- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.
- 0:27This recording is not suitable for those with epilepsy or
- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:43Hi, it's Adam here. And in this hypnosis session
- 0:47you're going to be listening to a weight loss hypnosis session
- 0:50that was created for a client that had lost weight but then
- 0:54had hit a plateau. And I think this is the most.
- 0:58Precarious part. Of weight loss.
- 1:00For a lot of people, they are happy to make great choices with
- 1:04food and be active, have that calorie deficit if they're
- 1:10seeing regular progress, but when there's a plateau, it's
- 1:13the. Point where?
- 1:15A lot of people make the internal evaluation that what am
- 1:19I doing all this for and if I'm eating well and exercising but
- 1:23not losing weight, what's the point?
- 1:25And that creates a self fulfilling prophecy because then
- 1:28it gives them permission to do exactly the.
- 1:31Kind of things. Like eating more and snacking
- 1:34more. That would actually inverse all
- 1:37of the progress that's already been made.
- 1:40This client wasn't at that point yet.
- 1:42They were exercising well. In fact, increasing.
- 1:45The amount of cardio, continuing to make good choices with food,
- 1:49but not quite seeing the progress that they were looking
- 1:51for. So this uses a metaphor of.
- 1:56One of these. Electronic walkways, these
- 1:59travelators, so quite often you see them in airports where
- 2:03they're moving the floor so you can make more progress quicker.
- 2:07And the reason that this is quite a good metaphor is that
- 2:10this client was doing the right things but not seeing a lot of
- 2:13the progress. So it's almost like.
- 2:15Walking forwards. Where the moving walkway is
- 2:18going in the opposite direction. So you're doing effort but not
- 2:22seeing progress yet. However, what I know having
- 2:26worked with so many clients for weight loss.
- 2:29Is that there is a game? Of patience, that progress isn't
- 2:31always a nice gradient down from their current weight to their
- 2:36idle weight. Sometimes there's a plateau and
- 2:39then a big breakthrough. And I wanted to harness this
- 2:42metaphor of the travelator moving in the wrong direction,
- 2:46so. That they would.
- 2:46Get the impact of feeling it moving in the right direction
- 2:50towards where they wanted to be and that is?
- 2:53Losing more weight? And in particular, their
- 2:55compelling vision was an upcoming holiday to Italy where
- 2:58they really wanted to feel that they were going to be 1 clothing
- 3:02size lower for that. Upcoming holiday.
- 3:07This will be a very useful session for anyone that is on a
- 3:11weight loss journey but not seeing the level of progress
- 3:14that they would like, and therefore the metaphor is really
- 3:17going to hit where you're at right now.
- 3:20It's not the ideal session if you haven't started to lose
- 3:23weight yet because normally the first few months of weight loss
- 3:26you see rapid progress. This is when you've already made
- 3:29that initial burst of progress. There's a plateau before the
- 3:33next phase of progress, so if you want to lose weight and you
- 3:37want hypnosis to help you, you might find this hypnosis session
- 3:40quite useful if you've hit that plateau, but just be aware that
- 3:44it was created for a specific. Individual.
- 3:48It's unlikely. That you're going to have a
- 3:50holiday booked to southern Italy and therefore some of the
- 3:53suggestions aren't going to be quite right for you.
- 3:56Take what's useful, disregard anything that doesn't quite
- 3:59resonate with you, but if you do, like the idea of a bespoke
- 4:04hypnosis session. Customized and.
- 4:06Created to your exact circumstances.
- 4:09Look at the link in the description and you'll be able
- 4:11to schedule a free consultation. Call to explore.
- 4:14What it would be like for us to work together directly.
- 4:18For now though, you might really get some value from this
- 4:20session. So find a quiet, comfortable
- 4:22place where you won't be disturbed.
- 4:25Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 5:33you breathe in, breathe in that slow, long, relaxing breath.
- 5:41And as you exhale, feel a sense of release, particularly around
- 5:53those tiny muscles around your eyelids, around your forehead.
- 6:01Just feel that tension starting to melt away.
- 6:09Breathing in the relaxation, and that's it.
- 6:16Exhaling that tension now, and the deeper you breathe in, the
- 6:25more of that relaxation. And as you exhale, feel that the
- 6:35longer you elongate that outward breath, the more of that
- 6:42tension, that stress, any worries, is just leaving your
- 6:48body in that outward breath. And with your eyes closed, just
- 6:57imagine a point on the top of your head, the very crown of
- 7:06your head. And with your eyes closed, just
- 7:09imagine looking upwards through your brain to that crown of your
- 7:15head, eyes going upwards with your eyelid shut.
- 7:23Feel feel that sense of temporary discomfort so that on
- 7:38the next outward breath you can relax your eyes completely.
- 7:43That's it. Enabling your whole head to
- 7:49start feeling more and more comfortable, more and more
- 7:56relaxed. The deeper you breathe, the more
- 8:02relaxed you become. And the more relaxed you become,
- 8:06the deeper you breathe. And as your body relaxes, your
- 8:11imagination awakens. That's in.
- 8:18And I wonder if you could imagine a long corridor, the
- 8:25kind of corridor that you might see at an airport that connects
- 8:32the main departure lounge with the main airport.
- 8:38You know the ones, those long, long corridors.
- 8:44But I want you to imagine, and it is just your imagination, but
- 8:51there is no one else there. It is just you on these long
- 8:58corridors. And what if this long corridor
- 9:04represented a journey from where you are to where you want to be?
- 9:13The end of that corridor would represent you at a particular
- 9:20weight, shape, levels of energy and confidence.
- 9:30That's it. The corridor is the journey
- 9:35towards that health, vitality, high self esteem and oozing
- 9:43levels of confidence. But as you look down, I want you
- 9:51to see one of those moving walkways, A travelator.
- 9:57You've seen them before in an airport and normally they
- 10:04amplify the very direction that you're walking.
- 10:12They just help you to walk that way faster.
- 10:17But as you look down, I want you to see that the travelator is
- 10:23moving in the opposite direction.
- 10:25And no matter how far and fast you walk, to the outside world,
- 10:35it seems like you're staying in the same place.
- 10:40But that's not what's really happening because you're getting
- 10:46stronger, building good habits. It's just that temporarily,
- 10:56those good choices, good habits, good decisions are temporarily
- 11:01being neutralized. And sometimes it could feel
- 11:06frustrating to do the right things but not see the progress.
- 11:20And you've had those times on the travel later that it moved
- 11:23with you, and you could imagine what it would feel like if it's
- 11:27moving in that opposite direction.
- 11:33So now, just for the time being, maybe it's felt like every step
- 11:41forward keeps you in the same place, like you're walking
- 11:48against the grain, The kind of effort that doesn't move the
- 11:56dial doesn't move you forwards. And for a while, maybe it felt
- 12:05like you were stuck, like you hit that plateau.
- 12:22As you imagine breathing in and breathing out on that moving
- 12:25walkway, I want you to imagine how good it would feel if you
- 12:39see the walkway beneath you slowing down.
- 12:47Suddenly you start seeing yourself moving forwards, see
- 12:56that travelator, then stop. And now by doing the same things
- 13:03in the same way, you're actually moving forwards.
- 13:09Suddenly your effort counts again.
- 13:15Every step you take now is pure forward motion and that
- 13:23destination that you want to get to is getting closer and closer.
- 13:31No resistance, no sabotage, just progress powered by intention,
- 13:42motivation and momentum. And all the way at the end of
- 13:50that corridor, I want you to see things that remind you, or at
- 13:58least symbolize Italy, the southern part of Italy.
- 14:06And maybe it's the architecture, maybe it's those cobbled streets
- 14:15or olive trees, perhaps it's the sunshine and blue skies.
- 14:24Just get a sense that that's further down the corridor.
- 14:29You're not there yet, but you are now making progress towards
- 14:36that version of you Feel yourself.
- 14:44Not just walking forwards now, but the travelator is now moving
- 14:49in the same direction that you're walking.
- 14:53This thing that was once keeping you treading water in a hamster
- 14:59wheel of being active but not making progress is now enhancing
- 15:04your progress. Every time you exercise and eat
- 15:09well, the travelator is amplifying your progress,
- 15:17helping you to move forwards at a faster rate.
- 15:25And as you walk on that travelator, get a sense of pure
- 15:30gratitude for the strength in your legs and the mobility in
- 15:37your knees. Notice your knees.
- 15:43Healthy, mobile, no pain, no restrictions.
- 15:51And maybe in the past you'd have wondered could you be walking
- 15:56this fast using your knees? But now you are, and they carry
- 16:03you effortlessly. And it's no surprise the more
- 16:10active you are, the closer you are getting to your destination.
- 16:19And right now it might be walking.
- 16:22But that's not the only activity that can move you forwards.
- 16:32I want you to imagine seeing a large glass container there on
- 16:37the travelator. Imagine swimming in that large
- 16:43glass container and the travelator still moves you
- 16:47forward. And then imagine seeing those
- 16:53small bouncy trampolines, but even if you were bouncing on the
- 17:00trampoline, the travelator still moves you forwards.
- 17:08And then see a rowing machine, They're on that long travelator
- 17:13taking you to your destination. The rowing machine also moves
- 17:19you forwards and you get a sense of joy and pleasure and
- 17:28satisfaction from being active and moving your body.
- 17:35And it's all moving you forwards because each of these activities
- 17:43is not a chore or a task. I want you to get a sense that
- 17:49it's enhancing the very. Journey that you're.
- 17:52On like a gift and every extra minute or every extra session,
- 18:04not only are you feeling pride and accomplishment, but
- 18:09increasing momentum because this body of yours is responding,
- 18:18adapting, rebuilding and reclaiming, becoming stronger
- 18:25and more powerful with every move.
- 18:33Notice the travelator is taking you closer and closer to that
- 18:37destination that reminds you of Italy and Italian things.
- 18:51And you don't have to get there in one go.
- 18:54One day, one week at a time, become stepping stones towards
- 19:00this place, and it might be that a regular time of weighing
- 19:06yourself, perhaps once a week at the same time of day, is just
- 19:15enough for you to see the progress.
- 19:19And if those scales show that you're making progress, you will
- 19:24feel the momentum building within you to make even more
- 19:28great choices. And if there's ever a week that
- 19:33shows no progress for that week, feel a sense of resolve and
- 19:41motivation increasing within you that whatever the scales show
- 19:47you, it moves you forwards. And there are many people that
- 19:54do the opposite. That if the.
- 19:57Scales show them that they're losing weight.
- 20:00It gives them permission to treat themselves with the very
- 20:05food that would impede their progress.
- 20:08And if the scales show that they're not losing weight, it
- 20:12would give them permission to stop doing those healthy habits
- 20:16and choices, and thereby you doing the opposite moves you
- 20:23forwards. Rather than holds you back,
- 20:28you're not afraid to look at the scales because whatever number
- 20:33it shows you helps you either by increasing momentum or
- 20:40increasing motivation. But just once a week.
- 20:47To avoid that analysis paralysis, once a week is enough
- 20:55to give you a spring forward. Or perhaps galvanized your
- 21:00intentions and motivations. Because better choices means
- 21:09more movement and even better choices of what to eat, when to
- 21:16eat. And sometimes every now and
- 21:20then, you will desire not to eat food, but drink it.
- 21:26By juicing those vegetables, you will give a gift to your body of
- 21:34high nutrition, but the kind of nutrition that shrinks your
- 21:41stomach, reducing your appetite. And whenever you have a day
- 21:49where you only have juices, you will feel that that travelator
- 21:54is getting faster, enhancing your ability to get to your
- 22:00destination. Every progress propels you
- 22:08forwards and I want you to imagine that travelator is
- 22:14getting you very close to that destination that looks like
- 22:21Italy. But the version of you you see
- 22:25at the end of the travelator is 1 size smaller than your current
- 22:32size. You can see a version of you
- 22:37that is 1 size slimmer and the moment you get to the end.
- 22:42Of the travelator. You become them and feel in
- 22:48advance how wonderful it would feel to be at this new weight.
- 22:58This new weight allows your imagination to take you
- 23:03forwards, to anticipate in advance how good it would feel
- 23:12to be having that time in beautiful Sorrento in Italy,
- 23:20wearing the clothes that you could only wear one size
- 23:25smaller. Catch yourself in a reflection
- 23:31of a shop window, looking toned, vibrant, energized as you walk
- 23:39confidently through those. Cobbled streets.
- 23:44Or maybe swim in the sea. We'll take a dip in a peaceful
- 23:50pool overlooking the incredible coastline in advance.
- 23:58Feel that feeling of pride, because you earned this.
- 24:05It wasn't given to you. You were consistent, determined,
- 24:12tenacious. These good feelings you've
- 24:16earned, they weren't given to you.
- 24:21So you can feel proud of feeling proud, not just because of how
- 24:27you look, but more importantly, because of what it represents.
- 24:36Represents the commitment, the progress, the moments of choice.
- 24:43That's what created this reality.
- 24:47But this future is not a fantasy or wishful thinking.
- 24:53It is a destination that is a reflection of an intention.
- 24:59And every activity and food choice and movement that is
- 25:05aligned with this intention brings you closer, speeds up the
- 25:11travel later. So imagine how good it would
- 25:15feel to be there, there in Italy, feeling light and lean
- 25:23and toned, with a spring in your step, bursting with confidence.
- 25:35And if you can anticipate in advance how good it would feel,
- 25:37let me know by nodding your head.
- 25:42And just know you have the power to steer yourself in this
- 25:49direction, that the travelator that was keeping you on that
- 25:54plateau will very quickly be amplifying every choice, every
- 26:03moment of exercise to get you to this destination quicker.
- 26:11So bring that feeling of certainty, pride and forward
- 26:16motion. Enable it to feel that it exists
- 26:21within you now. Let it settle deep in your
- 26:27subconscious as your new default setting.
- 26:35You don't have to wait. This is activating now.
- 26:42The travelator is already moving with you rather than against
- 26:47you. You're no longer on a plateau.
- 26:52You are in motion again, and every day your steps get
- 26:59lighter, your energy gets brighter, and your future gets
- 27:05closer. You are unlocking all of the
- 27:11resources you need to make more progress.
- 27:19And as you hold onto that thorn, it's time to reconnect with the
- 27:25here and the now, but taking these beliefs, feelings, and
- 27:30strategies with you. So take a deep breath in through
- 27:35your nose and out through your nose.
- 27:41Just wiggle your fingers and wiggle your toes.
- 27:44Start to connect and calibrate with the here and the now as I
- 27:50now count from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 27:55And you will awaken feeling resourceful, motivated, ready
- 28:02for that next phase of transformation, starting to
- 28:07count. 123. Waking up 456 More alert 7-8
