- 0:05Speaker 1: Apodjay Production. Welcome to the She Rises Podcast. I'm Ashley
- 0:13Speaker 1: and I'm Tiana. This podcast is about female empowerment and
- 0:16Speaker 1: encouraging you to be your biggest, boldest, and most authentic
- 0:19Speaker 1: version of yourself. We'd help you shed the shame, grow
- 0:22Speaker 1: to a new level. We're gonna laugh, cry, and talk
- 0:24Speaker 1: about the topics everyone else is too afraid to talk about.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Get ready for your next level of self. Hello everybody,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Welcome back to the potty.
- 0:33Speaker 2: Welcome back to another episode of She Rises with your favorite.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Hosts Ashley and Tiana. Today we're talking all things Balley.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We just got back from a Barley trip and had
- 0:41Speaker 1: the time of our life. Before we get into it,
- 0:44Speaker 1: watch your Share of the Week.
- 0:45Speaker 2: My Share of the Week is something for when you
- 0:47Speaker 2: are under the weather or if you've got a little
- 0:48Speaker 2: bit of a sickness. This has been a game changer
- 0:51Speaker 2: for me, especially coming back from Bali. I felt a
- 0:53Speaker 2: little bit under the weather, my gut felt off, and
- 0:56Speaker 2: I've been using oregano oil in the capsule form and
- 0:59Speaker 2: then it's just helped me clear everything up, Like I
- 1:02Speaker 2: was really really up and down. Having taken that every
- 1:05Speaker 2: day after like forty eight hours I was good.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Yeah, I've never heard of it until I met you.
- 1:09Speaker 2: It's really potent and really strong. People say that you
- 1:12Speaker 2: should use it for like parasite cleanses, anything to do
- 1:14Speaker 2: with stomach bugs, all that sort of stuff, because it's
- 1:16Speaker 2: quite a potent oil.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Even if you smell it, it's really strong. Is it
- 1:21Speaker 1: like for inflammation, clears you out bacterial? Yeah, question. I'm
- 1:26Speaker 1: just so curious how an oil helps your sickness. It's
- 1:30Speaker 1: got antioxidants in it. It's also anti inflammatory inflammatory. Yeah,
- 1:33Speaker 1: that makes sense. It's antibacterial, anti microbiomal. How cool. Yeah,
- 1:38Speaker 1: my show of the week is so random. But hear
- 1:41Speaker 1: me out homemade nachos. I don't like avocado, but I
- 1:44Speaker 1: make guacamole. It does not taste like avocado. It's like
- 1:48Speaker 1: avocado mashed up, lemon and lime, juice, salt, pepper, corn,
- 1:52Speaker 1: chopped out tomatoes, and raw red onion. Absolutely delicious. And
- 1:55Speaker 1: I used to just make nachos with like corn, chips, beef,
- 1:58Speaker 1: mince and some sauce and cheese. Yep. Now with this
- 2:01Speaker 1: on top, I have it pretty much every single day.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We even brought it to the studio today. So yummy,
- 2:05Speaker 1: so healthy, very satisfying and I'm just not sick of it.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and home protein, yes, very high protein, and it's
- 2:11Speaker 2: so yummy, like you can never get sick of it.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It's so delicious. We're both addicted. Definitely a statepule in
- 2:15Speaker 1: our households. Alrighty, let's get into it. So we went
- 2:18Speaker 1: to Bali. We went four It was eight days in total,
- 2:21Speaker 1: actually eight days, which was so nice. We probably could
- 2:24Speaker 1: have done another three weeks. Oh my god, didn't have
- 2:26Speaker 1: children and a husband I would have had. It was
- 2:29Speaker 1: the best. We had so much fun and like going.
- 2:32Speaker 2: It was our first international trip together actually, so that
- 2:35Speaker 2: was cool when I had our girlfriend Meg come along
- 2:37Speaker 2: with us, and it was just so much fun.
- 2:40Speaker 1: I think around that time.
- 2:41Speaker 2: We all, all three of us really needed like a
- 2:44Speaker 2: bright reset, Yeah, like a full reset. I think we
- 2:47Speaker 2: were all dealing with our own things emotionally, things were
- 2:50Speaker 2: starting to feel really heavy, and we were just really
- 2:52Speaker 2: looking forward to taking off all the hats. I know
- 2:55Speaker 2: you were, especially, I.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Felt like I was just drowning in grief. Yeah, made
- 3:00Speaker 1: a big year, but I just felt like I was
- 3:02Speaker 1: kind of spiraling into a bit of a dark hole.
- 3:05Speaker 1: I can compartmentalize when I need to, like we need
- 3:07Speaker 1: to shop for the kids and go to work or whatever.
- 3:08Speaker 1: But yeah, I just felt really down and really drained
- 3:12Speaker 1: and really just yeah, that's the best way to put it.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I needed a break from everything. Yeah, Bali gave me
- 3:17Speaker 1: exactly that. Like literally, my biggest decisions each day were
- 3:20Speaker 1: what am I going to wear? And where are we
- 3:21Speaker 1: going to eat? And what TikTok video we're going to
- 3:23Speaker 1: film today. Honestly, it was just fun to be playful
- 3:26Speaker 1: and light energy, and it really did give me a
- 3:28Speaker 1: good resear and I came back feeling so much lighter,
- 3:31Speaker 1: which was good. So today we're going to go over
- 3:33Speaker 1: all the questions that we got asked when we were
- 3:35Speaker 1: in Bali, which was how much does it cost? Where
- 3:37Speaker 1: do you go? What your favorite cafes? Where do I
- 3:40Speaker 1: go to the day spas? How do I not get sick?
- 3:42Speaker 1: All those questions. If you're thinking about going to Bali,
- 3:45Speaker 1: or maybe you've been before and you have got sick,
- 3:46Speaker 1: you're not sure where to go Because honestly, Balley, if
- 3:50Speaker 1: you don't know where to go and what to do,
- 3:51Speaker 1: it could be not a fun trip. It could we
- 3:53Speaker 1: make or break the trip. Yeah, you could really make
- 3:55Speaker 1: a story out that you don't like Bali, but you
- 3:57Speaker 1: just know where to go and what to do. Let's
- 3:59Speaker 1: go over cost first, like how much should it cost
- 4:01Speaker 1: for us to go? So our flights were I think
- 4:03Speaker 1: eight hundred returns eight hundred, about nine hundred including baggage
- 4:07Speaker 1: and all that stuff, which isn't too bad. It's not
- 4:09Speaker 1: too bad rud. Yeah. And then our combination we booked
- 4:12Speaker 1: quite a nice filly. You can get a lot cheaper
- 4:14Speaker 1: than what we pay, but I think it was close
- 4:16Speaker 1: to three thousand dollars for their eight nights, Yes, that's right.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And it was for a three bedroom village. Yes, yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 1: nearly three thousand dollars. I think it's a little bit
- 4:23Speaker 1: more price you compared to a lot of other villas
- 4:25Speaker 1: I've stayed at. But also, if you go to Bali,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you can do it really cheap and still be nice.
- 4:29Speaker 1: All you can spend a bit more and your villa
- 4:30Speaker 1: will be like elite, like really really beautiful. So there
- 4:34Speaker 1: was that, and then something that we really recommend you
- 4:37Speaker 1: guys all downloading is an app called go Jack. This
- 4:40Speaker 1: is how we got around on our scooters. Or if
- 4:41Speaker 1: you don't want to go to scooter, you can go
- 4:43Speaker 1: in a car. It's kind of like uber. Yeah, you
- 4:45Speaker 1: can get all your food, your scooters and your cars,
- 4:47Speaker 1: and everything is so cheap, like each scooter ride was
- 4:50Speaker 1: like seventy five cents or something.
- 4:52Speaker 2: It is ridiculous, like it's unheard of. You see it
- 4:55Speaker 2: and you're just like, of course, I'm going to tip
- 4:56Speaker 2: you ten dollars. And they're so happy too, like when
- 4:59Speaker 2: you do, you just like tip them on the end
- 5:01Speaker 2: of their trip and give them cash as opposed to
- 5:03Speaker 2: doing it through the app as well. They're just so
- 5:05Speaker 2: grateful as well. Yes, that's a really convenient way to
- 5:08Speaker 2: get around in Bali. Something also to note as well
- 5:10Speaker 2: before you do travel to Bali is making sure that
- 5:12Speaker 2: you get insurance. So it'll probably cost you like one
- 5:15Speaker 2: hundred and sixty five dollars. We went through somewhere called cover.
- 5:18Speaker 1: More and you are painful to deal with, but we
- 5:21Speaker 1: got it. Yeah, oh yeah, that's right.
- 5:23Speaker 2: We did on the phone because we did all three
- 5:25Speaker 2: at the same time and they were all on separate insurances.
- 5:28Speaker 2: But something to do, especially if you're gonna be riding
- 5:30Speaker 2: like the scooters and stuff, making sure that you cover
- 5:32Speaker 2: that as well.
- 5:33Speaker 1: A percent that's a really good point. I got some
- 5:36Speaker 1: pash up before I left, and I also used my
- 5:38Speaker 1: card as well. They have rupia over there, so like
- 5:41Speaker 1: one hundred thousand dollars note over there is equivalent to
- 5:44Speaker 1: approximately ten dollars Australian. Yeah, so just keep that in
- 5:48Speaker 1: mind when you're spending. But I feel like most of
- 5:50Speaker 1: their restaurants and stuff, you can use what is it
- 5:53Speaker 1: called when you just beat you fine, like pay pass
- 5:55Speaker 1: or some pass. Yeah, yeah, what is that called? You
- 5:57Speaker 1: can use that for a lot of them. But most
- 5:58Speaker 1: of the time we did carry cash as well. We
- 6:00Speaker 1: all took out one thousand dollars to start with, yeah,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and then I did need to take out more when
- 6:05Speaker 1: I was there because we shopped. We like shopping, Yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 1: we do like showing. That was fun.
- 6:10Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a good amount of money just to
- 6:12Speaker 2: have just in case you need the cash. But like
- 6:14Speaker 2: what you said, everywhere, you can use your card anywhere,
- 6:16Speaker 2: so it.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Was pretty It doesn't really matter.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, especially if you're going to like the height end
- 6:20Speaker 2: restaurants and stuff like that, you don't really have anything
- 6:22Speaker 2: to worry about. And the ATMs and stuff that we
- 6:25Speaker 2: did use were like pretty safe. Yeah, you know, guarded
- 6:28Speaker 2: in glass boxes, that sort of thing. So for anyone
- 6:30Speaker 2: who hasn't been to Bali and you're a little bit
- 6:32Speaker 2: nervous about that sort of stuff, like, it's not really
- 6:35Speaker 2: something you have to fear, Like, don't let it stop
- 6:37Speaker 2: you from going to Bali because there is really safe
- 6:40Speaker 2: ways to get around and spend money and not get sick.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And then when it comes to the day spars, once again,
- 6:46Speaker 1: you can have really cheap on the side of the
- 6:48Speaker 1: road or you can go to a little bit more
- 6:49Speaker 1: of a I don't know, flashier day spar Ye. Our
- 6:52Speaker 1: favorite was Spring that's in Chengu, it's in Ulasu, and
- 6:55Speaker 1: it's also in Semnyak. You the one in Semnyak the
- 6:58Speaker 1: best massages we've ever had, amazing blow dries, the whole
- 7:02Speaker 1: day call, like everything about that day spar was so beautiful.
- 7:05Speaker 1: It was a little bit more expensive, like you can
- 7:07Speaker 1: literally go to one on the side of the road
- 7:09Speaker 1: and you'll pay ten dollars for an hour massage, whereas
- 7:12Speaker 1: there I think it was more around the forty dollars, yeah,
- 7:15Speaker 1: for an hour, but it was so good. So once
- 7:17Speaker 1: again it turns on where you go and what you do.
- 7:19Speaker 1: But it is really cheap. It can spend that little
- 7:20Speaker 1: bit more and you can go to have a really
- 7:22Speaker 1: nice experience.
- 7:23Speaker 2: We got a facial massage and blow dry and that
- 7:27Speaker 2: was insane, like so good, best facial, best massage I've
- 7:31Speaker 2: ever had. And then also like that was the whole
- 7:34Speaker 2: experience itself for a moment we walked into, the moment
- 7:36Speaker 2: we left, I was like, wow, hands down, that was
- 7:38Speaker 2: an incredible spa. And then sometimes you just want to
- 7:41Speaker 2: go and you just want to get a massage and
- 7:42Speaker 2: you know, go to like the ones on the side.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Of the road or yeah, we got quite a few
- 7:45Speaker 1: shoulder massages. Yeah, it was beautiful and it was so cheap. Yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 1: like ten bucks whatever and an hour shoulder and head massage. Yeah,
- 7:52Speaker 1: so good. Okay, what do we pack to go to Bali? Honestly,
- 7:56Speaker 1: I would just recommend a lot of light clothes, a
- 7:58Speaker 1: lot of light dresses, bikinis, sarongs, thongs, kind of thongs,
- 8:05Speaker 1: all of the gymware. If you're not to go to the
- 8:07Speaker 1: gym sneakers of course, hats, and then if you are
- 8:10Speaker 1: going to be traveling on the gojecs during the middle
- 8:12Speaker 1: of the day, we took like white linen shirts to
- 8:15Speaker 1: wear over the top. Like we went from Chagu up
- 8:17Speaker 1: to Lawashu for one of the days and that was
- 8:19Speaker 1: at least in our scooter rides. We just covered ourselves up,
- 8:22Speaker 1: switting it to sunburn. But yeah, just lots of light
- 8:25Speaker 1: clothes and if you don't take a lot, they've got
- 8:26Speaker 1: beautiful markets and stores that you can pick up all
- 8:28Speaker 1: that kind of stuff as well. Yeah, that's really cool.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Also a big bag for adventure days, so if you
- 8:33Speaker 1: are going to the beach up or Lawasho, or you're
- 8:35Speaker 1: going on a tour or something, just like a big
- 8:36Speaker 1: bag to check everything in. Yeah, which you can also
- 8:39Speaker 1: buy over there as well. And Mozzie spray. Oh my god,
- 8:41Speaker 1: Mozzie spray. Yes, yes, I did take a natural and
- 8:43Speaker 1: mossy spray over then. A lot of the cafes and
- 8:45Speaker 1: restaurants do have them, but if you are one that
- 8:48Speaker 1: tends to get bitten, they can be bad over there. Yeah.
- 8:50Speaker 2: There was one night to get like bitten the fair
- 8:52Speaker 2: few times. Yeah, but just that one night, just that
- 8:55Speaker 2: one night. Other than that, the rest were pretty fine.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay, the biggest question we got was how not
- 9:01Speaker 1: to get sick. We've got a few tips on this.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Both town and I have been to Bali so many times.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I've only ever been sick twice. The first time I went,
- 9:09Speaker 1: I went with another family and we ate a salad
- 9:12Speaker 1: and it was washed in the water. So that was
- 9:14Speaker 1: not a good time. And I knew nothing about balley
- 9:16Speaker 1: belly either. And I've probably been fifteen times since and
- 9:19Speaker 1: haven't been sick. The last time I was sick, it
- 9:21Speaker 1: wasn't barley belly. It was actually food poisoning. We all
- 9:23Speaker 1: shared these pancakes and I reckon the eggs or something
- 9:25Speaker 1: were off. Yeah, so it wasn't actually barley belly. But
- 9:27Speaker 1: what we recommend is focusing on your gut health before
- 9:30Speaker 1: you go, so doing your course of probotics. Having our
- 9:32Speaker 1: gluted mine to really line your gut is key. And
- 9:36Speaker 1: we took a gut powder over there as well. We
- 9:38Speaker 1: had that every day. Avoid all tap water. Yeah, don't
- 9:41Speaker 1: brush your teeth when you're in the shower, keep your
- 9:43Speaker 1: head out, eaving mouth clothes, keep your mouth closed like
- 9:46Speaker 1: a couple of drops the water. If you've got a
- 9:47Speaker 1: week's stomach, you could get really sick. And then also
- 9:50Speaker 1: we don't drink, but make had a couple of drinks
- 9:52Speaker 1: at Fins, and I remember you saying that alcohol you
- 9:55Speaker 1: just don't know what ice they're using to mix with
- 9:57Speaker 1: it and what they're mixing in with it. And she
- 9:59Speaker 1: felt pretty off after having a couple of drinks at Fins.
- 10:02Speaker 1: She didn't get fully sick, but she felt she was like, oh,
- 10:04Speaker 1: this does not feel good. Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: There was one specific drink that she had where she
- 10:08Speaker 2: was like something about this drink actually takes really funny.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And I mentioned to Meg that over in Bali they
- 10:13Speaker 2: have this this like their version of vodka. I think
- 10:15Speaker 2: it's called like a rack or something like that, and
- 10:17Speaker 2: it's just a cheaper version that they use at the
- 10:19Speaker 2: nightclubs and the clubs and all that sort of stuff.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Super super cheap, but will absolutely make you feel it's
- 10:24Speaker 2: like jet fuel.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It's disgusting.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Right, So even if you like, yeah, like what
- 10:28Speaker 2: you said, like, we don't drink, but even if you
- 10:29Speaker 2: do drink, making sure that you're getting the bottled stuff
- 10:32Speaker 2: as opposed to open drinks. You run the risk of
- 10:35Speaker 2: anything that is open with lots of ice and water
- 10:37Speaker 2: and all that stuff. So you just gotta be really
- 10:39Speaker 2: careful with what you are consuming because that will definitely
- 10:41Speaker 2: make a difference in whether you get sick or not.
- 10:43Speaker 1: I always say no ice doesn't matter where I'm at,
- 10:46Speaker 1: and even say, oh we use Aqua, which is their
- 10:48Speaker 1: brand of filtered water. I just get no ice no
- 10:50Speaker 1: matter what. Another thing I took, which Megan ended up
- 10:53Speaker 1: using most days we forgot but is Traveland tub yets.
- 10:56Speaker 1: You can get them from a pharmacy. It just prevents
- 10:59Speaker 1: traveler's diarrheas. So any countries like Bali or Thailand or Vietnam,
- 11:02Speaker 1: they reckon take those before your main meals, which took
- 11:05Speaker 1: them a couple of times. But if you're really paranoid,
- 11:07Speaker 1: that's another thing to take. And then obviously you can
- 11:10Speaker 1: speak with your doctor and get advice from them. But
- 11:13Speaker 1: charcoal tablets are incredible to get rid of. Miley belly
- 11:16Speaker 1: Ta shot it twice because he would suck a sum Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: so he would like, yeah, just put it in water
- 11:20Speaker 1: or like have a shower, and then he suck as
- 11:22Speaker 1: some afterwards. He had it twice and I gave him
- 11:24Speaker 1: charcoal tablets. With half an hour he stopped vomiting. So
- 11:27Speaker 1: I think they're really good and I always travel with
- 11:29Speaker 1: them just in case. Yeah, that's good.
- 11:31Speaker 2: I haven't used this in a long time, but I know,
- 11:33Speaker 2: like from being younger and when I have once gotten
- 11:36Speaker 2: sick before, I used something called emodium. I obviously don't
- 11:39Speaker 2: know if it's productive, because you probably want to get
- 11:41Speaker 2: it out. It stops you from having to go to
- 11:43Speaker 2: the toilet so frequently. Yeah, so it like stops that
- 11:46Speaker 2: like urge to like constantly be sitting on the toilet
- 11:49Speaker 2: kind of thing.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Yeah, you know you're right that you kind of do
- 11:51Speaker 1: want to get it out. Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 2: Yeah, that's something that I used probably like when I
- 11:54Speaker 2: was seventeen.
- 11:55Speaker 1: Yeah, would I use it now? I'm not sure, but
- 11:57Speaker 1: I've heard that it's yeah, good man. You guys can
- 11:59Speaker 1: do your own research or sure what you want to do. Yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 1: But honestly, just the gut powder was the biggest one.
- 12:03Speaker 1: What's it called Metagenics, that's the brand Glutagenics and Gluegenics. Yeah,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and then I got an ivy drip over there because
- 12:10Speaker 1: I felt run down. I didn't have Ballei belly, but
- 12:12Speaker 1: I asked the lady that was doing it, the nurse,
- 12:14Speaker 1: and she said, so many people come and get this
- 12:16Speaker 1: when they've got Ballei belly or when they hungover. Yeah,
- 12:19Speaker 1: it's the most common things that she's treating. So if
- 12:21Speaker 1: you do get Bali belly, you can order a mobile
- 12:23Speaker 1: ivy drip and they come to your fula or your
- 12:24Speaker 1: hotel and of course may about two hundred dollars. I
- 12:27Speaker 1: got into like an immune boosting hydrating one. Yeah, but
- 12:30Speaker 1: that's always an option too. Yeah, that's what got to
- 12:33Speaker 1: say about getting sick now. Locations that we recommend. What's
- 12:36Speaker 1: your favorite location in Bali?
- 12:38Speaker 2: Location is in like area or places? Two area Chengu
- 12:42Speaker 2: and Uluwatu.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, so good.
- 12:45Speaker 2: Both different vibes though, Like Changu is very hustle and bustle.
- 12:48Speaker 2: It's where everything is kind of happening. If you want
- 12:50Speaker 2: to be in and amongst everything, go to Chegu because
- 12:53Speaker 2: you can walk.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Outside your place and there'll be a cafe down the road. Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: and a massage and everything's so close by.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Whereas Uluwatu more slower feel to it, but it's less touristy,
- 13:03Speaker 2: feels more like local live there. Still really beautiful, but
- 13:07Speaker 2: if much more calm.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm the same. I love Chegu it turnds where
- 13:10Speaker 1: I go with to be honest, if I'm going with
- 13:12Speaker 1: my family or my mum. I always stay in Semnac
- 13:15Speaker 1: because everything's walking distance. Yeah, whereas Chegu I like better
- 13:18Speaker 1: because I feel like they've got more variety with cafes
- 13:20Speaker 1: and restaurants and it's more up and coming. There's a
- 13:22Speaker 1: lot more shops, a lot more hustling bustle. But my
- 13:24Speaker 1: mom won't go on scooters, and I wouldn't take Tiler
- 13:26Speaker 1: on a scooter. So to go on a car and
- 13:28Speaker 1: get around Chengu, oh, it takes so long, takes so long.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So Semnyak for more families and with my mum and
- 13:34Speaker 1: then with girlfriends like Changu, and then all of ur
- 13:37Speaker 1: too actually got married up there, So I always love
- 13:38Speaker 1: it up there. It's so beautiful. You're on the cliff
- 13:40Speaker 1: tops with all the restaurants, a lot of the beach
- 13:42Speaker 1: clubs up there, and the beaches. We went to p
- 13:45Speaker 1: Dang Bedang Beach and that's one of the most beautiful beaches.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Got like the rocks and the caves, and that's where
- 13:49Speaker 1: a lot of people will go out to get surf
- 13:51Speaker 1: lessons as well, even if you go to Semnac or Changu.
- 13:53Speaker 1: We did a day trip up there and it was
- 13:55Speaker 1: so nice to go up there just for a change
- 13:57Speaker 1: of scenery.
- 13:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and it costs ten dollars on the gojack to
- 14:01Speaker 2: get a scooter up there for an hour. So to
- 14:04Speaker 2: some context of like how much thing cost.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That beach was beautiful, it was stunning. Got to be packed,
- 14:09Speaker 1: it got packed, very busy. It must be like a
- 14:11Speaker 1: very popular beach, I think. So so we went to
- 14:13Speaker 1: We went there, and then we went to like a
- 14:15Speaker 1: beach club and a day club after that, so El Cobron. Yeah,
- 14:18Speaker 1: it was really cool to have.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Both experiences where we're like, just go to the beach, chill,
- 14:22Speaker 2: hang out, swim and then go sit there and eat
- 14:24Speaker 2: and just vibe out to the music.
- 14:26Speaker 1: It was so fun. Yeah, so we only went to Alkron.
- 14:29Speaker 1: There's so many other beach clubs, but Abron was a vibe. Yeah,
- 14:32Speaker 1: it wasn't super packed, which was kind of good, I suppose,
- 14:35Speaker 1: but then if you want to people watch, if you
- 14:37Speaker 1: want more people.
- 14:38Speaker 2: So I remember when we first went there, like you
- 14:41Speaker 2: have to pay to sit somewhere, and you can't sit
- 14:43Speaker 2: anywhere else other than the restaurant. So they must only
- 14:46Speaker 2: let like a certain amount of numbers in.
- 14:47Speaker 1: It's quite expensive, actually it is. Yeah, we pay each
- 14:51Speaker 1: like two forty each.
- 14:52Speaker 2: So I think the minimum was like one hundred and
- 14:54Speaker 2: fifty dollars per person just to come inside and.
- 14:57Speaker 1: That on food and drinks. But it's still quite expensive,
- 14:59Speaker 1: but not all of it.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember there was like a fee, yeah, and
- 15:03Speaker 2: then the rest was a credit.
- 15:05Speaker 1: But it's worth it. It's an experience. It's fun. They
- 15:07Speaker 1: have music vibing like we had a really good time. Yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 1: it was good fun. You watched the sunset. Our sunset
- 15:10Speaker 1: wasn't great because was a bit cloudy, but on a
- 15:13Speaker 1: good day it would have been beautiful. We did stay
- 15:14Speaker 1: there for a while though, Yeah, we all Avoh okay,
- 15:18Speaker 1: our favorite place is to eat and why will start
- 15:20Speaker 1: with Brecky Our absolute favorite, I know, mine is Copenhagen
- 15:24Speaker 1: Open Egg and oh it's so good, so good. How
- 15:27Speaker 1: do you describe it? It's not a buff favorite. They
- 15:29Speaker 1: basically give you this piece of paper and it's got
- 15:31Speaker 1: all these different options and you just tick what you
- 15:33Speaker 1: want and you choose like five for seventeen dollars or
- 15:36Speaker 1: something ridiculous. We've got sweet and savory and oh it's
- 15:40Speaker 1: just really good quality food.
- 15:41Speaker 2: They'd have like fruit bowls and then they'd have cheap
- 15:44Speaker 2: pudding things, sae.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Bowls, little burgers, little burgers, you have the bre like suns, eggs,
- 15:50Speaker 1: like all different things. Just if you want to go
- 15:52Speaker 1: somewhere and you want variety, it's a really good place
- 15:54Speaker 1: to go because you do you do those deals like
- 15:56Speaker 1: what you were talking about. It's just good. You know,
- 15:58Speaker 1: it's going to be good every time. Another place we
- 16:00Speaker 1: ate for breky was called Milk and Mado. That was
- 16:02Speaker 1: actually tried it for breakfast and lunch so good. And
- 16:05Speaker 1: they've got them changu Ulauatu Barawa. Yeah they had one. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:11Speaker 1: so they've got them quite a few places around. But yeah,
- 16:13Speaker 1: really big menu, lots of variety and good quality food.
- 16:16Speaker 1: And the one in Chenggu has a kid's playground which
- 16:19Speaker 1: is really cool if you got kids, I just like
- 16:20Speaker 1: play while you eat a big the one that Ila
- 16:22Speaker 1: Wat does as well. Oh yeah, that's right. And then
- 16:26Speaker 1: the common. We went to the common which was really
- 16:28Speaker 1: yummy and the corn fruit is are really good. Then
- 16:30Speaker 1: lunch milk and Maato which I just said nude is
- 16:32Speaker 1: another one that I really really love. That's in Chenggu.
- 16:35Speaker 1: And then Watercress that was really Yeah, that was good
- 16:38Speaker 1: dinner tell us about the dinner. Grumpy Butcher, No, the
- 16:42Speaker 1: Long Time. Oh there's so many though.
- 16:45Speaker 2: The Grumpy Butcher was one of the first locations that
- 16:47Speaker 2: we went to. The steak is out of this world,
- 16:51Speaker 2: like best aig guve ever had, best steak, hands down,
- 16:53Speaker 2: hands down, and it was probably like I think the
- 16:55Speaker 2: one that we got that we loved was about sixty
- 16:57Speaker 2: something dollar.
- 16:58Speaker 1: It was still Australian prices, but oh just like melts
- 17:01Speaker 1: in your mouth. But for the best steak I've ever had.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I'm so impressed.
- 17:05Speaker 2: One hundred and fifty for that easy easy, It was insane.
- 17:08Speaker 2: I highly recommend going there if you're a state girly
- 17:11Speaker 2: then Long Time was incredible.
- 17:15Speaker 1: This place was like was it modern Asian? Yeah? Modern Nation.
- 17:18Speaker 2: I was so taken back, all of us were. We
- 17:20Speaker 2: were all sitting there like eating the meals and like
- 17:23Speaker 2: not saying anything to each other, faceless, just having a
- 17:26Speaker 2: full experience there. We went one night and then we
- 17:29Speaker 2: were like, oh, screw it, we should go back, and
- 17:31Speaker 2: ended up meeting like the owner there.
- 17:32Speaker 1: She was really lovely from Melbourne. From Melbourne. It was
- 17:34Speaker 1: so yummy, like every single dish, the way the meat
- 17:36Speaker 1: was cooked, the way it was marinated. The desserts were
- 17:39Speaker 1: deserts I've never had in my whole entire life. It
- 17:42Speaker 1: was delicious. Like if you gonna know a one restaurant
- 17:44Speaker 1: long time, it has to be it. Yeah, and then
- 17:46Speaker 1: back on the steak. So the grandpeople. Butcher also has
- 17:49Speaker 1: like a sister restaurant called Boy and Cow just as good. Yeah,
- 17:52Speaker 1: so friggin yummy. We also went to a place in
- 17:55Speaker 1: Semnac called food House that was on our last night.
- 17:58Speaker 1: That was really good too. That was really good. Lots
- 18:00Speaker 1: of variety that was up there For me as well,
- 18:01Speaker 1: I was tired modern tire. Yeah, if you like spicy,
- 18:05Speaker 1: they have lots of spicy dishes. True, and if you
- 18:07Speaker 1: were a seafood girl, you highly recommend their stuff is
- 18:10Speaker 1: really good. But even for a non seafood or non
- 18:12Speaker 1: spicy like, I got so many dishes that were not those.
- 18:15Speaker 1: It's really got a lot of variety, lots of variety. Yeah,
- 18:17Speaker 1: what do we even get? What was that salad that
- 18:19Speaker 1: you got? Oh? I love papaya salad. It was fresh.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And we got this like donut beef roll. It sounds
- 18:25Speaker 1: so weird. It's like a donut with shredded beef inside
- 18:27Speaker 1: and it was next level. I remember seeing you guys
- 18:29Speaker 1: eat that and I was like, what is that summy? Yeah,
- 18:32Speaker 1: there was that. What do we get. We've got steak, seafood.
- 18:35Speaker 2: Stuff, chicken, I got some prawn like appetizers, beef beef tate.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Yeah, that is just hands down, always so good. So
- 18:43Speaker 1: that's probably the main things that we wanted to go over.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We hope just this gives you more confidence to go
- 18:48Speaker 1: to Bali. It it's honestly such a beautiful country. So
- 18:50Speaker 1: the one country that I just feel like I can
- 18:52Speaker 1: go through and completely switch off and relax like everywhere
- 18:55Speaker 1: else is just it's a bit more adventurer. I have
- 18:57Speaker 1: been there that much, so it's not familiar. I feel
- 19:00Speaker 1: like I have to plan a lot more was over there.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm just like, oh, it's gonna go jump on a scooter,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I go to a cafe, like, get a massage. It's
- 19:06Speaker 1: just ultimate reset. And then we also sold out two retreats. Yeah.
- 19:10Speaker 1: It was crazy. Yeah, it was so insane the way
- 19:14Speaker 1: that that all kind of unfolded. It happened.
- 19:16Speaker 2: It was something that we were looking at doing a
- 19:18Speaker 2: little later in the year around October, but just we
- 19:21Speaker 2: were in the Bali Energy and we were having so
- 19:23Speaker 2: much fun and it's exactly what we needed. And so
- 19:25Speaker 2: while we were there, we were just like, all right,
- 19:27Speaker 2: like this, so look.
- 19:28Speaker 1: At the venue. We planned to look at the venue
- 19:30Speaker 1: and we were walked in, we were like, oh, oh
- 19:32Speaker 1: my god, this is amazing. And then we just launched it.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Yeah, and it sold out, and we launched another one
- 19:38Speaker 2: and so and then that's sold out.
- 19:39Speaker 1: Yes, we've got to one in May and one a September.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Next room, we're already like, how do we do one
- 19:43Speaker 1: in June or July? Yeah, like how do we make
- 19:45Speaker 1: that happen? Because yeah, there's a bit of a weight
- 19:47Speaker 1: list now as it's obviously booked out. There's forty eight
- 19:49Speaker 1: women coming. We've got girls coming from America, Canada, New
- 19:52Speaker 1: Zealand and then all around Australia. Are so incredible, insane,
- 19:56Speaker 1: so freaking cool. So if you want to be on

- 20:05Speaker 1: to launch another retreat. Maybe we'll do something in Australia,

- 20:10Speaker 1: of episodes. The retreats are booked out. We do have
- 20:13Speaker 1: a live event in October. We would love to see
