Cindy Marler: How are you determining what love is? What love looks like? What love means? How love acts. Are you letting movies decide that? Are you letting music? Are you letting a popular musician tell you what love is and isn't and how it acts and what it looks like? Well, I've got some really good news for you. The Bible tells us. We don't have to wonder and we don't have to trust a trendy music artist to tell us because the Bible tells us tells us right there in First Corinthians chapter 13 verse 4. I'm gonna read it to you. Love is patient, love is kind, love is not jealous, love doesn't brag. Love isn't proud. Love doesn't dishonor others. Love is not self seeking. Love is not easily angered. Love keeps no record of wrong. Love rejoices with truth. Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. It never fails. Let's stop using the measuring stick of what love is or isn't. From pop culture or from Disney or from popular movies. Let's instead use the Bible as our measuring stick for what love is and what love isn't. Because God is love from First John four, chapter eight.
