- Jessica Figueroa: Just for today, I'm gonna read to you something from Ralph Waldo Emerson. He says the purpose of life is not to be happy, it is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well. So today I want to think about, I want you to think about, and I'm gonna think about, are we useful? Are we honorable? Are we compassionate? And are we making a difference to have lived and lived well? What does that mean to you? What does that look like? What is the purpose of your life? As Christians, our purpose of our life is to Pursue God's plans for our lives, but this falls in line to be honorable, to be compassionate. I love thinking about honor because we don't think about it as much as previous generations used to. To have honor, such a beautiful word. So we're just going to think about being honorable. What do honorable people do? Let's think about it just for today and be honorable people.
