- 0:15Speaker 1: no guests, no interview, just me sharing some advice, talking
- 0:19Speaker 1: through the things I'm seeing in practices, and digging into
- 0:22Speaker 1: the questions and challenges that come up all the time.
- 0:25Speaker 2: With our doctors.
- 0:27Speaker 1: So we thought, hey, why not make it a thing
- 0:30Speaker 1: Once a month, I'm going to jump on here solo
- 0:32Speaker 1: and talk about a topic I think can help you
- 0:34Speaker 1: build a better practice, become a better leader, or maybe
- 0:38Speaker 1: just look at something a little differently. And today we're
- 0:41Speaker 1: talking about one simple question, who is Your Who? Inspired
- 0:45Speaker 1: by Dan Sullivan's Who Not How book, We're going to
- 0:49Speaker 1: talk about what happens when you stop asking how am
- 0:52Speaker 1: I going to do this and start asking who can
- 0:55Speaker 1: I get to help me here? From setting bigger goals
- 0:58Speaker 1: to getting better at DELA delegation, We're digging into why
- 1:02Speaker 1: the right people, not just the right plans, could be
- 1:06Speaker 1: what it takes to really move the needle in your practice.
- 1:09Speaker 1: Let's dive in, and now a word from the sponsors

- 2:48Speaker 2: To everybody who is out there and listening. This is
- 2:51Speaker 2: going to be a fun presentation and one that I
- 2:55Speaker 2: really have enjoyed putting together. We are going to be
- 2:59Speaker 2: talking about who is your who? So who's your who?
- 3:05Speaker 2: And I kind of got this concept. This is not
- 3:08Speaker 2: a new concept when we think about the business world
- 3:13Speaker 2: outside of orthodonics, but I do think that it is
- 3:16Speaker 2: a new word concept within our industry. And this is
- 3:21Speaker 2: a concept of figuring out who is your who for
- 3:27Speaker 2: achieving goals. And I don't know how many of you
- 3:30Speaker 2: know this, but I personally set a goal for myself
- 3:35Speaker 2: every year to read at least one new book a month,
- 3:40Speaker 2: and that gets me at least twelve a year. And
- 3:44Speaker 2: this happens to be inspired by one of the books
- 3:48Speaker 2: that I read this last year, and it's a book
- 3:52Speaker 2: called Who Not How by Dan Sullivan. And this would
- 3:55Speaker 2: be a book that I would highly encourage or suggest
- 3:59Speaker 2: if any of you are like me and maybe putting
- 4:02Speaker 2: together your booklist for the year, if you've not had
- 4:06Speaker 2: an opportunity to read this book, it is definitely one
- 4:09Speaker 2: that I think as business owners, everybody needs to have
- 4:13Speaker 2: in their library. So we're kind of going to take
- 4:17Speaker 2: this in two parts, and the first part of this
- 4:19Speaker 2: presentation is really going to be about what it looks
- 4:25Speaker 2: like for you when we're thinking about four main business concepts,
- 4:30Speaker 2: and the four that we're going to dig into is
- 4:34Speaker 2: number one, the goal setting fallacy. Number two is something
- 4:38Speaker 2: called a multiplier effect. Number three is going to be
- 4:43Speaker 2: the business hierarchy of needs, and number four is going
- 4:47Speaker 2: to be the power of delegation. And as we go
- 4:51Speaker 2: through these, my hope is that each of you are
- 4:54Speaker 2: going to be intrigued or challenged to really think about
- 4:59Speaker 2: how how can you apply some of these principles or
- 5:04Speaker 2: ideas into your personal practice and maybe even your personal life.
- 5:11Speaker 2: So the first thing that I really want to talk
- 5:14Speaker 2: about is goals. And I can tell you, being a
- 5:18Speaker 2: practice consultant and in this industry for over thirty years now,
- 5:24Speaker 2: that I am going to bet that each one of
- 5:27Speaker 2: you have sat down, or I'm going to hope that
- 5:31Speaker 2: you've sat down and looked at your year in review
- 5:35Speaker 2: and you have set up whatever your goals are going
- 5:39Speaker 2: to be. And I'm sure that many of you start
- 5:43Speaker 2: by looking at your year end reports and saying, ooh gosh,
- 5:48Speaker 2: we didn't really hit our goals, or we didn't really
- 5:52Speaker 2: do a great job achieving this that or the other.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And what I want you to really think about is
- 6:01Speaker 2: not necessarily the why we didn't hit our goals, because
- 6:07Speaker 2: it is important to be thinking about that, But did
- 6:12Speaker 2: the goals that we set make sense? And did we
- 6:15Speaker 2: have a plan in place for hitting those goals? And
- 6:19Speaker 2: you know, so many times when I'm working with practices,
- 6:22Speaker 2: what I see is our practices will sit down and
- 6:25Speaker 2: it's kind of the same goals year after year, and
- 6:29Speaker 2: they pick out an arbitrary number and you know, hey,
- 6:33Speaker 2: we did x amount of production in this previous year,
- 6:37Speaker 2: so therefore we're just going to pick a number ten percent.
- 6:41Speaker 2: We're going to grow by ten percent. We don't really
- 6:44Speaker 2: have a rhyme or reason how we're going to grow
- 6:46Speaker 2: by that. We don't even know why we picked that number.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Maybe that was the average number that people were talking
- 6:52Speaker 2: about in Facebook groups, who knows, But they picked a number,
- 6:56Speaker 2: they picked a goal, and they set it in front
- 6:58Speaker 2: of them, and a way they and one of the
- 7:01Speaker 2: things that I have found is many times when practices
- 7:06Speaker 2: are sitting down and setting goals, a lot of times
- 7:09Speaker 2: they're either not choosing goals that are achievable or they
- 7:14Speaker 2: aren't really thinking about what does it take to actually
- 7:22Speaker 2: make that goal come to fruition. Do we have the
- 7:26Speaker 2: right team members in place? Do we have the right
- 7:29Speaker 2: tools and processes in place for us to hit whatever
- 7:33Speaker 2: that goal is? And a lot of times what that
- 7:36Speaker 2: comes down to when I'm sitting down and working with
- 7:39Speaker 2: practices and we're really talking about, well, what are those
- 7:42Speaker 2: goals and what are we trying to achieve? Is it
- 7:45Speaker 2: comes down to your who. So it's not always about
- 7:51Speaker 2: how are we going to do it, but who or
- 7:55Speaker 2: who are we going to use to help us achieve
- 7:58Speaker 2: those goals. Another thing that I think is really important
- 8:03Speaker 2: that we need to be cautious of is getting kind
- 8:08Speaker 2: of stuck in the if I only had done, if
- 8:13Speaker 2: I had only changed, if I had only had more time,
- 8:18Speaker 2: then I would have been able to achieve this goal
- 8:23Speaker 2: or that goal, or then we would have been able
- 8:26Speaker 2: to do this or that. And I think that as
- 8:30Speaker 2: business owners, that's a really easy loop that we can
- 8:35Speaker 2: get ourselves into. And a lot of times, if we
- 8:40Speaker 2: really think about that mantra, it has that if I
- 8:45Speaker 2: had done, if I had changed, if I had more time.
- 8:51Speaker 2: And what I want you to take away from this
- 8:54Speaker 2: whole presentation, for any of my docs that are listening
- 8:57Speaker 2: or my office managers that are listening, is that you
- 9:03Speaker 2: have to stop placing yourself at the center of your
- 9:08Speaker 2: business goals or you are never going to really be
- 9:12Speaker 2: able to achieve those goals. We have to be able
- 9:17Speaker 2: to depend and rely on other people to help us
- 9:21Speaker 2: get to those goals. And I see this a lot.
- 9:25Speaker 2: And I'm sure many of you have heard about Superman's
- 9:29Speaker 2: syndrome or I like to call it the super Woman's syndrome,
- 9:33Speaker 2: but I think this is a real thing in business.
- 9:36Speaker 2: When we take that step towards becoming a business owner,
- 9:40Speaker 2: first and foremost, we're taking on all of the responsibility
- 9:46Speaker 2: and stress that comes along with having a successful business
- 9:50Speaker 2: or a business that is not very successful. And in
- 9:55Speaker 2: doing that, a lot of times, like I said, we
- 9:59Speaker 2: tend to get kind of stuck in this Superwoman or
- 10:03Speaker 2: Superman's syndrome. And many times it can be our ego
- 10:08Speaker 2: that gets us stuck there. Many times it can be
- 10:12Speaker 2: control we just I know I've got team members, but
- 10:16Speaker 2: I just don't think I can trust them to do it,
- 10:19Speaker 2: or we even get caught in the gosh. I don't
- 10:23Speaker 2: want to have to spend money to make money, and
- 10:26Speaker 2: any of those three areas can really become a problem
- 10:31Speaker 2: for us. So as we think about that, what I
- 10:36Speaker 2: want you to be thinking about is any of you
- 10:40Speaker 2: happen to actually own a practice from the very beginning.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I think that many times when you look at when
- 10:48Speaker 2: you first open up your practice or you first start
- 10:51Speaker 2: your practice, you're a very different business owner or person
- 10:56Speaker 2: to maybe the person that you are now ten years in,
- 11:00Speaker 2: fifteen years in into your practice. And one of the
- 11:04Speaker 2: things if you did have an opportunity to start up
- 11:07Speaker 2: a practice, is that you learn that when you first
- 11:10Speaker 2: get started, it's all on your shoulders. It is all
- 11:15Speaker 2: up to you. The decisions you make are really going
- 11:19Speaker 2: to be the make or break of how successful your
- 11:24Speaker 2: practice is going to be. But what tends to happen
- 11:28Speaker 2: over time, and I see this a lot when I'm
- 11:31Speaker 2: working with my doctors that are kind of in there
- 11:34Speaker 2: eight years to ten years in practice, is that they
- 11:40Speaker 2: got so used to that control of being in control
- 11:47Speaker 2: of everything that they have not been able to give up.
- 11:53Speaker 2: And I jokingly say, you know, we've kind of become
- 11:56Speaker 2: a control freak because dog onnet who else is going
- 12:00Speaker 2: to pay attention to your business more than you? Probably
- 12:05Speaker 2: not that many people in the beginning. But what I
- 12:08Speaker 2: will tell you, docs is if you trust and you
- 12:12Speaker 2: get the right people in place, and you get the
- 12:15Speaker 2: right team members and the right third party companies in place,
- 12:19Speaker 2: you are going to be able to have a team
- 12:23Speaker 2: that you can trust. And if you can just trust
- 12:27Speaker 2: them to get things off of your plate, it will
- 12:30Speaker 2: get you that much closer to really truly hitting the
- 12:33Speaker 2: goals that you're looking at trying to hit. And one
- 12:36Speaker 2: of the things that I also see so many times
- 12:40Speaker 2: is many, many, many of you are high achievers. And
- 12:45Speaker 2: I'm going to speak to even my office managers out
- 12:47Speaker 2: there if I've got any of those listening. You guys,
- 12:50Speaker 2: you know that the buck stops with you, and you
- 12:53Speaker 2: are really good at gts. You are going to get
- 12:57Speaker 2: stuff done and you are going to make sure that
- 13:02Speaker 2: nothing falls through the cracks. But sometimes getting so caught
- 13:08Speaker 2: up in that actually gets you to a point where
- 13:12Speaker 2: you cannot move forward, and you almost get stuck and
- 13:17Speaker 2: you become the center of your business goals and instead
- 13:23Speaker 2: you are not able to move past that and work
- 13:26Speaker 2: with your team to actually achieve those goals. Something else
- 13:31Speaker 2: that I think that we really have to be thinking
- 13:34Speaker 2: a lot about is many times I have docs, especially
- 13:39Speaker 2: when times are tough and you know, maybe our economy
- 13:42Speaker 2: has been down where it's really tough to actually put
- 13:47Speaker 2: the credit card out there or to be like, oh
- 13:49Speaker 2: my gosh, I got to add another employee. But you know,
- 13:52Speaker 2: maybe I can just work one more day, or I
- 13:55Speaker 2: can work three more hours in the afternoon, or maybe
- 13:59Speaker 2: I can And again we're back to that I can
- 14:03Speaker 2: I can do this, you know, as an office manager,
- 14:06Speaker 2: maybe I know I really need help with social media,
- 14:10Speaker 2: but maybe I can find time on the weekend to
- 14:13Speaker 2: set up our social calendar so that I can help
- 14:16Speaker 2: the practice save money or whatnot. And what I just
- 14:19Speaker 2: want to tell you is you have to be really
- 14:23Speaker 2: careful about again becoming your own road block to moving
- 14:31Speaker 2: your self forward towards the goals that you're looking for.
- 14:36Speaker 2: And as a business owner, I can tell you that
- 14:40Speaker 2: the Jill Allen that I am today is very different
- 14:43Speaker 2: than the Jill Allen I was as a new business
- 14:46Speaker 2: owner eighteen years ago, ten years ago, even six years ago.
- 14:52Speaker 2: And one of the things that really helped me was
- 14:57Speaker 2: moving myself out of the control position and being able
- 15:02Speaker 2: to put the right team members and key companies in
- 15:07Speaker 2: place to help me continue to move forward and move
- 15:11Speaker 2: my dreams and my goals forward as a business owner.
- 15:15Speaker 2: So what I want you to really think about is
- 15:18Speaker 2: mind shift. What does it look like to really start
- 15:24Speaker 2: to rely on your team and rely on maybe third
- 15:29Speaker 2: party companies around you to help you move towards the
- 15:34Speaker 2: goals that you want in this next year. So one
- 15:38Speaker 2: of the concepts that I think is important to think
- 15:41Speaker 2: about is this multiplier effect. And I'm sure many of
- 15:47Speaker 2: you have kind of heard about this before, but Dan
- 15:51Speaker 2: Sullivan talks about this in one of his books. But
- 15:55Speaker 2: the who you work with might work with other who's
- 15:59Speaker 2: as well well, creating a powerful multiplier effect. And what
- 16:04Speaker 2: I mean by this, and what he means by this,
- 16:08Speaker 2: is that if we can start taking a chance and
- 16:13Speaker 2: relying on our team and relying on some third party
- 16:17Speaker 2: companies and moving ourselves out of the way of achieving
- 16:22Speaker 2: our goals, a lot of times it's not about trying
- 16:26Speaker 2: to figure out how do we achieve our goal? But
- 16:30Speaker 2: who do I need in place to help me achieve
- 16:34Speaker 2: that goal? Because that's ultimately what it's about. So when
- 16:39Speaker 2: we think about that, it is our who is your who?
- 16:44Speaker 2: This is where I see so many offices not really
- 16:49Speaker 2: taking the time to really determine who within their office
- 16:56Speaker 2: is best at getting stuff done. So if you've got
- 17:01Speaker 2: a goal for hey, we want to be better at
- 17:05Speaker 2: just having a social media presence this year, and we
- 17:09Speaker 2: really want to really get our social media channels up
- 17:13Speaker 2: to snuff, and we've got a goal of committing to
- 17:17Speaker 2: posting maybe three times a week out on each one
- 17:21Speaker 2: of our social channels, Well, what I hope you are
- 17:25Speaker 2: not doing is just breaking straws and saying, oh, whoever
- 17:30Speaker 2: draws the shortest straw is going to be our social
- 17:32Speaker 2: media guru, but instead really taking time to sit down
- 17:39Speaker 2: and really determine maybe who on your team has an
- 17:42Speaker 2: interest in this, whose skill set may be best suited
- 17:47Speaker 2: for this, who has the time to do it, or
- 17:52Speaker 2: is there maybe a third party company that could become
- 17:57Speaker 2: your who for you helping you achieve whatever that goal
- 18:02Speaker 2: might be. Another thing that I think is super important
- 18:07Speaker 2: to think about, and this is a hard one I
- 18:10Speaker 2: think as business owners, as office managers, even as team members,
- 18:16Speaker 2: sometimes is that concept of we cannot do it alone.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Even the best of us, even the best of the best,
- 18:25Speaker 2: the most successful business owners out there, the most successful doctors,
- 18:30Speaker 2: the most successful consultants, whoever you want to compare yourself against.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Everybody has got a coach or a who in their
- 18:41Speaker 2: life that is helping them move to the next level.
- 18:44Speaker 2: And that's the thing that I really want to bring
- 18:48Speaker 2: home for each of you, is that it is so
- 18:52Speaker 2: important that we not get caught up on while I
- 18:57Speaker 2: should be able to do this all. And I think
- 19:01Speaker 2: especially if I happen to have any women doctors out
- 19:04Speaker 2: there that are listening or women team members out there.
- 19:07Speaker 2: So many times, you know, I have got people who say, well,
- 19:11Speaker 2: I should be able to be this really great mom
- 19:13Speaker 2: and still have this really successful practice and still get
- 19:17Speaker 2: the laundry done and still be home to you know,
- 19:20Speaker 2: make sure that dinner gets on or whatnot. And here's
- 19:22Speaker 2: the deal. Whether it's a coach, whether it's somebody to
- 19:26Speaker 2: just help you clean toilets in the house so you've
- 19:29Speaker 2: got time to go to the park and play with
- 19:31Speaker 2: the kids, all of that is okay if it helps
- 19:35Speaker 2: us achieve our goals and whatever that is. So I
- 19:39Speaker 2: like to talk to a lot of times to my
- 19:41Speaker 2: docs about it's okay to get to a point where
- 19:45Speaker 2: you have to rely on a CPA or a business
- 19:49Speaker 2: bookkeeper to get your books done so that you don't
- 19:52Speaker 2: have to do quick books on Saturday nights and on
- 19:55Speaker 2: the weekends. Or to have a third party company maybe
- 19:58Speaker 2: help do your aligner treatment planning, or to have an
- 20:04Speaker 2: AI remote monitoring company help respond to text messages to
- 20:10Speaker 2: your patients when they've got a really simple question that
- 20:15Speaker 2: doesn't require an actual physical person to put eyes on that.
- 20:20Speaker 2: And so I just want to give you permission to
- 20:25Speaker 2: look at ways to not have to rely on yourself
- 20:29Speaker 2: when you're looking at trying to set your goals and
- 20:32Speaker 2: get your goals achieved for the next year. And really,
- 20:36Speaker 2: what I want you guys to do is really think about,
- 20:40Speaker 2: especially as doctors and office managers or directors and the
- 20:45Speaker 2: practices or whatnot, how do you stop being the bottleneck
- 20:51Speaker 2: and pass the ball. How do you be able to
- 20:56Speaker 2: rely and connect and involve your team or identify and
- 21:02Speaker 2: search out third party companies to really be able to
- 21:07Speaker 2: help you move and achieve the goals that you have set.
- 21:13Speaker 2: I'm sure many of you have probably seen this before,
- 21:17Speaker 2: but there is kind of this higherarchy of needs that
- 21:22Speaker 2: every person has. And the first and basic is just
- 21:27Speaker 2: every single person has a physiological need to just have
- 21:33Speaker 2: their needs met. We have to be fed, we have
- 21:36Speaker 2: to all ideally looking to have a warm place to
- 21:39Speaker 2: lay down, and security and safety in our lives. Everybody,
- 21:44Speaker 2: as we kind of move up the hierarchy here, we've
- 21:47Speaker 2: got a desire to have love and have belonging. And
- 21:51Speaker 2: we see that in our teams. People want to be
- 21:54Speaker 2: on your team because they want to be a part
- 21:57Speaker 2: of something. Otherwise, if they don't want to be a
- 22:01Speaker 2: part of something, they're not going to last long on
- 22:03Speaker 2: your team. And I think that that's really important and
- 22:07Speaker 2: something I talk to my docs a lot about is
- 22:10Speaker 2: not everybody is going to be your forever employee. Not
- 22:14Speaker 2: everybody is going to be the perfect fit. And if
- 22:17Speaker 2: they aren't, that's okay. Send them away with love, let
- 22:20Speaker 2: them go find another practice, another path in their life
- 22:25Speaker 2: that's going to allow them to be able to meet
- 22:28Speaker 2: this hierarchy of need of feeling love and feeling like
- 22:32Speaker 2: they belong somewhere. The next one is self esteem. Everybody
- 22:37Speaker 2: wants to feel good about themselves. And then the last
- 22:40Speaker 2: one is self actualization. But it really is just that
- 22:44Speaker 2: understanding of self and really being able to be like, Okay,
- 22:50Speaker 2: I know who I am, and you know you hear
- 22:52Speaker 2: this a lot. Oh, when you get into your fifties,
- 22:54Speaker 2: you really know who you are. I don't know if
- 22:56Speaker 2: that's true or not, but I can tell you that again,
- 22:59Speaker 2: the Jill in her teens is very different than the
- 23:02Speaker 2: Jill in her thirties and is very different than the
- 23:04Speaker 2: Jill in her fifties. And I think that for any
- 23:07Speaker 2: of you who have been going through life you could
- 23:09Speaker 2: echo that same thing. Now here's kind of where I
- 23:14Speaker 2: put hierarchy of business needs and where I kind of
- 23:18Speaker 2: see it in our businesses is as business owners and
- 23:22Speaker 2: as office managers and team members, we have to have
- 23:26Speaker 2: a basic comfort and hierarchy of knowing that our business
- 23:31Speaker 2: needs are being met on just the basic level of
- 23:35Speaker 2: our daily operations and our systems up to date and
- 23:39Speaker 2: in place. Do we feel good about what we have
- 23:43Speaker 2: in place to move us forward? And I will tell
- 23:47Speaker 2: you the minute that we lose this foundation in a
- 23:51Speaker 2: practice is when things start to topple. And it doesn't
- 23:54Speaker 2: always happen overnight, but I can tell you I've worked
- 23:57Speaker 2: with so many practices where we start to lose that
- 24:01Speaker 2: institutional knowledge. Maybe we've had a lot of turnover with
- 24:05Speaker 2: team members, and once we lose that daily operations, boy,
- 24:11Speaker 2: it really impacts everything above it, because all sudden our
- 24:15Speaker 2: financial stability isn't quite there. You know, the systems for
- 24:19Speaker 2: collecting our payments from insurance, Well, we used to have
- 24:22Speaker 2: this great system, but nobody knows that system anymore. Or
- 24:26Speaker 2: we used to have this great treatment coordinator who could
- 24:29Speaker 2: convert everybody, and when she didn't, she was able to
- 24:32Speaker 2: follow up and had a great system, And ooh, they
- 24:35Speaker 2: aren't here anymore. And all of a sudden, we're not
- 24:37Speaker 2: converting the way we thought we were, we aren't following
- 24:40Speaker 2: up the way we are. Oh my gosh, we haven't
- 24:42Speaker 2: got our odds patients in for the past year. So
- 24:46Speaker 2: if you just kind of see as our foundation falls out,
- 24:50Speaker 2: if we don't have these things in place, we ultimately
- 24:55Speaker 2: don't get to freedom. And I really believe that is
- 24:58Speaker 2: what everybody in our business life is ultimately searching for.
- 25:04Speaker 2: We're searching to get to a point where we've got
- 25:07Speaker 2: freedom to really do and live the way we want.
- 25:12Speaker 2: And the only way we get there is by having
- 25:15Speaker 2: the foundation under us and really making sure that we
- 25:19Speaker 2: are paying attention to that in what we are doing.
- 25:24Speaker 1: And now a word from the sponsors who make this
- 25:27Speaker 1: podcast possible. Are you thinking about opening an orthodonic practice.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I know it's a big decision, but saving twenty five
- 25:37Speaker 1: percent on the Adeck equipment you need to get started,
- 25:40Speaker 1: that's an easy one because Adeck has a special program
- 25:44Speaker 1: called smart Start designed to help you launch your first practice.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You get up to twenty five percent off your Adeck
- 25:52Speaker 1: orthodonic equipment and furniture. You also get complimentary services to
- 25:57Speaker 1: help you run and grow your business, and my favorite part,
- 26:01Speaker 1: access to the smart Start pricing for two whole years
- 26:04Speaker 1: after you open your doors. That gives you flexibility to
- 26:08Speaker 1: add more shares as your cash flow grows.
- 26:11Speaker 2: It's pretty smart.
- 26:13Speaker 1: As an orthodonist, you care about getting all the little
- 26:16Speaker 1: details right and Adeck really got it right with this program.
- 26:20Speaker 1: So starting off with the big savings on Adeck equipment
- 26:23Speaker 1: sounds good to you. The AdEx Smart Start is definitely
- 26:27Speaker 1: worth a closer look. Just follow the link in the
- 26:30Speaker 1: show notes to learn more.
- 26:37Speaker 2: So let's just talk about the hierarchies that I was
- 26:41Speaker 2: just talking about when we think about our daily operations
- 26:45Speaker 2: and our systems, some of the who's that we really
- 26:49Speaker 2: need to be thinking about are your team, your clinical assistance,
- 26:55Speaker 2: your communication coordinators, your treatment coordinators, even to the point
- 27:00Speaker 2: of your workflows that are happening in your practices, and
- 27:06Speaker 2: even some of the third party companies that you may
- 27:10Speaker 2: be relying on. This is all key. We have to
- 27:15Speaker 2: know who's in place and do they understand the systems
- 27:19Speaker 2: for us to really have a good foundation to grow upon.
- 27:24Speaker 2: The next one is when we think about that financial stability,
- 27:29Speaker 2: do we have the right pieces in place to really
- 27:33Speaker 2: understand what our business is doing. Are we just taking
- 27:38Speaker 2: you know, and looking at our business and then going
- 27:40Speaker 2: onto our Facebook groups and going, eh, what's your overhead?
- 27:43Speaker 2: And we hear the five hundred different people call out
- 27:47Speaker 2: whatever it is, but there's really no context to what
- 27:51Speaker 2: is being said. Or are we relying on professionals to
- 27:57Speaker 2: give us real data and give us real understanding of
- 28:02Speaker 2: where our practice is at and how we are actually
- 28:05Speaker 2: doing And I see this as our whos that are
- 28:09Speaker 2: our accountants or CPAs our office managers. The reporting that
- 28:14Speaker 2: you have in your operating system. When we look at
- 28:18Speaker 2: Ortho two. One of the things that I love about
- 28:21Speaker 2: the system here is the fact that you can drill
- 28:25Speaker 2: down and get too incredible reports and pull out any
- 28:30Speaker 2: bit of information that you want. There's also third party
- 28:34Speaker 2: companies that we can engage. If we want to compare
- 28:38Speaker 2: ourselves to other people, but not the Facebook group, other
- 28:42Speaker 2: people like true data, we can do that through gauge.
- 28:45Speaker 2: We can use maybe companies like Ortho FI to help
- 28:49Speaker 2: us streamline our financial processes and maybe even allow us
- 28:55Speaker 2: some financial security to just be able to know that
- 29:00Speaker 2: finances are being watched by somebody else, and if somebody
- 29:04Speaker 2: calls in sick or never comes back to work, we're
- 29:07Speaker 2: not going to have to be stressing out about how
- 29:09Speaker 2: do I build insurance or how do I get the
- 29:12Speaker 2: patient accounts collected. The next one, as we kind of
- 29:16Speaker 2: moving up our pyramid, is really thinking about your market
- 29:22Speaker 2: presence and your customer service or that patient experience. And
- 29:29Speaker 2: I think that's been a big buzzword in our industry
- 29:33Speaker 2: over the last few years now, where we are really
- 29:38Speaker 2: taking it and thinking about what do I want my
- 29:42Speaker 2: patients to experience when they come into my practice, and
- 29:45Speaker 2: what is going to make it different than the five
- 29:48Speaker 2: other doctors that are around me, And I think that
- 29:53Speaker 2: having been in this industry for so long, it really
- 29:56Speaker 2: is very different. It was a different air thirty years
- 30:01Speaker 2: ago when patients were coming in to how they're coming
- 30:05Speaker 2: in now, and patients are dating you, they're social proofing
- 30:10Speaker 2: you before they even get into your practice. You know,
- 30:13Speaker 2: there's a good chance that they've read at least three
- 30:15Speaker 2: of your reviews, They've been all over your website, they
- 30:19Speaker 2: probably talked to at least two or three friends. They
- 30:22Speaker 2: might have even asked a professional, a dentist, or somebody
- 30:26Speaker 2: in the dental community about you. So really thinking about
- 30:31Speaker 2: our messaging and our brand and what does that look
- 30:35Speaker 2: like is super important when we're thinking about that, and
- 30:39Speaker 2: the who's that we might want to be thinking about
- 30:41Speaker 2: are Maybe it's a marketing agency, Maybe it's just a
- 30:46Speaker 2: marketing coordinator within your own practice. Maybe it's a company
- 30:52Speaker 2: that is answering the phones for you so that you
- 30:56Speaker 2: know you've got a consistent message and a can assistant
- 31:00Speaker 2: tone that's going out every time a new patient calls
- 31:03Speaker 2: into your practice, whether that's through a phone call, whether
- 31:07Speaker 2: that's through a text, whether that's through an email communication.
- 31:11Speaker 2: But those are all things that are building on that
- 31:16Speaker 2: hierarchy of needs within a business. And then the next
- 31:20Speaker 2: thing I think is really when we get into that
- 31:24Speaker 2: innovation and growth, when our foundations are in place, it
- 31:28Speaker 2: starts to give us a little bit more of that freedom.
- 31:32Speaker 2: And we're going to talk about freedom but to grow.
- 31:36Speaker 2: And I think that there is a point I can
- 31:38Speaker 2: tell you as a business owner. I've been a part
- 31:41Speaker 2: of a business accountability group for the last five years.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I get up every Wednesday and I'm on a call
- 31:48Speaker 2: at six point thirty in the morning with a group
- 31:51Speaker 2: of professionals outside of our industry because I'm committed to
- 31:57Speaker 2: growth in my business mindset, and I'm committed to growth personally,
- 32:02Speaker 2: And I would encourage each of you as doctors and
- 32:06Speaker 2: team members, there are ways that you can pour into
- 32:10Speaker 2: growth for yourself. There's nothing that says just a doctor
- 32:13Speaker 2: needs to read a book, or just a doctor needs
- 32:16Speaker 2: to be a part of a business accountability group, or
- 32:20Speaker 2: just the office manager is the only one that's responsible
- 32:24Speaker 2: for personally growing and becoming better at being you. So
- 32:31Speaker 2: I would encourage you when you start to see all
- 32:33Speaker 2: of these things in place, this is just naturally the
- 32:36Speaker 2: next step and I can't say it too many more times,
- 32:40Speaker 2: but I think that doctors and and office managers, any
- 32:44Speaker 2: chance you get to pour into your team members, give
- 32:48Speaker 2: them opportunities to go to continuing education, give them opportunities
- 32:53Speaker 2: to see the bigger vision of the practice and to
- 32:56Speaker 2: see that there is a path forward in their career.
- 33:01Speaker 2: Make sure that your teams understand that there is a
- 33:04Speaker 2: career in orthodonics and it isn't just a job that
- 33:09Speaker 2: they're holding on too until they get to whatever they
- 33:13Speaker 2: perceive to be their next career. And then finally, I
- 33:16Speaker 2: think at the top of that pyramid is really that freedom.
- 33:20Speaker 2: And that's where I think all of us as business owners,
- 33:24Speaker 2: and I even think people who are very happy with
- 33:28Speaker 2: the career that they have chosen in orthodonics. We get
- 33:31Speaker 2: to this point where you're free to focus. Life is good,
- 33:37Speaker 2: Life feels good, You enjoy your job, you enjoy what
- 33:41Speaker 2: you're doing, and it just gives you the freedom to
- 33:45Speaker 2: then do that next thing, whatever that is. Maybe it's
- 33:49Speaker 2: learning to play the piano, maybe it is taking up painting.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Maybe it is giving of your time in a way
- 33:56Speaker 2: that you never thought you'd be able to because you
- 33:59Speaker 2: never thought you would get to the point where you
- 34:01Speaker 2: actually have freedom. So I think about this and I
- 34:04Speaker 2: bring this all the way back to the beginning. Is
- 34:08Speaker 2: if you can truly just think about your goals and
- 34:12Speaker 2: not in just we need to do this to do this,
- 34:16Speaker 2: but really think about it in that hierarchy of business,
- 34:20Speaker 2: and the goals get you along the way in that hierarchy.
- 34:25Speaker 2: But if you can think about it's not about me,
- 34:28Speaker 2: but it's about who do I put in place that
- 34:32Speaker 2: is really going to help, I believe, take you to
- 34:36Speaker 2: that next level. And I'm going to challenge each of
- 34:38Speaker 2: you to really look at that and say, what can
- 34:42Speaker 2: I do differently? What can we do differently, and who
- 34:46Speaker 2: can I put in place to help us achieve the
- 34:50Speaker 2: goals that we're looking for, because I don't want it
- 34:53Speaker 2: to be ego and just you as the doctor thinking
- 34:57Speaker 2: you have to do it all, whether it's ego or
- 34:59Speaker 2: not Superman or Superwoman's syndrome. Next thing is we kind
- 35:04Speaker 2: of finish this up that I really want to jump
- 35:07Speaker 2: in and go into. Is I know I've talked a
- 35:11Speaker 2: lot about who's as in real people companies that have
- 35:15Speaker 2: real people, But I do want each of you to
- 35:19Speaker 2: really think about AI and I know this has been
- 35:22Speaker 2: the hot button. We've been talking about this at a
- 35:26Speaker 2: lot of the big seminars for the last couple of
- 35:28Speaker 2: years now. But I am going to give you just
- 35:33Speaker 2: some very simple practical ways if you have not started
- 35:39Speaker 2: embracing AI in your practice. And this is for anybody
- 35:44Speaker 2: in the practice, but I'm going to really encourage you
- 35:47Speaker 2: guys to really take the challenge to look at what
- 35:53Speaker 2: are some ways that you can bring AI into your business.
- 35:57Speaker 2: It's hard when you have to get embracing something new,
- 36:01Speaker 2: but oh my gosh, is it wonderful when it works
- 36:04Speaker 2: and it works really well. And I definitely believe that
- 36:09Speaker 2: AI is the future. I think that a lot of
- 36:13Speaker 2: people have some concerns about what AI is and how
- 36:18Speaker 2: do we use it and this that or the other.
- 36:20Speaker 2: But I'm going to just encourage you guys to tiptoe
- 36:23Speaker 2: through the tulips here a little bit with me, and
- 36:26Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about just two AI programs that
- 36:29Speaker 2: I think can really help your practices out. And the
- 36:33Speaker 2: first one is chat GPT, And I really believe if
- 36:37Speaker 2: you are not using this, you should have a business,
- 36:41Speaker 2: a professional Chat GPT account for your practice that you
- 36:46Speaker 2: are all using and whether you're using it to help
- 36:51Speaker 2: you do different tasks. And I'm going to talk about
- 36:53Speaker 2: one specifically, and that I'm going to talk about is
- 36:57Speaker 2: social media because this is the that I feel like
- 37:02Speaker 2: most of my practices really this is a hard thing
- 37:08Speaker 2: that we're going to go all in and put a
- 37:10Speaker 2: lot of money towards a social media strategy by hiring
- 37:15Speaker 2: a big company, or we're going to just kind of
- 37:19Speaker 2: do it but not really dive in and do it
- 37:23Speaker 2: and do it well. And I just believe that this
- 37:25Speaker 2: is such a great tool. So I'm going to just
- 37:28Speaker 2: show you an example of how your practice. Let's say
- 37:33Speaker 2: you've decided, okay, we're going to our goal is to
- 37:37Speaker 2: just be better at doing social media in the practice,
- 37:41Speaker 2: and you've elected your team member that's going to be
- 37:44Speaker 2: the lucky one that is going to start doing the
- 37:47Speaker 2: social media for the practice. But they may be really
- 37:51Speaker 2: good at their own personal social media, but have they
- 37:55Speaker 2: done business social media before? Do they really understand practice.
- 38:00Speaker 2: So one of the things that I suggest doing is
- 38:03Speaker 2: going in and asking chat GPT to be and we're
- 38:08Speaker 2: going to give chat GPT a role to be the
- 38:11Speaker 2: best social media strategist. And I'm going to use my
- 38:15Speaker 2: company as an example, and you guys would use your
- 38:19Speaker 2: own company. And I am going to first just learn
- 38:24Speaker 2: about my company, but learn about it from a social
- 38:28Speaker 2: media standpoint. So what I want you guys to watch
- 38:31Speaker 2: here is, you know, I have gone in here and
- 38:35Speaker 2: I've asked chat GPT to be the best social media strategist.
- 38:40Speaker 2: And what you can see is, in a matter of seconds,
- 38:45Speaker 2: all of a sudden, chat GPT is coming up with
- 38:50Speaker 2: all of these key things that I think are very
- 38:54Speaker 2: important for this new person who's going to be doing
- 38:58Speaker 2: your social media. Let's just say, it's coming up with
- 39:01Speaker 2: our brand voice. It's telling you, okay, this is how
- 39:05Speaker 2: you look out there socially. Here are some marketing and
- 39:10Speaker 2: social media opportunities that you may not even know about
- 39:15Speaker 2: that you have. It's giving us some visual aesthetics as
- 39:19Speaker 2: far as how we should do it when we're thinking
- 39:21Speaker 2: about this, that or the other, and even some key
- 39:25Speaker 2: messaging for our social media. So the reason I think
- 39:30Speaker 2: that this is important, you know, if you think about
- 39:32Speaker 2: what that would have taken if you would have given
- 39:35Speaker 2: somebody that assignment in your office and said, hey, I
- 39:38Speaker 2: want you to go, you know, just kind of write
- 39:41Speaker 2: all of this out for me. That's what a week
- 39:44Speaker 2: long project, a two week long project. Maybe you'll see
- 39:48Speaker 2: that a month from now, in between whatever other jobs
- 39:51Speaker 2: they're doing in the practice, or they plug it into
- 39:54Speaker 2: something like chet GPT and you've got it within a
- 39:56Speaker 2: couple minutes. Now, this was pretty cool, right, we saw it,
- 40:00Speaker 2: and it's like, wow, that was pretty amazing. But imagine
- 40:04Speaker 2: if then we went in and we said, yeah, that
- 40:07Speaker 2: was good, but I want you to do it even better,
- 40:11Speaker 2: and I'm going to give it another job, and I
- 40:16Speaker 2: want you to be a prompt engineer. And is there
- 40:20Speaker 2: anything that you would change about being the best social
- 40:24Speaker 2: media strategist to give me a better output for my results.
- 40:30Speaker 2: Guess what chat GPT says, Well, you know what, Jill,
- 40:33Speaker 2: I can sure do it better. Here we go, and
- 40:36Speaker 2: so here it is. It's kind of revising what it
- 40:41Speaker 2: just gave me. It's giving me even clearer direction on
- 40:47Speaker 2: what my business is about, what and how I should
- 40:50Speaker 2: start to position ourselves with our marketing. Now, the next
- 40:55Speaker 2: thing that I want to show you, which is pretty cool,
- 40:58Speaker 2: and again this is just kind of a fun exer
- 41:00Speaker 2: size just to help you really understand how chat GPT
- 41:04Speaker 2: works is Okay. Now what I want to do is
- 41:08Speaker 2: I want to go in and I'm going to go
- 41:11Speaker 2: in and I'm going to say, Okay, this is great,
- 41:14Speaker 2: but now I want you to again write it just
- 41:18Speaker 2: a little bit better. And now I want you to
- 41:20Speaker 2: start giving me some strategies for this. So how should
- 41:25Speaker 2: I set up my social media? What should it start
- 41:30Speaker 2: to look like? And what should I be planning on
- 41:34Speaker 2: as I am getting ready to set up my social
- 41:38Speaker 2: media strategies as we're going along, and you can kind
- 41:41Speaker 2: of see, it's pulling all of this, you guys, from
- 41:45Speaker 2: what is out there online already for you. It's just
- 41:49Speaker 2: putting it all together in a very specific way so
- 41:53Speaker 2: that your team member is going to be able to
- 41:56Speaker 2: really rock and roll with this and get out there
- 41:59Speaker 2: and going. So last thing that I want to show
- 42:03Speaker 2: you is now that we've been able to get a
- 42:07Speaker 2: real clear picture on what we want to do with
- 42:12Speaker 2: our social media and we as that new team member, Okay,
- 42:15Speaker 2: I really understand the direction of my practice and what
- 42:20Speaker 2: my goals are going to be. Now I want chat
- 42:23Speaker 2: GPT to help me come up with a calendar, because
- 42:25Speaker 2: isn't that the hardest thing? What do I post when
- 42:28Speaker 2: do I post? How do I post? All of it?
- 42:32Speaker 2: So here we go. Chat GPT is going to go
- 42:34Speaker 2: right in there for us, and it's going to set
- 42:37Speaker 2: up an optimized social media calendar for us. It's going
- 42:42Speaker 2: to tell me what my pillars are, how often I
- 42:46Speaker 2: should be posting, when the most optimized time to be
- 42:50Speaker 2: posting my posts are, when I get the most engagement,
- 42:55Speaker 2: when I should post. It's going to give me my
- 42:57Speaker 2: hashtags for best following. I mean, isn't this cool to
- 43:03Speaker 2: look at this? And again, how long is this taking us?
- 43:07Speaker 2: If I would have given this to somebody to do myself,
- 43:11Speaker 2: this could take a month for somebody to put together.
- 43:13Speaker 2: And now we're a month behind already versus boom boom boom.
- 43:17Speaker 2: Here we go. We've got everything, and we've got a
- 43:21Speaker 2: month's worth of posts. And all that we now have
- 43:25Speaker 2: to do is say, team, guess what it's social media Day.
- 43:28Speaker 2: We're coming in. I'm coming in tomorrow. Everybody comes social
- 43:32Speaker 2: media ready, have your hair done, have your face on.
- 43:35Speaker 2: These are going to be I'm going to snap five
- 43:38Speaker 2: different you know whatever things for our social media and
- 43:42Speaker 2: away we go. And now your social media team member
- 43:46Speaker 2: is able to get all of this accomplished maybe in
- 43:48Speaker 2: a day or two, and have everything that he or
- 43:51Speaker 2: she needs for the rest of your month. Isn't that awesome?
- 43:55Speaker 2: I mean, just look how much I mean that just
- 43:57Speaker 2: took us two minutes to get that, and I've got
- 44:00Speaker 2: an entire month's worth of social media directions. So just
- 44:05Speaker 2: something to think about with chat GPT, and just one
- 44:09Speaker 2: way that you guys can do this. Now. The other
- 44:13Speaker 2: thing that I want to just remind you about is
- 44:16Speaker 2: it's not just for social media. This is a great
- 44:20Speaker 2: way for you guys. Let's say you guys are running
- 44:22Speaker 2: an ad for hiring a new team member. It's a
- 44:25Speaker 2: great way to maybe write your ads. It's a great
- 44:28Speaker 2: way to write your SOPs. They will give you good
- 44:32Speaker 2: formats for that. You can go in there and do that.
- 44:35Speaker 2: Maybe your blogs for your web page, all these different things.
- 44:39Speaker 2: You give it an idea and boom, just like that,
- 44:42Speaker 2: you've got a blog for your website, or you've got
- 44:46Speaker 2: your scripted emails written out for every single one of
- 44:50Speaker 2: your emails that's going out of your office. So just
- 44:54Speaker 2: remember when you're using chat GPT. The tips and tricks
- 44:57Speaker 2: that go along with this is it do the research
- 45:00Speaker 2: for you it is a wealth of knowledge out there
- 45:04Speaker 2: is everything exactly perfect. Know but I will tell you
- 45:08Speaker 2: it'll get you information faster than even searching on Google.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Assign it a job. Always give it a job, and
- 45:16Speaker 2: provide context for how you want it to do the job.
- 45:19Speaker 2: Set the tone. Write this in a business professional tone.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Write this in a friendly but professional tone. Write this
- 45:30Speaker 2: in whatever it is. Give it a tone. If you
- 45:32Speaker 2: don't like it, have it, rewrite it. You know it's feelings.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Don't get hurt if you don't like what it does
- 45:37Speaker 2: for you. You don't just keep spitting it out until you
- 45:40Speaker 2: like something, and when in doubt, have it. Review and
- 45:44Speaker 2: optimize your prompt I would always say, never stick with
- 45:48Speaker 2: the first thing it gives you. Have it, make it better,
- 45:51Speaker 2: Always make it better until you feel really good about it,
- 45:54Speaker 2: and then make it your own. That's really what it
- 45:57Speaker 2: comes down to. Next, what I want to talk about,
- 46:00Speaker 2: the second tool that I think is really key for
- 46:04Speaker 2: practices is CANBA. And you know, again, I don't get
- 46:08Speaker 2: any kickbacks from talking about these companies. I probably should
- 46:11Speaker 2: have said that right from the beginning. I just find
- 46:14Speaker 2: these tools, and especially because I work with so many
- 46:17Speaker 2: startup practices, these are inexpensive tools and even free tools
- 46:23Speaker 2: that really help practices do things and do them better.
- 46:27Speaker 2: So CANBA is another tool that I highly suggest using
- 46:32Speaker 2: in practices especially, And I'm going to kind of stick
- 46:36Speaker 2: on the social media vibe here where now you've got
- 46:40Speaker 2: your team member that went through did all of their research,
- 46:44Speaker 2: got a calendar ready to go, they've taken their pictures,
- 46:47Speaker 2: They've done all they need to do. But now I
- 46:49Speaker 2: need to build a template. We can go into canba
- 46:53Speaker 2: here and believe it or not, CANBA has a free
- 46:56Speaker 2: account that you can use and or you can use
- 46:59Speaker 2: a big business account. I would suggest paying. It's a
- 47:02Speaker 2: very nominal fee for a business account. But what you
- 47:06Speaker 2: can do in here is you can get your posts
- 47:09Speaker 2: ready to go. And the beautiful thing is when you
- 47:13Speaker 2: make these posts and you get them set up, they
- 47:17Speaker 2: can post and make it sized right for each of
- 47:21Speaker 2: your social media channels. So you can make one post
- 47:24Speaker 2: and have it sized right to go on Facebook or
- 47:28Speaker 2: have it go on Instagram or whatever you want to
- 47:32Speaker 2: do there. So again we're just going to quickly show
- 47:36Speaker 2: how easily it is to just come in here make
- 47:40Speaker 2: a quick social post. And the cool thing about CANVA
- 47:44Speaker 2: two is you can set up a brand guide so
- 47:48Speaker 2: you can go in, you can set that up. You
- 47:51Speaker 2: can say, okay, here's my brand colors. So any time
- 47:55Speaker 2: I make anything, I always want it to be in
- 47:58Speaker 2: my brand guide. I don't want to have to worry about, ooh,
- 48:02Speaker 2: what color was that orange that we use? Or ogs
- 48:06Speaker 2: what color is that pink or whatnot. You can very
- 48:09Speaker 2: easily add in video, you can very easily add in
- 48:13Speaker 2: static photos. But you can get this done in seconds.
- 48:19Speaker 2: The next thing that I think is really cool is
- 48:21Speaker 2: you can also create multiple posts at once. And again
- 48:26Speaker 2: I'm not teaching necessarily on how to do canva, but
- 48:29Speaker 2: it's more I just want you to understand that there
- 48:33Speaker 2: are some pretty amazing tools within this really inexpensive tool,
- 48:39Speaker 2: and we don't necessarily have to pay big companies to
- 48:43Speaker 2: help us do this. There's a lot of who's when
- 48:47Speaker 2: we talk about AI, who's that are right here within
- 48:51Speaker 2: these really simple programs. So right here we decided, okay,
- 48:55Speaker 2: I want all of these inspirational posts. I'm going to
- 48:58Speaker 2: quickly pick mon I template. I'm going to add each
- 49:02Speaker 2: of those quotes onto them, and again real quickly, boom
- 49:07Speaker 2: boom boom, I'm going to book create and here we go.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I just set up and created ten inspirational posts in
- 49:17Speaker 2: a matter of a minute or two. And here we go.
- 49:21Speaker 2: We're going to see this, and here we go. We've
- 49:25Speaker 2: got ten different posts that's now ready. If one of
- 49:29Speaker 2: our pillars was inspirational, I've got ten days worth the
- 49:34Speaker 2: posts already done. And I didn't even have to think
- 49:37Speaker 2: of the quotes. I just put it into Canba had
- 49:39Speaker 2: to do it for me, and I just built the posts.
- 49:42Speaker 2: And the really cool thing is there is so much
- 49:44Speaker 2: free training on this and YouTube on other things that again,
- 49:50Speaker 2: these are just these really fun tools that just allows
- 49:54Speaker 2: AI to help us. And this is the last one
- 49:58Speaker 2: that I'll talk about as we kind of read up here.
- 50:01Speaker 2: But how many of you have been in and I
- 50:04Speaker 2: think that the least favorite thing to do is giving
- 50:07Speaker 2: oral hygiene instructions. Let's just say so, this is a
- 50:10Speaker 2: really cool thing. In Canba. We can go in and
- 50:13Speaker 2: we can get an avatar here, and with our avatar,
- 50:17Speaker 2: we can have it speak and you can see kind
- 50:21Speaker 2: of stiles everyone.
- 50:22Speaker 3: It is so great to see your smiling faces at
- 50:24Speaker 3: this conference. We hope that you were learning a lot
- 50:27Speaker 3: about how to implement AI into your practice. Can you
- 50:30Speaker 3: give the amazing Jill Allen a round of applause. I'm
- 50:33Speaker 3: sure that you can already see the potential that something
- 50:36Speaker 3: like this has to offer. You could use this AI
- 50:38Speaker 3: to generate a personalized video for new patients welcoming them
- 50:42Speaker 3: to your practice. We're even explaining some of your office policies.
- 50:46Speaker 3: The potential is limitless.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Isn't that cool? I mean, I just I look at
- 50:51Speaker 2: that and I think we didn't have to pay a model.
- 50:54Speaker 2: We didn't have to ask a team member to spend
- 50:57Speaker 2: time out of their day recording. We're able to go
- 51:00Speaker 2: in and generate somebody in through CANVA that's in an
- 51:06Speaker 2: AI generated person too. Like we just said, this could
- 51:10Speaker 2: be for oral hygiene instructions. This could be for an
- 51:14Speaker 2: array of different things.
- 51:17Speaker 1: And now a word from the sponsors who make this
- 51:20Speaker 1: podcast possible. Hey, docs, let's talk about smile Sweet because
