- 8:38SPEAKER_00: Okay, from kabaya kwanza or before?
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: Mwanzo kabisa tuanze from the beginning.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: From the beginning.
- 8:46SPEAKER_00: From the beginning of my journey, right?
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah.
- 8:49SPEAKER_00: Ilianza, I was 17 years old.
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: The first um fashion show that I did was Swaili Fashion Week.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: So I've always had the passion of modeling, but um I come from a background that maybe this was not very common.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: But my mom, my mom was always like, this is your dream and you have to achieve it.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: So when I came back, my mom would always push me, like, you have to fight for your dreams.
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: So I remember um one of my cousins, Alin to me, a poster for Suaevi Fashion Week Auditions.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Uh, I think he was in town.
- 9:28SPEAKER_00: So I went, Lilikwasina Via Tovirefu, I don't know anything about this.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: I just go, my mom had a saloon in Miko Cheni.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I just go, get ready, went.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: And surprisingly, when I got there, I just asked one of the girls, uh, can I borrow your heels?
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: So the heels was not fitted.
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: Ilikua Kumbo Sana.
- 9:47SPEAKER_00: I've never done this before.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: I just walked, and surprisingly, they chose me and Milipita the auditions, and that was the first year in 2014, Nilishinda um best new face of the year.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: So that's where my journey started.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: I was in the industry, and then um I went to Miss Tanzania.
- 10:09SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did Miss Tanzania.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: I passed Nili Shinda, Miss Dar, Miss Dar City Center, Miss Ilala, and then Miss Tanzania, I was second runner up.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: Yes, a lot of there was a lot of stories also there.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: Many people were like, she deserved to win.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: So it was a lot of, it also went viral.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Why didn't she win?
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: She answered the question very well, what happened?
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: And then after there, I was I remember I was very broken.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: You know, maybe you saw a lot of things, I'm like, okay, I don't know if I want to do this again.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: So Nakumbuka, I went back home.
- 10:46SPEAKER_00: I was just watching videos.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Nikuna to say, okay, if I cannot do Miss Tanzania, because Ukishina Miss Tanzania Miss World.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: So if I can't, if I can't fulfill my dream for Miss World, what next?
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: You know.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: So I started looking online, then I saw Miss Universe, Miss Grand.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: I was like, wow, this Miss Grand is very nice, this is very nice.
- 11:06SPEAKER_00: But then after being, you know, facing a lot of things, you feel like, how are you gonna do this again?
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: So it took me two years.
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: Two years, nothing really two, until I was like, um, I have to do this now because I'm I'm going.
- 11:23SPEAKER_00: And at that time, these competitions, there was an age limit.
- 11:28SPEAKER_00: So I got into Miss Universe.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: I won Miss Universe.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: That was the first time I won.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: I could not immediately after coming back the next day.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: I went to the auditions for Miss Grand.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: And they were like, sorry, jihan, you have a title, you you cannot compete.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: So for me, like the most difficult thing was I felt like this is what I want to do and I want to do it.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: But every time I tried, it was difficult because Tyranil Kuwa and the title, this is Miss Universe.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: How can you go back and compete?
- 12:02SPEAKER_00: So it took me a very long time.
- 12:05SPEAKER_00: Um, I was always waiting, maybe somebody will appoint me.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: Like Chihan, please can you go represent Tanzania?
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: But it never happened.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: Year after year, year after year, so just thankfully, I feel like this year everything came into place, and I came back, I did Miss Tanz Miss Miss Grand Tanzania, and it's something that I've really wanted to do.
- 12:27SPEAKER_00: I won and then Miss Grand International.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: It still feels crazy to say I won Miss Grand International, but yeah, yeah.
- 12:36SPEAKER_01: If you kutoka kunye kun you family, uh kuny familia mbayo onafanya na opia fashion, I'm a kuna Shanghai mama, Ali kunim to a fashion.
- 12:46SPEAKER_01: I'm inspiration yeah kufanya uh fashion modelings.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Um I know that I don't know.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: In my family there is no one, but my mom, ana an appendia fashion, she likes to sketch, draw clothes.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: When we were young, Aliquana, she used to help us make our clothes for graduation.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So I think my mom has it, but not like you know, pageants or modeling, just more fashion and beauty.
- 13:15SPEAKER_00: My mom, yes, my mom.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: But um when I started, I think ever since I was young, I would always like to I I change clothes, hairstyle, nanda, chini, na timbea, I'm like this and this all the time since I was young.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: And everywhere I used to walk, watu walikwa na nina, Miss Tanzania, Miss Tanzania, Miss Tanzania.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: So it's something that I grew up with.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:39SPEAKER_01: Uh to mchkue jihanu sasahivi, and by huya na taitua Miss Grand International.
- 13:45SPEAKER_01: Tu kam kutanisha na yule jihanu a miyaka kumi nasaba.
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: Ambay ndo kwaanza, likua ananza, nenda koni machindano akyona via tu vikobu, atana via kuazima.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: Uh unadani ata atam shaurinini, kusiana na kuyaribu, kusiana maisha la kinipi, kusiana na fashion kodium.
- 14:09SPEAKER_00: I would tell I would tell her um your dreams are valid, you know.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Uh, cause when I started, I had a dream.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: But after going through so much, I lost, you know, you lose hope, you feel like, can this really happen?
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: So I would tell her, your dreams are valid, it's possible, keep fighting, and then there's gonna be a time you will make it.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Nahu Jihano Sasahivi, Nikitugenia na kielewa zaidiku, siana na uhitu kinacho itwa Ushindani, Maisha, lifeless on sambazu.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: Jiha no sasahi na zieleo like, you love you.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Of course, there's so many.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Uh Miss Tanzania, I didn't know.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: I just was like, I'm here to compete, this is my dream.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: But after everything, when I went to Miss Universe, I realized that's what I'm saying.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: You know, there is winning and losing.
- 15:05SPEAKER_00: You can win, you so you have to prepare yourself for both.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: So I think these are lessons that as I kept going on, I started understanding.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Napia, kuni, um beauty pageants.
- 15:17SPEAKER_00: One big lesson I've learned is you might have the talent, but you need to grow the skills.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: You know, you can be okay, you can say you want to be a beauty pageant, but kuna catwalk, kuna speaking skills, you know, there's so many makeup, you know, how to dress.
- 15:36SPEAKER_00: So all this requires a team.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: And if you're not able to get a team, you need people that can help you.
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: It's not just something you can do yourself, you know.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: So one thing I've learned is um you do need to grow the skills that you have and you need people to to help you in in putting everything together before you get on stage.
- 15:59SPEAKER_01: Now nasema ukingia mtandaoni onasema ukitaka kunu ogum visasahivi, mgusem twoa.
- 16:06SPEAKER_01: Sasa kamo naza kuyibia, na onezo ka fanya hivo.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: Sasa mikuna kituna tamane jifunze kutoka kwako.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: Mwakel fumbilina kumina nene na ngalia, uli ingia mis uh Tanzania na ukamaliza second runner.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 16:19SPEAKER_01: Uh badae miya kamiwili badae moka elfumbilina kumi na sita uka ngia mis universe, ko Tanzania u kwa shinda.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: Then uenda kuwa kili shanchi na kimataifa.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Nasema tumi likua siuhu kupatakitu nasema awkua kati.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 16:34SPEAKER_01: Elf mbeli na kumi nasita.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: Then kumetokia na gepla miya kakama kumi.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: Kutoka elf mbeli na kumi na sita mpakatu nakuja kuita futel fumbilina ishirini na sita.
- 16:44SPEAKER_01: Likwa ghosti nane na kumbuka.
- 16:46SPEAKER_01: Mekuya kurudi tena u kiwanu wakilisha mko mwanza na okashinda uh mis grand Tanzania.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: Kwyyehi miakakumi hapa.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Neza zaidi, nine gi waki na to kiaa konye imi akakumi.
- 17:08SPEAKER_00: I was.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: Ninge kneha like something like this will happen in my life.
- 17:12SPEAKER_00: Those ten years I would have prepared myself, but no.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: Like I told you before, um I just after uh 2016, Libyonda kuwa kiwisha Tanzania for Miss Universe, and I came back the next day, Niliana kunya auditions, yeah, Miss Grand.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: It's something that I've always wanted to do, but um it was hard because after some time passed, people knew me in Tanzania and I was Miss Universe Tanzania.
- 17:39SPEAKER_00: So you already have a name.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: Nigga somehow you guys, I'm coming back to compete.
- 17:43SPEAKER_00: It was a little bit difficult for people to understand.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: So it did take me some time.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: I was always waiting.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe there will be a time they will appoint me, but it never happened.
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: And I've always had the dream, yeah, kwenya machindaro and especially Miss Grand.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: So time after time it was not happening, and I think this year was just the perfect year for me, I think.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Like Kochi said, it was the time.
- 18:10SPEAKER_00: And I was like, okay, this has been my dream.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: I've wanted to be Miss Grand Tanzania, I've wanted to represent Tanzania, so let me, if this is the only way machine dano to compete, then I will have to do it.
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: So apakatkatimanaiko yimekumula yarn.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, I tried.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: Immediately when I came back in 2016, the next day, Leander Kwanya auditions, and they're like, sorry, Gian, you have a title, you know, you cannot compete now, maybe next year.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: So also with Miss Grant Tanzania, there was a time it was they stopped.
- 18:43SPEAKER_00: In 2018, Pia somebody looked for me to come for Miss Grant Tanzania.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: We took pictures like we're going to represent Tanzania, but something happened, it was cancelled.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: So my story with Miss Grant Tanzania, I kept trying and trying, but it was not happening.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: And then just this year everything fell into place.
- 19:00SPEAKER_00: So niluko na jaribu every time, like okay, how can I go?
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: How?
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: I've tried, yeah.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: Twice twice.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I tried when I came back, but it just didn't work.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: To be honest, no.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: I think the only time I experienced something hard, nibare ku ku 2014 in Miss Tanzania.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: When I did not win, everything was shocking for me.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: So I was that that was hard.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: It took me two years to see Mama Tana and say, like, you know what, Jihan, Miyaka's in a prita, if you don't do this now, when?
- 19:56SPEAKER_00: So I think that was the most hard part for me.
- 19:59SPEAKER_00: But other than that, throughout the years, I just um I just kept doing me.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: You know, if I'm not doing beauty, I'm doing fashion.
- 20:07SPEAKER_00: If I'm not doing fashion, I'm doing beauty.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: So I I I just kept going, kept going.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: But if you tell me 10 years later I'll be Miss Grant.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: No?
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: Because I already went in 2016, and I saw how tough the competition is.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: You know, it's not like you just go and you I I would not think, no.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: Mami Ambacho Nawaza kukupa Hungera and Kosababu, kunye njia mba uliko na pita.
- 20:36SPEAKER_01: Yes wab oliku powa tu mbao mefanya makubwa mei before.

- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Nanemba ukunam consult sa about kulenji?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, um so there's my mom, my mom, my sister, and my national director.
- 21:08SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And before anything, I consult them.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: A lot of advice who shaori, um, my national director, she used to come to my room in Thailand.
- 21:21SPEAKER_00: Sa Saba Usiku, Sanan, I just saw Kumi.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: She's just, she's there.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: Chihan, you have to do this, turn like this, do this, you know.
- 21:28SPEAKER_00: And my mom, my mom and my little sister, Walin Shaori, Sana, Sana, Sana, Jihan, you can do this, you can win.
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: And then they're like, okay, you need to look for this catwalk trainer, you know, hair, makeup.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: So yeah, this three people.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Well, Katigan will kong gum muzaidi kunya mandalisi.
- 21:47SPEAKER_01: Miss Grand International, here mmunkbility.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: Uh, here in Miss Current Hans International.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: I think for me, my one One of my challenges was um I had a short time, and then I had to go in September.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: So I had a short time to bring everything together.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: So I feel for me the hardest part was the outfits.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: You know, when you want to get outfits, you have to take them to designers, way ting neze napeal, and they're not going to be able to kidogo.
- 22:21SPEAKER_00: So I didn't have that much time.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: So I remember when I went there and I just realized I don't have a lot of outfits.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: But my national director and the team, Miss Grant Hansenia team, there's a person from our team, and it was Andrew, and they go to designers in Thailand anytime.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: They will bring the outfits and then we try.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: So I think one of my challenges was was the time and to get everything ready before going to Thailand.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: I think this is just from my experience.
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: Kilanikenda, I hear a lot of people talk about our tourism, you know.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: They will talk about uh the the tourism that we have here and also Zanzibar.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: These are two things I feel wali kwa everywhere I go when you hear Tanzania, when Hong Kaliasana, these things.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: So I think it's the tourism.
- 23:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but also from my experience, um, like I got the chance to represent Tanzania.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: According to your character and the way you behave and people know you, that's what also sets you apart.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: So if I also so I feel like the person that you are, the people of Tanzania is also what puts Tanzania on the map.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 24:01SPEAKER_01: Katya vitu mbavio and strength piako, mimi binafsin meitambu, ni kufanya kituambacho wwengini hawyoha hi kufanya.
- 24:31SPEAKER_01: Mwama, hanam twa kwenda kumuliza.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: Una danni kitulianeo wakichikuwa kuduko kwyen safari ako.
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: I wish they take and what I wanna tell people, everything that is happening in my life, and all this that's happening is truly the grace of God.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: You know?
- 24:47SPEAKER_00: So if there's something I could advise them is put God first and don't give up on your dreams.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: You know, you were created with a purpose and for a reason.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: If you take example my story, ever since I was small, napend of ramble, you know, modeling, it's something I like.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: You cannot take it out from me.
- 25:07SPEAKER_00: I'm like, okay, but I still want to go on stage.
- 25:10SPEAKER_00: So that thing that you have is something that's God given.
- 25:14SPEAKER_01: So Yeah, Malaesi.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: I was very young, and I remember there was a name, but there was a magazine close to home, a magazine house.
- 25:31SPEAKER_00: I don't know what was it called, something with bang.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: I don't remember.
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: But my mom was like, Chi-han, you need to fight Nikki slack, just a little bit.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Chihan, you need to fight for your dreams.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: And then she will take me there and uh try to introduce me to these people.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: So she knew I had this dream, but she was like, nothing is going to stop you.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: I'm going to, you know, make sure you make it happen.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: So she played a huge, huge, huge role.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: Now, Pia Nilvianza, all these machindanos, she was always every step of the way, Miss Tanzania, Miss Universe, Miss Grant, everything.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: My mom is always there with me every step of the way.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: So she played a huge role.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: Of course, Nadani Zukwa Tuny narratives is up and apart.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: But ille speech and bowl it was a bongge modela speech.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 27:00SPEAKER_00: Um, so there are two things.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: Um you speak, we had to speak about stop the war.
- 27:06SPEAKER_00: So for me, Likua Risi to speak is because I at that time I was getting a lot of support from Tanzania.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: I was like, I'm going there on stage and I'm speaking about my country and I know this is our truth, you know.
- 27:20SPEAKER_00: I'm speaking about my people.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: So it was very easy because I just felt like everyone was supporting me and backing me.
- 27:26SPEAKER_00: So Likua Ray, about you know, peace and and unity.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: But during the top five question, I'll love about love, equality.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: So I feel like even after winning, even before winning, when I met all the girls, one thing they used to say is, Jihan, I hope you win because you're very genuine.
- 27:48SPEAKER_00: So even after you know being crowned Miss Grand International, I will continue to be that person who spreads love, who speaks in love, and I hope that will inspire people.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: But using my platform, I wish to use it in um in the field that I've grown in, which is fashion and beauty.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: So there's a lot of things that will start coming soon.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: But the areas that I'm going to base in will be fashion and beauty.
- 28:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:14SPEAKER_00: And to inspire girls to know you can build a career with fashion and beauty.
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: You don't have to do anything wrong, you know?
- 28:23SPEAKER_00: You don't have to take the shortcut or a wrong way.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: You can do it right and you can achieve something.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Great.
- 28:30SPEAKER_01: Niko hapana Miss Grand International.
- 28:33SPEAKER_01: Mwakel Fumbilna Ishirana Sita, Jihandimar, uh, tumuzungza vituving sana kwanzia, kule, ali kotoka, safariake, livyokua, mpaka anafika hapa.

- 28:49SPEAKER_01: Kunakitu nkwa tamani uhki zungumzi.
- 28:52SPEAKER_01: Watu wana wwanitazama Miss Grand International as a title.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Kwa pandewako wewe, Unawiza kutwe lezea, vizuri zaidi.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: How big it is.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: Wanajue, watu na jiwa tuni muafrika o kwanza na nidi.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 29:06SPEAKER_01: Inamanagani, amo shindu waku na managani kwa wa Tanzania, amona nufaisha nini tanzani.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: I think the the most important thing is putting Tanzania on the map.
- 29:17SPEAKER_00: And I this is the first time in history that Tanzania won an international pageant.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: To me, I still find it very shocking, but I'm very thankful and very honored like we made it, you know.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: So I I feel like through this, we have through this, Tanzania has been put on the map and we have put Tanzania on the map in the field of beauty.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: We're used to seeing countries like South Africa always winning titles and beauty pageants, mainly South Africa, I feel.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: So this is the first time we've put Tanzania on the map in beauty and and fashion.
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: And for me, it's an honor because this has been something I used to talk about since I started.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: Like I want girls to know you can fulfill your dreams, and this is something you can build a career from.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: So it it's it means a lot to me that through this platform I can show many young girls you can build a career in this in this industry.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: So to me it's it's personal because I started from that field and now I can inspire them and tell them it can happen, you know, you can do it.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: But also um it's it's a it's a big honor.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: This is the first time Africa wins, this is the first time Tanzania wins, and Miss Grand International is one of the biggest pageants worldwide.
- 30:35SPEAKER_00: To na Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Grand.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: It's considered one of the top pageants worldwide.
- 30:42SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 30:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: Uh to Zungumzi, Mwakani, to Takuja Kwana, Miss World, Tanzania, Itakua Munyi, or Shindanola, Miss World.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: I do uh the competition.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: I do feel like um, like what I said, it's putting Tanzania on the map for for beauty, for the beauty and fashion industry.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: And I think this is an opportunity, like you said, for all the young girls that are dreaming to make it happen to feel like it's close.
- 31:22SPEAKER_00: You know, like okay, it's happening, okay.
- 31:25SPEAKER_00: Somebody won from Tanzania, okay.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: Miss World is happening in Tanzania, so I feel like it will help them to feel like it's possible.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: Which is, yeah.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:48SPEAKER_00: Uh I remember when I was in Thailand to we find a live talk with uh Emma.
- 31:53SPEAKER_00: Emma was Miss Grand International 2025.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: And I talked about um using this platform specifically for a lot for people who are in fashion and beauty.
- 32:04SPEAKER_00: Like I really, really want to use it this platform to inspire those girls that are in the same industry.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: In fashion, in beauty, in helping them to nurture their skills and to make them understand like you can achieve something big through this industry.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: So I would wish to focus a lot on that during my reign.
- 32:24SPEAKER_00: But Pia, I know um when you become this grand international, you will travel a lot.
- 32:28SPEAKER_00: So I will spend a lot of time traveling in different countries.
- 32:32SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: If you uh fika hap, kuna u shori to fold it, show, namama, nawatu kunye, safariakoya, orembo, I'm a means, uh pageantry in Konyum Lawake.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: It's not the secret.
- 33:01SPEAKER_00: It's not the secret, but something that gave me a lot of hope is when people close to me tell me you can do it.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Because Maraninggi, you know, you look at yourself and you're like, Can I really do this?
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: Like you like it, but you're like, you know.
- 33:16SPEAKER_00: So the fact that people tell me you can do it, you can do it, I think that really gave me hope and encouraged me.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Even people that don't know me, like even when I was in Thailand, I got a lot of comments or a lot of messages from people here in Tanzania like, Jian, you can do it.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Like, Uta Shinda.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: I'm like, me.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: So that whole you can do it really, really helped me throughout my life.
- 33:47SPEAKER_01: And also Tanzania.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, yes.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: And also the grace for people to see something, you know.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: There's a difference like when you feel I can't, but people around you are like, you can.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: So throughout my journey, that really helped me.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: The fact that people spoke positively to me or saw something that I didn't see myself is what helped me to be where I am.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Is what helped me to push me.
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: Asante sana kuku nasisi niliwana Miss Grand International, mmakal kumbilna ishir nasita, Miss Jihan Demark.

- 36:04SPEAKER_00: But after coming down on stage, I started seeing videos.
- 36:07SPEAKER_00: Even when I was seeing the videos, I was like, is this real?
- 36:09SPEAKER_00: But when I see my family, maybe my friends, I'm like, oh, this is actually, you know, true.
