- 0:11SPEAKER_02: Well, we're bringing on who I believe is the best real estate coach in the industry, Neil Mathweg, to share a strategy that he's built for how to get your leads to actually respond.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: You're gonna want to take notes for this one.
- 0:23SPEAKER_02: This is fantastic.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: The massive agent podcast.
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: I love to buy houses, I like to sell houses.
- 0:38SPEAKER_00: Wait a minute.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I've had better.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: Here's your host, Dustin Brohm.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: What is up, everybody?
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Welcome to episode 138 of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 0:55SPEAKER_02: I am your host, Dustin Brohm.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: Welcome to the show.
- 0:59SPEAKER_02: Uh this this episode, unlike the last one, is a little more thought out, and we actually brought in someone who knows what the hell they're talking about.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: Uh so that's good.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: So you got that going for you.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: We actually have an expert today.
- 1:09SPEAKER_02: We have Neil Mathweg, the one and only, the godfather of the SnapPack real estate Facebook group, uh, which if you're if you've been part of the Snap Pack for the last few years, you know what that means.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: But Neil is one of the best coaches in the real estate industry.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: No exaggeration.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: It's a fact proven by science.
- 1:26SPEAKER_02: And I'm not even joking.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: Like he's he's I've seen him in action, I've seen uh I've seen his clients and the success that they have in a very short period of time.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: He's one of the best in the business.
- 1:36SPEAKER_02: And so I wanted to bring him back on the show.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: He's a friend of mine, he's now a business partner of mine, which we'll talk about a little bit uh and what that means.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: But uh he's he's built a system that has uh or it's not even really a system.
- 1:50SPEAKER_02: He's he's figured out how to get more leads to respond.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: And it's a it's a it's fairly simple, but he lays it out perfectly in this podcast.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: So I'm super excited for him to share that.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: Um and it's we're not just talking about lead generation.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: He he has such a wealth of knowledge.
- 2:06SPEAKER_02: He's he's sold over a thousand homes personally.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: He's sold almost a hundred homes uh per year as a solo agent.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: He was a CEO of a brokerage.
- 2:14SPEAKER_02: Now he's back in the real estate game and one of the best coaches in our industry by far.
- 2:19SPEAKER_02: Um, but he's completely changed everything he's doing.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: His what you'll I think what you'll really appreciate about this is Neil is somebody who looked at their almost 20 years of experience in the industry and they're like, what do I actually want to do?
- 2:33SPEAKER_02: And then they reverse engineered that like they Neil built his current situation, his current business model, um, everything he's doing currently based on what he wants his life to look like.
- 2:45SPEAKER_02: And there's some really, really good lessons in here today.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: So it's not just about lead gen.
- 2:49SPEAKER_02: You guys are in for one hell of a treat.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: And stay tuned to the end because you're gonna hear of a way that you can actually get Neil and myself as your coach for free.
- 2:58SPEAKER_02: So pay attention for that one.
- 3:00SPEAKER_02: But if you are new to this show, welcome.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: My name is Dustin Brome, your host.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I am the co-founder of the Industry Syndicate Real Estate Podcast Network.
- 3:08SPEAKER_02: This show is, of course, a proud founding member of the of the industry syndicate.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I'm a national speaker on all things real estate marketing, podcasting, and social media.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: I am a columnist for HousingWire, and uh I'm also an agent in Salt Lake City, have been for about 10 years now, and the founder of the Massive Agent Society lead generation training platform uh where only one agent per market can join.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: So if you want to see if your market is even available to claim exclusively, unlike Zillow's exclusive, where you exclusively own your zip code with like 12 other people.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: That you know, exclusive doesn't mean what they think it means, but it does with us.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: So go to MassiveAgentSociety.com and check out the available markets.
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: And if yours is not already taken, I highly suggest you do because then no one else, no other competitor in your market can get access to our copy and paste database of proven Facebook ads and our coaching and our online course and everything we do within our lead gen training program.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: The whole goal there is to teach you to fish, not give you fish.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: We want to teach you to become a master of your own lead generation so you can control it and you can do whatever the hell you want to do in this business.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Um, which, you know, if you've been listening to the show for a while, you know I'm I'm really on like I have this wild hair lately about choosing what you want to do in this industry.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: You can do so many things.
- 4:31SPEAKER_02: And if all you're doing is, you know, working with one buyer after another and closing a deal, getting a commission check, and starting over, that's all you do, and there's no end in sight, and there's no there's no other ways to scale it, and it's all reliant on you, unless that makes you perfectly happy, which is awesome.
- 4:48SPEAKER_02: That that's that's the goal.
- 4:49SPEAKER_02: But if it doesn't, there's so many other things you can do, and that's why I'm talking about I'm bringing on people that are doing cool shit and that they've done they've used this industry as a stepping stool or they've just done something unique within it, and you know, you can do whatever you want.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: You just have to know what those possibilities are.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: And you I think some people actually need not permission, but uh they need some ideas of what's possible.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: So uh Neil certainly has some ideas of what's possible, I'll tell you that much.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: Uh, great, great episode today.
- 5:22SPEAKER_02: So let's jump into it right now.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Enough yammering from me.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: Let's jump into it with Neil Mathweg, founder of Agent Rise Coaching, host of the Agent Rise podcast, one of my good friends and business partners.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Let's do it.
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: All right, I'm here with Neil Mathweg, the godfather of the SnapPack real estate Facebook group and the founder of Agent Rise, host of the Agent Rise podcast, and one of the best real estate coaches in our industry.
- 5:49SPEAKER_02: I'm not saying that because we're friends, I'm saying that because it's the truth.
- 5:52SPEAKER_02: He's the best in the business, and you'll you'll hear exactly why that is today.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: So, Neil Mathweg, welcome back for the third time to the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 6:01SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much, my friend.
- 6:02SPEAKER_02: I'm happy to be here.
- 6:03SPEAKER_02: This is gonna be great.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 6:05SPEAKER_02: Well, dude, you've since you've been on the show last, you've gone through a hell of a lot of changes personally, um, in your business, and and you're totally different.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: So I think it's it'd be super interesting to kind of get people up to speed on what you have been doing in the industry.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: I mean, because you've sold over a over a thousand homes, you know, you you've been a really high like top producer, then you became a CEO, then now you're doing something totally different.
- 6:31SPEAKER_02: Um, and then we'll get into you know uh what you're doing today on a day-to-day basis, because I think everyone listening is going to resonate with your story, and you just tell it so well and are doing so many things at a very high level.
- 6:44SPEAKER_02: So uh for anyone who who's not familiar with you or they have not listened to the Agent Rise podcast yet, um, who are you?
- 6:50SPEAKER_02: You know, how'd you get started as an agent?
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: And then let's let's go from there.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: So been selling for 19 years now.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm I'm feeling old.
- 6:58SPEAKER_01: I feel like I was still that rookie of the year uh just yesterday, but it's been 19 years.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: I was with Century 21 for 13, and uh had they they put me on stage a few times and had me talk about what I was doing.
- 7:12SPEAKER_01: And you know, at the time I was selling 75 to 100 homes a year, and of course, everybody wanted to hear how I was doing it, and I was doing it all in a different way.
- 7:19SPEAKER_01: I was using social media and uh I was using blogging and and and attracting business instead of chasing it.
- 7:26SPEAKER_01: And once they started putting me on stage, I had that itch to want to be back on stage.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Like it was it was a calling on my heart.
- 7:34SPEAKER_01: And so in 2015, I moved over to Realty Executives and led that company.
- 7:39SPEAKER_01: We tripled the size of the company and and and primarily, I mean, the culture was amazing there, but primarily it grew because we were offering coaching.
- 7:48SPEAKER_01: And I uh built a coaching business that gave agents clarity and gave them a plan that that was felt right, and which then kind of made them feel like they had a purpose and they knew the direction they were going.
- 8:02SPEAKER_01: And then we just taught consistency, like consistency is everything in growing your business.
- 8:07SPEAKER_01: So we did all of that, and uh and and then I I uh of course started the podcast, Onion Juice Podcast back in 2015, which you're the Bill Murray of.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: Um couldn't I couldn't have enough episodes with Dustin Broom on.
- 8:21SPEAKER_01: Um that's why you had to change the name eventually.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: You're like, we got to get away from this reputation we've built with this Dustin guy.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: Let's be honest, yeah.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: Whole new brand, everything.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: Let's let's pick this up abandoned ship quickly.
- 8:33SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: That's it.
- 8:35SPEAKER_01: So yeah, so and then uh we we changed that to Agent Rise podcast and uh almost hitting the five-year mark.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: I'm five years, five episodes away from running that show for five years now, one episode every week consistently for five years.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: So it's just congratulations.
- 8:52SPEAKER_01: That's that's no small feat.
- 8:54SPEAKER_01: That's uh that's crazy.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's it's fun, it's been a blast doing it.
- 8:59SPEAKER_01: And uh so then we morphed into Agent Rise coaching.
- 9:03SPEAKER_01: And in 2018, I stepped down from the CEO role to launch Agent Rise.
- 9:09SPEAKER_01: Uh and then just recently I uh decided to go full-time with Agent Rise, and um I also moved over to EXP and joined you there and are building out an awesome EXP team along with everything that we're doing at Agent Rise.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: So there's like the real quick version of the last 19 years for me.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's 19 years, man.
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: I I haven't I haven't yet hit the 10-year mark, but um, you know, it feels like a lifetime for sure, and so much has changed.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: And you know, you're you've about doubled that that uh time that I've been in the industry.
- 9:45SPEAKER_02: Um so I can only imagine how things have changed since you first started, like social media and I mean just the MLSs and everything being digital and uh crazy.
- 9:56SPEAKER_02: Um so when we first met, we so we met on Snapchat, and at that time you were the CEO of Realty Executives in Madison, right?
- 10:08SPEAKER_02: Right, yes.
- 10:09SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 10:10SPEAKER_02: And and so it's just when did you so when you stepped down from being the CEO of the brokerage and you went full-time as a coach, you also recently decided, you know what, I'm getting back into the trenches to sell homes again.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: When was that?
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: And and how did you get to that decision?
- 10:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I I felt like in the three years that I was a CEO, I was losing touch with what was working, right?
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: And I I wanted to get I had an I had an idea for a brand called I Love Madison, and I wanted to launch that in 2015.
- 10:46SPEAKER_01: And I at times I was thinking about launching it underneath the Realty Executives brand for the brokerage firm, but it was just too much work and I was too busy and and I never did it.
- 10:54SPEAKER_01: So in 18, I had that idea, like I got to get this thing going.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Um, and and so I had that idea, plus, truthfully, I I needed some more income.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: Um, stepping down from having a a salary position, uh you know, corner office with a salary position to going back into uh launching Agent Rise and everything.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'm gonna need some more income.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna need to pick up the sales again.
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: And then plus, me getting back into sales gave birth to a program that we have inside Agent Rise called Matchmaking.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: And it was a magical moment that I had when I was converting online leads, uh actually Facebook leads, and I couldn't get people to call me back.
- 11:39SPEAKER_01: And I realized that if I called them with what they wanted, they would call me back.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: So in that period, that's when I came up with that, which has been a big part of agent rise.
- 11:50SPEAKER_01: So I was right in my thinking that I've got to get back into sales to stay fresh, to stay, to stay current, to stay active, right?
- 11:58SPEAKER_01: And then that's gonna help me be a better coach in the long run.
- 12:03SPEAKER_01: Um, and so you know, because for three years I didn't sell a house.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: I referred everybody to to you know other agents in the company, and I I never I didn't sell a house.
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: So it was really good to get back into the trenches.
- 12:15SPEAKER_01: I've learned a lot, and and uh, you know, I'm still currently in the trenches, but phasing back out again because Agent Rise has taken off and my EXP team is taking off.
- 12:25SPEAKER_01: So um yeah.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're having a blast.
- 12:28SPEAKER_02: There's so much cool stuff going on, and and that's why I really wanted you to tell your story because it's been this progression.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: You know, you you were killing it as a solo agent, and then you're like, damn, I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the CEO of a brokerage, I'm gonna have a salary, you know, uh takes a lot of the pressure off, I would think.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: Um, and then you know, you got back into it.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: And and I I love that by getting back into the trenches as an agent recently, uh, and what some people may look at as a step backwards, you know, going from a CEO to back to being a realtor.
- 13:02SPEAKER_02: Well, now, like you said, you you discovered this whole new uh this whole new part of your program that you teach agents that's so valuable.
- 13:11SPEAKER_02: You wouldn't have done that if you were just like speaking theory, like, you know, this is why it's so important to have a coach that actually does what what they say to do.
- 13:19SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, there's a lot of coaches out there, not all of them are actually practitioners of what they talk about.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: Uh so let's talk about that matchmaking thing for a second.
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: What is that?
- 13:30SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, how freaking fruit flies again.
- 13:33SPEAKER_02: I I was telling Neil before before we started recording that my wife is is accumulating house plants at a at a at a ridiculous pace, and it's really like it's breathtaking speed, and the fruit flies are are trying to keep up.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: They are apparently.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: So, anyways, there's the it's not a squirrel moment of the day, it's the fruit fly moment.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: So until winter, we might have more of those.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: Anyways, uh, matchmaking.
- 13:57SPEAKER_02: How did you come up with it?
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: What is it?
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: What do agents need to know?
- 14:00SPEAKER_01: So I had I had a uh awesome conversation with a lead, and and she told me everything that she was looking for.
- 14:06SPEAKER_01: And we had had, you know, we were on the phone for like 10 minutes.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: It was a great conversation, and it ended abruptly because she had to go to an appointment.
- 14:13SPEAKER_01: So she's like, I'm sorry, I gotta go.
- 14:15SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, no problem.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: I'll I'll she's like, I'll call you back later today.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: Well, never heard from her.
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: So then the following day, I re I called her back and left her a message and just say, Hey, I just wanted to check in and you know see what else I can do to help you.
- 14:27SPEAKER_01: You know, give me a call back and let me know um, you know, more about what you're looking for, and I'll get working for you.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: Never heard from her, never heard from her.
- 14:33SPEAKER_01: Um, I think I left two or three messages, never heard.
- 14:36SPEAKER_01: Which is weird because this never happens with with online reads.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: This is so weird, right?
- 14:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: And so I um I'm thinking, okay, I know what she's looking for.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: She told me her search criteria, she told me that she wanted a four-bedroom house up to 400,000 in some prairie.
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I knew what she was looking for, so I just hopped on the MLS, and I actually we have the coming soons in our market, and I found one that wasn't even available on the MLS yet.
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: It was a brand new listing.
- 15:03SPEAKER_01: The showings were going to begin later that week.
- 15:06SPEAKER_01: And so I'm like, I'm just gonna call her and tell her about this listing.
- 15:09SPEAKER_01: So I just said, hey, this is Neil, you know, we we met the other day and I haven't heard back from you.
- 15:14SPEAKER_01: But I was going through the MLS and I found this listing and I thought of you.
- 15:17SPEAKER_01: Uh, give me a call back when you get a chance.
- 15:19SPEAKER_01: It's it's a it's brand new, it's not even available on the MLS yet.
- 15:22SPEAKER_01: Uh, call me back when you can and I'll tell you more about it.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: And no kidding, 15 minutes later, my phone rings and it's her.
- 15:29SPEAKER_01: And she's like, I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you, but tell me more about that house, right?
- 15:33SPEAKER_01: And I ended up selling her to that house, and I ended up uh, I mean, everything came together.
- 15:37SPEAKER_01: It was it was beautiful.
- 15:38SPEAKER_01: And I walked out of my office that day and I go to my team and I'm like, guys, this is it.
- 15:43SPEAKER_01: It's matchmaking.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: And we started singing matchmaker, matchmaker, making matchmaker, made it all cheesy, you know.
- 15:49SPEAKER_01: But I'm like, this is what it is.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: I said we've got to get consumer search criteria and then call them back with what they want, because most of the time we're calling them back to check in, to stay in the loop, and they don't want us to check in, they don't want us to stay in the loop.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: They're talking to seven other agents, they don't they don't care if we're checking in with them.
- 16:09SPEAKER_01: And so what calling them back with what they want, they do.
- 16:13SPEAKER_01: So now what we do is we aim if you're doing open houses, if you're doing Facebook advertising, if you're doing your sphere of influence, whatever it is, get the consumer search criteria, put it in a spreadsheet so that you can see all of the criteria in one.
- 16:26SPEAKER_01: And then when you find a new listing that's a hot new listing or a hot new coming soon, you then bring that back to the spreadsheet, and then you call the consumer and say, Hey, I saw this house and I thought of you.
- 16:37SPEAKER_01: And what it does is not only gets you more showings and gets you more appointments, but it also uh it really compels them to work with you.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: They don't, you don't have to convince them anymore.
- 16:47SPEAKER_01: They see that you're working for them.
- 16:49SPEAKER_01: Also, you don't have to have permission to give somebody give something to somebody, right?
- 16:53SPEAKER_01: So, like at an open house, you get their contact information and their search criteria.
- 16:58SPEAKER_01: Now you can give them what they want.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: Where most agents are going to open houses and waiting to become best friends with that that person.
- 17:05SPEAKER_01: Like, did we just become best friends?
- 17:07SPEAKER_01: Then we're gonna start to work together.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: You don't have to do that now.
- 17:10SPEAKER_01: Like just get their criteria, get their contact information, and then give them what they want.
- 17:15SPEAKER_02: Man, when you shared this on our exp team call the other day with the group, I was I was like, yes, like it exactly right.
- 17:22SPEAKER_02: Like, I I haven't always done that, but when I like I never did it as a matter of habit, as like this is part of my system for lead follow-up.
- 17:31SPEAKER_02: And in hindsight, it's so stupid, so stupid not to.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: It's so obvious, but so you know, so many of us just get caught up in putting people on a drip campaign that's like, hey, just checking in, you know.
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: Uh are you available to see houses this weekend?
- 17:44SPEAKER_02: Like it, but you've never really offered them anything.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: And and you just come right out and you're like, hey, I found a house, it meets what you're looking for, it's not on the MLS yet.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: Want to hear about it?
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: And your phone rings.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: Um beautiful system.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: And you have more about that um in your your agent rice coaching program?
- 18:02SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's just a sprinkle of what we talk about.
- 18:04SPEAKER_01: I mean, we we're always about building a clear plan that's congruent to you and then helping you stay consistent.
- 18:09SPEAKER_01: So we have 10 steps to build out the plan, and then we fit everything into a three-pillar plan.
- 18:15SPEAKER_01: So we do our sphere of influence, our chase, and our attraction.
- 18:20SPEAKER_01: And the the matchmaking goes with primarily the chase pillar.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: So we're generating leads, it's the lead conversion system.
- 18:29SPEAKER_01: Um, and it's it's generating leads.
- 18:31SPEAKER_01: And the other thing, too, is a lot of agents are like, well, isn't that more work?
- 18:36SPEAKER_01: Yes, yes, it is.
- 18:38SPEAKER_01: There's an easier way to do it.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: That is setting them up for an email drip campaign.
- 18:42SPEAKER_01: But I'm telling you, putting in that extra bit of effort is the results that come from it are just mind-blowing.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and the referrals build up on it too, because you've compelled the person and and you've helped them.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: And in some cases, you become the hero, right?
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: Like you become the guy that found the house that they didn't know about, and now they're referring you to their friends.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: So it is more work, but it is really good quality work.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: It is more work, but it works.
- 19:11SPEAKER_03: Yes, you know, it is yes, yeah.
- 19:14SPEAKER_02: I can see how they will refer you a lot more because as you mentioned, they're talking with seven other agents.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: I mean, they've clicked on six other Facebook ads, they've gotten into you know other agent funnels through Zillow or through wherever the hell.
- 19:27SPEAKER_02: And and so you're probably not the only one they're speaking with, but are you the one who's gonna bring them value and gets their attention and actually like helps them?
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: Um and and so yeah, if you you're gonna stand out because most other agents are just, hey, just checking in.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: Um, anything I can do to help today?
- 19:46SPEAKER_02: Like, haven't spoken to you in a while.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: You haven't called me back.
- 19:50SPEAKER_02: Is it is it me?
- 19:51SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, what did I do?
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: And uh and you just break right through the you break right through the bullshit and and deliver what they're looking for.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: But first you have to know what they're looking for.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Uh so how do you do that?
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: Like, how do you start the process?
- 20:05SPEAKER_02: I know you mentioned open houses, but if they're online leads, how can you know what they're looking for?
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, each different uh process, open houses, online leads, uh, Facebook ads, they all have different processes.
- 20:19SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: So at an open house, we ask we give them a clipboard when they walk in.
- 20:24SPEAKER_01: At the bottom of the clipboard, it has them to register their name for security purposes.
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: So we get their name and contact information.
- 20:32SPEAKER_01: Because we need two things.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: We need their contact information and we need their criteria.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: And then when they bring the clipboard back, we ask them one question.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: And that one question is is what did you like most about the house and what did you like least about the house?
- 20:43SPEAKER_01: And when they answer that question, their criteria comes out.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: For Facebook ads, what we do is we use um what if we're running an ad for a list of homes in a certain area under a certain price, we're beginning to get their criteria right from that, right?
- 21:01SPEAKER_01: But then um we also ask them if they would like a list of houses that are not yet available on the MLS.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: And if you don't have coming soons in your market, don't worry, you can still sell for sale by owners, old expireds, neighbors houses that you know that are coming up available.
- 21:17SPEAKER_01: They're not yet available, but they're coming, right?
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: So these are houses that are not yet available on the MLS.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: And then on the thank you screen of the lead form, we explain that we cannot give that list out in an unmanned way because they're not listings yet.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: We can't put them on a website, we can't market them.
- 21:34SPEAKER_01: We don't have a listing contract, nor are they on the MLS for us to advertise them, right?
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: So then in order for us to give them that list, we need to call them.
- 21:43SPEAKER_01: And and that says it says that on the thank you screen so that they know we're calling them.
- 21:49SPEAKER_01: And then when I call them, I say, Hey, this is Neil.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: I you clicked on one of our ads, and I wanted to find out more about what you're looking for so that I can get you the house, get you the list of houses that are not yet available.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: The MLS.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Um, so give me a call back when you get a chance so I can learn a little bit more about what you're looking for, so I can get you that list today.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: And so yep, so now we're giving them what they want, and and we'll just repeat that message five you know 15 times until they call us back because they wanted the list, right?
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: So we got to get them their list, and so we're calling them back to get them this list.
- 22:21SPEAKER_01: And then when they do call us back, then we get their criteria and then we start matchmaking with them.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: And you can do the same process for online leads as well.
- 22:29SPEAKER_02: I mean, I would think if it's uh just a Facebook lead form that, you know, uh you put it, like you said, on the uh on the thank you page.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: Do you kind of do like a not not a warning, but just like a uh like a attention, you know, like because this this list is so uh is so special, really, because they're they're not actually on the MLS yet, they're not online.
- 22:50SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, we have to go through a super secret process, like a VIP process is kind of how it comes across, right?
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: Like sure, like we we need you to jump through a couple hoops, but um, that's just what's required to get this list because they're not published online.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: Genius, sir.
- 23:06SPEAKER_01: And we just we just mark in there that the MLS rules.
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: So sell center, I'm in South Central, Wisconsin.
- 23:11SPEAKER_01: So we say that South Central Wisconsin MLS does not allow us to give these out in an unmanned way.
- 23:17SPEAKER_01: And every MLS doesn't allow you to give out those in an unmanned way because you're not the listing agent, you don't have the right to market that property.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: Correct, right?
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: But I can call and tell somebody about a FIS boat, I can call and tell somebody about a uh an old expired that I know wants to sell but just hasn't relisted, right?
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Uh I I could tell them about the neighbor's house that when I was at an open house, the neighbor came over and said, We're thinking about selling in the next six months.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: And I get their permission to tell people about their address, right?
- 23:50SPEAKER_01: I I I'm not marketing the home.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: I'm just telling people that, hey, I think these people are going to be selling.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: And so what this is doing is just a you know, these are a list of houses that I know that are not yet available on the MLS.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: Beautiful.
- 24:05SPEAKER_02: And so there's also a way to find out their criteria if they're an online lead, depending on the the platforms and systems you use, correct?
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: Like uh based on listings they look at on your website, if they've registered.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: Um, I know that Easy Agent Pro, which I use and you've used, um, you know, their IDX has the ability to kind of show you what they've been looking at.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: Um, you and I both also use KV Core and the agents that partner with us on our team, they use KV Core, which is amazing at uh it has like this smart component to it where if they start looking at four-bedroom homes between four and five hundred K in a certain area, it learns.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: And then it's just gonna start sending them listing updates based on their searches.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: Not like this generalized bullshit, but like every time they look at a new listing, it refines uh even more.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: And you can go in as the agent and see that and set them up on those alerts and even pull one of them out or a few of them out and do this matchmaking process that you're speaking of, right?
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: And you can even you can even call them on houses that are they already know about, right?
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: Like so set up and CC yourself on auto emails that are going to them, or go into the dashboard and look at what was sent to them recently and call them and say, Hey, I just wanted to make sure you saw this one.
- 25:29SPEAKER_01: Like that's matchmaking as well.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: It doesn't have to be about houses that are not yet available on the MLS, but that's the big draw when inventory is so low.
- 25:37SPEAKER_01: But right now you could just call them and say, Hey, I just want to make sure you saw this one.
- 25:42SPEAKER_01: And that in itself is going the extra mile because 99% of agents are not doing that, right?
- 25:48SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: Maybe 99.5%.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Right, right.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 25:52SPEAKER_02: So when you let's kind of jump back a little bit.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: When you decided, hey, I'm gonna step down as the CEO of this brokerage, I'm going to start selling homes again.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna uh you know, jump back in the trenches.
- 26:04SPEAKER_02: What was the biggest learning curve for you?
- 26:05SPEAKER_02: I mean, what was the hardest thing?
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: And uh, I'll start with that rather than making it a two-party.
- 26:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I think for me it was uh just well, one thing that made it super easy to jump back in was transaction coordinating was now something that I could subcontract.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: So I've done over a thousand transactions completely on my own.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: I mean, one year I sold 93 homes without an admin and without a teammate.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, I did the entire everything.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it was stupid.
- 26:35SPEAKER_01: Don't ever do that.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: Um, and so uh having a transaction coordinator made it so much easier.
- 26:43SPEAKER_01: And now I'm a huge fan of transaction coordinators.
- 26:46SPEAKER_01: Like if you if you don't have one, you need to get one.
- 26:49SPEAKER_01: And and so that was that made it really easy for me to jump back in.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: Uh it, you know, offers had changed, uh, you know, Trid, all these other things that I had to pay.
- 27:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I didn't have to pay attention to when it was happening.
- 27:02SPEAKER_01: Um, you know, I had to I had to learn all that and and and jump back in.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: But um, you know, for the most part, it was like riding a bike, you know, just just getting back in the in the grind.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: You know, what was an awesome lesson for me was, you know, I I went from you know selling almost 100 homes a year, and I really thought it was gonna be like flipping a switch.
- 27:22SPEAKER_01: Like I'm gonna get back in and I'm gonna flip the switch and I'm just gonna be busy again.
- 27:26SPEAKER_01: It started off pretty good for me.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: I got a really awesome listing the first month that I was back in business and and and it was it was good, but then I hit kind of a dry spell, and it made me realize the importance of consistency because I went three months without or three years without mailing to my sphere of influence.
- 27:46SPEAKER_01: Um, I it it it also made me realize the grind of how much it takes to get that ball rolling again, and it made me a better coach for new and for stuck agents uh because I I was living in it, you know, and um it was it was a grind.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: And that was I think the hardest part was realizing that I I thought, geez, this is no problem.
- 28:11SPEAKER_01: I've been selling houses forever, I'm just gonna announce that I'm back in business, people are gonna start flocking again, and no problem.
- 28:17SPEAKER_01: I'll be selling five houses a month in in no time.
- 28:20SPEAKER_01: But I mean, it it did not happen that way, and and I had to rebuild also I realized how much of uh I love Madison was a distraction and how it did not produce the results that I expected it to produce.
- 28:38SPEAKER_01: And we did everything with excellence, got amazing video views, um, but it just did not drive sales.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: So I've learned so much more about what actually drives sales and um doing social media on purpose and setting things up the right way.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: Um, it's not just about more noise.
- 28:58SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry, Gary V is wrong in a lot of senses about being a digital mayor.
- 29:03SPEAKER_01: It just does not produce what most think that it would.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: Um, so that was eye-opening for me as well to get back in business.
- 29:11SPEAKER_02: Interesting.
- 29:12SPEAKER_02: I mean, we could do a whole other conversation about that because I um it it it's weird, man.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: Like there's so many variables to it, right?
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: It's it's not the problem with becoming a media company and doing local-based content to generate real estate leads, it works, but you know, there's there's a million variables to whether or not it does, a million variables.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: And you know, sometimes it like I don't know.
- 29:38SPEAKER_02: We could do a whole other conversation on that.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Maybe we should.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: Um, because that's interesting to me.
- 29:43SPEAKER_01: Just to even talk about this real quick, like like, you know, we did we did the I Love Madison food tournament, right?
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: Who has Madison's best cheeseburgers?
- 29:51SPEAKER_01: I mean, 10 to 15 to 20,000, I mean, just crazy amount of views across Facebook.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I walk into a restaurant and I'm a local celebrity now.
- 29:58SPEAKER_01: Like it, it's it's crazy what that has done for exposure.
- 30:02SPEAKER_01: I sold one house from that, okay?
- 30:05SPEAKER_01: One house and in all that exposure.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: I rank really, really high on YouTube right now for who has Madison's best cheeseburger.
- 30:13SPEAKER_01: Like, I have the top video, I don't sell cheeseburgers.
- 30:16SPEAKER_01: Why am I ranking there?
- 30:18SPEAKER_01: Right, um, you know, and and and the videos did so well video view-wise, but very, very few people know the real estate agent.
- 30:27SPEAKER_01: And I needed the meetups to help me bring that around, and that helped as well.
- 30:32SPEAKER_01: But I'm telling you, I would rather have my videos ranked for moving to Madison or living in Madison, or you know, I just I missed the mark.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: I got the exposure, I got the video views, I got the fame, but I missed the mark on selling real estate.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: And so huge learning lesson.
- 30:49SPEAKER_01: And and now I can teach that and tell you what to do and what not to do.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: Well, it's a it's an important reminder because it's not like doing the videos is not the goal, you know, creating the content's not the goal.
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: The goal is to sell homes.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: Or, I mean, depending on how heavily you want to go into the media company side of things with with media company monetization, uh, the goal is revenue.
- 31:14SPEAKER_02: Like we're in business.
- 31:15SPEAKER_02: Every single one of us is in business.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: We're here to make money and we're here to uh to scale that ability and and create systems and processes that that help it come in faster and maybe and easier.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Uh that's the goal.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: It's not it's not the video.
- 31:31SPEAKER_02: So great reminder on that.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Um speaking of which, your okay, so your goal here with with all these changes you've made uh in your life and in your career, and and you know, they've all been to to further your career and to you know increase income for your family, right?
- 31:49SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, you're you are legitimately one of the the best real estate coaches on the planet.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: I've seen you in action, and I I really do believe that.
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: And you guys who are looking for a coach, definitely, definitely the first place you should look is agent rise coaching with Neil.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Um, and I think you'd be surprised it's Neil, you're you're totally under underpricing it um compared to some of these other jokers that are you know 1500 bucks a month and you don't even talk to them, you know, you talk to one of their people um for like an hour a week.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: Ridiculous.
- 32:20SPEAKER_02: Um, anyhow, uh so you've got coaching.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Um, you decided to um leave your brokerage and and move over to EXP a little while ago.
- 32:30SPEAKER_02: Um, what else is going on in your life, though, that anyone who doesn't know you wouldn't know?
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: What else are you doing behind the scenes that's sucking so much of your time um in preparation for?
- 32:41SPEAKER_01: So I have a dream to travel the country and meet with as many agents as I can possibly meet and document what others are doing that's completely different.
- 32:51SPEAKER_01: And it's been a passion of mine for five years.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: That's why I started the Onion Juice podcast.
- 32:55SPEAKER_01: It was always about doing things different.
- 32:57SPEAKER_01: Uh, I find that agents um uh across the country are have so much to share and are so willing to share.
- 33:06SPEAKER_01: And and then I feel that Agent Rise brings clarity to things because uh for a long time I feel like everything that we would share would just be shiny objects.
- 33:16SPEAKER_01: And now I feel like everything that we learn how other agent agents are doing it, we can fit it into a plan so that it makes sense for agents.
- 33:25SPEAKER_01: And so uh with this, I've uh are in the we are in the midst of selling our house, selling our rental properties.
- 33:32SPEAKER_01: We've already sold both of our cars and are um buying an RV, and we already bought the RV, the the truck and the fifth-wheel trailer, and I'm putting a mobile podcasting studio and and video recording studio in the back of the RV, and we are hitting the road for one to three years or for a lifetime, who knows?
- 33:55SPEAKER_02: Full-time RVing, just live wherever the hell you want.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 33:59SPEAKER_02: That's so cool, man.
- 34:00SPEAKER_02: That's so cool.
- 34:01SPEAKER_02: Uh so here's okay, here's what I really want you want to hear from you.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Like, you you guys decided, you and your family decided that's the dream.
- 34:10SPEAKER_02: Let's let's sell all of our shit, let's get an RV, and let's just go live and travel and you know, like show the kids this amazing world and this amazing country we live in that's so diverse.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: With like I I think I've traveled quite a bit, and I haven't even seen a fraction of this amazing country.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: So you guys are now gonna do that.
- 34:29SPEAKER_02: Uh, like that will be your life.
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: So you started with that, and then you made decisions based on you know what facilitates that.
- 34:38SPEAKER_02: So, how did you arrive at coaching and moving brokerages?
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: Why was a brokerage uh switch even required?
- 34:45SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, how did just talk more about that decision and how it's it's gonna help you reach that goal and that dream?
- 34:53SPEAKER_01: So um I heard a teaching pastor say once that a door won't open if you stand, if you're at the grocery store and you're standing in the parking lot and you say door open, it's not gonna open unless you walk into it, right?
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: And and so it was early March before COVID.
- 35:10SPEAKER_01: Um, I had a uh opportunity in Louisville, Kentucky for a speaking engagement.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: And my wife said, let's go on a road trip.
- 35:17SPEAKER_01: Because I said, wouldn't it be great if we had the RV and we could all go?
- 35:21SPEAKER_01: And she's like, why don't we just go with what we have?
- 35:24SPEAKER_01: And so we all piled into the minivan and we uh went to Kentucky, and then I Jenny's like, I think we should go to Florida.
- 35:32SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm just hearing we should go to Florida, and I'm like, Jenny, this is the spring market.
- 35:37SPEAKER_01: I can't leave the spring market.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: Um, I you know, like there was just so many reasons for us not to go.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: But prior to that, us leaving, um, we had decided to dissolve the I Love Madison team.
- 35:51SPEAKER_01: And because I was gonna go full-time coaching, and it really didn't feel like it was gonna work without me.
- 35:58SPEAKER_01: So I said, no problem, everybody, we're all still friends, everybody's just gonna kind of go do their own thing.
- 36:03SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna go focus on Agent Rise.
- 36:05SPEAKER_01: We're gonna hit the road and go on this road trip.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: And I really feel like every time we stepped into the door, it opened.
- 36:13SPEAKER_01: And we we this this whole road trip was just on a shoestring budget.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: We didn't have it.
- 36:19SPEAKER_01: We didn't, I mean, I'm trying to launch, I'm trying to go full time with Agent Rise.
- 36:23SPEAKER_01: I drained our savings account.
- 36:24SPEAKER_01: We went on this road trip, one door opened after another.
- 36:28SPEAKER_01: Um, it was extremely fruitful for our our family on this road trip.
- 36:32SPEAKER_01: I picked up many clients, uh uh just uh awesome opportunities, gave four different talks in four different cities.
- 36:39SPEAKER_01: We traveled, it was amazing.
- 36:41SPEAKER_01: It was amazing, and I just heard like this is just the beginning.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: This is just what is waiting for you when you hit the road.
- 36:50SPEAKER_01: And and I, when we were in in Jupiter, Florida, it was when my eyes began to open to exp.
- 36:58SPEAKER_01: And it was I had when I left, I had told um my uh my my previous partner, um, who I was the CEO of Realty Executives, Dan Spranzi.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: Um, I had told him right before I was leaving that I'm gonna step down and no longer sell real estate.
- 37:15SPEAKER_01: I'm going full time with Agent Rise.
- 37:17SPEAKER_01: And he's like, great, that's awesome.
- 37:19SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I'll still coach at the company until the day I leave, you know, like, but just want you to know this is where I'm heading.
- 37:24SPEAKER_01: It's awesome.
- 37:25SPEAKER_01: So then I was literally gonna park my license at the state.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: It was kind of what I was thinking I was gonna do and just be re become a referral agent.
- 37:32SPEAKER_01: And I I I realized on that road trip the possibility of partnering with like-minded people across the country, and and then I realized that I could coach them with them being on my exp team.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: I wouldn't have to uh charge them a monthly fee for agent rise.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: Um, I would I would earn my revenue from the revenue share from the beautiful model that exp has.
- 37:59SPEAKER_01: And then I realized that the agents that were on my team could also bring and build their exp team by bringing them on, and they also could have agent rise.
- 38:10SPEAKER_01: And then you and I started talking and realized that everybody that comes on my team could also have massive agent, and then mine was blown from that point, and just realizing that every relationship that we've worked so hard on and have established throughout the years of all the podcasts that we've done, all of the meetups that we've done, all of those become partnerships now.
- 38:34SPEAKER_01: Um, and that was that that just that I yeah, I was beyond excited from that point.
- 38:41SPEAKER_02: We all kind of arrive at uh or we have these pivotal moments where we get clarity or we get some new perspective, or we look at things in a different way that we didn't before.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: And there's many reasons why we look at things different today than we did a year ago.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: Um, but sometimes things just happen at the right time, um, you know, for the right reasons.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: It's uh it's really interesting.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: But what I'm most grateful for and excited about with what you and I are doing partnering together is now rather than just having an agent who needs a coach, uh, rather than like paying uh you know out of pocket, uh, that's great for us as uh well, let's be honest.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: There's nothing wrong with that model.
- 39:23SPEAKER_02: Like it when when you pay, you pay attention.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: So like if you get something for free, um you know, it's not uh well, when you pay, you pay attention.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: There's there's nothing wrong with with paying to have a coach and that that coach teaches you.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: But what if the coach financially wins?
- 39:43SPEAKER_02: Well, the coach is uh uh the coach is what's the frickin' word I'm looking for?
- 39:48SPEAKER_02: Um the coach is paid when you when you win, when you actually have the results, when you actually sell the homes, when you actually grow your business, that's when the coach gets paid.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: Like that's something that's like a next level thing that didn't really exist until recently.
- 40:03SPEAKER_02: And and that's what we've built.
- 40:05SPEAKER_02: Like it's so cool.
- 40:06SPEAKER_02: Now we can have Susie in Wichita, who is like, you know what?
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: Um, I want these, I want these guys as partners, I want their programs for free.
- 40:17SPEAKER_02: And then they're now the only way that they're gonna get paid is to help me to sell a bunch of homes.
- 40:23SPEAKER_02: Like that financial alignment is so powerful, and I'm so excited for that because it's a win-win-win-win-win for everybody involved.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: And so, so like you mentioned, um, to summarize, uh, or just to highlight yet again, anyone who's who's wanting to partner with us, they get your coaching program for free.
- 40:43SPEAKER_02: They get my massive agent society for free.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: And those are very different programs, they're very complementary.
- 40:48SPEAKER_02: Mine is marketing and lead generation, specifically Facebook ads.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: Yours is more overall, how to be a great agent, especially for new agents or stuck agents, you know, how to get started on the right foot.
- 41:00SPEAKER_02: And I feel like you're a much better coach for a new agent than I am because I'm I'm more the um like you really start them from square one.
- 41:10SPEAKER_02: Like, here's what you need to know, and marketing's part of that.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: Lee gen is part of it, but it's not all of it.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: And so that's why I feel like you're much better for the new agent uh than I am.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: And I've seen your program, it's just it's freaking awesome.
- 41:23SPEAKER_02: So it, dude, I'm just excited that you and I were able to have that conversation, and it all happened so serendipitously.
- 41:30SPEAKER_02: Like you mentioned, you went to Florida and then we started talking, and you're like, wait, wait, this brokerage lets me do what?
- 41:37SPEAKER_02: And you don't have to be in a certain city, you know.
- 41:41SPEAKER_02: Um, now you can just travel and and meet up with your agent partners and and help them to grow their business.
- 41:47SPEAKER_02: And you know, it's uh it's it's cool.
- 41:50SPEAKER_02: What do you have planned?
- 41:52SPEAKER_02: Like, what are some of your first stops?
- 41:54SPEAKER_02: And uh, you know, for when you leave Madison in the RV, um, what does that look like?
- 41:59SPEAKER_02: What do you have planned?
- 42:00SPEAKER_01: So we're we've got the campground, the site that we're at right now, we're here until October 15th.
- 42:05SPEAKER_01: And then that's hopefully by the time October 15th rolls around, we'll have everything sold.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: And then we uh need to leave by October 15th because pipes begin to freeze here in Wisconsin.
- 42:15SPEAKER_01: And then we're heading to Florida, and we want to spend December and January in Florida, and that hopefully that'll probably take us a month to get there because we'll we'll slowly go.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: Uh, and then I'm a huge brewer fan, so I want to hopefully we'll have spring training in in Arizona, and I want to get to spring training in Arizona, and then we're gonna head up the west coast um next late spring and early summer, and then um and then head back west.
- 42:44SPEAKER_01: But our goal is to hit all 50 states, hit all national parks, and I would love to see every baseball diamond as well or ballpark.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: So that's so cool, man.
- 42:53SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, if you guys listened to last week's episode, uh, when I in the intro when I was talking about what an amazing industry we're in, because you can do whatever the hell you want.
- 43:04SPEAKER_02: And it's so it sucks to see agents that they've either put themselves in a box or they've let their broker or their team leader or somebody else put them into a box where they're literally just going into the office, uh, especially if they're told you have to be in the office three hours a day and you have to make phone calls a certain amount of time per day, and where you're really an employee and you have a job, that's fine if that's what you want.
- 43:30SPEAKER_02: There's nothing wrong with that if you need that.
- 43:33SPEAKER_02: But I got into this industry for freedom.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: I got into this industry so I could do whatever the hell I want whenever I want.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: If I want to go pick my kid up from school, I can.
- 43:42SPEAKER_02: If I want to go to lunch, if I want to go, you know, to San Diego for a week, whatever the hell, I can do it.
- 43:47SPEAKER_02: So it it it just so many agents have been put into a box by themselves or by somebody else.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: And if they don't if if they ever stop selling homes, their income stops.
- 43:59SPEAKER_02: Like They're literally on this hamster wheel.
- 44:02SPEAKER_02: And as soon as you sell a home, you're unemployed and you have to go get employed again by somebody else.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: And it's just this never-ending grind.
- 44:11SPEAKER_02: There's so much more that our industry provides.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: And I'm really trying to focus uh on bringing people on like you.
- 44:18SPEAKER_02: And in the f I have a few people coming on the show that are that have become big time entrepreneurs that started in real estate, started as agents, and now are huge, well-known entrepreneurs of multi-million dollar, sometimes hundred million dollar companies that started as real estate agents.
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: You can do whatever the hell you want in this industry.
- 44:38SPEAKER_02: And Neil, what I love about what you're doing right now is you you started with what you want to do and then figured out how to make it happen based on what's available in our industry.
- 44:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 44:48SPEAKER_02: Rather than the other way around.
- 44:50SPEAKER_02: And, you know, up until I up until recently, well, up until a few years ago, I thought the the way that it works in in this industry is you become an agent, you sell a bunch of homes, you become a broker, you start your own brokerage.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: That's what success looks like.
- 45:08SPEAKER_02: And then I realized then once teams started to become a thing, and Keller Williams really popularized the team model.
- 45:14SPEAKER_02: I'm like, like, well, that's that's interesting.
- 45:17SPEAKER_02: Like, so I don't actually have to have a brokerage.
- 45:19SPEAKER_02: I could just have a team run it like my own brokerage within some other brokerage.
- 45:24SPEAKER_02: That's interesting, that's cool.
- 45:26SPEAKER_02: And then I progressed recently to wait, I don't even want to manage people, I want to partner with them so that I'm not their boss, I'm their partner.
- 45:34SPEAKER_02: I'll support them and guide them and train them and and all that.
- 45:36SPEAKER_02: But if they're not going to do the work, sucks for them.
- 45:39SPEAKER_02: But I don't have to like push them to do anything, you know.
- 45:42SPEAKER_02: Uh, and I realized that's now possible with what you and I have built with the XP that uh, you know, so you don't need a team.
- 45:49SPEAKER_02: You don't have to manage a team if you don't want to.
- 45:51SPEAKER_02: But it starts with what do you want?
- 45:55SPEAKER_02: And you you've really done something better than almost anyone I've seen, where you started with what you want.
- 46:01SPEAKER_02: You want to RV full-time, you don't want to be tethered to a certain location for for business, and here you are.
- 46:08SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's exciting.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: It's exciting.
- 46:10SPEAKER_01: And I I mean, I just can't, I think back of I remember 2005, I wanted to start a brokerage firm and the risk and everything that went with it, I decided not to.
- 46:19SPEAKER_01: Um, I brought on a lot of people to Century 21 over the years, and then when I was at Realty Executives, I mean, I I personally recruited, you know, 20, 30, 40 agents.
- 46:29SPEAKER_01: I mean, we tripled the size of the company, you know, and not every one of them came just because of me, but I mean, a lot of them did.
- 46:36SPEAKER_01: And what do I have to show for that?
- 46:38SPEAKER_01: Nothing, you know.
- 46:40SPEAKER_01: Um, and you know, becoming the CEO is actually a step down in my career because I was but I was chasing my dream.
- 46:48SPEAKER_01: My dream was to coach.
- 46:50SPEAKER_01: I loved coaching.
- 46:51SPEAKER_01: I got such a rush when I was able to help an agent and coach an agent.
- 46:54SPEAKER_01: That was that's that's what I wanted to do.
- 46:56SPEAKER_01: But I took a big hit.
- 46:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, I was selling almost 100 homes a year, and I'm sorry, but the CEO doesn't make that much, right?
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: And so when I I took a step down to chase my career or chase my dream, and um, and I've I've been going after that ever since then, and it's it's getting better and better.
- 47:16SPEAKER_01: But now I feel like with adding EXP and adding the opportunity to coach even more people and influence even more, and then using them, they're then able to use the coaching to influence even more, and so it just begins to snowball, and it's so exciting and so rewarding.
- 47:35SPEAKER_01: And um, and then I know that the money is gonna follow, it always does, and um, and so that's that's the exciting thing, is we're impacting lives, we're helping agents.
- 47:45SPEAKER_01: I mean, just we know some agents that were mutually coaching and just watching where they were at just six months months ago to see where they're at now.
- 47:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, that I get to do that all day long.
- 47:55SPEAKER_01: I get to see one after another, and um, the money follows.
- 47:59SPEAKER_01: I I don't even care about the money, it's the it's the impact that we're making in people's lives that I care about.
- 48:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, and the money comes with that.
- 48:06SPEAKER_02: You know, it's a it's a natural byproduct of impact that you make.
- 48:10SPEAKER_02: Um, it is really cool to see.
- 48:12SPEAKER_02: And you know, anyone who's listening, they're like, I'd love to help other agents, I'd love to do that, but I'm not a coach myself.
- 48:19SPEAKER_02: That's what's beautiful.
- 48:20SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, if you find the right business model, the right brokerage that incentivizes you to bring your friends, to bring those that you want to help, that you want to uh support, bring them with you, and then you become financially aligned with them, you don't need to be a coach.
- 48:36SPEAKER_02: Now you're just a mentor and you're getting compensated by helping others to be successful.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: It's really, really cool.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: And the the call to action is this if you I don't care what you do, but I want you to start thinking about what you actually want to do.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: What do you actually want to do?
- 48:58SPEAKER_02: If you if you want to continue showing homes and driving across town during rush hour to open doors and make offers, and that excites you, fantastic.
- 49:07SPEAKER_02: Congratulations.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: I awesome.
- 49:09SPEAKER_02: Um, if you like to list homes, if you like to do the marketing, if you like to whatever it is, do that.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: It but make sure that that's really what you want.
- 49:18SPEAKER_02: Is that really your dream, or you just kind of think it is because that's what you've been thinking success was for so many years.
- 49:26SPEAKER_02: But what do you actually want?
- 49:27SPEAKER_02: What do you want to do?
- 49:28SPEAKER_02: Do you want to sell all your shit and buy an RV like Neil?
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 49:34SPEAKER_02: Uh, you can start a whole caravan, you know, a whole caravan, a coaching caravan.
- 49:39SPEAKER_02: Um, but it it has me thinking about what do I really want?
- 49:43SPEAKER_02: And I don't really know yet, to be honest with you, what I want, but I want for me, it's as simple.
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: This is how I see it right now.
- 49:51SPEAKER_02: And I know that this is incomplete.
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: And maybe you can help coach me a little bit on this, Neil.
- 49:55SPEAKER_02: But what I want is just pure freedom to do whatever I want whenever I want.
- 50:02SPEAKER_02: Um, it's not like I want to go buy a private jet and go to Turks and Caicos, but that'd be nice.
- 50:07SPEAKER_02: And one day I really think I'll be there.
- 50:10SPEAKER_02: Um, I want the ability to start businesses when I want.
- 50:14SPEAKER_02: If I have a cool idea, I can afford to have a team come in and help me build it and just start businesses and be a an entrepreneur that just you know has a bunch of different businesses going on.
- 50:25SPEAKER_02: Um, that excites me.
- 50:27SPEAKER_02: Um, and I believe that this the steps I've taken up to this point are getting me there quickly, and and it's pretty cool.
- 50:36SPEAKER_02: Um but man, if I just challenge you, listening, think about what you really want.
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: If you're happy, if you're genuinely happy, fantastic.
- 50:46SPEAKER_02: Do more of that.
- 50:47SPEAKER_02: But uh, there's so many different things you can do.
- 50:50SPEAKER_02: Remember our episode with Tarek El Musa from uh HGTV's flipper flop?
- 50:54SPEAKER_02: I mean, this guy, he's this huge TV star now and has all these different businesses, and he he's uh flipping you know thousands of homes and you know, big portfolio of rental properties and all this stuff.
- 51:06SPEAKER_02: Uh, but he started as an agent looking for ways to get more clients, and so he pitched a show idea to HGTV, thinking this will help me get more buyers and sellers.
- 51:17SPEAKER_02: And um, and man, such an amazing industry.
- 51:22SPEAKER_02: I'm just uh I'm I'm blessed to be in this industry and I'm blessed to be able to partner with people like you, Neil.
- 51:27SPEAKER_02: And to, I mean, I learned so much from you every time you're on one of our team calls, our team Zoom calls.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, and and but more than that, seeing the results that our agents are having in a short period of time by following your program is awesome.
- 51:42unknown: Yeah.
- 51:42SPEAKER_02: So thank you, my friend.
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: And I think to add to what you're saying here is, you know, for where you're at and what you want to reach for that goal, uh, I I I think a lot of it comes from I I I heard one time I was I was just down on my knees and I was trying to get out of a situation that I was in financially.
- 52:02SPEAKER_01: Um, my wife and I lost a bunch of money in the recession,$264,000.
- 52:07SPEAKER_01: We didn't file bankruptcy against it.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: We agreed to pay it all back.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: And and I and I'm I'm just trying, and it we were also attempting to adopt two children, and I needed the money to do that.
- 52:17SPEAKER_01: I needed this debt to go away.
- 52:19SPEAKER_01: I had all kinds of things going on.
- 52:21SPEAKER_01: And when I prayed about it, I just heard God tell me that you've already got it.
- 52:26SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, what do you mean I've already got it?
- 52:28SPEAKER_01: Like, where where is it?
- 52:29SPEAKER_01: Like, am I is there a bank account that I don't know about?
- 52:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, what am I missing here?
- 52:33SPEAKER_01: Right, right.
- 52:34SPEAKER_01: And and as life continues to go on, I know exactly what God is saying.
- 52:39SPEAKER_01: Like, I know that I've already got it, and I and I have I already see it around me.
- 52:45SPEAKER_01: Uh, I'm just not uh at the time grateful for it.
- 52:49SPEAKER_01: And and I'm I'm not using what is already at my fingertips.
- 52:54SPEAKER_01: And when we decided to go full-time RVing, there were so many challenges and so many reasons why this wouldn't work, but then there were so many reasons why it would.
- 53:03SPEAKER_01: And we had to keep leaning into it and keep being grateful for every moment along the way because every door continued to open.
- 53:11SPEAKER_01: And I think we put these limiting beliefs in our mind that we can't get it because we have to get done with something else in order for that to happen.
- 53:20SPEAKER_01: And my point here is to just start living it.
- 53:23SPEAKER_01: Believe you've already got it, believe that you're already living that dream, that you're already doing what you want to be doing, and you're already living that, and stop putting pressure on yourself to get tasks done that you think are gonna get you there, and and just believe that you've already got it.
- 53:40SPEAKER_01: And I I I broke down in tears a week after we pulled the RV up in front of our house, and I was just sitting, I just had a moment to reflect.
- 53:51SPEAKER_01: And I'm sitting on the couch in the living room and I'm looking out, and there is our RV.
- 53:57SPEAKER_01: And it was just one of those moments, it was like, holy shit, I do have it.
- 54:03SPEAKER_01: I already have how did it already get here?
- 54:05SPEAKER_01: Like, what is going on, right?
- 54:07SPEAKER_01: Like it just is that huge grateful moment of like this is happening, and I think that a lot of us are missing those moments, and and they're already in front of us, and we just don't know it.
- 54:18SPEAKER_01: We're just not taking advantage of it or seeing it.
- 54:22SPEAKER_01: Love it, my friend.
- 54:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely love it.
- 54:25SPEAKER_02: Um let's uh because we've been going for almost an hour, let's uh let's jump to the um let's jump to the rapid fire questions.
- 54:34SPEAKER_02: Um, I want to leave it at that because I think that's a great place to end our conversation.
- 54:38SPEAKER_02: Let's do the rapid fire questions, and then um we'll you can let people know where to find you and how they can learn more about agent rise coaching and what that includes and what you do for them and how they can partner with us and all that stuff.
- 54:50SPEAKER_02: Um we'll do that afterwards and then we'll wrap it up.
- 54:53SPEAKER_02: Cool.
- 54:53SPEAKER_02: All right, so uh you probably remember the drill.
- 54:56SPEAKER_02: Either or you don't need to elaborate unless you want to.
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: And we'll blow through these.
- 55:01SPEAKER_02: Facebook or Instagram?
- 55:04SPEAKER_02: Facebook.
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: Facebook or LinkedIn.
- 55:08SPEAKER_02: Facebook.
- 55:09SPEAKER_02: Okay, books or podcasts.
- 55:12SPEAKER_01: I think last time I said LinkedIn because I was so hot on it.
- 55:15SPEAKER_01: I still am hot on it, but I like I like Facebook.
- 55:18SPEAKER_01: What was the next one?
- 55:19SPEAKER_01: Books or podcasts.
- 55:22SPEAKER_01: Podcasts.
- 55:23SPEAKER_02: Podcasts or audiobooks.
- 55:27SPEAKER_02: Audio books.
- 55:28SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 55:29SPEAKER_02: iPhone or Android?
- 55:31SPEAKER_02: iPhone all the way.
- 55:32SPEAKER_02: Good call.
- 55:33SPEAKER_02: Alexa or Google Home.
- 55:35SPEAKER_02: Neither one.
- 55:36SPEAKER_02: I think they're annoying.
- 55:38SPEAKER_02: They kind of are.
- 55:39SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 55:40SPEAKER_02: I've I've cooled on my outlook of uh of those, but not forever.
- 55:45SPEAKER_02: Like I'm sure.
- 55:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, look, if all Amazon has to do is really do a big marketing push behind Alexa and flash briefings and what's actually available on Alexa, but they haven't really.
- 55:56SPEAKER_02: If they do, I'm gonna be all about flash briefings again and all that stuff, but um we mostly use it to uh set a timer for our coffee in the morning in our French press.
- 56:06SPEAKER_02: That's what we use it for.
- 56:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and my kid will ask it to tell jokes and stuff, but yeah, burgers or pizza?
- 56:15SPEAKER_01: Oh gosh, that's a good one.
- 56:17SPEAKER_01: Those are my two favorite.
- 56:18SPEAKER_01: I gotta go burgers.
- 56:20SPEAKER_01: Burgers or fried cheese curds in Madison, Wisconsin.
- 56:23SPEAKER_01: Yes, that's the combo right there.
- 56:25SPEAKER_01: With cold spotted cow beer.
- 56:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 56:28SPEAKER_01: Okay, well, we'll pick burgers or cheese curds.
- 56:31SPEAKER_01: Burgers or cheeseburgers.
- 56:32SPEAKER_02: I yeah.
- 56:34SPEAKER_02: Do they have cheese curd burgers?
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they do.
- 56:36SPEAKER_02: Oh dear god.
- 56:39SPEAKER_02: Dangerous, dangerous city you live in there.
- 56:42SPEAKER_02: Well, for now.
- 56:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 56:44SPEAKER_01: Um New York or LA?
- 56:47SPEAKER_01: I haven't been to either one, but I'm really intrigued to go to New York.
- 56:50SPEAKER_01: Oh, dude, you've never even been to LA?
- 56:53SPEAKER_01: Nope.
- 56:54SPEAKER_01: I can tell you, man, this boy has not left Wisconsin.
- 56:56SPEAKER_01: So this is gonna be this is gonna be big.
- 56:59SPEAKER_02: Oh man, that's so cool.
- 57:02SPEAKER_02: New York City is wow, like my my favorite place on the planet.
- 57:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:08SPEAKER_02: NFL or NBA?
- 57:10SPEAKER_02: NFL.
- 57:12SPEAKER_02: NFL or Major League Baseball.
- 57:14SPEAKER_02: Major League Baseball all day long.
- 57:16SPEAKER_02: Uh Mountains or beach?
- 57:20SPEAKER_02: Beach.
- 57:22SPEAKER_02: Podcasting or vlogging?
- 57:25SPEAKER_01: Podcasting.
- 57:27SPEAKER_02: YouTube or Facebook Live?
- 57:30SPEAKER_02: YouTube.
- 57:31SPEAKER_02: Uber or Lyft?
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: Uber.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: Gary V or Grant Cardone?
- 57:37SPEAKER_02: Gary V.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: Nice.
- 57:38SPEAKER_01: What's the most impactful book you've ever read?
- 57:43SPEAKER_01: Anything from um Seth Godin.
- 57:46SPEAKER_01: Not one book in particular, but he just has opened my mind to so much in the marketing world.
- 57:51SPEAKER_01: And I just I've read a lot of amazing books, but Seth Godin just he just speaks to me.
- 57:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's uh it's good shit, man.
- 58:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 58:02SPEAKER_02: One app recommendation.
- 58:04SPEAKER_02: Give us a what app are you playing with?
- 58:06SPEAKER_02: Are you obsessed with right now?
- 58:07SPEAKER_02: It doesn't have to be business or real estate related at all.
- 58:09SPEAKER_01: Um, this is such a lame one, but I've used it for so many years and I absolutely love it.
- 58:13SPEAKER_01: Is called Clear.
- 58:15SPEAKER_01: And it's just uh an app that you can list things and organize things that you need to get done and then swipe right when it's done, and you can move things around, and the redder it is, the more important it is.
- 58:27SPEAKER_01: And it's such a simple, stupid app.
- 58:30SPEAKER_01: I think I paid two dollars for it five years ago, and I just love it.
- 58:34SPEAKER_01: Also, I'm super addicted to TikTok right now.
- 58:39SPEAKER_02: Uh have you messed with with reels yet on Instagram?
- 58:42SPEAKER_01: Yes, I don't.
- 58:43SPEAKER_01: I it was like uh it was like eating uh generic Captain Crunch.
- 58:47SPEAKER_01: It's like it tastes kind of like Captain Crunch, but it's not, you know.
- 58:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's like it's like when you have that big sneeze and it goes away.
- 58:56SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right.
- 58:59SPEAKER_02: Uh I I don't I don't really care either way.
- 59:01SPEAKER_02: I TikTok is such a time suck.
- 59:04SPEAKER_02: Yes, it's a ridiculous time suck.
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: I um I just I haven't messed with it.
- 59:10SPEAKER_02: I don't have a whole lot of time to be sucked.
- 59:12SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 59:13SPEAKER_01: So here you go.
- 59:14unknown: Yeah.
- 59:15SPEAKER_02: All right, Neil, where can people find you?
- 59:17SPEAKER_02: Where can they learn more about Agent Rise Coaching?
- 59:19SPEAKER_02: Where can they learn about partnering with you and me and and all that?
- 59:22SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the best way is agentrisecoaching.com, and then there's a schedule call button on there if you want to schedule a call with me.
- 59:30SPEAKER_01: Uh, and I I offer 15-minute free consultations.
- 59:34SPEAKER_01: So agentrisecoaching.com.
- 59:37SPEAKER_01: And I'd love to talk with you.
- 59:39SPEAKER_02: Be great.
- 59:40SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 59:41SPEAKER_02: And uh and reach out to me to or to Neil personally through DM.
- 59:45SPEAKER_02: Uh, what are you on social media?
- 59:47SPEAKER_02: Your handles?
- 59:47SPEAKER_02: Every one of them, all Neil Mathwig or Agent Rise.
- 59:51SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 59:51SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 59:52SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 59:52SPEAKER_02: Good stuff, man.
- 59:53SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm it's an honor to work with you.
- 59:55SPEAKER_02: It's an honor to to see you building your business.
- 59:58SPEAKER_02: It's uh it and it's cool to you know look forward, you know, a year from now, where we're gonna be and what you know, who we're gonna be working with.
- 1:00:06SPEAKER_02: And man, it's just so cool.
- 1:00:07SPEAKER_02: Um, and the other day when when our brokerage announced opening up in Mexico and South Africa and France and India and uh what's the other one, Portugal, like doubling the international reach in uh by the end of this year, you know, by the end of 2020.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_02: It's uh man, there's so much because we're just talking about America right now.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_02: Like I like we're we can be in Canada, we can be in Mexico, we can be in Australia, like man, it's uh it's cool.
- 1:00:37SPEAKER_02: Cool stuff going on.
- 1:00:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: Neil, thank you so much for coming on the Massive Agent podcast.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_02: Great stuff, great conversation, and I wish you and your family well on your on your travels and I mean and all the craziness before your travels with selling all your shit.
- 1:00:51SPEAKER_02: And I can only imagine.
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, awesome, brother.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_02: Well, I look forward to seeing you in Salt Lake again, too.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_02: Absolutely, you guys have to roll through and make sure it's either on your way to or on your way from Jackson Hole.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, because that is like well, I I think I might like Jackson Hole more than than New York City, which is crazy.
- 1:01:15SPEAKER_02: But we named our son Jackson for a reason.
- 1:01:17SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 1:01:18SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_02: Well, part of that reason is we were watching Sons of Anarchy at the time, and and we liked Jax, like Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy.
- 1:01:26SPEAKER_02: So that factored in.
- 1:01:28SPEAKER_02: But thank you, my friend.
- 1:01:31SPEAKER_02: Thanks, buddy.
- 1:01:32SPEAKER_02: I told you guys that was gonna be good shit.
- 1:01:34SPEAKER_02: Neil is the best in the business, not even a joke.
- 1:01:37SPEAKER_02: I've told him told him this many times.
- 1:01:39SPEAKER_02: He's um, you know, he's the best.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_02: I've I've seen some of these other supposed top coaches.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_02: Um, they're the best business people and have, you know, they make the most money, but do they have the most impact on their clients?
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_02: I don't believe they do.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_02: And there's there's common sentiment out there that uh a lot of these top coaches, um, you know, the biggest names in real estate coaching, there's a lot of unhappy clients that have overpaid and under received, if you will.
- 1:02:09SPEAKER_02: Well, you're gonna get the opposite with Neil.
- 1:02:10SPEAKER_02: So I'm I'm proud to call him a friend, and he's taught me a lot.
- 1:02:14SPEAKER_02: I will continue to learn from him.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_02: Um make sure you reach out to him if you want to learn more about his programs, agent rise coaching, or if you want to partner with us, um, work with us, be coached by us.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_02: Let's talk and have that conversation of what that looks like because uh that that's literally what we're doing.
- 1:02:30SPEAKER_02: Like you'll have us as partners, side by side, um, helping you to build your business your way, your way.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: Again, like I said in the beginning before the interview, you can do things your way in this industry.
- 1:02:41SPEAKER_02: You just need to know what what you can do, and then almost be given permission, if you will, to uh you don't need to be given permission, but a lot of us think we do.
- 1:02:49SPEAKER_02: So if you think you do, there you go.
- 1:02:51SPEAKER_02: You have it.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_02: You have my permission.
- 1:02:53SPEAKER_02: You can build the business that you want and have the schedule you want and manage people or not manage people, or show homes or not show homes, or work with buyers or don't, or never sell a home again or sell a thousand, whatever the hell you want to do.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 1:03:08SPEAKER_02: This industry provides for that.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_02: You just have to be bold enough to reach out and grab whatever it is required so you can reach your goals.
- 1:03:17SPEAKER_02: If we can help you do that, awesome.
- 1:03:19SPEAKER_02: If you see synergies in what Neil and I are building with our group, awesome.
- 1:03:23SPEAKER_02: Let's do it together.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_02: It's simple as that.
- 1:03:25SPEAKER_02: If you don't, awesome, but now I have given myself permission to give you permission to go after whatever it is you want to do.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_02: Just be bold and go after it.
- 1:03:36SPEAKER_02: You don't have to do what someone else did just because you think that's how it's done.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_02: That's how they do it doesn't mean that's how you have to do it.
- 1:03:44SPEAKER_02: Such a great industry that we work in and such a great time to live with so much technology available, so many things you can do for free that just require your effort.
- 1:03:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, Neil's matchmaking strategy that's doesn't cost you money, it's just effort.
- 1:04:00SPEAKER_02: But how many agents will actually do it?
- 1:04:02SPEAKER_02: How many of you will actually do it?
- 1:04:03SPEAKER_02: But if you do, I promise you're gonna you're gonna get a lot more of your leads to actually respond to you.
- 1:04:08SPEAKER_02: You're gonna sell a shitload more homes.
- 1:04:11SPEAKER_02: I've seen it.
- 1:04:12SPEAKER_02: I've seen it happen.
- 1:04:13SPEAKER_02: It's helped me, it's helped other agents I will I've worked with, I've seen Neil's clients, I've seen uh those agents that have partnered with Neil and I've thriving.
- 1:04:21SPEAKER_02: It's just um well, it's common sense.
- 1:04:24SPEAKER_02: It it really is common sense.
- 1:04:25SPEAKER_02: It just takes takes some work doing the right thing.
- 1:04:28SPEAKER_02: Guys, thank you so much for listening this week.
- 1:04:29SPEAKER_02: I really appreciate it.
- 1:04:31SPEAKER_02: We'll be back next week with another episode of the Massive Agent Podcast.
- 1:04:34SPEAKER_02: Go sell some homes, go close some loans, have a great weekend, spend some time with your family.
- 1:04:39SPEAKER_02: I'm heading out to San Diego for a for a few days before my son starts, uh, before my son starts first grade.
- 1:04:45SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna go get some beach time, and I'll see you guys back here next week.
- 1:04:48SPEAKER_02: We have a big interview with a Star of a Netflix show next week.
- 1:04:52SPEAKER_02: Stay tuned for that.
- 1:04:53SPEAKER_02: See ya.
