- 0:00Speaker 1: Hello, my name's Santasha Nabananga Bamblet. I'm a proud or
- 0:04Speaker 1: the Order KERNI Whoaltbury and a waddery woman. And before
- 0:08Speaker 1: we get started on She's on the Money podcast, I
- 0:11Speaker 1: would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land
- 0:14Speaker 1: of which this podcast is recorded on a wondery country,
- 0:18Speaker 1: acknowledging the elders, the ancestors and the next generation coming
- 0:22Speaker 1: through as this podcast is about connecting, empowering, knowledge sharing
- 0:27Speaker 1: and the storytelling of you to make a difference for
- 0:30Speaker 1: today and lasting impact for tomorrow.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Let's get into it.
- 0:34Speaker 3: She's on the Money, She's on the Money.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Hello, and welcome to She's on the moneydcast. The belief's
- 1:00Speaker 4: financial freedom doesn't always wear a blazer and have a
- 1:04Speaker 4: corner office. Today we're diving into money power and the
- 1:08Speaker 4: kind of jobs that make people uncomfortable and what it
- 1:11Speaker 4: actually looks like to run a seriously profitable business that
- 1:14Speaker 4: challenges everything we've been taught about what success should look like.
- 1:19Speaker 4: I'm Victoria Devine and today we are talking about how
- 1:22Speaker 4: women are building wealth in ways that the world doesn't
- 1:26Speaker 4: always respect but should. And to have that discussion, I
- 1:30Speaker 4: have a very special guest with me. She's one of
- 1:34Speaker 4: the most financially strategic women I've spoken to, and she's
- 1:37Speaker 4: done it in an industry most people don't even know
- 1:40Speaker 4: how to talk about. You might know her as blue
- 1:43Speaker 4: Eyed Kayla Jade. She's a full service worker OnlyFans creator
- 1:48Speaker 4: and viral TikTok star who's built a business that's part content,
- 1:52Speaker 4: part client work, part investment strategy, and one hundred.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Percent on her own terms.
- 1:58Speaker 4: She has racked up millions of us, made tens of
- 2:02Speaker 4: thousands in a single day, and built more wealth and
- 2:05Speaker 4: stronger boundaries than most people twice her age. And today
- 2:10Speaker 4: she's joining me on the show.
- 2:11Speaker 2: And she's told us she's not going to hold back. Hey,
- 2:15Speaker 2: welcome to this show.
- 2:17Speaker 5: That was an introduction.
- 2:18Speaker 4: We do try a lot, like I don't want to
- 2:21Speaker 4: like read the bio that Google gives me, like thank you,
- 2:25Speaker 4: I could never but welcome to the show. I'm so
- 2:28Speaker 4: excited And I just feel like this is one Like
- 2:32Speaker 4: I love your content too, Like talking about money is
- 2:35Speaker 4: so important, especially around like women and wealth creation. Like
- 2:41Speaker 4: in twenty twenty five, I feel like women have the
- 2:43Speaker 4: opportunity to take the power back absolutely and I love
- 2:46Speaker 4: making men feel uncomfortable about that. We always get on
- 2:50Speaker 4: our show, our money diarists to rate their money habits
- 2:53Speaker 4: to our audience. Okay, and I was keen to know
- 2:56Speaker 4: if you would one rate yourself. So before we get
- 2:59Speaker 4: into it, if I asked you to give your money
- 3:01Speaker 4: habits a grade from A through to F, what grade
- 3:05Speaker 4: would you give yourself? So like A being good, Yeah,
- 3:08Speaker 4: A being good, F being you.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Feel like you dropout?
- 3:11Speaker 5: I would probably give myself a C.
- 3:13Speaker 2: Ooh a C.
- 3:15Speaker 4: I want to know more about that, because, I mean,
- 3:17Speaker 4: you've been very open about how you earn money and
- 3:20Speaker 4: how good.
- 3:21Speaker 2: You are at it. So I'm like, hold on, how
- 3:23Speaker 2: does someone who own so much?
- 3:24Speaker 5: Well, I guess when I first started in the industry,
- 3:27Speaker 5: I was a little bit more reckless with my spending.
- 3:30Speaker 2: I mean, make hay while the sun's shining.
- 3:32Speaker 5: It was like, I mean, I came from a very
- 3:34Speaker 5: like humble beginning. Like where I grew up, there wasn't
- 3:38Speaker 5: much wealth around, like no one had a mansion, There
- 3:42Speaker 5: was no boats or anything. So I wasn't really used
- 3:45Speaker 5: to having money, like I would live paycheck to paycheck,
- 3:49Speaker 5: And so when I started on only fans the money
- 3:52Speaker 5: started raking in and I was spending it as I
- 3:56Speaker 5: was making it pretty much like I remember one time
- 3:59Speaker 5: I went to the States and I got an airbnb
- 4:03Speaker 5: and it was for like ten days, and I spent
- 4:06Speaker 5: like twenty thousand dollars.
- 4:07Speaker 2: On the airbnb, just the airbnb. I mean in the US,
- 4:10Speaker 2: that is probably very easy to do.
- 4:12Speaker 5: Yeah, but it was in like West Hollywood, and like,
- 4:15Speaker 5: I feel like people have this idea of what Hollywood
- 4:17Speaker 5: is like, but really it's pretty it's a pretty dark place.
- 4:21Speaker 5: It's not the like vibe that you think it is, So.
- 4:24Speaker 2: We're not moving to Hollywood anytime soon.
- 4:26Speaker 5: It was also like I'm pretty sure it was like
- 4:28Speaker 5: the middle of winter, like it was freezing. And usually
- 4:31Speaker 5: in like La, it's like even in the winter time
- 4:33Speaker 5: it's hot, but for some reason, the week that I came,
- 4:36Speaker 5: it was just freezing. So I couldn't use the pool,
- 4:39Speaker 5: like the jiqz wouldn't heat up.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Oh my god, no, I couldn't use anything brand And
- 4:44Speaker 1: You're like.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Not even wasted all this money?
- 4:47Speaker 5: And I feel like that was the turning point where
- 4:48Speaker 5: I was like, why am I spending this amount of money?
- 4:51Speaker 5: Like yes, I knew that, Like I was going over
- 4:53Speaker 5: there to do collabs and stuff, so I knew I
- 4:55Speaker 5: wouldn't make it back, but like I could pocket that
- 4:57Speaker 5: money and not spend the twenty.
- 4:59Speaker 2: Grand on that wasn't worth it.
- 5:01Speaker 5: It wasn't worth it. It didn't look anything like the photos.
- 5:05Speaker 5: That is, I could like see the layer of grime
- 5:08Speaker 5: like throughout the whole place that would send some shit
- 5:11Speaker 5: happened in.
- 5:12Speaker 2: That place, for sure, Someone's been cooking in here.
- 5:15Speaker 5: But yeah, so yeah, the starter was like I was
- 5:17Speaker 5: pretty bad, and I guess there came a turning point
- 5:22Speaker 5: where I was kind of like, I don't want to
- 5:25Speaker 5: do this forever and I'm putting all this stuff out
- 5:28Speaker 5: there online. Let's try and make as much as I
- 5:31Speaker 5: can and try and be a bit smarter so I
- 5:34Speaker 5: can save like for the future.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I love this, and we'll get into that because obviously
- 5:40Speaker 4: this is a money podcast.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Man and Manet.
- 5:42Speaker 4: But I feel like a lot of people probably know
- 5:45Speaker 4: the online version of you, the person that you choose
- 5:48Speaker 4: to share with the internet.
- 5:49Speaker 2: But I'm super curious, who were you before all of
- 5:53Speaker 2: this started?
- 5:54Speaker 4: What was life like before you started only fans and
- 5:57Speaker 4: became Loui Kayla Ja.
- 6:00Speaker 5: Well, so I grew up in New Zealand, a small
- 6:03Speaker 5: town in New Zealand, and I moved to Australia when
- 6:07Speaker 5: I was about nineteen. I started personal training. I was
- 6:13Speaker 5: like teaching boxing classes and I was getting up at
- 6:16Speaker 5: like five am and like being around people that I
- 6:21Speaker 5: wasn't really like vibing with. I was working at a
- 6:25Speaker 5: surf shop as well. Like I had no money. I
- 6:29Speaker 5: was literally living paycheck to paycheck, Like I had this
- 6:32Speaker 5: shitty car and like the bump had fallen off, so
- 6:35Speaker 5: like I just like I couldn't afford to like get.
- 6:38Speaker 2: Effected or you can with duct tape though.
- 6:40Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, so I just like I put it up.
- 6:42Speaker 5: I duct taped it and it was like that. And
- 6:44Speaker 5: so I literally bought a new car with only fans,
- 6:48Speaker 5: and I would like rotate the duct tape, like when
- 6:50Speaker 5: it started looking a bit gross, I was like, oh yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 5: fresh codd duc tape. I was like, she's looking pristine,
- 6:55Speaker 5: she is chic. Yeah yeah. So that was like my
- 7:01Speaker 5: sort of before only fans. And then when I sort
- 7:05Speaker 5: of I just saw all these women making a shit
- 7:08Speaker 5: ton of money yep. And and I've always sort of
- 7:12Speaker 5: been the one that was like interested in sex work,
- 7:15Speaker 5: like I was never like I never saw it as
- 7:17Speaker 5: a bad thing. Like obviously my family was like not
- 7:20Speaker 5: fully into.
- 7:21Speaker 4: It, which I feel like is a generational thing as well,
- 7:24Speaker 4: like you kind of go, okay, that makes sense that
- 7:27Speaker 4: they're against it. Was that always like or is that
- 7:29Speaker 4: something that was like a really big no no and
- 7:32Speaker 4: you were like, Oh, I'm going to do it.
- 7:33Speaker 2: You'll see how good I I am at it?
- 7:34Speaker 5: Yeah, well, I think it just it was something that
- 7:37Speaker 5: wasn't really talked about, like in my town, like you
- 7:39Speaker 5: would only hear like the bad stuff, Like I think
- 7:43Speaker 5: my mom thought, like you know, like doing only fans
- 7:47Speaker 5: now was like nineties porn vibes, like you know, just
- 7:50Speaker 5: like I mean like like dark and dingy and like
- 7:53Speaker 5: the women get treated like really cly and like but
- 7:57Speaker 5: it's the complete opposite now, like in a lot of
- 7:59Speaker 5: circumstance obviously not every circumstance, but a lot of the time,
- 8:03Speaker 5: Like the women have most of the power now and.
- 8:06Speaker 4: I love seeing that, Like I love that women have
- 8:08Speaker 4: taken back. Yeah power in porn literally to go. Actually,
- 8:13Speaker 4: if you guys want this, pay totally, and you know what,
- 8:17Speaker 4: pay me well, because otherwise I'm not going to do it.
- 8:21Speaker 5: You're like you need me, Like I'm sorry, but like.
- 8:24Speaker 4: And if you don't want to pay me, that's fine,
- 8:26Speaker 4: go away. But like I think that it's changing the
- 8:29Speaker 4: narrative and setting the tone for women to not accept
- 8:33Speaker 4: less and like I'm not saying.
- 8:34Speaker 5: Yeah, I guess I'm just sort of I've always been
- 8:37Speaker 5: the type of person like, if I'm going to do something,
- 8:40Speaker 5: I'm going to do it. Like what is it like,
- 8:42Speaker 5: don't ask for permission, like ask for forgiveness. Like I've
- 8:45Speaker 5: always been like, if you don't like it, I don't care.
- 8:48Speaker 5: I'm going to do it anyway. Like I saw a
- 8:50Speaker 5: big opportunity and I was like, I think I can
- 8:52Speaker 5: make some money with this, and yeah, I just I'm
- 8:56Speaker 5: pretty much delve straight into it.
- 8:57Speaker 4: It's not for everybody, and I don't course community going
- 9:00Speaker 4: off Victoria's telling us to get into sex work because
- 9:04Speaker 4: we can earn heaps of money.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I'm not.
- 9:07Speaker 4: But I also like that we're having open, honest conversations,
- 9:10Speaker 4: so if people are interested in it, we aren't shunning
- 9:13Speaker 4: it or saying no, it's not for you. If you
- 9:15Speaker 4: don't want to do it, that's fine, Oh totally. Like
- 9:17Speaker 4: I've said before, that's just not for me, and that
- 9:19Speaker 4: is absolutely fine, but I respect it.
- 9:21Speaker 2: I literally tell everything about it.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Like I literally tell everyone that I meet, don't get
- 9:26Speaker 5: into this industry. If someone asks me for advice, I'm.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Like, Nope, don't do it. That's my story.
- 9:30Speaker 5: Like there's too many downsides. Yeah, And I feel like
- 9:33Speaker 5: a lot of people don't talk about that online. Like
- 9:35Speaker 5: they see like there's glamorous industry. They see all this money,
- 9:39Speaker 5: and like you know, they just think, oh wow, I
- 9:41Speaker 5: want to do that too. But really, like there's so
- 9:43Speaker 5: many downsides to it as well.
- 9:45Speaker 2: One hundred percent.
- 9:46Speaker 4: So when you got into only fans, you're like, oh,
- 9:48Speaker 4: I'm going to bite the bullet.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna give it a crap. How did that go?
- 9:53Speaker 4: Like the first few weeks of you doing it, were
- 9:55Speaker 4: you just posting content online because you could post stuff
- 9:58Speaker 4: to OnlyFans, but they don't push it for you.
- 10:00Speaker 2: You've got to do all of your own marketing. You've
- 10:01Speaker 2: got to do all your in promotion.
- 10:03Speaker 5: Yeah, all of our digital media. I randomly started on Reddit,
- 10:07Speaker 5: Like I was just posting on Reddit forums being like I.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Like they started on Reddit. So you're like a little
- 10:14Speaker 2: bit of a nerd back.
- 10:15Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, I was in these like kink groups, and
- 10:19Speaker 5: I feel like I got a lot of like interesting
- 10:20Speaker 5: customers through Reddit yeah good yeah, which like some have
- 10:24Speaker 5: like been there since day one, like they just have
- 10:26Speaker 5: not left.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Good.
- 10:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:28Speaker 4: But also like, okay, that's a very good business strategy.
- 10:32Speaker 4: You're like, I'm going to go where they are.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Well, like I wasn't, Like I was sort of like
- 10:36Speaker 5: scared to post on Instagram and stuff for a while,
- 10:39Speaker 5: Like and I started with zero followers, Like I had
- 10:42Speaker 5: nothing like you going back in three years then.
- 10:46Speaker 4: Wasn't an influencer, You didn't need maths or anything to
- 10:49Speaker 4: start create on.
- 10:49Speaker 5: The slidest I started from zero and like but straight
- 10:54Speaker 5: away like and don't get me wrong, like I was hustling,
- 10:58Speaker 5: like I was like putting in the work, but it
- 11:01Speaker 5: did pretty well from me from the get go.
- 11:03Speaker 2: Just from the get go you were like yeah.
- 11:05Speaker 5: But then I feel like it was like all about timing.
- 11:09Speaker 5: Like I feel like if I started that now, if
- 11:11Speaker 5: I started from zero fos now, I wouldn't have had
- 11:13Speaker 5: the same run as I did like three years ago.
- 11:16Speaker 2: It's like me and podcasting, like people are often asking
- 11:20Speaker 2: for advice around, well, how do I start a podcast,
- 11:22Speaker 2: and I'm like, honestly, at this point, I don't know,
- 11:26Speaker 2: because the market has changed. There's so much changeation so quickly.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Algorithms don't work in the same way that they used
- 11:32Speaker 4: to push content. Like I wish I had advice, but
- 11:35Speaker 4: I mean, I I can tell you what Mike's to
- 11:37Speaker 4: buy and how to set it up and how to
- 11:38Speaker 4: do a good story and all of that, but I
- 11:40Speaker 4: think the world changes and it would be the exact
- 11:43Speaker 4: same in your world.
- 11:44Speaker 5: Completely exact same, like oversaturated. And then everyone in the
- 11:48Speaker 5: full service sex industry as well says like it's not
- 11:51Speaker 5: the same as it used to be, Like I don't
- 11:53Speaker 5: know if that's something that everyone says, but like the
- 11:55Speaker 5: elders sort of say that, and then I say that
- 11:57Speaker 5: now and like you know what I mean.
- 11:59Speaker 2: Like socially, yeah, totally.
- 12:01Speaker 4: And one of the things you mentioned before is that
- 12:04Speaker 4: you know, the money started coming hard and fast, which
- 12:07Speaker 4: is honestly so exciting. So you're making really good money
- 12:11Speaker 4: on OnlyFans. How are we spending it? Tell us about
- 12:14Speaker 4: those like purchases initially, because I feel like any girl
- 12:17Speaker 4: coming into a heap of money you didn't come from money. Yeah,
- 12:20Speaker 4: it's exciting and overwhelming and you're probably not sure what
- 12:23Speaker 4: to do, but also probably should buy a designer bag
- 12:26Speaker 4: or something.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:26Speaker 5: See, I came from like like I said, I came
- 12:28Speaker 5: from like a small town. Like I wasn't really interested
- 12:31Speaker 5: in the like designer like I had not like I
- 12:34Speaker 5: knew like Gucci, but like I didn't really know about
- 12:38Speaker 5: designer brands. I mean, I've got a few now, but
- 12:40Speaker 5: when I first started, I wasn't really interested in that.
- 12:43Speaker 5: But it was more so just like anything would come up,
- 12:46Speaker 5: I'll be like, yeah, sure, why not, like I got
- 12:48Speaker 5: the money, like just not consciously thinking like hey, like
- 12:51Speaker 5: I should be saving it. And I guess at the start,
- 12:55Speaker 5: I was in the mindset of like I was thinking,
- 12:58Speaker 5: like it's not going to run out, and with only fans,
- 13:02Speaker 5: it's very like it dips and flows, like you know,
- 13:05Speaker 5: one month you could make you know, a few hundred thousand,
- 13:08Speaker 5: and the next month like it could be. It all
- 13:10Speaker 5: depends on your social media like.
- 13:11Speaker 4: And what's pushing and what's trending and how many people
- 13:14Speaker 4: are joining. Because they think that a lot of people
- 13:16Speaker 4: don't genuinely understand how only fans work, or they've never
- 13:20Speaker 4: been exposed to it in that way, and a lot
- 13:21Speaker 4: of women are interested, but like they're not your customer,
- 13:24Speaker 4: they're not engaging on your platforms. So the way only
- 13:27Speaker 4: fans is, yes, you have subscribers, but then they buy
- 13:31Speaker 4: additional content once they're inside your subscription platform, and.
- 13:35Speaker 2: That's often where most of the money comes from.
- 13:38Speaker 4: And so that's what we're talking about when it ebbs
- 13:40Speaker 4: and flows, because I think a lot of people go,
- 13:42Speaker 4: but didn't you just get more subscribers and aren't they
- 13:44Speaker 4: a monthly subscription and yeah, like but they come and
- 13:47Speaker 4: they go, but then the real money, let's bedside.
- 13:51Speaker 5: The platform and you just have to get the eyes
- 13:54Speaker 5: on you. So when I first started, I was like
- 13:57Speaker 5: I'm just going to go full like because I'm not
- 13:59Speaker 5: going to put all out there and like not make
- 14:01Speaker 5: any money. Like I was like determined to. So I
- 14:04Speaker 5: was like traveling around the world and like collabing with
- 14:08Speaker 5: like different people in the space, like big creators, and
- 14:13Speaker 5: you know, I was working with people that like I idolized,
- 14:15Speaker 5: and I was like, wow, like I'm in this pace,
- 14:17Speaker 5: like it's crazy, and just yeah, getting on other people's
- 14:21Speaker 5: social media pages was just the biggest thing. Really. I
- 14:24Speaker 5: was also going like live every night on like TikTok
- 14:27Speaker 5: were you. I haven't recorded those because I don't want
- 14:31Speaker 5: those coming back so cringing.
- 14:34Speaker 2: But that's okay, we've all got to be cringey.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Oh hey, it was getting them in, Like it was
- 14:39Speaker 5: just you know what, I didn't even judge yourself. I
- 14:42Speaker 5: just saw a loophole and I was like, yes, this
- 14:43Speaker 5: is working. I'm doing this every night, and that's how
- 14:46Speaker 5: I sort of built that up. Like they'll call subscribers.
- 14:49Speaker 4: So when you started only fans, obviously there was a
- 14:53Speaker 4: lot of draw cards. You said, I was interested in
- 14:55Speaker 4: the sex industry to begin with, but then also like
- 14:57Speaker 4: I wanted to make money and I did. Were you
- 15:00Speaker 4: approaching that as a business to begin with or were
- 15:03Speaker 4: you like you were.
- 15:04Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I was lucky to like have some good
- 15:07Speaker 5: people around me that were like, hey, like you need
- 15:10Speaker 5: to make sure you get these people around you, otherwise
- 15:12Speaker 5: you're going to get yourself in trouble. So straight away, yeah,
- 15:15Speaker 5: I got a really good accountant, a financial advisor, and
- 15:19Speaker 5: I feel like that was the biggest step for me
- 15:21Speaker 5: to be like, Okay, I can't spend this amount of
- 15:24Speaker 5: money because I got to pay a shit ton of tacks.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I'm obsessed.
- 15:27Speaker 4: So you had a financial advisor and accountant.
- 15:30Speaker 5: Accountant first, and then once you get some cash, you
- 15:33Speaker 5: need to go see a financial advisor.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yes, one hundred percent.
- 15:36Speaker 4: And I think that it's so funny because people aren't
- 15:39Speaker 4: talking about this side of the sex industry. Like one
- 15:42Speaker 4: of my biggest types of clients when I was a
- 15:45Speaker 4: financial advisor was women doing only fans and we're not
- 15:49Speaker 4: talking like, oh, they've got like two or three hundred
- 15:52Speaker 4: bucks a month to invest, Like a lot of my
- 15:55Speaker 4: clients were making bank Like I think my biggest client
- 15:59Speaker 4: at the time and you probably know her, was making
- 16:02Speaker 4: like four hundred and fifty thousand USD a month and
- 16:06Speaker 4: we were investing most of that. And it was just
- 16:10Speaker 4: so exciting to see that if her entire OnlyFans had
- 16:14Speaker 4: been deleted the next day, she would have been wealthy
- 16:17Speaker 4: for life, Like she was set for life. And I
- 16:21Speaker 4: was obsessed, Like it just made me so excited to
- 16:24Speaker 4: know that these women because a lot of people ask
- 16:26Speaker 4: the question, well, what are you going to do when
- 16:28Speaker 4: only fans falls down or when that.
- 16:30Speaker 5: Doesn't work or because not like I'm making minim wage,
- 16:33Speaker 5: Like as long as you're like, this is what I
- 16:35Speaker 5: stress to girls, like please save your money, yeah, because
- 16:39Speaker 5: your health can go at any time. Anything can happen,
- 16:42Speaker 5: and if you can't make money, then like what are
- 16:45Speaker 5: you going to do? And a lot of the time
- 16:47Speaker 5: when you go into the sex industry, it's harder to
- 16:49Speaker 5: get other job prespects like you've got, like it stays
- 16:53Speaker 5: on your record in a way that you've been a
- 16:55Speaker 5: sex worker. Like I couldn't just start being a lawyer, Like.
- 16:58Speaker 4: I mean you could, I would hire you, like if
- 17:01Speaker 4: you start a degree.
- 17:02Speaker 5: Queen, very like, Yeah. I remember a friends who like
- 17:06Speaker 5: she worked at a law firm and she did like
- 17:09Speaker 5: the bare minimum for like a year, like ten years ago,
- 17:12Speaker 5: and they came up and she got canned. Like they
- 17:15Speaker 5: are just so like so mediate, the.
- 17:19Speaker 2: Middle aged white men making decisions.
- 17:21Speaker 5: We've come so far in the last like one hundred
- 17:23Speaker 5: years in the sex industry, but there's still so much
- 17:26Speaker 5: stigma behind it.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Which is really disappointing.
- 17:29Speaker 4: And why these conversations are so important to have around
- 17:33Speaker 4: money and taking our power back and women creating wealth.
- 17:37Speaker 4: I just always find it so funny that those industries
- 17:39Speaker 4: are propped up by the same men who are buying
- 17:42Speaker 4: the content. It's always under present sir, like you're the
- 17:47Speaker 4: reason why she did it, Like she took advantage of
- 17:50Speaker 4: you and now you're mad about it.
- 17:52Speaker 5: I've seen everyone in the sex space. I've seen politicians.
- 17:54Speaker 5: I've seen celebrities literally.
- 17:57Speaker 2: Every Oh you've seen politicians. That's true. One, that's an
- 18:01Speaker 2: interesting one.
- 18:04Speaker 4: We won't continue that conversation, no, but like you know what,
- 18:08Speaker 4: keep perpetuating that. I am trying to also get them
- 18:11Speaker 4: on my podcast, so we won't go down.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I know there's been a lot of stuff going
- 18:14Speaker 5: on with that lately, like with politicians going on podcasts
- 18:18Speaker 5: and yeah, using a bit of drama.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Oh my god, I'm here for it.
- 18:21Speaker 4: Though, I think, like obviously complete tangent, but like I
- 18:26Speaker 4: love watching politics.
- 18:27Speaker 2: It's so dramatic. Me too, Like it's like watching the
- 18:29Speaker 2: Real Housewives.
- 18:30Speaker 5: I love watching American like Australian politics. I'm like not
- 18:34Speaker 5: as interested.
- 18:34Speaker 4: But like American politics, honestly, train wreck love watching that.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Make it a reality TV show.
- 18:41Speaker 5: Well pretty much is. It's just like some of the stuff.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Coming up in Australian politics recently though AUSTRALI.
- 18:48Speaker 5: Ly exactly please stop.
- 18:50Speaker 2: But also can I watch anyway, I want to know.
- 18:54Speaker 4: More about you and more about your finance life. Right,
- 18:58Speaker 4: So it sounds like you were pretty set up, which
- 19:01Speaker 4: we love to see. Yeah, what's your personal cash flow system?
- 19:05Speaker 4: Like are you budgeting? Are you organizing your cash into buckets?
- 19:09Speaker 2: Like how are you managing that? And do you have
- 19:12Speaker 2: an emergency fund? Oh?
- 19:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I definitely do. Like I just try and save
- 19:16Speaker 5: as much money as possible, like every little thing that
- 19:19Speaker 5: goes into my account, Like I kind of sort of
- 19:22Speaker 5: make it out like I'm frugal in a way, but
- 19:24Speaker 5: like obviously I still have like the money to spend
- 19:27Speaker 5: if I want to treat myself, but most of it
- 19:30Speaker 5: is going into like emergency fund savings. Everything you're investing, Yes,
- 19:36Speaker 5: well I've invested in property, so I love that. I
- 19:39Speaker 5: find I wish I was more of like a like
- 19:43Speaker 5: grind mindset guru like in the stock market.
- 19:46Speaker 2: But I can help.
- 19:47Speaker 5: Yeah, I was gonna say, like maybe I can learn.
- 19:49Speaker 2: I can help you.
- 19:50Speaker 4: It's so easy, like you and I can set you up,
- 19:53Speaker 4: like obviously you've got a financial advisor, but we can
- 19:56Speaker 4: do some baby stuff on the side, and then if
- 19:58Speaker 4: you're really comfy with that, you can take it to
- 20:01Speaker 4: your financial advisor and go like, I've been doing this,
- 20:02Speaker 4: can you scale it a bit more because I'm finally
- 20:04Speaker 4: comfy with it, Like yes, because it's so imp Like,
- 20:07Speaker 4: don't get me wrong, I'm going to go off on
- 20:08Speaker 4: a tangent. Oh, property is fantastic, and I mean I
- 20:12Speaker 4: own a mortgage broking business, like that is what I
- 20:15Speaker 4: live and breathe every single day.
- 20:16Speaker 5: Like incredible love, that's amazing.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I love it.
- 20:19Speaker 4: But on the flip side, having a diverse investment portfolio,
- 20:24Speaker 4: making sure you've got property and shares, like it's not
- 20:26Speaker 4: as scary as people think it is, and like it's
- 20:29Speaker 4: a slippery slope, Like you get a little bit obsessed
- 20:31Speaker 4: with it. You're like, I'm making money while they sleep,
- 20:34Speaker 4: and I mean you've already probably are, let's be honest,
- 20:36Speaker 4: only fans ticks along. But like when that's not there,
- 20:40Speaker 4: your share portfolio can literally take over from that. And
- 20:43Speaker 4: my favorite thing is there's no oh the hot water
- 20:46Speaker 4: system's broken, there's no chasing up tenants like they're perfect
- 20:50Speaker 4: little tenants making you work in the share market.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I'm obsessed. Anyway, it's incredible.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Let's take a really quick break because when we come
- 20:57Speaker 4: back I want to talk about your big money goals,
- 20:59Speaker 4: cash counting, cultural double standards, and the reality of building
- 21:03Speaker 4: a business that people.
- 21:04Speaker 5: Love to judge.
- 21:06Speaker 2: You don't want to miss it.
- 21:10Speaker 4: All right, guys, we are back and before the break
- 21:13Speaker 4: we were talking about Kayla's day to day money habits.
- 21:15Speaker 4: But I'm going to zoom out a little bit, because
- 21:18Speaker 4: when you're building something that is this bold, it's not
- 21:23Speaker 4: just about the weekly budget. It's actually about the big picture,
- 21:26Speaker 4: the long game, and what financial freedom really looks like
- 21:29Speaker 4: when you are calling the shots. So, Kayler, what are
- 21:32Speaker 4: your big money goals right now? Like, what are you
- 21:34Speaker 4: currently working towards.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Is there a big dream?
- 21:37Speaker 5: Yes, well, investing in enough property that it just makes
- 21:40Speaker 5: passive income for when like I retire, so that can
- 21:43Speaker 5: keep ticking along and I don't have to make content
- 21:46Speaker 5: anymore because I definitely don't want to be like fifty
- 21:49Speaker 5: years old, still making OnlyFans content and being a sex worker.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Yep.
- 21:53Speaker 2: Love.
- 21:53Speaker 4: And then as a part of that, is there like
- 21:56Speaker 4: a dream life You're like, okay, cool, Like one day
- 21:59Speaker 4: I want to retire and have a property in the mountains.
- 22:02Speaker 5: I definitely want to have a lot of lands and
- 22:05Speaker 5: have animals, have enough space for my cats because right
- 22:10Speaker 5: now my house is like it's nice, like it's like
- 22:12Speaker 5: on the water and you know, got to pull and stuff,
- 22:13Speaker 5: but like it's very like like small, and like I
- 22:17Speaker 5: just want to expand and like get a big property.
- 22:19Speaker 4: And just like what type of pets are we talking?
- 22:21Speaker 4: Because I'm an animal person. My dog is in the studio,
- 22:24Speaker 4: as you know every single time I record. She's not
- 22:26Speaker 4: a little sidekick. I have two cats. So if I
- 22:30Speaker 4: was allowed and my husband let me, my entire house
- 22:32Speaker 4: would become a zoo.
- 22:33Speaker 2: But that is apparently not allowed. What would you do?
- 22:37Speaker 5: Well, I've got three cats, and I'm constantly looking for cats,
- 22:41Speaker 5: Like it's a problem. It's becoming like.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Not a problem. If you're looking after them, you're giving them.
- 22:46Speaker 5: Are absolutely my little babies, Like they've got so much personality,
- 22:52Speaker 5: Like I love them so much. But if I was
- 22:54Speaker 5: on a property, I'd definitely get like chickens. I would
- 22:56Speaker 5: love to have some chickens.
- 22:57Speaker 4: You did not see the internet more cats.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I love dogs as well.
- 23:03Speaker 2: But you need a dog that acts like a cat.
- 23:04Speaker 2: I reckon, Yeah, like this is right, yeah, yeah, Like she.
- 23:07Speaker 4: Doesn't have a dog bed because she just sleeps on
- 23:09Speaker 4: the couch. Back to money, what made you choose property
- 23:14Speaker 4: as the asset class that you ended up going all
- 23:16Speaker 4: in on. Like you said before, I am not only
- 23:19Speaker 4: in the share market. I want a property portfolio. That
- 23:21Speaker 4: is going to mean that I don't have to work
- 23:23Speaker 4: another day in my life.
- 23:25Speaker 2: But where did you get that comfort in property?
- 23:28Speaker 5: Yeah? I guess for me, I always thought like that
- 23:30Speaker 5: was the safe option. Like it was always like drilled
- 23:33Speaker 5: into me to like get a house, to get a property.
- 23:35Speaker 5: So for me, I was like, yes, this is safe
- 23:37Speaker 5: in a way, Like I'm scared of this dog market,
- 23:41Speaker 5: Like I'm like, I'm worried that I'm going to make
- 23:43Speaker 5: some stupid mistake and like.
- 23:44Speaker 2: That for you, I'm going to fix that. I'm going
- 23:46Speaker 2: to make you say no, I'm going to fix that,
- 23:48Speaker 2: Like I'm so sorry.
- 23:49Speaker 5: But like, yeah, I've always felt like that's like the shining.
- 23:53Speaker 2: I've got you.
- 23:54Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah, So it's just like my goals right now
- 23:58Speaker 5: is just like saving to buy more property.
- 24:01Speaker 2: I love that. Yeah, I love that so much.
- 24:03Speaker 4: And being really pervy obviously do not give out addresses
- 24:06Speaker 4: or even locations, But do you have a type of
- 24:07Speaker 4: property that you like? Are we buying like apartments, are
- 24:10Speaker 4: we buying like standalones?
- 24:12Speaker 5: Like yes, townhouses like something like I don't want to
- 24:15Speaker 5: you know, apart from the one that I'm living in.
- 24:17Speaker 5: They're not like crazy expensive like you know, I feel
- 24:21Speaker 5: like if you buy a mansion life straight up, like
- 24:24Speaker 5: you're not going to be able to buy any more
- 24:25Speaker 5: houses after that. Yeah. So I didn't go silly like
- 24:31Speaker 5: right up front, like I started small and hopefully eventually
- 24:34Speaker 5: I'll get bigger and bigger and then eventually get my
- 24:38Speaker 5: mansion in the country.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I love that.
- 24:40Speaker 4: So are you getting And this is just me being
- 24:42Speaker 4: so pervy? So you just tell me Victoria advice stop that.
- 24:46Speaker 2: Are you getting advice when you're purchasing property like or
- 24:48Speaker 2: are you just researching it yourself?
- 24:50Speaker 5: Or if you're getting advice, yeah, Like I have a
- 24:52Speaker 5: team which pretty much like do everything for me, like
- 24:54Speaker 5: I could not do it by myself.
- 24:55Speaker 2: Yeah, they're tessed.
- 24:56Speaker 4: I was like, how are you doing this because no, no, no,
- 24:58Speaker 4: like are we doing it the way that I would
- 25:01Speaker 4: do it?
- 25:01Speaker 2: Which is that way?
- 25:02Speaker 4: Or It's an interesting conundrum because when you are making
- 25:06Speaker 4: as much money as you make, it is a different
- 25:09Speaker 4: world when it comes to purchasing property because you know,
- 25:12Speaker 4: it's very different than getting your first home buyer into
- 25:15Speaker 4: their first property.
- 25:16Speaker 5: Yes, well, it's like any small business. It's much harder
- 25:19Speaker 5: to buy a house as a small business owner, like
- 25:22Speaker 5: you need to obviously have their savings and have that
- 25:26Speaker 5: like you know, two years of being in a business,
- 25:29Speaker 5: like showing that you're able to you know, expand.
- 25:32Speaker 4: Yeah, and talk to me about being someone who works
- 25:35Speaker 4: in the sex industry and getting loans. There is this
- 25:38Speaker 4: massive stigma there is about getting loans as a sex worker.
- 25:43Speaker 4: There is how was your process of getting your loans?
- 25:47Speaker 5: I like didn't have any issues actually, And I was
- 25:50Speaker 5: so scared to like buy my face because of this,
- 25:53Speaker 5: because of the stigma behind it. But it's yeah, it's
- 25:57Speaker 5: basically like any other business. Like as long as you
- 26:00Speaker 5: you pay your taxes and you're getting that regular incoming
- 26:04Speaker 5: or showing you're getting that income and you're not wasting
- 26:07Speaker 5: your money, like, you'll.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Get a loan one hundred percent.
- 26:10Speaker 5: I feel like girls are so scared to like go in,
- 26:12Speaker 5: but it's like, no, if you're being smart about it.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Like I've done a lot of loans for a lot
- 26:16Speaker 4: of people working in the sex industry. I think it's
- 26:19Speaker 4: because I have a full female team and like, yeah,
- 26:21Speaker 4: you're just girls girls Like I love that, but I
- 26:24Speaker 4: think it is so interesting the stigma that comes. They
- 26:27Speaker 4: go like, I really want to talk to you about this,
- 26:29Speaker 4: but I just don't know if I'll ever be able
- 26:31Speaker 4: to get into property because I do this, and I
- 26:33Speaker 4: just go hold on, Like, you've got a thriving small business,
- 26:36Speaker 4: A bank is gonna love.
- 26:37Speaker 5: Honestly, they don't. They don't care what you do. They
- 26:38Speaker 5: just want money. They're not going to exactly, they're not
- 26:40Speaker 5: gonna not give up getting money.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Like they do not care.
- 26:44Speaker 4: And in fact, I think because of this stigma, you've
- 26:47Speaker 4: probably gone a lot more serious than a lot of
- 26:50Speaker 4: small business owners. And like on the podcast, I use
- 26:53Speaker 4: the example of a candle shop a lot, right if
- 26:56Speaker 4: you started your first candleshop, Like you're, you know, doing
- 26:58Speaker 4: the books, You're doing this and doing that, but often
- 27:01Speaker 4: you're not keeping the books as clean as someone in
- 27:04Speaker 4: the sex industry because they're often so worried about audits.
- 27:07Speaker 4: Like you're probably like, oh my god, going into this,
- 27:09Speaker 4: I need to be so squeaky clean because I'm all
- 27:11Speaker 4: over social media. I'm this I'm that like your books
- 27:14Speaker 4: are probably if I looked through them so clean. A
- 27:18Speaker 4: bank froths that. A bank is like step this way, Kayla.
- 27:21Speaker 4: How much did you want to borrow?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:23Speaker 5: Honestly, if I didn't have that team at the start,
- 27:25Speaker 5: it would be a shit show. Yeah no.
- 27:27Speaker 4: But but if someone's listening to this and they are
- 27:30Speaker 4: doing sex work and it is a shit show, you
- 27:32Speaker 4: can clean it up.
- 27:33Speaker 5: Oh absolutely. Don't ever feel like it's too late. Like
- 27:37Speaker 5: it took me like a good few months before I
- 27:39Speaker 5: was like, actually, like, let's do it. And I know
- 27:41Speaker 5: for some girls like it's taken them longer. And it's
- 27:45Speaker 5: like you can go back and you can go through
- 27:47Speaker 5: everything and it's not as daunting as it seems.
- 27:51Speaker 2: Totally.
- 27:52Speaker 4: Now, you went pretty viral pretty quickly with your cash
- 27:56Speaker 4: counting videos, and I found them so into not gonna lie.
- 28:01Speaker 4: One of them had what eleven million views or something ridiculous,
- 28:05Speaker 4: which is very cool. But then you stepped back from it.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Talk to me about why.
- 28:09Speaker 5: I guess like at the start, I was kind of
- 28:12Speaker 5: just like, you know, I didn't think it would blow
- 28:14Speaker 5: up to where it was today. So now being such
- 28:18Speaker 5: a bigger creator, I had to be more mindful about
- 28:20Speaker 5: the stuff that I was posting, because I feel like,
- 28:25Speaker 5: like I talk a lot about the downsides on my page,
- 28:27Speaker 5: but a lot of the time we're scrolling on TikTok,
- 28:29Speaker 5: like you'd just see one video and like not really,
- 28:33Speaker 5: you know, go into all the other videos. So I
- 28:37Speaker 5: was just thinking, like if like a young person is
- 28:40Speaker 5: scrolling there and they would see that video and be like,
- 28:42Speaker 5: oh my gosh, she makes so much money and she
- 28:44Speaker 5: does this, like I want to do it too, and
- 28:47Speaker 5: then they don't really see like what I had to
- 28:49Speaker 5: do to get that money, do you know what I mean?
- 28:51Speaker 5: So it just kind of like it got to a
- 28:54Speaker 5: point where I was doing them and I was like, actually,
- 28:56Speaker 5: I don't feel comfortable doing this anymore. So that's when
- 28:59Speaker 5: I sort of stopped that, Like I stopped just cold turkey.
- 29:02Speaker 5: I was like, sorry, guys, I'm not doing this anymore,
- 29:06Speaker 5: because like there's just so many downsides of this industry,
- 29:09Speaker 5: and it's a very unsafe industry, Like you're meeting up
- 29:13Speaker 5: with literal strangers if you're in full service, so anything
- 29:17Speaker 5: could happen. And because I had that prior experience, I
- 29:20Speaker 5: felt like I was well equipped to get into full
- 29:23Speaker 5: service sex work. But if someone was like fresh eighteen
- 29:27Speaker 5: and they started, like if I was fresh eighteen, and
- 29:29Speaker 5: so I would have got myself into some literally really
- 29:31Speaker 5: shit situation, literally you know.
- 29:33Speaker 2: And you do see it happen, because I think happens
- 29:36Speaker 2: just the time.
- 29:37Speaker 4: We want the best for ourselves, right like, and that's
- 29:39Speaker 4: often why we're getting into industries like this, because we're like, okay, cool,
- 29:43Speaker 4: my current situation is not that, and I want to
- 29:46Speaker 4: change my life. I want wealth, I want to be successful,
- 29:49Speaker 4: and I can see that I might resonate with that.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I might be really good at that.
- 29:54Speaker 4: And like you said before, you know, I thought that
- 29:56Speaker 4: sex work was always really interesting, like cool, you might
- 30:00Speaker 4: fall into it without taking into consideration the negative sides.
- 30:05Speaker 4: So did you go from being an only fans creator
- 30:08Speaker 4: to then full service sex work or was it the
- 30:11Speaker 4: other way round?
- 30:12Speaker 5: It was only fans to full service sex work, like
- 30:14Speaker 5: I had little sprinkles in like throughout my only fans
- 30:17Speaker 5: like career. But I started full service sex work like
- 30:21Speaker 5: full time, probably like a year and a half ago,
- 30:23Speaker 5: like ye're actually not that long.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Acast, my gosh, I genuinely would have thought it would
- 30:27Speaker 4: have been the other way around that you were like, okay, cool,
- 30:29Speaker 4: because you do see a lot of sex workers go
- 30:31Speaker 4: I can't do this because it's so physically demanding. I
- 30:35Speaker 4: want to go and do only fans as kind of
- 30:37Speaker 4: like a way to still make money while alleviating the
- 30:40Speaker 4: physicality of it.
- 30:41Speaker 5: Well, the reason why I started it because like I
- 30:43Speaker 5: had made so much money through only fans and it
- 30:46Speaker 5: was like at a point where I was like, I
- 30:49Speaker 5: feel like I've exhausted every avenue. Well, like not so much,
- 30:52Speaker 5: but like I kind of got over like collabing with
- 30:55Speaker 5: people and things like that. I wanted to sort of
- 30:57Speaker 5: like slow down on that, and I was like, but
- 31:00Speaker 5: I still.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Want to make for this.
- 31:01Speaker 5: I shared a ton of money, and like I had
- 31:03Speaker 5: a lot of friends who were full service sex workers
- 31:05Speaker 5: and they make so much bank So I was like,
- 31:08Speaker 5: I feel like I can do it. And because like
- 31:11Speaker 5: I sort of had that online presence before, I felt
- 31:14Speaker 5: like like it was really easy for me to like
- 31:16Speaker 5: start getting clients and I would.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Have been able to demand a fee that you were
- 31:21Speaker 4: very comfortable with because you weren't just entering the market
- 31:25Speaker 4: and trying to prove yourself. You were like, well, actually
- 31:28Speaker 4: I am blue Eye Kayla Jade from here. If you
- 31:31Speaker 4: want to come and have this service, you can eat X.
- 31:34Speaker 5: Yeah. My fees were very high from the get go,
- 31:37Speaker 5: and a lot of people were like like how are
- 31:38Speaker 5: you charging that?
- 31:39Speaker 4: Like but I think people didn't believe it either. Yeah,
- 31:43Speaker 4: they were like, no, you don't. It's like I think I.
- 31:45Speaker 5: Really do and I think it was a good way
- 31:48Speaker 5: for Like I've had sex works come up to me
- 31:50Speaker 5: being like thank you for like because a lot of
- 31:53Speaker 5: the time, like people in the sex industry will cheapen themselves,
- 31:56Speaker 5: like you know, you're like you're worth so much, You're stunning,
- 32:00Speaker 5: Like you should be charging like top dollar, like people.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Will pay for it, yeah, one hundred.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Like if they want to see you, they'll pay for it.
- 32:07Speaker 5: So yeah, I never back down on that, like charging high.
- 32:10Speaker 5: I was like, look, if you.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Want to see me, like, this is how much it's
- 32:13Speaker 2: going to cost.
- 32:14Speaker 4: Otherwise I hate do cats at home and I'm very
- 32:16Speaker 4: happy to stay with them. I love that for you
- 32:19Speaker 4: talk to me a little bit more about where we
- 32:23Speaker 4: think we're at culturally, because a lot of women are
- 32:27Speaker 4: dominating the online space right now. They have huge followings,
- 32:30Speaker 4: viral content, and some serious income coming in from only fans.
- 32:33Speaker 4: But what do you think that says about society at
- 32:36Speaker 4: the moment. What do you think that says about where
- 32:38Speaker 4: the world is at culturally when it comes to sex work.
- 32:41Speaker 5: I mean, I think it's a great thing that women
- 32:43Speaker 5: are taking power and the a lot of them are
- 32:46Speaker 5: earning more money than men these days.
- 32:48Speaker 2: We love to see it.
- 32:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it's incredible. It's definitely changed so much, even from
- 32:53Speaker 5: when I first started only fans to now, like, so
- 32:58Speaker 5: much has changed.
- 32:59Speaker 2: No, I love it.
- 33:00Speaker 4: You mentioned before that you went into full service sex
- 33:03Speaker 4: work and it is very dangerous, and I think it
- 33:05Speaker 4: is important that we do like reiterate that point. We're
- 33:08Speaker 4: not saying, oh, this is really easy money, we're just privileged.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Actually's on the money for you to have said, I'll
- 33:13Speaker 4: come on the show, I'll talk to you about this stuff.
- 33:16Speaker 4: It's not because we want to like push people down
- 33:18Speaker 4: the route of becoming sex workers unless they're interested, in
- 33:21Speaker 4: which case, hopefully this has been a productive conversation for you.
- 33:25Speaker 4: But I want to know more about the safety aspect
- 33:28Speaker 4: of it, because obviously that is something that you would
- 33:30Speaker 4: have had to take incredibly seriously. Yes, what steps have
- 33:34Speaker 4: you been taking to protect yourself when it comes to
- 33:37Speaker 4: separating yourself and then your online personality and your business
- 33:41Speaker 4: from your loved ones, Like I feel like sex work
- 33:45Speaker 4: becomes very crossed over right because of the stigma. It
- 33:50Speaker 4: becomes your personality in a way, or people assume it
- 33:53Speaker 4: is your personality. How are you separating that out? How
- 33:56Speaker 4: are you staying safe?
- 33:57Speaker 5: I mean, there's a lot of ways to keep yourself safe,
- 33:59Speaker 5: and I think the biggest one would be obviously getting
- 34:03Speaker 5: like a work phone and having that separate to your
- 34:06Speaker 5: personal phone. Just trying to basically make a character, you know,
- 34:11Speaker 5: change your name, change your number, like keep that separate
- 34:16Speaker 5: because I think, like, especially when I first started, like OnlyFans, like,
- 34:20Speaker 5: I wasn't as aware of that stuff. So like when
- 34:23Speaker 5: I'm originally like made my social media accounts, like I
- 34:27Speaker 5: put my personal number and so my like so my
- 34:30Speaker 5: Instagram was just getting shown too, like all my family,
- 34:32Speaker 5: which was amazing.
- 34:34Speaker 4: You were I'm not sure how to tell my family
- 34:37Speaker 4: I'm doing sex work.
- 34:38Speaker 5: And then finding out like like what like.
- 34:41Speaker 4: Because to them as a push notification on there pretty much.
- 34:46Speaker 5: So yeah, there were things like that. When I first
- 34:48Speaker 5: started that I was just like I wish I did
- 34:51Speaker 5: that differently, And I cannot stress enough like, if you
- 34:55Speaker 5: are wanting to get into this industry, please like talk
- 34:59Speaker 5: to someone that, oh the industry, think of all the
- 35:04Speaker 5: cons of it because it could potentially affect the rest
- 35:08Speaker 5: of your life. And yeah, finding someone who knows those
- 35:11Speaker 5: safety protocols, and I guess just like being very clear
- 35:15Speaker 5: of your boundaries from the get go. You know, there's
- 35:18Speaker 5: certain things that sex workers do to keep themselves safe,
- 35:22Speaker 5: especially like when they're meeting up with a client, you
- 35:26Speaker 5: have to tell me, I can't it's code. It's code,
- 35:29Speaker 5: you know, like just to keep people safe. We don't
- 35:32Speaker 5: want like creep like finding out our little like things
- 35:35Speaker 5: that we do.
- 35:36Speaker 4: But there's also if you're going to get into sex work,
- 35:38Speaker 4: that's why you're saying, talk to someone in the industry
- 35:40Speaker 4: because they can let you in on what we should do. Right,
- 35:42Speaker 4: It shouldn't be on a podcast if it's.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Like, yeah, there's certain things to like check, like, you know,
- 35:49Speaker 5: things like getting their idea as well and scanning that
- 35:52Speaker 5: scanning their numbers. There's lots of things that you can do.
- 35:55Speaker 5: And also I've never like I don't go to I
- 35:59Speaker 5: know a lot of else do this, but I've been
- 36:01Speaker 5: fortunate enough not to like go to outcolls. Yes, because
- 36:05Speaker 5: if you're going to people's houses and things like that,
- 36:08Speaker 5: I feel like something bad is more likely gonna happen
- 36:12Speaker 5: in those situations. Whereas I always make sure like I'm
- 36:15Speaker 5: at a hotel. I never do it at my house
- 36:18Speaker 5: at like don't ever give anyone your address, Like make
- 36:21Speaker 5: sure you're at a hotel, so that like when I
- 36:23Speaker 5: go down and I meet the client, like there's people around,
- 36:26Speaker 5: they see us together, they cameras see us, they see
- 36:29Speaker 5: us go up together. So there's just certain things like
- 36:31Speaker 5: that that will like protect you.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. We won't get too much into that,
- 36:37Speaker 2: but it's so important to cross check all of that.
- 36:41Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, and just research as much as you can
- 36:44Speaker 5: before starting.
- 36:45Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent. All right, We're coming close.
- 36:49Speaker 2: To the end of the episode, and I wish we
- 36:50Speaker 2: had so much longer to chat, but I need to
- 36:52Speaker 2: know a few hard and fast ones.
- 36:55Speaker 4: What's the wildest thing someone has offered to pay for?
- 36:58Speaker 4: And did you take it?
- 36:59Speaker 1: Oh?
- 36:59Speaker 5: I think that, like I charge most for his backdoor,
- 37:03Speaker 5: and that's like fifteen thousand dollars for half an hour,
- 37:07Speaker 5: So it's probably like the most that I've made.
- 37:09Speaker 2: For half an hour. Yes, oh good, So.
- 37:11Speaker 5: That's probably the most I've made in like a short session.
- 37:16Speaker 5: And I get some crazy requests.
- 37:17Speaker 4: What about the most amount of money you've made in
- 37:20Speaker 4: a day?
- 37:21Speaker 5: Probably about thirty thousand dollars thirty.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Grand in a day? Yeah, oh my gosh.
- 37:25Speaker 4: Was that from like one person engaging you? Or was
- 37:28Speaker 4: that like you've liked mine too?
- 37:30Speaker 2: That was two?
- 37:31Speaker 4: How good and wildest request not financial that you've been Like,
- 37:35Speaker 4: what the hell are you asking for?
- 37:37Speaker 5: Is this sex? We go on? OnlyFans or bar?
- 37:40Speaker 2: You can pick, you can share whatever you're most comfortable.
- 37:42Speaker 5: We had some crazy requests, like obviously, like me, pegging
- 37:47Speaker 5: men is very interesting.
- 37:49Speaker 2: I mean, if they're into it. But also that's not
- 37:52Speaker 2: that uncommon.
- 37:53Speaker 5: I mean it's kind of nice seeing a man on
- 37:54Speaker 5: all fours not gonna lie.
- 37:55Speaker 4: And I mean it makes really great Peggy Souit content.
- 37:58Speaker 4: So like I mean they're helping you in a way, Yes,
- 38:02Speaker 4: thanks so much.
- 38:03Speaker 5: Like honestly, I could talk all.
- 38:05Speaker 4: Day about you do want your socials and people can
- 38:07Speaker 4: follow you there. I want to know just before we go,
- 38:11Speaker 4: what's a really common misconception about sex work or about
- 38:15Speaker 4: only Fans creators that makes you really angry or makes
- 38:19Speaker 4: you really mad.
- 38:21Speaker 5: I think actually money related one would be I feel
- 38:24Speaker 5: like a lot of people like they see these creators
- 38:26Speaker 5: online and they're like, oh my god, like I can
- 38:28Speaker 5: make so much money doing this, when in reality, I
- 38:32Speaker 5: think I read somewhere they're like, majority of only Fans
- 38:35Speaker 5: creators make less the minimum wage they do and what
- 38:38Speaker 5: she makes sane there.
- 38:39Speaker 4: So the stats are that only Fans creators most of
- 38:42Speaker 4: them are making like less than one thousand dollars in total,
- 38:45Speaker 4: not per month, not per week, just in total. Because
- 38:48Speaker 4: they often join try really hard, it doesn't work because
- 38:52Speaker 4: I think a lot of them don't realize the strategy.
- 38:54Speaker 2: The business need to be organization.
- 38:57Speaker 5: Yeah, you need to be help resume, market yourself off,
- 39:00Speaker 5: and treat it like your business, like you've got to
- 39:02Speaker 5: put in the work to get there. Like literally, only
- 39:05Speaker 5: the top like one percent like make money Like it's insane.
- 39:08Speaker 2: And it's nice that you're sitting up there.
- 39:11Speaker 5: I like the good part of you.
- 39:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 39:14Speaker 4: One of the cool things about this story is people
- 39:16Speaker 4: are going to go, oh my gosh, she's so fun.
- 39:18Speaker 2: I love her. Conversations.
- 39:20Speaker 4: I love her stories and that is a really good
- 39:22Speaker 4: thing because you're about to launch a podcasts. Yeah right,
- 39:25Speaker 4: so tell me about that. Tell me about like what
- 39:28Speaker 4: we're going to learn from that, what you're going to share,
- 39:30Speaker 4: and what it's called, all of it, because I know
- 39:33Speaker 4: now that people have gotten to have this conversation with you,
- 39:36Speaker 4: they're like, why is it ending?
- 39:38Speaker 5: Yeah, doesn't have to. So my podcast is called story
- 39:42Speaker 5: Time with Kayla Jaide, and it's going to be like
- 39:46Speaker 5: a very uncensored version of my TikTok. So I'm going
- 39:49Speaker 5: to tell a lot of stories that I've never told
- 39:51Speaker 5: on TikTok before. There's only so much you can say
- 39:54Speaker 5: on TikTok, and I have to be very careful with
- 39:56Speaker 5: what your language or your words, So I'll say things like, oh,
- 39:59Speaker 5: you know, this is client and this is like sort
- 40:02Speaker 5: of what our interaction was like, but this would be
- 40:04Speaker 5: like deep into the law of it all.
- 40:07Speaker 4: I'm obsessed, Like people are gonna love this, but Kayla,
- 40:10Speaker 4: I'm a mum, Like I have a one year old.
- 40:13Speaker 4: I can't listen to that in the.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Car like that.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Yeah, keep it, like be careful.
- 40:18Speaker 4: Yeah, Like he's already started to pick up words that
- 40:20Speaker 4: I use and I've already started grow. Oh my goodness,
- 40:23Speaker 4: Like I probably shouldn't swear at home anymore, Like that's
- 40:26Speaker 4: not going.
- 40:27Speaker 2: To be car appropriate.
- 40:28Speaker 4: But maybe once I've done the daycare drop off, I
- 40:30Speaker 4: could listen to that on my way into work. Where
- 40:33Speaker 4: else can we find you? We obviously mentioned TikTok and Instagram,
- 40:36Speaker 4: Like if we want to follow along, what are the
- 40:39Speaker 4: best handles to find you on?
- 40:40Speaker 5: Yeah, TikTok and Instagram are my main one, Like blue
- 40:42Speaker 5: Eye Kayla Jade on my TikTok and then Storytime with
- 40:46Speaker 5: Kayla Jade on Spotify and YouTube. I'm got to be
- 40:50Speaker 5: my new plug.
- 40:51Speaker 4: Kayla Jade, thank you so much for joining me and
- 40:54Speaker 4: for being honestly so open about your story, your business
- 40:58Speaker 4: and all of the strategy that in behind the scenes,
- 41:01Speaker 4: because I think people just assume, oh, it's just only
- 41:04Speaker 4: fans you just chuck up a few photos, and that
- 41:06Speaker 4: is not the case at all. There's so much nuance
- 41:09Speaker 4: to it.
- 41:10Speaker 2: This conversation is exactly the kind of thing we need
- 41:13Speaker 2: to have more of.
- 41:14Speaker 5: Oh definitely, I love that we're like talking more and
- 41:16Speaker 5: being more open about you know, money and stuff, because
- 41:19Speaker 5: I feel like at school, like it just it's not
- 41:22Speaker 5: something that you really learn or like, you know, I
- 41:24Speaker 5: sort of had to find a way of learning how
- 41:27Speaker 5: to manage my money.
- 41:29Speaker 2: So and you do love that there's done it with us.
- 41:31Speaker 5: Out there now, like that you guys talk about it,
- 41:34Speaker 5: which is incredible.
- 41:35Speaker 2: I'm obsessed.
- 41:36Speaker 4: I feel like this conversation has been really honest and
- 41:39Speaker 4: really nuanced. But also it's a reminder that wealth it
- 41:44Speaker 4: doesn't just come from having a salary or going and
- 41:47Speaker 4: getting a job. It actually comes from you thinking about
- 41:51Speaker 4: your priorities and what you're interested in and then backing
- 41:54Speaker 4: yourself to do that. And it doesn't matter what industry
- 41:57Speaker 4: you're in, whether you want to start a candle business
- 42:00Speaker 4: or you want to go into full service sex work. Like,
- 42:02Speaker 4: the important thing here is that you're backing yourself and
- 42:04Speaker 4: believing that you are capable of.
- 42:06Speaker 5: That absolutely and believing yourself go with your gut. No,
- 42:09Speaker 5: don't let people pressure you to do anything you know exactly.
- 42:13Speaker 4: So if you loved this chat, please make sure that
