U.A.E. opens investigation into FlyDubai cockpit attack
The United Arab Emirates has officially opened a terrorism investigation into the mid-air cockpit assault aboard Flydubai Flight FZ1073. Led by UAE Attorney General Hamad Saif Al Shamsi, a specialized team of public prosecutors is actively investigating whether the Omani co-pilot's violent attempt to crash the Tel Aviv-bound plane was linked to terrorist activity, prior planning, or external direction.
