Day seven of Chad Daybell’s trial began with defense attorney John Prior continuing his cross-examination of Melanie Gibb, attempting to undermine her credibility and separate Chad from some of Lori Vallow’s actions. Prior pressed Gibb about inconsistencies in her memory, her admitted lie to police about having JJ Vallow, and the fact that investigators had never taken possession of her phone, emails or social-media accounts. He also questioned her involvement in fringe religious beliefs involving portals, previous lives and the casting out of dark spirits, apparently trying to show jurors…
