- 0:00SPEAKER_00: You're afraid of feeling the uncomfortable emotions, but you're already feeling it.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: It's a lot more work to avoid it or resist it than to actually feel it.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: Because when you actually feel it, it doesn't last for that long.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: In childhood, there's ultimately this conflict between your authentic self and the self you have to be in order to get your needs met.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 0:24SPEAKER_00: I'm Elise Bassine, trauma and breathwork expert and creator of the Metamorphosis Method, the only methodology bridging the gap between spiritual healing and clinical trauma work.
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: For many years, our consciousness has been hijacked by societal and cultural programming, religion, the media, and familial and ancestral trauma.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: In this podcast, you'll discover my unique perspective on trauma healing and how it is the gateway to fully reclaiming your consciousness.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: You'll hear stories and teachings that expand your mind as you discover how every relationship challenge, business block, or limiting pattern is an invitation to reclaim the parts of your consciousness you unknowingly gave away.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Get ready to go deep.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Now let's dive in.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: I am back in Philly.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: It was really fun to record that podcast from two weeks ago with Robin in person.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: I spent the week in Arizona, which was so nice.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: I think it was the first time in a very long time that I spent so much time just focusing on my own healing, self-care, and being in the sun, doing bod every day, the sauna, the steam, the pool.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: It was just really healing.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And I have a lot of insight, especially around healing on the level of the body and the way that we hold trauma in our bodies, it's just interesting because I feel like, you know, I've been on this journey for 25 plus years and doing breath work and different healing stuff for all this time.
- 2:05SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I think there's always different stages and different levels to it.
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: But I think for me, for so long, even though I understood the way energy moves in the body and the way that breath work works with the body to process emotions from the cells and the way that we hold things in the body, just recently I've come to a whole new understanding of the way that trauma is held in the body, and specifically just understanding it from my own body and being able to pinpoint exactly the places that I'm holding things and what those things are, like fear and you know, these really deep layers of wounding that are not processed through the conscious mind.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: They're not processed through thought.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: They are energetic imprints and energies and patterns that we took on from our parents, you know, in the womb.
- 3:08SPEAKER_00: And so much, you know, I've I talk about that all the time and I've processed so much around my own birth story.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: But now just really being able to pinpoint the exact places in my body where I'm holding these really deep patterns or emotions around fear and doubt, and just, you know, really being able to pinpoint those in the body, I think, has been a huge deepening for me.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: And I feel so strongly about it.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna weave it in and out of what I'm talking about today.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: But I do think that being able to process emotion on the level of the body is really the fastest way to create a shift.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I think it we have to kind of start where we're at.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: I think some people naturally are able to feel things more in their body.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: And I've had a lot of clients who are more oriented towards their physical body as an awareness way to process trauma.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: And some people will experience things like chronic pain before they're really aware of the emotions that are behind it.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: And it's similar, you know, in a breath work session, there'll be some people that will, you know, process emotion and cry and have emotions come up, whereas other people will have much more physical experiences where they will experience a lot of tingling or tightness or shaking.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: So everybody's different in terms of the way that they interpret and process emotion and the way that they relate to energy.
- 4:49SPEAKER_00: So it's just something that I feel like we need to explore all of the avenues and all of the inroads to transformation.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: And that's what I've always been about.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: So I had a really great experience just going deep into my own body with the help of some amazing body workers and one of my best friends who's an amazing body worker.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: So just coming off of that, I have a lot of thoughts to share, just around the fastest way to create transformation.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: And that's something that I've always been super passionate about is what is the fastest way to create transformation?
- 5:28SPEAKER_00: You know, and I think that that has evolved over time because things that worked for us 20 years ago are not going to work for us now because we are at a very different place in evolution, in consciousness as humans on the planet.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I think the energies are moving so much faster and the energies are completely different.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: And I wanted to touch on that too, because I'm sure you're all feeling energetic shifts, right?
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: And we've had all of these big astrology things happening with Neptune and Saturn moving into Aries, and now we have Uranus moving into Gemini.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: And basically, between last year and this year, we're having all of the outer planets switch signs, and all the outer planets move a lot slower and represent collective energetic shifts.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: The way that people interpret that can be different, and the way you feel it personally can be different.
- 6:27SPEAKER_00: But, you know, we see things happening in the collective and things happening on the world stage that are always a representation of those energies.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: But I also think it just affects the way that we do things as a collective.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: And I think it also affects the way that we work with healing and the way that we work with our bodies and the way that we work with ourselves.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: For example, something like breath work would have looked a lot different 20 years ago than it will look now.
- 6:59SPEAKER_00: And I think it's really important to be able to take these practices and the ancient wisdom that we know works, like, you know, a lot of the wisdom from the Eastern religions and yoga and Ayurveda and Buddhism and all of these things, but then be able to take that information and integrate it within ourselves and then use it based on where we're at now.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: So sometimes if we look at some of these ancient teachings or even things like breath work or yoga, we have to be able to take it and make it work for where we're at as humans right now, instead of just taking it as like a formula that's always gonna work.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: And I think that's something that is not always as widely talked about or widely known or understood by people because what I feel so strongly about, and I say this all the time with my clients, is the clients that I work with always, always, always who get the best results are the ones who take the information, concepts, insight, and reflections that I'm giving them and they make it their own.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: They integrate it into their body and their being, and then they figure out how to use all of that in a way that works for them because we're human beings and there's so much that is the same about all of us, but every one of us is a unique individual.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: And in order to get the most out of this type of work, you really have to become a student of yourself and understand the way that you specifically work with energy, work with reality, the way that you perceive things, what works best for you.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: And that's something that I just feel so strongly about because that's really the way is it's not about a formula or it's not just about doing breath work.
- 9:05SPEAKER_00: It's like, okay, how can we take a tool like breath work and understand it in this really deep way?
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: And I love helping people do that, but then be able to take that knowledge and understanding and integrate it into your own body and then use it in a way that is going to be best for you.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: And part of that includes trusting yourself, part of that means being willing to fail or mess up or do things that don't work.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: And part of it just means being really endlessly curious about how you can know yourself more, understand yourself more.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: But that also includes being willing to be really uncomfortable at times.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: And that is something that I think holds a lot of people back, maybe even unknowingly or in a subconscious way.
- 9:59SPEAKER_00: But the fear of having to face what is underneath the surface, a lot of times is what makes people want to outsource their power or just apply someone else's formula or just do things someone else's way.
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Because if you take that information and you really bring it into yourself, it requires you to look at whatever is making you afraid of trusting yourself or whatever reasons you think you can't trust your intuition or the deeper wounding around why you think that you're wrong or bad or shameful or guilty or not enough or not good enough.
- 10:42SPEAKER_00: So, in order to really be able to apply a lot of this work and get really tangible, permanent transformational results in the way that you want, it really requires being willing to be uncomfortable and look at those deeper emotions, look at the deeper wounds, and also look at the things that you are doing in your life now that aren't actually what you want to be doing.
- 11:13SPEAKER_00: And I think that is a really hard thing for people to look at because it's a threat to all of the safety mechanisms that we've created.
- 11:22SPEAKER_00: And a lot of times we build an entire life around this personality that we've created that is essentially a compilation of coping mechanisms to stay safe.
- 11:35SPEAKER_00: Because in childhood, there's ultimately this conflict between your authentic self and the self you have to be in order to get your needs met.
- 11:44SPEAKER_00: And those two things are constantly in conflict with each other.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: And then as you get older and you build an entire life around these coping mechanisms, then when you start to realize that it's not actually what you want, it can feel really scary to let it go because it feels like a threat to your survival, because you have built this version of you that feels like you have to be this certain way in order to survive and in order to get your needs met.
- 12:13SPEAKER_00: So just changing something, even though you can say it as, oh, I'm gonna change this, I'm gonna do this differently, I'm going to stop people pleasing, or I'm going to stop being so controlling, or whatever it is, but it's not as easy as just stopping.
- 12:29SPEAKER_00: There are deep patterns of energy running in your body that are telling you that it's a threat to your survival if you do this.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: So a lot of times something as simple as responding to an email from a potential client can literally feel like you're going to die if you do that.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And that's why.
- 12:50SPEAKER_00: And I think it's important to understand that because I see a lot of my clients gaslighting themselves and being like, well, I'm just lazy.
- 12:58SPEAKER_00: What's wrong with me that I'm not doing this?
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: And it's like because of all of these mechanisms you created to survive.
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: And at one point they worked.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: And it's actually really incredible that as humans, we're able to block certain things out of the psyche so that we can survive and we're able to create these versions of self to get our needs met and to survive.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: But then at a certain point, when you are desiring to grow into a more authentic version of yourself that feels better and that feels more expansive and allows you to really thrive and feel the truth and live the truth of who you are, then those things just have to be dismantled and it can be confronting and it can be challenging.
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: I kind of went off on a tangent there, but I say all that to say that I think now at this time on the planet with all of these energies and Aries.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: And if you're not familiar with astrology, again, I am not an astrologer.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: I just happen to have been studying astrology for 20 plus years, and I really take it as a guidance or a way to help me understand the energies that I'm already feeling.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: So it's not something where I'm like outsourcing my power to it of like, oh my God, we have to be afraid that Mercury's in retrograde or whatever the fuck.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I don't think about it like that, but I think about like, okay, this is what I'm feeling.
- 14:23SPEAKER_00: And now I'm looking at the current astrological weather forecast.
- 14:29SPEAKER_00: And that makes sense that I'm seeing clients going through these things.
- 14:33SPEAKER_00: It makes sense that I'm feeling this way.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: So with all of these planets in Aries right now, Aries is the beginning of the zodiac.
- 14:41SPEAKER_00: It's literally a rebirth.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: So you're probably going to be feeling like there's parts of you that don't really feel aligned anymore, or they're going to start to feel forced.
- 14:52SPEAKER_00: And I'm seeing this with a lot of my clients and myself, where you're just looking at certain things that you've been doing in your life or ways that you've been showing up in a relationship, or you know, at work or in your business or in your career.
- 15:08SPEAKER_00: And you're like, no, like this is not working for me anymore.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: I'm not doing this anymore.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: And it's not bad or wrong.
- 15:19SPEAKER_00: It's just that you're coming into more of an awareness of the truth of who you are.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And it's really impossible to do any that is in direct conflict with that or contrast with that.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: But it also feels scary to let those things go because, like I said, it feels like a threat to your survival.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: And that's what I see a lot of people coming up against right now.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: But if you know what's happening and you know that the emotions that are coming up are simply just coming up for you to acknowledge them and move through them because they've literally just been suppressed, living in your body and fueling the decisions you've made that are the survival mechanisms.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: If you just move through those feelings, then when you come out on the other side, things become so much more clear.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And it doesn't become the state of confusion of like, well, I really feel like I want this, but I'm not supposed to, or I'm gonna lose something, or it feels so uncomfortable to do this in the face of this whole life or existence I've created, or what are other people gonna think, or am I gonna lose somebody?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: But once you move through those emotions around the fear of not feeling safe, the fear of survival, the fear of losing love, then when you come out on the other side, and I'm telling you right now, I see this over and over and over and over and over again.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: I've seen it with myself countless times with clients.
- 16:51SPEAKER_00: When you come out on the other side of feeling those emotions, you feel so clear.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: And you're like, oh, duh, like this is simple.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: This is exactly what I'm supposed to do.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: And you know, and you just do it and you feel confident in it because the only thing that is clouding everything is the suppressed emotions that you haven't allowed yourself to face and feel.
- 17:14SPEAKER_00: I say all this to say that a lot of times what I see with people is that they're just stuck in a loop of trying to avoid these deeper emotions because the deeper emotions are not conscious, right?
- 17:29SPEAKER_00: It just feels like this low level discomfort or this low level anxiety or this kind of like thing lurking down there that you think you need to avoid.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: And so you kind of talk yourself out of it and you're like, that's silly.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: I shouldn't be feeling that way, or I should just be grateful for what I have, or I shouldn't feel this way.
- 17:50SPEAKER_00: And it's like, that's the dumbest thing you could ever do because there is a reason why you feel this way.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: And the more that you push it to the side, the more you're gonna just still be in this loop of, you know, self-doubt or indecision or confusion or thinking you're moving forward, but nothing's actually changing because you're trying to think differently, but you're not addressing the energetics that are living in the body that are creating the results you're getting.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: So, how do we address that in the most efficient way?
- 18:24SPEAKER_00: And to me, always and forever, and I've been on a quest to understand this more than half of my life at this point, is the breath work.
- 18:34SPEAKER_00: Because when we use a tool like the breath work and when we use it really intentionally and really specifically to address this deeper wounding in the subconscious, then it really is the fastest way to create a shift.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And I say this to my clients all the time.
- 18:53SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I know you're feeling uncomfortable right now, but this discomfort, these deeper emotions that feel really intense and like all you want to do is avoid them, that's your portal to getting what you want.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: And the fastest way to move through those is using the breath work.
- 19:15SPEAKER_00: Because when we use a tool like the breath, right, what's happening is you are first really forcing yourself to be present with what is there.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: And that's some, and I think that's why so many people feel confronted by the breath work or they avoid it or they feel like they don't want to do it, because we have been conditioned to avoid what is there, you know.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: And I always say things like anxiety are literally just built-up emotions that we haven't allowed ourselves to fully feel and process.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Because when you think of anxiety and like the way that it functions, to me, if I look at anxiety as like an energetic thing, it literally just feels like it's stuff like bubbling up.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: You're pressing it down and it's going down into like your belly and your lower chakras.
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: And then it just gets to be too much and it starts bubbling up.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: And then you start to feel uh like worry and overwhelm and fear.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: But all it is is emotion that wants to be felt and moved.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: And yeah, sometimes it's uncomfortable, but it usually doesn't last for that long.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: And I always joke with people, I'm like, yeah, you're afraid of feeling the uncomfortable emotions, but you're already feeling it.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: It's a lot more work to avoid it or resist it than to actually feel it.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: Cause when you actually feel it, it doesn't last for that long.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: And if you know how to feel it, which is something that I have really perfected, if you know how to move through that arc of emotion and come out on the other side, it really doesn't feel as bad or take as long as you think.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sometimes you feel really low for a little bit or you feel really sad or really uncomfortable or angry.
- 21:03SPEAKER_00: But when you come out on the other side, you're free instead of low-level trying to suppress it for so long.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: And that takes a lot of energy.
- 21:13SPEAKER_00: And if you're exhausted all the time and you are constantly trying to like force yourself to do things, I guarantee you part of it is because you're using a lot of energy to suppress unconscious emotion.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: And the way you would know that you're doing that is not just if you're tired, but also if there is something that you keep spinning in, right?
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Or something you're wanting that is not happening, or a pattern you keep recreating, or a block or challenge that you keep coming up against.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: If that is happening, there is an unconscious, suppressed emotion that is holding you in place that you keep like spinning your wheels on, right?
- 21:54SPEAKER_00: So when we use a tool like the breath work, you are confronting what's there and you're being Present with what is there.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: And then you feel it and you move it.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: You move the energy in the body using the breath.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: And then it processes and it integrates.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: And you may feel it as an emotion.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: You may feel it or be aware of it as a memory.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: You may feel it, like I said, on the level of the body.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: Like I have a lot of clients who say, like, I was just like shaking and my body got really tense, but then I moved through it and it dissipated.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, you have like this opening or this clearing where everything becomes different and clear, and you have a new level of awareness and a new perspective.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: So that's why I feel so passionately, especially right now, about teaching as many people as I can how to use the breath work specifically to end long-standing patterns or challenges, especially those places where you feel like you've been stuck or repeating the same thing.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Or maybe it's evolved a little bit, but it's still like low-key happening.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: Or there's something you've been wanting to move forward on, like starting a business or learning how to work with clients, or learning how to do something new to help people, but you haven't been able to take that step forward.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: This is how you take that step forward because the only thing stopping you is just something in the subconscious on an energetic and emotional level that you just haven't been ready to acknowledge yet.
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: I think being able to use this tool for yourself is incredibly helpful.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: And I don't know that there's anything more or better than being able to process emotion in this way.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: It's just the most efficient and it's the fastest, you know?
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: And then there's something so valuable about being able to hold space for others in this way as well, which is why I, and you guys have probably seen this, but I'm doing this level one metamorphosis method, breath work certification, because of this.
- 24:18SPEAKER_00: And I wanted to be able to create something that wasn't as big of a commitment as my full certification, but where I could train as many people as possible to be able to use this specific type of breath work to accelerate their own results, but also be able to hold space for others because there is something really powerful in your own growth process when you can help somebody else do the thing that you're doing.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: And there's a lot of reasons for that.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna talk about a few of them.
- 24:53SPEAKER_00: I think there's a lot of Buddhist principles that really resonate with me.
- 24:57SPEAKER_00: And one of them is around karma or planting seeds or the way that energy kind of is cyclical and the way that energy works, right?
- 25:06SPEAKER_00: And when you are going through a process or you are wanting to create something, energetically, if you help somebody else with that, it actually helps you create it faster.
- 25:19SPEAKER_00: And this is one of the Buddhist principles that I absolutely love because it's worked so well for me for so long.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: And I really think there's something to it on an energetic level.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: The principle is kind of like they call it planting seeds, right?
- 25:34SPEAKER_00: So, for example, if you wanted to make$50,000, the way to do it through this lens would be to help somebody else make$50,000.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: And then it's like you've planted these karmic seeds so that energetically you will be able to do the same thing, right?
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean you don't still take action and do all the things, but on an energetic level, you're like creating this karmic pathway for yourself to be able to do the same thing.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: So that's why, along with being able to use breath work to accelerate your own results, whether or not you desire to work with clients, being able to hold space for people and doing it even as just an energetic exchange, it accelerates your results.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And I always say that my clients who have done my certification, who are fiercely dedicated to their own personal growth process, they are by far the best practitioners.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: And the reason why is because you can't take somebody somewhere that you've never gone yourself.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: And in order to be a really good practitioner, you have to be able to hold space for people to go further, to go deeper and to explore different traumas or things that have happened that are holding them back.
- 27:02SPEAKER_00: And if you haven't gone to that depth within yourself, it doesn't mean you have to have the same experiences as them or the same trauma as them, quote unquote, or the same kind of childhood.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: But if you have gone to that level of depth within yourself, then you will have no problem holding space for somebody else to do the same thing, right?
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: So I think that is a really important piece of this, too, is that being able to be a facilitator is directly related to you doing your own work and going through your own process.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: And I always found it so surprising and shocking to me that in all of the training I had as a counselor and a therapist, nobody talks about.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: I mean, I think maybe they touch on a little that you should be in therapy or whatever.
- 27:51SPEAKER_00: But to me, that is the biggest, most important skill set that you can have as a practitioner is being fiercely dedicated to your own growth and evolution and going deeper into your own personal process all the time.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Because then you just get to be a much stronger practitioner, and your ability to hold space is so powerful, right?
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: That's why I'm doing the certification as well, because you're gonna get this experience of doing exchanges, learning to facilitate, and the power that comes from you when you are present with somebody else and creating a safe space for them.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Because there's some sort of alchemy that happens there.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: And I've been trying to think about how to explain this because there almost aren't words for it, but you start to see yourself in a much different way and your confidence skyrockets.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: So even if you work with clients in a different way and you hadn't really been thinking about incorporating breath work into what you do, learning how to facilitate breath work with clients will make you better at anything you do.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: Even if you are in a corporate job, but you obviously have to talk to people and you have to run meetings or you have to insert your opinion, or you have to share your view or what you think.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: When you learn how to be present with somebody and hold space for them during a breath work session, you will a hundred percent be better at all of those things.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Public speaking, relating to people, being able to be really present when someone is speaking to you without thinking about what you're gonna say next, or without thinking about how they're perceiving you or being in your head and being worried about being criticized or rejected or whatever it is, you get so much better at just being present.
- 30:03SPEAKER_00: And when you are really present for somebody, they feel it and they're magnetized towards you.
- 30:11SPEAKER_00: And I know this from experience because, you know, I always tell the story of when I was a school counselor and my first year, and I worked in a school that had a lot of kids with a lot of trauma, you know, was in the inner city.
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: And I immediately, you know, would start talking to these kids and they'd been through horrific things that I couldn't even imagine ever being through.
- 30:34SPEAKER_00: And I immediately was like, there's no way I can like quote unquote fix their problems.
- 30:40SPEAKER_00: Like that's not a thing.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: So what I learned really quickly was that all I could do was be present with them.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: And what I started to realize is that that was such a gift for them because they really had never had anybody in their life who had the capacity to just sit and be a hundred percent present with them while they were sharing, while they were talking, while they were coloring.
- 31:10SPEAKER_00: And to have somebody hold that space for you and just be a hundred percent present, a hundred percent attuned, it was so healing and transformational for them.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: And what I realized is I was like, oh, that's all I need to do, because that's such a gift.
- 31:27SPEAKER_00: And we don't realize as humans how much we need that.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: Because if you think about it, how often do you experience having a conversation with somebody and you feel that they are a hundred percent with you?
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: And if you do, I bet you you feel a hundred percent connected to that person and you walk away from that conversation being like, whoa, that was so cool.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: I love that person.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: I felt this immediate connection.
- 31:56SPEAKER_00: I feel so powerful within myself because I feel a hundred percent seen.
- 32:01SPEAKER_00: And to me, that's so much of like the wounding that we experience in childhood is not only things that happened, it's a lot of times what didn't happen and not having somebody who had the capacity to just be a hundred percent present with you and attuned with you, and creating a safe space for you to process your own emotions.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: And it's interesting because the other day I had a client telling me how she was explaining to somebody else what the work is that we're doing.
- 32:34SPEAKER_00: And she's somebody that I'm actually working with in person.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: So she was kind of describing, you know, the work we do in person with the breath work.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: And she said, you know, it's different than anything else I've ever done because it's not like anyone is giving you advice or telling you what they think.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: It's literally just you exploring and processing your own emotions and then coming to your own conclusions and understandings that are unique to you based on someone else holding space and being present for you to come to your own conclusions on your own.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: And you guys know because I talk about this all the time, I am such a huge proponent of allowing people to go through their own process.
- 33:15SPEAKER_00: I rarely ever tell people what to do.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: I always say I'm not in the business of telling people what to do because to me that doesn't work anyway, right?
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Like if I had somebody who had a drinking problem come to me and be like, you know, all of these things are falling apart in my life.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: And I was like, well, just stop drinking.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: And it's like, well, don't you think they fucking would have done that already if they could?
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Like, that's not the solution.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: The solution is like, okay, well, let me help you get to the reason why you are drinking.
- 33:48SPEAKER_00: Like, where did this start?
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: What are you using alcohol as a coping mechanism for?
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: And then I'm going to hold space for you and be present with you while you process that.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna reflect back to you what I see.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna ask you questions to help you go deeper, but I'm not going to tell you what to do because that doesn't function as a tool for transformation.
- 34:12SPEAKER_00: It functions as a way to just make somebody wrong, make them feel bad about themselves.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: And then by feeling bad about themselves, they're going to be motivated to try to change a behavior, which doesn't function.
- 34:24SPEAKER_00: Because if you try to change a behavior because you think you're bad or wrong, you're just going to change the behavior for a little bit, then go back to what you were doing, and that's going to enforce the idea that you're bad or wrong.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: So that doesn't work.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: So that's why a tool like breathwork is so important because it allows the person to go through their own process and process their own emotions and then come up with how they want to move forward that is unique and authentic to them.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: And as a practitioner, it's so important to learn how to hold that space without projecting, without having skin in the game, because it's their process, you know, and you can share your reflections or what you're seeing.
- 35:11SPEAKER_00: But ultimately, this tool is about you.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: And it's about you finding you, and then being able to confidently take action on what is authentic and true for you.
- 35:25SPEAKER_00: And being able to hold space for somebody to do that is one of the most powerful things that you can learn how to do because you will be able to use it in every area of your life to be more successful, to be more magnetic, and to feel more present and in your body in all experiences in your life.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: So if you're somebody that is in your head a lot and you know, social functions are not really fun for you because you are feeling everyone else's energy and you're worrying about what everybody thinks, and it's overwhelming for you.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: Learning how to facilitate breath work and be present for somebody breathing will help that pretty much go away.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: And I've seen it, I've seen it with myself and I've seen it with other people, where it's like, oh my gosh, this low-level anxiety that I have had from almost my entire life that I just have to deal with when I'm in public, it's pretty much gone.
- 36:28SPEAKER_00: And I'm able to be present and in my body when I'm around other people, when I'm meeting new people, when I'm in social situations, and it no longer feels uncomfortable.
- 36:41SPEAKER_00: Learning how to facilitate is not just because you want to facilitate breath work for people or incorporate it into your business.
- 36:48SPEAKER_00: It's a skill set that will not only accelerate your own growth, but will allow you to feel much more comfortable and powerful in the world and in your relationship.
- 37:00SPEAKER_00: So, you know, this is something that I've been thinking about a lot and been thinking about how to articulate this because it's such a powerful energetic embodiment to have that has tentacles in all areas of your life.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: And it's not just about wanting to facilitate, right?
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: But if you do want to facilitate, you will be able to at the end of the certification if you decide to do it.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of like what's been going on and the story kind of behind me creating this level one certification because I wanted to make this work accessible to as many people as possible, whether you want to use it for your own growth or facilitate with others.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: So this metamorphosis method level one certification is six weeks and it's gonna be a six-week intensive.
- 37:53SPEAKER_00: So, you know, we're gonna have a call every week, and then we have a telegram chat where we're gonna be supporting each other, and then you're gonna be doing exchanges with other people in the group and practicing every single week.
- 38:06SPEAKER_00: So when you come out after the six weeks, you're gonna feel really confident in your ability to facilitate for others and you will have a transformation around your own stuff, right?
- 38:16SPEAKER_00: Whatever that thing is that you've been really wanting to shift, you'll come out on the other side of that as well, as long as you show up and do the work.
- 38:23SPEAKER_00: And as well, you'll come out being confident in your ability to facilitate in-person, virtual, private, and group breath work experiences.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: This is definitely a shorter version.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: It's a much lower price point than my certification.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: It's only$997.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: And then also this week only, which is actually ending on Friday, you can get an extra$300 discount.
- 38:51SPEAKER_00: All you have to do is subscribe to my YouTube channel, comment on your favorite video, and leave a review on Apple of my podcast.
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: And I'll send you the code for the$300 discount.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: So that is like a steal, but you know, you just have to send me screenshots of all that stuff, and then I'll send you the discount code.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: But I'm so excited to do this.
- 39:11SPEAKER_00: I had this idea about the level one certification back in 2022, and it's kind of something that's been percolating behind the scenes for a while.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we have ideas and it's not the right time to execute them.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: And now it was feeling like the right time.
- 39:28SPEAKER_00: If you have questions about it, please reach out to me.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: I'm happy to chat with you.
- 39:32SPEAKER_00: But I just feel like for where we're at on the planet right now, being able to quickly move through whatever is slowing you down from really valuing and honoring who you are and being able to live that, there's not really anything better to do with your time because that is like really what is going to facilitate all of the other changes you want to see in your life, whether it's money, fear, your relationships, being able to move through unprocessed, subconscious emotional energy quickly is going to clear the way to create all of these other things.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: It's at the core, you know, which I'm obsessed with getting to the root of things.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: So here we are.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna leave it there.
- 40:24SPEAKER_00: Please reach out if you guys have questions.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Um, and I'd love to hear your thoughts just around everything I shared.

- 40:41SPEAKER_00: So I am sending you so much love.
