- Jessica Figueroa: Hello everyone, we are back here with the Just For Today podcast. And today we are going to relax. Now I don't mean relaxing on the beach with a margarita, although that sounds lovely. I don't mean relaxing by booking a massage. I mean right now, while you're listening, I want you to wiggle your eyebrows. I want you to jiggle your jaw. I want you to wiggle your fingers and toes. I want you to relax your shoulders. The things that cause us the most fatigue are usually not the physical labor. It's the kind of tenseness we do when we're just sitting, we're reading something, we're furrowing our brows, and it causes us this fatigue when we're not doing anything versus if we were doing anything physical, that physical kind of fatigue is not as bad or as harmful to us as this kind of emotional fatigue. But we can learn to relax throughout our day. When you're driving, when you're sitting at work, when you're watching your children in a sport, I want you to just kind of rotate your shoulders and move your head back and forth. Get in the habit of teaching your body to relax while you're just living. Relax while you live. Relax your jaw. I know my jaw muscles after the cancer, I found my jaw getting so tight I could barely open it. And I had no idea how many muscles there are in our jaw. But I learned real quick, and I find myself now throughout the day massaging those muscles and learning to relax my jaw. Do you grind your teeth at night? Do you find yourself clenching? What are your habits of tensing your muscles that are causing you to be fatigued when you're not even doing anything? So, just for today, we are gonna ru relax our facial muscles, our body muscles, even while you're watching TV. Even while you're scrolling on your phone, I want you to relax. Today we are gonna relax. This is an easy one. I'll see you guys tomorrow.
