- 0:12contact. The Golden Rule People are often
- 0:15in a panic when they think that they may have unintentionally
- 0:20broken No Contact. So how can you know for sure?

- 0:53nocontactsecrets.com where you can read two free chapters
- 0:57before purchasing the book. OK, so I have a message here, a
- 1:02comment from one of my videos. I'll read it and then I will
- 1:07tell you what the golden rule is regarding whether or not you
- 1:11broke no contact. OK, so they said, do I need to
- 1:15start no contact over every time I run into my ex?
- 1:19The problem is we live on the same St.
- 1:22We live in the same small gated community in a rural area.
- 1:27Yesterday I had been in no contact for 16 days.
- 1:30We live near a lake where everyone launches their boat.
- 1:34This sounds like a very nice place.
- 1:35Where is this? I was leaving the launch ramp in
- 1:39the boat with some friends and saw him sitting by himself on
- 1:42his tailgate looking at the lake.
- 1:45I'm not sure but he most likely saw me too.
- 1:48I didn't wave or say hi. There was no communication
- 1:52before we got on the road. He actually got in his truck and
- 1:55left. My fear is I will see him on our
- 1:58street at the launch ramp and the grocery store.
- 2:01I'm trying to avoid contact, however it's bound to happen.
- 2:04Does this count as me breaking no contact when I have an
- 2:09accidental run in? Do I need to go to my Celenzio
- 2:12app and click that I broke no contact every time this happens?
- 2:15If so, how am I ever going to get to the 45 to 60 days sweet
- 2:20spot? Excellent question.
- 2:23So good news, good news. You did not break no contact
- 2:28just by being at the same place at the same time.
- 2:32So the golden rule to remember is first of all, why is no
- 2:38contact contact important? Two reasons.
- 2:41One, to help you to get over your ex, to give you a better
- 2:46perspective by not having contact.
- 2:48And then two, if you want them back, yes, it's helpful to get
- 2:51them back. So how do you get them back
- 2:53because of no contact? What does that do?
- 2:56It gives them space and also it gives them hopefully anxiety and
- 3:02it creates mystery because they don't hear from you and they
- 3:05expect to hear from you and they're wondering, do you even
- 3:09want them back? If they change your mind, why
- 3:11aren't you contacting them? What's going on?
- 3:14The question mark becomes a hook and it hooks them back in.
- 3:18This is why we do no contact. So therefore the golden rule is
- 3:23that as long as they still do not know whether you want them
- 3:28back, as long as the mystery is still there, as long as they
- 3:32still have anxiety, then you didn't break no contact.
- 3:36So simply being in the same location as them
- 3:40unintentionally, in the sense that you didn't, no, they were
- 3:43going to be there right now. If you went there deliberately
- 3:46and they knew you went there deliberately, then yes, you
- 3:48broke no contact because you because you've now relieved
- 3:51their anxiety. But if you're at the same
- 3:54location but you don't look at them, you don't make eye contact
- 3:57or wave, and you just happen to be there.
- 3:59No, you didn't break no contact. If they contacted you but you
- 4:05don't respond and you leave them unread, no, you didn't break.
- 4:09No contact. If they contact you about
- 4:12getting your other stuff or giving you your stuff and you
- 4:17respond. No, you didn't break no contact
- 4:20because you're simply communicating about the stuff
- 4:24now. If they contact you about the
- 4:25stuff and then you throw in there, I miss you so much.
- 4:29Can we get back together? I love you.
- 4:31Then you're broke. No contact.
- 4:33If they contact you about something regarding business, if
- 4:36you have a business together, or if you work together, if they
- 4:40owe you money, if you owe them money, if you have kids
- 4:43together, of course you're going to respond.
- 4:46But again, as long as it's it's in the context of what they are
- 4:51calling you about, then no, you didn't break any contact.
- 4:55It would be crazy if you didn't respond.
- 4:56It's like, hey, where'd they go? But again, if they contact you
- 5:01for that reason, or you have to contact them for that reason and
- 5:05you again relieve their anxiety by saying you miss them, you
- 5:08want them back, blah blah blah, then you broke no contact.
- 5:12If they contact you for your birthday and you say thank you,
- 5:15no you did not break no contact. You're just being polite.
- 5:19Just because you said thank you, it doesn't mean that you want
- 5:22them back. But again, if they contact you
- 5:25for your birthday and you say thank you, I miss you.
- 5:29I love you. Then you broke no contact.
- 5:31Now obviously if you contact them for their birthday, then
- 5:34you did bring no contact because now you're showing that you are
- 5:38still interested. This is why we don't respond to
- 5:45bread crumbs. Because people say, well, I just
- 5:48said one word. I just said hi or I just said
- 5:50I'm OK. I don't care.
- 5:52It doesn't matter if you just said one word or you kept it
- 5:56short. It's the fact that you responded
- 5:59and you relieve their anxiety about whether you were even
- 6:01going to respond, so you don't respond to a breadcrumb.
- 6:05They still have anxiety. They don't know if you want to
- 6:08get back together, and they they think you probably don't.
- 6:10But if they throw you a breadcrumb, which is what
- 6:13they're trying to do, a lot of the time is to see if you're
- 6:15going to respond, to give them some hope, to relieve them of
- 6:18anxiety. Yes.
- 6:19Now you have broken no contact. If you respond to it, and
- 6:24obviously if you contact them, and it's not for the reasons
- 6:30I've mentioned regarding getting your stuff, giving them money,
- 6:34getting their stuff, having kids together, business, etcetera,
- 6:37then yes, you definitely broke no contact.
- 6:41So the golden rule of breaking no contact means that you've
- 6:44broken the illusion that you're not necessarily interested in
- 6:49getting back together and that you don't miss them and that
- 6:52you're pining away for them. Meaning that you've now relieved
- 6:56their anxiety because they see that there is interest there and
- 7:00you do miss them and you are pining away for them.
- 7:03Okay. So I hope this clears things up.
- 7:05I know there was some confusion and now I want to hear from you.
