- 0:05Speaker 1: Apoday production.
- 0:10Speaker 2: We begin today by acknowledging the traditional custodians of the
- 0:13Speaker 2: land on which we gather today and pay our respects
- 0:16Speaker 2: to their elders past and present. We extend that respect
- 0:19Speaker 2: to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people's here today. Welcome
- 0:25Speaker 2: to the Grow and Glow Podcast. I'm Ashy, I'm Kiara.
- 0:28Speaker 2: This is a podcast where we learn, laugh, and level
- 0:31Speaker 2: up together.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Let's go deep, let.
- 0:33Speaker 2: The emotions flow, and find the lessons to grow and Glow.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Nothing is off the table with Grow and Glow and
- 0:38Speaker 3: we're here to be your expander.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Hello everybody, We've got a fun funny episode coming up
- 0:47Speaker 1: for you guys. Yeah, sit back and relax. But Share
- 0:50Speaker 1: of the week, what's yours?
- 0:51Speaker 2: I'm going to talk about this foundation but I've never
- 0:54Speaker 2: ever tried before. It has been around for a very
- 0:57Speaker 2: long time coming just take me the song to try
- 1:00Speaker 2: it so loreal, true match. It literally goes on like
- 1:03Speaker 2: water like, so easy to blend, move around. The coverage
- 1:06Speaker 2: is nice and I just love it. It feels great
- 1:09Speaker 2: on my skin. So yeah, that is my share of
- 1:12Speaker 2: the week. New foundation, which is crazy.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And when Kia was telling me about this, I've got
- 1:16Speaker 1: the dupe of it, So the MC beauty tinted serum
- 1:19Speaker 1: is apparently the dupe of that, and I love it.
- 1:21Speaker 3: It's so good. I just got mine from like wool Worse.
- 1:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really nice in the skin and it's got
- 1:26Speaker 1: highly watery acid in it.
- 1:27Speaker 3: It just feels really nice. Hey, it does.
- 1:29Speaker 2: It's like the consistency everything else that I use watery
- 1:33Speaker 2: or something. It's a bit more watery for sure, but
- 1:35Speaker 2: it's really easy to work with. And I just layer
- 1:37Speaker 2: a good thick like layer of moisturizer underneath first and then.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Just like, oh, so nice.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I just feel like it doesn't even feel like I'm
- 1:44Speaker 2: wearing makeup.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I love it all.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I wanted to share something that I've been doing with Tala,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and it's nightly affirmations. I'm going to play it just
- 1:52Speaker 1: on here for you guys to hear because it's so
- 1:55Speaker 1: freaking cute. She obviously can't talk free well because she's two,
- 1:58Speaker 1: but this is what we do each other, and I
- 2:00Speaker 1: just I've had people offer to send the affirmation cards,
- 2:02Speaker 1: but I like saying them just as they come up
- 2:04Speaker 1: for me more, I don't know, genuine and special to her.
- 2:08Speaker 4: I am strong, I am loving, am I am curious,
- 2:14Speaker 4: I give it. I am fantastic, I mean, I am caring.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I am kind, gay, I am determined, I am incredible.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I am gable, I am smart, I am alive.
- 2:41Speaker 5: I am healthy, I mean healthy. I am a good dancer.
- 2:49Speaker 5: I am full of love. No nice send the morning.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Her little voice is the cutest thing I have ever heard.
- 3:02Speaker 2: I am determined, So.
- 3:05Speaker 1: She can't say it. She's trying to say in the tone.
- 3:07Speaker 1: And if you watch me on Instagram stories and I
- 3:10Speaker 1: uploaded it, I like, do different actions like I am loving,
- 3:13Speaker 1: put it on my heart, I am incredible, lift my
- 3:15Speaker 1: hands up. In the end, she does the exact same.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I just think those first seven years. And apparently I've
- 3:21Speaker 1: seen more videos lately because we follow somebody parenting pages.
- 3:24Speaker 1: But age three to seven is really important. But age
- 3:28Speaker 1: one to seven it's like where they get all of
- 3:30Speaker 1: their belief systems from. So if you're constantly telling them
- 3:33Speaker 1: how amazing they are, how smart they are, how capable
- 3:36Speaker 1: they are, how incredible they are, they will grow up
- 3:39Speaker 1: believing that their confidence will be through the roof. Whereas
- 3:42Speaker 1: you're constantly putting your kids down and saying you're not
- 3:44Speaker 1: doing that right, like you're bad for doing this. That
- 3:47Speaker 1: becomes air belief. I'm not good enough, I'm not smart enough,
- 3:50Speaker 1: I'm not capable, I'm always in trouble. I'm always letting
- 3:52Speaker 1: my mom down. So important the language and words that
- 3:55Speaker 1: we put into our kids' brains, they are little sponges.
- 3:58Speaker 1: They really are. Well finishing the night night that with
- 4:00Speaker 1: her just feeling so good about herself. Obviously she doesn't
- 4:03Speaker 1: really know what a lot of them mean. Yeah, but
- 4:05Speaker 1: I'd want that to be her normal where she speaks
- 4:07Speaker 1: to herself with those words and those languages for anyone
- 4:10Speaker 1: ever tried to tell her otherwise, she'd be like, I've.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Been telling myself every day that on the opposite, so
- 4:15Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure, pretty.
- 4:16Speaker 3: Sure I'm dumb. I'm smart as.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm fantastic. Like can you imagine that was? I want
- 4:24Speaker 1: her to giggle and be like, no, I'm fucking fantastic. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: it bounces straight off me.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Miller loves doing them. Yeah, we were doing the car
- 4:32Speaker 2: on the way to school. But that's really special to
- 4:36Speaker 2: do it before bed.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Because it would bed with the goodbyes on.
- 4:38Speaker 2: Their mind as well.
- 4:39Speaker 1: When they're going to meditation I really like that, So
- 4:42Speaker 1: we're actually good an episode. It's like would you rather,
- 4:45Speaker 1: but more serious ones. But before we get into it,
- 4:47Speaker 1: Kiara and I were having a conversation about star signs
- 4:50Speaker 1: and I got up a little thing to see how
- 4:52Speaker 1: compatible we are. Kiara, do just know about this?
- 4:56Speaker 2: I'm so excited, I know.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So I've just sent Kiara the article as well. We're
- 5:00Speaker 1: going to read outs and pieces of it.
- 5:02Speaker 2: So it says Virgo and Sagittarius friends can be incredibly
- 5:06Speaker 2: helpful to each other. Virgo, due to their perfectionist nature,
- 5:09Speaker 2: can involve themselves in numerous tasks. Sagittarius, due to their
- 5:13Speaker 2: energetic nature, can always lift Virgo's mood and offer a
- 5:16Speaker 2: helping hand whenever they can. Whether or not Virgo can
- 5:19Speaker 2: trust their work is another matter. Both these signs also
- 5:23Speaker 2: have a strong sense of conviction, even though they differ
- 5:26Speaker 2: in their approaches. This gives them solidity, and their diverse
- 5:29Speaker 2: personalities brings dynamism, which increases the Virgo and Sagittarius friendship capability.
- 5:36Speaker 2: Virgo Sagittarius friendships can be weak at times when Virgo
- 5:39Speaker 2: tries to direct Sagittarius actions too much. Sagittarius can be
- 5:43Speaker 2: too assertive as well. But what matters is how both
- 5:45Speaker 2: of them react to each other's suggestions. If both of
- 5:48Speaker 2: them can offer suggestions and also give them the freedom
- 5:50Speaker 2: to accept or reject those, Virgis Sagittarius friendships can last
- 5:54Speaker 2: for a lifetime.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Yeah, so similar to this part I'm reading. While Virgo
- 5:58Speaker 1: and sad do have excellent potential to create a healthy
- 6:00Speaker 1: and supportive relationship dynamic with that's romantic or platonic, which
- 6:04Speaker 1: will probably menation to will not always be smooth sailing,
- 6:06Speaker 1: which is in the case of any square aspect dynamic.
- 6:09Speaker 1: For one thing, virger Is particular, Sagittarius is a lot
- 6:12Speaker 1: more laid back, but sometimes to the point of tactlessness,
- 6:15Speaker 1: whether it's differences and approaching chores, communications, or social grace,
- 6:19Speaker 1: Virgo may find themselves frustrated with sagas disorderly antics. You
- 6:24Speaker 1: have strengths that I don't have, and vice versa, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: that's why the friendship works. And I've said it from
- 6:29Speaker 1: the get go, I don't even know how to use
- 6:31Speaker 1: fucking Google docs. But when you started doing these episode
- 6:35Speaker 1: called these Google docs with these different topics and like organizing,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and it's highlighted and read and we can both type
- 6:40Speaker 1: at the same time.
- 6:41Speaker 3: I was blown away.
- 6:42Speaker 1: I was like, oh my god, here I am being
- 6:45Speaker 1: the laid back, like spontaneous person.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I would have just rocked up to the studio and just.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Like you know, winged it. But I love how organized
- 6:53Speaker 1: you are.
- 6:54Speaker 2: It's a good balance, such a good balance. It is
- 6:56Speaker 2: a good balance because then you as well, you're like, oh,
- 6:58Speaker 2: that's just like right now, let's just chuck this in there,
- 7:00Speaker 2: and it makes it more interesting and fun.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Yeah, Like you're organized and create a lot of certainty
- 7:04Speaker 1: and we know we can get shit done. And then
- 7:06Speaker 1: sometimes I feel like I bring the adventure of the
- 7:08Speaker 1: risk taking and the playfulness.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Definitely, it mixes so well. It does mix so well,
- 7:12Speaker 2: especially with work. I feel like I'm quite analytical.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yes, and I'm not Yes, I'm not.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I do remember you saying you struggle if Kurt and
- 7:20Speaker 1: I are more assertive yes, and like dominant yes. Whereas
- 7:26Speaker 1: I think from what I've read of Sagittarians who we are,
- 7:28Speaker 1: we can be quite leaders and try and take control
- 7:31Speaker 1: and like organize everything with the social one the adventurous ones.
- 7:35Speaker 3: So that's been something for me to like.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's good feedback to go, oh, just be cautious, to
- 7:40Speaker 1: not be so dominant.
- 7:41Speaker 2: It's so funny though, because I only find it in
- 7:44Speaker 2: work wise, and maybe it's because as well, Like this
- 7:46Speaker 2: could truly be because I've worked on my own for
- 7:49Speaker 2: so long. You do everything your own way, and then
- 7:51Speaker 2: when you got two people, you're like, oh, wow, now
- 7:53Speaker 2: I need to consider how we do this and how
- 7:54Speaker 2: we do that. Or like sometimes I'll write, you know,
- 7:57Speaker 2: like something all the way out and then you're like, oh,
- 7:59Speaker 2: I don't know about that, and they're like, oh shit.
- 8:00Speaker 2: But because you're so used to being like doing stuff
- 8:02Speaker 2: on your own, it's just getting used to it. But
- 8:04Speaker 2: I feel like we do it pretty freaking.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Well, definitely, and I get it. If I don't take control,
- 8:10Speaker 1: then you will think I'm lazy.
- 8:12Speaker 2: We honestly, honestly probably have both got a little bit ship.
- 8:16Speaker 2: But then I feel like I've got that wounding too,
- 8:18Speaker 2: because like you know, that's that masculine shield coming up.
- 8:21Speaker 2: So when we're both in that masculine energy and one
- 8:24Speaker 2: of us isn't kind of being more submissive, you clash
- 8:26Speaker 2: because you need one being more the masculine, more the feminine,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and I don't want.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You to think like, oh, she just you've never done
- 8:32Speaker 1: anything to make me feel like my own. But I
- 8:35Speaker 1: get scared you'll be like, oh, she just expects me
- 8:37Speaker 1: to do it all. So sometimes I'm like, I'll just
- 8:39Speaker 1: jump in and get it done and then here can relax.
- 8:43Speaker 2: I think we balance it perfectly right now. I feel
- 8:46Speaker 2: like the last few months, the way we've been doing
- 8:49Speaker 2: this has just been very easy.
- 8:52Speaker 1: And it was also I think we're getting better at communicating,
- 8:55Speaker 1: as in, like I remember when I was going through
- 8:56Speaker 1: my stuff with Baseline, I was like, my brain's not on.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I really need you to lead a lot of these conversations.
- 9:02Speaker 1: And even though it still felt really even, I just
- 9:04Speaker 1: felt like I could drop in and like you take control.
- 9:07Speaker 1: And this time you were like, oh, I feel like
- 9:08Speaker 1: I haven't had much time to prep, and I was like, cool.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Go in me. I'm like I need a prep. Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I was like sitting back and relax, like I've got this,
- 9:15Speaker 1: like everything out, I'm feeling and confident. It's really flowy
- 9:18Speaker 1: episodes like We've got this all, you know. So I
- 9:21Speaker 1: think we've just gotten so much better at communicating. Whether
- 9:24Speaker 1: we're ever bad, no, But when you have a friendship
- 9:26Speaker 1: and you're entering a business and work dynamic. Things can
- 9:30Speaker 1: change and you have to learn to be communicating. Wear
- 9:32Speaker 1: both hats quite well. It is.
- 9:34Speaker 2: It's the switch on switch off, isn't it?
- 9:35Speaker 1: It really is so good, so good.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Anyways, that was a well apparently our communication compatibility is
- 9:42Speaker 2: sixty percent sixty They would be hoped to be higher
- 9:45Speaker 2: than nothing. Fine, I think we're high.
- 9:47Speaker 1: We're not.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Actually, I think we I think there's not much. It
- 9:50Speaker 2: goes like.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Unsaid no, and it's always very respectful, yeah, and very
- 9:54Speaker 1: kind and very loving.
- 9:56Speaker 2: It's always us taking accountability. Yes, like all this has
- 9:58Speaker 2: triggered me. I need to just see while this is
- 10:00Speaker 2: my own share or even if something happens and you're
- 10:03Speaker 2: like that upset me, Like, but that's my fault, it upset.
- 10:05Speaker 1: I mean, it's not your Yes, we reassure each other.
- 10:07Speaker 5: We do.
- 10:08Speaker 3: Yeah, so true.
- 10:10Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, we've got some would you rather so?
- 10:13Speaker 3: Both Kiir and I.
- 10:14Speaker 1: We want you guys to play along, so have a
- 10:16Speaker 1: get out of pen and paper or just like have
- 10:17Speaker 1: a think about what you do. Some are serious and
- 10:19Speaker 1: some are silly. We really playful fun episode because we
- 10:22Speaker 1: do this like in our friendship. So I thought, why
- 10:25Speaker 1: not bring this to the podcast.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I'm littly nervous. I read over a couple of years
- 10:29Speaker 2: and I was like, I have no idea what I'm
- 10:30Speaker 2: going to answer that.
- 10:31Speaker 3: You got to answer?
- 10:33Speaker 1: All right, I'll start, Okay, would you rather never have
- 10:36Speaker 1: to worry about money again? But not have any really
- 10:39Speaker 1: close friends or have a really beautiful friendships and always
- 10:41Speaker 1: be worrying about money?
- 10:43Speaker 4: Ah?
- 10:45Speaker 2: Close friendships obviously, so you're always stressed about money. But
- 10:48Speaker 2: then also that's a huge burden to always be stressed
- 10:51Speaker 2: about money. But I would rather I think not having
- 10:54Speaker 2: connection would be so much worse than not having I'm
- 10:57Speaker 2: an agree with money stress. You just have less and.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Let's do less.
- 11:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but it is still like, honestly, fucking hell, financial
- 11:04Speaker 2: freedomould be a really nice feeling too.
- 11:06Speaker 1: Yeah, vircial burden is very consuming. Oh, it's like so.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Bad for your nervous system, mental health.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Yeah, even a lot of relationships, I say, like most
- 11:15Speaker 1: divorces end these days because of money stress. Yeah, it
- 11:18Speaker 1: doesn't surprise me. Yes, Yeah, how about you of agreements?
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 11:22Speaker 1: Rather yeah, connections my high style you're not money, Yeah, definitely.
- 11:27Speaker 2: What would you rather give up on social media, or
- 11:31Speaker 2: eat the same dinner for the rest of your life.
- 11:33Speaker 2: I know you're a foodie.
- 11:35Speaker 1: I am a foodie, but I could easily have the
- 11:37Speaker 1: same dish every night for dinner. Oh, he go, because
- 11:40Speaker 1: I kind of eat the same dishes on rotation. Okay,
- 11:43Speaker 1: Taco's one night's steak another night, speedy bolonnais another night,
- 11:46Speaker 1: chicken and veg another night, like just because the kids
- 11:48Speaker 1: and I.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Enjoy those meals.
- 11:49Speaker 2: What would you want?
- 11:50Speaker 1: Meal be?
- 11:50Speaker 3: Probably chicken, snitzeel and veggies.
- 11:53Speaker 2: For the horrors of your life.
- 11:54Speaker 3: That or speedy onance.
- 11:55Speaker 2: So no more Asian fusion, no going out for dinner.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I could do that easily. Yeah, But was the
- 12:00Speaker 1: other option not.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Be on social media?
- 12:02Speaker 2: Give up on social media?
- 12:03Speaker 1: I would also love a life from those social you know.
- 12:05Speaker 1: I think so either I could do Yeah, but I'd
- 12:08Speaker 1: probably choose the meal because I get a lot of
- 12:10Speaker 1: connection in my work and everything is on social media.
- 12:13Speaker 1: But you yeah, I'd probably choose.
- 12:16Speaker 2: To eat the same food as well for right now.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, we're talking like this is actual. Would you rather
- 12:24Speaker 1: never wear makeup or never wear fake tan?
- 12:27Speaker 3: Again?
- 12:28Speaker 2: Fake tan?
- 12:30Speaker 3: You'd rather be pale?
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Oh?
- 12:31Speaker 3: I think I'm the opposite.
- 12:33Speaker 2: I have got a bit of natural ten in me.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But yeah, so you'd rather not wear makeup ye again
- 12:39Speaker 2: and have really because you're always mentionally always gonna be oh,
- 12:42Speaker 2: look so pacy.
- 12:43Speaker 1: We don't have it on.
- 12:43Speaker 2: But I think you're just saying that. I don't feel
- 12:45Speaker 2: like you actually.
- 12:46Speaker 1: Would prefer without a fake don't babe. And I don't
- 12:48Speaker 1: want to sun bake all the time, yeah, because my
- 12:50Speaker 1: tan just fades so quick and mum's head skin cancer something.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I've been the sun all the time. No, and I
- 12:55Speaker 1: just I feel like it look sick. But I don't
- 12:57Speaker 1: have fake tan on. Like there's always someone that say, oh,
- 12:59Speaker 1: you're really tired, or like any okay, like there's just
- 13:02Speaker 1: crushing on like, yeah, I'm just pisty.
- 13:05Speaker 2: And then I guess like if you went make up free,
- 13:06Speaker 2: you could get a lot of different work or things
- 13:08Speaker 2: done on your face to make it happy the way
- 13:11Speaker 2: you look. I could go try skinneedling for the first time.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But yeah, I think I would choose to get rid
- 13:17Speaker 2: of the tam. Yeah, as much as I love my nice.
- 13:22Speaker 3: Yeah you go.
- 13:22Speaker 1: Brown on the sun, I do go browning.
- 13:24Speaker 5: I don't.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I go to barley for a week, and like
- 13:27Speaker 1: one day I might be like, oh, a bit of color.
- 13:29Speaker 3: The next day white.
- 13:30Speaker 2: Oh do you peel?
- 13:32Speaker 1: No, I don't peel good, but just white. Like Hi,
- 13:34Speaker 1: you're going again.
- 13:36Speaker 2: I think you've got to be like consistent, like when
- 13:38Speaker 2: you go in the sun.
- 13:39Speaker 1: But yeah, I also get like, all, my timmy, you've
- 13:41Speaker 1: got so many moles and freckles from being in the sun.
- 13:44Speaker 1: So if I'm just some bake all lay in the sun,
- 13:46Speaker 1: but I'll have like three or more freckles pop up.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Yeah I'm frankly too.
- 13:50Speaker 1: I'm freckly. Yeah, me too. Tyler calls them on my belly,
- 13:54Speaker 1: the bigger ones nipples, nipples. She's combined mole and nipple
- 14:00Speaker 1: and mummy is big nipple. Oh that is she knows
- 14:03Speaker 1: what a nipple is, and she knows what a mole is,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and she's combined them. I'm like, my gosh, so funny.
- 14:10Speaker 2: Would you rather know the date of your death or
- 14:13Speaker 2: the cause of your death? You have to choose one date,
- 14:16Speaker 2: the date so you know when you're going to die.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Then remember I already know, yeah, yeah, rather the date, Okay.
- 14:23Speaker 1: Then I know like how much time I've got, how
- 14:25Speaker 1: I'm going to live my life. I feel like I
- 14:26Speaker 1: could really live my life full out. I'd make the
- 14:28Speaker 1: most of every moment. I'd book into my travel. I'd
- 14:31Speaker 1: like take my kids where I want to take them.
- 14:33Speaker 1: I'd set up things that can help them have good
- 14:35Speaker 1: memories of me. I'd want to to date about you.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I find this one so hard. I just like all
- 14:40Speaker 2: this stuff to be a mystery.
- 14:42Speaker 3: But and it is a mystery.
- 14:44Speaker 1: It is a mystery.
- 14:46Speaker 2: I feel like, no, how because I feel like if
- 14:49Speaker 2: I knew the date, it would be really hard to
- 14:51Speaker 2: not fixate on it. So I think for my own
- 14:54Speaker 2: mental capacity, how but not no when? So it just
- 14:59Speaker 2: like happened.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh the anxiety of wondering when it's going to
- 15:02Speaker 1: happen though, But we're.
- 15:02Speaker 2: All going to die one day anyway. Anxiety that.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Would you rather be in a job that you hate
- 15:12Speaker 1: but have the best, deeply connected marriage, or have a
- 15:15Speaker 1: job that fulfills you and pays amazing and your relationships
- 15:19Speaker 1: just mediocre?
- 15:20Speaker 2: First one job that I hate and a good relationship.
- 15:23Speaker 2: I feel like a lot of us have been there anyway,
- 15:25Speaker 2: Like been in a job that you hate, but.
- 15:27Speaker 1: For me, fucking consuming being in a job you hate,
- 15:29Speaker 1: like I'm talking, you hate going you go nine to
- 15:32Speaker 1: five Monday to Friday, Like that's seventy percent of your life.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but then when you're a tie, you gotta be
- 15:38Speaker 2: with that person every day too, if they're alive.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Would you rather travel and experience the whole world but
- 15:44Speaker 1: live a shorter life or live a longer life but
- 15:47Speaker 1: only ever stay in the one place?
- 15:51Speaker 2: So like, how far can you travel? Like I couldn't
- 15:53Speaker 2: travel a shy or I could travel a show.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I can't travel to stay in your location where you live,
- 15:57Speaker 1: like the first the first one live a short a
- 15:59Speaker 1: little bit around the Gold Coast, live a shorter life
- 16:02Speaker 1: and traveling around. Yeah, yeah, me too, that's easy one
- 16:04Speaker 1: for me.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Flip a coin for the chance to win two hundred
- 16:08Speaker 2: thousand dollars or immediately get twenty thousand dollars.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Oh first one for a coin? Yeah yeah, grand, Like, yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 1: I know I can earn that that will come to me. Yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: but I'd rather take a chance. Take your chance if
- 16:20Speaker 1: you don't get the two under grand like you didn't
- 16:22Speaker 1: have anyways, So that's exactly right, you get it.
- 16:24Speaker 3: That's life changing.
- 16:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I heard this story the other day. Actually,
- 16:27Speaker 2: it was in one of my courses about this, and
- 16:29Speaker 2: it was this lady who won the lottery. Thought it'd
- 16:33Speaker 2: be a fun, little interesting story to share while we're
- 16:34Speaker 2: on the topic. She won the lottery, right, and she
- 16:37Speaker 2: was over the moon. She was just so happy, so excited.
- 16:41Speaker 2: She'd won twelve million dollars, went in there to receive
- 16:44Speaker 2: the money. Oh no, what happened, and then found out
- 16:46Speaker 2: it's one amongst like ten of them. Oh, then she
- 16:49Speaker 2: got two million dollars. But by the time all the
- 16:51Speaker 2: taxes and everything came off, she got a million dollars.
- 16:53Speaker 2: She fell into a deep depression, more depressed than she'd
- 16:56Speaker 2: ever been in her whole life. What yep, because she
- 16:58Speaker 2: thought she'd want all that money, and then she had
- 17:00Speaker 2: one only a million?
- 17:02Speaker 3: Only a million?
- 17:03Speaker 2: Yes, but you know the crazy thing, This is why
- 17:05Speaker 2: the mindset is so powerful. When she had one twelve
- 17:08Speaker 2: million but didn't physically have any extra money than she's
- 17:11Speaker 2: ever had, she was the happiest, most excited she'd been
- 17:13Speaker 2: in her entire life. And then when she had a
- 17:15Speaker 2: million dollars, the most money she's ever had in her
- 17:17Speaker 2: entire life, she was the most depressed she has ever
- 17:20Speaker 2: been and Yeah, I just thought that was a really
- 17:22Speaker 2: cool little mindset storyeho. Yep, and she physically actually had
- 17:28Speaker 2: the million dollars by that.
- 17:29Speaker 3: Point far out. That's crazy.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Also, how nice would have been win a million dollars?
- 17:34Speaker 1: Yeah? Would you rather be okay at most things? Or
- 17:39Speaker 1: be an expert at one topic that you're passionate about?
- 17:42Speaker 2: Be okay at most things. I feel like to be
- 17:45Speaker 2: able to understand people more and have more knowledge around
- 17:49Speaker 2: more topics. I would rather that versus not knowing about
- 17:52Speaker 2: heats of other things and just knowing one thing. I
- 17:54Speaker 2: think you can relate to people more, more diverse, and
- 17:58Speaker 2: also learn way more about yourself if you're learning about
- 18:00Speaker 2: dabbling all different topics.
- 18:01Speaker 3: What about you?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm the same, You're the same. Would you rather
- 18:04Speaker 2: work a high paying job that you hate or a
- 18:08Speaker 2: dream job with only enough money for necessities so you
- 18:11Speaker 2: couldn't travel it's not a necessity.
- 18:13Speaker 1: But if you have the job you hate, you can
- 18:15Speaker 1: obviously get all the money in the world.
- 18:17Speaker 2: High paying job you hate or a dream job with
- 18:19Speaker 2: only enough money for necessities.
- 18:21Speaker 1: Probably ah, so hard, Probably the dream job. But then
- 18:26Speaker 1: with the job you hate, you can travel and like really.
- 18:29Speaker 2: Look forward to your holiday so you can have your
- 18:30Speaker 2: fun and fulfillment from other areas or work dream job.
- 18:36Speaker 2: But then also like, could you pick up a side gig?
- 18:40Speaker 2: Look at us bending the rules.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Oh, I'm in two minds about this one. I think
- 18:44Speaker 1: I'd go the dream job, but then I keep getting
- 18:45Speaker 1: pulled back to take the job I hate and get
- 18:47Speaker 1: my fun fulfilled elsewhere and use my money to create
- 18:50Speaker 1: more happiness everwhere else.
- 18:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I'd do the same honestly.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Even with more money, Like you can help more people,
- 18:56Speaker 1: which fulfills a massive need of mind like a love
- 18:58Speaker 1: making impact and contribution.
- 19:00Speaker 3: H But then you can do that with the dream
- 19:01Speaker 3: job in other ways.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Yeah, But then to only have enough money to have
- 19:04Speaker 2: a necessities, like you couldn't buy a house, Yeah, you
- 19:07Speaker 2: could just putn't travel, you couldn't go out for dinners,
- 19:10Speaker 2: all those things. You know.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I do value a lot of that.
- 19:12Speaker 1: I'll go the first one.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I think I'll go the first one.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Okay, this is a funny one. Would you rather have
- 19:18Speaker 1: your mouth take for one year and not talk or
- 19:22Speaker 1: have your hands tied for one year and not be
- 19:24Speaker 1: able to use your hands?
- 19:26Speaker 2: Well, I need to get rid of my hands so
- 19:27Speaker 2: I can keep it on the podcast. Yeah, I think,
- 19:34Speaker 2: you know what, I'm pretty good at using my feet,
- 19:37Speaker 2: Like I can pick stuff up with my toes, like
- 19:39Speaker 2: I can walk past an eygrass likens, pick it up
- 19:41Speaker 2: my toes. There you go, and then I put it
- 19:43Speaker 2: in my hand mouth and even then, like how do
- 19:49Speaker 2: you eat? You know?
- 19:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 19:52Speaker 1: But I think about Bethany Hamilt from the girl that
- 19:54Speaker 1: like her arm got in by a shark. Yeah she changes.
- 19:57Speaker 1: She has four kids, now she changes. You just get
- 20:00Speaker 1: used to it, wouldn't you still got one arm, but yeah,
- 20:02Speaker 1: you would get used to it. Not talking it would
- 20:04Speaker 1: be really hard. But if you couldn't talk, you could
- 20:06Speaker 1: write what you wanted to say. I know how long
- 20:08Speaker 1: would that take?
- 20:10Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 20:10Speaker 2: And you feel so disconnected. I feel like I feel
- 20:12Speaker 2: so disconnected not talking, honestly, I feel like that's like, yeah, that.
- 20:16Speaker 1: Would be really uncomfortable to sleep though.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I know, but like, can you imagine not doing to.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Any like your kids are not hearing your voice?
- 20:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not shit, or even just like trying to
- 20:24Speaker 2: communicate something when you're like frustrate. It'd be so hard, Steve,
- 20:30Speaker 2: give me that.
- 20:31Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, that makes sense which would you choose?
- 20:36Speaker 3: I think the same.
- 20:37Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, okay. Would you rather always be twenty
- 20:43Speaker 2: minutes late or two hours early?
- 20:47Speaker 1: Two hours early?
- 20:50Speaker 3: Pretty early in most things?
- 20:51Speaker 2: Two hours though, Yeah, because I.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Can put my time, I can read a book, I
- 20:54Speaker 1: can meditate and go for a walk.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 20:56Speaker 1: I think it's a laundromt lately because my washing machines broken.
- 20:58Speaker 1: I walk in between the Washington drum or feel it? Okay,
- 21:02Speaker 1: I feel like I'm changing. I feel like I was
- 21:04Speaker 1: always super early. I feel like I'm becoming an on timer.
- 21:07Speaker 2: So I would say, if it's out of two hours
- 21:09Speaker 2: and twenty minutes, I'm taking the twenty minutes.
- 21:12Speaker 1: But then you're gonna let your kids hang around at
- 21:14Speaker 1: school when no one else is around because you're twenty
- 21:16Speaker 1: minutes late to pick them up and there's strange danger
- 21:19Speaker 1: lever us.
- 21:20Speaker 2: They'll be in their classroom.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Still, what do they not come out to meet you? No,
- 21:25Speaker 1: to got into the classroom to pick them up?
- 21:26Speaker 2: Well, no, they know who is so you put in
- 21:28Speaker 2: you're picking them up the classroom. They all lot to
- 21:30Speaker 2: lead to you there.
- 21:30Speaker 1: So tar does they all come out the front, Yeah,
- 21:32Speaker 1: some of them do that. So you're doing okay, to
- 21:34Speaker 1: hold your teachers up twenty minutes every single day. Well,
- 21:37Speaker 1: they're there anyway.
- 21:38Speaker 3: What if they want to go home and all the
- 21:39Speaker 3: kids have gone except for yours.
- 21:41Speaker 2: They're there till four o'clock. But yeah, I think if
- 21:45Speaker 2: I had shoes two hours early, that's so much time
- 21:47Speaker 2: out of.
- 21:48Speaker 3: A dad, so much for yourself.
- 21:50Speaker 2: But you're there so like you're in your car.
- 21:52Speaker 1: But you can go for a walk, you can meditate,
- 21:53Speaker 1: you can read, do all your emails, create Google docs, eat,
- 21:59Speaker 1: you can eat, you can eat eating, go get some GYG.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Chips, GYG chips home to honestly, can we can we please?
- 22:07Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna go twenty minutes you otherwise?
- 22:10Speaker 3: What am I doing?
- 22:10Speaker 5: I know?
- 22:11Speaker 2: Well, I used to always be that person too.
- 22:12Speaker 1: We were both really early. You know what, I'm agreeing
- 22:14Speaker 1: with you.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I'm on time at the moment. I'm not super early.
- 22:17Speaker 2: It's like we both have in but it's nice because
- 22:18Speaker 2: we're not.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not one of us super It's uncomfortable though.
- 22:21Speaker 3: I don't like to be late.
- 22:23Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as the person knows so, like, I
- 22:25Speaker 2: will always say to you, like even this morning for example, right,
- 22:28Speaker 2: And she was gonna be at seven forty five, and
- 22:30Speaker 2: I said, I will leave my house around seven, so
- 22:32Speaker 2: I'll let you know like when i'm leaving, because it just.
- 22:35Speaker 1: Depends, and I don't care if you're late.
- 22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and then she knows, She's like, sweet, I'll make
- 22:39Speaker 2: sure that I've got stuff there that I do, you
- 22:41Speaker 2: know what I mean, coffee. But I don't like when
- 22:43Speaker 2: people show up and don't let you know. Yes, I
- 22:46Speaker 2: feel like they're not respecting your time, because I would
- 22:48Speaker 2: call the school if I was going to be twenty minutes, like,
- 22:49Speaker 2: I'm so sorry, I'm going to be twenty mines late.
- 22:51Speaker 2: But imagine having to that every day? How embarrassing? Not
- 22:55Speaker 2: like you?
- 22:56Speaker 3: How many excuses can you come up with?
- 23:01Speaker 1: My god, okay, last one that I've got if you
- 23:04Speaker 1: had to chew one, would you rather all of your
- 23:07Speaker 1: text messages leaked, every single one of.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Them, or all of your photos and videos text messages?
- 23:13Speaker 3: Really?
- 23:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I've got some deep conversations with you with everyone
- 23:18Speaker 1: them we do often redially. We actually taught all of
- 23:21Speaker 1: my friends to do the same thing.
- 23:22Speaker 2: Yeah, delete them off.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Let's say we haven't.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Okay, so there's like our deepest like we're vulnerable.
- 23:28Speaker 2: But then there's also like my deepest things on photos and.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Video sexy videos, Steve, I did not want that.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I would choose text messages.
- 23:37Speaker 1: I don't care about photos, to be honest, like, okay, cool,
- 23:39Speaker 1: you see my boobs whatever, Yeah, like anything else.
- 23:43Speaker 2: But even like photos of like I've got photos of Kurt.
- 23:45Speaker 2: It's like he's privacy. He's got cheeky one like we'vet
- 23:48Speaker 2: cheeky ones gets out of the shower like.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Yeah, okay, I don't have those of Steve.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But yeah, I think I choose text messages. Yeah, I
- 23:57Speaker 2: feel like a lot of my deepest conversations happen in
- 24:00Speaker 2: person anyway, or some low voice messages.
- 24:03Speaker 1: With you, you know. Yeah, my friends, we've always messaged
- 24:08Speaker 1: a lot. Yeah, like me and Megsie, me and Deanie,
- 24:11Speaker 1: me and Sarah me. Yeah, I think I'll go photos,
- 24:14Speaker 1: you go photos.
- 24:14Speaker 2: But then there's I needed to deleat some videos, even
- 24:18Speaker 2: photos of like the kids nude and stuff I really
- 24:20Speaker 2: take better as my kids neuds like fro when they
- 24:22Speaker 2: were little, when they were younger, I've.
- 24:24Speaker 3: Always got nappies on.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:25Speaker 2: Yeah, i feel like I've got ones from like when
- 24:27Speaker 2: our kids are really young. Like in the bath together.
- 24:29Speaker 3: And stuff like that.
- 24:30Speaker 2: In the bar, yeah, in the bar, or like in
- 24:32Speaker 2: the pool because like we always like they will do
- 24:34Speaker 2: noody swims and stuff.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yeah, so much to think about.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yep.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Never have a home or never go outside? What so,
- 24:46Speaker 2: never have a home, so you have to like live
- 24:48Speaker 2: at other people's houses, like go places or never go outside?
- 24:54Speaker 3: Oh my friends okay for me to stay at their house.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Well, they might tell you they are.
- 25:00Speaker 1: I'd love to live with my friends. Yeah, oh I
- 25:02Speaker 1: think never have a home. Never have a home, yeah, yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: not being able to.
- 25:05Speaker 3: Go outside, I know.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I'd happily live with a couple of my girlfriends and
- 25:09Speaker 1: their families. Yeah, so you have to kind of just
- 25:11Speaker 1: move around.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Yeah, all right. And last one, be able to remember
- 25:17Speaker 2: everything you learn or remember clearly all of your most
- 25:22Speaker 2: fond memories, and able to relive them whenever you want.
- 25:26Speaker 3: That last option, last option.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I can always relearn stuff, and some stuff
- 25:31Speaker 1: that I've learned I don't even need.
- 25:32Speaker 3: The memories are way more special. Same with you. What
- 25:34Speaker 3: are you thinking, I'm thinking it's a hard one to answer.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I'm thinking it'd be really amazing to be
- 25:41Speaker 2: able to remember everything you can learn, because I feel
- 25:43Speaker 2: like you'd be able to, like fucking imagine the knowledge
- 25:46Speaker 2: you could have and the lessons you could teach others
- 25:48Speaker 2: and what you could bring to the.
- 25:49Speaker 3: World because you're learning so much at the moment too.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Oh imagine you just read everything. I feel like I
- 25:54Speaker 2: literally like read a book, do an audiobook on it
- 25:56Speaker 2: as well, and then like listen to a few podcasts
- 25:58Speaker 2: on it, and then like, after like a year, I'm.
- 26:00Speaker 1: Like, what was that about again?
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Like it's so hard to keep remembering info but
- 26:04Speaker 2: then living your fondest memories like Christmas mornings with the kids.
- 26:08Speaker 1: As you get older than.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Your children, I think I'd have to choose that I
- 26:12Speaker 2: would the pain.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I don't want to experience it, but like I'd love
- 26:14Speaker 3: to birth.
- 26:15Speaker 2: So you're not in the pain, it's just the memories
- 26:17Speaker 2: you're reliving it.
- 26:18Speaker 1: So to birth your kids again, oh love to my gosh,
- 26:22Speaker 1: that'd be amazing. That'd be amazing.
- 26:24Speaker 2: PS To attract better, you have to become better. You
- 26:28Speaker 2: can't do the same things and expect change. Transform your mindset,
- 26:32Speaker 2: upgrade your habits, think positive, be hopeful and consistent with
- 26:36Speaker 2: your evolution. It all starts with you and how you
- 26:39Speaker 2: feel about yourself.
- 26:40Speaker 3: That's beautiful.
- 26:42Speaker 1: Ps, don't sabotage your future peace because familiar chaos is comfortable.
- 26:48Speaker 1: Oh that's a good one.
- 26:49Speaker 3: So good.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Guys.
- 26:52Speaker 3: We'll see you on Wednesday.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Yeah, leave us a review if you haven't yet.
- 26:55Speaker 1: Screenshot the episode uploaded to your stories us. We love
- 26:58Speaker 1: seeing you guys upload our stuff.
- 27:00Speaker 2: I know it makes that, ah it does.
- 27:02Speaker 1: Yeah, thanks guys. Bye,
