  SPEAKER_00: How are you feeling?
• 1:02
SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm feeling good better than you, I think.
• 1:08
  SPEAKER_00: Well, bank holidays.
• 1:09
SPEAKER_00: Bank holidays are so uh just you actually did say what all of your plans were in the last episode.
• 1:17
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_00: And how many of them did you do?
• 1:21
SPEAKER_00: Well, I didn't make it to the house party, but I went to the puppet show, I went for dinner, and then I went to the Hendoo, and the Hendoo finished me off.
• 1:29
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's so fair.
• 1:30
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think.
• 1:32
SPEAKER_02: But you said the puppet show was really good.
• 1:33
SPEAKER_00: It was really cool, yeah.
• 1:34
SPEAKER_00: It was like shadow puppets.
• 1:36
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:36
SPEAKER_00: Never actually seen that before.
• 1:38
  SPEAKER_02: No, neither have I.
• 1:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and they had this band Memory of Speak.
• 1:41
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, they're really, really good, and they were playing in the background of the Shadow Puppets, and they're amazing.
• 1:47
SPEAKER_00: It was really, really cool actually.
• 1:48
  SPEAKER_02: Where was it?
• 1:49
SPEAKER_00: At a Bethnel Green Working Men's Club.
• 1:51
  SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, nice.
• 1:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 1:53
  SPEAKER_02: No, it sounded cool.
• 1:55
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, boring you.
• 1:58
SPEAKER_00: Still, still tired from the from that fortnight ago.
• 2:01
SPEAKER_00: I just yawned and then they would have picked up on that.
• 2:04
  SPEAKER_00: I think they did.
• 2:06
SPEAKER_00: But yeah, I I um I got I got very drunk again at the Hendo, so I was just regaling her with my various anxieties, so that's cool.
• 2:16
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 2:16
SPEAKER_00: Back on the sobriety journey.
• 2:18
  SPEAKER_00: We go again.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_00: Another week, another week back on it.
• 2:22
SPEAKER_00: What did you do this weekend?
• 2:23
  SPEAKER_00: Did you think then?
• 2:24
SPEAKER_02: Did end up having two bottles of wine on Friday, you know, and it's like you just start drinking the like natural white and it just goes down like water.
• 2:32
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you know?
• 2:33
  SPEAKER_00: It's basically appetizer, yeah.
• 2:35
SPEAKER_02: It honestly really is, and also it was hot, so it was just that kind of vibe.
• 2:40
SPEAKER_02: Did a hot Pilates class on Saturday.
• 2:43
  SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_02: And it was so hot.
• 2:46
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 2:47
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you love a hot Pilates class.
• 2:49
SPEAKER_02: They are really good though.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_02: You kind of do like weirdly zone out.
• 2:52
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 2:53
SPEAKER_02: But it was really hot.
• 2:54
SPEAKER_02: Like I was like, this is crazy.
• 2:56
SPEAKER_00: Do you not feel like so sweaty?
• 2:58
SPEAKER_00: There is so much mould in that room.
• 3:02
SPEAKER_02: Um actually never thought about it.
• 3:05
SPEAKER_00: Always all I can think about is like all of the bodily fluids that have been in that room.
• 3:11
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, you definitely you definitely do go in and you look at the mat and you're like, oh god, wait, it's a communal mat.
• 3:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but people spray them down.
• 3:20
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I'm like, there's also the spray they gave us was like the slightest of mists.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_02: I was like, guys, come on.
• 3:29
SPEAKER_02: At least just get like a like anti-back spray at it.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_01: Get some fucking bleach, yeah.
• 3:34
  SPEAKER_02: Please, God.
• 3:35
SPEAKER_02: It was like like such a light mist.
• 3:40
SPEAKER_02: I was like furiously misting my math, it was just disappearing into the air.
• 3:44
  SPEAKER_02: I was like, fucking.
• 3:46
SPEAKER_02: And what else did I do?
• 3:48
SPEAKER_00: What can I ask you a question?
• 3:50
SPEAKER_00: Why do you like the hot versus the normal?
• 3:52
SPEAKER_00: Do you feel like you're getting more calories burnt?
• 3:55
SPEAKER_02: No, I think it's just because you actually don't really burn more calories, but I think it's just the sweating.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_02: And I guess like with like Pilates and yoga, like you don't really sweat that much.
• 4:07
SPEAKER_02: I don't know, it just feels like a detox.
• 4:09
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know exactly what you mean.
• 4:10
SPEAKER_00: I do know what you mean.
• 4:11
SPEAKER_00: I just have a real thing about sweating.
• 4:13
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, then you wouldn't like it.
• 4:15
SPEAKER_02: I wouldn't like it, no, I know you wouldn't not like it.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_02: Let me tell you that.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_00: I don't mind sweating if I'm in the open air.
• 4:21
  SPEAKER_00: So if I'm going for a run, I don't mind sweating.
• 4:23
SPEAKER_00: But if I'm in an enclosed room and I'm writhing around in like 70 people sweat, do you know what I mean?
• 4:29
SPEAKER_00: I'm a bit like, no, thank you.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, that would be quite intense if it's if it was 70 people.
• 4:34
  SPEAKER_02: It's like 10.
• 4:38
SPEAKER_02: But no, it does like I think I just like it because you are literally like a pool of sweat, and I do quite like that.
• 4:45
SPEAKER_00: It's like being in a sauna, yeah.
• 4:47
SPEAKER_00: But you oh, but do you know what as well?
• 4:49
SPEAKER_00: I would get really like angry, like I'd get my preacher.
• 4:53
SPEAKER_02: That's so yeah, so sometimes you can feel a bit prochoved, but I actually didn't on a Saturday.
• 4:57
SPEAKER_02: I felt quite meditative, like kind of zoned out.
• 5:00
SPEAKER_02: Okay, it was quite nice, but I feel like you don't really like a sauna that much.
• 5:05
SPEAKER_02: I don't think you do, but you get like a bit like stress, like stressed.
• 5:10
SPEAKER_00: I was talking to my household Flo about this the other day.
• 5:12
SPEAKER_00: I would always take freezing temperatures over boiling temperatures.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I would always take boiling over freezing.
• 5:19
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, see, that's how we differ.
• 5:20
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 5:23
SPEAKER_00: But like for example, I would rather be in Antarctica than in this core of the earth.
• 5:31
SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
• 5:33
SPEAKER_00: I would I'd rather dive into a sea that was covered in ice than jump into the earth.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_02: If you got offered a trip, one was like a cruise through the Antarctica, yeah, or going to like Brazil close to the equator.
• 5:51
SPEAKER_00: Okay, I'd obviously rather go through Brazil because the ice cruise is really on the piece.
• 5:57
  SPEAKER_00: We see some seals.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_00: Also, I feel like it's giving like Titanic.
• 6:00
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_00: So I mean, like anywhere with an iceberg, yeah, and a boat.
• 6:04
  SPEAKER_00: And a boat.
• 6:04
  SPEAKER_00: It's a no-go.
• 6:06
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 6:08
SPEAKER_02: You've just proven yourself wrong.
• 6:09
SPEAKER_02: So any other goths here?
• 6:11
SPEAKER_02: I have been addicted to Pinterest recently.
• 6:14
  SPEAKER_02: Good gosh.
• 6:16
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know why.
• 6:17
SPEAKER_02: I think it's because Instagram makes you feel bad.
• 6:21
  SPEAKER_02: Yep.
• 6:22
SPEAKER_02: TikTok, I do like because it's kind of just like random shit on there, but you do just end up scrolling so much, and then 20 minutes has passed, and you're like, that was such a waste of my time.
• 6:32
SPEAKER_02: And Pinterest, I feel like kind of gives me like a bit of a serotonin bump, but is nothing negative on there.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_02: They actually came in to do a talk at my work once, and they said that they're the only social media platform that's aspirational and not like negative in any way.
• 6:51
SPEAKER_02: Because it's not, like, all it is is just people pinning stuff that they like, which I kind of enjoy about that.
• 6:58
SPEAKER_00: It always makes me like want to create, like it what makes me want to do better, you know?
• 7:03
SPEAKER_00: Like whether it's like buy a new house or well, a house, or like yeah, make a million pounds, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 7:10
SPEAKER_02: So I've been like weirdly addicted to that recently, just like scrolling it instead of social media, which is quite nice.
• 7:17
SPEAKER_02: I have done that before.
• 7:18
SPEAKER_02: I've like deleted Instagram, I've deleted all social media and like used Pinterest as like my fix.
• 7:23
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 7:24
SPEAKER_02: Do you have a wedding board?
• 7:25
  SPEAKER_00: I do.
• 7:26
SPEAKER_00: I knew you did, so you could just tell by your face.
• 7:31
  SPEAKER_00: What's that?
• 7:32
SPEAKER_02: Well, it had it, I had it, I think I had it at uni, and then I had it just had like guys I fancied on the no actual wedding stuff.
• 7:41
SPEAKER_02: It was like it was when I was really obsessed with Andrew Garve in my Spider-Man era.
• 7:48
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, guys, Hannah had like the most intense parasocial relationship with Andrew Garfield.
• 7:53
SPEAKER_02: I feel like I actually really had some quiet modes, but not even him, just like weird characters, like the Tommy Shelby thing as well got really out of hand.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_00: Um I get the Tommy Shelby thing.
• 8:06
SPEAKER_02: No, the Andrew Garfield thing was really weird.
• 8:08
SPEAKER_02: It was only in Spider-Man.
• 8:10
SPEAKER_02: I then I think because I found out he was British and I was like attainable.
• 8:14
  SPEAKER_02: He was attainable, yeah.
• 8:15
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 8:17
SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, I remember sitting in bed and I got to like page six of YouTube channels of interviews with him, and like you or Lizzie or someone walked in and they were like, You're not well.
• 8:28
SPEAKER_02: Please close that laptop for the love of God.
• 8:31
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, one more interview.
• 8:34
SPEAKER_02: Um, so no, it just had like weird pictures of random men I fancied at the time.
• 8:39
SPEAKER_00: Well, I think I had that weird thing with Callum Turner.
• 8:42
  SPEAKER_02: So yeah, you did.
• 8:44
SPEAKER_02: I don't know what yours turns out more funny though, because like when Andrew Garf was like going out of Emma Stone, I didn't hate Emma Stone.
• 8:51
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 8:51
SPEAKER_02: But yours turns into a real hatred of the women, which is so not okay.
• 8:56
SPEAKER_00: No, it's not it's so not okay, and I'm really trying to reform my ways.
• 8:59
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 9:00
SPEAKER_00: But it's like it's like actually quite scary because do you remember that ages ago I wrote that piece about internet boyfriends?
• 9:05
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, like I am one of those crazy girls.
• 9:07
SPEAKER_00: I just know for a fact that I would be that girl throwing my pants at John Lennon, like that would beat me, like my dirty gusset to the face.
• 9:15
SPEAKER_02: Because like well, you could do that now, but you would just like you could just get paid for doing that, you know, like how people like pay for your like underwear and socks and stuff.
• 9:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but I want specific people to get there.
• 9:26
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, I see.
• 9:28
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be giving them away for free, willy-nilly.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_00: No, but do you remember I had that with Callum Turner?
• 9:34
SPEAKER_00: I think it's because he felt attainable as well, because he was like from South London, some of our friends knew him.
• 9:42
SPEAKER_00: Oh, and do you remember when I matched with him on Raya?
• 9:44
SPEAKER_00: No, but Do you not remember this?
• 9:47
  SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
• 9:48
SPEAKER_00: I matched with him on Raya, and for some reason I had a sick sense that it was him because he didn't have a single picture of his face.
• 9:54
SPEAKER_00: His main picture was of stalk of broccoli.
• 9:57
SPEAKER_02: Wait, so what was his name on it?
• 9:59
SPEAKER_00: I think it was Callum, but I didn't know it was him.
• 10:02
SPEAKER_02: So how did you find out I was?
• 10:03
SPEAKER_00: I just knew it was him for some reason.
• 10:05
SPEAKER_02: So you don't actually know.
• 10:06
  SPEAKER_00: No, no, it was.
• 10:07
SPEAKER_00: I think there was like in there was one picture.
• 10:08
SPEAKER_02: It should have been a piece of broccoli called Callum.
• 10:10
SPEAKER_00: No, I promise you it was him.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_00: There was one picture that was kind of the side of his face or something, but all the others were like really kind of he was obviously trying to be like under the radar, you know.
• 10:19
SPEAKER_00: And then we had a very brief exchange about broccoli.
• 10:22
  SPEAKER_02: Okay.
• 10:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then I think I made a really quite weird joke about vegetables, and then it was completely misspelt, and he never responded.
• 10:30
SPEAKER_00: And then I it was like too.
• 10:32
SPEAKER_02: Well, we know he loves a um a broccoli.
• 10:35
SPEAKER_02: No, someone didn't him and you were meet over because they were were reading the same book.
• 10:40
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god, yeah.
• 10:42
SPEAKER_02: So maybe that's what did it for him.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_02: What the your lack of grammar?
• 10:46
SPEAKER_00: Oh right, I see, I see, I see where we're going with this.
• 10:48
SPEAKER_00: I thought you meant because I didn't like write a novel or something.
• 10:52
SPEAKER_00: Well, the it was so embarrassing because I obviously wrote this really misspelt comment that made no sense.
• 10:57
SPEAKER_02: Anyway, two weeks later Was it just that's me and you's whole tips to each other, just like misspell messages.
• 11:03
SPEAKER_02: But me and Jules are so bad with typos that we now can just decode what each other is saying.
• 11:09
  SPEAKER_02: 100%.
• 11:09
SPEAKER_02: Like it could be a jumbo of letters, and I just know what you mean.
• 11:12
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, 100%.
• 11:13
SPEAKER_02: And like people It is bad though, because I type make so many typos at work.
• 11:17
  SPEAKER_00: Do you?
• 11:17
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:18
SPEAKER_00: Because you just type it out quickly.
• 11:19
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 11:20
  SPEAKER_00: You're a crit typer.
• 11:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 11:21
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you are.
• 11:22
SPEAKER_00: I think it's because you've got quite long fingers.
• 11:24
SPEAKER_00: But um, sorry, back to Callum to the misspelled broccoli joke.
• 11:28
SPEAKER_00: But he didn't reply for two weeks, and then I was really confused as to why he didn't reply.
• 11:32
SPEAKER_00: I didn't think to read my last message.
• 11:35
SPEAKER_00: I saw our friend Maya, good old Maya again back on the board.
• 11:38
  SPEAKER_00: Hello.
• 11:38
SPEAKER_00: Our friend Andy was like, Why do you think that everyone knows who your friends are?
• 11:43
SPEAKER_00: Like talking about them as if they're famous.
• 11:46
  SPEAKER_00: Hey Maya Law.
• 11:47
  SPEAKER_01: Also, everybody.
• 11:49
  SPEAKER_01: Everybody.
• 11:50
SPEAKER_01: So people who were listening do know who Arm Ranks are because it's them.
• 11:53
SPEAKER_02: Literally, my parents and your parents, and that's probably it.
• 11:56
SPEAKER_02: Not even my dad did he go halfway through and then go.
• 12:00
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 12:00
SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, so rude.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_02: He's like, I didn't know what you were talking about.
• 12:03
SPEAKER_02: I was like, fair enough, you're not the demographic.
• 12:05
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, was it Scamander the book?
• 12:07
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 12:09
SPEAKER_02: But he but he was like, go for it, girls.
• 12:11
  SPEAKER_02: Go for it, girls.
• 12:12
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, I love Alan.
• 12:13
SPEAKER_00: Um, sorry, really, really to finish this story off.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_00: I then Maya was like, Text him again about the broccoli.
• 12:21
SPEAKER_01: So terrible advice from her.
• 12:23
  SPEAKER_00: Terrible advice as always.
• 12:25
SPEAKER_00: But then I double messaged a joke about broccoli.
• 12:29
SPEAKER_00: But it's like a slightly different one.
• 12:33
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, it was so bad, and I was so embarrassed that I then deleted Rhea.
• 12:39
SPEAKER_00: And I hoped that because my profile had disappeared, maybe our chatty would have.
• 12:43
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then a week later, even so sad.
• 12:49
SPEAKER_00: Then we saw it at Glass to me.
• 12:50
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember I was like, oh, just piss off anyway.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_00: On that note, um to someone else you're jealous of?
• 13:00
  SPEAKER_02: Zoe Kravitz.
• 13:02
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god, yeah.
• 13:04
SPEAKER_00: Not as jealous of Chia, though.
• 13:05
  SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
• 13:06
SPEAKER_02: Or the brandy, no one knows.
• 13:08
SPEAKER_02: Um Zoe and Harry engaged, she has a little rock on her finger in the latest picks on Demois.
• 13:15
  SPEAKER_02: It's crazy.
• 13:16
  SPEAKER_02: It's actually so big.
• 13:17
  SPEAKER_00: I hope it's insured.
• 13:22
SPEAKER_02: Um so yeah, she's had quite a good roster.
• 13:27
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
• 13:28
SPEAKER_02: I wonder if Harry will be the one that sticks.
• 13:30
SPEAKER_02: She's been engaged three times.
• 13:31
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, she'd be engaged three times and married once or engaged four times.
• 13:37
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know, I think three.
• 13:39
SPEAKER_02: So who should she be engaged to?
• 13:41
SPEAKER_02: She's mar she married someone when she was younger, can't be like, German model or something, and then Channing Tatum and then now Harry.
• 13:54
  SPEAKER_00: Oh right, of course.
• 13:55
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, now Harry.
• 13:56
SPEAKER_00: And then she also went out with Penn Badgley, Dan from Gossip Girl.
• 14:00
  unknown: Did she?
• 14:01
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 14:01
  SPEAKER_00: She's had a good view.
• 14:02
  SPEAKER_00: She's had a really good run.
• 14:05
SPEAKER_00: And fair enough, because she's really bit.
• 14:07
  SPEAKER_00: I mean, she's absolutely stunning.
• 14:09
  SPEAKER_00: She's absolutely stunning.
• 14:12
SPEAKER_00: And I'm really into her wardrobe.
• 14:15
SPEAKER_00: Like I'm kind of into the kind of minimal, quite plain outfits that she's going for these days.
• 14:22
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but also everything just looks really good on.
• 14:23
SPEAKER_00: Oh, she ran out of Michael Fastbender reportedly linked.
• 14:27
  SPEAKER_00: We can't trust that.
• 14:28
SPEAKER_00: It's not a reliable source for us to broadcast.
• 14:31
  SPEAKER_02: I know.
• 14:32
  SPEAKER_02: Um, Carl Gloosman.
• 14:34
SPEAKER_02: Oh god, and uh Drake.
• 14:38
SPEAKER_02: Well, you're going you're going for all the flings.
• 14:41
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, right, sorry.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_02: I'm going for the more substantial relationship.
• 14:46
SPEAKER_00: Um, what do you make of that?
• 14:48
  SPEAKER_02: I'm happy for them.
• 14:49
SPEAKER_00: They're both hot and great.
• 14:52
  SPEAKER_00: Good for them.
• 14:53
SPEAKER_00: And apparently they were friends for like years and years and years.
• 14:55
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, because he's friends with Lenny.
• 14:58
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so they they apparently they met when she was like 17 or something.
• 15:02
  SPEAKER_00: Oh really?
• 15:02
SPEAKER_00: I mean that could be wrong.
• 15:03
SPEAKER_02: Um how old is she?
• 15:05
SPEAKER_02: How old is he now?
• 15:06
SPEAKER_00: Is he our age now?
• 15:07
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's our age, she's 32, and she is, I want to say 37, allegedly.
• 15:15
SPEAKER_00: We're just gonna fact check.
• 15:19
  SPEAKER_00: She's actually 40.
• 15:20
  SPEAKER_00: I know you're right.
• 15:20
  SPEAKER_00: She's 37.
• 15:21
  SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, wow.
• 15:22
SPEAKER_00: Um, she's gonna be 38 in December.
• 15:25
SPEAKER_02: They've not been together for that long, yeah.
• 15:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so nearly a year.
• 15:29
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's not that long.
• 15:31
  SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
• 15:32
SPEAKER_00: Um, so me and our friend Chia.
• 15:35
  SPEAKER_00: Hey Chia.
• 15:36
SPEAKER_00: Um, we went to Rome to actually not stalk Harry as such, but basically.
• 15:44
  SPEAKER_00: Our friend Chia's a super fan.
• 15:46
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 15:46
SPEAKER_00: She's a real super fan, so like pretty much the only memes I get from Chia are essentially sightings of Harry.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_00: Um, and then it was like a year and a half ago when he was going through his like sabbatical in Italy.
• 15:58
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 15:58
SPEAKER_00: Um, and I was writing a travel piece, and we decided to do it in Rome so that we could follow in the footsteps of Harry in Rome.
• 16:08
SPEAKER_00: So it was just like me and Chia in 40 degree heat in the middle of August, like walking up and down these roads that Harry has been sighted on.
• 16:18
SPEAKER_00: Surely he doesn't stay in the city.
• 16:21
SPEAKER_00: No, he doesn't, he definitely doesn't, and apparently he was in London at the time.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's the most annoying thing.
• 16:27
SPEAKER_02: You probably would have seen him in Rad Packney somewhere.
• 16:30
SPEAKER_00: I know, but he has actually dated people that we knew, so it's not like he's out the realm of possible.
• 16:35
SPEAKER_00: Well, he is now, but he wasn't back in the day.
• 16:38
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember at uni?
• 16:39
SPEAKER_00: There was a girl called like Olivia something.
• 16:42
SPEAKER_00: No, he definitely dated a girl who went to our uni briefly.
• 16:47
  SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
• 16:48
SPEAKER_02: Well, you famously I didn't speak to anyone at uni.
• 16:50
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, sorry, of course.
• 16:52
  SPEAKER_02: So I wouldn't have known.
• 16:54
  SPEAKER_00: How could I forget?
• 16:55
  SPEAKER_00: Of course, of course.
• 16:56
SPEAKER_00: But that's gonna be a good wedding.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I wonder what that will be.
• 17:00
SPEAKER_00: Do you think it'll be in Italy?
• 17:02
SPEAKER_02: Calamito's wedding is this yeah.
• 17:04
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, don't remind me.
• 17:08
SPEAKER_00: He's a big place for the celeb wedding recently, isn't it?
• 17:11
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, it's Palermo, isn't it?
• 17:12
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 17:13
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 17:13
SPEAKER_00: You love Palermo, don't you?
• 17:14
SPEAKER_02: Well, it was only because there was one street.
• 17:17
SPEAKER_00: With loads of natural wine bars.
• 17:18
SPEAKER_02: Loads of natural wine bars and the grony bars.
• 17:21
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 17:22
SPEAKER_02: And we just like didn't leave, basically.
• 17:24
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_00: I mean, I couldn't think of anything to get me there right now.
• 17:26
  SPEAKER_00: I wish I could what's it called?
• 17:28
  SPEAKER_00: Apparate.
• 17:30
SPEAKER_00: If I had a superpower, it would be apparating.
• 17:33
  SPEAKER_02: Would it?
• 17:34
  SPEAKER_00: Or flying.
• 17:36
  SPEAKER_00: What was yours?
• 17:37
SPEAKER_02: The same thing, kind of.
• 17:38
SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, but one's quicker.
• 17:40
  SPEAKER_02: Um, I don't know.
• 17:44
SPEAKER_02: Maybe yeah, maybe the same.
• 17:46
  SPEAKER_02: Oh.
• 17:48
SPEAKER_00: What else would be you wouldn't be invisibility?
• 17:51
  SPEAKER_02: No.
• 17:52
SPEAKER_02: Being able to hear people's thoughts?
• 17:54
SPEAKER_02: No, that would drive me mad.
• 17:55
  SPEAKER_02: That would be horrible.
• 17:56
  SPEAKER_02: Imagine.
• 17:57
  SPEAKER_02: Imagine.
• 17:57
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
• 17:58
SPEAKER_02: You would be a wreck of a gun.
• 18:00
  SPEAKER_02: I'd be a wreck.
• 18:00
SPEAKER_00: I'd be in a full bunker somewhere.
• 18:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 18:04
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's move on.
• 18:06
SPEAKER_02: What else has crossed your desk this week?
• 18:09
SPEAKER_00: Well, we were talking about the Met Gala, which is tonight, and when this comes out tomorrow, it would have been yesterday.
• 18:19
  SPEAKER_00: Does that make sense?
• 18:20
SPEAKER_02: Well, it's the morning in New York at the moment, so it's later today.
• 18:25
  SPEAKER_00: Later today.
• 18:26
SPEAKER_00: So it's been boycott, hasn't it, by a few celebs?
• 18:29
  SPEAKER_00: By like one celeb.
• 18:31
SPEAKER_00: My one celeb because controversially it's being sponsored by Lauren Sanchez and Jeff Bezos.
• 18:37
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 18:38
  SPEAKER_01: Which is so crazy.
• 18:39
  SPEAKER_01: It's so crazy.
• 18:40
  SPEAKER_00: Depressing and depressing.
• 18:42
SPEAKER_00: It's mostly depressing because like Jeff Bezos took over the Washington, I want to say Post.
• 18:49
  SPEAKER_00: I shouldn't know that.
• 18:50
SPEAKER_00: Is the Washington Post, right?
• 18:51
SPEAKER_00: The Washington Post is a famously liberal newspaper and it's on the right side of the Watergate scan, all that kind of stuff, exposing bad behaviour.
• 18:59
SPEAKER_00: And then obviously he completely capitulated to Trump during the election and became pro-Trump.
• 19:04
SPEAKER_00: And then apparently, since then he was meant to be injecting the newspaper with like billions of pounds, but the newspapers lost millions of subscribers because I guess all of these were all liberals, they're all Democrats, yeah, and they're like, fuck this.
• 19:18
SPEAKER_00: Well, like after the endorsing Trump.
• 19:21
SPEAKER_00: Because he was like, I want to keep this amazing institution alive, it has such a rich history.
• 19:25
SPEAKER_00: But then as a result of losing all of these subscribers to the Washington Post, apparently they've had to make mass redundancies.
• 19:32
SPEAKER_00: So now the newspaper has been like whittled down to hardly any stuff.
• 19:36
SPEAKER_00: So he's now basically taken this newspaper that was this kind of bastion of liberal democracy and journalism and all this kind of stuff, and now it's become this skeleton operation, and he has the money to put into it to keep these jobs, but he's not putting the money in.
• 19:50
  SPEAKER_00: Isn't that crazy?
• 19:51
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
• 19:52
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 19:53
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, that was a really long-winded way of saying he's sponsoring the Metgart.
• 19:56
SPEAKER_02: Did he was he did but did he start his business, aka Amazon, in like good faith?
• 20:04
SPEAKER_02: Is it the money and power that's changed him?
• 20:06
  SPEAKER_02: I I that I couldn't tell you.
• 20:10
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, thank you.
• 20:11
SPEAKER_00: But he's got this wife, Lauren Sanchez, who's a bit of a controversial figure in her own right.
• 20:16
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember they got married last year in Venice?
• 20:18
SPEAKER_00: It was this spectacle, wasn't it, of wealth and money, and like a lot of people kind of criticized it as like a bit almost gross.
• 20:26
SPEAKER_00: And then he obviously did that trip, didn't he?
• 20:29
SPEAKER_00: The space thing with Lauren Sanchez and like Case Perry.
• 20:33
SPEAKER_00: I mean the less mentioned about that the better.
• 20:35
SPEAKER_00: But um but anyway, so they're sponsoring the Met Gar, and there's been a bit of an outcry about it, hasn't it?
• 20:40
SPEAKER_02: Because it's going against these liberal ideals of the Metropolitan Art Museum and Yeah, I guess it just doesn't really feel like that conducive with art and fashion and crazy, yeah, exactly.
• 20:53
SPEAKER_02: And Lauren Sanchez has a I think she has a fashion line.
• 20:57
  SPEAKER_03: Oh god.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_02: But I don't I mean, I guess quite a few people would view her as like not tasteful.
• 21:04
  SPEAKER_02: Oh but allegedly.
• 21:06
  SPEAKER_02: Allegedly.
• 21:07
SPEAKER_02: I don't know who they are, but Lauren Sanchez, if you're listening.
• 21:11
  SPEAKER_00: Sorry, I'm sorry.
• 21:13
SPEAKER_00: Lauren and Dewey, we owe a big apologies.
• 21:17
SPEAKER_00: No, but Mel Sheep has said that she's not going, however, she also has never gone.
• 21:22
SPEAKER_00: So I don't know what that was like a big head.
• 21:24
SPEAKER_02: No, but we think that maybe she was supposed to go this year because of the Devil Wears Prada, because that would have been quite iconic if she had gone to the Met Gala with Devil World's Prada having been released not long ago, a couple days ago.
• 21:37
SPEAKER_00: And Zendaya has said that she's not going.
• 21:39
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 21:40
SPEAKER_00: Which is pretty cool from her.
• 21:41
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we love Zendaya.
• 21:42
SPEAKER_00: We love her so much.
• 21:43
  SPEAKER_00: Isn't it side note?
• 21:44
SPEAKER_00: Isn't it so weird that she lives in Richmond?
• 21:46
  SPEAKER_00: It's so funny.
• 21:48
SPEAKER_00: Just like her and Tom, what's his name?
• 21:50
SPEAKER_00: Tom her and Tom Holland just like on a walk around Isabella plantation with a deer in the background.
• 21:57
  SPEAKER_00: It's so random.
• 21:59
SPEAKER_02: Um But Anna Winter is in full support of Bezos and Sanchez doing their thing.
• 22:06
  SPEAKER_00: I feel like she's not.
• 22:08
SPEAKER_00: But because she's still affiliated with Vogue World and Vogue Business and all of that Vogue stuff, I feel like she has to say she is.
• 22:17
  SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, maybe.
• 22:19
SPEAKER_02: But didn't we hear that she was the ones who appointed them?
• 22:24
  SPEAKER_00: Oh, I didn't know that.
• 22:26
SPEAKER_02: Again, we could just be spreading bishop rumors.
• 22:28
  SPEAKER_00: Allegedly, allegedly.
• 22:30
SPEAKER_02: This podcast is just us like spreading really terrible rumours about people.
• 22:34
SPEAKER_00: I think we should call this podcast allegedly anything.
• 22:39
SPEAKER_02: Also, like not knowing our facts, but anyway.
• 22:43
SPEAKER_02: This is like when people have proper podcasts, they have people researching in the background.
• 22:48
  SPEAKER_02: Fact checking.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_00: We're also we haven't actually read any of these articles, we've just read the titles.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_02: I've just skim read the title.
• 22:57
SPEAKER_02: We just sent each other articles that could be interesting, but none of us have read them.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_02: Um but costume art is the theme.
• 23:04
  SPEAKER_00: Yes.
• 23:04
SPEAKER_00: So what do you think about the theme?
• 23:06
SPEAKER_02: Um, I think that was quite cool.
• 23:08
SPEAKER_02: I mean, like the first thing that brings to my mind is like period costume.
• 23:14
SPEAKER_02: It'd be quite sick if someone went and like full like Marie Antoinette style vibe.
• 23:22
  SPEAKER_00: I think that's really cool.
• 23:23
SPEAKER_00: I think of, I guess, just costume jewellery, maybe because it's in the name.
• 23:26
SPEAKER_00: I just think of I think of like really out there essentially.
• 23:30
SPEAKER_02: What is some sorry Karen?
• 23:31
SPEAKER_00: No, just that's it, like costumes.
• 23:33
SPEAKER_02: What are some designers that are quite like costumey?
• 23:37
SPEAKER_02: I guess everyone will go like really couture.
• 23:40
SPEAKER_00: Like Delara or like Galliano, like that kind of thing.
• 23:45
  SPEAKER_00: That's true.
• 23:46
SPEAKER_00: More I guess that's more pop pop.
• 23:48
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
• 23:49
  SPEAKER_00: Um I'm thinking I'm thinking Versailles.
• 23:52
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 23:53
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 23:54
SPEAKER_02: Apparently everyone's been encouraged to treat their body like a blank canvas.
• 23:59
SPEAKER_00: There's definitely gonna be a few spray paint sit juice.
• 24:02
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, just them avatar type things.
• 24:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and there's gonna be quite a lot of nudity, I can just see it now.
• 24:07
  SPEAKER_02: From the Kardashian clan.
• 24:10
  SPEAKER_02: Potentially.
• 24:12
  SPEAKER_02: Allegedly.
• 24:12
  SPEAKER_02: Allegedly.
• 24:14
  SPEAKER_00: What would you do?
• 24:15
  SPEAKER_00: Would you go nude?
• 24:16
SPEAKER_00: Um Just cover yourself in a light dusting of it.
• 24:23
SPEAKER_02: Can you imagine having so much confidence that you just go out?
• 24:27
SPEAKER_02: It's like famously when Kylie Jenner said that her someone asked her what her go-to low-key outfit was, and she was like something really comfy and casual, like a crapped up and low waist trousers.
• 24:39
SPEAKER_02: And I was like, in what world?
• 24:41
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, in what world?
• 24:42
SPEAKER_00: My gut just gently hanging out, like wobbling around.
• 24:45
  SPEAKER_00: No, thank you.
• 24:47
  SPEAKER_02: No, um that's her comfy go-to.
• 24:50
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's her low-key like comfy outfit.
• 24:54
  SPEAKER_00: Good lord, no way.
• 24:55
  SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine that?
• 24:56
SPEAKER_00: Apart from the same cloth.
• 24:57
SPEAKER_00: We're literally both in full tracksuit.
• 25:00
SPEAKER_00: This is all I wear these days.
• 25:01
SPEAKER_00: Since COVID, I don't wear normal clothes anymore.
• 25:03
SPEAKER_02: Unless I've got to COVID, I remember COVID because I would change from my tracksuit that I worked all day in at home, and then I would shower and change into my comfy clothes, which was my pajamas, because I needed some kind of difference in the day.
• 25:20
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I remember literally don't.
• 25:22
SPEAKER_02: I think we probably lived together at the time, but I literally would go upstairs and be like, I'm getting into my comfy clothes now.
• 25:27
SPEAKER_02: And it'd be like, you couldn't be comfy.
• 25:29
SPEAKER_00: It would be that same grey knitted jumper that literally looks like it's yeah, I don't have that anymore.
• 25:35
  SPEAKER_02: You don't?
• 25:36
SPEAKER_02: No, where was your fave?
• 25:37
SPEAKER_02: I put that, I may have got another one that's like my comfy one.
• 25:42
SPEAKER_00: It was just us just looking greyer and greyer by the day.
• 25:46
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there's just nothing better than being comfy.
• 25:49
SPEAKER_00: That feeling of the tightness of a pair of trousers constricting one's waist, I think is like up there with the top ten worst feelings.
• 26:01
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, there's nothing worse than wearing a pair of trousers that you desperately just want to wear and they're like too tight.
• 26:08
SPEAKER_02: Because not only is it uncomfortable on the waist, it's also uncomfortable on the crotch.
• 26:13
SPEAKER_02: And it's and you just are like, well, I'm gonna get a UTI or thrush.
• 26:17
SPEAKER_00: So you can get UTI or thrush, and also I'm just constantly reminded with every jab in the ribs of how fat I am, and that these once fit me.
• 26:24
SPEAKER_00: Exactly, and also the fact that you can't sit.
• 26:27
  SPEAKER_02: Do you remember that?
• 26:27
SPEAKER_02: You have to just recline a vintage levies I had that I bore to death and I like kept on trying them on, and I was like, I just don't fit in them anymore.
• 26:37
  SPEAKER_02: I mean I got them when I was like 21.
• 26:40
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 26:40
SPEAKER_02: And so by the time it got to like 29, I was like, I'm just changed.
• 26:44
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 26:45
SPEAKER_00: Okay, so what else has been going on then?
• 26:49
SPEAKER_02: You passed the law that people born after 2008 can never buy cigarettes again.
• 26:55
SPEAKER_00: Now this is very sad.
• 26:59
SPEAKER_00: No, this I think is I mean, it's probably a good thing for their health.
• 27:03
SPEAKER_00: I think this marks the beginning of the end of civilization.
• 27:08
SPEAKER_00: Like we're already heading towards a fucking inferno, and this is how they want us to go.
• 27:13
SPEAKER_00: The poor Gen Zs, the poor Gen Alphas, and they're fucking little kids.
• 27:17
SPEAKER_00: I mean, they already have a shit time with this, they're never gonna own a house.
• 27:20
SPEAKER_00: They're stuck online, they're being trolled 24-7 on things like TikTok, and now they can't even take the edge off with a cigarette.
• 27:28
SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry, but that is not okay.
• 27:31
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean they're never gonna like look cool in the pink aren't they?
• 27:36
SPEAKER_00: But the thing is, banning things I feel like makes makes you want it more.
• 27:42
SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
• 27:43
SPEAKER_00: There's gonna be a black market, yeah.
• 27:46
SPEAKER_00: Because they're gonna see like older people with cigarettes and then then not allow them every year.
• 27:50
SPEAKER_02: But the thing that I find crazy is that like I mean I think they're trying to make it harder to vape, but like vapes now have obviously like taken over, and I find them more disgusting than cigarettes.
• 27:59
  SPEAKER_02: I don't smoke, but I fucking hate vapes.
• 28:04
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I hate vapes, I think they're disgusting, and I think whatever the shit is they put in there cannot be good for you.
• 28:09
  SPEAKER_00: I know that's what I mean.
• 28:10
SPEAKER_02: So it's like you've got all of these 15-year-olds who are just gonna who are just vaping rather than not that smoking is good, but like no, but it doesn't feel a bit of a vaping instead of smoking.
• 28:19
SPEAKER_00: I feel like smoking feels quite organic these days.
• 28:22
SPEAKER_02: It does feel quite authentic.
• 28:24
SPEAKER_00: So it does because it's like you know the devil, the devil, you know, like you know what I mean.
• 28:30
SPEAKER_00: It's like you've got a real tobacco, it's been nicely farmed, it's been nicely dried, rolled up neatly and cutely.
• 28:37
SPEAKER_00: It's in there, inhale it, it's fucking you up, but at least you know what it is, you know?
• 28:42
SPEAKER_00: Whereas vape sort of the e-numbers of the smoking world.
• 28:45
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 28:46
SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think it's really bad.
• 28:48
SPEAKER_00: And I think that kids are gonna continue putting shit in their body, but they're just gonna have to go through very illegal means.
• 28:56
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 28:57
SPEAKER_02: So how old is that if you are born in 2008?
• 29:00
SPEAKER_00: Well, we've now Googled it after about seven minutes of wrong calculation.
• 29:08
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's 18 or 17.
• 29:11
  SPEAKER_00: Crazy.
• 29:12
SPEAKER_00: No, but can I just say I think that's really stupid?
• 29:14
SPEAKER_00: Because they're old enough to have maybe tried it and they're just being told they're never ever gonna be able to buy them.
• 29:20
SPEAKER_02: Do you not think that's like I just don't think they'll care?
• 29:23
SPEAKER_02: Like at that age, you're not like addicted enough to um to like scout it out.
• 29:29
  SPEAKER_02: Are you shocking?
• 29:30
SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I would have been livid, but it's not the same now, like it's not like cool.
• 29:36
SPEAKER_02: Well, it is cool though.
• 29:38
  SPEAKER_02: But it to you.
• 29:39
SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, but you've got like the Addison Rays, you've got the Charlie XXs, you've got all of these American kind of girly pop girls who have now like smoking for the gram.
• 29:48
SPEAKER_02: It just appeared out of nowhere though.
• 29:50
SPEAKER_02: I feel like no one was talking about this, and then suddenly I got a news notification that was like they've been talking about it for ages, but they've just kind of been like bubbling under the surface.
• 29:59
SPEAKER_00: But it's one of those things that I feel like the government is pushing through these like radical policies on things that no one gives a fuck about.
• 30:05
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 30:06
SPEAKER_00: The things that we actually need and want them to.
• 30:08
SPEAKER_00: For example, like lowering rent prices.
• 30:10
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 30:10
  SPEAKER_00: They're just not doing.
• 30:11
  SPEAKER_02: 100%.
• 30:12
SPEAKER_00: It's like young people, whatever they do, are just being punished left, right, and centre.
• 30:15
  SPEAKER_02: It's a classic government tactic.
• 30:17
  SPEAKER_00: Isn't it?
• 30:17
SPEAKER_00: It's like, why don't you just tax the rich instead of allowing the kids to never smoke again?
• 30:22
  SPEAKER_00: Like, let them live.
• 30:23
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 30:23
  SPEAKER_00: Let them live.
• 30:24
SPEAKER_00: Why don't you just stop the wars instead of stop all the wars and maybe just fix the cost of living crisis?
• 30:30
SPEAKER_00: And then we probably won't need the cigarettes.
• 30:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then we won't need to be stress smoking.
• 30:35
  unknown: Exactly.
• 30:36
SPEAKER_00: I was reading this article, I think it was on the New Yorker we'll link it in the bottom, and this girl was talking about how like we all need to smoke again and how smoking's fine again.
• 30:43
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think I remember reading that.
• 30:45
SPEAKER_00: She was like, I can't control this fucking crazy world that we're living in.
• 30:49
SPEAKER_00: Democracy is crumbling, prices are skyrocketing, we're gonna all collapse in an inferno.
• 30:54
SPEAKER_00: So God forbid me going outside and getting five minutes of peace.
• 30:59
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 31:00
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god.
• 31:01
SPEAKER_02: And didn't they didn't they try and ban smoking indoors in Milan or something?
• 31:05
SPEAKER_02: And everyone was like screamed out.
• 31:08
  SPEAKER_00: I can't remember that, did they?
• 31:09
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, something like that happened, and they were like, This is a fucking joke.
• 31:14
  SPEAKER_00: That's really fun.
• 31:15
  SPEAKER_00: I love that.
• 31:16
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 31:17
SPEAKER_02: The other thing that I have been reading about is the allegations against Alex Cooper and her husband from Cool Her Daddy.
• 31:27
  SPEAKER_02: And her husband.
• 31:28
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, her husband, Matt Kaplan, who they started their production company Unwell.
• 31:34
  SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
• 31:35
SPEAKER_02: And they have lots of podcasts on their I don't actually know what else they do, but all kinds of things.
• 31:42
SPEAKER_02: So obviously she's become so famous.
• 31:44
SPEAKER_02: She's one of the probably if not one of if not the biggest like podcast female podcasters.
• 31:52
SPEAKER_02: And she did that whole documentary.
• 31:54
  SPEAKER_02: Oh yeah, yeah.
• 31:55
SPEAKER_02: Because do you know the like origin story?
• 31:58
SPEAKER_02: Kind of the origin story was that she started a podcast with her friend called Sophia.
• 32:04
SPEAKER_02: They both lived, I think they were like roommates, they were like living in New York at the time, they were like young, and they talked about guys they dated, like sex, but they were quite vocal with it all.
• 32:13
SPEAKER_02: And they got picked up by a company called Barstool, who are quite big in the US, but quite like laddy, I think, kind of like lad Bible vibes.
• 32:24
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, right.
• 32:25
SPEAKER_02: They basically offered to give them a deal, like podcast deal, which I think they took, but they basically went separate ways because Alex Cooper claimed that Sophia wasn't helping with editing, wasn't helping with a couple of other things, and didn't want to go with the deal that Barstool was offering them.
• 32:44
  SPEAKER_02: That was like amazing.
• 32:46
SPEAKER_02: Anyway, it basically ended up taking the name of the podcast and starting her own thing, and obviously it's become so big.
• 32:54
SPEAKER_02: And then the Sophia girl has just written a book with her side of the story, but apparently it's not all like as Alex has said it was.
• 33:03
SPEAKER_02: Oh, but Sophia came off a lot worse.
• 33:05
SPEAKER_02: Number one in the story, but number two in general, like she doesn't have a huge platform, like Alex Cooper has become so much more famous than her, so it's all a bit fishy.
• 33:16
SPEAKER_00: So Sophia wasn't part of the Call Her Daddy podcast when it branched off.
• 33:22
SPEAKER_02: No, so she claims that Alex Cooper made a separate deal for herself without speaking to her properly about it.
• 33:29
SPEAKER_02: But Alex claims that Sophia was delaying and messing around a deal that she thought they should take.
• 33:36
  SPEAKER_00: Right.
• 33:36
SPEAKER_02: So no one really knows the truth, but they both have a different side of it.
• 33:39
SPEAKER_02: But obviously, Sophia has come off with like without the podcast, without the fame, without the status.
• 33:46
  SPEAKER_02: And was she good?
• 33:47
  SPEAKER_02: I don't know, I've got no idea.
• 33:49
  SPEAKER_02: Um who knows?
• 33:52
SPEAKER_02: But anyway, so Alex Cooper then met her husband, and they now have this big production company, and they're like super written famous, and it's been loads of allegations that Demoir have posted about people who work there, mostly women, claiming then it was like a really toxic environment, and in particular Alex's husband, Matt, being really toxic, like shouting at people, being really inappropriate in interviews, not in like a sexual way, but like asking like inappropriate questions, like looking at their Instagrams with them in the room and like stuff like that, which is obviously really weird.
• 34:28
SPEAKER_02: But like there's been like lots of separate posts about it.
• 34:31
  SPEAKER_02: Really?
• 34:32
SPEAKER_02: Which no one's like addressed or anything.
• 34:34
SPEAKER_02: I feel like with that kind of thing, especially with companies that grow quite fast, quite quickly.
• 34:41
SPEAKER_02: I think there's always more of that.
• 34:44
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
• 34:45
SPEAKER_02: Most people don't know how to run a business, which is fair enough because no one teaches you that shit.
• 34:50
SPEAKER_00: Can you imagine if me and you were starting a business?
• 34:53
SPEAKER_00: I'd be like, um, yeah, just come in, I'm just getting changed.
• 34:56
  SPEAKER_00: I'm taking that.
• 34:59
SPEAKER_00: Sorry, it just that sounded a bit Harley Weinstein.
• 35:01
SPEAKER_00: No, I went, but do you know what I mean?
• 35:03
SPEAKER_00: It'll be complete chaos, yeah.
• 35:05
SPEAKER_00: But also, do you remember that girl called like Matilda Jerf or something like that?
• 35:09
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 35:10
SPEAKER_00: Like a Danish influencer girl, and then she started her fashion brand.
• 35:13
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember there was all of those allegations about her being like not allowing them to go to the toilet and stuff?
• 35:18
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but this is the thing, it's so crazy because why are you being an insane person?
• 35:24
SPEAKER_02: Like just be normal, be nice, like on your nine, they're nine to five, like let them fucking do a shit.
• 35:33
  SPEAKER_02: But that's crazy.
• 35:34
SPEAKER_02: I think, especially when it's people's own business, it's like their baby and they become so crazy.
• 35:41
SPEAKER_02: I mean, we've known lots of people who've worked for small businesses or businesses where the founder is still the MD or CEO, whatever, and I think you get so obsessed with how you want it to run that, like you, yeah, really micromanage-y and probably like quite toxic.
• 35:57
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
• 35:57
SPEAKER_02: So I can see how that happens, but yeah, anyway, so it's quite interesting.
• 36:00
SPEAKER_02: They've not said anything about it.
• 36:02
SPEAKER_00: I don't think they've posted anything about it, but well, hasn't she also had loads of beef with that girl Alex Earl?
• 36:08
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so Alex Earl had a podcast that was on in this Unwell production company, but I don't really know the beef of that.
• 36:15
SPEAKER_02: I've just kept out of it.
• 36:16
SPEAKER_02: It kind of seems just like quite boring.
• 36:18
SPEAKER_02: It's quite magnanimous of you.
• 36:21
SPEAKER_02: I've not weighed in on it.
• 36:22
SPEAKER_02: No, I didn't want to pick side.
• 36:25
  SPEAKER_02: Anyway.
• 36:26
  SPEAKER_02: Anyway, we don't know.
• 36:27
  SPEAKER_02: Allegedly, something happened.
• 36:28
  SPEAKER_00: Okay, so let's scratch.
• 36:30
SPEAKER_02: I also like didn't know which one was which for ages.
• 36:32
SPEAKER_00: No, and also it's one of those American celebrities that I just would never know about.
• 36:36
SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
• 36:37
SPEAKER_02: And also everyone's like, Alex Earl is so famous, and I'm like Who is she?
• 36:41
SPEAKER_00: All I know there's no is that apparently she snogged Tom Brady, another American celebrity that everyone seems to know about in America, who I'm like Is he the one that was married to Giselle?
• 36:52
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, gosh, I love Giselle.
• 36:53
  SPEAKER_00: She's so chic, don't you think?
• 36:54
  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
• 36:55
SPEAKER_00: Well, I guess like we pretty rattled our way for a couple of topics today.
• 37:00
SPEAKER_00: Guys, you don't understand, like, pre-recording, the energy was quite low, wasn't it?
• 37:06
SPEAKER_00: Like, I was on the verge of a nervous breakdown.
• 37:09
  SPEAKER_00: You were okay, actually.
• 37:12
SPEAKER_00: I was actually I was actually fine.
• 37:14
  SPEAKER_02: You were quite good.
• 37:14
SPEAKER_02: But I was quite brought down by the energy in the room.
• 37:18
SPEAKER_00: My energy was quite heavy on the heavy on the heart.
• 37:21
SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, so now I hopefully we've things have been slipped a tad.
• 37:27
SPEAKER_00: What are your recommendations for the week?
• 37:29
SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, let's do records for the week.
• 37:31
SPEAKER_02: Well, in the vein of recommending films that we still haven't seen yet, like the drama from last time, I need to go see Devil Birds Prada 2.
• 37:40
SPEAKER_02: Can we go see that next week?
• 37:41
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm very down.
• 37:42
  SPEAKER_02: Can we actually?
• 37:43
SPEAKER_02: Maybe we can that's what we could convince Tink to do.
• 37:46
  SPEAKER_02: Oh my gosh, please.
• 37:47
SPEAKER_02: It's not really her vibe though.
• 37:50
SPEAKER_02: Tink, what do you think?
• 37:51
SPEAKER_00: Do you remember our friend Tink hates the cinema, but do you remember when we went to go see Um Fifty Shades of Grey?
• 37:58
  SPEAKER_02: No.
• 37:58
SPEAKER_00: Do you want to see Fifty Shades?
• 38:00
SPEAKER_00: It was a set, yeah, it was Fifty Shades of Grey, and we were all sat.
• 38:04
SPEAKER_00: I think you must have been.
• 38:05
SPEAKER_00: But Tink was in the back, and basically she was getting so uncomfortable and so hot and flustered that she was trying to distract because it was also quite hot in the room.
• 38:13
SPEAKER_00: She was trying to distract herself by going on her phone.
• 38:16
SPEAKER_00: And the woman next to her was like, Turn your phone off because it was like so bright.
• 38:20
SPEAKER_00: So Tink was like forced to watch the screen, but she said that she was literally dripping in sweat, she was so uncomfortable.
• 38:28
SPEAKER_00: And then the other time we went to the cinema with Tink, we went to see once one side with Hollywood.
• 38:32
  SPEAKER_00: But did she leave?
• 38:34
  SPEAKER_00: We all got separated.
• 38:35
SPEAKER_00: We were in Peck and Plex, and we all had to sit separately on RR.
• 38:37
SPEAKER_00: So we watched the film alone, yeah.
• 38:39
SPEAKER_00: And which I loved, I loved it, I didn't mind it at all.
• 38:42
SPEAKER_00: And then we left the cinema to find that Tink was nowhere to be found.
• 38:47
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, she just fucked off after about 15 minutes because she was like, fuck this.
• 38:53
SPEAKER_02: Oh I want to read Fame Sick.
• 38:58
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we need to read Fame Sick.
• 38:59
SPEAKER_02: I've been re-watching Girls and I just finished season five.
• 39:04
  SPEAKER_00: It's just so good.
• 39:06
SPEAKER_00: Now knowing that Adam Driver was a bit crazy, allegedly, on set.
• 39:11
SPEAKER_00: You know how in the book she's been saying that he does method acting, and he's like to throw chairs against the wall and stuff.
• 39:18
SPEAKER_00: Now I've been re-watching it as well.
• 39:19
SPEAKER_00: Like you can kind of like tell, get that vibe, get the vibe from him, and I feel like it makes me not like him as much.
• 39:25
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I've just watched when him and Jess uh get together, and it's just so so hard to watch.
• 39:30
SPEAKER_02: So it's actually giving the scamandah.
• 39:36
SPEAKER_00: You thought we weren't gonna bring it up.
• 39:39
  SPEAKER_00: You were wrong.
• 39:40
SPEAKER_02: Well I don't for everyone for getting through that.
• 39:43
  SPEAKER_02: That was really good.
• 39:45
SPEAKER_02: It was so long-winded, yeah.
• 39:47
  SPEAKER_02: It was a lot.
• 39:48
SPEAKER_02: I've had multiple people be like, I've got no idea what you were talking about, but the bit after that was good.
• 39:52
SPEAKER_02: My friend Chari from work sent me a thing that was like Commander explaining layman's terms, which was using Monica and Charla and Rachel from Friends, and I was like, That's so good to explain it that way.
• 40:04
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was what was it was like Monica and Charla go out, then they break up, and then Rachel starts sleeping with Charler, but he he's still like sleeping with other people, whilst also like heavily flirting with Monica trying to get her back.
• 40:21
SPEAKER_00: Well, in in quite big news, the reunion has wrapped on Summer House.
• 40:26
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean there were leaks and all sorts of things.
• 40:29
SPEAKER_02: I actually haven't listened to the second leak, I've only listened to the first.
• 40:32
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because even each episode is ruined because there's so many fucking TikTok and it's all the clips of the best bits, and then the rest of the episode is live or whatever.
• 40:40
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's like them just chatting in the loo or something.
• 40:43
SPEAKER_02: It is so hard to watch, especially Sierra's talking head splits.
• 40:47
SPEAKER_00: So in the most recent episodes, you can see them last summer pre-The Scamanda scandal, and basically West and Sierra have now decided to be best friends again, and they're like heavily flirting.
• 40:59
SPEAKER_00: And Amanda is not happy about it.
• 41:01
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you can already tell that some energy so clear.
• 41:04
SPEAKER_02: The end of that programme, nothing was clearer in my life what was going on.
• 41:08
SPEAKER_02: But Sierra and West weren't friends anymore because they have such a close bond, and she was now West's number one girl, friends-wise, and she was she loved that, yeah, and she obviously had started liking him, and then as soon as Sierra and West are best friends and hanging out loads, she's like, That's weird.
• 41:27
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, anyway, nothing's been as clear ever in my life.
• 41:30
  SPEAKER_00: No, nothing, nothing.
• 41:31
SPEAKER_02: But let's wrap that up.
• 41:32
SPEAKER_00: But the one thing I will say is that if anyone is following this, apparently post-reunion, so him and Amanda, West and Amanda are obviously together, but then allegedly, according to Instagram and TikTok, he's back on Raya.
• 41:47
SPEAKER_00: So I know guys, this is why you never fuck over your best friend for the loser.
• 41:54
SPEAKER_02: For the yeah, that streetwear boy Lena Dunlop calls him, which I love.
• 42:01
  SPEAKER_00: So true.
• 42:02
SPEAKER_02: So is that it for today?
• 42:03
SPEAKER_02: Those are my recommendations of things that I haven't actually yet read or watched.
• 42:07
  SPEAKER_02: Right.
• 42:07
SPEAKER_02: Is there anything that you've done that you would like to recommend?
• 42:13
  SPEAKER_02: I did start reading a book.
• 42:14
  SPEAKER_02: It's just a short one.
• 42:16
SPEAKER_02: It was translated from Japanese, but it's about a coffee shop that uh transports you back in time and it's called Before the Coffee Gets Cold, and it looks really cute.
• 42:28
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
• 42:30
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I started it.
• 42:30
  SPEAKER_02: Is it good?
• 42:31
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, it's good.
• 42:32
  SPEAKER_02: That sounds really nice.
• 42:33
SPEAKER_02: But it's like a short, slim book.
• 42:34
SPEAKER_02: I just had to I got stuck with Rothering Heights, I had to like Oh, I was gonna say Yeah, I got stuck.
• 42:40
  SPEAKER_00: I knew you would.
• 42:41
SPEAKER_02: The first month was really good, and then like as soon as like she like she's about to die, and then it's gonna turn into the kids, and I just don't care anymore.
• 42:51
  SPEAKER_02: So that's what's happened there.
• 42:53
SPEAKER_02: So then I've got another book that I'm actually really excited to read called Fun and Games by an Irish author.
• 43:00
SPEAKER_02: I have forgotten his name, but we'll put it in the links, and it's a coming of age Irish story, and I'm just a sucker for an Irish coming of age story.
• 43:10
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god, yeah.
• 43:11
  SPEAKER_02: So good.
• 43:12
  SPEAKER_00: 100%.
• 43:13
SPEAKER_02: Did you ever read The Heart's Invisible Furies?
• 43:15
SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, such a great book.
• 43:17
SPEAKER_02: Such a great book, but I think I'm gonna save that for the holiday because then I think we should read Fame Sick to reignite our book.
• 43:24
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that could be next, yeah.
• 43:25
SPEAKER_00: I think after your um current.
• 43:27
SPEAKER_02: If anyone wants to join our book club, it's currently just us.
• 43:30
SPEAKER_02: It was mostly based on romanticy.
• 43:33
  SPEAKER_00: Oh god, okay.
• 43:34
SPEAKER_00: Maybe we discussed this at greater length next week.
• 43:36
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we said that last time.
• 43:38
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know, but it's like it's an episode of itself.
• 43:41
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, fancy recommendations.
• 43:42
SPEAKER_00: I don't really have any recommendations because I feel like I've fried all my brains down.
• 43:46
SPEAKER_00: I literally don't even know whether I'm coming or going.
• 43:50
SPEAKER_00: I So yesterday I lay on the sofa and I watched 15 episodes.
• 43:55
  SPEAKER_00: That's so many episodes.
• 43:57
SPEAKER_00: I know, and I really should have gone to bed, but I was like so KO'd that I couldn't even move.
• 44:02
SPEAKER_00: I just like was staring unblinkingly at the TV.
• 44:05
SPEAKER_00: Um, Real House of New Jersey started from Episode Series 3.
• 44:08
SPEAKER_00: I've actually seen it like 10 years ago and then like forgot, but it's crazy.
• 44:14
SPEAKER_00: It's actually a bit depressing because it's like it's about families and they're so horrible to each other, and it's that woman Teresa G Dyson.
• 44:22
SPEAKER_00: Anyway, I don't know if I would recommend that because honestly, I don't know how I felt after.
• 44:27
SPEAKER_00: I was like, this makes me feel really sad.
• 44:29
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I felt like that season four of Secret Lives and Mormon Wise, I just found it kind of depressing, especially watching Taylor like just self-sabotage to the nth degree.

SPEAKER_02: Yeah, especially when season three she was like quite mature, and season four it was just so depressing watching her just like fuck her life up.
• 44:47
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, again, completely agree.
• 44:50
SPEAKER_00: I actually do have one recommendation.
• 44:53
SPEAKER_00: This is getting on a bit now.
• 44:54
  SPEAKER_00: Alright, but it's not it's not a cultural thing, but it's a c it's a linen brand.
• 45:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, when I was in Milan, it's called Under.
• 45:03
  SPEAKER_03: Ooh.
• 45:03
  SPEAKER_02: You had a bit?
• 45:04
SPEAKER_02: No, but I nothing beats linen bed sheets.
• 45:07
  SPEAKER_00: Well, I mean I can't afford them.
• 45:09
  SPEAKER_00: No, of course.
• 45:10
SPEAKER_00: If you're listening, you want a sponsor.
• 45:12

• 45:13
SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, can you imagine?
• 45:15
SPEAKER_00: Probably need to start something more factory.
• 45:17
  SPEAKER_02: No, I love a linen bedsheet.
• 45:19
SPEAKER_02: I've not yet had the money to do linen under sheet.
• 45:23
SPEAKER_00: I don't I said linen, I'm not sure if they are actually linen.
• 45:25
  SPEAKER_00: It's like Tecla fabric.
• 45:27
SPEAKER_00: Oh, you know, so maybe that's cotton.
• 45:30
SPEAKER_00: No, but there's such cool colours.
• 45:32

• 45:34
SPEAKER_00: So okay, so not linen.
• 45:35
SPEAKER_00: No, that would be my recommendation.
• 45:37
SPEAKER_00: My other recommendation is I've been taking milk thistle for the lip.
• 45:43
SPEAKER_00: Actually, no, I've been taking these patches that you can buy from Whole Foods, you put them on your feet, um, and they detoxify your body because I was feeling a bit toxin heavy recently.
• 45:54
SPEAKER_00: And um, I woke up the next day and honestly, I felt bright eyed and bushy tailed.
• 45:59
  SPEAKER_00: Right?
• 46:00
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'll link them in the show notes.
• 46:01
  SPEAKER_00: Okay.
• 46:02
SPEAKER_00: So I think maybe that's where we should end it today.
• 46:05
  SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
• 46:06
SPEAKER_02: Stuff you stick on your feet, perfect.
• 46:10
  SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay, love.
• 46:12
SPEAKER_02: Stay hot and uh keep smoking.
• 46:14
SPEAKER_00: Keep smoking, don't be loser.
