- 0:21Welcome to the PTT Music Podcast!
- 0:24I'm Jordan Sterling, joined as always by Ava Brooks.
- 0:28Whether you're returning to hang out with us or joining our community for the very
- 0:31first time, we're so glad you're here.
- 0:34The mission and purpose of the PTT Music Podcast is all about going behind the music
- 0:40to explore inspiration, creativity, and positive influence.
- 0:44We believe music is far more than entertainment.
- 0:47It's a powerful force that awakens emotion, strengthens the mind,
- 0:51encourages perseverance, and connects people through shared experiences.
- 0:56Today we're diving into how intentional music acts as a catalyst for focus,
- 1:01confidence, and creative momentum in our everyday lives.
- 1:05A warm welcome to all our listeners, and especially to anyone tuning in for the
- 1:09first time!
- 1:10I'm Ava Brooks, and I'm thrilled you're spending this time with us.
- 1:14The belief Jordan just shared, that music is far more than entertainment,
- 1:19is at the very core of what we do here.
- 1:22On this podcast, we explore the stories, emotions, and creative journeys behind PTT
- 1:28Music releases, showing how purposeful sound can genuinely influence our daily
- 1:32habits and mindset.
- 1:34Sound is one of the most immediate tools we have for elevating our state of mind.
- 1:39When you're building toward a goal, starting a creative project,
- 1:43or simply striving to show up with excellence in your daily routine,
- 1:46the musical backdrop you choose plays an essential role in your success and clarity.
- 1:51It really does.
- 1:52In fact, neuroscience helps explain exactly why this happens in our bodies and
- 1:57minds.
- 1:58In a landmark 2011 study published in the journal Nature Neuroscience,
- 2:02Doctor Valorie Salimpoor and Doctor Robert Zatorre of McGill University,
- 2:06along with their colleagues, used brain scanning to show that dopamine is released
- 2:11in the striatum at peak emotional moments of music listening.
- 2:15The caudate was more involved during anticipation, and the nucleus accumbens during
- 2:19the peak experience of pleasure.
- 2:22Then in 2019, Doctor Laura Ferreri of the University of Barcelona,
- 2:26along with Doctor Ernest Mas Herrero and Doctor Robert Zatorre of the Montreal
- 2:31Neurological Institute at McGill University, and their team,
- 2:34published a study in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences,
- 2:38titled Dopamine Modulates the Reward Experiences Elicited by Music.
- 2:43Their double blind experiment with 27 participants showed that dopamine plays a
- 2:47causal role in both musical pleasure and our motivation to seek out music.
- 2:52That McGill University research is so illuminating because it shows our brains are
- 2:57practically wired for musical reward!
- 3:00Along with that, a March 2024 feature in Harvard Medicine Magazine by Allison Eck,
- 3:06titled How Music Resonates in the Brain, explains that music lights up nearly all of
- 3:12the brain.
- 3:13Doctor David Silbersweig, the Stanley Cobb Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard
- 3:18Medical School, who leads neuroimaging research on how brain networks work,
- 3:23says we seem to be very much tuned for music.
- 3:26The article describes music engaging our emotional circuits,
- 3:31our memory, and our motor systems all at once.
- 3:34That is why purposeful sound is such an incredible catalyst for mental clarity and
- 3:39focus.
- 3:40That biological foundation makes intentional listening an essential practice,
- 3:46which is why the PTT Music catalog is created with such clear purpose.
- 3:50Take, for example, the official track "Most High".
- 3:53"Most High" is a reminder of who the Most High is, and that reminder gives us
- 3:58confidence in everything we do.
- 4:00The beat is driving and intentional, like a heartbeat.
- 4:03When you listen to it, you're encouraged to hold your head high,
- 4:06trust your preparation, and move forward with purpose and enthusiasm.
- 4:11"Most High" is such a powerful anthem for cultivating inner strength!
- 4:15When we're reminded of who the Most High is, it gives us confidence in everything we
- 4:20do, from our work to our relationships to our creative projects.
- 4:25That beat pulses like a heartbeat, steady and intentional, and when that dopamine
- 4:31release pairs with uplifting lyrics, your mind naturally aligns with courage and
- 4:36authority, eliminating second guessing and driving you straight toward purposeful
- 4:41action.
- 4:42That's so true, Ava.
- 4:44And when you explore further across the catalog, each track brings another layer of
- 4:48inspiration to our lives.
- 4:50Another song that brings immense heart and motivation into any space is "Looking for
- 4:55Love".
- 4:56What makes "Looking for Love" stand out so brightly is how it balances emotional
- 5:00depth with uplifting, forward driving rhythm.
- 5:03When you bring the soul and feel of "Looking for Love" into your daily routine,
- 5:07it creates an atmosphere of warm harmony.
- 5:10It reminds us that genuine passion, human connection, and empathy are core pillars
- 5:16of true fulfillment and long term success.
- 5:19"Looking for Love" really opens up the conversation around why we create in the
- 5:23first place.
- 5:24Creativity is ultimately about connecting hearts and sharing authentic human
- 5:29experiences.
- 5:30When we listen to songs like "Looking for Love", it reminds us that our work,
- 5:36our art, and our relationships thrive when they're rooted in genuine care and
- 5:41positive intention.
- 5:43As Doctor Patrick Whelan of Harvard Medical School explains in that same Harvard
- 5:48Medicine Magazine feature, music puts everyone in the same emotional space,
- 5:53allowing us to bring our best self into every room we enter and every project we
- 5:59touch.
- 6:00It grounds you while lifting your spirit at the same time!
- 6:04And then when you pivot to a powerful track like "Dust Settles Faith Stands",
- 6:09you experience an incredible message of steadfast resolve and lasting endurance.
- 6:13"Dust Settles Faith Stands" speaks directly to staying grounded regardless of
- 6:18circumstance.
- 6:19When the busy noise of the world quiets down, what remains is your core conviction,
- 6:24your character, and your faith.
- 6:27Every release in the PTT Music lineup is crafted with that intention: to build
- 6:32people up and reinforce their inner foundation.
- 6:35"Dust Settles Faith Stands" is such a timeless statement.
- 6:39It reminds us that temporary challenges pass, but our vision,
- 6:44values, and faith remain unshakable.
- 6:47When we select music with intention, we actively shape our environment to support
- 6:52our growth, our mental well being, and our spiritual strength.
- 6:56Filling your daily routine with positive, purposeful sound ensures that you're
- 7:01constantly fed by truth, energy, and inspiration rather than random distraction.
- 7:07That's the beauty of Music With Purpose, Sound With Impact.
- 7:11It's not just about background audio; it's about choosing soundscapes that nourish
- 7:15your mind and propel you toward your highest potential.
- 7:19When you build a playlist centered around songs like "Most High",
- 7:23"Looking for Love", and "Dust Settles Faith Stands", you're creating a daily
- 7:27environment where focus, passion, and faith flourish naturally.
- 7:31And that atmosphere impacts everyone around you too.
- 7:35When you operate from a place of clarity and inspiration, it radiates to your
- 7:40family, your teammates, and your community.
- 7:43Great music helps us show up as the best version of ourselves every single day.
- 7:49It keeps our eyes focused on the bigger picture and gives us the energy to keep
- 7:53building, growing, and serving others.
- 7:56It truly is a transformative ripple effect.
- 7:59By staying locked into purposeful sound, we stay aligned with our goals and carry a
- 8:04positive influence everywhere we go.
- 8:07Every melody and lyric becomes an active part of our personal journey toward
- 8:11excellence and fulfillment.
- 8:13It's all about celebrating the creative process, staying locked into your unique
- 8:18calling, and enjoying every single step of the journey along the way.
