- 0:00Speaker 1: She's on the Money. She's on the Money.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hello, and welcome to She's on the Money, the podcast
- 0:26Speaker 2: for millennials who want financial freedom. Welcome back to another
- 0:30Speaker 2: one of our Friday Drinks episodes where we get to
- 0:32Speaker 2: celebrate the wins from our She's on the Money community.
- 0:36Speaker 2: As we all know, there are so many great wins
- 0:38Speaker 2: and confessions shed every single week in the She's on
- 0:41Speaker 2: the Money Facebook group, and our team spend a very
- 0:44Speaker 2: significant part of our week, in all of our days
- 0:47Speaker 2: talking about the things that you guys get up to,
- 0:50Speaker 2: So it only feels fair to make that conversation public.
- 0:53Speaker 2: So to kick off this week's Friday Chat, Tony, what
- 0:57Speaker 2: do we get up to? Monday with Money Diries.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Our moneyitarist on Monday, was talking to us about how
- 1:04Speaker 3: she is recovering from a financially abusive relationship with her
- 1:08Speaker 3: mum and how she's kind of come out on the
- 1:11Speaker 3: other side. She's got no debt, she's got like a
- 1:14Speaker 3: huge juicy emergency fund now and she's doing full service
- 1:17Speaker 3: sex work and building herself back up, and she said
- 1:20Speaker 3: that she.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Was loving what she was doing, which was really really.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Cool and really important because it's important to love the
- 1:25Speaker 2: jobs that we have exactly like Jess, who obviously loves
- 1:29Speaker 2: her job. Jess, what did we do on Wednesday?
- 1:32Speaker 5: So Wednesday was a really fun conversation around what happens
- 1:36Speaker 5: if you don't want to buy a house, what happens
- 1:38Speaker 5: if you decide that you want to rent forever. We've
- 1:40Speaker 5: actually had a few dms about this really recently, people
- 1:44Speaker 5: saying that they can't afford to buy where they want
- 1:46Speaker 5: to live, or you know, they don't want to be
- 1:49Speaker 5: tied down to one place for too long and it's
- 1:50Speaker 5: such a big financial commitment. So we spoke about you know,
- 1:55Speaker 5: what your options are, what that might look like, and
- 1:58Speaker 5: also if anyone is interested in renterfesting, we spoke about
- 2:01Speaker 5: that on the Property Playbook as well.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it was actually a very property centric week. I feel,
- 2:06Speaker 2: talking all things renting, buying, selling across the Property Playbook
- 2:10Speaker 2: and she's on the money. I think I want to
- 2:13Speaker 2: go back to talking about shares soon though, Gus.
- 2:17Speaker 5: Give me some superannuations.
- 2:21Speaker 2: There are changes coming in October to the insurance industry
- 2:25Speaker 2: actually that Tony, Jess and I have been talking about
- 2:27Speaker 2: and we'll probably do an entire pod on but like, yeah,
- 2:29Speaker 2: maybe we should change the conversation away from property, because
- 2:32Speaker 2: I'm telling you right now, as much as property is
- 2:34Speaker 2: very exciting, do you know what's more sexy? Superannuation?
- 2:37Speaker 4: It's true gets me going every time we talk about
- 2:40Speaker 4: I'm like, oh, super.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Literally the best. But talking about the best, Let's go
- 2:45Speaker 2: back to our community and ask Brian what his favorite
- 2:48Speaker 2: posts in the She's on the Money community were this week?
- 2:51Speaker 6: All right, well, last week we were discussing hard rubbish.
- 2:55Speaker 4: Wee it was so good.
- 2:56Speaker 7: Red whis that was so good? Hop No, it's a
- 2:59Speaker 7: real great read. I recommend it. I'll get to them
- 3:02Speaker 7: in a sec, but just quickly. A few money wins. Irene,
- 3:04Speaker 7: for the first pay cycle in a long time, didn't
- 3:07Speaker 7: transfer money from her savings back to her every account
- 3:10Speaker 7: the first time in years. She said, the extra fifty
- 3:13Speaker 7: dollars she put into her additional savings, so she is up.
- 3:16Speaker 6: Well done, Irene, great job by Rain.
- 3:18Speaker 3: It's such an easy thing to do. You're like, oh,
- 3:21Speaker 3: just a little bit off the top. I'll pay myself
- 3:22Speaker 3: back next week.
- 3:23Speaker 6: But I never do, you really never do.
- 3:26Speaker 7: Now, this is a pretty big one. It might not
- 3:28Speaker 7: seem like a big one, but I reckon this is huge.
- 3:31Speaker 7: Ash says, after spending the last four years at home
- 3:34Speaker 7: raising my child, I'm this week returning back to work
- 3:37Speaker 7: for the first time since giving birth.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So exciting. That is so exciting. Congratulations. I wish i'd
- 3:44Speaker 2: cottoned on to what you were saying earlier, though, Brian,
- 3:46Speaker 2: because I thought you said she had spent four years
- 3:48Speaker 2: at home erasing her child, not raising her child. So
- 3:52Speaker 2: I had to hear the rest of that comment to
- 3:54Speaker 2: really get the contest in order.
- 3:56Speaker 6: Well, maybe that's why she's got time to go back
- 3:58Speaker 6: to work now. She doesn't have a child. She just
- 4:00Speaker 6: rubbed it out. She's incredibly nervous. But good luck, Ash, Oh.
- 4:03Speaker 2: My gosh, duck on water. You will be fine, all right.
- 4:08Speaker 7: And Laura, here's a great money win, which I'm guessing
- 4:10Speaker 7: Jess might have done some work in the background.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Laura says, money win.
- 4:14Speaker 7: I won the bloody roomba boom. I get to remove
- 4:20Speaker 7: that from my want to buy list. It's a money win,
- 4:23Speaker 7: but also an energy and time win. I cannot wait
- 4:26Speaker 7: for it to arrive.
- 4:27Speaker 4: It's so I.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Can't tell you, Oh my gosh. Like, as you guys know,
- 4:31Speaker 2: I have named mine Jeeves, and now Jeeves has been
- 4:35Speaker 2: set up for a significant period of time. He's mapped
- 4:38Speaker 2: my whole house, so I can send him to specific locations.
- 4:41Speaker 2: But better, I've worked out how to turn him on
- 4:44Speaker 2: every morning, so it's like I turned on the vacuum
- 4:46Speaker 2: and I've vacuumed the house before i even get out
- 4:49Speaker 2: of bed. It's don't tell me I'm not productive in lockdown.
- 4:53Speaker 5: It's so fun giving people stuff. Can I just say,
- 4:57Speaker 5: Like I was talking to Laura when she won the
- 4:59Speaker 5: room bar. She was literally in cold. She sent us
- 5:01Speaker 5: a voice memo. She's like, I'm just holding an avocado.
- 5:05Speaker 2: It was so funny.
- 5:07Speaker 5: But we put up a post this week because it's
- 5:10Speaker 5: really fun giving back and we wouldn't have anything without
- 5:13Speaker 5: the support of you guys, and we want to put
- 5:15Speaker 5: together more really fun giveaways, particularly at a certain time
- 5:18Speaker 5: of year when gift giving is very prominent.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Now that's about So.
- 5:22Speaker 5: If there's anybody that you guys would really love to
- 5:25Speaker 5: see us work with, or anybody that would you know,
- 5:28Speaker 5: if you would to win a prize from them, would
- 5:30Speaker 5: make your day, Please go and comment on that post,
- 5:33Speaker 5: because it's comment on that post.
- 5:35Speaker 6: I already have someone's John.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Requested a Tesla. I would like to request that we
- 5:40Speaker 2: partner with Chanelle. I've literally always wanted one of their
- 5:44Speaker 2: black jumbo handbags, completely out of my budget, not the point,
- 5:47Speaker 2: but if I won one, that'd be all right.
- 5:50Speaker 6: It was actually Rhiannon who requested the Tesla. I just
- 5:53Speaker 6: supported her recommendation just to.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Get requesting the Chanelle. I'm just supporting her in that request.
- 6:01Speaker 7: And Emily Jade has requested a date with Ryan John,
- 6:03Speaker 7: So good luck to Emily.
- 6:05Speaker 5: I said something you wanted.
- 6:07Speaker 7: The collective look on all three of your faces have discussed.
- 6:11Speaker 6: Can someone just show some sort of support, Like.
- 6:13Speaker 2: When someone says they think your brother's hot. I'm assuming
- 6:16Speaker 2: that's what that's like. You're like, ooh, why would you
- 6:19Speaker 2: know that would know?
- 6:20Speaker 7: I'm from a orphanage. All right, let's get to the
- 6:23Speaker 7: hard rubbish wins. Now, are you guys on slack by
- 6:26Speaker 7: the way, yeah, can you just jump on the shoes
- 6:28Speaker 7: on the money slack?
- 6:29Speaker 6: All right, jump into the I just posted a photo
- 6:32Speaker 6: to us.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Yeah, of a whole heap of random chairs.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Yes, okay, So how many chairs do you reckonize?
- 6:37Speaker 2: Four twelve, sixteen, Oh, probably like thirty seven, thirty eight.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Maybe all right, So Jennifer's hard rubbish win. She said,
- 6:47Speaker 7: I really love the wooden chair mishmash look. So for
- 6:50Speaker 7: our wedding last year, I found all these different chairs
- 6:53Speaker 7: on roadside pickups. I drove around for weeks collecting them all,
- 6:56Speaker 7: and that's them there. So the total seating cost was
- 6:59Speaker 7: just ten dollars because I had to buy a few
- 7:01Speaker 7: screws to fix some mobbly ones.
- 7:02Speaker 6: But she found all of those chairs and.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Chairs.
- 7:08Speaker 5: It looks really cute too, very like shabby.
- 7:10Speaker 7: Sheet all right, Georgias. Now I both love and hate
- 7:14Speaker 7: that this has become a thing. But Georgia said, she's
- 7:16Speaker 7: been manifesting a green velvet couch for years and.
- 7:22Speaker 2: She's the trick is to be specific.
- 7:23Speaker 7: Yeah, and she she finally found this on the side
- 7:27Speaker 7: of the road. She brought some new cushions to kind of,
- 7:30Speaker 7: you know, clean it up and take care of a
- 7:32Speaker 7: few edges and stuff.
- 7:33Speaker 6: Seventy dollars total for the whole thing.
- 7:34Speaker 7: And if you check out that picture, it's so cool,
- 7:37Speaker 7: Like obviously you'd be a certain vibe depending on the
- 7:39Speaker 7: room that it sits in and stuff. But she's been
- 7:41Speaker 7: manifesting it. This is exactly what she wanted and it
- 7:43Speaker 7: looks like a winner, and you.
- 7:45Speaker 5: Could clean something up and it looks like a hundred
- 7:47Speaker 5: bucks one hundred bucks. That's not a million bucks deering.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It was worth one hundred dollars. It depends how good
- 7:54Speaker 2: you are at DIY.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Speaking of DIY, I think we've used this term before,
- 8:00Speaker 7: but I haven't really clicked like the term upcycling.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a term we've heard of this podcast before.
- 8:05Speaker 6: Yeah, all right, have a look in the slack. Now.
- 8:07Speaker 6: This is from Sophie. She found this cabinet.
- 8:10Speaker 2: On the side of it so nice.
- 8:14Speaker 7: So she's sanded it out, put some new doors on it.
- 8:16Speaker 7: Now it's a TV cabinet, but that's an absolute that's.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Really expensive and to be honest, that would not look
- 8:22Speaker 2: out of place in Jessicarii's house.
- 8:26Speaker 5: Really fun fact, I have done almost the exact same
- 8:29Speaker 5: hack to when ikea cabinet and it's literally right next
- 8:33Speaker 5: to me.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it literally.
- 8:40Speaker 5: So I endorsed this di.
- 8:42Speaker 2: I'm actually glad that I know you well enough that
- 8:45Speaker 2: I knew not only endorse it, but have a similar product.
- 8:49Speaker 4: That's so good strong personal branding, Jess, I love it.
- 8:55Speaker 6: All right, Sarah says, I love good hard rubbish finds.
- 8:58Speaker 7: Last week I got two perfect conditions bedside tables and
- 9:01Speaker 7: a stead of drawers.
- 9:03Speaker 6: Yeah, I just needed to dust them off, I managed.
- 9:06Speaker 7: I can't believe so a little while ago I manifested
- 9:08Speaker 7: it and then I drove past and luckily I have
- 9:11Speaker 7: a ute, so collecting these goods is nice and easy.
- 9:14Speaker 6: I see them. I literally just slammed the brakes on
- 9:16Speaker 6: a throat in the back.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Car.
- 9:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:20Speaker 7: So she's got a few things, and she said her
- 9:22Speaker 7: next thing is a big red couch.
- 9:26Speaker 2: I'm manifesting that too. If you actually find a big
- 9:29Speaker 2: red couch, we want to see it, we want photos.
- 9:34Speaker 5: I was going to say that.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Not car, that that's enough.
- 9:40Speaker 7: Couchy enough, that's good all right. So Ruby says, I
- 9:46Speaker 7: found a Papa Son chair. Now I've got a Papa
- 9:49Speaker 7: Son at my house. Love a pas On, which is
- 9:50Speaker 7: like a big how would you describe it? It's like
- 9:52Speaker 7: a half dome.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Almost half dome things.
- 9:57Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, so be found one. Whilst listening to the
- 10:02Speaker 7: Friday Drinks episode. She was out for a walk hearing
- 10:06Speaker 7: us talk about hard rubbish. She's walking down the street
- 10:08Speaker 7: and as she's hearing it, she goes look at that
- 10:10Speaker 7: papa soon. She said she made three thousand dollars last
- 10:18Speaker 7: year selling things she found in hard rubbish as well.
- 10:20Speaker 7: Sometimes she gives them a new code of paint or
- 10:22Speaker 7: sends them back, but it's like a little hobby.
- 10:24Speaker 6: She touches them up. And well, that's impressive. Now.
- 10:28Speaker 7: I know I've made some pretty maybe outrageous claims in
- 10:32Speaker 7: the last month about this is the greatest money win
- 10:34Speaker 7: of the year or stuff like this, but I think
- 10:36Speaker 7: this is the most feel good money win that we've
- 10:40Speaker 7: ever had on she's on the make.
- 10:42Speaker 2: What is it?
- 10:44Speaker 7: This is from Joe Elizabeth, and I'm going to put
- 10:47Speaker 7: out there Joe, you are a bloody legend, mate, Joe said,
- 10:51Speaker 7: I make fifteen thousand dollars a year from hard rubbish
- 10:54Speaker 7: flipping stuff that I find, and I use that money
- 10:57Speaker 7: to fund my homeless kitten and animal cigarettes. Stop it,
- 11:03Speaker 7: stop it, Joe. You didn't stop it? Oh my god,
- 11:07Speaker 7: free money to me. I help people who can't afford
- 11:09Speaker 7: new stuff, and you know, give them some stuff that
- 11:11Speaker 7: looks really great at the cheaper price. It avoids stuff
- 11:13Speaker 7: going into landfill. I spend one afternoon a week going
- 11:16Speaker 7: and finding stuff I turn it around on the weekend
- 11:19Speaker 7: and I make a bit of money. I put it
- 11:21Speaker 7: into something good and I feel like I'm doing some
- 11:23Speaker 7: good in the world.
- 11:23Speaker 6: And our bloody agree. Joe, You're doing a lot of good.
- 11:26Speaker 6: That is unbelievable, love human.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Wish I was that good a person.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Oh you just stop.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I'm the one throwing the.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Stuff out unfortunately, Yeah, jos strategy, it's not worth their
- 11:41Speaker 3: time to be fine.
- 11:43Speaker 7: Joe Elizabeth says, my strategy is to hang out in
- 11:45Speaker 7: the front of Tony's house.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Stop giving your strategy away. You won't make fifteen grand
- 11:51Speaker 2: next year.
- 11:52Speaker 3: I walk out my past door the like thirty people
- 11:55Speaker 3: standing you got there like seagulls waiting for a chip.
- 11:59Speaker 7: They are our money, our hard rubbish wins. And there's
- 12:03Speaker 7: only a few of them. They're thread Genuinely, it went on.
- 12:06Speaker 7: So it's so good. Go and say that she's on
- 12:08Speaker 7: the money Facebook group. You'll see the thread in there.
- 12:10Speaker 7: There's a lot of fun that you had, a lot
- 12:12Speaker 7: of people are posting photos and stuff as well, So
- 12:13Speaker 7: if you want to have a look at some of
- 12:14Speaker 7: the things we've mentioned, go check it out.
- 12:21Speaker 2: So jumping back into the episode, we are going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: be talking about the wins from our team, Tony, I
- 12:28Speaker 2: want to know what money win you want to share
- 12:30Speaker 2: with the community this week.
- 12:32Speaker 4: Guys.
- 12:32Speaker 3: I have a really fun and dumb win this week,
- 12:37Speaker 3: So I've got the I always wear white runners, which
- 12:41Speaker 3: most people wouldn't.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Know, but I do always wear white runners.
- 12:45Speaker 3: And my very favorite type of white runners are like
- 12:48Speaker 3: the one the supercar ones with like the high platform
- 12:51Speaker 3: on the bottom.
- 12:52Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and your fancy you always have really cute
- 12:55Speaker 2: sneakis on.
- 12:56Speaker 3: They're just always white because they just elevate everything sneak
- 13:00Speaker 3: that it's it just does something to me.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Just I don't know if this is pushing off your
- 13:05Speaker 2: money win. But you do have those fancy Vega ones too,
- 13:08Speaker 2: Is it Veja Veja whatever you say?
- 13:10Speaker 4: Well, I always think it's Vasa, but I actually don't know.
- 13:13Speaker 3: But remember that was one of my first money wins
- 13:15Speaker 3: because they were supposed to be like two hundred dollars
- 13:17Speaker 3: and I got them flat one hundred and ten.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I reckon your cost per wear on those is epic.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Now it's oh, I'm making money that paying they're paying dividends, right,
- 13:27Speaker 3: So I found I got this email from Platypus today
- 13:31Speaker 3: that the Supergar sneaker is that I normally buy like
- 13:33Speaker 3: one hundred and eighty dollars and I got them for
- 13:35Speaker 3: eighty five dollars.
- 13:36Speaker 2: What that's a good money, wir Yep, yep.
- 13:40Speaker 4: So I'm very very happy with that.
- 13:41Speaker 3: So just have to wait three weeks for them to
- 13:43Speaker 3: get here by post while.
- 13:47Speaker 4: But it'll be.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Not me over here being like supergar? Does she mean
- 13:52Speaker 2: super Ga? I live under a rock?
- 13:54Speaker 4: Oh? Is that what they're called?
- 13:55Speaker 6: No?
- 13:56Speaker 2: No, no, no no, they're probably like, you're correct, I
- 13:59Speaker 2: am not cool. I just see all the cool girls
- 14:01Speaker 2: on Instagram wearing those and look at them, and I'm like,
- 14:04Speaker 2: maybe I could one day be a cool girl.
- 14:06Speaker 4: It probably is super Ga, you know, I just thought
- 14:09Speaker 4: it was supercar word, so Supergar. I feel like Superga.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I'm just slide into their dams and ask them.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Yeah, if anybody knows, message us at the ses on
- 14:17Speaker 3: the money Instagram, let.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Us know how to how to say brand name please.
- 14:22Speaker 2: You just feel like we're not on trend.
- 14:23Speaker 4: With that, But ve do you have a more substantial
- 14:27Speaker 4: win than that I do?
- 14:29Speaker 2: But this is very domestic. Obviously. A couple of weeks ago,
- 14:32Speaker 2: I got a robot vacuum, which I'm quite clearly over
- 14:35Speaker 2: the moon about. And the next step in my domestic
- 14:38Speaker 2: goddess journey is getting curtains for my house. How exciting
- 14:43Speaker 2: trap yourself in this story is a cliffhanger. So I
- 14:48Speaker 2: went and got a quote to have my whole house
- 14:50Speaker 2: done in those beautiful sheer blinds. Right, Like, my house
- 14:53Speaker 2: isn't actually that big, So I've got like two rooms
- 14:56Speaker 2: at the front of the house and the big open
- 14:58Speaker 2: plan kind of like shears at the back, and my study.
- 15:02Speaker 2: So it was going to be thousands of dollars to
- 15:04Speaker 2: get these years. Little did I know that they're actually
- 15:07Speaker 2: really expensive, and so I'd kind of just reserved myself
- 15:11Speaker 2: to the fact that no, maybe I just won't get
- 15:12Speaker 2: them at home, not yet, not until, like you know,
- 15:15Speaker 2: I'm a bit older and have a bit older Yeah,
- 15:19Speaker 2: Like you know, I still feel like even the way
- 15:21Speaker 2: I'm thirty, I still need to grow up. Like when
- 15:24Speaker 2: we used to look at people and be like thirty,
- 15:26Speaker 2: she's ancient, And now I'm like thirty, How are people
- 15:30Speaker 2: letting me be responsible for anything? Like I shouldn't even
- 15:33Speaker 2: have my kettle license yet, Like I don't know anyway,
- 15:36Speaker 2: I never got my pen license.
- 15:37Speaker 6: On that note, what about joining license?
- 15:40Speaker 2: What's a joining license?
- 15:43Speaker 6: Yeah, like when your letters can join the next letter.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I'm a left hander, and it's actually a really sore
- 15:47Speaker 2: point for me. I literally never got my pen license.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I was still on pencil until the end of grade three,
- 15:53Speaker 2: and then by grade four I didn't have a pen license.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I was illegally using big pence.
- 15:58Speaker 4: My god, I'm going to call someone about that.
- 16:01Speaker 2: Please don't call my grade three teacher, mister Snee. He'll
- 16:03Speaker 2: have something to say about that. But back on track,
- 16:06Speaker 2: My curtains were going to cost a lot of money,
- 16:09Speaker 2: and I'd reserved myself to not do that. And I
- 16:12Speaker 2: actually found a whole heap of really cheap curtains. This
- 16:15Speaker 2: is not sponsored FAI, just on freedom that you can
- 16:18Speaker 2: install yourself that look exactly the same. And I'm literally
- 16:22Speaker 2: paying less than a quarter of the price to install
- 16:24Speaker 2: them myself. And with all the time I have in lockdown,
- 16:28Speaker 2: instead of waiting eight weeks like the Fancy Curtain Place
- 16:31Speaker 2: website said it was going to be, it's going to
- 16:33Speaker 2: be here really soon and over the weekend, I can
- 16:35Speaker 2: install my own curtains.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Oh great, And then you contract DIY relationship counseling when
- 16:40Speaker 3: you break up because you did the DIY.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Can yeah, and like it will actually give us something
- 16:46Speaker 2: to argue about that isn't what we're going to have
- 16:48Speaker 2: for dinner? Yeah?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Or what you're watching on yeah?
- 16:51Speaker 2: Or do we really want to watch another episode of suits?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Like I don't know.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Yeskia is really good as well for like real affordable
- 17:00Speaker 5: sheer curtains And if you're in a rental like me.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Pro tip if you have blinds or something, you can
- 17:06Speaker 5: just get like a pressure rod which literally holds itself
- 17:09Speaker 5: up using gravity. You don't have to drill in or anything.
- 17:11Speaker 6: And yeah, is gravity the word? Do you want to
- 17:14Speaker 6: stick with?
- 17:15Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Do you want to lock that one?
- 17:17Speaker 6: In?
- 17:17Speaker 5: Eddie science makes it stay up and not full down?
- 17:22Speaker 2: Even comes to your house and he says, stay up,
- 17:25Speaker 2: stay up. Curtains somehow they stay up.
- 17:29Speaker 5: They don't damage the walls, and you can put beautiful
- 17:31Speaker 5: curtains up and have your.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Lovely shares for a really affordable price like that. I
- 17:37Speaker 2: one day am gonna hire Jessic She to be the
- 17:40Speaker 2: interior designer at my house because honestly, you guys are.
- 17:45Speaker 6: In her hand haven't you sort of already done that
- 17:47Speaker 6: kind of.
- 17:49Speaker 2: Officially, I do actually consult her before I make any
- 17:52Speaker 2: big purchase nowadays, like ask Jess. When I was ordering
- 17:55Speaker 2: these curtains, I was like, now, is this the right color?
- 17:58Speaker 2: Just like I literally don't know, but.
- 18:00Speaker 4: Sure, well, just is that your money win?
- 18:03Speaker 3: That Victoria has hired you for a different other another
- 18:06Speaker 3: job or.
- 18:08Speaker 5: No mine is also something I purchased, but it comes
- 18:11Speaker 5: with a little life hack, so we know. I love
- 18:13Speaker 5: a deepop win. I bought a pair of Lulu Lemon leggings.
- 18:18Speaker 5: My favorites are the Alliance. They're buttery soft. They are
- 18:20Speaker 5: one hundred and twenty dollars if you buy them for price.
- 18:24Speaker 5: I found a pair on deep Hop for forty five dollars.
- 18:27Speaker 5: They are familiar with it's a money win. But if
- 18:29Speaker 5: you're familiar with Lulu, they do different leg lengths so
- 18:33Speaker 5: that you know your taller gals, your shorter girls, everybody
- 18:36Speaker 5: get Yeah, they do different lengths for different people. And
- 18:39Speaker 5: the leggings that I purchased are too long for me,
- 18:42Speaker 5: but I was doing some googling to get them hemmed.
- 18:45Speaker 5: Lululemon does free hemming in store. You don't it doesn't
- 18:50Speaker 5: have to be at the time of purchase, and you
- 18:52Speaker 5: don't have to show a receipt.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You just turn up.
- 18:54Speaker 5: So I bought these leggings really affordably. They were my size,
- 18:57Speaker 5: but too long.
- 18:58Speaker 2: I'm going to take them.
- 18:58Speaker 5: They're gonna hem them up to the per pick length
- 19:00Speaker 5: and it's not going to cost me a.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Dollar, which is such a good money win, impeccable, so amazing.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Ryan, do you have a win from Lula Lemon?
- 19:09Speaker 7: You actually say that, but there are some unbelievable men's
- 19:13Speaker 7: items in Lulu Lemon.
- 19:14Speaker 2: I know that sounds like it's not Actually he was
- 19:16Speaker 2: obsessed with Lulu Lemon.
- 19:17Speaker 6: Yeah, they're actually great.
- 19:19Speaker 2: And until you've actually tried them, or until your male
- 19:22Speaker 2: friends or people who wear males clothing tries them, I
- 19:26Speaker 2: promise you they will always pick fun at you for
- 19:30Speaker 2: spending too much on leggings and too much on Lululemon
- 19:32Speaker 2: stuff until they try it themselves. And now my boyfriend
- 19:35Speaker 2: is addicted to Lululemon. It's so expensive, but I promise
- 19:39Speaker 2: you the quality.
- 19:41Speaker 7: Supreme, supreme, my money win until I get into the
- 19:47Speaker 7: Lululemon is.
- 19:48Speaker 6: I think I mentioned a few weeks ago that I
- 19:50Speaker 6: sold my car.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Yes, so a bridget and I went from being a
- 19:54Speaker 7: two car family to one car family because we just
- 19:56Speaker 7: didn't need it.
- 19:57Speaker 2: And it's so economical. I'm so proud of thank you
- 20:00Speaker 2: doing it for the impact and the cloud.
- 20:03Speaker 7: It actually is not just like the petrol and the
- 20:06Speaker 7: money I got from selling my car, but the insurance,
- 20:08Speaker 7: the red Joe, like all those other things. It's going
- 20:11Speaker 7: really really impressive. So I am now getting to work
- 20:15Speaker 7: using those uber bikes. Have you seen those uber bikes
- 20:18Speaker 7: in the sea, Like you scan them with the QR code.
- 20:20Speaker 4: And you literally just get on and they have the
- 20:21Speaker 4: blue ones.
- 20:23Speaker 7: No, they're like they're really bright, obnoxious red orange sort of.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Vibe, and they're not about your helmet.
- 20:30Speaker 7: There's a helmet attached and it's all locked in so
- 20:31Speaker 7: as soon as you scan the QR code, it unlocks.
- 20:34Speaker 7: It's got this little thing and then you grab the
- 20:35Speaker 7: helmet chuck it on. And I've had friends who have
- 20:38Speaker 7: had bikes stolen. I've had friends that are like, oh,
- 20:41Speaker 7: my bike's broken, I have to go and take and
- 20:43Speaker 7: get a service. The ability to just ride it and
- 20:46Speaker 7: just literally leave it on the side of the road
- 20:48Speaker 7: is a very nice luxury. And for me to get
- 20:50Speaker 7: to work on average has cost between about two dollars
- 20:54Speaker 7: ninety to three dollars eighty.
- 20:56Speaker 2: Hey, that's pretty.
- 20:57Speaker 5: Good, but I'm confessed that's less than a public trend
- 21:00Speaker 5: port fair Like.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm confused about the accessibility of these things.
- 21:04Speaker 7: Well, they're only in I guess inner suburbs. I live
- 21:07Speaker 7: in Richmond, and so when I get up in the morning,
- 21:10Speaker 7: I open the app and it's sort of oh, it.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Tells you where a bike. I was going to say,
- 21:14Speaker 2: how do you know where the bike is going to be?
- 21:16Speaker 2: How do you finish work? And then be like, oh,
- 21:18Speaker 2: I'm going to get a bike, Like is it where
- 21:20Speaker 2: you left it? Or did somebody else come and get it.
- 21:22Speaker 2: I'm just I don't understand.
- 21:24Speaker 7: Yeah, So I go on the app and it shows
- 21:26Speaker 7: you that the ones closest to you, and then you
- 21:28Speaker 7: can like press on it and like sort of bags
- 21:29Speaker 7: it for ten minutes.
- 21:30Speaker 6: Why you walk to jump on it sort of thing.
- 21:32Speaker 7: However, I've literally been riding home and leaving it on
- 21:35Speaker 7: the front, like on the footpath at the front of
- 21:38Speaker 7: my house, and ninety nine percent of the time it's
- 21:40Speaker 7: the same one there. And I walk out in the morning,
- 21:42Speaker 7: So it's super easy because there's so many of them,
- 21:45Speaker 7: and that saved me a fortune, Like I said, literally
- 21:49Speaker 7: sold a car all the on road costs and it
- 21:50Speaker 7: cost a couple of dollars a day.
- 21:52Speaker 6: Huge win.
- 21:53Speaker 3: And they're like an assisted bike as well, so they're
- 21:55Speaker 3: not as hard to ride, like it's not as if
- 21:58Speaker 3: you're jumping on a BEARX and you know, I'm really different.
- 22:01Speaker 4: And then you rock up to work and you're sweating
- 22:03Speaker 4: meag You've just ridden your bike.
- 22:06Speaker 6: I still don't know what the deal.
- 22:08Speaker 7: Is electrics, but you can't hear it like it's so
- 22:12Speaker 7: you literally do two rotations and you like arrive at
- 22:15Speaker 7: your destination and I don't know how. And I didn't
- 22:18Speaker 7: actually realize that until I wrote it the first time
- 22:20Speaker 7: and someone at work was like, oh.
- 22:22Speaker 6: Good on, you're getting your exercise every day.
- 22:24Speaker 2: And I was like, take it, run, take it twenty
- 22:26Speaker 2: you have exercise.
- 22:27Speaker 6: Just a really active guy.
- 22:29Speaker 2: That would be me until you told me they were electric.
- 22:32Speaker 2: I was like, that's not for me. That's not my vibe.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But I can refresh and refreshed and tell everybody that
- 22:38Speaker 2: I rode the bike. Note.
- 22:41Speaker 7: Yeah, so it's really weird. A few rotations and it
- 22:43Speaker 7: just goes. So I don't know how it works. Battery
- 22:45Speaker 7: inside it somewhere or some solar thing. It makes no
- 22:48Speaker 7: sense to my simple it's.
- 22:49Speaker 5: Charged when you get all that's actually like, yeah, potentially
- 22:53Speaker 5: like a wind turbine or something.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Like kinetic energy, like how watches have that? Like when
- 22:58Speaker 3: you move your rec If I.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Don't put my for a while, it's always the wrong time.
- 23:02Speaker 7: If anyone knows the answers, please post it in the
- 23:04Speaker 7: Facebook group, because I ride it twice a day and
- 23:06Speaker 7: I have no idea how work.
- 23:07Speaker 2: I mean, a simple Google will probably answer that question,
- 23:10Speaker 2: but we could also ask jest. You'll probably say the
- 23:12Speaker 2: answer is gravity.
- 23:14Speaker 7: How Yeah, I'm just happy to get to work for
- 23:18Speaker 7: two dollars ninety Yeah, it doesn't really map.
- 23:19Speaker 2: That's a pretty good money win.
- 23:21Speaker 4: That's really like that.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I really really like that. I think that is good.
- 23:24Speaker 2: But Ryan, I think that is more than enough. On
- 23:26Speaker 2: how you ride bikes and tell everybody about it, and
- 23:29Speaker 2: you're like a one car household and like to brag
- 23:32Speaker 2: about it, so we.
- 23:34Speaker 5: Are better than everyone else.
- 23:35Speaker 2: He knows he's better than everybody else. So we are
- 23:38Speaker 2: going to wrap it there, my friends. But as always,
- 23:42Speaker 2: just before we head off, we'd like to acknowledge and
