- 0:10One day they wake up and they think, you know what, I'm going
- 0:13to get back with my ex? Nope, that is not how it
- 0:17happens. There's a very specific chain of
- 0:19events that most people have no idea is even happening.
- 0:25So in this video, I'm going to walk you through exactly what
- 0:28happens before your ex reaches out and what your silence is
- 0:33really doing behind the scenes. So if you've been wondering, are
- 0:36they thinking about me? Is no contact working?
- 0:40Keep watching because I'm going to tell you what really happens
- 0:43before your ex comes back. Hi, this is Lucia with the art

- 1:12button and the counter or whatever you want to call it.
- 1:16I don't know. That tells you how long you've
- 1:17been in no contact, so as soon as that is done, I will let you
- 1:21know. And if you too would like to

- 1:39All right, so let's get right into it.
- 1:42The first thing that happens before your ex comes back is
- 1:45that they realize that you've stopped chasing them.
- 1:48You're not trying to get them back anymore.
- 1:50You've stopped reaching out, stop checking in, stop doing
- 1:54anything to keep the connection alive.
- 1:56You've finally gone quiet. Now a lot of people hate no
- 2:01contact because they think their ex is going to forget them.
- 2:05If someone is going to forget you just because you stopped
- 2:09chasing them, then they were never really attached in the
- 2:13first place. So what you're clinging to isn't
- 2:16love, it's fear. Fear of being abandoned, fear of
- 2:20losing control, and fear that you weren't enough.
- 2:24But if you stay in no contact just to remind them that you
- 2:27exist, all you're doing is training them to believe that
- 2:31they can have you on their terms, no effort required.
- 2:36No contact isn't about making them forget you, it's about
- 2:41breaking the pattern that made you so easy to walk away from.
- 2:45People remember what they lose, they forget what's always
- 2:49available. So when you disappear, they
- 2:52finally have to sit with the silence and the consequences of
- 2:55their decision. And that's when clarity hits.
- 2:57So the real question isn't what if they forget me, It's what if
- 3:02they never respect me because I couldn't walk away?
- 3:07As I've said many times before, you can't have love without
- 3:10respect. And then there are also people
- 3:13who think that they need to stay in touch otherwise their ex will
- 3:16move on. Well, I have news for you.
- 3:19Staying in touch does not stop someone from moving on, but it
- 3:23does stop you from healing. So they get to feel your
- 3:28presence, your interest, your reassurance while they slowly
- 3:32detach in peace. I mean, who wouldn't want that?
- 3:36So by the time they actually move on, you're emotionally
- 3:40wrecked. And they're fine because they
- 3:42wean themselves off you little by little with your help.
- 3:46They used you to get over you. And you're going to be so mad at
- 3:51yourself when you realize that if someone's going to move on,
- 3:55they're going to do it whether you text them or not.
- 3:58You cannot control that. What you can control is whether
- 4:02you keep your dignity and let them feel your absence.
- 4:07People don't re evaluate something they still have access
- 4:11to. They re evaluate when the axis
- 4:14is gone. OK, so hopefully I've convinced
- 4:17you to get into no contact if you haven't yet and to stay
- 4:20there. So in the beginning, when you do
- 4:23no contact or before that, they thought that you would never
- 4:28stop. They figured, Oh well, she'll
- 4:30always be there, she's not going anywhere.
- 4:32But then finally, the silence hits and they start noticing
- 4:35what's missing. Your energy, your attention,
- 4:37your validation. And at first they feel relieved.
- 4:42They tell themselves they needed the space.
- 4:43But that doesn't last long because the longer your science
- 4:47continues, the louder it gets. And that's the moment everything
- 4:52starts to shift. Next we have the grass is
- 4:57greener fantasy, which starts to crumble.
- 5:00They thought that life would be better without you.
- 5:02They thought someone you would make them happier, calmer, more
- 5:05fulfilled. But it does not play out that
- 5:07way. If there was a rebound, the
- 5:09connection is not the same. It might have been exciting or
- 5:13easy at first, but it's surface level.
- 5:15There's no real depth. And without depth, there's no
- 5:18bond. And then the comparisons start
- 5:21and every comparison reminds them of what they had with you.
- 5:25And in my experience, you only meet someone that you really,
- 5:29really connect with about once every 10 years.
- 5:35Yep. So when they realize they threw
- 5:38that away, the regret starts creeping in.
- 5:42Even if they try to hide it now for avoiding XS, their
- 5:48commitment issues resurface. And they have commitment issues
- 5:53not because they don't care, but because closeness feels
- 5:56threatening and when things get deep, they panic.
- 6:00So they convinced themselves they needed space.
- 6:02But now that you're gone, now that you've finally stopped
- 6:05chasing, you're no longer a threat.
- 6:07The pressure is gone, and from their perspective, it feels safe
- 6:12to think about you again. And that's why avoidance often
- 6:16circle back when you finally detach.
- 6:19Because that's the first time they feel that they can come
- 6:21closer without losing control #4 they realize it wasn't you, it
- 6:28was them. It's not you, it's me.
- 6:31So during the relationship, they told themselves that you were
- 6:33the problem. You were too emotional, too
- 6:35demanding, too unavailable, whatever fit their narrative.
- 6:38But then they start dating someone new and what do you
- 6:42know? The same problems show up again.
- 6:45And that's when it finally clicks.
- 6:47Oh my God, they are the common denominator.
- 6:50And that realization hurts. And it's also what cracks their
- 6:55defenses. When they finally see that the
- 6:57issue wasn't you, they begin to see the relationship and you in
- 7:01a completely different light. Isn't that wonderful #5 The
- 7:06uncertainty sets in. So after the breakup, they might
- 7:11have felt confident, certain. But as time passes, that
- 7:15certainty fades. They start replaying moments in
- 7:18their mind, the good times, the laughter, the connection.
- 7:21And suddenly they're not so sure anymore.
- 7:25And then selective memory kicks in.
- 7:27They forget the negatives and remember the positives.
- 7:32And then friends and family start asking, wait, you broke up
- 7:35with them? Why?
- 7:36And that only fuels the doubt. They also realize that every day
- 7:41that goes by increases the chances that you might actually
- 7:44move on. That's why it's so important
- 7:46that they don't know that you still want them back when they
- 7:50think that you're doing fine. That you can live without them.
- 7:56Then their uncertainty grows, and that's exactly what makes
- 8:00them reach out. That's why you want to be
- 8:02careful what you say to mutual friends or family.
- 8:05Because word travels fast. So if your ex hears that you're
- 8:10still waiting, it's going to kill the mystery.
- 8:12And I did a whole video on that about what to say to family and
- 8:16friends. And I will put the link in the
- 8:18upper right hand corner on YouTube.
- 8:21And when I say put the link in the upper right hand corner, I
- 8:23actually mean that you have to be looking at the video.
- 8:26And when I say I'm putting the link, a little something's gonna
- 8:29pop up then. Yeah, the title of the video is
- 8:31gonna pop up because someone said, hey, you never put the
- 8:33link. It's like, yes, I did.
- 8:35You're not looking in the right place, right place.
- 8:39Losing my voice here. OK.
- 8:41And then finally, anxiety takes over.
- 8:45So they start thinking, what if I never find some like them
- 8:48again? And that fear pushes them toward
- 8:50the only thing that ever felt safe.
- 8:52That would be you. But that anxiety has to build.
- 8:56They have to experience life without you.
- 8:59They have to face the loneliness, the quiet.
- 9:01Birthdays without a birthday text, right?
- 9:05Stressful moments where you're not there to help.
- 9:08They need to feel the void that you left.
- 9:12If they're not feeling that, if you're still giving them
- 9:15comfort, validation, attention, they'll never miss you enough to
- 9:19come back. That's why no contact is so
- 9:22powerful. It removes the comfort, it
- 9:25forces the contrast, and it lets the reality sink in.
- 9:29And this process takes time. And I actually did a video on
- 9:33that too, about no contact on the power of time.
- 9:36And I will put the link in the upper right hand corner of the
- 9:40video. And just because you don't see
- 9:44evidence of this happening and doesn't mean it's not happening.
- 9:47They're not going to post I miss you.
- 9:49They're not going to tell their friends they're regretting it
- 9:51usually. But behind the scenes it's
- 9:54happening. And when they finally feel the
- 9:57full weight of losing you, that's when they come back.
- 10:00Hallelujah. So now I want to hear from you.
- 10:05How long have you been in no contact and how is it going?
