- 0:00Speaker: Good morning.
- 0:01Speaker: Nice to be here.
- 0:02Speaker: Nice to have woken up this morning.
- 0:08Speaker: Become alert enough to ascertain there are things that can be done in our world.
- 0:16Speaker: We can begin in such a manner as to help propel ourselves into greater states of being, of a greater ability to be inclusive of what we need do, of having a better idea.
- 0:39Speaker: You might call this mindful meditation.
- 0:43Speaker: You could also call it common sense.
- 0:47Speaker: You could also call it an aspiration for self-improvement.
- 0:53Speaker: All apply to this.
- 0:55Speaker: Those in our community, those of our world.
- 1:09Speaker: Because we need to be honest.
- 1:11Speaker: We need to realize the merits we each possess and the potential of faults.
- 1:19Speaker: It is not hard to find examples of all of these different things.
- 1:24Speaker: It is in the news and the personalities are here for us to examine in a state of non-biased witnessing, consideration in every way, in every shape, in every form.
- 1:47Speaker: We see the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly.
- 1:54Speaker: We see it all.
- 1:56Speaker: What does one want to perceive within the context of one's individuality and one's own mind is another matter altogether.
- 2:05Speaker: Judge not that ye be not judged.
- 2:08Speaker: Know thyself.
- 2:13Speaker: To thine own self be true.
- 2:18Speaker: To be true to oneself means to be true to your family.
- 2:23Speaker: It means to be true to your community.
- 2:28Speaker: The community at hand in one's neighborhood, expanding to the community of our world.
- 2:40Speaker: There are a great many instances where people uphold this concept, these virtues that are needed for this attainment.
- 2:54Speaker: This is not necessarily coming easy.
- 2:58Speaker: Then there are those who would abuse and use and otherwise denigrate the value of any and everything except their own selves, their own desires.
- 3:14Speaker: This is what greed is, egotism in more extreme forms.
- 3:19Speaker: What does all of this have to do with mindful meditation?
- 3:24Speaker: It has a lot to do with it.
- 3:26Speaker: What do you think mindful meditation is?
- 3:30Speaker: A state of peace, of calm?
- 3:33Speaker: A state of harmony and grace.
- 3:39Speaker: Is this what you see and feel in our world today?
- 3:44Speaker: So incumbent upon each of us then is to harbor a desire to increase this harmony and grace.
- 3:57Speaker: You don't do it by sticking one's head in the sand and ignoring what's occurring.
- 4:03Speaker: You deal with your day to day and work in a methodical path to improve oneself, one's family, one's community, mankind, Homo sapiens, all of our world.
- 4:23Speaker: It is not us exclusive, it is us sharing a world no one owns.
- 4:32Speaker: For lives, all of which are a gift from something more than any one of us, although each of us is a part of the whole.
- 4:48Speaker: Yes, be comfortable, seated.
- 5:00Speaker: First recommendation.
- 5:02Speaker: Undisturbed, number two.
- 5:06Speaker: Starting to become even more aware of one's physicality, number three.
- 5:14Speaker: Just let this play out, becoming aware of the heat emanating from one's body, easy enough.
- 5:22Speaker: Or cold.
- 5:24Speaker: Being aware of beneath the skin a sensation of the pulse as one's heart squeezes oxygenated blood through one's arteries and veins.
- 5:44Speaker: Being aware of these, just these two beginning functions, processes of one disseminating heat and one feeling one's pulse.
- 5:59Speaker: Oh.
- 6:00Speaker: Feeling one's body gently swaying with the energy of this cardiovascular action going on twenty-four hours a day.
- 6:16Speaker: Ninety thousand squeezing actions of one's heart muscle every day.
- 6:24Speaker: Taking nothing for granted now, mindful meditators, we are, and one's breathing.
- 6:34Speaker: Add this in breathing long and slow.
- 6:38Speaker: Why?
- 6:39Speaker: calming, tranquility rising, harmony, grace.
- 6:51Speaker: It is all here, always.
- 6:54Speaker: It is you and I, it is us which are absent.
- 6:59Speaker: We need not be, carry within oneself one's own aura of peace, civility, compassion, empathy, kindness, understanding for oneself, for everyone, for everything, understanding.
- 7:27Speaker: That does not mean to kowtow to behaviors or activities one doesn't approve of, believe in.
- 7:41Speaker: It means to be understanding of where this might have come from and how in our own way we can help change for the better the environment we are in.
- 7:57Speaker: This is the responsibility each of us shares.
- 8:01Speaker: Senient beings, Homo sapiens, we can help affect what's going on.
- 8:07Speaker: We can help improve our world.
- 8:12Speaker: Not only can we do this, we have a responsibility to be stewards of our world.
- 8:20Speaker: Or our world may very well indeed stop functioning as we would wish it to.
- 8:28Speaker: We see already issues with our climate.
- 8:34Speaker: When, if ever do we wake up before it is too late?
- 8:42Speaker: We think we know so much, and we do, and yet remembering, perhaps there is more to understand, to grasp.
- 8:58Speaker: How long has Homo sapiens been upon this earth?
- 9:04Speaker: A couple of hundred thousand years.
- 9:08Speaker: Evolutionary scientists say this, this final development of our capacity.
- 9:16Speaker: Yes, there's a long line before that of evolving primates, different kinds of humans, and yet a couple of hundred thousand years is a consensus.
- 9:31Speaker: And during this time of evolutionary progression, what do you think happened, let's say a hundred and fifty thousand years ago?
- 9:43Speaker: Do you think just possibly there were other great civilizations before our own, Atlantis myth, which keeps rising in our consciousness?
- 10:00Speaker: Do you think maybe this was a civilization went wrong, lost its way, or had some kind of natural cataclysmic event, or is it just something imaginative in the get-go?
- 10:17Speaker: What do you think?
- 10:20Speaker: How do you think the pyramids were built in Egypt?
- 10:24Speaker: How do you think some of the unexplainable things of our past we have records of, came into be-ing, one shape, way, or form?
- 10:37Speaker: How do you think this occurred?
- 10:39Speaker: By magic?
- 10:40Speaker: Being open-minded is important.
- 10:46Speaker: If you're asking me what I believe or think, I don't know.
- 10:50Speaker: I'm just raising these questions.
- 10:52Speaker: But I do know.
- 10:56Speaker: There are items we can look upon in our world.
- 11:02Speaker: We cannot understand how they were fabricated without scientific achievements, capabilities which we don't even possess today.
- 11:17Speaker: So how was this done?
- 11:20Speaker: Did you listen to the phrases in this last paragraph?
- 11:25Speaker: Unbeknownst to our technology, there are tombs in Egypt fabricated beyond the capability of mankind today, in the year 2026, built thousands of years ago.
- 11:45Speaker: What does this say to you?
- 11:47Speaker: That I'm wrong?
- 11:49Speaker: I'm not asking you to believe me, I never am.
- 11:53Speaker: I'm asking you, if you have a question, because you are being non-judgmental, to research it yourself.
- 12:00Speaker: And when you find the answer, to be humble before the possibility, it might just be possible.
- 12:12Speaker: Mankind is like everything else in this universe oscillating up and down, and we have oscillated up before, and we have oscillated back down as well.
- 12:31Speaker: And now we are oscillating back up again.
- 12:36Speaker: Do we cut this off or do we make little steps, benchmarks, to help us continue on an upward trajectory even when we oscillate back down?
- 12:54Speaker: Where are we in the sense of evolution?
- 12:57Speaker: Because it is what each of us, all of us are, evolutionary in nature.
- 13:05Speaker: We spoke of two hundred thousand years of Homo sapiens.
- 13:10Speaker: This is evolution.
- 13:12Speaker: We're talking about DNA, same.
- 13:16Speaker: We're talking about the formation of our solar system, same.
- 13:22Speaker: Of the universe, the same.
- 13:27Speaker: Mindful meditation encompasses everything under the sun, and the sun shines in every direction.
- 13:39Speaker: Being here now, opening one's heart, one's mind, one's potential, taking little steps of self-improvement, of recognition there is more, more possibilities for self-improvement.
- 14:05Speaker: The music continues for another minute, please ponder how lucky we are, and how much more we need do.
