- 25:22present. Take a deep breath in through
- 25:24your nose and out through your nose.
- 25:27Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 25:29Start to calibrate and connect with the here and the now as I
- 25:32now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 25:36Starting to count 123 waking up 456 more alert. 7-8.
- 25:44Open your eyes. Open your eyes 910 Wide awake,
- 25:49Wide awake. Wide awake.
