- 0:28Speaker 1: Hey there, kendra here, and I have a treat for you.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Today we're going to be diving in headfirst into the world of AI productivity hacks.
- 0:36Speaker 1: And who doesn't want to be more productive?
- 0:38Speaker 1: Trust me, by the end of this episode, you're going to be wondering how you ever survived without these digital dynamos.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So grab your tea, your coffee, your soda, whatever you prefer, get comfy and let's chat about how AI can be your new BFF in the workflow game.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So let's kick things off with a little confession.
- 0:56Speaker 1: I used to spend hours and hours and hours on tasks that take me minutes.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Now, I put them off, I delayed them, I hated them, right?
- 1:06Speaker 1: It's like I found, you know, that secret passage in the video game that you used to go and it would take you to a secret level.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Well, I feel like I found that with AI, and I want to share that cheat code with you all.
- 1:21Speaker 1: I love scrolling through TikTok and I see all these people who say AI made me a millionaire or I built my entire business just levering AI by having it create content and ideas for me.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Well, I think one person might have even said that they didn't really even understand what AI created for them and now they were selling it.
- 1:40Speaker 1: It's a little crazy, so I'm not going to say that they're lying, but I am a big fan of.
- 1:46Speaker 1: If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is.
- 1:49Speaker 1: I believe in leveraging AI to save time and effort and get rid of the boring stuff.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I really, I really, really, really hate doing that boring stuff.
- 2:02Speaker 1: So let's talk a little bit about something close to my heart podcasting.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You know this very show you're listening to.
- 2:08Speaker 1: Well, ai is my secret weapon here.
- 2:10Speaker 1: My process is very streamlined.
- 2:12Speaker 1: For my podcast, I write and create all my own content.
- 2:16Speaker 1: My interviews are not AI generated this is really me here, not something that's AI generated but the production part of the process has a lot of help from AI.
- 2:26Speaker 1: Unlike Joaquin Phoenix in Her the movie, I'm not looking for an AI to be my best friend, but when it comes to podcast production, ai tools like Riversidefm and ChatGPT are definitely my trusty sidekicks.
- 2:41Speaker 1: So first up, let's talk a little bit about Riversidefm.
- 2:44Speaker 1: This game changing tool doesn't just record my episodes.
- 2:48Speaker 1: It creates a transcript that is like gold dust for what comes next.
- 2:53Speaker 1: I take that transcript and feed it into ChatGPT or Claudeai and boom, I have a draft of my show notes.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Here's the kicker, though I always add my own voice.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I've got a show notes outline that I've perfected over time.
- 3:09Speaker 1: This personal touch ensures my content stays authentic and on brand.
- 3:13Speaker 1: I bulk record.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Today I'm recording four episodes and tomorrow I'm recording five interview episodes.
- 3:21Speaker 1: Okay, I am leveraging the transcripts and it saves me a ridiculous amount of time.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Back in the olden days, like I don't know a year ago, I had to pay an arm and a leg for a transcript or I had to re-listen to the episode.
- 3:38Speaker 1: That's a lot of time, even if you listen to it on two times speed.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Now here's where it gets really cool.
- 3:45Speaker 1: With Riversidefm, it also creates these things called magic clips.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I love the magic clips.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I can use these across all social media after a little bit of editing, because I don't think any of them have ever come out perfect.
- 3:58Speaker 1: But wait, there's more.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Okay, I love saying that I take the transcripts of these clips and I use AI to draft social posts, youtube shorts, titles and descriptions.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It's really like having a marketing team that drafts everything for you, or a squad of marketing interns in your pocket that you can leverage.
- 4:20Speaker 1: The best part about this is that the AI-powered workflow saves me at least three hours an episode.
- 4:27Speaker 1: That's six hours.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Hours a week because I do two episodes, that's three hours.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I can spend connecting with you all, brainstorming new ideas, maybe just enjoying a well-deserved glass of wine.
- 4:42Speaker 1: Who can say no to that?
- 4:44Speaker 1: Now let's talk images.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I'm going to be honest.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Sometimes using AI for image creation can be trickier and a lot more work than just buying an image that someone else took, and a lot of the copyright rules and regulations around it right now are really gray.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So if you really want to use an AI generated image, you totally should do it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Make sure that you let people know that it's AI generated.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I have a few on some of my landing pages, but I make sure that I share the prompts that created that result.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Overall, I can spend a lot of time messing around with an image in AI and still be really unhappy with it in the end.
- 5:23Speaker 1: But here's a hack.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I love Canva's newer AI tools.
- 5:28Speaker 1: If you've got your own images and you're looking to create stories or reels, these tools can be a game changer.
- 5:35Speaker 1: They're like having a graphic designer on speed dial, minus the hefty invoice.
- 5:40Speaker 1: It really gives you a great start on your project and can save you a ton of time.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Now, do you remember that?
- 5:47Speaker 1: You versus the guy she told you not to worry about meme that went around back in I don't know 2016?
- 5:53Speaker 1: I think it started in 2015.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Well, that's kind of like my graphic design skills versus Canva's AI tools.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Thankfully, with Canva, I can create images that look a little bit like they were made by the other guy.
- 6:04Speaker 1: But wait, there's more.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Again, like I said, I love saying that, okay, ai is not just for content creation.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Let me introduce you to some of my favorite AI organizational tools.
- 6:15Speaker 1: These all have links or referral tools.
- 6:18Speaker 1: If you want to check them out on my Casey's Toolkit page on my website, you can visit KendraCormancom slash tools to check these out.
- 6:26Speaker 1: And more note taker in your meetings.
- 6:32Speaker 1: It listens, take notes or could even create action items for you, and it does a good job.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I've been finding issues with some of the ones built into Zoom that I'm not liking as much, and so Fathom's like magic, but better because it's real.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Okay, now I took some time off of Fathom Again using some other tools like the ones built into Zoom.
- 6:55Speaker 1: They just weren't the same.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Now, sanebox is my favorite, one of my favorites.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I've been using it for the longest time and had no idea it was AI because we really weren't talking about it back then.
- 7:07Speaker 1: But if you feel like your inbox is a black hole, sanebox uses AI to organize your emails, making sure the important stuff doesn't get lost in the noise.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I get upwards of over 150 emails a day and my goal is to always get to inbox zero before the end of the day.
- 7:22Speaker 1: It doesn't always happen and it's not a super easy thing to do, but triaging with SaneBox saves me a ton of time and effort hours a week.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Now Asana is my go-to project management task management tool.
- 7:37Speaker 1: They've added some AI features in the past couple of months that are well actually it might be the past year by now.
- 7:43Speaker 1: They are starting to do work wonders for me.
- 7:48Speaker 1: I can add in a bunch of details about a task.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It can suggest subtasks or expand on the description.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Whatever you're looking to do, especially if you're looking to create tasks for others, it can give you a bit of help in that process.
- 8:02Speaker 1: It's like having a super smart assistant who never sleeps, which is always important, right?
- 8:09Speaker 1: Finally, let me share with you perplexityai.
- 8:11Speaker 1: This has replaced a lot of me Googling things.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I needed to write a standard operating procedure for a client on how to load a YouTube video on a Roku TV.
- 8:22Speaker 1: Well, 90% of that is really Roku and YouTube, with just a bit of the client's channel and video details.
- 8:30Speaker 1: Perplexity gave me the summary for this SOP and the way and format that I needed it, and it even gave me sources so I could track back and make sure that the information was reliable, because that's important.
- 8:42Speaker 1: It truly makes research easy and fun to do and, in the end, it saves me time from reading through page after page after page of different website content to really figure out and find what I need of different website content, to really figure out and find what I need.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I love, love, love comparing these tools to superheroes, because that's fun for me.
- 9:01Speaker 1: So let's bring in the Avengers here.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Fathom is like our Captain America, always ready to take notes and lead the charge.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Sanebox is like the Black Widow, stealthily organizing our inboxes.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And Asana well, that's our Ironman, constantly upgrading and making our project management smarter.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Now the true benefit of these AI tools this they're all great right, but what's really the benefit?
- 9:27Speaker 1: It's buying back your time.
- 9:29Speaker 1: I recently read that amazing book by Dan Martell called Buy Back your Time and let me tell you it was very eye-opening.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I loved it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Loved it.
- 9:37Speaker 1: And Dan talks about something called the DRIP matrix, d-r-i-p.
- 9:42Speaker 1: It helps you see how valuable a task is in the terms of money and energy.
- 9:49Speaker 1: The goal Spend most of your time on things that light you up, preferably things that make you money too, but those investment pieces that might not be cash cows yet have potential, and that's where you should be spending your time.
- 10:02Speaker 1: All those tasks you hate, like I don't know rewatching your podcast episode for the third time to make sure that you know what's in it those ones that drain your energy and creativity.
- 10:13Speaker 1: That's where AI really, really, really shines.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Okay, it can take over those and replace those replacement and delegation tasks, freeing you up for the big picture stuff.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Unlike Marty McFly in Back to the Future, we can't hop into DeLorean and give ourselves more time, but with these AI tools it's almost like we're bending the laws of time management.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I want you to take a minute and think about where you're spending your time.
- 10:39Speaker 1: What tasks do you dread, what tasks do you put off or what frogs are you eating first, and how can you offload them to buy back your time?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Now a word of caution.
- 10:50Speaker 1: I'm not saying you should try every AI tool out there.
- 10:53Speaker 1: In fact, I'd caution against that.
- 10:55Speaker 1: I want you to be selective.
- 10:57Speaker 1: More importantly, be careful with the data you share.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Ai is a tool.
- 11:01Speaker 1: It is not a magic wand.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Now I'm not saying I'm sort of hoping that AI is not going to turn into Skynet from the Terminator but, just like Sarah Connor, we need to be smart about how we use these powerful tools.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So there you have it.
- 11:18Speaker 1: With the right AI tools and a smart approach, you can save hours each week and dozens of hours each month.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Dozens of hours each month.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I've become so productive between my VA and AI.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I'm hardly wasting on thing any time on things that don't light me up.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Now, remember, the goal isn't to replace your creativity or expertise.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's to enhance it, to give you more time to do what you do best.
- 11:42Speaker 1: Being an awesome fill-in-the-blank here for whatever you're awesome at.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Now here's your homework.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I want you to pick one AI tool we discussed today.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Give it a try.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Or, if you're really adventurous, I want you to think about a process you need to offload and investigate whether or not you could save time delegating it to AI.
- 12:03Speaker 1: And while you're doing that, go ahead and ask perplexityai to check it out.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Then I want you to share your experience on social media.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Use the hashtag hashtag AI marketing win.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Be sure to tag me at Kendra Corman or at Kendra Corman coach, depending on what social media tool you're on, because I can't wait to see how you all leverage these tools to supercharge your productivity.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Until next time, keep innovating, keep creating and remember AI is not here to replace you.
- 12:35Speaker 1: It's here to empower you.
- 12:37Speaker 1: If you learned something today, please rate and subscribe wherever you're listening or watching.
- 12:41Speaker 1: See you next time.
