- 0:05Welcome to The Hypnotist, the show that gives you inside
- 0:09access to cutting edge hypnosis with real clients facing genuine
- 0:13issues. Brought to you by the
- 0:14Hypnotherapist, Demanded by celebrities, CEOs and even
- 0:18royalty Adam Cox. These recordings took place live
- 0:22from Evans Clinic in London's world famous Harley Street.
- 0:29So get yourself comfortable and enjoy today's episode of The
- 0:33Hypnotist. Hi, it's Adam here and you're
- 0:41about to listen. To a hypnosis.
- 0:43Session all about IBS relief but also anxiety.
- 0:48Relief. And I was working with a.
- 0:50Client that had. Symptoms of IBS so kind of pain,
- 0:54discomfort, issues with the gut and the digestive.
- 0:58System. And that was creating the idea
- 1:00of limitations and they had certain.
- 1:04Thoughts. About making their life smaller.
- 1:07And doing less even though when they.
- 1:10Were at their most adventurous and this client was an
- 1:14entrepreneur they had taken on. Risk without.
- 1:18Knowing if it was going to work out and when they were in that
- 1:21mindset, they had a very resourceful feeling.
- 1:25So this is about activating A resourceful feeling, easing the.
- 1:30Symptoms of IBS. And.
- 1:32Actually helping them to feel more resourceful and more
- 1:35confident about their future and in particular the kind of future
- 1:39that they wanted. That would be compelling.
- 1:42So a new house, a new life, a new quality of health and
- 1:46vitality is all for them. Now, if you have IBS, it's worth
- 1:50knowing that IBS is one of the. Things that.
- 1:53The UK regulatory body that gives permission for doctors and
- 1:58pharmacies to issue medication. They actually recommend
- 2:01hypnotherapy for IBS. So if you have symptoms of IBS,
- 2:05hopefully this session will be. Useful for you.
- 2:08But just be aware that some of the.
- 2:09Suggestions are only. Going to be relevant to the
- 2:12client that I was. Working with and not.
- 2:14Necessarily relevant to you, so if you like the idea of using
- 2:19hypnotherapy for IBS or to reduce anxiety, there will be a
- 2:23link in the description where you can schedule a free.
- 2:26Consultation call. To explore working with me.
- 2:29For now though, find a quiet, comfortable place where you
- 2:32won't be disturbed. Relax and enjoy.
- 2:34The session. Take a deep breath in and on the
- 3:04outward breath, allow your eyelids to close as you release
- 3:09any feelings of tension. Breathing in, relaxation and
- 3:17exhaling. Any stress, any worries, That's
- 3:23it. As you breathe in, imagine
- 3:27breathing in healing white light, breathing in that healing
- 3:34white light. And as you exhale, just imagine
- 3:42any emotions that could be playing a role in any lack of
- 3:48energy, any anxiety, any physiological symptoms.
- 3:56Just get a sense that that is leaving your body.
- 4:00As you exhale, breathe in that healing white line.
- 4:06Make it as bright as you can. And as you exhale, imagine
- 4:11something dark or shadowy leaving your body, giving you a
- 4:17sense that you're breathing in what you need and exhaling
- 4:25anything that might be making you feel a way you don't want to
- 4:31feel anymore. And the deeper you breathe, the
- 4:41more relaxed you feel. Allow your diaphragm to be
- 4:48activated, breathing from your belly rather than your chest.
- 4:58And you might notice the rhythm of your breathing, rising and
- 5:04falling, breathing in that healing white light, exhaling
- 5:12any tension or limitations, as though each exhale carries away
- 5:21any tightness, overthinking any worries or fears.
- 5:30That's it. As you begin to drift further
- 5:35inward and downward into a place of calm curiosity.
- 5:48Because you've been here before. You've been to that space where
- 5:53your mind becomes focused, creative and resourceful, and
- 6:02even as your body rests, your subconscious begins to awaken
- 6:11and maybe it's ready to remember who you really are and what
- 6:18you're capable of. You are not any symptoms and you
- 6:25are not any situations. Feel that you are reawakening
- 6:34who you really are, ambitious, tenacious, enthusiastic.
- 6:46And I want you to imagine, I want you to imagine swimming in
- 6:52a warm stream, no rocks, completely safe.
- 6:59And this stream winds down the side of a hill.
- 7:05And as I countdown from 12:50, you will imagine while swimming
- 7:09down that warm stream that you're drifting into a deep,
- 7:15relaxing place where change happens. 10 Starting to swim
- 7:22now, feeling your shoulders drop and nine your stomach softening
- 7:29and relaxing. 8 your thoughts slowing down, seven, drifting,
- 7:39swimming, floating deeper. And six, into that peaceful flow
- 7:46of breath. And five, halfway down the hill
- 7:52in that stream, imagine your nervous system resetting.
- 7:59That's it for feeling calm. Waves of relaxation through your
- 8:05belly and your chest continuing to drift down in that stream.
- 8:13Three, lighter now 2. Drifting into serenity and one
- 8:22arriving at the deepest state of calm awareness.
- 8:28And I want you to imagine that the stream ends in a warm pool,
- 8:38like Hot Springs coming up from beneath.
- 8:43And I want you to consider this warm pool filled with minerals
- 8:49that are rejuvenating, that calm your nervous system, that
- 8:57reactivate feelings of health. And maybe you've spent time in a
- 9:04warm, natural spring before. And if so, allow those memories
- 9:09to remind you of how that feels. Or maybe you can just imagine
- 9:16it. How did nature and the blue
- 9:19skies, fresh clean air there in that relaxing pool of
- 9:28rejuvenation? And while you're in that pool, I
- 9:33want you to think of just one thing in your life that you're
- 9:38truly grateful for. Maybe it's something about your
- 9:47health that is in optimal health, and you're grateful for
- 9:52that. Maybe it's the feeling of
- 9:57security or freedom you have based on years of hard work.
- 10:05Maybe you're grateful for your mind, your intelligence, your
- 10:12cognitive capabilities. Maybe it's something else, but
- 10:21as you think of that singular thing to be grateful for, notice
- 10:27the feeling of gratitude within your body.
- 10:31Some people feel it in their heart or somewhere else in their
- 10:36chest or somewhere else. Imagine that warm glowing
- 10:44feeling of gratitude, and I want you to imagine that warm glowing
- 10:53feeling of gratitude as the ability to melt away anxieties
- 11:00and worries in the same way that a natural fireplace would
- 11:08naturally melt away any ice or snow nearby.
- 11:16Feel the gratitude, make it warmer, glow brighter, and
- 11:22imagine that glowing sensation going down into your gut.
- 11:27Some people consider the gut a second brain, and I wonder what
- 11:32would happen if any anxieties and worries there in your gut
- 11:38were thawing and melting away from that warm glow of
- 11:42gratitude. And as that sensation in the gut
- 11:49subsides and the gratitude glows even brighter, just imagine your
- 11:59nervous system recalibrating, that your vagus nerve is
- 12:06enabling your whole body to calm down, that that vigilance and
- 12:14worries are being replaced with gratitude and acceptance of hope
- 12:22and optimistic positivity. And let's shift that glowing
- 12:29warm golden light from wherever it is for gratitude down into
- 12:36the center of your abdomen and allow it to represent peace,
- 12:43balance, and harmony within your body.
- 12:49Each breath feeds that light, allowing it to spread through
- 12:55your stomach, your intestines, your solar plexus, but also
- 13:01relaxing the muscles, soothing the nerves, sending your
- 13:09unconscious and your physical body a message that you are safe
- 13:17and you don't have to fight or control what happens inside your
- 13:20body. Because calm isn't created
- 13:24through force, it's created through trust.
- 13:33And your gut in mind are in conversation.
- 13:38And as your mind becomes calm and confident, your body listens
- 13:44and responds. And the more peace you create in
- 13:49your thoughts, the more harmony you feel within your body.
- 13:59And now just imagine those moments when your mind used to
- 14:08jump ahead to all the what ifs, the worst case scenarios, the
- 14:14tiny details magnified out of all proportion.
- 14:22And I wonder if you can see those thoughts as soap bubbles
- 14:27drifting through the air, fragile, transparent, dissolving
- 14:35easily when touched by light. And just imagine that each time
- 14:41you breathe out, another bubble bursts.
- 14:48Anxiety and worries and what ifs burst like fragile bubbles.
- 14:52And what's left is clarity. Because you already know what
- 15:00it's like to live differently. Think of the business you've
- 15:04built. You didn't do that by avoiding
- 15:09risk, but by trusting yourself, by taking actions and learning
- 15:17from any failures or setbacks. You believe that problems can be
- 15:24solved not in advance, but as they appeared.
- 15:32And maybe you thrived when you allowed life to be a creative
- 15:35challenge rather than a threat. But that mindset hasn't gone.
- 15:44That mindset still lives within you.
- 15:48And imagine it waking up again. I want you to think of a time in
- 15:56your past when you had those resources more than any other.
- 16:03Ambition, enthusiasm, confidence, and passion.
- 16:08Imagine that version of you. See the posture, strong, open,
- 16:15upright, and maybe you can even observe how you sounded, the
- 16:22energy in your voice, the sparkle in your eyes.
- 16:28And I want you to step into that version of you and feel that
- 16:33way. Hear that confidence in the
- 16:40inner dialogue, that belief that you'll just find a way to make
- 16:45things work and still feel that soothing, glowing energy there
- 16:54in your heart and your abdomen. A feeling of safety, a feeling
- 17:01of confidence. A feeling of I've got this.
- 17:07Because that state of the past is not gone.
- 17:11It's just waiting for you, waiting to be reactivated to
- 17:17flow again through your nervous system.
- 17:22And as you merge with that version of yourself, when 2
- 17:26separate parts become one, you can feel those qualities
- 17:32blending back into you now. The excitement of possibility,
- 17:40the thrill of creating something meaningful, the deep trust that
- 17:47you'll figure it out as you go. You've harnessed the resources
- 17:56of the past, but now think of the future.
- 18:01There in that warm healing pool. I want you to imagine yourself
- 18:09perhaps six months, a year, maybe 2 years into the future.
- 18:14Imagine it as a three-dimensional hologram.
- 18:20You can see that future, and I wonder if you can see a version
- 18:25of you living a healthy, vibrant life, doing things that give you
- 18:32irrefutable evidence that in your future, your digestion is
- 18:37calm and reliable. That you'll sleep in such a
- 18:43powerful, deep way where you wake up refreshed, where your
- 18:50days begin with gratitude and end with satisfaction.
- 18:57And maybe you can even imagine the kind of home you're living
- 18:59in. Beautiful, serene.
- 19:04Perhaps imagine lots of natural light coming in.
- 19:12And I want you to imagine this is a warm, safe, comforting
- 19:17space. But maybe also imagine a future
- 19:25where you don't need to work for money, but you work because of
- 19:33the stimulation, the challenge and the fulfilment it brings.
- 19:42So see yourself doing work that feels fulfilling and enjoyable,
- 19:49and maybe that's helping entrepreneurs, or maybe it's
- 19:54helping those with needs that would benefit from your time,
- 20:02your energy, your emotion. But I want you to see this is
- 20:09work that is not done just for money.
- 20:15It's work that lights you up and gives you purpose and freedom.
- 20:21And in that. Future scene.
- 20:23Look at your face, maybe see yourself smiling or with a
- 20:30peaceful posture, exuding the quiet confidence of someone who
- 20:36trusts life again. And then step into that future.
- 20:42Feel how it would feel to be living in a home like that,
- 20:47doing work that feels fulfilling, living a life of
- 20:54connection. And imagine perhaps driving from
- 21:01that house to a nearby swimming pool.
- 21:06And imagine doing length after length, giving you more of those
- 21:10endorphins and the dopamine you get when you finish doing
- 21:16however many lengths you desired.
- 21:21You need to imagine a future where you've returned to that
- 21:23healthy balance of vision and trust.
- 21:30A future where you take risks, just not reckless ones.
- 21:35A future where you're grounded but still dreaming, calm and
- 21:40relaxed but still stimulated in all the right ways.
- 21:47And each evening, as you prepare for sleep, your body will
- 21:52remember this calm, your gut will relax, your breathing will
- 21:58deepen, and your mind will quiet all by itself, knowing that
- 22:07there's nothing needed to solve, because sleep becomes your
- 22:12nightly meeting with peace. And any thoughts that seem like
- 22:19there an exaggeration, a catastrophization, a part of
- 22:26your subconscious mind will reign those thoughts in, giving
- 22:33context, nuance, perspective or useful comparisons so that those
- 22:43waves never get so big. And as they subside, calm
- 22:49relaxation returns. And I want you to think of one
- 22:55thought recently that started off small and then
- 22:58catastrophized. And as you think it again, feel
- 23:02more in control, that as it starts to get that way, you can
- 23:08indeed dilute it, rein it in. It never gets a big worry.
- 23:20That's it. And when you feel you've got a
- 23:22glimpse of a wonderful future, let me know by nodding your
- 23:25head. That's it.
- 23:30And I want you to imagine what it would feel like to find a bed
- 23:38in that future house. Imagine it's approaching
- 23:45evening. Imagine putting your head on the
- 23:49pillow, your body under the duvet.
- 23:54And I want you to imagine one of two things can happen that very
- 24:01soon as I count, from 1:00 to 10:00, if you desire to awaken,
- 24:06you will awake. But if you desire to drift off
- 24:10into a wonderful deep sleep, you will imagine drifting off into
- 24:16sleep, into your future. A healthy, vibrant future, a
- 24:22fulfilling future, a future of balance and equilibrium.
- 24:31In which case, when I count to 10, you will drift off even
- 24:34deeper into a deep, rejuvenating, healthy sleep,
- 24:41only awakening when it's naturally time to awaken,
- 24:49starting to count 123, 456, 789, and 10.
