- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Can you remember that moment?
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: That moment when you thought, I could start my own business doing this.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Or maybe it was a bit more like, oh, I could make money with this, or I hate my job so much, how can I make money doing something else?
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: Whatever you said, here's one thing that I want you to notice.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: In that exact moment, you saw, you felt, you sensed a different future.
- 0:26SPEAKER_00: Even if it wasn't super clear, you felt it.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: And if there wasn't a part of you that didn't think you could do it, you never would have tried.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: You wouldn't be here listening to me right now.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: And here's what I want you to visualize I want you to visualize that in that moment of pure possibility, of infinite potential, that the feeling frequency was so strong that it went out into the universe and a star lit up like a pinball machine and was like, okay, here we are, here I am, waiting for it to be to become manifest based on the frequency that you're putting out there.
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: Because the frequency was so strong in that moment, the belief was so strong, the curiosity was there, and somewhere in the universal matrix, a light lit up of pure potential, and that still exists.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So today we're going to talk about what makes that light dim and why I call the likes of me and you the accidental entrepreneur.
- 1:34SPEAKER_00: So if you're ready, let's dive right in.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: I really hope that that introduction allowed you to go back to a time when you felt really ignited.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: I remember very, very clearly my experience.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: I had decided to train as a personal trainer.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: Now at this particular time, I was earning£7.50 working as an office clerk.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: Me and my, we weren't married at the time, but me and my husband husband were living in our overdraft.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: The children were maybe like, I don't know, maybe seven or eight, I can't remember now.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: And I came into£2,000 and I was like, right, I'm not gonna waste it, I'm gonna retrain.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And at the time they were building a brand new cyclopark just up the road from me.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: It wasn't even built yet.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: We knew what it was gonna be.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: I found out that it was being built by the council.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: I don't know, I can't even remember how I did this, but I found out who was in charge.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: I arranged to meet them up there and I was like, right, I want to be your fitness instructor.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: I said, I don't care if you charge me per hour for the room.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: I don't care if you want to pay me to run the classes, I just want to let you know that I want to be your fitness instructor.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And that's how I started.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And for at least two to three months, I paid£15 an hour to rent a room.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: And the only people that came to my classes were my husband, my twin sister, and my two children.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: And then a couple of friends from kickboxing came.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: And within six months, I had up to 40 women a week coming through my classes that went from two classes a week to six.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: And it all started with a little idea and a lot of why not?
- 3:06SPEAKER_00: Why not just give this a go?
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: And this is what I call the accidental entrepreneur.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: You have had an experience in your life or a personal transformation, or there's something that you're really passionate about, and you're just like, I'm gonna give it a go.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: It's an extension and an expression of who you are.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: This is fundamental to the accidental entrepreneur.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: They're not doing something just to make money, they're doing something because they it lights them up, it's important to them, it's a way of serving.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: Like there's something about it for them that they can't imagine not doing it or not talking about it.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: I also noticed my clients that most of them are very visual, kinesthetic people, so they so they get quite strong visions, they feel things a lot, which is why this journey is so much harder for us because we feel things at a very deep level.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: And the identity that drives a lot of the work is an identity of passion, of it started from just like a possibility, from a why not, a lot of courage and lots of curiosity.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: The second question.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: So the first question is can you remember the time?
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: The second question is this what blew that spark out?
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: What made you go from being in absolute possibility and you have to recognise that there's a part of you that thought it was possible, otherwise you wouldn't have tried it, and if you're listening to this, you wouldn't still be here doing it.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: So that part of you that thinks you can make this work still actually exists.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: But what blows the spark out is when that you discovered that passion is not enough.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: There are a million skill sets for you to learn.
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: You have to be trained like the freaking SAS and emotional resilience.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: You must be the master of your thoughts.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: You must know how to incom increase your capacity or your bandwidth for the amount of time that you've got to put into it and the challenge you're gonna face, and the emotions, and the mental the mental challenge that comes with it.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: No one told you that starting your business your own business will bring up all of your limiting beliefs right to the surface over and over again.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Make you question everything, that you'll often feel lonely, and that it will be the biggest personal development journey of your life if you choose to take it.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: And what I see is the real problem for accidental entrepreneurs who love what they do, but they've got stuck in this loop of losing the spark because they don't have the identity, and because they're hanging on to an identity that doesn't support their vision that's built on a passion.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Let me say that in a different way.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: So the identity that you've got right now doesn't support you turning your passion vision into something that creates sustainable money, financial independence, and autonomy autonomy, and lets you live your life fully while you build the business to the place the stage where you want it to get at.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: So let me give you my personal example.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: So when I decided to go up there and say I want to be your personal trainer, like I say, I was already working£7.50 an hour.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: I hadn't been financially independent since having my children when I was 25.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And I think I was 40, what would I have been?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Like in late 30s when I when I very I think it was 2012, so late 30s, when I decided, like, I'm gonna just why not?
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: Let's see what happens.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: I'll do a couple of fitness classes.
- 6:20SPEAKER_00: There was never an intention of doing it full-time, it was just like I'll make some extra money on the side doing some fitness classes at night time or at the weekend.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: I was also carrying a very heavy shame identity around having been a single parent claiming benefits for a couple of years.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Um, I was carrying a lot of um limiting beliefs about having had disordered eating for over 20 years of my life.
- 6:42SPEAKER_00: I'd been in very crappy relationships.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: So when I look back now, my whole life had been a variety of different ways of just playing out all of my limiting beliefs.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And it didn't occur to me, because I didn't know there were limiting beliefs at the time, I thought they were just my thoughts and I thought they belonged to me.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: It didn't occur to me that when I started a business, this stuff was going to come up again and again and again until I dealt with it.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: So when I started going into business and it was evident that I was gonna be able to do more with it than just run a few fitness classes, when I needed to feel like an authority, when I needed to ask people to pay me for that authority, when I wanted and needed to sell my services online and in person, when I needed to believe that I could get someone's results, all the while, whilst I was trying to learn tech and funnels and copywriting and course building and podcasting and all of those other things, the overarching thought that I just kept having is this is not for people like me.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: People like me don't become successful like this, and that was the thing that just kept driving me all the time.
- 7:40SPEAKER_00: Now I didn't quit.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: If I had, I wouldn't be here.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: But this is why I do what I do now.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: Because the result is that when you keep running that model of behaviour and that model of thinking, is that your worth becomes intrinsically linked with numbers.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: What you earn, what you charge, the number of followers you've got, your email open rate, the number of views you have, it all comes down to numbers.
- 8:06SPEAKER_00: And once you're on this slide, it's a very slippery slope down.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: It's very, very, very difficult to get out of it if you're using the wrong strategy.
- 8:16SPEAKER_00: And actually, there is no outside strategy or result that fixes it permanently.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: I remember the first time I had my first£50,000 year, and I think the next year I probably did£25.
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Like it didn't fix anything, it didn't fix the problem inside.
- 8:33SPEAKER_00: And the other thing with this model is what you'll do is you'll buy more strategies.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Now, sometimes that's that strategy is oh, I'm gonna go and get another certification because then I'll believe more in what I do, and because they've got another certification, people will believe more in me.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: Let me just put a caveat on this right now.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: People believe your energy, they don't give a shit about your certifications.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: You could have you could be the most qualified person in the room, but if your energy wreaks of disbelief and insufficiency, people are not buying, they buy your personal power.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: I digress.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: So you might buy my certifications, but you might buy more blueprints and more steps and more strategies.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I have spent over£150,000 doing that model, just to let you know, right?
- 9:17SPEAKER_00: But just like a building is only as strong as the foundation it's built on and the environment that it's in, like you could build a foundation for one part of the world, right?
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: But you put it in another part of the world, and that foundation is not going to be adequate.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: And in business, you need to be able to build the foundation so strong that anything could happen and you would come back.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: That's the important part.
- 9:42SPEAKER_00: Not all foundations are created equal, right?
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: So just like the building is only as strong as the foundation, buying a course doesn't mean that you'll do it.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: It also means that even if you did do it, your results aren't guaranteed because thoughts create results.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: It's the attitude behind the action that creates the results.
- 10:01SPEAKER_00: The friction that you're holding in your body that decreases your frequency, and frequency is the creative energy of the universe.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: So I tell my clients all the time sometimes you've just got to change the action.
- 10:13SPEAKER_00: More than more often than not, you can just change the attitude behind the action, and sometimes you need to change the action and the attitude.
- 10:22SPEAKER_00: So I want to share with you three principles that I teach my clients.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: And if my clients don't get on board with this at the start, like my one-to-one clients, then we're probably a no-go, right?
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Because if they're looking for a quick fix, I'm not your gal.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: If they're looking for something just to make them feel better, I'm not your gal.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: So here are the three principles that I would encourage you to take on board today.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Is that your business success will only ever be a mirror to the level of your self-sufficiency.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: So if you don't feel sufficient in who you are, if you don't have belief, if you don't have certainty in your authority and what you do and how you deliver and the results you can get people, your business cannot ever exceed beyond that.
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: Number two is you have to be willing to develop a new identity.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: The one that you're coming into the business with, the accidental entrepreneur, is not going to get you to embodied CEO.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: The embodied CEO is a brand new identity that you have to develop.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: Using your core values, using the things that are important to you and your passion, but there are going to be so many different parts of your identity you're going to have to develop if you want to make money doing your passion project.
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: And number three is you have to play the long game, which ironically speeds up results.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: People don't want to hear that, but it does.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: So, what does this actually look like in action?
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: So, first off, you need to know that limiting beliefs do not live in your brain, they are an embodied experience.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: All beliefs are an embodied experience.
- 11:41SPEAKER_00: But when we talk about mindset and limiting beliefs, there's this kind of preconception that you just go into your brain and you rewire your brain and hey presto, you're all fixed.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: It does not work like that.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: I spent a lot of time and a lot of money doing that, and I see a lot of um people in this industry, in the in the the small business industry, doing the same thing, spending lots of money on mindset and coming up against the same thing over and over again, or they exhaust themselves in the process and they do it by grit.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: None of that is sustainable.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: The embodied experience means it lives in your body as well.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: So you cannot just rely on thought power.
- 12:17SPEAKER_00: Like willpower is thought power, it doesn't work.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: You have to be able to get into what I call somatic reshaping.
- 12:23SPEAKER_00: So we release and rewire at the body level as well as the brain.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: Now we do this what I would call like more passively using somatic practices on the mat, very slow, comfortable, controlled, tiny movements.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Nothing like yoga, but it is just done on a mat.
- 12:40SPEAKER_00: Normally, most of them are done laying down, sometimes we use a chair, but it's just you put your body into a space of complete comfort and safety, and she will release deep held, deep-rooted limitations and trauma and stress that's been living in your body that you haven't been able to outrun with your brain.
- 12:56SPEAKER_00: We also do it more conscious and unconscious work using NLP techniques.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: So we are consciously doing the NLP techniques, but the work is being done unconsciously, rewiring the brain.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: And then I teach my clients how to have more somatic awareness.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: And then always leading the party, the conductor of the party is psychology mastery, which means your ability to be able to direct your brain to a place of resourcefulness so you can always stay in forward momentum.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: And sometimes that forward momentum looks like acceptance and where I am.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: Sometimes that forward momentum, I've just said to a client, I was like, for the next couple of weeks, I just want you to prioritize getting on the mat.
- 13:33SPEAKER_00: Don't be chasing things, don't get stuck in action, please get on the mat because she's completely dysregulated.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: And once I can see and feel, and she can see and feel that she's somewhat more dysregulated, then we'll start taking action steps on top of that.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: So I want to finish off this conversation with you today by just sharing a couple of things with you that I've had from clients recently.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And the reason I'm sharing this is because inside my coaching, I've got a you can work me once in one, and I I have just opened a group called Inevitable, and I'll tell you about that in just one second.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: Is that I make it very clear that I you I work with you to create yourself as the inevitable success creator.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: Your success becomes inevitable because you become the person that makes it so, because you release every limit all the limitations to your success, and then there is nothing you cannot achieve.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: But what inevit is different about inevitable as well is like a fully supportive kind of like life coaching experience as well.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: We don't just ever ever talk about business.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: And I had one of my clients go into um into the group this week, and she shared something so beautiful, and I want to share it with you now.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: So she said, What we call the beginning is often the end, and to make it an end is to make a beginning.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: T.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: S.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Elliot.
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: Last night I had the last one-to-one coaching call of this particular set of coaching.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: I wanted to share what is true about the last year for me and celebrate how Louise has helped and supported me with her incredible talent to get to the heart of the matter.
- 14:58SPEAKER_00: In the last year, I have shown up for my coaching calls, group and one-to-one and all the retreats.
- 15:02SPEAKER_00: I've done more exercise than ever before in my life.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: I have had less alcohol, I have had less sugar.
- 15:07SPEAKER_00: I wore an amazing dress to wedding party and was overdressed and did it anyway.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: I have taken less notice of my past, forgiven and looked forward and welcomed my future self.
- 15:15SPEAKER_00: I have said no to jobs I didn't want to do.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: I have left friendships that were no longer healthy.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: I stood up to bullies and for justice by taking my ex-landlord to court.
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: I attended court by myself with no friend support by choice.
- 15:26SPEAKER_00: I didn't go into this false guilt and shame and rose above and supported myself.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: I have visioned and lived the life I want and promoted me.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: I have created my own wealth and invested in me.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: I have travelled independently.
- 15:38SPEAKER_00: I have paid double what I was paying before for my rent by myself and had had to and have extended my contract because it is such an amazing place for me to live and I want to live here.
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: I have allowed myself to really want things.
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: I supported a friend to move her life forward in ways she never imagined she could, and she is flourishing.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: I stood up to my malicious allegations, to malicious allegations, and didn't completely crumble at the thought of standing up for myself.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: I celebrated new moons, half moons, full moons, held at the moon, foraged and loved the countryside.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: I believed in me as an in as an independent woman who does not need a relationship to save me or provide for me.
- 16:10SPEAKER_00: I can do this for myself.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: I have been vulnerable.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: I have felt alone and been okay with that.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: I have worked on forgiveness and letting go.
- 16:17SPEAKER_00: I am grateful that sometimes I'm a mystery to myself, that I don't have to explain myself, and that I can rise from the earth dancing and I can be a wizard.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: I could go on.
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: Thank you to Louise and to everyone, every single one of you in the group with love and excitement for the next year ahead.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: This literally made me cry.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: It made me cry when she read it to me, it made me cry when I read it in the post this morning, and I'm kind of almost crying now.
- 16:39SPEAKER_00: And I wanted to share one more with you.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: So this is the power of like when you step into your power and people are like paths align.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: Like at the moment, I'm really pretty bad at marketing.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna lie.
- 16:50SPEAKER_00: It's never been my strong point, and it's my skill set for this year.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: And I met this this lovely, lovely woman completely um serendipitously in another group, and we met at an event, and um I invited her into the group, and she's come into the group, and she's just signed up to do one a year's one-to-one with me.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: And the first thing I want to share with you is one of the, I've just got to get it up here, one of the the one of the initial posts that she wrote uh in the in the group.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Because when you sign up one-to-one with me, you get access to the inevitable group for as long as you're working with me one-to-one.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: So she said, This is just getting silly now with a laughing face.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: As I mentioned in my roundup post last week, I have gone from very little income and inquiries for the majority of this year, so this was on the 11th of September, to several inquiries coming in and then signing a new decent website project.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: Today, that client just upgraded their package on a call with me to include branding, which now totals the same that much money in one project as what I've earned all year.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: And it's double what I've previously charged for most previous branding and web projects.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes, and I sold a template yesterday and booked an SEO project earlier in this week.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: There's still a lot to work to do, as Louise knows, on upgrading my identity and self-concept to calmly manage all this new work and still have time for rest.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: But I am so very grateful for the opportunity to learn in the heart.
- 18:06SPEAKER_00: And she recently sent me something over as a testimonial, and here's what she said.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: Louise is truly one of a kind, and I'll be forever grateful that I came into her world.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: After years of therapy and having had previous coaching, I was still experiencing high levels of anxiety and procrastination that were hugely impacting my business, my confidence, and my ability to truly enjoy life.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: As a sensitive person who feels things very deeply, I had an idea that I was holding a lot in my body.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: So Louise's combination of coaching, somatics, and NLP really appealed to me.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: What I wasn't prepared for at all was just how potent and impactful Louise's unique coaching style methods would be, because they get right into the underlying reasons behind why we do or more often don't do what we do.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: This goes far beyond why you feel stuck.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: This is truly an investment that pays back over a lifetime, and she really does help to make your success inevitable.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: So if that wet your whistle a little bit, my friend, you will be excited to know that currently the inevitable doors are open to my group programme experience.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: It's not a programme, it's a group experience, it's a journey.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: They're only currently open until Saturday, and I do apologise for the lateness of this podcast.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: I have been really rather unwell, and I've prioritised healing as I have my first Hyrox competition tomorrow.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: In fact, in the next seven minutes, I'm driving to Birmingham to do this, do that said thing.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: So, um, and I haven't really been, as I said, promoting it very much online.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: The doors are open, you can join for three months, six months, or twelve months.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: It can cost you as little as£64 a month.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: All the details are in the sales page, which I'm gonna put in the show notes of this uh of this podcast.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Um, and the pricing will be going up.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: So the doors will close on Saturday, and then when I launch it in November, the prices will go up, and all those details are on the sales page.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: So listen, I just want to let you know, if you are an accidental entrepreneur, you're my kind of person.
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: You started something with a vision, a passion, that you saw a possibility, you felt it, and there is a part of you that knows you can make it happen as you wouldn't have started and you wouldn't still be here.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: I want you to stop spending money on strategies that you think are going to get you the answer, and I want you to recognise that to go from the accidental entrepreneur to the embodied CEO, it's an identity shift.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Once you have that, there is no result you can't create in any area of your life as well as your business.
- 20:23SPEAKER_00: So please go check out the sales page.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: If you've got any questions, you'll find my email on there, and I very much hope to see you inevitable by the end of this month.
- 20:32SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for listening.
- 20:33SPEAKER_00: I hope you enjoyed this episode.
- 20:34SPEAKER_00: I really loved recording it for you, and I'll speak to you again in the next episode of the Be My Lobster podcast, but I'm not sure.
